Worst food ever They put curry on plain rice which made so soggy and amount of rice lot and curry less made it worst Food

service was horrible ,wouldn t give more than one packet of peanuts ,she was rude as well.I had a bad experience at this thai express location .Spending 20+ on one entree and not be givin or having available more than one packet of peanuts is sad

Waited 15 minutes before staff came out of the back. Then was served by a rude lady, who then gave me attitude when I asked for peanuts. McDonald s has better customer service then this place.

A much better experience than I was expecting! Really enjoyed their take on General Tao x Pad Thai. Good service, clean dining room, and the portion was huge.

A decent lunch joint, but Cha Baa Thai makes a much better Pad Thai with a larger portion for the same price.

Must read!!!!!! I WALKED INTO THAI EXPRESS in Burnside, watched the cashier spit on her hand and rub a cut on her foot with said spit. When I told her to wash her hands she said and I quote well Im not touching your food. I talked to the cook about it this woman said I didnt yell at you why did you tell on me? And the worst part is the guy that was mopping the floor came over and began trying to justify it as the youg lady with a limp started saying loudly at me did i yell at you? Be careful who you buy food from.

This is easily the worst Thai food Ive ever had. Disclaimer: it was so bad that Im here writing a review which I almost never do. Very Americanized, bland version of what should be the most flavourful and amazing food in the world. The portions/ cuts were weird; way too many plain noodles, bean sprouts, iceberg lettuce and rice and almost no other veggies or flavour. The mini tom yum soup was entirely noodle and almost no broth even when I asked for less noodle. The broth also had almost no flavour. The mango salad and fresh spring rolls were a joke and each almost entirely made of iceberg lettuce. The spring rolls was actually only one and was also a ridiculous, unmanageable size. Completely fell apart like a bag of lettuce in my hand. They are supposed to be smaller and bite-sized. Only the Pandan Thai iced tea was passable -- but that would be hard to mess up. I literally feel like a just ate a meal of iceberg lettuce, plain rice and noodles and the faintest amount of cheap generic condiment sauce. Someone from this establishment needs to spend some time in Thailand and figure out how to make this kind of food. Ive been 5 times myself and its an amazing place.

I am generally excited to get Thai Xpress, and it is always amazing, but I m extremely disappointed with the order I received last night, which was almost tasteless, there was no flavour almost at all, and what little flavour it had tasted quite different than what I generally get, I get Thai express once or twice a week and this is the first bad order I got, I ll continue ordering, however to the man working last night I will probably avoid this location as it was not busy at all and I was the only one there And I received two pies, both with absolutely no flavor, and they re usually very juicy, but these were not and this is a first. This was the Dartmouth Crossing location, the staff was friendly, however, with it not being busy I was quite disappointed Considering how amazing and juicy my pad, Thai always is

Service staff are EXCEPTIONALLY rude. Will get your order wrong consistently. Location is always out of dishes that take longer to prepare. Only location Ive found that doesnt honor corporate promotions. Dont go to this one.

Update: I ve changed it to 4 stars. They listened to my issues and have changed their process. We order Thai Express at work quite often and unfortunately we need to use this location. Every single time the boxes are not marked. We need to open them all up and see what is what. Also some people get mild, some get medium, with the same meals. No idea which is which. I ve complained in person, I ve complained to Uber eats, I ve emailed Thai express, I ve used their contact us on the app, and I ve used the contact us on their website. Nobody has ever replied to me. I mean how hard is it to write what peoples orders are on the boxes??? I almost always end up choosing the mild one when my coworker chooses my spicy one and then it s awkward to switch. Such an unneeded annoyance and just pure laziness. These orders are $200+ Every week, it seems like you d want to continue with our business but I guess not since nobody replies and nothing changes. In the future I ll pay extra to have another location do our order and if it still continues we ll switch to Wok Box

Ive ordered from other Thai Express restaurants and they were good. I got food from this location via Skip and it was awful. The pad thai was dry, had hardly any vegetables (1 piece of broccoli, some carrot slices and a few sprouts). I ordered spicy but instead got completely bland. Horrible. Cant rate this low enough.

