Masala Art is being one of our favourites for more than a year already. Food is great quality and amazing flavour. The Owner is really friendly makes you feel welcome every time. We recently celebrated birthday party. Everyone enjoyed the food and ambiance. Our regular plates are: - Chicken Chettinad - Lamb Korma - and some vegetarian like Aloo Gobhi
The Delhi Chaat platter was a perfect mix of tangy, sweet and spicy flavors .The Naan was soft and it very well complemented with the Malai Kofta and Paneer Tikka Masala. Overall this place offers the best Indian cuisine with real authentic flavors!!
Great food! The best Indian takeout I’ve had in this city. Tandoori chicken is well flavoured and cooked along with the kebabs and chicken biryani. Authentic and very satisfying. Will go again soon!
We had heard a lot about this restaurant and finally gave it a try. Definitely worth the hype. Special recommendation for Delhi chaat (you will miss India a little less after having this chaat platter) We also enjoyed Paneer tikka masala and Dal makhani. Service was great and staff was friendly and understanding.
Heard of this place from word of mouth and thoroughly enjoyed the food! We had ordered the Delhi platter, chicken tikka and chicken seekh kabob as appetizers for 5 individuals and it was plenty. The flavor and spice of the seekh kabob was very nice along with the chutney that they serve with it. The butter chicken and lamb vindaloo were great as well. The lamb vindaloo was unique and unlike any other lamb vindaloo we’ve had. It was a bit sweet for our liking so would definitely recommend requesting it to be spicy next time. Overall, loved the experience and will be back soon!
Went for the first time with my family last night and I was pleasantly surprised. Great restaurant with amazing Indian flavourful dishes. We got Delhi Chaat platter, lamb briyani, chicken tawa, lamb chops and fish curry. Their garlic naan is to die for! Warm and cozy atmosphere. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend to try this restaurant.
This is an awesome Indian restaurant near the West Island area. We've tried both veggie and meat dishes, and they're all delicious. The place looks nice, and the staff is friendly. They do party orders too, but you have to pick them up. It might be a bit pricier than other spots, but it's totally worth it. Only thing is, they should give more napkins without us having to ask.
Recently dined at this Indian restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu, including some original dishes that you don't typically see at other places. The momos were particularly impressive and come highly recommended - a real highlight of our meal. There's also a great selection of sharing plates, which is perfect for groups wanting to sample a broad array of flavors. While it's not a high-end dining establishment, the quality of the food and the overall experience were very good. It's definitely worth checking out for those interested in exploring Indian cuisine in a casual setting.
Highly recommend! The paneer tikka masala is absolutely incredible, the naan is just as amazing, and the veg chili momos were delicious as well.
I go to this place once in a while. Normally, their food is good but on my last visit on Sunday 15th evening, both paneer and chicken dishes were very salty and very spicy especially when I told the person taking the order that I need mild dish because I am not allowed spicy food. Also the chicken dish tasted stale for reasons best known to them. I repeat that this was the first time the food wasnt satisfactory. Maybe they had a new cook in the kitchen
Food is very tasty here. Lamb curry, paneer tikka, Dahl makhani and Saag are my favourite dishes. Weekend brunch: puri alloo and cholay bhaturey are also delicious.
GREAT GREAT GREAT It s was our first time at masala art. The food was delicious the portions were generous, the flavors were perfect. It is the best Indian food so far in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant. One small thing would be to bring inside the style of the beautiful restaurant logo that we see from the outside of the premises.
