Britannia Brewing in Ladner has definitely come a long way since opening and there are some great features here. If you dont have dietary concerns, this place has a range of things to offer and a nice clean environment. PROS: Always clean! I have yet to come in to a dirty table, cutlery, menus or bathrooms. This is huge, as many restaurants are actually subpar in this department. The patio out back is dog friendly and done up with a nice fence, fake grass, and lights/signs so its very welcoming (youre not just in a parking lot). The staff are always friendly Great selection for appetisers that differ from all the local restaurants around, and many are vegeterian. (Unsure if the fries are cooked in the same oil as the fish/chicken) The Ladner Power Bowl is tasty. They have some nice cocktails and locals beers. They have a big section for large groups or functions which is off to the side from the main part of the restaurant. Always willing to substitute or add to your meal without a fuss. Lots of parking infront, behind, or across the street and pedal bike bars to lock your bike to right infront of the restaurant. CONS As a vegeterian, they finally brought in veggie options as mains but they are all portobello mushrooms options. (Port mush pasta, port mush as a burger, or port mush tacos.) I personally dislike the taste and texture of mushrooms and Im not alone in either liking them or hating them. Considering theres chicken, beef, pork, and seafood options for meat eaters - its lacking for veggies as a starter isnt enough as a meal. Its can be expensive on the regular menu (depending on choice) and the happy hour is very limited and only $1-$2 off from the regular menu. Theres 3 salads that are vegeterian- a mushroom salad, a farm house salad, and a beet salad. The farm house salad is essentially a BOX of frisee salad with only a few bits added so after a quarter of it- youre over it. The beet salad is flavourless. If its busy, its very loud, as theres no soft furnishings to absorb the sound.

Ladners best restaurant. Kid-friendliness: By far the best place for kids in Lander/Tsawassen. Not only the food options are great but they dont make you feel bad for bringing them as it happens in a lot of places around.

Had watermelon sour, very tasty, and Korean cauliflower, prawn lettuce wraps and mushroom tacos. Everything was great, would come back and reccomend.

When we arrived they said they didnt know if they had any dog friendly tables available on the patio, but I was under the impression that the whole patio is dog friendly as thats what the website says. A little confusing. Would go back...hoping the squid is added back to the menu!

Took 91year old parents in for dinner. We had heard it was good and what we heard was right. Fish and chips were excellent as were mussels.Churro dessert was excellent but could have used a bit more caramel sauce. Our server short Ella was one of best servers we ve had in a long while and we come from food service industry. She is a star!!! Parking: Lots of parking out front.

2024/8/11 We went to Delta BC for Animal Expo and Ladner village market. We had a good time there. Britannia Brewing is just a few steps away the village market and we decided to having lunch over there. Britannia Brewing has spacious indoor and patio settings, we went for patio area today. We ordered 3 starts to share with ; 3 brunch set and 3 drinks. We paid around CND160 tax & tips included. The starters were good, Cobb Salad, Buttermilk fried chicken and prawn Louie but the 2 burgers and fish & chips just average. However the overall ambience was relaxing.

We went for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Great food, reasonable prices and fantastic service makes it well worth the visit.

I was so surprised buy this little gem that I had always overlooked. Its at a very Central and easy In-N-Out location in Ladner. Its very open, with lots of seating and very simple and yet classic design. Lots and lots of menu choices and great beer selection. Vista was welcoming and wonderful! Ill be back! Vegetarian options: I absolutely loved the corn ribs and the portobello mushroom sandwich!

Last night (feb 10th) I came in with maybe close to 25 people for our friends birthday and let me just say everything was great! The service was top notch. Our server was excellent and on the ball! Didn t mess up a single order or bill at the end. (I hope she sees this as I didn t get her name) the food was incredible, drinks were great and atmosphere too. It s hard to go out in big groups as I feel sometimes the service lacks now a days to cater to big groups but Britannia was excellent. We will be back again!!

First time here & ordered some food, a flight of beer & a pint; so 5 different beers. 3 of 5 beer were real flat, which was a shame, as everything else was excellent. Very surprised; they were probably having a bad night.

