The work is an interpretation of Roy and Lopa towards traditional Indian cuisine .
Great food, tasty and consistent. Portions, including the Samosas, are smaller than I'd like. a bit overpriced considering the small portion sizes. 2 people can easily spend $80 with no leftovers. bill didn't reflect the 'buy one get one free' promo on my last visit. should probably be listed as a $$$ not a $$
TLDR; average food, got food poisoning after. We came in with high expectations because of the rating, but were quite disappointed with the food - flavors et al. Between the two of us we ordered the Manchurian cauliflower, the paneer peas and a naan. The Manchurian was ok. The paneer was entirely flavorless - the gravy tasted like dal, which was so weird. After all this, I chalked it up to just picking bad options on the menu. But 30 minutes after, I had an upset stomach and my partner had full blown food poisoning - that has definitely tipped my experience to a negative one. Service is very nice though. The servers are super attentive and good come about super quickly.
When a local business not only makes the most amazing food but also goes above and beyond in customer service, you know you’ve hit the jackpot! We stopped at Roy’s on our way from Victoria to Vancouver after a long day of sightseeing. We reached 10 minutes before closing time, they had already closed the kitchen and were winding up for the day. When I told them I had specially come to sample their Bengali cuisine with my family, all the way from the east coast, they opened their kitchen and hearts for us. The food was cooked to perfection. We celebrated my husband’s 50th with his favourite; kosha mangsho ( slow cooked goat curry) which reminded me of home. The flaky laccha parantha was perfect with it. 10/10 We had the prawn curry with lime leaves and it was spicy and so so delicious. We washed it down with gur-er rosogolla (cottage cheese balls soaked in a sweet jaggery syrup)and my only regret was that I didn’t pack more to takeaway. It was an outstanding meal, cooked to perfection, authentic Bengali food in every sense. The staff was extremely helpful and made our dining experience at Roy’s one that was really special. Thank you Roy’s for bringing the Indian hospitality and food to Canada. You made a lasting impression on us and we can’t wait to come back when we are back on the West Coast.
Above average food quality and taste, decent service, but the portion is on the short side for each single dish. Nevertheless counting the buy one get one free (dine-in 2-5pm) deal it's really worth it and I recommend a try if you're an Indian cuisine lover.
After a really long trip of BC, I was really craving some good Bengali food. My oh my, did I hit the jackpot. Found Roy’s on Google and jumped at the opportunity. The mochar bora is what I started my Roy’s culinary experience with and it packed a punch right away. Then had the echor chingri which was delicious and finished the main course with some good old kosha mangsho which transported me back to my home in Kolkata. Now comes the best part, they had gur er Roshogolla 😍 I was in food heaven! Thank you so much folks for making my day! Will definitely come back the next time I’m in Vancouver.
Dhokar dalna and Prawn Malaikari made our weekend lunch special. Food was less oily, that's why we loved it more. Cherry on top was the happy hour deal. Surely coming back again to check on the rest items on the menu. FYI, From meat side, only lamb is served halal.
One of the best places to have authentic Indian cuisine in Tsawwassen. We were greeted & attended by Ms.Ujala. As her name suggests, Ujala’s enlightening hospitality was really worth mentioning along with the delicious food and quick service. Truly a very good place to spend an evening with good food and good people. Certainly recommend 👍🏽
Simply fantastic food, menu options and service. So glad this is not just another Indian restaurant. Loved their menu, it's very well thought, curated and executed. Food was excellent, portions sumptuous and taste bang on! Their naans are a must try, different and best recipe so far. Loved the potato pesto naan, different yet traditional!! Lamb was 👌 👏, lentil cake curry delicious, lemon rice excellent , cauliflower Manchurian, a hit . Glad we stopped by tonight as we will be back for more moving forward. What a wonderful team you all have, they were happy and working as a team, both front and back of the house . Keep up the good work guys. You are amazing!!! Thank you for great experience:)
Really good 2 for 1 meal dine in special from 2-5pm. Paneer and Chicken Xacuti was very flavourful
Roy s is usually excellent but the last order of butter chicken had watered down sauce and the aloo gobi was 98% cauliflower. I would rather have emailed you privately rather than post here but could not find email.
