Alfa Greco Roman Cuisine in Delta

I had a great birthday meal here with my family. The server was great, the atmosphere was great considering the location, parking was easy. My daughter and I had drinks and chicken souvlaki - both were really good (it s our greek go-to, so we know what we re talking about). Portions were good, drinks were yummy. My wife had the 1/2 bbq chicken and spaghetti - she enjoyed it, but had to take half the chicken home (big portion). My daughter and I had the Chocolate Truffle Mousse for dessert - a chocolate lover s delight! My only criticism would be to remember you re on Greek Time - don t be in a hurry, or get take out. We ll be back. Parking: There are a number of spots right out front

Food may be ok but my experience was not a pleasurable one sorry to say. Updated from my review last year this is why. No lies here from me!

Pretty good place for roast lamb and authentic Greek dishes. Went a few times now and its been a good meal. Definitely a good place to grab a munch on this side of the city

Went with my party of 12. The foods and drinks were absolutely great. We orders 8 types of drinks including martinis and as usual was not disappointed. We also ordered appetizers like kalamari and spanakopita. For food we also had pizza, pastas, and greek entrees. Overall experience was great HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Worst restaurant experience weve ever had. Owner is disrespectful, and should not be an owner of a restaurant. We had gone there for a retirement celebration and got reservations in advance and requested a piece of for dessert for the retiree in advance. Service was very subpar, food was in my opinion not Greek food, and when we asked about the piece of cake that we would have gladly paid for, the owner snapped at us and said that we were just trying to get free cake from them and made the whole experience awful. Will never go near the restaurant again ever. He was rude to everyone. The restaurant was empty for a reason, all the other restaurants were full. Not happy.

We have been to this restaurant a few times and they never disappoint us. The food is amazing (just like the ones from Greece). The service was also nice and friendly which is also one of the reasons that feels good while dining. I highly recommend the mousakas and roast lamb which are my 2 favourites.

We ordered from their menus Favorites & Souvlaki sections, after having read online reviews about avoiding their pastas, its all good. Big portions. Reasonably tasty. Our kids especially loved their breads. Good services from the waitresses. Well return.

Delicious Pizza and Tasty Kalamari I recently visited Alfa Pizza in Tsawwassen, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Alfa Special pizza and the Kalamari, and both were incredible. The Alfa Special was loaded with fresh, high-quality toppings, and the crust was just the right balance of crispy and chewy. The Kalamari was perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned to perfection definitely some of the best I ve had in the area! The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Whether youre stopping in for a casual meal or grabbing takeout, the quality of the food and the service make Alfa Pizza a standout choice in Delta. Highly recommend for anyone in the area looking for great pizza and Mediterranean dishes!

Usually a go to, but their recent change in pizza chef gives this a 0/10. Undercooked, terrible flavors, tossed it on the garbage after 1 bite. Zero offer to correct the situation which is why im leaving this honest review. See photos for what they offer for 30 dollars. Will not be returning.

Came for my birthday dinner on sunday. Food was pretty terrible, my lasagna was flavorless and full of water, my boyfriends pasta was flavorless and missing the chicken he asked for. The server did not check on us once to see how the food tasted. My main displeasure was the fact that the table across from us had a dog and they were feeding it on the table, and the server was aware. This is a health issue.

I don t normally post bad reviews. But the mismanagement of this place has gone from bad to most likely willfully ripping people off by false pricing and then badgering the guests when it is brought up. Check your bill when it arrives. The price on the menu is often not the price that you will be charged. Restaurants like this should not be in business.

The food here is exceptional. I ve ordered twice now. Delivery has been on time and delivery person has been very polite. The food is exceptional. Very good. I recommend this place to anybody. Authentic Greek food made the way it would be made at home, using fresh ingredients. Generous helpings without all the fancy decorations on your plate. If you want to enjoy eating your food rather than just looking at it, this place is for you. Update, May, 2024: New owners, menu items are not prepared the same as before, limited parking due to the addition of outside seating in a tent covering the parking spaces in front of the building (added during Covid restrictions and never removed).

