Please note: food allergies have not been taken into account! Although I mentioned my allergy to raw fruit, I was served a raw apple for dessert, which can cause swelling in my throat. Otherwise the meal, although simple and well executed, lacked a bit of surprise, which I found a bit of a shame. Edit: In response to your message, you will notice that there are raw apples in your dessert twice: on top in thin strips and a large slice of raw apple covered in chocolate in the middle. Rolling your eyes when someone tells you about allergies is unprofessional and can be very dangerous (respiratory arrest due to angioedema). In Dieppe, there is the kite festival and at Voiles d or, there is the fish on the plate festival. Barbu, monkfish, lobster, turbo, John Dory, skate... accompanied by original, tasty garnishes in a succession of fantastic dishes. As for the dessert made from red fruits including a coulis that we finished with our fingers discreetly!! Brief! Precise, creative and generous cuisine. Perfection in peace near a church on the cliff where we were able to witness a magical sunset, far from the hustle and bustle of the port of Dieppe!! The restaurant Les Voiles d Or was recommended to us by friends. After several phone calls, we were able to reserve a table for 2 people on Saturday October 1st at 8 p.m. We were staying in St Honoré, a half hour drive from Dieppe (we live in Brussels). On Saturday, we arrive there around 7:30 p.m. No light in the restaurant, but were not worried yet. After a short walk, at 8 p.m., still no light. We approach the restaurant, on the door, a note: exceptional closure (Corinne broke her wrist) reopening on 9/29/22 ?!? It s 10/1/22? I try the phone number, no answer, I leave a message. We had to find another restaurant, not easy on a Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m. (full, closed at 9 p.m. etc.) A pizzeria near our accommodation did the trick. Two days later, finally a reaction from the restaurant: I m sorry, I just got your message. I had an accident and the restaurant is closed. We only open on Thursday October 13th. Thank you for thinking of us. See you next time with pleasure. Too bad you didn t think of us!!! A minimum is to warn people in advance (yes, you had our telephone number because you called us back to confirm the reservation) This would have saved us an hour of driving as well as disappointment. Difficult to reach restaurant high on the Dieppe cliffs across town. Its worth driving there because the kitchen really deserves the effort. The Michelin star is a justified award for this cuisine based on local fish dishes. The dishes may be too copious that you leave completely and perhaps too full. What I remember most are the lobster salad as the first starter and the dessert with red fruit. The cheese cart is also an item that you only find unexpectedly. Tasty and well-priced wine list and professional service. Really worth it!! You shouldnt leave it for the price either. In Belgium, for this price, you will come out of a better brasserie satisfied. Glad we went, go for it!!

Restaurant which is well worth its star, the service was chaotic at the beginning (we were at the start of the compulsory CST). Once in place everything became pleasant in addition to a very good and fine meal.