Gone here only few times, love the pad thai, last time I was here I ended up getting cold steamed dumplings

This location is awful. The men that are cooking keep looking at the slips as if they dont t understand. This is the 1st time Ive ever waiting so long. Watching them work was painful. Paper slips on peoples food. Hands in food. Will never go back to this location again. Cashier was taking orders and assisting with food without gloves.

I have been consistently going to this specific spot at least once a month for over 2 years because its the closest to my home. Compared to other Thai Express location in HRM this is hands down the worst one. Not so bad that you cant visit, but this location is at a firm steady downhill pace. Heres why : 1. Staffs doesnt want to interact and seem annoyed most of the time, aka rude to customers. 2. The cook doesnt follow orders made 1m from them very precisely. Either the cashiers and cooks have zero communication or the cooks straight up just dont care. More than twice my food wasnt cooked completely, luckily the protein (meat) are pre-cooked otherwise who knows if there will be a more serious food poisoning. Was asked about the spiciness of my food but came out completely wrong so why bother asking in the first place. Issues like these etc... 3. Most days when stuff at the condiments bar runs low or out they dont get replenishes or refilled at all. The only good thing I have to say is the location seems clean and enjoyable to be in. If these problems persist Id rather pay $2.50 and gas to cross the bridge back and forth to Halifax side instead, no hesitation. Am currently only staying for the occasional good.

Loved Thai Express in Halifax. Here I order a tom yum soup and order the option of spiciness hot. It wasnt even mild. And the rest of the flavor did not taste like tom yum. My friend order a ramen soup dish and found 2 different hairs in it. A black one and a light one. ???? We order this to go. If had of stayed to eat it there I would have tried to return and get my money back and Im sure she would have too. Anyways ate about half of mine and couldnt finish it.

Ordered through Doordash, waited way too long for our meal to be ready (door dash called to say they were taking longer than expected) and upon delivery found a note in the bag saying they couldnt accommodate my allergy, thats never been an issue before. Poor communication has me starving and the rest of my family eating pad Thai (my choice) in front of me.

Got the green curry and pineapple cake from this place tonight. Curry was the saddest thing Ive ever seen. Mostly rice, hardly any chicken or vegetables and the creamy sauce was dribbled on. Basically sold me plain rice and a small side of stir fried chicken and vegetables for 12$. Never again. Oh, and the $6 cake is a cupcake. Picture for reference. What a waste of mine.

Always good food, but every time I have to scream in order for the one taking orders to hear me. It s so loud being right next to the huge fan. Ordering is always a stressful process between the loud environment and worker who does not have good listening skills. I ordered a chicken pad Thai today, and was given a general Thai chicken because she did not hear me correctly and didn t bother to make sure she did.

Placed an order and I can say my beef pad thai is spicy and quite good...was looking forward to my appetizer (fried dumplings)and drink but no that wasnt part of the order I received...and called the restaurant twice and no answer - you only get one shot...too bad

Just had lunch at Thai Express. My husband had the mango chicken bowl which was very good. I had the boc boc box which is smaller bite sized pieces of coated chicken. They were barely warm. I went back to the till after tasting one and the response was a shrug then he said well it will take more than 10 minutes to get more. They were edible but not enjoyable. Very disappointing as we have been here many times.

Food was very bland, not a hint of curry or lemongrass in the bowls we ordered, rice was mushy and noodle were watery. The imperial rolls were dripping in oil, and severely undercooked. Fresh rolls had wilted brown vegetables that tasted like plastic. Colossal waste of money.

If they arent getting the food order incorrect (skip the dish) they leave hair in their food. It tastes good, when you get the right item but Im done with their incompetence. Hair was the last straw, tofu thai when I ordered beef is just not paying attention. I wouldnt recommend eating here.

