Cactus Club Cafe in Delta

I was really excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The service was extremely slow it took over 2 hours to receive our food, even though the restaurant wasn t particularly busy. When the food finally came, it was lukewarm and didn t match what we ordered. While the food itself had potential, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I hope they can improve on their service, as the menu looks promising, but I m not sure I ll be back after this experience. This review is specific and respectful, focusing on areas where the service fell short while still giving the business room to improve.

No parking small parking lot. Not ideal if you drive, maybe good if you ride a bicycle or take transit. :(

Manager refused to table 7 of us . She didn t even look to see if they could accommodate 4 plus 3 . The girls at the front were looking for solutions !

We drove from Vancouver to drop off food for Surrey Food Bank and called cactus club, Delta to make reservations for 7 people around 2:15 pm. They told us to make reservations online however we walked in at the restaurant and one host said she could possibly accommodate us in the bar area as there were 4 empty tables, we waited and the female Manager came to us and said that they can t accommodate the party of 7 and that we could come back around 9 pm! Customer service: No effort was made for an option, such as 2 tables

I enjoy dining at this Cactus Club location. I find this location isn t as busy compared to other locations. It is more of a chill Cactus Club than other locations where it feels more fancy. Service is fairly fast and the servers are friendly. Parking is hard to get from time to time especially in the evening and other businesses in that plaza.

Our server Kavleen was amazing. She went above and beyond in her service.

Matt was an absolutely amazing server! His enthusiasm, expertise, and genuine care made our evening truly special. He exceeded every expectation, delivering personalized service with a smile.

My wife and I havent been out in a while but we were able to make some time to go out for dinner tonight and we had a fantastic time. Our server Matt was amazing and did a phenomenal job at making us feel comfortable and happy. He made a random one-off night extra special for me and my wife so hats off to him.

Absolute WORST restaurant for take out!!!! I m super frustrated. If I add up the amount of money wasted on this food I d cry. There s been at least 6 occurrences IN THE LAST MONTH where they gave me someone else s LEFTOVERS!! Why am I paying $30 for leftovers and scraps? The quality is NOTHING like dining in. I m in the middle of exam season as well and the time I m wasting to drive all the way there to pick it up, only to find that there s NO cutlery (am I supposed to eat with my fingers¿) and it tastes so bad, stale, old, portions are so little and inconsistent with dine in portions PS I will take it upon myself to post the pictures here soon. I strongly advise y all not to waste your money on this place, I gave them chance after chance and even tried to bring it up to the lady on the phone, i ended up getting worst quality that day when I spoke up:/

used to come here alot ownership changed and went on a downward spiral, they have pulled up their socks and Gaby is the best! give this girl a raise she should definitely be a head server or someone who should be apart of customer service in a higher position at head office!

My partner and I booked a reservation for a date on a Saturday night, and looked forward to ordering our favourites. We booked a reservation for the lounge, and had arrived early. Upon asking if there was a booth, and being informed there were none available, we told the host we would be okay with sitting at the bar instead. The bartender, Cameron, greeted us and took our order for our first round of drinks and appetizers. After placing our order, the bartender was negligent in checking in on us. We realized that he was socializing plenty with gentlemen next to us. In the midst of finishing our appetizers, the bartender joined his friends at the bar and we were never properly transferred. We were extremely dissatisfied with the service and when a second bartender came to check in on us, we asked for the bill rather than ordering more food or a second round of drinks. We were very disappointed, as we frequent this location and enjoy the food every time. We ran out of patience to order our mains due to the lack of attention. We asked the host at the front for a business card or contact for the general manager, to which we received a a standoffish response of we don t do business cards here .

Hi, I came in today after quite some time and I came with my sister and it was during the later hours as it s a bit more relaxed. I absolutely loved seeing Josiah again who had been extremely helpful in the past as I have anxiety at times and a positive interaction and listening authentically is so appreciated on a rough day. Anyway, Chef Amol made such an amazing veggie burger, which was made CLEAN, and perfectly balanced amount of ingredients and super FRESH. Our servers Vicky, and Anyi were calm, patient and gave us enough space as well. We had some interaction with Angela as well upon arrival and was very calm and friendly, overall there was cohesion between staff and the conversation was fun and also Josiah remembered us from a long time ago, that friendly n welcoming energy is becoming exceedingly rare in the restaurant industry and needed to write and update my review. Also please try the mash potatoes with creole it is absolutely BOMB as well as dirty fries tossed in honey. If you are ordering cheesecake ask to have it with caramel instead, definitely worth it :) had to use pics from my last visit as we were having too much fun to remember to take any pics! will come back again soon, but we appreciate the super amazing night! Restaurant staff are appreciated as it is a demanding line of work, and on those nights we don t want to do dishes at home we can trust the quality and standard at Cactus

Good food at good prices and when you add the tip on top, it becomes a wee bit expensive, yet a favourite spot whether during lunch or dinner.