Hubby and I decided to pop in for a bite to eat. Instantly we were made to feel as though we were lucky to have made it through the doors - even though the entire restaurant was empty. The waitress offered us nothing from the bar, insistent that we order right away. My family is 100% Greek so my expectations were high. When I sent the soup back (not sure what exactly that was by the way) she questioned us, stomped off as she apologized loudly as though I was awful for not eating it. The rest of the meal was mediocre but the service would ensure we never return. Especially with the soup still on the bill. I would urge the owners to watch over their menu and hire some warmer servers. Going out to eat is expensive and a treat, this was just expensive.

We had an excellent experience at alfa!. It s a very cozy place to grab dinner. We started with saganki and both had souvlakis that were absolutely delicious! Our waitress made the dinner even better with her warm energy. We will be back again for the food and the friendly, funny waitress Thanks again! Food : 5/5

When we first walked in yesterday for lunch, the place was dead. The hostess did not have a smile on her face, like she didnt want to be there. She sat us down and the waiter came quickly. He was ok, asked if we wanted anything else other than water to drink and we said water was good. After a few minutes, he came back to take our order. I ordered the moussaka, didnt know that pita bread and tzatziki was not included, but a piece of buttered toast was. I have never had a toast in a Greek restaurant, so that was different. So not knowing that the pita bread was not included in my plate, I thought to ask for some tzatziki sauce for my friends pita bread. When my bill came, they charged me almost $3.00 for a little container of tzatziki, which I didnt expect. And on top of that kind of service, 18% was their min. tip option. On the way out, the hostess was there at the door, no smile again whatsoever. Needless to say, not coming back anytime soon.

Food came cold after waiting 40 minutes for 1 chicken souvlaki dinner. Restaurant only had 2 tables filled . Waitress slow moody and looked tired . Then they think microwaving the food I was to be happy? Absolutely not . Sent it back and will never be back to this restaurant . This place has gone down hill . Definitely not Greek . Why do I have aphid eaten Rhododendron leaves in my green salad. Looks like they chopped up the plants from out front of their restaurant that are in the garden. Cheaper than paying for landscaping I guess.

We enjoyed our meals of Moussaka and Greek meatballs. They adjusted the Greek salad to my taste. Service was friendly, nice atmosphere. Nice desert menu with lots of choices.

Great food, fantastic services and reminiscence of cozy family restaurants @ Alfa. My husband and I were there twice this week. Well definitely be back next time were out to Tsawwassen.

Nice restaurant with good Greek style food with an American/Canadian slant. Entree meals are huge - most seem to come with a mound of rice, plus a potato, tzatziki, bread and a huge Greek salad. Lamb was cooked really well though plain. Cheese that was used for the Greek salad was quite strong, seemed to be something other than feta. Can also order pizzas which are also huge. Definitely recommend sharing a single dish given the size!

Me and my family loved this resturant. The pizza was delicous, and my daughter really enjoyed the lasagna. There was a lot of variety on the menu therefore you will find something enjoyable for every memeber of your group. My boyfriend and I use to order takeout here quite often. We ordered dinner once again and I was so excited for my taramasalata dip but it was completely moldy. When my boyfriend called, the manager said he ll give us a credit for the next time and there s a note left on our file/account . I even texted him the photo, per his request. About a week or so later we ordered take out again and the guy at the front helping denied this to us and said maybe next time. Are you serious? There will definitely NOT be a next time. Do not visit. The quality of food has been in a continuous decline the past year or so.

Generally good but the plates are too small for the portions. My lamb was a bit tough but my fault for thinking it might be Vancouver Island lamb. Chicken souvlaki would have been a better choice. Good service without being overbearing.

This has been my families go to Pizza place for my whole life. I love everything, the crust, the sauce, the cheese and the toppings. Every time the food has been hot and fresh! I ordered a large Pizza to have some lunch tomorrow, and now I need to figure out what Im going to have for lunch tomorrow lol

I used to come to this restaurant in my early 20s and now has a chance to come again. Food still amazing. calamari and Baked Lasagna is a treat! Little understaffed, but food still amazing

so here i was looking for a nice place for a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs when this cozy place shows up. they were closing at 10 but they were kind enough to take my order. wasnt supposed to be baked with cheese, so kind of a bonus for me. great prices and nice portions as well! highly reccomend!