Today s lunch I got Pad Thai from Thai Express. I was so disappointed that when I was about to finish the whole thing, I could taste some dirt. Having doubts that it might be just seasoning, I saw one piece of carrot. It s not uncommon to see some little pieces of vegetables that don t belong to a specific dish so I ate it without thinking too much. But that piece of carrot was spoiled!!! It s unbelievable how that could happen and it made feel sick. Plus, the reason I wrote this comment is because it was not my first time to experience spoiled ingredients from this Dartmouth Crossing store. The first time was quite long ago when this location was first opened. If it were only a one time thing, it s acceptable because anyone makes mistakes. But the same situation happening twice is no excuse!

Dont get the shrimp spring rolls. They were minty and tasted like a spruce tree.

This chain isn t abiding by the mask regulations. Masks are worn partially over their face. I tried eating here with friends and family, but they understandably wouldn t eat at a place that wasn t following basic rules during a pandemic. What a drag.

Came here 20 minutes ago, paid for my order. Told the lady working the cash I would be back in 20 to pick up my order. Came back to nothing and they are just starting to cook it now. This was supposed to be to save time.

Ive always enjoyed Thai Express at either MMM or HSC. I found the DC location by accident while stopping over at Costco yesterday. I could not not believe my eyes when I walked in. It is absolutely gorgeous inside; its hard to wrap my head around that it is a fast food establishment. The decor is modern and light, the food is still delicious as ever. My advice would be to skip the crowded mall food courts and head down here - so so good on so many levels. They have real bowls, plates, and cutlery here, and dimmed lighting with soft music.

A lady who appeared to be an owner gave out discount cards a week ago and remembered me a week later. Her and all the staff thus far have been very pleasent which is appreciated. Food is cheaper than Wok Box and seems to taste better in my opinion. If you use your SPC or Goodlife card you get a discount, I think 10% off. Happy to see another healthy option at a decent price with good service. Dont leave many reviews but Id like to encourage this business to continue with consistency.

Very good, tasty, healthy food. Very friendly staff. You can pick how spicy you want your food, which is a huge plus.

The food here is great and the set-up is so user friendly. Pick your protein, then your dish and your spice level. Fill your own pop and add flavours, and dont forget to sprinkle your meal with peanuts! Also, go check out the faucet it the bathroom, with a built-in hand dryer. So cool!

This restaurant is well-known and quit popular in halifax. They have both vegan and regular version for every dish in fact you can choose the main protein of your dish

I just recently tried this place with my husband and we were pleasantly suprised. They offer a small variety of Thai foods served fast and fresh! The only problem we had with it is the portion size is a bit small and the price a little over what we would spend. Surprisingly enough the portion of meat they give is a lot for the portion size and it is very filling. I would recommend for anyone wanting to eat healthy but on a time constraint!

I would have given 5 stars because the food is excellent but a couple of weeks ago I dropped in one night to order my fav. Tom yum soup. I asked to make it a combo which she did and when the gentleman gave me my order he passed me two bowls of soup. I explained that I only ordered one. He told me to speak with the lady who took the order. So I did she immediately got very defensive and stated that is what I order, and rolled her eyes and said something in another language under her breath. So I left it alone. And today I went back and order the exact same thing, low and behold my order was 4$ cheaper than the last time. She had charged me extra. The only way I will eat there again is if that counter person is not working. I dont know if it was a mistake or deliberate but I hate people messing with my money.

5 baby corn, 12 slices of carrots, 3 slivers of green pepper and 3 small pieces of broccoli on lettuce for 12$...dont waste your time or money here on a salad...ill need to get another meal elsewhere also not even a cup full!! And Topping it off, i bit into what little i had... Fish sause in a veggie salad....garbage!!!

Either this store looks too nice where people think its an actual fancy restaurant, or people just have no manners, leaving their food on the tables when there is a garbage bin. Food is great. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Always smiling and are very happy to help when you have no idea what to get. Highly recommend their Thai Soup and Imperial Roll!