A gem in the heart of Ladner. Funky decor, awesome food and great drinks - try the Westham Sour, made with Empress Gin, absolutely fantastic (but dont have too many as they are potent lol). Great place to enjoy good company.

I only gave it a 4 because the food was not as good as I was hoping. I had the crispy cauliflower, and it was not crispy at all. I was disappointed. The Lamb shank was good, and the mashed potatoes may have been the best I have ever had. My dessert was a gelatin coffee type of dessert, and I wouldnt eat that again. The service was incredible, and I loved the atmosphere, so I will probably go back and try someone else on the menu.

Went there for their Dine Out Vancouver and it was great! Very cute spot with great food. Wasn t able to try the beer this time, but looking forward to it next time. Also liked the individual non gendered bathrooms.

If think my poor opinion is a one off scroll down to see others with the same poor review. I ordered the Crab Spaghetti and my wife ordered the Dining Out gnocchi special. Both were completely bland tasting and visually bland in presentation. My dish had no discernible taste of crab,garlic or lemon as described in the menu...hands down worst pasta dish I have ever had. My wife had a similar take on her dish. Did not want to broach the subject at the table with our friends as they had recommended the place but the fact that neither mentioned anything good about the meals is telling. In addition the open cafeteria style setting puts you on top of people next to you with nothing in the decor absorbing sound so people were half shouting at each other to be heard. This might excite some people but not us. Previous Saturday we had gone to the local Legion and had a wonderful meal with live music and great service. We will be returning.

Came here for the first time last weekend with friends for a beer and some bites. It was very busy but we didn t wait long for a table. The food was great - I had the mussels, and there were amazing beer and even cocktail options. The service was good and friendly. I would recommend for bite and beer, a date night or even a solo night.

Great atmosphere and good food. Something different. Very friendly staff. I recommend the Beet salad, short rib and cauliflower. The churrois are usually undercooked and the stickie toffee pudding needs work. Lots of different beers on tap. If you want a quiet dinner for 2, its not the place to go. If you want atmosphere, good food and great staff you will love it.

Great spot for lunch or dinner in Ladner. The Seafood Chowder was outstanding, as was the Cobb Salad. The Beet and Goat Cheese Salad was a hit with our friend and the Fried Chicken Sandwich was finger licking good! Excellent service by the staff.

Love the nautical look and the openness. Staff is super friendly. Summertime the patio is big and has shaded areas with umbrellas. Meat eaters - start with the Buttermilk Chicken main meal try the Short Rib! Veggie lovers - KFC! veggies with a kick for sure. You just have to try Britannia more than once to get the full menu of love.

Our friends in Tsawwassen introduced us to Brittania Brewing in Steveston. We thought it odd that they did not show us Brittanias sister restaurant in Ladner so we tried it one day. Since the menu is slightly different, and weve had fish too often lately, we thought it would be a safe thing to order a burger. I considered going for the gluten free option, but didnt. And it was a good thing because the fries were pre-coated with flour already. In fact, the beef patties tasted pre-packaged as well. The whole meal tasted aweful. Weve had more juicy burgers from almost everywhere else. The fries were too salty and not made with whole potatoes. We loved the sticky toffy pudding from Steveston, so we ordered that for dessert. In the UK, sticky toffee pudding is typically made from spongy ginger bread. The pudding here tasted like it was a date and apple cake, not really sticky material. The only positive aspect of this place was adequate distancing between tables.

Love coming here for brunch. Such a vibe and the place is always spotless! Such a great sign when you are dining in a space you know they take well care of !

Love this place . Just had their. Muscle pot it is one of the top 5 I have eaten. Really big juicy well cooked and flavoured. The service is speedy and friendly. Great to have a business out here in Ladner with this level of expert cuisine! Stunning experience!

It is unfortunate that the service did not meet the taste of the food. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive after we placed an order. We ordered only a burger and salad. There was no touch points of updates on our order and refills after we placed our order. Tables that were seated after us received their food before ours. As well we heard other customers complain to the manager about their extensive wait time. We had to wave down another waitress to ask about our food. After we received our food we started to get service, however they were an hour too late. Overall the lack of service and timeliness was very disappointing.

