We walk to the location. Very small but huge for my partner and I as we comment on how many orders go out by door to door services as we St and get personal service with treats that do not come with couriers. I still like service to my home but we need fresh air! Parking: Do not park in front of the restaurant door as there is no public parking and it is only intended for pickups. Parking is plenty at 64th and Scott Road Delta Side with lots of other shopping pleasures!

Ordering ahead seems pointless here. Despite the friendly staff and tasty food worthy of dining in, waiting over 20 minutes even after pre-ordering an hour ahead is just ridiculous.

Amazing fresh tasting sushi! We love the Rock and roll sushi roll, so delicious and a nice spice to it. The chicken yakisoba is out of this world. I don t know how you make the chicken so delicious but it truly is. Super friendly staff. Totally recommend Sushi Wara

This place just happened to be on our way home. I m glad we stopped to try it. Quality service, polite staff. It is a small place tucked in the corner behind browns. Quaint little place. The food itself was delicious and came out at a timely manner. The maki rolls are simple and delicious. We ordered one special it was huge and full of flavour and texture. Ordered here many times via UberEats I had a large order of; Tuna Maki Beef Yakisoba Beef Teriyaki Don Deep fried spicy tuna roll Negitoro Maki The sushi tasted great (as always) I ran into an odd problem of feeling a bit dizzy / nausea after having the deep fried spicy tuna roll, I think it may be because it was deep fried? I will not be ordering this again. Beef Teriyaki don was really good, perfect amount of rice and beef ratio! Tuna Maki and Negitoro Maki was excellent as always - I wish they gave me a bit more wasabi as my order was large. The Beef Yakisoba was okay, the noodles were actually quite bloated and clumped together like a big ball (probably my fault since ordering noodles via delivery is a bad idea)

Had the salmon cone 4 and spicy tuna cone 1 service was fine music was good though not what I usu. listen to only recognized one song they were doing a decent business at 3 PM. No problem parking my RV it is in a mall complex at 64 Ave. and Scott Rd.

Beautiful spot, the folks that run this place are brilliant. Great service and the chefs are incredible. If you havent gone here to sit down and eat, Id recommend it.

Best yam tempura and the fact that I can get soy wraps instead of seaweed for my vegetarian sushi is amazing. Highly recommend! My go-to always <3

Came here for lunch the dishes we ordered were very tasty with good size portions. Our server was polite and attentive brining our dishes in an appropriate sequence. Everything was great but the seaweed salad was seasoned perfectly. Not a large establishment however very cosy. I m always one to CAREFULLY read reviews on google before I order on food delivery apps. I ordered a deep fried Cali roll like I always get, edamame, two miso soups, vegetable tempura, and my 4 year old son loves sushi and always begs me to order it for him so he gets the cucumber roll. The same night my son can t stop puking and can t eat anything because his stomach is sore and aching, now I am dealing with the same symptoms. Please don t order from here because we got food poisoning!!! :(

I have to say that I was quite disappointed with this place. Been living here for 10 years and finally got to try. The portion for the spicy chirashi don was quite small, sashimi was not super fresh and the sushi rice was likely undercooked as it was quite hard. Some pieces of the cucumber were also wilted. The wasabi has this weird green color to it and parts of it were dry?! I would definitely not recommend this place.

First time went for dinner on happy Friday at around 7:45 pm , one table was occupied by that time. Ordered nabeyaki udon, tempura, delux assorted sushi, and delux chawasi don. Tempura is good with normal standard, sushi and sashimi is average quality. However, Sushi rice taste a bit salty compare with standard sushi rice . Nabeyaki udon is below average , as it didn t come with a pot, which should be the key feature of nabeyaki and it came with a plastic bowl the chicken meat with the udon tasted like kept in freezer for long time

We ordered off of Skip for dinner and the food wasn t too bad, just tasted like generic sushi. That was until I bit into my roll and pulled out a long hair from my food. It completely ruined the meal for myself and my partner and we couldn t have another bite as we didn t know if anything else had hair in it. Will never order here again, definitely not following some health guidelines.

Ordered for the first time off Skip. They got each item I ordered wrong (missed ingredients, for example they forgot to put mango into my mango roll ). My roll was not cut properly so it was just a large cylinder that couldn t be pulled apart. AND I AM STOMACH SICK THE NEXT DAY. do NOT order from here!! Cheap but bad on your stomach, cold, poor preparation and poor quality.

Ordered as a treat for our Valentines dinner. Very disappointed. They forgot the sauce on the teriyaki beef dinner, the gyoza was dry and tasted as if it had been sitting out for a long time as well as the black rice. We paid for extra vegetables but that means only extra cabbage, not a selection of vegetables as stated. When we complained we were just told thanks for the feedback. Overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately I would not go back and do not recommend this place. There is too much competition to waste money and time on this place.