This is our go-to curry takeaway and it s as good as any Indian I ve had home or abroad. The family is lovely, the food is consistently fantastic, they dial back the heat on request, and we always get two days worth with leftovers. Our menu staples include fish pakora, malai curry prawns, chicken biryani and chilli gobi.
Best restaurant ever. Food and service are top tier. All the employees were kind and provided Wonderful service. The entire restaurant is clean and smells AMAZING. The atmosphere with the music and decor makes the dining experience all the more authentic. Surely the best Indian restaurant in the area.
The foods taste was amazing
Wonderful home style food. If you are looking for some really cozy place and real Indian food this is the only place you need to visit. Literally the best food in BC. Me and wife had lunch here and it was amazing. Ms. Lopa is extremely professional and hosted us with warm hospitality. Will definitely visit again. Kudos to the Chef as well.
I loved this place its amazing try it out u will be amazined
Amazing! Highly recommended!
Food is excellent. Owners are very friendly. A++
Yummy bangali food and drinks Highly recommend Food
Awesome foods and services.
Eaten here and had take out many times. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants. Food is excellent, the owners and staff are wonderful. The menu is quite limited but there s something for everyone (our granddaughter loved the dumplings in butter sauce.). Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: I m not vegetarian but I know they have vegetarian options. Parking: It s in an outside mall, plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: We used to take our granddaughter all the time. She was spoiled and loved the pakoras, among other things. Wheelchair accessibility: It s in an outside mall so access is good for wheelchairs
Great service. The food was pretty blah and overly sweetened. Atmosphere was ok but more of a quick serve vibe.
Good food and service!
Patio dining here is wonderful. The food is amazing and the service is lovely. Highly recommended!!! Vegetarian options: Lots of and vegan, too!!!!
I love coming here especially for their Spinach pakora! It is crispy and delicious. I ve ordered other vegetarian options and there is always enough to take home for lunch the next day. They are very accommodating of spice preference and went out of their way to provide a non spicy Butter Chicken option for my dining partner. Staff is always very courteous and welcoming. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine!
Lucky to get excellent authentic bengali food right here.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options Recommended dishes
Food is too good and fresh, reminds us full india taste. Would love to visit again....
One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in the lower mainland. The food is delicious, fresh and the portions are generous. The service is friendly. Definitely a must try!
Small unassuming place. Great service, food was delicious!
The food and service were both sooo good
Delicious
The food is super delicious and very authentic. It is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. The service is great, so welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend anything in their menu.
May 10, 2024 6-8:30pm( approx.) I ordered shahi paneer and naans for take out. No Napkins and spoons. The staff exhibited a lack of professionalism and were unresponsive to my inquiries and concerns. Their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this place due to its subpar customer service experience.
One of my school friends (Abran) who works there recommended me their food, and my overall experience was really good. The staff were nice and the food tasted great. Loved it!
Tastes was good Service excellent.. Side salad was little bite less.. Food : 4/5
The experience at this restaurant today was excellent. Their customer service was top-notch, and they were very efficient.I tried smosa chaat, and it tasted delicious.
Roys go figure, its an Indian Eatery! Realy!! My wife and I and another couple are regulars at Roys! We first met Roy at his little eatery on Burrard at Broadway beside the Banana Leaf. When they moved we were heart brken but then we discovered they relocated in Tsawwassen and weve been going since their opening. What is special about Roys is the Curry - its not just Curry, he actually makes sever (7) different Curry sauces and matches them perfectly with the offerings. The sauces are delicate and do not cover the taste of the featured ingredient! The garlic naan is the best, their rice is delicate, servings are great. Its a small place and can be full so, make a reservation and enjoy your dinner.
Great food and wonderful staff
Great staff and great food
Tasty Bengali food for a decent price. Both the Echor Chingri and Mochar Ghonto were flavorful and interesting.
