Contemporary eatery offering fine Japanese fare, from classic sushi options to innovative entrees.
This is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to. The fish was incredibly fresh and the rolls were expertly crafted. Everything from the service to the presentation was top-notch. If you're looking for a truly special sushi experience, I can't recommend this place enough!
Maiko Sushi is a beautiful place with a great ambiance, and I really enjoy the vibe. The menu has some good makis that stand out compared to other places, but I find the flavors a bit repetitive. While some pieces were really tasty, others didn’t hit the mark, so the overall experience felt a bit uneven. The presentation, though, is stunning—everything is plated like a work of art. In fact, I’d say the presentation is better than the taste for SOME sushi rolls (not all, of course). If you’re looking for sushi that looks amazing and tastes good, Maiko is a solid choice, BUT for the price, there are places that deliver more, in my opinion.
The food as usual was fantastic but I saw several people , myself included using their phone flashlight to be able to see the menu and the food when it arrives. They always have a beautiful presentation of the food but it’s so dark you can barely cannot see it. Our food also did not come with wasabi and with very little ginger and asked for more only to get charged for it at the end. That’s really strange to me. Also would be great if the omakase was offered per person and not only 2 or 4. Overall again the food was good but the lighting was just terrible
We had such an exquisite dinner at this restaurant. The seafood was fresh and of great quality and the rice had a well balanced vinegary taste to it which made the sushi taste amazing while not overpowering the flavours of the other ingredients. The soya sauce was also delicious, a nice balance between sweet and salty which added onto the experience. The service was also great. The waiter was patient, friendly and quite polite which made the evening more enjoyable. Please do note that it did take us around an hour after we sat down at our table to get our food. The little things that did take us out a bit during the meal was probably the ceiling with all the ventilation running through that can be easily seen and the loudness of the music. Even though there were already a lot of customers talking, the loud music made it even harder to speak with each other at our own table. Finally, the price was a bit high in my opinion. It was 130$ for the omakase set for 2 people and 260$ for 4. I don't mind paying more but I would have loved to see a couple of sushi with some more expensive cuts like fatty tuna or scallops. We mostly only got rolls which felt a bit more boring to me but they still tasted great. The lobster dish though was quite adventurous and exquisite in taste which was refreshing in the meal.
Excellent Japanese food. The grilled eel is particularly tasty and tender. The see urchin and the yellowtail are well worth it as well. Large selection of cocktails and wines offered. Food presentation is beautiful and service is very helpful!
The way Maiko continues to elevate the sushi and the culinary experience is remarkable. Not only is the seafood consistently top quality, Maiko has not compromised with the presentation of each dish with edible flowers, fruits, and sauces to delight the senses, unlike many of my favorite restaurants post C-19. All the appetizers on menu are amazing, and like a rookie, we always order too many. What I love about Maiko is that there are always new fabulous dishes added along with my favorites. Fusion that transcends and makes Japanese cuisine that much better. We make the trekk from TO regularly for the fabulous food, great vibes, and Maiko experience. This time we had a celebration and went all out with lycee mojitos to start, and Alaskan theme everything, including Alaskan crab salade, cakes, and rolls. They were out of this world. Then, we had to try a few new menu items like the raw oysters and bone marrow lobster. OMG! I can not even. Those that can not eat raw had the black cod, and it was grilled to such buttery perfection, we ate every last morsel of flakey yumminest.
Arguably the best sushi in Montreal. Very fresh and well prepared. Lots of options and great appetizers including the sushi pizza and veggie tempura. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit loud. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Service & staff are very nice. The atmosphere is beautiful, with their amazing decorations. Very nice place to bring your family to enjoy some high end sushi. They also have other types of food in their menu, like steak, fried whole fish and more. The sushi won't disappoint you at all. At this place, I had some of the finest sushi in my life and I have tried many high end other sushi places. Very satisfying experience.
