Couldn't get simple orders right. We ordered as a group 1/2 the people got their food within a reasonable amount of time. The rest of us got ours by the time they were all done. Overall, Im not happy. Also, they advertised smash burgers, and they are dry as all hell patties.
Food for 6 people was just unbelievable! Our entre had 2 long hairs in it! They did not charge us for that item but the rest of our food was terrible! The server was awesome and knew we were not happy. She was very apologetic but 2 hairs in two different pieces of food?? CLEAN UP YOUR KITCHEN!!
We went to Big Leagues to see Joe Murphy and the Water St. Blues Band. It was our first time there and we decided to try a few menu items. We really enjoyed the wonton nachos, the mozzarella planks, and the steak poutine. The wonton nachos were unlike anything we’ve ever had before. They were very good but a little more sauce and some seasoning on the chicken would take them to the next level. The mozza planks were delicious: homemade and cooked perfectly. Our server was Jill and she was very friendly. Since we were there for a while, we really appreciated how she regularly checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The atmosphere is exactly what it claims to be - a sports bar! It wasn’t a fancy night out but it was fun and the food and drinks were good!
It was busy when we arrived, but we were seated within 10 minutes. We had boneless wings and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks are hand-made and excellent, served with marinara sauce. The boneless wings were like pumped up chicken nuggets, juicy, and tasty. Thursday night thunder mugs are cheap after 8pm. Service was excellent despite the establishment being swampped when we arrived. Trivia is also held Thursday nights.
We were lied to about reserved booth tables as soon as we got there, and were forced to sit among a pile of others at tall tables in the middle of the floor next to the band. Sat for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement from servers, had to go to the bar to get drinks, where I was told the server would look after that. I was done being shuffled around by then and said you can get our drinks or your boss whichever will cause you less headache. All said, save for being lied to and ignored, the food was decent. If prompt service is important to you, find another Cole Harbour bar.
Went into Big Leagues, later in the evening, Monday Aug 12th. My wife and I ordered their fish and chips and I must say it was excellent. Chef cooked nice thick pieces of nicely battered fish to perfection. Also, plenty of good fries, tatar and coleslaw to go with the entree. All at a very reasonable price. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Looking fwd to our next visit !!!!

Just ok - Typical pub grub for lunch. Tried out the three little pigs burger with fries. The fries were short cut limp without crisp and just warm. The burger was ok but I think it was missing a bit of character. Perhaps the lack of bbq sauce or perhaps a strong cheese would have completed it. The lunch meat was a meh. I would would have preferred bacon. Wife had the Dads BBQ meatloaf which tasted more like a purée than what I grew up with. Basically it’s nice to try but not our thing. The onion rings were nice and the cornbread was just eh. Daughter had the cheese pizza which was just ok. Service was on point. No complaints there. Washroom needs to be cleaned and have the toilet in men’s bolted to the floor. I nearly tipped the thing over

I typically order takeout from here every now and then, and I rarely have any complications. I d recommend the fish and chips or poutine, those are my go-to menu items.

I was forward to steak bites and eggs to be told it was no longer available. It was still on the menu. So disappointing. If an item is unavailable please inform patrons or remove it from the menu.
Great bar to sit,Drink, Eat and watch your favorite team play with or with out friends. Dietary restrictions: Will make your food special for you just gotta ask Parking: Big parking lot directly in front of the bar . Lots of spots available Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of room for plenty of wheelchairs and no stairs so no obstacles

We ve eaten here a few times and mostly gotten takeout. We absolutely love the Thai Wonton nachos and definitely recommend them.

Its been years since my last visit. Decided to give it a try and have the wings. 17.00 for 10 what were noted as breaded wings on the menu. The wings were not breaded and very small. The server was amazing. I dont suggest going for the wings if that is what you are the hunt for. Update maybe pass on the pizza too

Visited this pub for the first time in a few years and was very impressed, the food is amazing with good portions. Lots of different meal types other than the normal pub food. They have a good date night special on Wednesdays. Highly recommend the coconut curry bowl.
Food was hohum..had Mexican dishes fajitas, and fajitas bowl. Guacamole bland not fresh made for sure, salsa same. Good sports bar atmosphere, friendly service but food needs a bit more.