We stopped for Samosa on our way to Bellingham!! Was delicious! Ok
Tried many items from the Bengali menu and everything was 10/10. The chef and staff are very polite. Highly recommend this place. Dishes tried: mochar chop, fish fry, kosha mangsho, macher jhal (pomfret in mustard gravy), mochar ghonto.
Excellent food and great service
Highly recommend for a tasty meal on the go!
Meh
Very Good Food and Service.....loved the Cauliflower dish and the Curried Lamb!!! It is our second time this week as the food is Amazing!!! HOWEVER.......the second time we came I paid by credit card and the server gave me the machine and there were 3 suggested tip percentages...18%, 20% and 22%... I said the service was very good but I felt the percentages were too high. She told me that I could enter my own %...I entered 15%.......tipping has gotten way out of hand to the point were a 20% tip is expected. Where will it end? Is 30 % just around the corner? Probably wont return.
Usually I really like Roys. Tonight we ordered some take-out and I was really disappointed. The vegetarian samosas were good. The Butter chicken was ok, but the lamb dish was super fatty. The Naan was probably the worst I have ever had, doughy and not fully cooked. Not up to Roys usual standard. Too bad. I will try something different next time.
Roys Indian Food offers a pleasant dining experience for a hearty lunch with tasty options. We tried the Bengali menu and found it good, but suggests that it could benefit from a more authentic touch, especially we are Bengali and miss food from back home.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Tsawwassen! We stopped in on Christmas Day & I was more than pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, every dish put a smile on my face and I can t wait to go back. Didn t get any pictures of the food, but our wine and beer while we waited were great!
Went there for the dinner tonight and the best part was our company. The food was bland. I think this was the first Indian restaurant that didn t ask how spicy we wanted our dish. The service was the worse. They never asked how our food was or even offered us another drink. Would not go back.
Custom Bengali menu was worth its weight in gold. Authentic, nostalgic and excellent.
Yeah I dunno, I have eaten a lot of really authentic Indian food, and this is pretty authentic, but the flavor is to put it nicely, very mild. They have watered down Indian food by adding fewer spices and heat than regular Indian food. If you want Indian Food Lite this is it. Its honestly perfect for the area. But I was looking for that Thick Curry Heat and this wasnt it.
the food was very tasty and there were good vegetarian options. the place was cozy and the plating was nice
Good portion sizes, refillable rice. Attentive servers.
Always good! We get takeout frequently. Decided to eat in last night and had the best experience with the 4 Course Tasting Menu. Delightful and tasty dishes. Great flavours and great service. Love this restaurant!
Been there with my friend for dinner. We ordered 2 dishes and taste was nothing special which make it restaurant like dish. They asked if we need medium hot or hot , i ordered medium hot and food was super hot. Disappointed by the taste and presentation. Will not visit again.
This place is delish and when I have to wait for a ferry I will be enjoying this food. Spectacular taste.
Just read your reviews and coming from Lloydminster Alberta, and we were about to write a Review when we read the comment from the bright red headed table. Coming from a oil agriculture community we always choose small owner operator businesses because the food will not have a generic box chain flavor, it s dish will be unique even from day to day like we have at our homes and family restaurants. Thank you for the beautiful meal you cooked and prepared for us. It is so heartwarming to see other cultures coming to our multicultural country and feeling so welcomed and comfortable that would invest a business and share their traditional home engineered recipes. You have a beautiful family that made us feel at ease the moment we walked into your private restaurant greeted by a warm heartfelt smile from your family members. As each dish was presented to us in a timely manner, we had to dish with caution because it was so hot. The suggestions by your staff was insightfully perfect. You now have a customer for life and this place is well worth the drive from Lloydminster Alberta to enjoy you friendly hospitality and exquisite gourmet food. .
This is an excellent authentic Indian restaurant and highly recommend it. We ordered take out Lamb Palak, Lamb Roganjosh, spinach pakora and samosa for dinner. It was some of the best Indian food weve had. Plenty of food for leftovers too.