Great welcome thank you! the food was excellent! I also tried a roti for the first time instead of naan, super good
Very expensive and food quantity is very less I m very upset about this
Food was amazing Butter chicken : 10/10 Rice : 9/10 Popadom : 10/10 Water : 10/10 Would recommend Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options Parking: Plenty of spots
We went tonight, the food was Amazing !!!! The hostess was very attentive and friendly. Definitely I recommend it 100% Best Indian food much better than Indian Rose at Griffintown Food : 5/5
We tried it first time and it s really good. Jus mention double spice for spicy lovers
Great food! The best Indian restaurant We enjoyed the food! We had ordered the Tandoori chicken and chicken seekh kabob as appetizers it was well flavoured and spicy. The flavor and spice of the seekh kabob was very nice along with the chutney that they serve with it. Food
We went here yesterday and they didnt dissapoint us. Food and service was awesome. Most importantly, since they know we are vegetarian they takes a goof care of us, they told us about eggs in garlic naan so we can choose something else from the menu and taste was really awesome we tried paneer masala tandoori, chilli momos and mango Lassi and everything was up to the mark, we will definitely visit here again.
Love the yellow dal tadka, delicious and vegan
The food was excellent and the owners were extremely kind and welcoming!!! Their biryanis were varied and the pieces of meat were tender. I really liked it!!!
VERY NICE PLACE!! The staff is approachable and friendly. Great parking facility and the restaurant and washroom areas are extremely clean. Great place to visit with your friends and family, especially if they are vegetarian! Their mango lassis are to die for!!! Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian options that actually taste good!! Parking: GREAT!!!
I agree with Elijah Sabado mr.Chauhan s (the owner) mustache is very nice and the food was amazing to
The food is just alright, not bad, not amazing. I had paneer chilly, and it was way too sweet. It seemed to be prepared in gulab jamun syrup. It was not bad, but surely that dish needs another name. The restaurant is clean and the staff is nice and friendly.
Their tandoori chicken is really good and naan is very fresh. The only dish I didn t like a lot was Manchurian.. but other than that I highly recommend this place..
Worst restaurant in ddo. Chicken biryani had no taste and had stale vegetables. Do not go this restaurant and waste your money. They do not deliver your order in time as well. Pathetic experience. INSTEAD TRY DESI VIBES IN PIERREFONDS. Best place for food and environment as well. @masala arts First, I am getting nothing mentioning about the other restaurant. Though it is good in food and service as well. Second, you did not deliver my order in time and constantly refused to complete the order. I came again for the order and showed your employee my app which said order is ready to pick up. Check with DoorDash. They found my complaint correct and reimbursed FYI. Don t justify your behavior and improve upon it. Third, your biryani which has onion which is vegetable is stale and tasteless. Anyways thank you because I got nothing to do with your restaurant.
Masala art has amazing food to offer. I love the fact they serve the food and naans hot. Little pricey but great taste. This is our go to restaurant for Indian food and family gatherings. Food
Best place to have indian food little pricy but good food
Delicious Indian Flavors and the Best Kulfi! I recently dined at Masala Art DOLLARD-DES-ORMEAUX, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a vibrant yet cozy feel. The menu offers a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, each more flavorful than the next. We ordered cholle bhature, chaat platter, idli sambar and dosa . They all tatsed simply awesome. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert kulfi! Their kulfi is simply divine! Creamy, rich, and bursting with kesar pista flavor, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Whether youre a fan of traditional flavors like pistachio or mango, or looking to try something new, the kulfi here is a must-try. Overall, Masala Art delivers an authentic and satisfying Indian dining experience. Highly recommended, especially for indian food lover.
Delicious food. Best Mutton curry in Montreal area for sure. Food
Tandoori chicken. Chicken Tikka Masla + Garlic Naan best combo in Montreal.
Masala Art has earned a spot on my top list of Indian cuisines on the island. As someone of Indian background who has dined at numerous restaurants, I can confidently say youll enjoy delicious, authentic cuisine here. The service is great, the ambiance is pleasant for dining in, and the restaurant is clean. The biryani is a must-try, the tandoor chicken and seekh kebab are packed with flavor, and I especially love their chicken rolls! Overall, you re guaranteed to experience high-quality, authentic food at Masala Art.
They do seem so selective in service. We waited for almost an hour from starter to main course.
The butter chicken was served warm , even though we served in our plates and return them back because it was warm not hot. However, they charge us after it s totally disappointing experience we face. Please try to serve good food according to customer expectations.
