We were a group of almost 10 people. We had impeccable service from the server. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. We received almost all our dishes at the same time and hot. Thanks to the whole team. Without hesitation, I recommend this restaurant!

It is a basic brunch place - average food and service. I go here frequently for my Sunday brunches. Atmosphere is good as there are lots of families and the usual hustle and bustle.

If I could give negative stars (note: less than zero) I WOULD. After merely 3.6 minutes of sitting down the waiter rushed us to select our food and was quite aggressive about it. I felt like I was being micro managed and constantly supervised in a way that encouraged us to leave as quickly as possible. After we finished eating and plates were cleared we were then asked to leave the restaurant by 3 different people simply so that they could fulfill their turnover quota (they explained why they were kicking us out..). It was completely inappropriate and ruined the entire dining experience imo. They were extremely curt with us. We are regulars at this restaurant and have never experienced this treatment before. We ve even developed kind friendships with some of the wait staff throughout the years so this came as a bit of a shock. Sufficed to say, i will NOT be returning nor recommending that anyone attend Petinos DDO from here on out. I d also like to add that we were there for 50min before being asked to leave by 3 separate individuals.

Thomas is a fantastic waiter and was only following rules from management. I brought in my own tea bag that helps me with menstrual cramps (Raspberry tea), which is not available from the restaurant. I was brought orange pekoe teas, which is included with the meal and was charged 2.75 for have had my tea in the hot water provided. It is a very weird and disappointing policy. So if you drink herbal tea, drink it at home.

We were a group of 7 who made a booking for 10 AM on Labour Day Monday. Some of us drive 100km to connect with friend. By 1115 AM the host and the waitress told us we had to leave because they had a line up. I am sorry but we made a reservation and this was the 4th time we had been to this restaurant we always were there for 3 to 4 hours. We were all very offended. Shame on you.

I had the worst service ever at this Petinos Brunch location. The lady with blonde hair treated me and my children terribly, as if she was paying for our meals. She was incredibly rude and mean, ruining my childs birthday. Its a shame theres no option to give a negative rating - zero. I will never return to this restaurant or any other Petinos Brunch location. Shame on you for such poor customer service. I will check my review every day to see if its still there, and if you remove it, I will continue writing bad reviews until you admit your horrible mistakes. I want the world to see how terrible you can be to kids and to any human being.

I came here a few months ago with a friend, and the service was great (it was super busy) along with the food. Unfortunately this time, I decided to bring my young daughter to have breakfast, I walk in and it s not super busy, the hostess was super friendly and seated us, looked through the menu then we waited, and waited, and waited.. 25 minutes later as my waiter chit chatted and offered people refills among other things, completely disregarded us.. never came by to ask if we were ready to order even with menus to the side, closed. My young daughter, who was hungry had no more patience after almost a half an hour waiting, so we decided to leave, and our waiter made no effort to ask if everything was ok or find out what the issue was. I have no problem waiting, but when I see my waiter off to the side just talking it s almost as if we were invisible. I will try again some other time, maybe it is an off day.

2021 : Great friendly service, huge portions of tasty food. 2022 : Amended to reflect 5 stars for service. Very attentive and fast. I went twice in the last three days, the second time for a birthday breakfast; and a quick hint at the host upon entry braught a wonderful little birthday surprise for my friend without any further prompting; Coffee top ups, check ins, plentiful, good food..wonderful experience 2024 : March break Friday, got up early to catch the Early Bird special, just to have our server Niko somehow screw up our order and as an amendment charge full price minus 10%. This in itself is not a problem, but he didnt own up to it, said we came in too late. (We entered the restaurant at 8h14, ordered our food within the next 5 minutes, the special is good until 8h30). It was full and there didnt seem to be enough staff, which makes me understand why our food arrived almost cold. But as it is, with the way the service was handled today, this will be our last visit for a while.

I had been going to Petinos since they opened. A few years ago I stopped going since the owners had changed and I found that the meals were not the same. The portion size was much smaller so I stopped going. Then, today, I decided to go with my wife and see if things had improved. To my surprise they had greatly improved due to the new owner, Tracey. The portions were much bigger. We ordered two eggs and received two eggs. We ordered potatoes and received a very generous portion. Petinos was back to being the excellent restaurant I remember. We enjoyed the food and our entertaining waiter, Sylvain. You could see the smile on this face through the mask. I do recommend Petinos. It is back to being the great breakfast and lunch restaurant it once was and maybe more so. Returned again and this time we were served by Jerry. Very fast, excellent service.