Good food and worth trying

Everything was good until the bill came. My cousin was paying and didnt leave a tip to the server (owner i was told) and was a big deal to him. Saying so no tip-now I need to pay the kitchen from my pocket Hmmm ... dont you have to pay them anyway as they are working for you!

We were visiting in town and didnt know where to eat. We spotted Alfa from the road and decided to give it a try. We explained my allergies and they easily accommodated us. The food was so good, it was a much needed therapy after a busy weekend. Well be back for sure. Dietary restrictions: Im allergic to dairy, soy and wheat.

We loved it! it was our first experience in a Greek restaurant and we loved it! We were very well attended, nice atmosphere and delicious food! I m surprised this place has such a high rating. As soon as we walked in the hostess s first remark was can I help you?? As if I m lost. Of course we re here to eat. Anywase that s not why it was a 1 star experience. I ordered the garlic shrimp platter. I nearly vommitted after taking the first bite of the prawns. It was cold. No garlic. No flavour. The most blandest nastiest prawns I ve ever had. They legit tasted like they were pulled off those cocktail platters from the grocery store and thrown on my plate. Cold. Bland. Disgusting. Unforgettably disgusting. Thank you.

The owner should be ashamed that they are keeping tips, which is illegal since managers and higher are not supposed to keep any form of tips. They are meant for the staff that serve customers, plus when new people are being trained they legally have to be paid, but the owner is not doing that.

Its unfortunate cause I just tried to order food to give them another try people have bad days and I really hate being negative so I dont understand what the issue is but like I said this was my second attempt so I dont understand why now theres an issue with address as it was same one I used last time?? Phenomenal food cooked perfectly and was really flavorful. Amazing lemon potato and the rice is a kind I haven t seen which I wish I could make myself! Very busy so make sure you have time but worth the wait. Amazing amounts of food and more than fair cost. Best pita/bread I ve ever had

Delicious Greek food in an attractive room. My wife and I shared tzanziki and pita. Both were excellent, a sign the rest of the meal is likely to be good as well. And it was; my Athenian ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and my wifes prawn souvlaki was excellent. As is the way with most Greek restaurants, the portions were very generous. Service was great, prompt and friendly. Nice room, very comfortable. The massive tent outside must be great in warmer weather. We will definitely be back.

Dreadful service and I use that term loosely...called in to place an order to be delivered...conversation should ve warned....dreadful..is about all I could say...waited forever driver called said he was lost food cold...sdvised him I don t want cold food....still no delivery finally one arrived said he wasn t original driver ..order was screwed up and not very delectable for $27 pus $...would never recommend it. If there was a minus star I d choose that ......so disappointing... tried calling back to mgr to explain prior to posting review in all fairness however that s another story...UNBELIEVABLE....sad actually....my apologies having a bad day TBH they ve always been awesome and in all fairness we all have bad days occasionally, kudos to hojatt for bringing it to my attention....Patti

I order food 3 times but every time their was a problem with my order. First time their was no feta cheese in my greek salad. Second time I order 4 chicken souvlaki and I didn t get the potato in my order. Third time i ordered 3 chicken souvlaki and 1 lamb souvlaki again I didn t get my potato in 2 of chicken souvlaki. I phoned to let them know they were rude on the phone and i had to go to pick up the potatoes. Customer service was not good and ever since their has been new owners this restaurant has gone down the drain.

Would recommend, My family and I stopped in delta while waiting for the ferry. The food was incredible we had the hot platter baclava and souvlaki. Everything was great the calamari is amazing it was lightly breaded and not rubbery or chewy it was perfectly cooked, overall would recommend and service was very good.

The lamb chops are some of the best I have had in a very long time. The portions are large, you will not leave hungry! The service was great, everyone had a very enjoyable evening with great food. Since COVID they now have a large covered outdoor seating area which is nice.

Alfa is a Tsawwassen tradition. I had the roast lamb and it was fall-off-the-bone delicious. Baclava with coffee for dessert was a fine end to my meal. I wouldnt visit the area without having a meal at Alfa.

One word... Remarkable!! We were having a party for 17 people. The put the order together buffett style, delivered on time, fresh and generous portions. The food was delicious. Our guests were amazed. Well done Alfa! Well done and thank you!

