La Marine in Dieppe

Establishment facing the port of DIEPPE. Despite the overall rather negative reviews, I made the deliberate choice to come in and have dinner. I had a friendly welcome, with a smile. Clean establishment, with a beautiful view of the port of DIEPPE. I chose the daily menu, rather than the menu. Not disappointed at all. A starter: crispy Camembert on a bed of salad. Adjusted temperature and quantity for a consistent daily menu. Followed by seafood sauerkraut served in a fondue pot. Here again, sufficient quantity for a refined daily menu. Very well made for a daily menu that has nothing to be ashamed of. On the other hand, a downside for dessert: an apple tartlet, a frozen product, but rather pleasant in the mouth. .

Coming as a couple to Dieppe to spend the weekend, we chose this Brasserie for our first evening, and we did well. We had a pleasant time. The welcome was really pleasant, with little care (small heating for our comfort). We really wanted a charcuterie and cheese board for an aperitif and we were very well served. We enjoyed ourselves throughout the meal. In terms of environment, we appreciated the view with the port and the quays at night. The room was quiet, which did us good. Price-wise, we enjoyed ourselves and I found the bill very reasonable. Thanks again to the whole team for this moment.

Be sure to check the bill before you settle it!!! On the way back from our holiday we ate fruits de mer here and one (1) cheese plate to finish. When paying we thought it was so expensive to dine on a piece of paper instead of a tablecloth, but we settled the bill. When we got home we noticed that we were charged for five (5) cheese plates! Because no email data is available, we have to leave this as is. I would certainly not recommend eating anything in La Marine and, if there is no other option, be sure to check the bill before paying it. We certainly wont be going back there.

Rather long service although there werent many people, very good mold and generous size. The only problem is that they sell dry gorgonzola ham molds but it tastes just like cream, theres a slice to die for inside... and you still have to look. The all-chocolate dessert is not good... and is not fresh at the moment. On the other hand, the apple cake was very good, but not the apple crumbulle which was at room temperature with mush underneath.

Ive never eaten such bad fries!!! They were baked for too short a period of time in poor quality fat. The only thing that was reasonably good about this restaurant is the view of the harbor. The burger was also extremely bad. The mussels were pretty good. So its best to stay away and dont eat there at all!!! There are definitely many better restaurants in Dieppe!!!

Terrible service!!! I order a hamburger while removing ingredients. Three times it came back and three times it was the same modified hamburger. In short, the meat had taken on the taste of things I didnt like. At the check I told the waiter that it was the same modified hamburger and he told me, laughing, that he knew that. I asked for rare meat and it was medium rare, the fries were not cooked but still raw. Restaurant quite noisy and expensive for what it is.

The only good thing are the tables right at the harbor. The food was ridiculous. Fish n Chips = small portion of fries and two small pieces of fish for , a small fish fillet with some vegetables and a bowl of mussels with onions and some wine... no salt, pepper, herbs etc... half was bad and that was served with it no bread but french fries. The service was ok but very hectic even though there wasnt much going on. All in all it was a failure.

First time I went to Dieppe and I find that the first restaurant makes you want to come back or not. My first restaurant and I already want to go back. The welcome is impeccable, the waiters/waitresses are responsive and attentive to our requests. The meals are delicious and generous. The service is fast, friendly and meets customer expectations. The quality/price ratio is correct ( 67.50 for a board, 2 burgers and 2 soft drinks). It s a restaurant that I could recommend with my eyes closed . I will happily come back here.

Came to see the French football team match with the Dieppe team. Disappointed with the service with an order with a beer, a coke and a charcuterie board. We used to come to this restaurant but there must have been a change of ownership and its a little less good. The service is amateurish but they are friendly. The fish pot is good but is small and it takes 25 minutes to get it because it is made to order. Which in a sense shows that it s homemade and that s pretty good. The disappointment is especially with the dessert. I asked for a tarte Tatin and I got half an apple cut into strips placed on a small piece of puff pastry. Nothing to do with a real tarte Tatin. On the other hand, the profiteroles seemed to be made with real fresh cabbage and not frozen ones. So we left feeling mixed.

The super hard and thick crepe makes me wonder who makes it, its famous crepes. We have already been to this restaurant several times and this will be the last time. Too expensive for so little. Really nothing exceptional. We had a Normandy escalope and a coastal salad. The salad is composed of smoked salmon, crumbled fresh salmon, tomatoes, fish terrine, pink shrimp. Hearty but simple.