REALLY FABULOUS FOOD. Food is VERY FRESH. Spices are mild and should suit everyone. If you want spicy, just ask. They have all the right equipment, really great cooks and front of house staff, lovely patio, great takeout containers, and REALLY FABULOUS FOOD. Tsawwassen doesnt get restaurants this good very often. This is a lucky day for South Delta. Dietary restrictions: Accomodated ingredient allergies.
We had Bengali style fish curry and samosa chaat. Absolutely delicious! Not too spicy, greasy or creamy - just the way you make at home. Fish curry was cooked to perfection, Samosa chaat had a generous serving of mint and ginger. Loved every bit of the food here. Our new favourite Indian restaurant and we will be back for more.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
It was very lovely experience to have lunch there , host were very cordial and warm ! She was helping me to get dishes that will good match with us . Nice Indian Bengali song was bonus ! Vegetarian options: You can have vegetarian or fish and meat too . I enjoyed my meal there , completely Bengali flavour,I couldn t believe that I was eating lunch at Vancouver not kalkutta Parking: Parking was easy , for customers there are enough parking space
Outstanding! Among the best Indian food Ive ever had (and Ive had a *lot* in the US, London, and Canada): fresh, creative, delicious. What a delight to discover this place while visiting the area. Impeccable service. And theyve done a nice job decorating their small space for dine-in. We happily took every scrap of our leftovers! ;) Highly recommend, and I will go out of my way to return some day... and Ill be dreaming about their naan in the meantime!
Roys Indian food restaurant provided a great taste of authentic Bengali cuisine. The fish fingers (Basha) was a delightful appetizer. The Pomfret fish curry with extra pieces was flavorful. The gigantic portion of goat curry is something that meat lovers would appreciate. Highly recommended for those seeking a Bengali culinary experience.
Ujala severed us very well and we enjoyed our the food and had a great experience. Food and service was good , it was great.
A special thanks to ujala for making our lunch so perfect
We had samosa chat and cauliflower Manchurian at the restaurant and both the dishes were amazing. A special thanks to Ujala for her wonderful greetings and food service. Will be happy to visit this place again. Vegetarian options: A lot
I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you and your wonderful team for making our daughters birthday party at Roys Indian restaurant an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm welcome and the impeccable setup. Your staffs professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction, ensuring that our guests felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. Our guests couldnt stop raving about the food, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to the celebration. Your willingness to accommodate our specific requests and go above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly did not go unnoticed. Once again, thank you for your outstanding efforts in making our party an extraordinary event. We look forward to returning to Roys Indian restaurant and enjoying your exceptional hospitality again in the future.
Roy s Place is our favourite Indian restaurant. The flavours are distinct. Each curry is different and has its own flavours. We drive from Vancouver to Tsawwassen when we wish to enjoy an Indian dinner. The Butter Chicken is a classic. It s rich in flavour and the chicken is tender. The Vindaloo is excellent and my husband s favourite. The Prawn and Fish Curry dishes are excellent! The portions are plentiful! The service is friendly and excellent. Roy s provides excellent value for an evening out. We have enjoyed all our dinners at Roy s!
Delicious food. Allways best breads and dishes are all perfectly created. I cant get enough. Everyday customer if I could afford it.
The best Bengali food I have had in Canada. I was surprised to see mocha and echor on their menu and had to try it out. I was not disappointed. In fact I absolutely loved the homestyle taste of the dishes. I should also praise their service, every one was very friendly and helpful. I will most definitely be back to try out other menu items.
Absolutely delicious!
Had the lentil cakes and mango prawns the sauce was great but it is at all the places I go to. Washroom was fine small place lots of parking. You can see the staff cook the food if you want. Indo customer at other table with his 3 stupid children was making ignorant comments waitress told me he was stupid and not a regular customer the comments ceased cook told me they wanted more White customers gave me a discount for not starting a fight the criminal identified himself as Surrey H.A.
Just great food here. We always load up with takeout here before boarding the ferry. It doesnt cost much more than the burgers they sell on board, but tastes so, so much better.
Found a long hair in my Samosa. Want to throw up every time I think about it. Kindly use a hairnet when cooking. Maybe health inspector needs to have a look.