The Place is Clean and neat. I ordered butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and Fish amritsari and it was soo good and tastylicious and the dessert Gulab Jamun was sooo good as well. I am 100% to come back again..And beside that the owner was so kind and she always smile and the workers there are nice too. #Namaste
The food is fresh and tasty. They cook add a lunch special.
What good Indian food! If you like it spicy! Its really delicious. I recommend.
Tasty food
This is the best Indian food I ve ever had in Montreal. Very clean place too.
First time coming in person as I am from Toronto. I ve tried literally a bite as I visited family months ago here in mtl. Today, thought I d order and give it a try. Ordered chicken momos to go and inside the order there s one sauce only. Asked for extra sauces for the momos & other things. Charges $7 for little containers. Idk about mtl but usually even a big container of sauce doesn t charge that much. Disappointing and won t be returning! Just a complete rip off and that s how you loose clients. Also, the fact that this was a take out order and for me being my first meal of the day no cutlery. How am I suppose to eat on the go? Just horrible!! Thank you for ruining my night! At last, the food went to complete waste as I didn t even have cutlery for other items. Please avoid this restaurant as it will ruin your day & eat your money instead.
Channa bhatura was unreal, all the family enjoyed all the brunch menu on Friday. Thank you
Amazing
We tried the brunch special at Masala art and the food was absolutely amazing. The chana bhatura was the best I had and it was so soft. it came with great side dishes too. THE masala dosa and chicken dosa were delicious and crispy . The samber on the side was so savory as well. We will definitely cone back for more !
My friends and I went to Masala Art last Saturday wanting to try some Indian food not knowing about there brunch special menu. We ended up trying it and loving it. The food was delicious especialy the bhatura and chole kulche.
Food was exceptional. One of the best Indian restaurant in Montreal
The female owner is really nice and polite. Her service is good. But the man who answers the phone is very impolite. I was trying to clear up the confusion about the vindaloo not being served with rice, he just hung up the phone mid-sentence. Rude customer service. I was not asking for free food. Last time i will be coming back. He shouldnt be answering the phone with that attitude. He just made the restaurant to lose two customers.
We were staying in Dorval, Quebec and wanted to explore desi food. This one had the 4.6 raring so wanted to try. Was not disappointed, food was excellent and service was awesome. Already dines two dinners.
IF YOU WANNA HAVE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN MONTREAL THEN GO TO MASALA ART
The food is fantastic at this resto. Our neighbors love it here and we had to try. I love the fusion of some of the dishes and you can tell how much love for food is placed in each dish. We started with the Onion bhaji and Veg momos and then the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice, naan and roti. It was all VERY good! The staff are friendly and courteous as well. We even met the chef and owner of the resto on the way out and seemed so happy and appreciative that we enjoyed his creations so much. Cant wait to come back to try his other dishes!
Went two days on the weekend for the brunch menu, attentive service and tasty food, plus good size portions. Word of advice stick to the north Indian items as they were excellent, but the dosa not so much, as it was very dry. But will go again if in the area.
Delicious. Lots of options for all tastes
We ordered Malai Soya Chap and Veg Momos, and they were absolutely delicious.
While in town on business (with my wife) - we came across this little hidden gem of a restaurant. The name Masala Art is no mistake, they make authentic Indian cuisine an art!!! unsure of what the various dishes were, we asked the wait staff to make suggestions. We couldnt be more pleased! The tastes, and textures of this food was beyond anything we have ever had at ANY of the much larger chains in the Toronto area!! We purposefully chose more food than we could eat in one sitting - to be sure we could try extra dishes, and to make sure we had leftovers for the next day! It was an absolute delight, and the staff were Great! Thank you for an absolutely fantastic gastric experience! We will undoubtedly be eating here again - next time we come to Mtl!!
Love this place! Very reliable and well priced.
Bijendra was an excellent server and food was great. Enjoyed my visit
I have a number of deliveries from Indian restaurants and each time there was always a dish that disappointed, but not so with Masala Art. The food was delivered with the mild heat I ordered and was thoroughly delicious. Large portions and well packaged. With a wide food range Im looking forward to trying a wide selection over time. I will definitely make the restaurant my go to.