Went for breakfast, reato was empty, my friend and I waited 30mins for a cold coffee and a hot orange juice. Got our food like almost an hour later potatoes were cold and found a black hair in my eggs(my best friend and I are blonds) I called the waiter took 10 mins because there were just playing on there phones. Showed them my food, asked me if I wanted a new plate. I said no because I don t trust the kitchen at this point and we lost our appetite. When I asked for my bill they actually charged me my cold coffee and got juice that we did not drink as charged me my plate which I only had 2 patatoes and a bit of eggs. Was shocked that they charged me and shocked that the waiter did not go get the manager to talk to me and not even an apology from anyone. Stay away from petinos West Island worst expierence ever. And I used to go all the time it was out brunch place every few weeks to catch up, will def look for somewhere else to go now.

I had the avocado toast with mixed fruit (pineapple, berries, etc.), with home fries and scrambled eggs. It was delectable and the portions were very large. So big in fact, that I split the dish with my coworker. I will return asap. The staff was very friendly and the service was terrific. My other coworkers had a traditional breakfast with sausage, crepes, etc. They enjoyed their experience as well.

I live in Laval, first time at the DDO location. The service was amazing. We were a large group, the young gentlemen that served us was perfect. He was patient, kind, informative and we didn t feel any pressure to order or eat quickly. The food was great as usual!

I ordered the club burmingham that has a burger patty and it was very dry with a strong burnt taste. I opened it after taking a few bites and saw that the meat was all burned on the bottom side. It was supposed to have cheese but when I opened it I could barely see it, didnt taste it either. It had no dressing like I usually get in club sandwiches at other places. so I added ketchup to try to cover the burnt taste. My cesar salad was extremely good. Service was ok but my sandwich and fries felt overpriced for the quality. I took the regular fries included and regretted my choice. I had thin dry fries that were hard and too salty. Afterwards, I had a heartburn so Ill never have lunch there again, but their breakfast meals never deceived me. I recommend paying extra for the special petinos fries cause theyre way better than the dry thin ones.

Came to DDO location with my friends on a mini road trip from Toronto. It was their first time trying Petinos and they loved that it was not only tasty, but also worth the money. Lydia did an amazing job by suggesting some of our dishes. Overall an amazing experience! Definitely our fav brunch spot in Québec

Generous servings great service and very clean. The only drawback is due to its popularity there is usually a small wait before being seated. Pricing is also slightly higher for a bigger menu and big servings.

It s a regular easy breakfast go-to! So far have had good experiences. All the waiters have been great. The food is fresh & good. Sometimes there s some not so nice pieces of fruit & i find it a bit weird how at their closing at 3 they start shutting the lights off. I ve never had that experience elsewhere, when they would close they would still let us sit & finish our meal in a timely matter & they would close/clean/mop/count their money & they wouldn t be bothered. Last time here it was 3:05 & the busboy came & was quite rude & took everything away in a rude way while getting all the table crumbs on me, he clearly lacks being careful. Anywho, other than that, it s good.

Usually good and service is good, but today was a different story . I was given an over cooked item and when the waitress came back at end of meal I let her know, I was told it was my fault and I should not blame. A simple apology would have been nice but instead I received combative attitude from her and then manager. You should treat your customers better and learn customer service they do have courses on this.

The owner saves money by turning down the heating at night. This morning it was 14 degrees in the restaurant because he had turned it down to 11 degrees for the night. Often its cold but this time it was abominable

Petinos Des Sources is one of our go to brunch spots. Were a family who brunches often. We had a bad experience a couple of months ago and my brothers comment received a very nice reply, so we decided not to let one bad experience tarnish our appreciation for this restaurant... Especially because we enjoy the down-to-earth family feel of this place. Its silly, but we really do feel at home when we go there. Im glad we returned because our faith was restored.

Sorry I didnt want to leave a negative review but I want to leave my honest opinion. While others have left good reviews I wished I did the same. We went here today on Sunday around 11am, while it was busy, we didnt wait long. It was my boyfriends birthday weekend and he loves going to breakfast places but this location wasnt our first choice as the one we went to had long lines so we decided to give this a try. I was looking at reviews online and told my boyfriend that Petinos had a lot of good reviews and rated 4+ stars and he said it was surprising because his friends would come here and find hair on their food. 5 min into receiving our food and eating he finds a small hair in his potatoes, I wanted to tell the waitress and take a picture but he didnt want to bother anyone with it and it was his birthday and he didnt want the piece of hair to ruin his birthday weekend. The potatoes were okay and I didnt know it had onions ( which was fine i just had to nitpick it which was on me, i just dont like onions but I also had to keep looking at my food to make sure there wasnt any hair..) The bacon was ok...it just seemed so hard like beef jerky and bland. We had a side of hollandaise sauce which came in a small pot and it was watery... The blueberry pancake my boyfriend had was dry and bland, we couldnt finish our food so we asked for a takeout box, after paying for our food we left, after getting into our car, not even a minute into leaving, i had forgotten my takeout box and went back into the resto and asked for it , and they had already thrown it out. Disappointed but I dont even think we wouldve touched the takeout because the food was bland and wouldve just fed it to our dog. The coffee was really not the greatest either ( reviews also mentioned about it) We wouldnt come back here again but glad we tried it! Our bill came up to 40$ which I think wasnt worth it.