Im satisfied with the facility
Great experience
I have been a regular patron of this restaurant since 2010. During a recent visit I had a subpar experience on several levels, however. Without going into detail, the restaurant was clearly having a very bad night. I had a talk with the management about my experience and they acknowledged the problem and accepted full responsibility. When you pay a certain price for something it is normal to have a reasonable expectation of standards and quality. When that is what you get you know nothing more. It is when something goes wrong and needs to be addressed that you truly find out who you are dealing with. In reflecting on the experience and the response I received it is abundantly clear that even after all these years Maiko Sushi cares a great deal about remaining a top provider. Highest recommendation.
Very nice restaurant, with fast and courteous service. Everything we have ordered to date is excellent: exquisite food, reasonable price and generous portions.
My best restaurant I have a physical reaction when I think of this restaurant I automatically salivate
Amazing staff! We had a young gentleman waiter. He was very attentive, knew his stuff and made great recommendations. Food was fresh and delicious! And what a pretty restaurant. Especially like the big pink tree.
Ideal for getting out of your comfort zone by testing sushi and other dishes with redesigned flavors. The whole thing is tasty and well presented. Avoid decorative sauces to fully appreciate the taste of the ingredients.
I recommend, one of the best place in MTL
Excellent
Food was amazing as always. Such a great ambience in a random strip plaza. Fair pricing for lunch specials are also a bargain
I dont live in the area, but when I get the chance to try some good fried chicken or a really great ramen soup, I don t hesitate to stop by and satisfy that craving. Excellent service as always, along with great food. Kid-friendliness: Small space, Wheelchair accessibility: small space
unreal. food was delicious and staff was professional
not only the price..., all the sushi was falling apart, I also ordered a mojito, there was enough for 3 sips, they added a lot of ice and waited for the order for a very long time, there was very little sushi, also I didnt see anyone wearing gloves among the cooks and there is also a possibility that they might spit when communicating) the only thing that is good is the atmosphere, everything is very beautifully done
This is definitely my favorite Japanese restaurant West Island. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly. My favorite is Les perles. It s very sophisticated.
Service could be more welcoming. Its as if I was doing the waiters a favor by coming to eat here. The food was decent, but Maiko was much better before.
Delicious
Has been many times in the past and last visit was a big letdown. The food quality has deteriorated both in terms of portion and taste. When brought up to the waiter, it was dealt with in a manner to indicate we were lying. Luckily we had the picture from previous visits which eventually convinced the waiter. The whole process feels like they just are either ignorant about what their signature dishes should be, or don t really care. Very disappointing used to be our go-to place.
Amazing, was there friday night got fantastic service from Will ( Im sure its his name had cool tattoos) Gave us fantastic service . Nice to see people are good at what they do. If you go to Mako ask for Will.
Waited exactly an hour 10 minutes for the food to arrive... kids got hjngry and antsy...no a pleasant experience..food was very good, mind you, 700$..not for everybody..
Excellent. Service is 10/10. Food : 5/5
one of the best sushi rolls I ve ever tasted! Great service and nice atmosphere as well.
Nice place, good service!
It s my first time visiting this place great welcoming great food
Fantastic restaurant to visit!!! The quality of food was amazing Food
Amazing take out
Food is good but it s not the same Maiko like a few years ago. The quality of the sushi is not the same very little fish, no tempura replaced by rice krispee and not very well rolled. Ambiance is great
Very average sushi, overpriced, loud and noisy. Ok place to have a dinner party but not a date. We had the omakase which did not even contain nigiri as opposite to what was written. The bluefin tuna was better than average neighborhood sushis but that s about it. The salmon carpaccio was an interesting find. But the rest of the plate felt like a « good » neighborhood take out sushi for 2x the plate.
Favorite sushi in montreal. Amazing specialities. We ve been going there since 2012. Been doing a lot of pickup especially since covid, this time Went with wife and the kids. Kids loved it Ordered all the classics we used to order: des sources, delices Maiko (favorite), grilled lobster and this time tried for first time the new grilled lobster : sublime. Always a pleasure to try their sushi
Ive been coming here for 15+ years. Always wonderful. Fresh ingredients, such creative flavour combinations, beautiful presentations, and fantastic service.