Amazingly delicious only Bengali cuisine in lower mainland. Keep up the best quality. Highly recommended.
It s been 8 years m living in canada and this is the first time am having fresh indian food. Punjab de food di yaad dawti. Full batta full
One of the best place to have authentic Indian cuisine in Tsawwassen. Absolutely delicious food. Love each bite of the food here. We had dal makhni and karahi paneer. We will definitely be back to try out other menu items.
great food and service by ujala and her co worker. do check it outt
Always stop by here whenever I go to point Roberts
Very very authentic Bengali food! The rasgulla was to die for!
After walking past this place many times I finally gave it a try. I was blown away by how good the food is! Im still thinking about the lamb korma and chicken xacutti we had yesterday. It was perfect for a cold, windy and rainy night. Looking forward to my next visit!
The takeout was prepared on-time and it was delicious. The price was reasonable, and the food was great quality. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We liked that it was flavourful but not too rich or too greasy. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options Parking: Lots of spots Wheelchair accessibility: It was wheelchair accessible
Good food and good promotions! The fish Curry, mango prawns, and butter chicken was so good. Food
Amazing Bengali food.
We went there for lunch as I found only this location, which is providing indian vegetarian food that time. Food was delicious. Service was also good. Vegetarian options: Lots of Indian vegetarian food
Good for take out. Delicious butter chicken. Good butter pirogies. Atmosphere could use some upbeat Indian music
The best Indian food! Order takeout from here quite often and it is always Super delicious! Highly recommend.
Very poor staff knowledge and professionalism. We tried to place a simple food order with one main and one appy but it seems like it was too much for them. The sweetheart taking the order (after confirming the order twice) failed to deliver at their assigned time of pick-up. Her excuse was she did not make the order as she couldn t confirm the order. I doubt the telephone skills of the staff who has been assigned for this job. Guys make sure you call the restaurant twice after placing your order as the staff might need extra time to confirm your order. Unfortunately, this lead me to go to another restaurant and waste my time and effort for placing the food order.
Great experience and awesome food. The staff is wonderful and the owner comes to each table as well. We will come again when in Delta. Well, they make speacial tea for us with samosas.
Delicious indian food. Great customer service.
To be honest it reminds me of my mother s food , perfect in every way , love the presentation, and taste !!!!!!!
Stopped here on way back to Vancouver Island. We were in a rush as had to catch ferry. The server was wonderfully understanding and got the food to our table promptly. It was all delicious and so much over that we had to take home left overs despite being 5 of us. Lamb rogan josh was supberb. Tasted even better the next day. A wee gem of a place. Thank you to all the hardworking staff!
Its has been a while since I had a takeout from Roys. My 1st last night in quite a while and it was very good. Butter Chicken was on point, we also had some samosas, spinach pakora, chilli gobi, rice and naan. Very enjoyable and great portion sizes. Will be back for sure.
Simple and authentic Indian food, it was so delicious and freshly prepared.
Great food, great service.
Bad service . Do not prepare orders on the time and prepare wrong orders .
Great food, spiced just right, warm friendly service. Everything was just right. The dinning room esthetics could be improved but hey you cant have everything. Dont hesitate going for some of the best Indian dinning in greater Vancouver...
The chefs choice tasting menu is the best. Catered to dietary restrictions/preferences and different every time! Each time we try it, we get something better than the last.
Really good food at this place!! Great service!! Go and eat here!.. you will love it. Beef Vindaloo is awesome! Large partys are not a problem!
I always have the most amazing dinning experience at Roy s!! The staff are beyond friendly and the food is soooooo delicious. I don t usually leave reviews, but it was a must for this restaurant.
Amazing!
We had an impromptu stop at this restaurant as we were famished. My food was sumptuous and the spice levels were just right. Loved my veg korma and panner was soft and delicious. My kiddo loved their homemade yogurt and the gulab jamun was drool worthy. My spouse liked their dum biryani too. I will be frequenting this place everytime I go to the border. Ujala provided great service and was thoughtful and honest in her suggestions when I asked the preparation methods. Kid friendly and good portion sizes.
