I absolutely love this place but today I had my first bad experience with a new server. My receipt doesnt give a name only says Server#7 she was a bit snooty and aloud one of our meals to come out of the kitchen sub par. I also normally always tip as I love this place a lot, but no tip for this lady today ! The date on my receipt 05/26/24 4:00pm it says table 101 but we ordered take out from the bar. The club wrap and fries perfect, the chicken fingers n fries perfect but the haddock tips were a sad sight for eyes given that I have ordered this before and was a good portion.... this time it was so few fries and only like 8 tiny tips of haddock. So I paid $17 + tax for a meal so crabby we gave it to a homeless person on the way home. Ill still visit again but will be sure to check my meals before I leave next time. Whoever Server#7 is should be checking to see that meals meet the quality I have come to expect from this fine place to dine before they go out to a table or for take out. *I tried to call and ask for a managers name and was hung up on rudely, my mother tried to call and she was spoken to rudely as well. New hires making customers feel unvalued*

This is a family favorite! Their food is always delicious and flavorful and the service is pretty great! Parking: Lots of parking surrounding the restaurant and theres also more parking at the strip mall located next door, another food joint across the lot, and the Woodside ferry terminal is right across the street. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly establishment with kid menu and high chair!

Only my second visit there. First time was last week after 27 years in Dartmouth. Excellent home made burger and fries. Fresh bun, big meat Pattie, and real fries (not frozen). My friend ordered liver and onions and although I dont like liver, his meal looked amazing. And it was, according to him. Will definitely return. Parking: Not a large parking area. Could be tricky getting a spot especially at peak hours

My parents aged 89 and 93 went for dinner last week server rang meal in for 499.95 no one new how to correct the mistake so after making them wait for over 30 minutes they gave them the cash out of the safe told them to go to the bank and put it on their visa bill then had them wait while they rang up their bill again so they could pay for their meal meal should have been complimentary in-house circumstances.

beautiful view of the harbor. food is great, large sizes. staff were lovely. there were fine vegan/vegetarian options, nothing too special though. Vegetarian options: they had a vegetarian patty. nothing special, not beyond meat or anything. a little bland. but they do have the option.

The wings here are worth it !! Took my family here and we had a great wing night. Hands down great chef!! In the kitchen.

Food is always delicious here, but yesterday it was terrible. The absolute worst scrapes of haddie bites Ive ever eaten. So small you had to pick up with your fingers. Greasy fries. Too bad it happened on a day I brought guests from out of town. They were not impressed either. Food

Very poor wings. No flavor at all, and tasted like watered-down sauce. Would not return any certainly NOT recommend.

Pilots Pesto penne, Hot wings and Haddock tips were excellent. Nachos could have been really good but the cheese was just barely starting to melt (mostly unmelted) and veggies were cold underneath. Also had onions when we asked for none. Service was slow at times but very friendly. Nachos and slow service were understandable as the place was packed and there was a party of 70 in the back. Overall great atmosphere, very happy customers and very good food with good portions and prices. Also a nice view of the harbour! We will be back again and cant wait to try some dessert. Kid-friendliness: Crayons, activity page, kids menu, high chair, changing table and covered cups with straw offered.

Food was great , service terrible. One waitress served all Attitude. While our service did not want to give wiped down salt and pepper and ketchup, that she took from another table while the customers were finishing up eating . She said there is no Restrictions! I guess so , the back table 3 customers ate while we were here and they did not wipe it down once . Til we told the 3rd customers do not seat there it hasnt been wiped down til after 2 other ppl ate . Walking in to the restaurant the lady at the bar was pleasant very nice . Their waitresses need customer service training very rude .

Servers were lovely but the food was not good. The cheese wasnt even fully melted on our nachos. Deep fried batter wasnt crispy/done on the apps. Was disappointed in the experience.

Had the lobster roll and cesar salad. Horrible, lobster tasted off, and they tried to cover it up with lemon. The lettuce was starting to rot with brown spots. Was extremely overpriced for what you got. Not fresh lobster.

One of my all time favorite local spots for great pub food and cold beer! The servers are ALWAYS super friendly and look after me very well. Good view of Halifax as well. Highly recommended.

I had Quesadilla, which was very good, a little salty. Others had hamburger and fish and chips, they said was good. All had large servings. Caesar salad was very garlicky.

We arrived at the pub at supper time, upon entering we over heard people who entered before us explain how rude the staff were. There was no one who greeted us and there was a small sign to say seat yourself. The pub was busy but proceeded to look for a table. The first table were were told by a customer that it was reserved, there was no sign on the table indicating it was reserved, but we moved on to look for another. We walked to the back where we found another table, we were about to sit down when we were rudly told by a staff member it was reserved. I asked how do we tell if a table was available or not. The waitress was very short with me saying its set isnt itas if I should know that it was being reserved. I have only been to your establishment a handful of times before and only at lunchtime and never had an issue finding a seat. I understand you were busy and would have waiting gladly at the door for a table, but because of this experience I will not be back and I will not recommend you to my military community.

Awesome throwback restaurant. Very roomy old style (original) booths. VLTs way over to the right, out of the way. Wait staff bang on and food came as mentioned. Great view of Halifax downtown from the other side. Awesome place to see cruise ship departures when an oil rig isn t anchored. Go see for yourself. I d give them a .83 stars.