Very nice place and customer friendly!
Was my second time there. First time for a friends bday dine in. This time take out. Had Butter Chicken, Aloo Gobi, Chicken 65, Saag Paneer, Samosas... etc. The food is delicious...everything was so tasty. Great service. Highly recommended!
Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. The tamarind sauce was the best I ve had. We had butter chicken, salmon, yellow dal, onion bhaaji delicious. Vegetarian options: Many options
food is always good here
Ive eaten at Masala Art a couple of times and have ordered delivery several times. The food is always fantastic, especially the onion bhajis. The restaurant itself is good, but the lighting is really, really bright. Kind of a cafeteria vibe to it, not really the mood for dinner.
The staff are amazing and kind. The food is excellent especially the Naan. It feels like we are in India. Most restaurants here they make Naan very thick but Masala Art makes it perfect. We loved the experience.
Me and my fiance organized our engagement lunch here. The staff was really friendly and accommodated all of our needs. They even let us stay through their afternoon break. We were ~25 people and everyone enjoyed it. Food was served quickly and it was delicious. Vegetarian options: There were plenty of vegetarian options to choose from and they were delicious. Parking: Big free parking lot.
First visit but certainly not the last. Food was terrific. Service good but not rushed. Not a fancy environment but if you want really good food I don t think you will be disappointed.
The Sunday Brunch features several new dishes to discover. I loved the Chicken Masala Dosa and its delicious salsa. Thanks to the hostess who kindly explained to us, in French, the contents of the menu! Im definitely going to go back there.
Vegetarian options: My family and I are vegetarian. All vegetarian dishes are so delicious. I enjoy going to the restaurant with my family almost every 2 weeks. The food and staff is very excellent. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the french fries, momos, veg Manchurian, shahi paneer, samosa. They love going to Masala Art.
The food here is awesome. I love their palak paneer. Its got a pleasant acidity to it. I frequently order it. This restaurant is a must for quality Indian food.
One of the best Indian Restraunt in Town. We never think about going at other place whenever we wish to eat out. Whatever your eat there I mean their whole Menu is very tasteful, plus their service and hospitality. I recommend everyone to try their food. They have Special Breakfast menu for weekends as well. Vegetarian options: Best Veg Momos,Paneer Tikka, Malai Chaap, etc.
Excellent food and service
Really great Indian place. Butter chicken was something! Getting waiter to see us was pretty long, but other great place. Just dont come during rush hours.
First time dining there. The food was amazing!
Food is always good and easy on stomach. I like the cleanliness they keep. If someone is looking for good taste with hygiene, this is the place.
This place is truly fantastic in every way. Vegetarian options: Many and all that I had were great Food : 5/5 |
I never leave reviews but I just have to rave about this place. We have been ordering takeout regularly from Masala Art for the last few years - large orders - and we have never - NOT ONCE - had a mistake in our order. How is that even possible statistically?? Also the food - authentic, flavorful, plentiful - and the service we get is always welcoming and kind. This place is a West Island gem. Highly recommend.
Best food ever
The best food
Very taste food of Indian Cuisine we have loved it Vegetarian options: Veg momos steamed and fried momos, soya chaps Food : 4/5 |
Best customer service staff is very friendly
The best paneer pakora i ever had today.
Favorite Indian food
This place is something else, our favorite Indian restaurant in all of Montreal by far. Staff is extremely friendly and make you not want to leave
Ordered Veg Manchurian (6qty) and momos (12qty). While the taste was okay, I found the prices a bit on the higher side. Additionally, my dining experience was dampened as I observed a restaurant worker washing glasses right next to the cash counter, which felt off-putting. Unsure if thats the correct practice.
Loved the food and portions were huge. Must try are chilli momos , Veg Manchuria , Tangdi kebab and chicken fried rice Food
Great vegetarian options. We ate sarson d saag, dal makhni and naan. It was just perfect!