Hands down the best butter chicken + Garlic naan bread!
When I think about our traditional celebrations, Roy s Indian food is always my first option and it never disappoints. One of the best place to freeze your taste buds with the authenticity of Bengal food as well as other Indian foods too.
wildly good! what a genuine treat to have nourishing food before getting on the ferry. an absolute gem! we ate lamb dishes and they were all absolutely amazing! service was lovely, and we loved every bite of our meal. it was also very affordable!
We hired Roy s to cater a lunch event and had an excellent experience. After a simple discussion about what we wanted on the menu, everything was taken care of without a hitch. Our guests are still raving about the food and we were thrilled with the professional and accommodating service. Every need was taken care of including tablecloths for the serving tables; a simple but appreciated extra touch of considerate service. I would highly recommend Roy s and will definitely hire again!
I had the pleasure of eating his catered food at a graduation party some time back. Mr Roy worked hard to make sure that everyone had enough food throughout the evening, and he was often standing right next to the food to guide people less familiar with it through it. And the food - oh! Simply wonderful, it was. A wonderful balance of meat, vegetables, and fish, nothing too spicy, everything savoury and well-seasoned and just what youd expect from South Asian food. The desert, too, was marvelous. Honestly the only advice I could give Mr Roy is to keep it up.
Roys Indian Food was one of the most pleasant dining surprises I have had in 2022. Have shopped and dined nearby frequently, and this time decided to stop in for dinner. Started with a delicious cauliflower in tomatoes sauce appetizer together with a fish pakora. For me, the fish cood have used just a tad more time in the fryer (texturally) but the batter was perfectly crispy and seasoned spot on. For dinner had Chana masala, Aloo Gobi, chicken tikka and prawns in a mango curry sauce. Nothing was to hot (some might definitely find a need for more spice heat). The rice was some of the best I have had and the naan was fresh and perfect. Will be back asap.
A gentleman I follow on Google recommended this place. This recommendation was the icing on the cake before going back to Washington state . The vibe was on point and other customers seem to really enjoy there time and food. I ordered the chicken tikka with naan and my beautiful wife ordered the Lamb station with Roti. The chicken tikka was very tender and the sauce was silky, delicious! The lamb tasted very clean and well prepared. I ve had Indian in the past in other countries but this was by far the best I ve eaten. Everything was wonderful, zero complaints. They offer indoor and outdoor dinning. On nice cools days, outdoors is the place to be. Finding the front door can be a bit tricky, so be patient. Thank you for serving me and my family.
The food is delicious, specially the bengali foods. Very good experience with the catering as well. The owner is very friendly and professional. Always recommended.
Excellent restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, one of the best Indian restaurant I ever had. And the people working here are extremely nice. Thank you for the great experience!
Food was really delicious, authentic Indian. Was good visiting there. Staff was really nice as well
I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant but I was so disappointed with the food. My butter chicken had a strand of hair and the food was mediocre at best. Doon in Ladner super-exceeds expectations and I m never disappointed. It s too bad the food was not great at all.
The service Shoutout to ujala
Nothing special at all, butter chicken sauce wasn t even a sauce, tasted like a runny can you d get at Costco. Aloo Gobi was barely ok, if you like your cauliflower crunchy. Really disappointed across the board. Will not be ordering again.
Worst experience ever.!!!!
Phenomenal takeout, great pricing
We ordered for the first time last week and are making it a regular thing! We had butter chicken, naan, basmati rice, perogies, cauliflower and all the garnishes. It was so incredibly good that I was happy to be eating leftovers for 2 more days. Im just going online now to place our order for dinner tonight. I highly suggest you do the same!!!
