A pure delight and the owners are very nice, in addition to being very creative (visual and quality of the dishes at the Top). The room was infested with bedbugs, the extent of which we realized upon arrival in the room. all you had to do was look at the mattress. After refusing the room, we were clearly told that cancellation was impossible as well as reimbursement, without any apology from the owner... we had to call Booking so that they could request an exceptional reimbursement measure. I then had to send an email and call the hotel and its owner twice, who refused to give her last name, to request my refund...with no return 48 hours later. I then decided to reveal the horror of the hotel and the room in question in this comment. you must flee this establishment. The photos are very misleading because they hide the dirt and disrepair. You will also notice that the excellent comments are elusive as if they had been phoned.. so avoid Rooms: The rooms look good in the photo but are as spacious as possible and especially ours was infested with bedbugs, the traces of which on the box spring were very numerous, a sign of an already old and untreated infestation. Read the bad comments on the site and you will see it for yourself when customers describe their mishap. Noteworthy details: you cannot get your room before 5 p.m. so you are stuck if you want to change.. because it is often too late for another hotel....

I arrived on a Monday evening, located in the middle of the city. The breakfast is very substantial, yogurt, Nutella compote, croissant packs of cereals, juice, cake, finally something to make, (Catherine) the woman who takes care of it hotel reception breakfast etc.. is adorable, helpful and makes you want to come back..

After the warm welcome from the owner, we climbed a narrow staircase to access our small room which takes us back to a standing closer to what we had in the 80s than to 2020... Average bedding, fairly poor insulation from hallway noise and dated minimalist decor. The wifi doesnt work and we are told that the installation needs to be improved... Positive point: The room is clean and we are in the heart of the city. We are happy not to have paid the normal price of the room (90 ) thanks to a discount on the booking site because it really doesnt deserve it.

Right in the city center, easy to park (street behind much cheaper), Good value for money room, sufficient breakfast for the price. Finally, the city center is quiet and empty in the evening. Friendly welcome and very good restaurant as well as good value for money. Rooms: Standard, average TV, small but sufficient bathroom. There is a kettle with tea and free bottle of water.

We booked 1 night to relax as a couple. 2 hours drive from us. Arriving at 5 p.m. because its not possible to check in earlier (thats already scary!) unfortunately apartment on fire right next to the hotel. Dams, smoke, inaccessible hotel. I ask the manager what we do, if a refund is possible because it is not possible to stay there that night. He tells me its not my fault, my hotel has nothing, I dont reimburse anyone, check with booking. Oh yes because mr doesnt manage reservations. We wonder what he manages anyway. A nice little word saying that we were going to find a solution and that obviously we will do what is necessary to relocate us, would have been welcome. But no ! I knew from the surroundings (because yes, we had to manage to go to a bar to wait, manage ourselves by phone and email with booking), that there is almost no one left in his establishment. We understand better why. Believe me, this is to be avoided, if you want a night in a hotel spend 30 euros more and go elsewhere!!!!! The manager is not a businessman and even less friendly.

Indeed, 1 star. Not very friendly, my friend being Spanish I had to translate, no problem. I ask what their burgers are made of, they answer me classic, cheese, steak, uh... Yes, I suspect... I ask if there is salad uh yes yes I ask the remove and since I have to guess the ingredients myself I have pickles and tomatoes. Plus all the tables had bread except us. Its a symbol of courtesy, its not ours to beg for.

Value for money not up to the standard of 90th the room without breakfast...140 cm bed rare these days in hotels...and nauseating smell of rising sewage in the room supposedly caused by the tides and i.e. the only room in the hotel to have this problem 2/3 times a year and it must happen to us during our weekend... in short. Hotel well located in Dieppe but for the rest...clean but not to be submitted as a base. Ah yes breakfast 12th per person abused we went to the flunch 1.5 km 4th for 2 hot drinks and pastries.

Lunch taken on Saturday after the market for 4 people. Disappointing experience: - sea casserole with dried shrimp - overcooked soft-boiled eggs - filet mignon overcooked and drowned in sauce - hake (too much) heated in the microwave therefore with dried out edges - the pistachio and raspberry tartellette was ultimately a shortbread with raspberry jam and pistachio cream. Hotel upstairs, restaurant on the ground floor, exterior access via a small corridor so as not to have to cross the restaurant, our room was clean but no longer brand new, stains on the floor, a broken shower door A slightly yellowed ceiling... doesnt look like the photos on the site but for one night it works. Towel provided with soap, and small tea/coffee tray to quench your thirst without air conditioning! The temperature was limited in the room for 25 degrees outside, the bed was a little low for me and the mattress was quite soft, pillow ok, some TV channels skipped, toilet sticking to the shower limits comfort space. Breakfast was top croissant baguette jam Nutella cereal coffee tea orange juice... Paying parking nearby must be provided, parked 500m away, be careful on Saturday market day, parking prohibited in several streets. Rooms: Upstairs there is no elevator to avoid for those with reduced mobility.