I was at britannia for a wedding and had the best experience ever! the food was amazing and service superb. Our server, Ava, really made the night special! her attention to detail and overall hospitable nature made our evening spectacular. Our 3rd day in Canada Im finding that the craft beer here are light on taste and aroma. Had a flight with Chai Saison, Hazy NZ pale ale, wave crusader and Riptide. Chai Saison=Coors light with a hint of Chai. Haze NZ...weak. Wave crusader tasted good which is important but not much as far as aroma. Rip tide was by far the best, Hazy IPA with nodes of cirrus with a slight sweetness that helps with the bitterness.

Service was great..beer is cold. One thing, though, the fish and chips... for a fisherman, little town.. i would absolutely get better fish for the price it is going for. Anyways .. i left the place, and i was still hungry. Overall, 4 stars . Ill come back to see if they change the fish someday as i like fish and chips a lot.. just not that one.

Went there 3 weeks ago on a Sunday for a small b day dinner. Food was fantastic. However the review is not about the pub. This review is about McKenzie the server. Omg she is good. I have been in the restaurant business 40 years and I have never seen a well polished server like this. She knew the menu. Had great suggestions and her up sale skills were over the top. Usually the 5 of us get out of there with a bill of $160. That night it was $250 because she knew how to sell us the menu. Well done young lady. To the owner. As a restaurant owner to another. I would pull her aside show her this review and offer her $5 more a hour. If u dont I will come steal her from you. Thats an employee you can build a team behind

Wife ordered the seafood chowder and she said it was the worst she has had in a long time. Couldnt find any seafood in it. Server was advised but didnt do anything about the situation. Other meal was good (power bowl with chicken). Beer was very good and both the location and the atmosphere were top grade. Lunch for two with a couple beers each was 70 dollars. Ok overall. But suggest you avoid the chowder.

UPDATE: After visiting again, multiple times, i can now confidently say that my mind has been changed from 3 to five stars. The staff are very attentive and often check in to make sure the bevies are in good order and that the food meets our expectations. And on that note, ALL the food has exceeded my expectations. Superb, well thought out menu using some top notch ingredients. The beer options are decent! Nothing too over the top but definitely a good amount of options to quench ones thirst. My only quam is that it can get really noisy but I guess that comes with a place that has become very popular with locals. I cant wait for the epic patio to reopen. Bring on summer!!!

Spending Family Day weekend touring Ladner and first stop for dinner was Britannia Brewing Ladner. Always a bit intimidating taking our 5 and 1 year old boys for dinner but it was a great family dinner! They managed to get a table on a busy Saturday night without reservations. Service was super fast and friendly as they knew we had our hands full. Fish and chips were excellent and my Saison was also great. To top off a great experience, someone anonymous gave us a gift card to pay for our dinner ! Never had that happen before and it more than enough covered our families meal. What a kind gesture and great introduction to Ladner.

Had dinner with the family, beer and service were great. Had the fried chicken burger, I was disappointed, unfortunately I would describe it as a Mcchicken on a brioche bun. I ve been to the Steveston location for brunch and the food was fantastic with great presentation. The chicken seemed over fried and was probably half an inch thick served on checkered wax paper on a plate with fries. The fries included a paper thimble of ketchup that ran out after 4 fries which seems to be the norm at most restaurants these days unfortunately. My wife s said her veggie burger was good and we also had the hummus which was also good but just a heads up its 9 dollars for 8 or so small pieces of pita with a scoop of spicy hummus. Again to summarize its a nice place with good beer and service but I expected more from the food which will unfortunate affect my decision to return.