This place has been our go-to for a very long time! Its one of our favorite local pubs. The servers are always very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is very typical for a modern pub vibe, which is something we enjoy. They dont have GF options, which hopefully changes soon. They have a great menu! From your typical pub food to delicious bowls. Their wings are very good for wing night and below average pricing. Great drink selection, and I love their brand beer! Typical bill we have when we go there is $20-$30 per person which is typical nowadays. Highly recommended spot if you are ever in Cole Harbour or Bayers Lake! Wheelchair accessibility: There are spots with stairs to go to other sections of the restaurant but do have tables for wheelchairs/walkers.

We popped in for supper while running errands. Food came really fast and it was hot. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Great value for the food, and it was delicious. We had the fish, fantastic. We will be back.

We most recently went to Big Leagues for supper with friends. We are local and have been to Big Leagues many times. Always great food and service in the past but this time was the exception. Food was terrible , and service was lacking with experienced wait staff . We were approached after sending our food back to confirm if we were staying for the band and if so it was a 5.00 cover. This was before we even Got our replacement food . Unexceptionable!! We were told new kitchen staff!! Big Leagues have always been a great spot locally but apparently management has opted to save money with unprofessional staff and poor Kitchen service / food. We wont be back!!! Bring back the old. Big Leagues

Sub par food at best. Also, the way they treat local musicians is horrible. Last minute cancelations are a thing with whoever the clown is that does their bookings. Do better all around instead of being a dive bar.

Forgot a part of my order on take out and refused to give me a refund, instead offered me a gift card. They also knew they forgot it when I walked in the door but did not bother to call despite having my number on the take out order. I drove an extra half hour to be offered cold potato skins and a gift card and refused a refund for the potato skins they forgot. Also the manager on duty refused to even speak to me.
Big leagues was pretty big. Out of my league though. I enjoyed the waiter Brian. He said that was going to download the SwearNet App so he could watch Unreasonable Rob. God love him.
Were big fans of this place, we dont live nearby so never have the opportunity to get sloshed. But the foods always solid and weve often passed up fancier places for it.

Not bad for pub food . We always try to support local and we are glad that we discovered this place . The first time we went was for our anniversary the night that Hurricane Fiona hit and the service and food were amazing . Our waiter was very on point and was always checking in on us and topping up our beverages. It can get very loud at times because it s a sports bar . The second time we went and it was in the middle of a blizzard last week . We brought the teenagers as it was for my birthday dinner . The food was great but the waitress was a little forgetful . The beer is good ! The big leagues blonde . Will definitely be back again
We tried the Bayer s Lake location tonight, they opened less than 2 weeks ago so keep that in mind.Drinks came quickly, app came quickly and then we waited over an hour for our food. When it did come it was bad. The meat was extremely dry and hard on the sandwich and burger, and on my sandwich cold. I have never sent anything back before but this was just not what I was looking for after waiting an hour. Our server was Emma, and she was AMAZING 20/10 this girl deserves a raise. She was very understanding and sweet. She spoke to the manager who comped our meals and gave us a free desert. Although the food wasn t good we would go back once they ve been there a little longer to see if it improves, but honestly mostly just because the customer service was so good. Thank you Emma!

Menus says they have gluten free items but there was none when we visited. Server was very confused as to what beer they had and what if anything was gluten free. Place looked nice and clean and part of the table got goot sweet potato fries. We just came because north Brewing tap room was closed.

