This is a Dieppe institution and can sometimes deliver a great experience and great food. But it is hit and miss. We had a great lunch here last year with friends, but this year we have been twice and somewhat disappointed. Also you have to beware that Sunday evening they have a very limited menu available. Understandable but a shame. Not a huge choice for vegetarians but there are some options. Beer and wine are good. Service is brasserie efficient most of the time and the kitchen turns out dishes promptly.
It was fine but they had a strange policy around one table which was empty but would not seat people there .
We came here on our first night in Dieppe, and we sat outside and soaked up the town. We ended up eating here and had a reasonable burger. The beer I had was exceptional (paix dieu)
To be clear from a location and ambience point of view this was one of the best restaurants in Dieppe and a short walk from my hotel. The beer, wine and food I had there were lovely. I felt immersed in cafe society here. I loved the people watching and the joie de vivre of the locals just living and loving life. I switched to paying by cash as it's so much easier to tip. Felt like it helped endear me to the staff a bit. They were all lovely but sometimes I felt like I was in the way. Surely it's natural to smile at a new customer and make them feel welcome? I think my experience was skewed because my 50th birthday, which I was celebrating in the town, fell on a Monday and as you will probably already know, the museum of Dieppe is open every day except Mondays and Tuesdays... The other weird thing is that the cafe name checks Edith Piaf et al. as previous visitors but they don't have guest WiFi??? Mystifying. However you must must must eat here it's a beautiful place. On my last morning in Dieppe I was having a coffee outside and an impromptu fish market was set up with the freshest selection of fish. It was brilliant. It made my holiday because in the UK we are so removed from our fish stocks. If only I could buy fish that was caught on the same day! Please do visit Cafe des Tribunaux. I loved it.
This was one of the amazing lunches I had in France. Staff lady was really nice and very helpful with her recommendations. The food was delicious, and the portions were big. The place is very classy and charming too. Deserves 10 out of 10.
The building is beautiful inside and out with plenty of space. The service was good and my wife said the hot chocolate was fantastic (we didn't eat, drinks only). The interior is simply stunning in a very French Cafe way - the vibe reminded me of cafe scenes in many French movies. I loved it.
We visited twice with varying results. Beautiful building inside and out in the hustle and bustle of the town. I would certainly recommend having breakfast and/or drinks on the terrace. Servers are quick and efficient and the experience is great. We did have lunch there as well during our stay and chose to eat inside and experience the interior of such a fantastic building. Service was not as good on that occasion and the Caesar salad was not the best.
We visited twice with slightly varying results. The weekday menu was excellent and varied however on a Sunday they have a much more limited choice that wouldn't draw me back for another visit. Thoroughly recommend the cheese though
After a day of visiting Dieppe, we chose to dine at the Café des Tribunaux, a very beautiful establishment located in the heart of the city. The large, particularly pleasant terrace offers an ideal setting for enjoying the bustling shopping streets of the city center while admiring the Puits-Salé. We started with a refreshing sangria a very pleasant surprise followed by a delicious salmon poke bowl and fish & chips, both well prepared. To end on a sweet note, we shared a tarte Tatin and a waffle with generous whipped cream. The service was friendly and attentive. The varied menu can satisfy all tastes, offering both French classics and more exotic dishes such as poke bowls. The portions are generous and the quality is there. Excellent value for money for a pleasant evening in a lovely setting.

Have a drink in the center of Dieppe on the terrace or inside.... You cant miss the Café des Tribunaux, which is always very busy. The welcome is warm, we come back with pleasure.

Reservation taken for 8:30 p.m. but we were forced to drink the aperitif at the same time as we ate because the cooks would have been unhappy to have to leave later according to the waiters! In these cases do not accept reservations at this time! Whats more, the requested cooking of the steaks and hamburgers was not respected and the dessert was taken quickly following the thoughts of the servers said out loud concerning the last customers still present in the restaurant. We can understand that you are tired of your day because we also work but dont forget that it is customers like us who make you live and a minimum of respect would have been welcome!!!

A beautiful institution, unmissable in Dieppe, the places are magnificent, what a pleasure to be there. It is a place steeped in history and full of identity. It s a shame that the drinks offered are not at all regional, a little too standardized in terms of beers, cider or other strong alcohols. Such a beautiful address deserves to highlight slightly more local and quality drinks, starting with beers or cider...
Ate here before Covid and it was fine, but has now considerably descended in food quality. Would have been better at McDonald s for the burger and my wife s moules seemed to have been cooked before and reheated. You can do better elsewhere for the price. Still got nice ambiance and service though.

While passing through Dieppe, I found this brasserie very nice, with dynamic and smiling staff. I was recommended the Camembert, actually very good and very well served.

TOURIST TRAP: Not only was the quality of the breakfast below par (the gravy not fresh, the coffee weak and the omelette not dressed), but we were also ripped off and we paid full price instead of the breakfast rate because the place did not have a croissant. could deliver more?! I found glasses in my laganne, upon asking they said they have problem in their kitchen team. We paid 245 euros for 11 of us , very very bad expérience. We saw the reviews and was very excited to taste the food, but found glasses and it was very dangereuse, imagine if I had eaten glasses, the waiter did not do anything and acted as if its not a big deal. People shud be careful before eating there, I do not understand how can à client get glasses in their food , never going there again in my life again

We had reservations for lunch on Saturday August 17th. Very satisfied with this lunch, with Quality products, especially the mussels with cream. Attentive and pleasant service staff. Very good quality/price ratio. Iconic Dieppe address to remember.

Café which seems nice with a pleasant terrace in summer, too bad the service is deplorable! I was very disappointed to see that alcoholic drinks were served to minors (Mojito) even though the very clear order from the server specified a Mojito without alcohol. Although the error is human, this in no way justifies this unacceptable incident. Imagine such an error with a customer allergic to a particular ingredient...Outrageous!

After having a coffee on the terrace, we decided to have Italian salad of the day and a waffle with chocolate, (half cold and a chocolate coulis), the next day diarrhea and stomach ache, which for such an establishment
An unmissable place, an atypical decor and particularly warm in rainy weather. On the sweet side, delicious and generous ice creams, to be enjoyed on the terrace but, better still, in the boxes on the ground floor or the small tables of a first floor designed as a circular cornice.
Not only are they professionals but they are helpful despite the workload and even if you only had a coffee!