Food is delicious and staff is so welcoming. Try the mango drink, its a must
Disappointed when they charged 6$ for the Raita , when we already ordered biriyani, first time I was charged for Raita :) food quantity is OK, Food
Just loved it..
Masala Art is always me and my girlfriends first choice to dine in when we crave for Indian food. Everything is cooked to perfection, be it chicken curry in which the chicken is always moist and juicy, chicken kebabs are as juicy as youd want them to be, and flatbreads are just about perfect as they are all well cut, thin, and crispy including naan. Special thanks to Gurpreet who always helps us to pick the best from their wide variety of menu.
One of the best Indian restaurants on Montreal island. Not only is the food delicious but the quantity is amazing for the price. So many places these days have increased their prices while reducing quantity and quality both! Glad that this restaurant is not one of them. I am a vegetarian and love their Dal Makhani, Saag and Paneer Tikka Masala! The Onion Pakoras were fresh and delicious as well. I have visited this place 4 times in the last 2 months, and that too when I don t have a car while living far away in downtown Montréal. I went using Communauto each time which would tell you how good their food is!
Very delicious. Pleasant and attentive staff.
This restaurant is my favorite for authentic Indian cuisine. Its so delicious and the place looks very clean and hygienic. Highly recommended.
First time trying and we thought the food was great... But pricy compared to other Indian restaurants weve eaten at...
My son and I went to Masala Art for the second time last week. Thats the first time I noticed how many Indian people frequent this place. Th food is excellent and I took some Lamb Korma, very mild, home for my wife, together with the remains of our supper, to eat the following night. She enjoyed the mild spiciness and said that it wasnt too hot. Accompanied by Naan and Rice, this made a good second day. They have a full bar too, with a selection of bottled beer and wine. No draft beer yet! The place is large enough to house our Friday night group of 12 people, so one of these Fridays we will be back! The room is fairly bare and poor atmosphere and thats my only complaint. The food is the highlight!
Great Place! Best food in Montréal. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Edit: I visited this place again. Their food is still top notch. Food : 5/5
Everything is just excellent and staff is very friendly
For the price its not worth it. They dont include bread or rice and the portion of sauce and meat is so small its a crime. It you are gonna charge 16-17 for butter chiken I need more than 5 pieces of chiken and I need rice or naan with it. The naan is like 4$ almost 5$ and the rice is almost 4$. Unbelievable. If you dont care about quantity youll be fine since the food wasnt terrible.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Here, Masala is an art! Butter Chicken Delicious!!! Subtle and traditional taste! Exquisite Tandori! Assorted starters a treat! Perfect chai tea! Creamy and thick mango lassi! Absolutely worth visiting!
So we were at Masala Art on Friday evening. The service was excellent. The food was fresh and generous. Indian beer was amazing. The tea is highly recommended. The whole experience was very pleasant. So background music could improve the atmosphere. Thanks
I had lunch yesterday with my 6 friends. Excellent service. The food was excellent and delicious. I am back again within one day. Vegetarian options: Best Indian vegetarian cuisine
Amazing Food best in the city ! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! Thanks for the amazing service Masala Art Team !
Great Indian foods !
My first time at Masala art, I had Bhindi and Dal with rice and naan, my dinings partners had butter chicken and chicken tikka with roti and naan. Everything was fantastic, would not hesitate to return ! Thank you! Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options
This is one of our favorite new Indian restaurant. The entire staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable with the menu. The food is very authentic and flavorful. My favorite dish is their Andhra fish curry. The restaurant is also kid-friendly and there is plenty of parking.
Very good food. Good service. Excellent atmosphere.
Tasty food, lovely place and staff. We lover momos and chilli momos specially.
I stopped by for lunch with little expectations, even after reading reviews you never know what to expect until you try for yourself. I ordered achari paneer tikka with dal soup and garlic naan because I was not very hungry. I was extremely pleased with the flavours and texture. It seems more refined than other Indian restaurants I have been to including Taj and Gandhi (which are both great). Somebody has clearly developed the recipe IMHO; each spice seems to be present in balanced harmony to take your taste buds on a journey of love! Dont misunderstand me, this is why we all love Indian food but it seems that the chef has particular skill in blending based on my small sample size! I cant wait go back to try more of the menu with my family and friends. I felt compelled to write a review because its such a nice surprise for my first impression.