The place is immaculate . One of the top sushi restaurants in Montreal.
Loveable staff. Amazing decor. Great food.
Great sushi, a little loud for dinner but very nice place.
Best sushi! Fantastic service. Love the waiters.
Best sushi West Island
Do not come here if you re looking for authentic good sushi at a reasonable price. The food was good (maybe 3.5-4/5) but the price is around double to triple what the quality would warrant. The service was poor and we struggled to get any server s attention. The appetizer took an hour to arrive, and there was a 20 minute gap between us finishing the appetizer and the main course sushi arriving. Sad state of affairs.
Amazing sushi bistro! Great service and food (sushi, sashimi) is fresh, tasty and well presented. We had a great time dining at Maiko!
Beautifully decorated restaurant There is a lunch special on Thursday and Friday Comes with soup and salad Main meals are all delicious The service was excellent
Perfectly rolled sushi. Filled with flavors in your mouth. Everything is exquisite. Excellent service! Beautiful decor and lovely atmosphere. Try the private room with magnificent flowers for your celebration. Perfectly rolled sushi. Filled with flavors in your mouth. Everything is exquisite. Excellent service! Beautiful decor and lovely atmosphere. Try the private room with beautiful celebration flowers.
Awesome food. Highly recommended.
Delicious sushis and great service and atmosphere I absolutely recommend one of my favorite sushis on the island of Montreal
Beautiful chic restaurant, excellent service, delicious sushi, even for takeaway we take care of you while you wait. Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian choices.
Amazing service. Food was to die for. I can t wait until the next time.
Love coming to Maiko sushi especially for the lunch specials, sushi is always fresh, tastes amazing, consistent and I ve never been disappointed. Quality of the food is on the much higher end, it s worth the price, the miso soup is amazing along with the 911 rolls. Service is always very consistent, friendly and amazing. They really go the extra mile on presentation, it s always such a treat! The restaurant is beautiful, such a nice atmosphere, very welcoming, and upscale. I m a regular here and always coming back! Try the lunch specials, the sushi bouquet is totally worth the price and you get a delicious miso soup and salad with it! Vegetarian options: Salads, vegetarian sushi rolls, tempuras Parking: Free parking lot out front
What to say? Perfect, fresh, tasty! Thank you Miko Sushi
I have tried several of their dishes and none have disappointed me.
Place to eat sushi in the west island!
architecturally interesting , this is not a Japanese Sushi Restaurant.. the food has nothing to do with Sushi the atmosphere and acoustic was intolerable sad to have had the experience i love Japanese cuisine this is an attempt at an izikaya style bar with bar food service was horrible . best advice is to avoid
I always come and eat here when I am in Montreal. An amazing place to spend a rainy day with mouthwatering food.
In short used to be great and now just blah. The sashimi was thin like paper the sushi a tiny little sliver. The lobster bone marrow appetizer was overcooked lobster in a fat juice with unrecognizable marrow. The tempura shrimp was petrified to the point there was more crisp of the batter in the sauce then on the shrimp. Not to mention the shrinkflatiron
The food and the servise was great
My 1st time visiting Maiko Sushi turned out to be one of the very best sushi experience we ever had. From top to bottom the service was excellent, great atmosphere from the very 1st step into the restaurant and of course wonderful food prepared by chef Trang. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
As always Maiko did not disappoint. While they have undergone shrinkflation, the flavour is still Incredible. The rolls are definitely smaller than they used to be, but would still highly recommend. You won t be disappointed. We got our sushi to go and enjoyed it out in the sunshine.
Best sushi, menu and presentation always surprises you with wow factor. Overall great food and great service.
AMAZING! The food is amazing! The service is amazing! The atmosphere is amazing! EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!
West Island staple. Quality and service unmatched.
Absolutely wonderful...
One of my all time favourite sushi restaurants in the west island!! I ve been here many times and it always delivers amazing fresh food and great service. The interior of the restaurant is fabulous and is great for a fancy night out. I always have to order their Khaki-Aghe and their popcorn roll. They re so different and full of unique flavours of sushi. I tried their fried banana dessert for the first time and all i can say is WAW
Amazing atmosphere, sushi quality and overall presentation!