Everything was great at the Cactus Club on Scott Road.

Ordered Thai green curry, Med bowl, Tofu bowl and Impossible burger All the food was bland and not at par with other cactus restaurant locations. Burger was full of Mayo. Service and ambiance is fine. Disappointed!!

So we went there at about 3:15. The service was super slow. The front desk girl was acting like she didnt care about the customers. I recently visited Cactus Club Cafe on Scott Road in Delta, and it was by far my worst experience at this location. While we were greeted kindly and seated promptly, the service went downhill from there. Our server took our order and asked how the food was once, but after that, she completely ignored us. She never returned to check on us, didn t clear our dishes after we finished eating, and just kept walking around without engaging. It felt very uncomfortable, and we had intended to order more but ended up just asking for the bill due to her attitude. This was extremely disappointing, especially since I ve had good experiences here before. The lack of attention and unprofessional service made for a really unpleasant visit. Not sure if I ll be coming back anytime soon. This should convey your experience clearly while remaining constructive.

Exceptional food and service. Matt (a tall gentleman) assisted us throughout, we celebrated my sons 9th birthday and the service was amazing. Kudos and all praise to Matt (If I recall correctly) that was his name he made a big impact by being very attentive as we as welcoming.

We have an reservation for 5 @8:30 fri 27th at Scott road Delta location,we got there 8:15 and the girl ask us to wait. So waited untill 8:45 with my 88 year old mom who couldnt stand that Long 4 of the girls standing there no one offer a chair for her . We were about leave ,my daughter ask them whats going on? The girl then check said somebody else taken our seat ?? We still waited to get the table. And thats not it we ordered two coke and water .One of the coke glass has stain on top edge (photo attached) or some kind bacteria .They gave us new one but seems it wasnt a big issue for them .After seeing that we couldnt eat and we paid and left the food . You decide if you want to eat in that kind of restaurant.if the glass is that dirty imagine what will be in your food.We will never go to any of Cactus club.Dont deserve even on star for service,food or hygiene.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I went with my family to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We waited 10 minutes to have our table ready. The hostess sat us next to a booth that had a 5 year old with a mom too busy on her phone watching tik toc. The girl was peering over the booth, invading our privacy. She was quite rude, noisy and the last straw was her sneezing on my neck. We nicely asked the waitress to move us. It was taking a long time and the bratty girl started making more disruptive noises while the mom was tik toccing away. I stood up and was about to leave and finally someone else moved us right away. Later, my wife noticed that I must have had a dozen fruit flies in my red wine (her glass was clean)??? I didnt want to let the waitress know because she didnt respond fast enough with the classy mom and her bratty kid. Our celebration was ruined. The next day, I contacted the Delta restaurant. I was hoping to talk in detail that workers should seat guests according to maturity. It has been more than 10 days and no one has contacted me. We spent a lot and I left a large tip. I guess I am the fool....

Just found out new policy they will not allow you to enter if you have been drinking but will serve people as much as you can drink inside not even food