One of the best Greek restaurants in the area. The best roast lamb Ive had!! The staff is very friendly. If you are around Tsawwassen this is a must visit!

We had a reservation for 530pm on a Friday night. We got there in time for our reservation and were seated almost immediately. I had seen all the wonderful and not so good reviews. I should point out that it looked like the servers and the busser were scrambling to get all the reserved tables ready for 6pm. All good. Ill add that the place had a nice chill vibe and it was cool as in chilly inside with the overhead fans running which my wife loved. We ordered the hummus to start which was quite good. My wife ordered the Kalamari dinner and I ordered, you guessed it, the roast lamb shoulder dinner. All the great reviews were on point. Both meals were delicious, well seasoned and so full of flavor. The Kalamari was light, crunchy, tender and so good. My roast lamb was fall of the bone tender and delicious. The rice pilaf and potato was so rich in flavor. I opted for a Caesar salad instead of the Greek salad. The portions were very generous and I had to take home the balance of my meal. We of course had to try the key lime cheesecake, which was quite tasty as well with the abundant whip cream and chocolate sauce on the plate. Our server was visibly very busy so I cant fault her for the long waits for her attention. But when she did attend to us, she was very good. Id love to come back and try the Kalamari next time. We went for dinner last night and the food was fantastic. Ordered calamari to start, chicken and lamb souvlaki. All the food was fresh and customer service was even better (thank you Ron!) Would come again!

Brought my mom for a nice night out, but unfortunately the food that i ordered came out luke warm if that and my mothers came out cold. If it was busy i could totally understand since i have worked in the industry for many years. But for the fact of the matter that it was a dead Thursday night. There should have been no exceptions of the quality of the food should of at least been hot. The waitress was great offered us another meal, i was turnd off but my mom got hers to go. When she got home and ate it, she told me although its warm this time it still tastes weird? Dont now what happened there, but thats probably the last time i ever go there

My wife order the lamb souvlaki and I order the lamp chops. We thought with the portions we might have leftovers. Nope! Finished everything off the plate. Just came here for dinner with my mom and girlfriend. Roast lamb, calamari and the creamy fettuccine were all amazing. Very generous portions and very reasonable prices. Server was very friendly as well. Definitely worth the drive out to Tsawwassen.

Ordered takeout for NYE. They were slammed with orders. The steaks and other food didnt reflect the busy atmosphere. They were great! They actually forgot one item and delivered it within a short time to our home. Very satisfied with the food and service.

I heard there were new owners so I started ordering again. A few hiccups at first but they got those figured out and now its 100% not only the best pizza in town but also the best Greek food in general I have had in many years. I called my order after 9pm, as it was appie hour, when I got there at 9:20 they said the order wasnt in, she didnt take my name or number and they hadnt even started it yet. To make it worse they wouldnt honor the appie price because they said you had to dine in, NO WHERE on there website does it say that, I went next door to MARIOS snd my order was ready in 7 minutes. NEVER AGAIN will I go to Alfa

A family favourite, and the best Greek food we have has in the lower mainland. We usually get the greek platter, so that we get a bit of everything. Generous portions, filling, rich, tasty food. My favourite pizza place...LOTS of toppings and cheese, thicker crust. More Chicago deep-dish gooey-cheese style vs. traditional Italian Margherita. The place is nice & clean. Service is great but the food served is not very good. The prices are fairly high & do not correspond to the the quality of the food served.

Delicious lamb dinner, so much food I couldnt even finish! Was able to get only potatoes and salad. Hommous was homemade with lots of garlic.

Had a great first experience at this restaurant with a coworker and decided to take my wife for a celebration dinner. I dont know what happened that night, but we had so many misses with the dishes we ordered. The ribs appetizer with BBQ sauce tasted like pure vinegar and ketchup, not enjoyable. We ordered a steak which we ordered medium, but got well done and it was very salty. We thought wed finish dinner off with a good dessert and ordered the cookies and creme cheesecake. The cake was still half frozen at the top and warm on the bottom, which we found out was because they microwave the cheesecakes that they take out of the freezer. Im not a restauranteur, but selling frozen cheesecakes for almost $8 seems a little overpriced to me.. They did have very good calamari though! The most disappointing thing about this entire meal was that when we sent our dessert back, the management told us that if we ordered it we had to pay for it. Not saying that the restaurant was obligated to take the dessert off our check, but seems like a pretty poor way to deal with a complaint.