Amazing Indian food, great appetizers such as paneer pakoras, chilli chicken momos (also known as chilli chicken dumplings), the butter chicken was great, delectable selection of naans and the chicken fried rice was amazing. Will definitely come back again on multiple occasions when I will be in the area. Vegetarian options: There are a variety of vegetarian options with great taste.
Amazing place, their paneer tikka is a must try! Cheers!
Amazing place with delicious food.
Amazing food. We came from southshore to DDO as menu is different compare to other restaurants. Great service and Great food. Must visit.
there achari paneer tikka is so colorful nice presentation good combination of spices sooooooooooo gooood
We came to Montreal foe long weekend from Brampton, Ontario and had a dinner at Masala Art. Amazing food and great service. Thank you.
i been in canada from last 6 years and Masala art is best restaurant i have been to thanks for the amazing food
We had lunch at Masala Art today. It was a nice surprise. The food was very flavourful and good service. We will definitely go back. Vegetarian options: The cauliflower and potatoes were delicious, so was the lentil dish
Just average food. I went to pick up lunch on a Wednesday, maybe just a bad/slow day to go. I found Paneer Tikka masala to be quite sweet. I also ordered the Veg Manchurian and could taste ketchup and Sweet Chilli Thai sauce heavily. It was also quite sweet, rather than the usual Hakka taste it is supposed to have. Definitely disappointed with the food. Naans were great, no complaints. I was hoping the quality would match the pricing, but it didnt. Would not repeat or recommend.
Nice place for Indian vegetarian food in Montreal. The test was nice.
Sardar ji is too good Always smiling in his face Food
Had the butter chicken with the garlic none and it was very delicious. Very friendly service. Would definitely visit again!
I ordered The Chicken biryani and it was great, it wasn t too spicy which in my opinion made it so good. Also their Mango lassi was super delicious!! The staff there were very kind and friendly I would definitely love to go again!
Normally the service is great This time the food was not great The service was horrible the guy never asked once If I need something else Need more customer service skills Please ask ur employees to ask the clients if they need something else
Masala art is a must try restaurant for the food lovers specially indians there food is authentic the service is really good I went for the chat in Montréal in more than 25 indian restaurants but specially for the chat lovers it s a must place too try there presentation is so good for all the food items the naan bread is so crispy I went 3 times ordered different food every time but I never get disappoint I just love all the food it s an honest review must go and try wish good luck for them Vegetarian options: A lot of options
Food is amazing! Good ambience! Last night we were late, they were about to close but still they served us with warmth and fresh food. The owners are very nice, welcoming and respectful. Whenever we eat Indian food, masala art is our first choice. Once we took our friends and colleagues there, now there first preference for Indian food is also at masala arts.
The best indian restaurant in Montreal rn. The ambiance is amazing and the food is soooo good. A must visit. Value for money.
Had first time dinner here today. Manchurian were little dry from inside compared to pan villa and bhandari and also in gravy too much ketchup was added. Naan was good. Paneer tikka masala was told to make spicy but was sweet. Biryani was ok but no spices or onions can be visible. When we say biryani, it was not upto mark. Even the owner is irresponsible to apologise or comment on reviews. #Notrecommended
Best indian food Ive had in a really long time, highly recommend!
Amazing food.
Loved their service. Food was so delicious. Well organised dining area. Best for family and friends get together. Affordable prices. Everything was perfect
The food was really yummy. Remainds India The Delhi chaat platter was a perfect combo of all the spices.
Authentic Indian food, amazing taste and quality. I would say one of the best in Montreal. Do visit if looking for Indian taste. Service should be improved slightly. 5+ stars on the taste, consistency and quality
The food is wonderful Our taste buds have traveled to another world of pleasure and discoveries Sumit is wonderful: very good service and good menu choice recommendations
Best Indian restaurant for food in the West Island. Everything is prepared very well. Onion Bhaji, Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic nann bread were exceptional. All washed down with cold beer. Can t wait to go back!
