Hidden gem! Best fish and chips around. Had to have it two nights in a row. Fantastic service by Maddie, who is a ray of sunshine! Would recommend this place to anyone for the quality, quantity, and service. Parking: The restaurant is located inside the Best Western Plus and there is sufficient available for both.

This restaurant has some of the most flavourful food I have ate in Dartmouth. The portions are also very large and service and atmosphere was A plus.

Waited a bit for the food but it was worth the wait. Nachos were too notch & so was everyone s food, would definitely eat here again on vacation

Ordered online but had to call to ask a question and the lady was super friendly and found me all the info I needed, the food was amazing. I wasn t honestly expecting much for the price but the portions were generous. The buffalo chicken bacon ranch dip and mac and cheese with braised beef are both amazing.

Staff was awesome, food is very good, price is reasonable. My husband and I recommend.

One of my favourite restaurants. Weve never even stayed in the hotel its connected to but this place has become a regular in our rotation. The food is so good, portion sizes are great for the price weve yet to have a poor experience.

Dietary restrictions: I have to say a huge hut for accomodating my food issues. Joe our waitress was so helpful. Im going through chemo is a challenge with food. She and the kitchen went out of their way to help me. Joe was fabulous and kind. She was so sweet.I definately will recommend this restaurant to all. . And the next time we went was the same treatment. Good on Trenz for having amazing staff. This made our visit much better. Thank you Joe.

Me and my partner came here for burger week and within a couple of hours we feel extremely nauseous and sick to our stomachs when I was eating my burger I noticed it was blood red in the middle still. The service was awful burger week, I think not more like food poisoning week. Stay away.

They need to clearly separate themselves from the hotel if they want to be seen as a restaurant. Enforce a boundary for non restaurant patrons. Throughout the meal there was a stream of barefoot, unaccompanied children (5-7yolds) in pijamas wandering around. No one goes to a restaurant to have random kids exploring around between the tables. The staff seemed overwhelmed with the place mostly empty and they werent keeping up with clearing tables. The layout also had the staff literally running around, with the tables getting cleared to a stand by the bar, and then someone else having to make the trip between the bar and kitchen. Its only going to take one kid deciding to take a drink from an uncleared table for them to risk their liquor license. This was during Burger week, so maybe this was busier than normal for them, but still ~60% empty and no line at the door for pickup or anything. Food was decent and what youd expect for ~$20

The food here is great but I do find the menu a lil small. With that said theres always something to choose.

I m reviewing this based on a takeaway order. We travel with a dog so don t have the opportunity to dine in anyplace. If you are looking at takeaway back to your hotel I d suggest finding another restaurant. We had two orders of the mac n cheese and a Caesar salad. Each mac n cheese was maybe a cup and a half of elbow macaroni in a rather ordinary cheese sauce. The caesar salad was a bunch of kale with a side of dressing and some kind of fried Parmesan chip on top. No croutons, no shredded Parmesan. How they can call it a Caesar salad is beyond me. This three dishes totalled almost $50, even with a 15% discount, and were completely not worth it. We were very disappointed with what we got for that kind of money. Very little value or enjoyment at all. Now, if you dine in that might be a completely different story, I cannot vouch for that, but for takeaway look elsewhere.

Extended family of 10 staying at the BW for the duration of our evacuation. 10/10 service and care given by all staff. Food was pretty good, wish there were more vegetables on the menu but thats my only complaint. Salads are generous and delicious. Thanks again =)

Awesome food here! The Nova Scotia Garlic Fingers is not your traditional garlic fingers, but has drizzled honey added to it, making it possibly the best Ive ever had.

Great food and great service, was impressed with how fast it came out and how out of our many dishes ordered they were all done well, as well as a delicious dessert! Vegetarian options: Had an array of both vegetarian options and not.

Our experience was absolutely amazing, we had Theresa as our server and she was an absolute delight!! I d come back solely for Theresa, if you get a chance to meet her you will not be disappointed!! Thank you again Theresa! Vegetarian options: I m a vegetarian myself and I usually find it hard to eat out due to lack of options, but there was so many options here that I just couldn t decide!! I ll definitely have to come back to try the flatbreads as they look delicious!!

Took my BFFs out for dinner to celebrate birthdays. Food was amazing. The sticky toffee pudding is my new dangerous fav dessert.

The staff was very pleasant and very nice which is why this is two stars. Unfortunately, the meal was a large disappointment. We came here a few months ago and had the best meal and best service. Not sure what happened since then, but we are very disappointed. The beef brisket poutine was very bland. The mussles were very salty. The cashier switched out the poutine, which was very much appreciated. However, the wife had a Buffalo chicken sandwich with fries, also not great in flavor. We were so very much excited to return here. Feeling very let down.

