This had to be one of my favorite places in Dartmouth. All the employees are fantastic and always make sure I have tried all the new beer offerings. They are welcoming when I come in with my pup to the patio and the food is amazing. The potato salad is one of the best things I’ve ever had and the Thursday burger deal is not I it delicious but an amazing price! Nicolle, Lenny, Hillary are always amazing as is Kate! So glad to have this place close to home in Cole Harbour!
I had a great work lunch here today. Wish I took more photos. I had the fish burger with extra tartar on the side. It was delicious. Super fresh and extremely filling. Look at the size of it! Excellent meal and experience.
Been here a few times in the last year, their beers are nice and the service is generally good. However was really disappointed with the food last time. The nachos had something like cheese whiz instead of really cheese, which we were not a fan of.

The establishment's tap selection doesn't disappoint; an array of options, each cold and refreshing, forms a noteworthy highlight that promises satisfaction for any discerning palate. A swift and attentive service is an undeniable plus, ensuring that patrons can relish the moments without an undue wait. The attentive care of the staff is a testament to their commitment to guest experience. Opting for the fish and chips, I embarked on a journey that, regrettably, diverged from expectations. The dish's execution fell short—a disappointing occurrence for any diner. The overcooked fish, characterized by a batter that crumbled at the mere suggestion of a fork, hinted at a missed opportunity for a succulent centerpiece. The fish within, alas, presented itself as a dry counterpart to the vision of what could have been. Accompanying the fish were fries, a culinary companion that ought to have elevated the dish. Unfortunately, the unseasoned nature of the fries, coupled with their lack of piping hot allure, added to the sense of underachievement. In reflection, North Brewing Company's potential for a fulfilling culinary experience appeared palpable upon entry, and the attentive service and inviting atmosphere certainly contributed positively. However, the execution of the dishes, notably the fish and chips, stumbled on their path to perfection. In conclusion, my dining escapade at North Brewing Company echoed with missed opportunities. While some elements showed promise, it's apparent that the culinary execution fell short of the envisioned outcome. It is my hope that this review serves as constructive feedback, guiding the establishment towards a culinary journey that aligns more seamlessly with the anticipation set by its ambiance and service quality.
Amazing food, friendly knowledgeable staff and bonus points for offering a wide variety of gluten free foods. Oh and for having a pet friendly outdoor patio. It was our first visit (Portland street location) I wish we lived closer so this could be a regular spot for us!
This place has the best beer in Dartmouth that I have found. The Pleasant Disposition is my favorite. I had a spicy chicken thigh burger with a tasty yogurt sauce. It was so hot when I got it I had to cut it in half. It was soooo delicious. The handheld burger was served with in-house cut fries. Service was quick and friendly. If you have a meal you can purchase beer-to-go and swag with a discount. It's a great open-concept dining room with tall chairs and tables. There is some bench seating in the back. Portion sizes were a bit large for me, but nothing to complain about! Update: I got married and we used North Brewing company for our beers served. A sales person names Ben helped me. Super nice guy. The prices were fair and the been selection way better. MY NOW HUSBAND and I are so thankful the team at North Brewing Company could help with such short notice. We had a beautiful day!
Happily went to check out the brewery and see what all the buzz was. I had their Deluxe burger and fries, my husband had their Burger Bash offering and upgraded to chaat fries. The chaat fries were a little pricey as an add on, but I'd definitely order them on their own for a meal! Delicious and fresh ingredients on both of our burgers. There were several options of beers offered as well as cider, and the staff were happy to answer any questions we had. I was impressed with the ample seating + washrooms. The decor is very unique and tasteful, unlike any other bar/pub I've ever been to. Our waitstaff was attentive, personable and knowledgeable. They also included a 15% off coupon for their taproom and merchandise with our restaurant bill. We will absolutely be back.
What an awesome little gem in Dartmouth!! So many gluten free and vegan options!! Delicious spritzers and beers too!! Amazing outdoor space!! Food was absolutely fabulous and so was the staff!!