Where do I start. We had reservations for 4 at 630pm. We were seated promptly and had to start looking around for a waitress to serve us. It was an acceptable time that we waited as our second group was a bit late. We ordered our food right away as they were busy on this Friday night. As time dragged on I saw other tables being seated and their food arriving. About a half hour wait the waitress came over and said our food would be there shortly. We ordered food at about 640pm. Food arrived an hour later brought to the table by the manager as he was there to help out. Talked to the manager and advised our food arrived about an hour after we ordered and I pointed out other tables that came in after us and had their food already and were half finished. No a happy person I was. There is no excuse to wait that long. He went to the kitchen and came back and advised our order was placed in the wrong line up at the back end instead of the front end. Just an apology was given. The food was great. We ordered the chicken burgers and fish and chips. Worth it. We had the order of beers and they were delicious. The crab and chilli spaghetti was bland and not much crab. Only half eaten. The waitress offered us free desserts for our wait which we had the churros. They were very good. If you ever had anything go wrong at Mario s kitchen the manager cannot do enough for you to set things right. The manager here, I felt blown off, and that was that. I will give it a go again as I felt this was a one off incident to see if it is better.

It has an upscale but not pretentious cape cod beach vibe. Good beer, a large quality high quality food menu. Large back patio. I have been to both locations, both are great.

First time visiting, was greeted by friendly helpful staff. Started with the beer sampler, tasty and refreshing... As it was Happy Hour with a few items that paired greatly with our beer choices... Must say that well definitely be back with friends.... Also to note they have a backyard patio and serve a Sunday brunch which well definitely try out...

Had a couple flights, the beer was okay, but honestly could have been a bit better. The food was good and portions were pretty generous. Overall the place was nice, clean, and staff were friendly, but the beer was a bit disappointing. Not bad by any stretch, just not particularly amazing or adventurous, all very traditional flavours and profiles. Perfect for the average Joe looking for a beer and some food, just not for a beer person looking to try new and fun stuff.

This is an OK beer palace. Decent pub type food. This was my third time there. I dont like to write a review on my first experience. The menu is average, but has a few good twists. I havent been lucky here, when viewing their menu on the web. What I am craving, is never there Beef Short ribs, mash, vegs. Or, Beef Brisket dinner. So have had (in lieu) the BEEF Burger and fries with a Ceasar salad. Or, the Fish & Chips. Both have been excellent. Not, this last time had the Burger ... . Would have sweared it got smaller? Would recommend for a pub meal, with a few twists. But not much more.

I really did want to give more than 3 stars, unfortunately I did not realize at first that this is a franchise of the Steveston location rather than a replication/second location under the same owners. This location does not appear to use all the same ingredients/suppliers. The food is good and the portions are appropriate but it s just not the same, something as simple as the classic shoestring fries we know and love of Brittania brewing, do not exist here. We have now been 5 or 6 times and twice, while the restaurant was not busy (maybe 5 tables total)? We had relatively poor service. The other 3 visits the service was fantastic. I m hopeful this was simply the new restaurant opening bumps and blips as it was earlier on.

I tried this place for lunch on a whim. The patio is great. The Sirens Chai Saison is amazing. The Ladner Power Bowl was awesome. This was one of the best dining experiences Ive had in a while. Ill be back here every time Im in Ladner.

Very tasty brews and eats. Many non standard food options available. I had the KFC - loved this way of preparing cauliflower! Wide variety of brews to satiate different palates. Im not fond of the very bitter so was happy to have multiple options to my liking, enough to go with a flight. Spacious patio in the back was great for our large group. Looking forward to trying out the Steveston location next time Im back in the area.

Oh wow. I am so happy we stopped here tonight. I tried a few beers (which were refreshing and original); we both had the fried chicken sandwich, which was so tasty, with the spicy mayo making it even better. And the fries not just fries, somehow. So SO good. The atmosphere was warm, cozy and unpretentious, with high ceilings and a clean, relaxing space. Have been here a few times and am never disappointed. The olives they serve are unlike any others and Im not a fan of olives. Theirs arent super salty. I wish they would have more than 1 IPA to choose from. That is my only wish here...

Yummy food, diverse beer, cocktail and wine selection, friendly and attentive service (Ella is the best) and the atmosphere is vibin both inside and outside (great patio area with artificial grass, picnic tables and fire pit). Picked this place on a whim and really enjoyed it. We went on a Sunday evening so it wasnt busy. The server was great (and attentive), we enjoyed the beer, and the food was pretty good too. I wish they sold merchandise, we would have picked up some glasses!