Consistently good food and very nice staff. Update: I had to change my review from 4/5 to 5/5 stars because of how great the food is. Ive ordered regularly over the past few months and every time its quality. The chicken teriyaki don is a favorite, chicken is freshly grilled, hot, succulent and flavorful, large portions. Hit or miss place. I forgot to add spicy mayo and remembered just as when I was leaving. I asked if I could add it now and I was ready to pay, but they said I couldnt because the transaction was too small...I spent 50$ and they could not give it to me for .75 cents. I understand its still .75 cents, but I was literally willing to pay, but I only had my visa. I did not need to order more food to just get the spicy mayo. Very disappointed in the customer service.

Terrible food and a little expensive

I went in to pick up an order...this people were so rude I canceled my order on the spot. I mean incredibly rude. When I told them they were rude the chef literally waved me out of the store, I mean waved me out. No apology nothing, he just said ok ok go while waving me out. I m sitting in the parking lot writing this review that s how jarring of rudeness I just received. Zero Stars if I could give it

This was probably the best sushi I have had in 10 years. My 6 year old inhaled every bite of her huge California roll. My sashimi was beyond fresh- what a treat for an amazing price.

What a disrespectful owner, he doesnt own up to anything, eating and answering customers shows bad sanitization. The owner does not own up to the parking lot and his delivery drivers parking in handicap spots and blocking the parking lot outside his restaurant. Deliveries in the middle of the day. Its not a loading dock. He blocks the parking lot, and so patrons dont get to thier restaurant just waiting for him. He Threatened to call the police when I spoke to him about, the hygiene is subpar

I got the deluxe chirashi and it wasnt good. The good part is the portions. It came with 15 pieces of assorted sashimi. The bad part is the sushi rice was cold and hard. And some of the sashimi was still thawing. In my opinion, you cant run a sushi restaurant if you cant get your rice perfect everytime.

Sushi wara has kept me well fed with beautifuly cooked Hamachi Kama and some specially made rolls. While recovering from a medical problem the staff helped to make my life easier by supplying me with excellent food and service. They even helped to make a special style vegetable roll to help with the amount of rice I was consuming. I would have had a very difficult recovery period without them. I eat with them 2 or 3 times a week, minimum. Thank you Sushi wara.

I ve been coming to Sushi Wara for years since they opened. They are my favourite place to go for sushi in Surrey. The restaurant has changed in ownership since they opened but the quality of the food and the service has not wavered. I recommend the popcorn shrimp delight and popcorn shrimp special roll if you want to try something unique. I find their portion sizes for salmon sashimi very generous as well. Side note: In the first while when they opened, you would be greeted in unison by the staff upon entering the restaurant and I think they stopped because a couple people found it disruptive. I just want to say that I LOVED this because it created such an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere. Bring this back if possible!

Tasty sushi with great and friendly service. I ordered Spicy Salmon And Tuna Don. The fish was tasty and pretty fresh and I loved their spicy sauce. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Great sushi. Very frustrated that they have a sign outside that says last call for dine-in is 9pm and last call for take-out is 9:15 pm, but twice now would not serve me when I arrived at 8:45. Even for take out.

The tuna in the tuna maki tasted gross and I m not picky at all.. the kappa roll was below average. The dragon roll was delicious though..

This used to be my go to place for sushi but the last 2 times they got my order wrong through Skip. First time I didnt care but the second time I had to call. I was told that I had to reorder something extra through Skip the dishes so they can send me the correct order. They tried to put the blame on the drive for getting the order wrong . If I want to have my dinner I have to spend more money to re order something else on their menu plus the delivery and tip for the driver !!! What ever happened to good customer service .. oh and that was the manager who told me that there was nothing more they could offer me and than hung up. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I spent over 30$ and didnt even get my dinner !

My last experience with Sushi Wara was atrocious. I have gone here for years and never again. In an effort to support local business, we put in a large order through Skip the Dishes for Sushi Wara. When the order was delivered Sushi Wara forgot my sons teriyaki chicken and rice ( the only thing he eats). They didnt believe my husband when he called to ask for the chicken.Then they offered a refund which we declined. Once off the phone, I went to pick it up and they questioned me in an accusatory way assuming that it was put in the bags because their employee remembered putting it in. I asked if they are calling me a liar? I explained I would not have left my house, paid for Skip the Dishes to deliver the food only to drive down there to pick up my sons dinner that he didnt receive. Completely unacceptable service and never will I go there again.

A little pricey but the food is good. I find the special rolls tend to have too much sauce on them, usually ask for light sauce.

The service was very friendly the fish itself was flavourful and fresh... however it seemed as if the rice on the rolls were a day old. The sushi rice did not seem fresh and almost has a dried hard texture to it.

Food was OK. Took FOREVER to get our order. We went 2.5 hours before our movie and we almost missed it because it took so long to get our orders. The to-go and skip the dishes orders got priority.