Great food, terrible service
My go to place for Indian Cuisine. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Good Food.
INCREDIBLE food and prices!!! Portions are great, family style dining made easy. This place is amazing. Try their house beer!
The food is 10/10. Authentic and really tasty. I have been 2 times and will be back soon. Vegetarian options: All amazing.
The place is good for dine in. Veg momos, dal makhani, boondi raita was very yum. Panner teekha pyaaz ( dont remember the name) sabji was okay okay. Chai was also good. Definitely can visit the place.
We visited this family owned restaurant last weekend. Great food with great interaction. Loved meeting the family and food reflected the goodness :)
Food quality was great. Delicious and the chicken pieces were moist and tender. We thoroughly enjoyed the aloo gobi (cooked to perfection) not too spicy. The naan was thin and crispy (not typical) but wonderfully chewy inside and was delightful with the sauces. Clean and prompt service. Will be back!
Lovely and delicious food love the food . Specially the service was perfect Vegetarian options: Delicious and homemade taste Food : 5/5 |
We were there today for the first time with friends. We were looking for an Indian restaurant in the West Island and came upon this one. After reading several reviews, we decided to give it a try. Food was excellent!!!! Lots of delicious choices. Restaurant was very clean and staff was very friendly. A lady , i believe to be the owner was very polite and kind. Great food, great prices!! We will definitely return.
Very bad service, walk out after waiting 30 minutes to be seated. The waiter was seating people that came after us. After telling him multiple times, he made zero effort.and we walked out.
The price is ok but the food quality is not very good. Very oily food. I went with my family and friends and everyone was complaining about the quality of the food.
Best Indian food I had in a long time. Goat curry was delicious. Vegetarian options: The lentils are amazing. Food : 5/5 |
Delicious food
We travelled from Ottawa to drop someone off at the airport in Montreal and googled a place around for dinner. We are so glad we made it here at Masala Art. The good was elegant, subtle and yet delicious. We mostly had appetizers and it was a new form of Indian appetizers Later we got to know that the chefs at this place are from the Taj, 5 star hotels in India. Highly recommend! Will come here next time for sure
No more another restaurant, now only masala art my family loves that thank you so much for masala art team,
Amazing food, good taste and fresh ingredients. We travelled from the USA to Canada for a small vacation and one of our friend recommended this place, I must say we loved everything we ate here. We had lunch one day and came back for dinner the next day. We tried Veg Momos, Achari Panner Tikka, Chicken Sheekh Kabab, Panner Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani, Mashroom Jhal Frezi, Naan, Tandoori Roti, Rice, Kulfi etc, everything was authentic in taste. Thanks to the staff for accommodating us even though we did not have the reservation. Highly recommend this place! We had a good experience here, and do highly recommend it for good Indian food and a good experience overall. Menu has great variety of options. The veg Momos are a must try, dal makhani is good too. They do a good job with flavors and right balance of Indian flavors. Vegetarian options: High chair available
Good choice for vegetarian food
Got the Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka Massala. Delicious and perfectly spiced! Get their assorted naan too :)
If you are looking for Indian food this is The best choice. It was such good experience with such a good customer service (the guy on counter was very polite and calm). I can say Naan was very soft and crispy. More to Add we ordered chicken tikka masala and shahi malai khofta both gravy (soup) has different taste (not like other restaurants where they serve same gravy), here I would like to mention that if they do chkn more soft: would be good for chikne lover. Rest everything was amazing, peacefull environment defentliy will go again.
We really enjoyed our meal at Masala Art! It was our first time here and definitely not our last. There was a lot of vegetarian options for me to choose from. We loved the chili dumplings, naan and paneer tikka masala. My husband really liked the butter chicken. We enjoy eating spicy food & thought the spice level was perfect and well balanced in all the dishes, everything was so delicious. Can t wait to go back and try more things!