Cactus Club Cafe is always a fantastic choice for a meal. The ambiance is modern and stylish, making it perfect for anything from a casual lunch to a special night out. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and packed with flavor. I particularly love their signature dishes like the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Tuna Stack both are consistently delicious. The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Whether youre there for the food, the cocktails, or the overall experience, Cactus Club Cafe never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Not sure what s happening with this location s take out. We ve had multiple order issues the last few times. Firstly, the food hasn t been anywhere near fresh. Cactus is 10 mins away from our house, food shouldn t be stone cold when it arrives. Clearly, they let the food sit there for a while. Just the taste of the food has been off as well. Issues include items missing, I ve had issues with the lettuce wraps everytime they re ordered. No lettuce, no sauce, tofu instead of chicken, there s always something. You shouldn t be messing up one of your most popular items consistently. In addition, some food is undercooked and rushed. How do you seriously mess up fries of all things? I know the McDonald s down the road wouldn t mess fries up. Quality control for take out orders needs to be in place, you should have a dedicated staff member making sure all items are present in order, order is fresh (hasn t been sitting there for 30 minutes before going out), and orders are complete in a timely manner. Larger issue at hand is cactus should have another location in Surrey and this location is overworked. At least another take-out only location that s just a kitchen with a pickup window (similar to what they did in Langley) is a big need in this city. I felt sick after eating the chicken wraps and so did my sister with tofu bowl. Neither of us finished our food. This is the third time we ve called and complained, so hopefully a Google review is heard and changes are made.

Great customer service experience

Went for 2 hours, had 2 drinks each, 2 pickle back shots, as well as 3 appetizers, and the bald guy who works there called the police. Got pulled over 2 blocks away, only to read under the limit. I used to work at this location, and will never spend my money there again

Had a birthday tonight and the food was exceptional. Our waitress Ashlyn was so attentive and caring and had such a positive energy. Our food and drinks were delicious and happy hour makes it all the better. Hats off to the kitchen staff as well!! Thank you. We come often to celebrate birthdays . Just a bit loud with the music but thats minor still qa great time ! We will be back.

Im coming to this place from last 5 years but yesterday I got the best service ever. Natasha was really great and helped us throughout our dining experience. She made sure we were comfortable, helped us picking food and drinks according to our preference. She was fast and very attentive. Our drinks were on time, food was perfectly done. Clearance, crumbing and everything was done properly by her. I never got this good service from this place ever. Natasha made our day and may this pretty lady achieves everything she is working hard for .

Fantastic food at this location today! Usually love the service but today we paid our bill and as we were leaving our server stopped us to say they had charged us the wrong bill. We were asked to wait which of course we did. They took a long time sorting this out so we had to cancel our Uber. When the manager finally came she had refunded our original bill and now was charging the correct bill. There was no sincere apologies for our time or their mistake. Very disappointed in our experience today.

Ive always been so happy with the service at every Cactus location Ive been to, but todays experience just raised the bar for one of the best Cactus experience Ive ever had. Gwyneth L was our server and she did an amazing job serving us. She was really sweet and kind and was super helpful in making my birthday dinner the best yet. If I could give an honest rating, it would be 1000/10. What an amazing night! Thank you Gwyneth and to the rest of the Cactus Scott Road team! Keep up the amazing work!

I was so well taken care of by Adriana this past Friday. She went above and beyond with her service and really made us all feel like we were at home. Seriously the best server I have ever had!!! She is amazing.

Im a very particular person, and I dont like bland, flavorless food. I like certain things, and Cactus Club is one of the very few places that I chose to dine. 9 out of 10 times, when I dine out, I go to the CCC. Ive mostly gone to the Scotts Road and Langley ones and once at Canada Place, Vancouver. The staff at Scotts Road is very friendly and welcoming. The bartenders are really sweet, as I mostly sit at the bar. They always strike up a conversation and ask about my day. I really appreciate that because sometimes people are going through a lot and just want someone to have a little chat with, even if that person is a stranger and doesnt care. My favorite drink is the Peach Bellini, I have it every time I visit. They have the best Peach Bellini. I am a sucker for eating the same thing over and over. The meal I usually have is the SPAGHETTI PORTOFINO, and on cheat days, the mini chicken sandwiches and truffle fries. The food is good, and they are consistent with flavors and taste, which I like. The environment is warm, clean, and inviting. 10 out of 10, I recommend!

Amazing food and ambience. What made me give this review is Shane W. She was phenomenal. We were new to cuisine. She made sure we were comfortable and extremely patient with us. Understood what our dietary needs were and recommend food according to that. A masterclass service by her.