Three of my family went for an early supper. We were seated right away and our order was taken quickly. The waiter was very courteous, the food was delicious.

Their food is really good again. For a few years the food quality really dropped, the beef in the beef souvlaki had become tough and the Greek salad became mushy. But our last few orders have been really good again.

Excellent food always! We recently moved to the Okanagan and were back for a short visit. Ordered Alfa Greco for delivery to our hotel. Reg arrived a short time later and was super friendly, professional, informative and knowledgeable. Thank you Alfa and Reg!!

Great food, friendly staff. Has been in Tsawwassen for over 40 years for good reason.

I had a reservation for 5pm but, didn t really need it as there weren t many people there. It did pick up later on during the evening. Just wanted to be safe for a party of 5. I started with saganaki and a 9oz glass of their Australian Shiraz. The cheese was really good and the wine was great. Next came our Greek salad that came with all entrees. It was quite big for a starter, I throughly enjoyed it though. I had their roast lamb for my main and it was good; decently sized and tasted okay. The thing I enjoyed the most was our server. She was on top of everything, fun to talk to, and had an awesome sense of humour as well. I ll definitely come back and try some other things from their menu.

So disappointed. Went for dinner tonight, all I heard the waitress say at every table was I m sorry, but I m the only one here tonight . The service suffered and the food was tasteless. Things haven t been the same with the new ownership. When we complained, our waitress said I keep telling the owner not to fill the tables because we can t service them he doesn t care wow.. that s terrible.. in addition she told us there was a new cook and the food wasn t as good anymore. Way too much info from a waitress.. will not be going back.

its rare when I give 5 stars and its always for something beyond expectation. Today I stopped in with a friend for a beer on their nice patio. Due to the divisive new covid bylaw, one of us couldnt show a passport. The owner himself came over to Apologize, not to enforce. he explained his concern of lost business and extra cost to admin and such. He offered us takeout beers for sale but also said we could save money if we bought at the cold beer store down the road, Wow, who does that!?! We said no, we want to support you, sell us beers to go. He gave the bill and sain again are you sure, its $31.00? We said Yes. He felt bad we couldnt be seated and then tells the kitchen to bake us fresh pita and an order of tsatsiki on the house(freshly baked and so soft with a perfect crisp shell and creamy tsatsiki) !! WHAT?!! Then he recommended where we could find a local park!! This is a definite Go There rating and to know so many kind and considerate people live within our community. I wanted to hug him and his server for being so warm and caring in a cold shoulder, wicked media infected world. .

The recent ownership change has literally destroyed the quality of the service and the food. We used to love going here and did so for years as did many of my friends and family. We are all in agreement that supporting these people is definitely not happening anymore. We wont be back. Its too bad for what used to be such a great place. The new owners are extremely aggressive, belligerent, one-sided, completely rude, and unable to accept responsibility as you can definitely see by their response.

Ive been coming to Alfa pizza since I was in grade 8 , I was 12 ...now Im 59 and they are still the best pizza in Tsawwassen. Back then they were open till 4:00 a:m . Tsawwassen used to be a real nite spot for young adults. Beach parties, big house parties and afterwards a pizza from Alfa .

Obviously the kitchen enjoys what they do and the owner knows what he s doing. Both lamb dishes were succulent, the amount of food is worthy of your wallet. Everything was tasty, could not finish everything (hello tomorrow s lunch). Top it off with a great key lime cheesecake. Yummy. We re full. Thank you. See you soon.

Quality has definately deteriorated lately. Ordered 2 lamb dinners that were really fatty and small portioned. Rice and potato were at least a couple days old. Dissatisfying and disappointing after years of consistent good food. Dont waste your money on reheated greek food.

As usual their Lamb was delicious! I just love Lamb prepared their way because it tastes just like my mom used to make years ago. also the tarama is my favorite favorite appetizer. Keep the good work Alpha. I will keep visiting for another 24 years!

Great food

Have dined in, ordered in and picked up food curbside. Delicious Greek food. Staff are exceptional if you decide to dined in. Awesome outdoor patio. Very pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Alfa Greco Roman to everyone.