Went there for the first time this evening with my family and I must say it was a welcoming environment. Our server who I believe was named Angel was absolutely amazing. She was extremely helpful and beyond friendly and accommodating. This young lady definitely made my first impression a great one and because of her superb hospitality as well as the amazing food, I will definitely be back.
My boyfriend and I went to the big leagues in bayers lake, he had the cheesesteak and absolutely LOVED it, and I have the coconut curry bowl, and it was also delicious! Service was great, Kylie was our server, very sweet! We will definitely be coming back! :)

We went here Friday night for our wedding anniversary. Always enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Looked forward to the best beef dip ever but this night the cook sent out a bowl of drained hamburger juice for the dip. Crystal, the best gal behind the bar, took it back and then was told this was the dip and to give it back to me. Wow. Just an awful plate of food.

The Wonton Nachos with shredded carrot and cabbage, chopped peanuts with Sweet Chilli Thai Sauce is absolutely amazing. This was my second time trying these nachos and they were just as good the second time as the first. I highly recommend the Wonton Nachos during your next visit.
I ll give a two only because when I went here in person it was great! But ordering through Uber? Absolutely horrible!!! I ordered Nachos, loaded poutine and 3 pop and they forgot the nachos!! This is the 2nd time I ve ordered delivery and they screwed it up! I mean come on you can t keep track of an order with 2 food items??!! On top of that, the poutine that the three of us split consisted of 3 small mozza sticks, 3 onion rings and a fries with a few bacon bits and cheese curds!! Not worth $20 in my opinion!! I ll never eat here again and I ll never recommend this place again! Should not be in business if you can t remember nachos and a loaded poutine!!
Awesome service today
Went there for a meal with my cousin late this afternoon. The service was great as always! We shared some of the mozzarella planks to start. After that, he had the pan-fried haddock while I had the smokey bacon burger. To top it all off, I had the lemon meringue pie, while he had the Boston cream pie. All in all, it was a great meal. Will definitely be back again!
Never had a bad experience here yet: Staff are super friendly, Big Leagues burgers/wings and trivia night never disappoints. Plenty of big screens, for the ultimate game day experience!
Trivia night was wonderful! The host was entertaining and had great questions that we werent over/under-whelmed by. The servers were all phenomenal and even though they were very busy they had a ton of patience and made time for us and our questions about the menu as it was our first time there. For the downside, the food was just meh. It was wing night so one might assume theyd be more fresh, but they were incredibly greasy and the grease tasted old. If we went back it wouldnt be to eat! Three stars for staff & service only.

Your neighborhood sports bar with a decent menu selection, standard decor, friendly service, lots of free parking. I was here on a Saturday night in June 2023 with a friend, specifically to watch a band that has a coworker of ours. Surprised at 8pm that the place wasnt very packed yet. We took a booth in a corner and sat back to relax. Split a potato skins, which were good/standard cheese, bacon bits, green onion, sour cream. No complaints. My friends Black Horse seemed flat. My Coors Lite was fine. Id go back here anytime that someone suggested it.

Went in for Karaoke for the first time..great host..ordered food..was just ok. Server was absolutely great but she got off work and then never really saw anybody again. The person who was supposed to be our server was now behind the bar..only saw her when we asked for the bill

Great service from Brian, only ordered the Quesadilla, however it was really good. My sister ordered some drinks, and Brian made an awesome experimental Coffee inspired drink (pictured) would very much reccomend. Service was quick, despite it being busy.

I went to Big Leagues last night in a group of 6. We stood at the door for 30 - 40 minutes while the host gave tables to people that came in after us. When I brought this to her attention I was told I thought you were a group of 4 however she didnt even bother to ask how many of us there were. She proceeded to make us wait while giving tables to other guests- very snarky attitude all while chewing her gum obnoxiously. Hardly the behavior a host of a restaurant should exhibit. The other staff that were working were good and food was also good however this particular host spoiled the experience. I might also add that she was helping her group of friends cheat trivia. I will not return to this establishment.

An excellent sports pub, everything is clean and tidy, fast and pleasant service, fast food service when fully loaded, delicious fresh beer and the opportunity to watch sporting events, everything you need for a good evening, but the only downside is that the food is too fatty.