Fresh and tasty authentic food, clean place, great service and honest approach. I will definitely go back and also recommend this resto to my family and friends.
Food and service top notch. Butter chicken and naan bread were outstanding. Highly recommended. Food
Just because of some rude staff, I would never like to go here. On second note: Food is really nice. Food
I was hungry since morning on truck and Just now i ordered chicken fried rice and you can see it looks like they put all the left over rice and chicken in it and the spoon is mine , they save the money in that too. Well done for 0 star Food
Food was superb The best indian restau in montreal Must try if u r coming to montreal Food : 5/5
Very nice place especially for Indian cuisine lovers
Best indian food ive ever had. Phenomenal atmosphere and service. Beware will have you leaving absolutely stuffed
Amazing food and the service
10/10, best restaurant experience I ve ever had. I recommend to everyone I know
We recently dined at this Indian restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Roomali Roti, in the past which was simply amazing. However, its disappointing to hear that its no longer on the menu. Nevertheless, the other dishes we tried were equally delicious, showcasing the chefs talent and dedication to authentic flavors. I hope they bring back the Roomali Roti in the future, but even without it, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit for a fantastic Indian culinary experience
The food is absolutely delicious! You should definitely order the momos. It is a bit expensive, but honestly totally worth it. Food : 5/5
Nice
Service is fantastic, people are very kind with the requests. Food was amazing, we like moms and chicken soup. And the bar is also available in this place. All around it was a good dine-in.
Fantastic food with a great atmosphere. Very down to earth restaurant owners. Will come again
Best indian food i ve ever had! Perfect for family and friends
Hands down, the best Indian restaurant in Montreal!! Food quality and food presentation was top notch. Best Momos I have ever had in my life, loved every bite of it. We also order the Tandoori Paneer Tikka and Soya Chaap, it was super yummy. Properly marinated and soft with enough spices. I got a feeling of a fine dine restaurant. In the main course, we ordered Veg Biryani (best I have ever had), Dal Makhni (yummiest), Kofta and Mushroom Jalfarezi (best main course curry) with Lachha Parantha (fresh) and Tandoori Roti. Everyone loved the food as it was rich in flavour and tasty. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you re in Montreal area. I would definitely visit again whenever I ll visit Montreal. Owners are very nice and friendly people. The owner is also the main chef of the restaurant. Customer service was 5 stars as well. The restaurant was clean and hygienic. I saw pictures of the owner in the restaurant and he was a chef in Taj Palace, New Delhi and at some Indian restaurant in Russia. We all were truly impressed by the quality and presentation of food. Thank you for the great food and letting us sit and order food during your break. We especially came from Toronto to visit our friends in Montreal and visiting your restaurant was the key moment of our trip.
Their Momos and Onion Bhaji were great. We had 20 people dine in and the service was quick and excellent. Vegetarian options: You would find tons of Vegetarian Indian options.
Great place, authentic and tasty food, and great staff!
Love the food. Picked up supper for 5 and everything was amazing.
Wow, what a great discovery. Their monos ( spicy indochinese dumplings out of this world) everything fresh and tasty. Decor a little tired ( like most Indian restaurants but worth the visit!
Place to order authentic tandoori lamb chops, rich in flavour.
I should start by saying I came here a few times before but did not stay since the wait was too long but today..... We started with Dehli chat which is Dehli street food and it set the tone for the rest. There were 4 different types of food on the half portion and all very delicious. It was perfect for 2 people. Then we had Masala Art Dalh, an eggplant dish, and Lamb Vindaloo with rice and Naan. I now understand why it is so popular. Everything was done so well that even though the Vindaloo was not as spicy as I normally would like, the taste more than made up for it. We of course ended up with leftovers which means we can enjoy the rest tomorrow. Definitely recommended.
I m shocked at all these 5 star reviews. The food was just ok but overpriced for what you get. Nothing included in their meals. You have to order everything separately. The service though was absolutely terrible. Rude and unclean appearance. Stood behind the bar and stared at us the entire time. Was really weird. Unfortunately will not go back.