A small and decent restaurant to have a great experience. Their menu is kind of limited but they can also make stuff from off menu if you ask them. The server was so nice to us throughout and made us feel so at home. The kadhai paneer (off menu) tasted very good (9/10) and the tandoori roti 10/10 was good as well. The butter naan (2/10) however had no butter on it so that was a disappointment. The honey gobi (honey chilli cauliflower) was a 6/10 it felt like we were eating fried cauliflower which was not fully seasoned with the honey chilli sauce. The main reason for the stars is the servers treatment. She was so extremely nice and we had a nice time because of her. Pros: Good service, fast service, a 7/10 overall experience and taste. Cons: the kitchen is open and the guests can hear every conversation they have in the kitchen which is kind of annoying. Should you give them a visit? 100%. Try their Kadhai Paneer, it was the best thing from the night.
Way over priced for servings size good thing it was just me eating normallythe usualplace I have leftover from 2 of use eating. And flavor was just ok.
Service was great. The butter chicken sauce is good, but the chicken itself is tough.
Tons of food and tastes really good cant go wrong with anything on the menu.
Fantastic restaurant, and excellent value! Superb shrimp Biryani. Highly recommended. Wish they did a Prawn Puri, starter, but the menu is great overall. :-)
Excellent Indian food.
I have known Chef Abhishek Roy since his time running Atithi on Broadway + Burrard. He really knows how to cook! We have had dinner at his restaurant as well as had him cater for us on many occasions. What is really refreshing is that his menu goes beyond the standard North Indian dishes commonly found in Vancouver (although he makes AMAZING butter chicken). He offers delights from East, West, and South India as well. I dont think you can find dishes like Cauliflower Samosas, Rahu Fish Curry, Jackfruit Biryani, Dhokar Dalna, and Katteh Eggplant anywhere else in the Lower Mainland). Amazing service, a friendly atmosphere, and delicious food. I highly recommend supporting a local restaurant like Roys Indian Resturant.
What an absolute gem. We were looking for a solid Indian option in the neighborhood (we moved somewhat recently nearby). What we got was an amazing family run Indian restaurant, with very finessed flavours. We had the chicken korma which was simply amazing, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the curry was incredibly complex. The chati was also very interesting and complex, but the winner for me was the samosa. Large, well cooked, and perfectly spiced. Add to that some amazing service when it got delivered for a very marginal fee; great service. I would compare this place to MyShanti at a fraction of the price.
Super!
Recently ordered take out and was so happy with our meal! Abundant, flavourful, hot and absolutely hit the spot. The meal was roughly $80 and that was more than enough plus leftovers. Would definitely recommend and order again soon!
Roy and Lopa are awesome. Always great customer service. Great tasting food. Highly recommend.
Overall, the food and customer service was great, and I recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to eat Indian Food outside. The samosas and garlic Naan were delicious, containing a very balanced amount of spices and ingredients. Staff was also perfect, as they treated me and my children like we were personal guests. Most importantly, I felt satisfied after I was done eating.
Absolutely loved It! The food was delicious & full of rich subtle flavours. A real treat.
We have tried food here twice and both times were really disappointed. It s just not nearly as good as the food you can get in Surrey or south Vancouver.
What a find! Delicious sauces and ample portions! And nice staff too!
Enjoyed very much. Loved the food. We had spinach pakoras, chicken cashew curry, and chicken tikka masala. Delicious... All of it. Staff was friendly and helpful. And their recommendations were on point. Also, if youre gluten free, this is the place to go.
Very bland and tasteless food, did not even taste like curry. Chicken Korma and Lamb Palak, worst $57 I ever spent.
We ordered cheez pakoras from this disgusting restaurant. The food worst I had ever. My friends dispointed also. In future, never visit there to waste money. Worst food; restaurant.
Very nice experience. Friendly staff and good balance of spice in the food. Will return back.
Delicious! Came in for dinner with a friend, and ordered chaat, khatteh eggplant, naan and chai. Everything was fantastic!
My favourite Indian place in South Delta. Good flavours, good ambiance, good prices, good service. Just wish I lived closer!
Ordered take out and it arrived in a timely manner. The food was delicious. Delivery driver was very kind. Would definitely order from here again.
Tasty, and plenty. Perfect.