Hotel ideally located, in the heart of the city, and a few steps from the coast. Concerning the hotels smiling welcome from our hostess, we would have liked to have been accompanied when going up to the room for a little presentation. In short, nothing bad. Clean room is comfortable. Very good bedding in any case in our room. We will come back to Dieppe, the city is really pretty.

We came for lunch with the family on Saturday July 29. Friendly welcome, good service and meals with fresh produce of very good value for money. The entrecôte, fries and homemade ratatouille were excellent. As for the gourmet coffee, also very good. Food and drinks: Fresh products, homemade fries ++

Very nice location right next to this magnificent church, the only downside is the parking spaces, everything is paying and quite expensive for 24 hours, so it is better to park at the beach which is not very far away. The rooms are very beautiful in an old charm. Bottle of water available, tea, kettle etc., plenty of storage for our belongings. Missing an elevator being housed on the top floor but it gave us a bit of sport in the end For the price it s a very good deal

We had a pleasant stay at the Grand Duquesne which is ideally located in the city center and a 10-minute walk from the train station. I would first like to pay tribute to the hotel employee who was present from our arrival to departure (Stéphanie), as Stéphanies welcome and sense of service are exceptional, she is the person who greatly contributed to our successful stay. If I may allow myself to give some advice to the hotel owner, make sure Mr. do everything to keep Stéphanie, you are a rare gem and I weigh my words carefully. As for the room, it was very spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, cupboard, armchair, ottoman, mirror, desk, 3 bedside lamps, a tray of conviviality (coffee, tea, water) and with for me a real plus, real cups and not plastic cups!!! The room was quiet, not a sound, we slept very well in top-notch bedding. The bathroom was clean and functional, shower products + soaps, 2 towels per person + a floor towel for after the shower, a trash can and a hair dryer. Another good point for me, the presence of a towel hanger for 2 towels adapted to the size of the towels and something to hang clothes on the door. The breakfast is ok, pastries, fresh breads, madeleines, pound cake, several jams, honey, spread, sweet & salted butter, ham, rosette, cheeses, dairy products & compotes, cereals, fruits, coffee, tea, chocolate , Juice. Lets now move on to the points for improvement to be precise and as honest as possible because there are some simple improvements that would be appreciated for an even better stay. The big minus of the stay, for me, is the fact that the hotel reception is closed from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday because we were not able to leave our suitcases at the hotel to visit the city without our luggage. Last point which is a personal taste, a greater diversity of bread would be appreciated, cereal bread, sandwich bread, sliced brioche and especially a toaster. These areas of improvement are in no way a hindrance to us returning to this hotel because we had a very good time and a pleasant stay. To conclude, thanks again to Stéphanie for her work, her welcome, her kindness and her good humor...see you soon.

What a disaster.... we had a dakotabox for an idyllic 2-day stay in a charming room.... already we cant return before 5 p.m. because no one was there, so at 7 p.m. we were going to go down for a drink because downstairs its a café... and no one is there anymore, we find ourselves alone in the hotel... if we can call it a hotel, 13 degrees in the room... bathroom 2 m² with a mini shower ... super small bed, cleanliness we dont even talk about it.... Had 2 lunch but the ham was blue... etc etc a shame really! We had to stay 2 nights and we had enough with one, we preferred to go home....

Visited this restaurant during the 1000 Alpine weekend which was great except for our meal, unripe tomatoes as a starter, mini andouillette which must have stayed in the oven half an hour too long with lentils that were very crunchy to eat followed by a flan pastry maker without dough taken out of a defrosted tray!!! And lets not talk about the wait between dishes (2 hours for no cuisine thats a lot) Really very disappointed, a shame because the setting is nice...

The location is quite central in Dieppe. Parking is a disaster. The rooms are renovated, but unfortunately the bathroom is not very clean. If you want to drag a large suitcase up 3 floors up the chicken ladder known as the stairs, it will be an adventure. The petit dejeuner hardly deserves the name. All in all too expensive for very basic accommodation. Positive: Hot shower water is great. Negative: Beds are way too small

Clean, nice, good service

I give two stars for the location. The hotel is absolutely not worth the price. This place is not suitable for families with children or disabled people. The room was dirty, there was a used plaster and clouds of dust under the bed, which we had to push against the wall. The toilet is all made of stone, there is disgusting water and sewage in the brush holder. The walls are probably made of paper, because you can clearly hear every word that the guests next to you say, not to mention the people walking up the stairs. On Sunday at 6 a.m. (!!!!!!) the fire alarm started blaring throughout the hotel for 11 minutes. No one from the staff bothered to move and inform the guests remaining in the rooms that it was just an error. Of course, you can forget about an apology in the form of coffee, because it is normal for the alarm to sound throughout the building. Wi-fi is not available in half of the building, as if a repeater could not be installed for 10 euros. And if you leave something at the hotel, the staff will take it and tell you that they didnt find anything. Never again and I suggest finding another place.