Great beer, great decor and patio! Nice food as well. Tasty beets! The only downside is the volume indoors which is too loud to comfortably hear your own table. Will be back!

The food was delicious, Ella and Ava did wonderful for the service and they are friendly and helpful.

Really great place to go with friends and family. Food and drinks are amazing. Impossible to reach them for reservations though. Can never reach them and when you try to reach out via Instagram or any of the social media platforms you are treated poorly and with little to no help as the socials are run by the Richmond location.

could use a better view of the menu rather than angled view for us with poor eyesight... had the cauliflower, it was good, had the Riptide and it was real good.

The Chai Saison has become one of my favorite beers. Try ordering the fried chicken tossed in the KFC sauce cause it is bomb. Great service

What a great addition to the Ladner Community. A beautiful place with a great outdoor patio.

It s great to have another option for some good beers and food in Ladner. I ve been waiting on this place for a while after visiting their Steveston location a couple of times and it didn t disappoint. Their beer selection has something for everyone and they have no limitations on the flight if you re indecisive. What s nice is that they have some good bites to go along with their drinks. It s not an extensive menu, but the offerings are tasty and well crafted. There is plenty of seating (especially with the back patio) and the staff and friendly and efficient.

Too Bad I was really excited about trying this place. I had one drink before I never saw my waitress again. The drink was good. The rest sucked really really bad. the food arrived cold and it took an hour!!!. A half hour in she came and told me she forgot to put my order in. Wow. My daughter and I had the same dish and both looked totally different.She got hers 30 mins before me as well. The service was truly brutal and the food was meh at best and I had the seafood pasta . Its a really pretty place with potential. Better get it together or it wont be around long. Id give it negative stars but it wouldnt let me. Heed my warning, a tragic experience. Unless your going to get drunk, your better off to hit subway before you go. CORRECTION !!! : Since I have posted this review I was contacted by Vince , the owner of Britannia brewing in ladner. He reviewed my experience via his cameras inside his restaurant. He agreed my experience was not a good one and that he used my experience as a learning example with his staff to assure that sort of experience isnt repeated in the future. Vince invited me back along with my family to give Britannia Brewing another shot at giving me the experience he felt i should have had to start with. DID THEY EVER ! I knew the drinks were good to start with , but now that I have had a chance to sample a few of the other drinks on the menu Im pleasantly surprised to say the least. Excellent, I didnt have one that tasted cheap or rushed. Every drink was mixologist level good. More importantly the service was stellar this time. The food was 5 star quality and far above anything Ive eaten in Ladner. Richmond, North or south Delta to date. So much so , Ill find it hard pressed to Venture downtown for a quality meal in the future with this place in my back yard! obviously I had a one off experience the first time. Ill Consider that teething, that most if not all new restaurants go through at start up. We had an amazing dinner here! The KFC was one of the best items Ive ever had at a restaurant. I highly recommend it if you can get a table!

Good service, tried their watermelon margarita, smashed apple with spicy rum, flank steak, veggie burger, and fish and chips.

You just need to try their beer. Its dang good

Was just in for dinner with a friend, ive been to the richmond location before but 1st time to the ladner location, on point. The room 1st of all is so very well done, kudos to the team that designed and built it. The food was delicious. THE SERVICE BY AVA WAS THE BEST PART!!!! Im a stickler for service and very hard to please but Ava nailed it, from my beverage suggestion as i dont drink alcohol to the fish n chips to the dessrt were all amazing. She is pleasant, professional and fun and really made the evening a delight so thank you again Ava. Thanks for dessert too!!!! If you have a chance to dine here, do it.

We have tried Beef burgers with Fries and salad The salad is highly recommended so yummy and fresh The fries were yummy The burger taste fresh beef meat but for me was a little salty which I prefer less salty food

Great atmosphere but food is average at best, service is below average and bartenders are horrible.

A gem in the heart of Ladner. The menu is wonderful with a wide selection of locally sourced seafood and meats. The staff are warm and friendly and take great care to make sure you have an excellent experience whether youre having a sit down dinner on date night or just grabbing a pint and an appy with friends. The KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower) is a must have appy but you wont go wrong with anything else.