What a treat! What a feast! We ordered takeout. Prawn Malai Curry, Butter Chicken, Chana Masala, Lentil Cakes in Fennel and Cashew Curry, Garlic Naan, Bengali Samosas, Lemon Rice and Mango Chutney. The flavours were superb. Everything was delicious! And generous portions. Came with complementary sauces. The samosas were huge - and wonderful, especially with the mango chutney. Sooo good. Loved everything. Great combination of textures and flavours. Yummm. Delivery was right on time. Will definitely go back again and again.
just ordered the lamb and butter chicken - delicious would order again
Outstanding food, friendly and fast service!!!!
Always outstanding food and service.
Fantastic food, quick and friendly service, good portion sizes.
Holy smokes Im not sure you would call this traditional Indian in the strictest sense but son of a gun it was amazing. I dont know how to even describe this place it was like a bit of a fusion. Obviously its Indian food you can get classic Indian dishes but theres just something different about this place I cant really put my finger on it.
Enjoyed the food every time we have eaten there or picked up!
The food was great lovely atmosphere and the music was great. The Head chef came out to ask as about the food
DELISH food with excellent service
Great food and service. Chef seemed very passionate about food and treated us well!
Dhokar danla and echorer curry were really good
Butter chicken here is dope. A definite try, totally worth the money. Next try, pepper beef.
Food was good and service was excellent
Excellent food and service. Always a treat.
Ive never tried Indian food before but this place was very good. I will be back.
Delicious food!
The location is good. But an Indian origin person will never the
Tasty and the perfect balance of flavour and spice. We especially liked the spinach pakora. Our order was ready on time and we were grateful to be served during Covid.
Food was very delicious. Waitresses super polite throughout and patient helping us with the menu. Especially with Covid-19, they put health and safety a top priority making sure they maintain a respectable distance when serving to us. I enjoyed eating their Lamb Palak and Butter Chicken! Willing to try something new next time!
The food was good but not great! However, the service was pretty amazing!
Fantastic!!! I have not had enough Indian food to critique how it compares to others. However, I know what I like and I like good food. Roys has absolutely delicious food!!! Picked up our order on time in their nice clean restaurant. Seemed to be a very friendly family operation. Price was very good considering there was enough food left over for a next day meal....very generous portions. Not many places I can say that about these days. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks to all the staff at Roys for making my belly happy by filling it with such good food. :)

We ordered tskeout on our way to the ferries and service was great! The butter chicken was cooked perfectly and you cant go wrong with their delicious naan they make!
Great food, great service. Will definitely be back.
Customer service was awesome.. thank you.....
Very good.
Great food and fast delivery!
Stopped here randomly to get dinner to take to the ferry. I had butter chicken with naan, hubby had lamb korma. Both were absolutely delicious. Large portions, steaming hot still even after we parked at ferry and walked to a table. The Naan was to die for. Will definitely be back. Thank you !
One word can best describe this restaurant - delicious. Ordered takeout today and by far, this is the best Indian food we ve had in the greater Vancouver area. Spinach pakora, aloo gobi, saag paneer, naan. Dishes came with plenty of fluffy basmati rice. Only issue was the rice container doesn t close well so some rice ended up over every container. We ll be back for more vegetarian dishes
Best Indian food in the area by far
Awesome food here .... if you want to try some new modified Indian food.. come to ROY S.....service is good too.
Awesome service - awesome food! Always!!
Wonderful people and amazing food!!
Very delicious, must try ALLO TIKKU
great food and service
Amazing restaurant! There were so many options to choose from and the waitress was so friendly and patient. That alone gave the restaurant at least 3 stars. I ended up ordering the butter chicken and was super satisfied with my choice. The curry was super good, and a good amount of creamy, while the chicken was perfectly good, while just a tad bit on the dry side. The garlic naan was amazing. Other then that, the atmosphere was amazing and I would definitely go again!
Great place. Definitely worth a try.
lovely resturant! must-go and try :)

Great service and tasty food
Every once in a while you get to see someone that approaches their craft with a true love for the process of crafting. Whomever is cooking at Roys is such an individual. Superb food.