I had to delete my last review which was 5 stars across the board (I ve always loved this delta cactus club. We call it our headquarters) just so I could leave another review. I have been a regular at this specific delta cactus club for 16 years. And I worked there 14 years ago. For the first time ever I was told by the manager(temporary manager(Sunny) from Langley) that me and my friend were cut off and we won t be served anymore booze. Not cuz we were drunk, but because we had been there for a long time and have been drinking the whole time. We were not driving or doing anything unsafe or anything to disrupt the rest of the patrons there. We had spent a lot of money when we got our bill earlier and were spending even more afterwards. Until I got a tap on the shoulder and I was told by sunny we can t serve you anymore. I didn t make any fuss, I just shook his hand and said actually? Loll. Ok that s fine. We are. Gonna head out in a couple of minutes I have been a longtime a loyal customer of delta cactus club. And this has left the most sour taste in my mouth. All of the staff there are amazing. Hostesses. Servers. Bartenders. Etc . But from here on out, after 16 years of loyalty and 16 years of coming to cactus club delta I have zero interest of going back. I d rather go do a different cactus like white rock or Burnaby. But after tonight s experience, I d rather go to earls. Or browns. Or tap and barrel. I d even go to One20 pub down the street over delta cactus club. Shoutout Sunny.

Service is so so, food is only ok, and it is very expensive. Seems to be a recurring theme with my reviews but it s hard to find value in a 22$ burger. Would come back to eat here.

Went in during spring break with my kids was offered a dessert free of charge but was charged for it and didn t complain. Asked server for straws, had to remind her. Was not offered refills for water. Today we ordered food in for Mother s Day and they did not put chicken in, had ordered with the med bowl. Called to advise they missed the chicken and have been on hold for 25 minutes and can no longer hold. Front desk should have asked for my number and advised a manager would call back if they couldn t correct what happened.

We did not even get a chance to order food we were denied service after the server asked how our night was and we said we had been watching the Canucks game at a pub.

Went here for my birthday on Easter. We had a reservation. Was not disappointed at all.

The place was so cozy and clean. Been to many cactus club cafe but this is the one i liked most so far, and our server forgot his name but he was to attentive and sweet.( Recommend )

Dine in experience - No one was there to take order for 15 mins, place was busy as usual. After a long wait food arrived with cold fries, asked for soy sauce for prawn crunch rolls, received after 30 mins when the food got cold. I would recommend to stay away from this location rest are still operating good. Placed an order for take out, got message order ready for pickup, arrived for pickup, front customer service lady was like if you placed an order online you can pickup from the window. Was standing 10 minutes at the window, no one there to help. Why would you ask your customers to stand outside when you can t help them with an order properly and raising brows for your own fault ? Come on its Cactus, service deserves to be better.

Worst take out. I am a vegetarian, ordered a garden burger of course meat patty with bacon what a treat! Don t forget the side of raw truffle fries completely uncooked. We called back to complain all they offered was to remake the order and go all the way there to pick it up, not to mention they hung up 3 times before finally solving my issue. Do yourself a favour, save the money and never get take out from this location of cactus club.

We went for the Vancouver eat out festival. Food was good, timing between the dishes were somewhat longer but still good.

Food/drink was just ok. Not great for the price. Truffle parm chicken had barely any truffle flavour and no parm flavour at all, very fiew pieces of gnocchi and sauce was way too runny. Fish tacos tasted great but the tortilla was too soft and mushy like the Dempsters brand ones from the grocery store. Ravioli was good but shrimp was overcooked. I could tell it was left under the heat lamp a little too long before it came out to the table as the corners of the pasta had dried out a bit. Whisky Sour had very little foam that disappeared quickly, either due to not enough egg whites or bartender using an unclean shaker . Espresso martini was good. Good ambiance but food quality was definitely dissapointing.

Great food and service!

The service was okay. They were very busy. The place was very noisy and very dark. We had to use our phone flashlights to see the menu. We were placed at a tiny table right next to a very big and noisy table. Lots of other larger tables but we got put at the kids table. All of that would be okay but looking at the menu, there was nothing interesting. Very disappointing experience.

Cactus club is just like its name, hard/spiky from outside but soft from inside. The outer appearance seems so intimidating and luxurious but from inside it is so simple and full of generous people who are there to serve you. I went there for an interview and I just fell in love with this place all over again. I always say this place is so vibrant and full of happiness. Customers also love coming here. The staff is so helpful and polite. I just love it and I will keep praising this place. I am a positive person who loves positive vibes and this place is full of it. I wish to be a part of this so badly.