it was the herring and shell festival there were a lot of people..I agree, but, it was not that late, barely 1 p.m. and people were waiting who were sure of having a place , I was alone and they told me that I couldnt have a place since I was alone, thank you for the discrimination!! Propre, du thé, du café et des petites bouteilles se trouvaient dans la chambre. Matelas confortables, rhum arrangé ananas à prix correct et bon, petit déjeuner à prix raisonnable et copieux. We were robbed our room was rented the same day as our reservation on booking.com on Friday September 11th the boss didnt want to know anything we even had a confirmation email I dont recommend this hotel we left even no refund the boss should be careful with his random reservations he prefers to favor his customers who do not book with booking.com a reprimand would do him good I think

Superb weekend, welcoming room, very clean, warm personal welcome, excellent breakfast, to do again without hesitation

Not very warm welcome. No water in the room until 8:30 p.m. and no small compensation. Industrial breakfasts. We do not recommend.

Very good hotel room for 3 people

Very friendly welcome on arrival and on Sunday at breakfast, we were welcomed by a lovely woman with impeccable service! Charming hotel in a great location, next to the very pretty Saint Jacques church. Simple and elegant decor, very clean room and good quality bedding! We recommend, we feel really welcomed and not treated like tourists which is a bit the case in some local restaurants...

140cm bed a bit narrow. And Sunday breakfast from 8 a.m.... a little late, so I wont be able to tell you the quality...

We came for 3 days from Monday to Wednesday. We had an excellent stay, the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Superb room, very warm welcome.

Lots of character

The hotel has a great location and the staff are very nice, very helpful. The room was comfortable but would still need a good refresh, especially the bathroom (redoing the bathtub joints would not be a luxury). We spent 2 nights and I admit that we heard a lot of water in the pipes as well as our neighbors on the 2nd floor who were walking very noisy. If you sleep with earplugs it wont prevent you from sleeping, plus the bedding is very good. Special mention to the breakfast which is really good and varied. Good value for money which could be improved to make the experience even better.

Good location, spacious room, clean.. if you have young children or problems with the stairs, ask for the 1st floor (4 steep floors without an assessor).

Old shower... Almost no pressure in the water jet. Cabin with big gray scotch in it. Bedroom door which lets a lot of light through. Luckily I didnt have to pay and it was a gift.

Friendly welcome but cleanliness leaving something to be desired (toilets with urine). Very small sanitary facilities and shower without any pressure, only a trickle of water flows. Decent breakfast. A light in the hallway flashes all night.

Friendly welcome by two women within the establishment. Bar service completely correct. However, it is tarnished by young men who do not have the prerequisites to hold a position as a bartender or hotel receptionist (outfit, expression, etc.).

Superb hotel, very well received, very clean. The only downside is that we had a single bed each with my husband, so separated. Otherwise nothing to say, impeccable breakfast.

I stopped there to eat, I am extremely delighted and my partner also it was really very good and not expensive at all we were really very surprised by the quality of the meal which really deserves the 5 stars if all restaurants could be this good it would be fabulous thank you again for this moment

Nous avons uniquement déjeuner, et nous avons trouvé un très bon rapport qualité-prix, avec une cuisine maison, une belle présentation des assiettes, un dessert excellent comme un cheesecake au tiramisu fait maison. Petit bémol, certains légumes un peu trop cuit . Une note globale de 7,8/10 nous paraît objective. Essayez le bar au sel de Guérande , il est excellent.

Starter main course or main course dessert for less than 15th and starter main course dessert for less than 19th! All homemade. A superb discovery, this restaurant. Impeccable service, quiet place and even with family the childrens menu at 10th is perfect. In short, go there to eat good dishes with fresh fish vegetables. We recommend!

Hotel au Grand Duquesne is currently very disabled. Indeed, as Covid 19 is still relevant, only the Hotel service is available. You are entitled to your room and breakfast service. The person who receives you is very pleasant and helpful, and does everything possible to make your stay pleasant. Without restoration, its very sad. There will definitely be better days.

Excellent food super service reasonably priced

Beautiful city center hotel in the historic district of Dieppe. The morning breakfast has changed to a buffet format to surely meet the wishes of customers....

Quite nice, fast, clean and above all good! Small downside however: serving mayonnaise in a disposable plastic container is borderline a crime and even more so when you live by the sea which gives you the products you serve.

Nice little hotel
