Famoso is a casual pizzeria serving authentic Neapolitan pizzas made with high quality ingredients in a domed Italian oven. Ideal for a quick lunch or a night out. Enjoy with wine, cocktails and beer.
Was served an undercooked and burned pizza. Was the. Left at the table just waiting for a solution. The solution was to just give me the bill for my food. Terrible service to go with terrible food. Eat anywhere else.
We have ordered here many times because our kids like the pizza but I find it way overpriced unless they have a promotion. We just ordered 3 pizzas on uber, because there was a promotion, and the restaurant cancelled our order. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving so it wasn't because they were busy. Thats ok we will never bother again.
Great place for a family dinner. Enough options to please everybody and a few decent beers on tap.
Felt like trying new pizza and decided to come here. Ordered a Margherita pizza. The pizza was very unevenly cooked, some parts of it undercooked and others overcooked. It was also incredibly soggy towards the center. The sauce was very bland, little to no taste. The cheese felt low quality and slid off the pizza. Service wasn’t bad, but it seemed like staff was all new or just sort of negligent. Would not recommend, you might as well go to freshslice in the same plaza and have much better pizza at a better price point.
First time I had the famous Famoso Pizza and I absolutely loved it. I love the doughy yet thin crust and the chunky tomato sauce. Unlike Freshslice or Pizza Hut, I could see and taste each topping which were good. The Capriciosa was excellent with prosciutto, Kalamata olives, artichokes, basil and real mozzarella cheese. This was very well made and scrumptious! Too bad Famoso operates inside Ricky's in Ladner because it is a premium Pizza brand inside a truck stop. The service was ok, waiter wasn't attentive and didn't offer any water refills or dessert. Next time, I'm ordering a takeout.
Waitress was not aware that they had a drinks menu despite the location being advertised as being a pizzeria and bar. She later kindly found us one at a different table, though. When I asked for the drinks from the menu the bar wasn’t stocked with any of the ingredients for the real cocktails and only premixed cans were available. The food came quickly enough and it was delicious! The house lager is reasonable. We felt like perhaps our table was forgotten about and had to ask for our bill so we could leave after being passed by many times. Seems like a nice enough place to take your kids that is probably experiencing some growing pains after the pizza expansion. The tiny tot in the table ahead of us was really enjoying himself!
The food came quick. We ordered Prosciutto Arugula pizza and wings. The wings were ok except the italian flavour was a bit bland. We finished our water but couldn't see our waiter come near our table to see if we needed any more water even though there was not a lot of patrons in the restaurant at the time. All in the all the food was ok.
This great new pizza place opened in Ladner. I highly recommend you give it a try. Great pizza, great wings and great service.
Good and delicious pizza
Should change Google times as just called at 830pm and was told closed but online says closed at 9pm.
Terrible service and horrible food. If you are looking for a fun family pizza nite place this is not it. To wait 15 just to order drinks and noo refills not even water. For a minor to be serving .. and a resturant that has only bottles of beverages. The food was either over cooked or undercooked . Sorry I wish I took a picture to share but, never thought it could go bad to worse. The serving staff was more interested in chatting with the rest of staff than doing what she is there to do.( serve) ( perhaps this is not the job for you) . And kitchen staff you cannot dump dry Oregano over a salad and think this is acceptable to eat. All in all a big F . Ladner community deserves better than this . Time to throw in the towel . If this could not make it as a Rickey s and Famoso was your life line . Well you are done .
The worst pizza and service ! Totally burnt on both sides could not eat it and they still excepted my payment..
Burnt pizza! I have had Famoso pizza at other locations that were not burnt! I will try them again - once they figure out how to use the oven!!
Horrible. I dont usually post anything so blunt. See my other posts. Praise given when praise due.....this was just.....horrible. On all fronts unfortunately.
The pizza came out and a reasonable time and the staff was friendly
One of the best pizza spl customers service, owner behaviour so good nd place neat & clean every one must visit
The Abruzzo pizza is really good has the perfect amount of spice to it. As someone who lives in ladner I will now be going here regularly for a pizza it s very fresh

Great Pizza and Wings
We did 3 different orders, including bringing my family in to get the real experience, Ive come to the conclusion that your restaurant has quite a few challenges ahead of it. The first time we ordered pizza, we got take out. It was ok but not very warm let alone hot.5 minutes in airfryer cured that but should not have been. The in person experience was a little unsettling. 6 people were in my party and we were seated fairly quickly though the table lighting was too bright and we moved to another. Long story short, the service was slow and sporadic. The pizza was luke warm again. Given that they werent that busy we didnt understand how this could happen. The tables were dirty, the television above us was filthy and the cutlery was badly washed. The meal was ok. Friday night is pizza night in my house and after agreeing that we would only get takeout from now on we ordered a large pizza to take home. This time the pizza was burnt on the top and the bottom yet the dough was soft and toppings near the middle were wet. We liked the idea of trying out a new local player in the restaurant circle, but quite honestly, its going to be hard to come back. John W
Ordered 3 pizzas + wings for take out: Margherita was good. Sweet BBQ chicken was nothing like shown. Barely had any bbq drizzle, no roma tomatoes as listed on the menu, and had raw peppers on it that clearly hadnt even touched the oven. We were all excited for this pizza and it was easily the worst one. Abruzzo was okay, but barely any Mozzarella/cheese, even for an Italian style pizza. This was really just tomato sauce + meat. Dough was overall okay. Wings were tasty, pretty big, and sauce was good. Could have spent a little longer in the oven as the skin was quite thick.
Famoso was always a knock off Italian pizza that started franchising out couple of years ago. But I never expected it to reach that level! Pizza stove in a corner of Ricky s that s branded Famoso. Pizza I got here was way different than what I usually get from Commercial drive location, felt more like cheap Hindu style pizza where they just dump sauce on the dough, then cover it with toppings and sprinkle with cheese on top. Once baked the toppings float in hot sauce with no cheese binding to the dough. Woke up 4 in the morning and had to depressurize myself by releasing copious amounts of liquid stool.
Not good at all
The service is really good. The pizza was cooked perfectly.
Great pizzas. Good family restaurant
Nothing like the Victoria restaurant. Pizza was undercooked and soggy. Pasta was bland and chicken parm was swimming in greasy cheese. Steer clear.
Not hot and very soggy crust undercooked.
This is the best pizza, also the meatball sub was so so delicious. Cant wait to go back and try everything on the menu!
Food is fantastic . Slow prep so tip your dasher well because they will be waiting .