Generally they have great food but twice i had a hair in my food, so that was bit disappointing and disturbing but management was super apologetic and took the meal with the hair in it off the menu and offered to let me order anything off the menu for free but who wants to eat after pulling someones hair out of there mouth

My boyfriend and I come here as a last minute date night that we haven t been able to go one for a while and it was the best cactus club experience we ve ever had. It s my favourite restaurant but nothing could top this night. The food was amazing, my boyfriend ordered the millionaire steak and said it was the best one he s ever had (the man loves his steak) and I ordered the mini burgers which were also amazing. Our server Cam was awesome, he was so attentive, had such a great attitude and was absolutely wonderful to talk to. This man definitely deserves a raise, he made our night so much better than we expected. Thanks Cactus and thanks Cam! New favourite location:) Kid-friendliness: Very lively environment

Mezcal Margarita was excellent! Always love the prawn crunch! Blacked chicken was awesome! Key lime pie for two / delicious! Our server ( NAT - in the lounge ) was lovely We took advantage of the Happy Hour and were very pleased! We can always count on a great evening at Cactus! Thanks

Great clean location staff was friendly. My server Jasmine A was very polite with great service going above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our meals. Food was great. Definitely recommend this location.

We visited the Cactus Club Cafe to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was our first visit and a Friday night. We spent roughly $40 a person, this included dinner, shared desserts, and 1-2 adult beverages per each. Make reservations in advance to avoid a lengthy wait. The food was really delicious. The drinks were great. Its incredibly loud with the people and music. We managed conversations through the noise. The service was great. The birthday guy was gifted dessert on the house. We had a great visit. We drove nearly 2 hours to get here. It was a special trip for us. I would make plans to go back again.

I came in for a quick meal at Delta Cactus. The level of service Cameron & Ishaan provided us was beyond satisfactory. Truly an amazing experience these 2 provided for our table. Thank you once again for ya ll hospitality. Best Cactus experience to date.

Overall good service and great food. Found a hair in our meal.. but the manager and server handled it well and were really kind and apologetic.

The food has always been good and I am so glad my favourite appetizer Tuna stack is back. Don t know who at the first place made the decision to take it off the menu. I always like the ambience. I would give service 5 star if we got the booth seats. We were told nobody served the booth area even though there were plenty of booth seats available. Guess lack of staff? It is getting much pricier nowadays. .

Not an Amazing night spent at Cactus Delta location. Ordered Schezwan Chicken Lettuce wrap with Extra Chicken and Extra Peanuts. First time, the Chicken was not breaded( the usual comes with lettuce wrap), it s was Chicken Breast Sauté with the sauce. When we sent it back and it came back again but without any peanuts in it. Jessica was the Manager and I let her know about it. Service also was an Issue, after we finish eating our Truffle Fries, the Server Alisha asked if we need anything else. Truffle Fries were warm and soggy.

Horrendous service at the North Delta location. That Manger needs to be fired! Staff are standing around while we can see our drinks sitting waiting to be delivered. Left after we found a hair in our kale salad. Went across the street to the Keg...highly recommend going there instead! Reminded me why I dont frequent Cactus Club. They hire pretty ladies who have no interest or care in providing service!!

Pretty good food, truffle fries were really good. I had the crispy chicken burger with bacon

We went here a couple weeks ago. One of the people in my party was going to get the truffle Parmesan chicken and simply wanted to substitute the gnocchi for mashed potatoes as they do not like gnocchi the waitress then said she had to go ask the kitchen and came back and informed us that this is not a possibility, I found it very odd that a restaurant could simply not substitute something as simple as that and felt that was very strange and not very accommodating to the customer. I ve been here several times and never had an issue, but this just left a bad taste in my mouth not sure I ll go back , poor customer service, and my opinion not trying to keep their customers Happy with a simple request.

Went for anniversary lunch - the hostess was super nice (don t remember her name )- the ambience is good - the burger was amazing , teriyaki chicken had more rice and less chicken - can increase the portion size - good value specially during happy hour

I came in to Cactus Delta tonight to grab a drink at the bar after work, my experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Cam Nessman was bartending and made me feel so welcome and so at home, will be visiting here again!

We are a regular. But I been so disappointed lately. I ordered tea to go with my dessert. So they brought me. Sticks to stir my tea. This is not MacDonalds. What the hell!! And the water was cold. I think I had enough. The girls are very nice, but not enough trained!!! I feel this would be my last time with cactus club!