I have been to this restaurant many times. However, the last few times I was here I felt really unwelcomed and the waitress cleaned tables rather than helping us. I had to walk out of the restaurant because the waitress refused to attend to my order. Based on service alone, I would give this place a 0/5 if I could. I will not be coming to Sushi Wara anymore.

The food was very enjoyable id like to point out. But when I placed the order for take out the server was really rude. I ordered a couple appetizers and my husbands meal. When I ordered my roll I asked if there was anyway to keep the spicy tuna that is supposed to be on the roll separate or removed completely. The server began to question my decision saying I am wasting my money. So I said okay can I have it on the side? She again laughed and said the presentation would be ugly with an attitude. I explained to her I am pregnant and I choose not to eat raw fish during this time. I think the staff need to learn customer service. I was very polite to her from the beginning. I feel that if Im going to pay for the food and Im eating the food I shouldnt be put down for my requests.

Its the first time we have been there, and will be the last time. We came with our one year old baby. Although there are still at least 4 tables available, the waitress arranged a table close to the door and washroom. We was worried the baby might get cold because the seats is too close to the door. The waitress refused our request for switching the table. We felt like we were not welcomed, so we walked away.

I ordered around 8:30 pm and they said the order will be ready in 30 minutes but after 30 minutes my order got cancelled by itself and they stopped responding to phone calls. Lol

We had a great meal a Sushi Wara! The staff was friendly and helpful when they could be. They were busy and not able to make it to our table very quickly. The space is tiny so be sure to check ahead if you plan to eat there. They seemed to be doing a lot of take out orders. We enjoyed the meal and wouldnt hesitate to return.

Really impressed with their assortment of sushi and the quality. I ordered a bunch of different things that Ive never had before and they were all very tasty and well presented. The prices are really reasonable and staff were friendly and attentive.

{Update} Gave 1 star for the worst service. There is a young Asian girl with glasses, one of the rudest servers Ive seen. My uncle and I ordered a bunch of Nigiri sushi and sashimi --- the presentation and quality of the seafood is not there anymore after the new management came, yet things have become more expensive. Now the waitress made our experience even worse. When I first went in, she was chatting with someone on the phone ON SPEAKER IN KOREAN. Even when she led me to my seat, she was still holding the phone chatting. In middle of our order when we asked for fresh hot tea (because the tea served was not hot/got cold), she repeated my question multiple times and looked at me in a way someone would look down on another. I could feel her rolling her eyes. Even my old uncle could feel her frustration. Later on after we paid, I stood at the bar waiting for uncle, she said excuse me in one of those most mocking ways. She just made me feel so uncomfortable I will never return again. For customers who have ordered that much amount of food for that much value, we dont deserve to be treated like this. Someone like her should definitely be fired. Best sushi in town. Staffs are super friendly. Amazing services. Always try to make food as fast as they can with best quality and attention to details. Love every part of this restaurant! Our familys favourite place.

Ive only ever had take out so this review is for the food only. The Sushi here is very good but a little pricey in my opinion. You can order Sushi from other places near here for a bit less that is just as good if not better. I also wish they had lunch bento boxes like most of their competitors. All that being said, Sushi wara is still a great place to get sushi and I doubt youll be disappointed with the food itself. I cant say anything about the dine-in experience, but when I went to pick up my order, everyone was super friendly. Overall, I recommend it.

Weve eaten at this location several times over the past 5 years. Its walking distance from the condo which is a bonus. But the reason we frequent Sushi Wara is their menu is full of great choices, the food is FRESH and delicious!!! Its obviously a family-run business and they take pride in great Customer Service.

This sushi place is only a short walk away from home so I always go here whenever I m craving for sushi; and each visit does not disappoint. This place has quite a lot of choices on their menu to choose from such as sushi roles, bento boxes and assorted sushi platters. But most of the time I order chicken bento and oh boy their chicken be delicious. It s cooked to my liking with a nice crispy skin finish glazed with generous amount of teriyaki sauce. Aside the food being relish, the staff are very welcoming and they check on from time to time to ensure everything is okay like refilling your glass of water or tea. I would definitely recommend this place! Plenty of choices, delicious food and friendly staff plus it has good choice of background music.

This little gem blows my mind every time. Fresh tasting, amazing, no, incredible presentation! Found it by accident looking for sushi and almost ended up in a chain restaurant. (Next door ). This place should be called Sushi Amazing. Its SO GOOD here! All the specialty rolls are off the charts good..! Amazing for a really great price. Honestly this is the type of quality youd expect to find in Yaletown. Super friendly staff and weve never been disappointed once here. Eat here... Or rather dont ... its not a huge restaurant ... so if you dont go at least I know I wont have to wait for a seat. Go!

A nice little place. Good sushi, quick service & reasonable prices. Very convenient for take out.

Wow. Really tasty sushi that looked and felt (between the sticks and in my mouth) fresh. That staff was very pleasant and remained so even though my son broke a dish. The price for the quality is definately in the buyers favour. I will definately go back again. I recommend the rainbow roll - it came with a little tasty salad too.