Clean spot to eat, alot of space and large room off to side for large group gatherings. Its a seat yourself type place, however staff did not like where my group chose to sit. Advised where we SHOULD have sat, stating she now cannot wipe down table for us. Not sure what the issue was.... That waitress never came back and a new young lady advised she was told to come take care of this table, so she would be new server..... Very nice woman, possibly management came by and asked how our food was. Kids meal came with homemade burger which was a nice touch.

Terrific food. The french fries are the kind that everyone loves from restaurants, the kind with the skin on. As everyone knows, theyre the cornerstone for a successful food establishment. The deep fried haddock pieces are large. The clubhouse sandwich; which I always get at pubs is among the best around. As others have mentioned the serving waitresses are very nice and welcoming. The best time to go is between 7:30 and 9:00 when the sun goes down across the basin, their solarium is the best in the city for enjoying a meal. Tell them youre a friend of Steves.

Good meal with great friends. I had liver and onions, although I like thicker sliced liver, this was ok, and satisfied my appetite for liver I dont make at home. Choc cheesecake was delicious. We had the smaller room for our group which was perfect. Our server was new, and a bit slow but super sweet and friendly. Its go back.

Always a great place to go for any meal. They are made in house and I would recommend you try it as see for yourself. Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu about 5 things.

The name suggests a fun aviation themed restaurant and pub however the interior is far from aviation themed. Where there are a few aviation related pictures along the hallway to the restrooms and maybe one or two in other areas, the theme is quite lacking. The food was alright but not quite what was expected. My wife ordered haddock which came covered in cheese. It did say there was cheese on the menu but she hadnt noticed untill our food arrived at the table and it was not mentioned what the dish was really like by the waitress who was pleasant enough I suppose but I could tell she was used to her regular customers. I ordered a burger that tasted good but was dripping with grease. Not my favorite. All in all it was an okay spot to eat but nothing spectacular.

Ordered nachos and potato skins. Nachos were great lots of them. Potato skins were a different story. Started out fine then ran into gross over seasoning of the skins so much so that couldnt finish them. The cook either didnt care or wasnt paying attention as there was so much of this salt based seasoning it made them uneatable. Hours later I still have a terrible after taste.

Tried this restaurant on a whim because we couldnt get parking at Johns lunch. My expectations were low considering the look of the exterior and dated interior. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Nothing fancy but menu had average items and everyone at our table enjoyed the food. If you are looking for a unpretentious place with good food and service, this is the place

The lightly breaded scallops (from the lunch menu) are delicious! My husband wanted a vegetarian option and the server quickly offered several options. He really enjoyed the veggie burger. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would eat here again.

Classic pub with classic pub food. I had the club sandwich, which needed a pile more mayo and/or butter. Club sandwiches can be pretty dry. The fries were good!

We have been to Pilots Pub many times, however it has gone down hill. Today service was great as always, however the menu is a fraction of what it once was, Asked for eggs benedict but told there was no hollandaise sauce. Asked for fishcakes and we were told they had none. Asked for sausage and eggs and were told that there were no home fries so we had to accept french fries. The waitress said it was a staffing issue, however I would suggest that it is the neglect of the owner.

Found the place quite by accident as it is not in a tourist area. The food was excellent and the staff friendly, especially as the hurricane was merely hours away.

Well , a Lady and I went , sat at Bar so not to tie up a table , late Sunday Sept. 25 th afternoon . We ordered two draft , two glasses of wine , order of fries over 90 minutes or so . Asked for our Bill , told $39.00 and change , waitress said I cannot ( and meaning I will not not give you any Bill with the breakdown ) and here is the MACHINE . . Run by a mother , two daughters , so no need to call Management later , one may of been my server . . . Very Upsetting Ending . .

Server and its service is awesome.

Completely unreliable schedule. If you are going to close at 8pm every night, change your schedule to reflect that instead of advertising 10am-10pm and just locking up whenever you feel bored. Not a great way to keep the customers coming back.

Potato skins is a highlight. Had many a good time at pilots over the years the staff is great. Its a mainstay of Woodside lifestyle. Its where ya go to get a nice pitcher of beer and a couple spins in on the machines with your lass. Its where ya go to get a decent burger and a pile a chips. A mug a brew and bottle of schooner.

Love this place. The food is great but its certainly the people that make it the most enjoyable. Id love to see a few other items added to the menu so that we can visit more often without getting bored of the food but other than that I wouldnt change a thing.

Went Sunday Nov 27th ordered was excited to try this place out because I heard good things. Was in the mood for nachos and added chicken. nachos had a good portion size however the chicken was not season and it was very bland. Nachos weren t holding and all the toppings were falling off. We also ordered the potato skins to a great surprise were huge. They were delicious tons of cheese and toppings. I give my experience a 3/5 I would visit again but would not order the nachos and would try some of the main dishes. Overall pretty good experience.

Great atmosphere Food was alright, pretty expensive for what you got and a small portion. I ordered a chicken ceaser wrap, it was lettuce, dressing and breaded chicken. It leaves a lot to be desired. I suppose it was something pretty simple I ordered, I just expected a bit more like some Parm in there