Stopped in for lunch on a slow afternoon. Had the SMOKEHOUSE BURGER, with a side of BAR CHIPS. Both were absolutely sublime. The burger in particular was one of the best Ive ever had. Cant wait to try it again!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. I stayed for 3 days and never left the hotel to eat here every meal. If I made a menu of awesome foods this would of been it!, ery creative, great tasting! AND AFFORDABLE! Staff was ALL very friendly as well. If you live in the area, this is a must visit place!

Two words....food coma....when the menu states for the table they mean it. Portions were huge and flavourful. Prices are great for what you get. Servers were amazing,not just with us but with the other tables too. Friendly and engaged and the takeout containers plentyful. A great start to out sister get away!

We just had the Southern Belle Chicken Burger as part of Burger Bash 2022. This is a hand-breaded, butter milk dipped chicken breast topped high on a brioche bun topped with southern BBQ pulled pork, house-made corn bread crumble and home made southern sausage gravy! Seasoned and fried to perfection. Served with a side of bacon BBQ beans. The above is the official description, ours would be the best burger we had in our lives , combined with fries that had a bit of paprika on it, this was truly a gastro experience that I recommend to everyone. On top of the food the staff was excellent, attentive when needed and very friendly. Trust me, the picture looks okay, but the real thing is just awesome.

The burger they had for burger week was incredible. The Southern Belle burger. One of the best chicken sandwiches Ive ever had. Hopefully it gets put on the permanent menu. Service was also fantastic. Theresa was honestly one of the best waitresses Ive ever had. The people at my table and I were really impressed

Today I was served by Maddie, a very friendly and welcoming person. I ordered fish tacos (sorry no photo), they were recommended by Maddie and the tacos didnt disappoint. Excellent job in the kitchen. To drink I had a couple of mojitos mixed by Maddie. She gathered fresh mint from the kitchen as I preferred to not have the mint simple syrup that was stocked in the bar. Amazing customer service from Maddie. I highly recommend this restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel. (Best Western Plus)

This is a fairly quiet place. the staff are informative and friendly. Food was good. I did go again. Recommend seafood linguine

The serving sizes are crazy big! The non dusted wings are amazing! The buffalo chicken bacon ranch dip is the biggest serving I ve ever seen, comes with nann bread, house made chips and tortillas, soooo big!!!! The tower of onion rings is actually on a cutting board. And that s a huge order!!! Kinda like A&W but not as salty! All this and 2 beer = under $65. Couldn t eat it all!

Had the wings for pick up on their wing night which is on Thursdays (65 cents a wing with min. Of 10 wings) and they were fantastic. Really good size and they are lightly dusted. Sauce selection is abit better than basic. Id go back for sure!

Great Service & server! But who, puts beer & caramelized onions on mussels???? Also. Seafood chowder had one potatoe and no fish, only 3 mussels, and 2 shrimp, and 1 scallop.

Our waitress Kelly P was amazing! I was traveling with my family from Pittsburgh to Nova Scotia & we stopped here for dinner. She sat us immediately & was very warm & friendly! She gave us a whole pitcher of iced water for the table & a whole lemon slices up for our water! Very generous! I ordered the Flatbread with pears & goat cheese & the seafood chowder, both were excellent! We all also shared the bread pudding for dessert which was delicious! We all enjoyed our food & left happily full! Such a great place & experience! Highly recommend!

My husband and I were staying at the hotel and decided to try Trendz because of the menu we had seen online. When we looked at the menus after our server left our table, we realized that the menu was not the same as we had seen online, and that the meals we considered trying, were no longer on the menu. When the server arrived at the table to take our order, I mentioned that the menu she gave us didnt offer the same things that we had seen online. She stated that she had been working there for about a year now, and that the menu we were given, is the same menu thats been there since she started. My husband inquired about a drink that was available on the other menu and was told that they no longer make it. I was also disappointed because a drink I really wanted to try, wasnt on the menu anymore either. Had we seen the updated version of the menu, most likely we would have eaten elsewhere. Due to it being later in the evening and we were tired from the day, it was too late to go somewhere else. Our server was good, the prices fair and the food was ok. I was really disappointed in the menu though as it was the original menu that had brought us there in the first place. We werent the only ones who were left disappointed, as the same thing happened to another customer. He stated it was the original menu that brought him there as well. I feel this is a dishonest way of bringing customers to your restaurant. You know its very unlikely they will leave once theyve been seated and will just accept the choices available. I could understand if the changes had just been made, or a couple of months, but a year? Thats unacceptable. Update your menu!