Sunday April 23, 2023, we were a group of 4 people, 2 of our group were sick. I had quite severe and intense food poisoning, for my part I was unable to function for more than 36 hours, severe headache, stomach ache, vomit none stop. This kind of situation should never happen to a customer, especially a busy place like Pétinos, the quality of the food must be at its best at all times. big disappointment, for those who dont know what food poisoning is, I wouldnt wish it on anyone.

Update 2023-04-25: Thanks so much for your clarification and apologies for my late reply, If you truly believe that it s ok to ask customers to leave after they pay, regardless if they re still finishing their coffee, and that it is sincerely not about the money, then perhaps you should be upfront about it and communicate this with customers as they sit down before they order and pay. By giving the choice before they pay shows that it s not about taking their money but a true concern with the customer s satisfaction. Does that make sense? This way they have the choice to go somewhere else if they re more in the mood for a relaxed breakfast/brunch or to stay with no issue of keeping it quick. The expectation is then clear with no risk of seeming rude and avoids not only putting the customer in an uncomfortable situation but the waiter as well. A bit like what other restaurants on St-Valentine s day ask (also restaurants that are not open 24h/day but only open in the evenings/nights) - requesting that customers keep it to 1.5 to 2 hours so they can serve others. If you feel that this is something that you should not be asking the customer from the start them perhaps you should consider that it is more about the money and not so much about the customer s satisfaction. Something to think about maybe? Hope this helps you and future customers. I was in a few weeks back at Petinos D.D.O. for what I thought would be a nice relaxed Sunday breakfast/brunch date. The food was ok but my date s fruit bowl was really tiny. The service was good until I paid after which we quickly got the are you guys ok here follow-up for us to leave as I was still finishing my coffee. Minutes after (still finishing my coffee), we were actually asked to leave so they could serve other clients. When this happen, I remembered back to the waitress commenting on how long it took for us to order which I thought was a joke at the time. I guess it really wasnt. In my opinion you never EVER ask a customer to leave to serve or clients. This basically shows that the value they attribute to their customer s is related to their money alone. If we wanted fast food we would have gone to McDonalds, which incidentally never ask their customers to leave

Do not recommend for large groups. Our waiter George was not friendly, rushed to take our orders, rushed to pick up our food (when I was not even done) and pretty much kicked us out because they had too many people waiting . Extremely disappointing considering I come here pretty often and have never experienced this. Waitress Maria is super sweet, patient and quick. Avoid George and avoid large groups :)

The food is very rich and very tasty. Do not go here if you are dieting. My brother had the pancakes and he said it was the best pancakes he ever had. They had so many choices! They actually had a gluten free crepe for me as Im gluten free. See photo. I got the crepe filled with fruit and cream. It was good but I would get something else next time. I was watching my weight that day. Parking: For parking, it was decent, if its busy, then it will be a little harder to find parking but you can park a little farther away if you want to.

I am here for the first and last time: the deafening volume of your music is a lack of respect for a part of your clientele who want to eat in peace and without having their ears numbed by musical genres that we do not have want to hear.

You would think ordering a 29$ plate would have all the inclusions without having to ask... Had to ask for a refill, had to ask for a glass of water... Had way better service at the LaPrairie location... The hostess was nice though... They didnt even to credit the one plate they made the mistake. That offered me something from the kitchen? I never accept anything coming from a kitchen after I placed a complaint...

I wanted to like this place but it wasn t as good as I hoped for. The eggs Benedict was as runny as snot. The potatoes was dark brown and the coffee was the only thing I liked from my meal. The service was so slow. They only had 2 waiters in the whole restaurant for 30+ tables. It was so crowded and chaotic I was not happy eating here. Me and my friend waited for 30mins just to get our order taken and another 30mins for the waiter to give us the bill after I asked for it. He was very apologetic but it doesn t make up for the lost time I sat there with subpar food. Save your time to go somewhere else.

I went with my family after a baseball game and I was impressed. The food was plentiful and delicious. The service was prompt, courteous and very polite. Twice something broke around the table and the gentleman was fast, gracious and picked up the broken glass that fell. I would definitely go back again. Thank you! I like their menu options and the food is so delicious. The waiters acknowledge you in a timely manner and interact with you, its a good place to go even alone. Vegetarian options: Many healthy options such as avocado toast, my personal favorite. Oatmeal, grilled cheese, fruit salad, etc. Parking: Its a big parking lot but has a few stores sharing it so its impossible to get space near the restaurant but if you dont mind a very little walk, youll find parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Theres a sidewalk before being accessing the door, just get on the flat side then everything will be accessible with ease.

I recommend their fresh squeezed orange juice, avocado Benedict and their chicken and waffles. Parking: Located in a strip mall. Does get packed during the morning rush. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on one level, so it is super accessible for someone in a wheelchair or using a walker to access the place.