North is one of our favorite local spots. They host fun events (the drag shows are wild and I love to see that type of support in our community). We love the atmosphere, food is great, staff is always lovely and the beer is always good - in fact, their sours are beyond the best around and I really hope they start brewing them again. I was definitely a bit disappointed that they havent offered one recently so.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back your sours! I also think their usual merchandise offered is more stylish then a lot of other similar places. I love their designs on the glassware and hope they use it more on other things and enjoy the unique surf/beachy vibe that I also hope they continue. Whats even better is that they offer a 15% discount you can use on merch, if you show your receipt after dining in their taproom! Keep up the great work!
How did I miss this place which is right around the corner from where I live. Great beers to try out (huge fan of their IPA), and delicious food. They server a wonderful menu with a touch of Indian cuisine. had good time!

I Visited the place with some friends, the atmosphere was good, and quiet for a Sunday lunch, and there were board games and 15 beer options, I ordered a pork sandwich. very rich. There was room for coffee. and dessert but it wasnt on the menu. The French fries are well done for everyone... very unpleasant for me.

Good craft beer and wings
We have family in Eastern Passage and they took us to North Brewing. Nice place. The beer was good. I had the pale ale and the milk stout and my wife had the Dartmouth Dark lager. All three were good. Also had the Masala fries and the popcorn both appetizers. Both were good. We would definitely recommend this place.

Around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon, the place had most of the tables taken that rin along the wall (with bench), but all the high tables that take up the main floor were empty. My friend and I grabbed a table by the window. Lots of natural light. Huge bar with lots on tap. As soon as you come in, theres a small merchandise section with fridge of bottled & canned drinks you can buy. Overall quite clean and simple atmosphere. Friendly staff. The menu.has a strong pub Indian food fusion, with almost a Thai influence, so kind of unique. I ordered their paneer grilled cheese and a few mins later the server returned to say they were out of an ingredient. So I ordered the Drive-Thru burger, which I liked a lot. A simple homemade cheeseburger with some caramelized onions, pickles, and I assume ketchup & mustard, without checking the online menu. Juicy, not too big, tasty, just the way I like burgers. Side of homemade fries were pretty good as well. Id definitely go back.

Snacks are great, service is lovely, now with the patio open its the bees knees! Above review was written Pre pandemic, if you can believe it, North brewing has gotten even better! The food is so unique and Delicious, the beers are amazing and the staff are fun and knowledgeable. Google wanted me to update this review so things that you might not know... They have board games and card games, colouring stuff and highchairs for kids. Lots of non alcoholic options and a dedicated gf frier for all those celiacs (as well as gf ciders and seltzers). Fully accessible with a large gender neutral washroom (change table as well). The taproom space has high and low top tables and a comfy couch section. What more could you want in a brewery!

Ive been here a couple of times and enjoyed my food and drink every time. The beer is great, the menu is small but everything Ive had is very tasty. They have an Indian influence to many of their dishes I enjoy a lot. They have both a spacious patio and indoor area, and a discount to their off sales with your bill! I will be coming here again, and again. Update: I have been coming here semi-regularly for about a year and my review remains unchanged: the beer is excellent and the food is great!

Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere, and this company does feel like they re very community oriented and compassionate. I ve been sadly disappointed by the food lately. though. I love Indian food and I find the Indian food served here and their takes on Indian fusion don t work well not spicy nor flavourful enough, tasted bland. The chickpea curry I got recently tasted like sauce from a jar bought at the local mainstream grocer. And where Side Hustle used to serve food within North, they left big shoes to fill when they moved. I hope the menu is revamped in the near future.