Greasy flatbread, super salty soya sauce soaked gray looking pad thai beer from can was very good though the ambience not all at all what I expected from a Gastro Pub with upscale fare but then again, the beer was fantastic

Went to the Trendz cafe a few time during our stay at the Best Western. Super calm restaurant, friendly waitress, menu with a lot of different options. Loved the little pulled pork bao buns!

I changed my review from 5 stars to 1star. I used come here alot. The quality has changed so much in the last year, I will never come back. I had the worst meal of my life here today. I did not have to pay for it but the BBQ brisket sandwich was cold and the meat was fatty and had a heavy garlic flavour. My wife had brunch where there was a choice of meat it only came with balogna with BBQ sauce and 2 tater tots as hash browns. The eggs were over done to boot. I know we wont be back.

Not impressed at all. Ordered the chicken parm and a kid s cheeseburger meal through skip the dishes. Food gets here and it s missing the kids meal. Skip obviously does not go back and get it as they re not responsible for the accuracy, and I did not have another 45 mins to wait to give my child supper. The food was just gross. Worst chicken parm I ve ever had, the pasta was not even edible. I threw it out and only ate the mediocre chicken. Even worse was the carrot cake, dry as a bone and the frosting tasted sour.

Great friendly service. Best chicken wings I have had in many years. Ordered way too many! Awesome staff. We will be back. This was a hidden gem..

My thoughts on the facility in no way reflect my thoughts on the performances of John or Lisa; both of whom were amazing. My issue is more with the set up. Putting people at the same table with those you dont know, especially during this time is a tad risky in my book. Considering tickets were sold out in advance, why was there not better seating plans. Social distancing certainly was not done and because food and drinks were served, everyone was maskless. Yes proof of double vaccines was required but Im not sure where our 3rd party person would have sat has she been able to come.

Bottom line up front: Abysmal service and bland food. But the place looked nice. (Open for more...) We went for Dine Halifax special menu, the setting is fantastic, high end feeling, and the menu is seductive - took me away from the special menu I came for because it all looked so good. My wife had trouble deciding what to order and I was very excited for my dish! But thats where the magic ended for me. 1) The waiter failed to provide a drink menu until we specifically asked for it while he took our order (... and its a wine bar... cmon) 2) Both my wifes and my food, while appealing on the menu, were bland and underwhelming. 3) The waiter never took our drink order, instead just returned to drop off the food before quickly leaving the table. 4) The waiter never came back to check on the food or top up our water, and was out of sight for the duration. I ended up having to share my water with my wife. 5) Waitor was very chatty when the tip option was in my hand, but otherwise seemed totally disinterested. Wont be going back. Sorry Trendz.

Great service & nice variety

Ordered nachos through skip the dishes. Didnt come with sour cream or salsa. Never heard of that before lol. Paid for guacamole and didnt receive that. Very dry without any sauces.

Been to this restaurant several times and it provides good food and exceptional service. Ive also had the Sunday breakfast/brunch when staying at the hotel and it is the best brunch with the absolutely largest selection Ive ever had anywhere (in Canada or internationally).

Had a good takeout dinner while staying at a nearby hotel. Service was prompt and courteous. I had some trouble finding initially in the dark, signage from the road was not prominent.

We had business lunch there, a lot of parking, food is good, I had haddock there, taste good and fresh. Staff is friendly and hospital.

We went to trendz tonight for dinner. There were 5 adults and 2 kids, we all left with nothing left on our plates. The food was very good quality, presentation was great and delicious. We give this restaurant 5 stars. Staff were very attentive and friendly as well!

Went for burger week because the burger sounded interesting. Pleasantly surprised to find that there was a choice of 4 special burgers including a veg option. We tried 2 different burgers that were both excellent!. Our server Kelly was not just good at her job, but fun and intuitive, a real professional. Unfortunate for the weird hollow sound in the restaurant.

I love the food here! I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and I ate at the restaurant 3 of the 4 nights. I tried the lobster risotto, the lobster poutine and the lobster dinner. Beyond tasty. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Side note: my friends ordered other items from the menu and were very satisfied as well.

Had dinner here last night. What an amazing night. The food was amazing had the risotto with salmon, lobster, haddock. But not only that the server (Shelby)was one of the best servers we have ever had. Great personality, treats you like royalty. Thank you for a great experience