A fuiiirrrr We sat on the terrace to have desserts, the waitress (lady with black and gray hair) refused to offer us the menu under the pretext that she did not have any but at the neighboring table she served them well, in in any case she lost customers we left straight away!!

Terrible! The bulots at Fruit de Mer are slimy, broken, and in my opinion not fresh every day. The host is uninterested in his guests and does not respond at all to a friendly request to provide us with cutlery. The bread is old and the mussels and fries are cold or lukewarm. They are not even asked if everything was to your liking or why not everything was eaten. If you dont want dessert, you immediately get the bill without the chance to order another drink. In short, not recommended!

Super good experience! We came to eat by chance because we had normally planned to eat right next door at the La Mouette à Vélo restaurant and ultimately we were literally thrown away (afraid of a large table? Or having to move one? ) without putting the forms in addition so we were right next door to the restaurant la marine and finally we were welcomed by Émilie who made every effort to set up a large table for us of 14 and always with a smile from start to finish ( for Emilie it wasnt a problem to move a few tables), super pleasant staff really the best! Very little wait, good plate... We love spending a moment like this So we recommend +++ Emilie thank you again

Simple, good cuisine with fresh produce. Very appreciable. The service could be a little more professional despite our waitress who was good. His colleague going around the other restaurants to denigrate them was a bit borderline...! The place is very nice with a view of the port.

Honestly not great. Normandy mussels without much flavor and without the mushrooms which were to be found. Insufficient numbers of fish soup croutons. Garnish of undercooked skate, hard potato and crunchy rice. The caramel cream tasteless and served in an unsuitable dish. No bread at the table. And when paying, there was no unfriendly person at the counter. The only positive point is a friendly and dynamic waitress.

Lors de notre séjour à Dieppe, nous avons été reçu chaleureusement dans ce restaurant. Le plateau de fruits de mer était absolument savoureux. Nous nous y sommes sentis vraiment bien. À tel point que nous y sommes retourné le lendemain soir. Nous avons rencontré un personnel attentif et très aimable. Les plats étaient vraiment délicieux. Nous lavons dit et nous tenons à lécrire : MERCI !

You have to test it at least once to give your opinion. Thats it for me and I know that I wont come back to it. The service is mediocre, staff not very friendly. We tested the menu. Starter: classic fish soup without extra and plate of charcuterie (melted butter is average anyway). Why not keep it cool? Dish: fries too oily and overcooked, decent piece of beef but you have to chew this lot of vein well. Do I tell you about bread? frankly it would be good not to serve it dry and therefore avoid cutting it in advance. I had to eat the cheese without bread because it crumbled under my fingers. Honestly disappointed

Terrible and unrepeatable experience made in Normandy. We gave one star only because it was not possible to avoid this too. Negative experience overall. Dirty restaurant, sloppy waiter eats his nails, touches his face, touches his hair while he is near the table for service..... continuing to serve undaunted, as if nothing had happened!!!!!! Place your thumb in the dish while serving. (leaving a footprint) is a sign of bad service . The waitress is no less sloppy too, given that during the service she approached a table where there was a dog, and began to pet it, then continued to serve the tables (ours included) without even washing her hands. ..... Terrible table service too. He practically takes away your plate, rudely dropping the dirty cutlery (when it should be changed every course) on the table. We requested mayonnaise, which has yet to arrive. Dirty toilet . Vomiting dishes, of a very poor standard...... from appetizers to desserts. Terrible and definitely very poor quality of food, nightmare cuisine change menu, clean more, change chef (in the worst low level restaurant, you eat better) change waiters. In short, it is well understood that we loudly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Always take the reviews into account, to avoid getting scammed like the one we got tonight.

A shame to speak to customers like this. I sit at the table set out for health reasons, well away from the table so as not to disturb. This is what the waiter said to me since you sat down before, on purpose you are going to wait and then if you are not happy you go elsewhere in a very unpleasant tone. Absolutely not commercial When you work with people there are things to say or not to say, in particular that the client is annoying and that if they are not happy they go elsewhere that it will not change anything for them. Big lack of respect for the people who make them work. Reason according to the owner: understaffed, its not just in this branch, we are all concerned and we make do without sending everyone away. Before allowing yourself to say something to customers, it would be helpful to take care of your behavior as a waiter