The food was amazing, the restaurant is beautiful, the vibes are nice, the prices are pretty good too. Its expensive sure, but eating out is not cheap these days! My only complaint was the service was slightly lacking. Everyone was really friendly but spent the whole time chatting with each other at the bar. It was slow when were there so it could have just been an off day, but no one came to check how the food was or if we needed more water. However I am looking forward to coming back and trying some brews with some friends

Four people working floor staff, but I guess no one trained anyone to serve tables here. It wasnt just us, we could see others were having difficulty receiving service as well. So we got up and ordered at the bar, where we eventually received the wrong beer. Super! Space is cool. Kitchen seems good, creative and fast. Service? Awkward when they arrive, seem vaguely judgemental, and had no interest in us as patrons whatsoever.
Great vibe and energy, staff was fantastic - accommodating and really friendly! We bought beer north brewing and were able to enjoy it in the brewery - loved this option. Great interiors for people watching. The beer is also great - lots of variety! Definitely a must do when in Dartmouth the place is kid friendly too staff is too courteous and helpful as well

I can t say enough with how great an experience it was to eat on the patio of North Brewing Company. We had the Deluxe Burger,Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and Sweet & Salty Popcorn, and nothing disappointed, everything tasted delicious and fresh. Also had a couple beers and also no surprise very tasty. Needless to say we will be coming back, the Fish N Chips looked delicious, and I need to try the GULAB JAMUN . Also extra bonus my wife is celiac and ¾ of their menu has gluten free options available. Amazing! Great job to all the staff!

North s amazing line of beers makes their brewpub an easy choice to visit, you will never run out of old favourites to enjoy and new treats to sample. The food Side Hustle is putting out is also worth the drive on its own - the smashie burger is a must try, and their cauliflower is delicious. The space is beautiful and welcoming and feels extremely safe due to their COVID protocols. A really great spot to hang out.

North Brewery makes a beer called Peasant Disposition. I cant believe I am saying this, I love this IPA! I am an English beer lover and rarely drink/like IPAs. This beer is cloudy, juicy, and has a sweet pleasant hoppy finish. Yum!

North brewing is an incredible business run by spectacular, hard-working people. Never have I ever had a beer from them that didnt make my taste buds explode with flavour and my eyes light up with joy. I have ordered delivery from them on more than one occasion and have never been disappointed. The delivery is also quick and efficient, especially now they are doing same day delivery. Not to mention, the person who drops it off always brightens my day with a smile and a cheery greeting. 10 outta 10 recommend this awesome place! If youre looking for craft beer look no further!

Recently visited after their post-lockdown opening and we were greeted promptly and served even quicker. There werent any tables available outside, so we waited inside until a staff member told us there was an opening outside (thank you!). The beer is great, the seltzers are amazing, and the slushies are SO GOOD (and pretty affordable). I was concerned the slushies would be too sweet, but Im fairly certain it is very low in sugar. Also - those kimchi fries! Woah! Thanks again all, happy to have you so close by!

Ive eaten at this establishment approximately 3 times, in the last 4 weeks. Ive always sat outside, Ive found the food tasty, but the service has been exceptional. We were there last night and the young man who served us was unbelievably accommodating and definitely a pleasure to deal with. The menu is limited, but the offering never disappoint as far as taste. As far as an earlier review complaining that its not indicated on the menu that the fries are extra, it states very clearly on the menu that the burger is $12.00 and fries are $4.00.
Great place to stop and try their beers. The food we ordered to accompany our flights, was excellent. The beers were tasty and flavorful. I bought some on my way out.

This is such a great new addition to Cole Harbour! The beer selection was great and food was actually amazing!! Seemed a bit pricey for what you got at first but honestly was definitely enough food, and was so delicious that it is for sure a fair price :)

We went last night expecting to have a quick drink and some snacks. The waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable and made us all comfortable. I had the Buffalo Fried Cauliflower and a Smash Burger. It was delicious and everyone else was very happy with their food choices. We all also tried different beers and sampler flights. No one had a single beer they did not enjoy. We will definitely be back!
Finally got out cole harbour to check the new space out and was not disappointed! The tap room is great, really well done. I think this is a great addition to cole harbour, as I grew up here and believe it s time for more small businesses to be established there other than fast food joints. We had the smash burger, cauliflower & dumplings. They were so good, and the service was excellent. You can tell they source good ingredients for the dishes. As most brewery s, menus are usually limited and I was actually surprised as to how big their menu was. Would 100% recommend. Will return.

They do an amazing barrell aged beer usually around Christmas. There double IPA is also the citys best.