Great sushi. Nice atmosphere (a little too dark but ok). Our waiter could have been a little nicer but no complaints.
I am not one to write bad reviews, feel free to check my previous ones :). Been to Maiko on many occasions, most of the time ordering sushi only. The food is good, definitely up there with the best spots in the city. Tonight, we went, ordered sushi as usual but also ordered a type of special plate which came with beef, chicken, shrimp, vegetables and rice. I asked for fried rice instead of steamed rice. Response was: no problem, there is a small extra. Ok for me. Then comes the bill --- an extra $11 dollars for the fried rice!! We are talking about a bowl holding less than a cup of rice with shallots and mushrooms it it... I have no issue paying, already the prices in this restaurant are on the high end. However, this $11 charge is simply over the top. When paying the bill, I mentioned that I found it a bit abusive to charge $11 for that. The way the young lady responded was just unacceptable, well sir, next time, ask how much the extra cost is ... I was floored just by the way she answered, she clearly did not care and to make it worst, someone with me at the table told me afterwards that she rolled her eyes when I made the comment on the price of the rice!! I did not see that as she was not directly in front of me when she came to the table. Again, great food, the experience with the young lady at the end ruined it for me. To close, $6 for a can of coke and $7 for a Shirley Temple is also somewhat excessive, but whos counting right :). Fully understand that food costs have increased but there are limits, the above is abusive.
Great food , great ambiance and amazing service. Top sushi experience. Had the opportunity to speak with the owner. She is such a nice lady and very genuine. She takes pride in what she serves and ensure everything is made to perfection.
Excellent sushi!!!
Overall, this is a pretty busy restaurant with okay food. I found that the sushi is very expensive for basically mediocre quality sushi. They put some effort into the presentation of the sushi, and its fresh; but the rice is dry, and the fish isnt that flavourful. Prepandemic you could get a nice chef platter of sushi for 35$ (18 pieces), post pandemic I paid about 140$ for 32 pieces of sushi. I wouldnt recommend this place. Paying premium prices for mediocre sushi. The restaurant was also super loud and packed, and it took a long time to get service.
Best sushi in the city, always fresh and tasty. Amazing !!
Excellent food and service. I had the sea ursin sushi and salmon teriyaki
One of the best. For a better experience, try the expensive options. Its pricy but worth it. However, not everything is expensive; last time I went on a budget and ate well by opting for some normal sushi. Parking available.
Best in all !love it
I called to make a reservation for 29 people a month from now on a Wednesday. The kept me on hold for 7 minutes just to tell me they can only do it at 8pm which is too late for a group this size. When I said never mind, thank you , the girl on the phone just said: ok and hung up. Which is quite rude! Unfortunately from this poor customer service on the phone I don t even want to visit the place at all in the future which is unfortunate because a lot of people have recommended it.
Delicious, beautifully served sushi. The restaurant is nicely decorated, cozy ambiance yet a little too dark. Perfect place for a date or a business meeting (if next to the window). Minuses: - Pricey; - Booking in advance didnt work out, they called back and asked to choose either 5 pm or 8.30 pm (original time was supposed to be 7 p.m.) - A little too crowded even tho we went on a regular Wednesday, better to come before 7.30 pm. - The service was a bit slow, however very friendly and quite attentive. - The menu has no photos, easy to get lost in all the names and descriptions, so we just asked for the staffs recommendations. Overall, a pleasant experience, worth visiting on a special occasion (otherwise will bite ur wallet). Kid-friendliness: High chair was offered for a child
My in-laws decided to order from there for a birthday party. We have ordered takout on numerous occasions from Maiko, and it has always been impeccable. However, I got very sick last night. Ill spare the details, but the night was quite short. We mostly shared all orders the night before, but I was the only one who tried the amberjack makis, so I assume they may have been the culprits. Whatever it was, Im still paying for it. I like the place, and we may go back at some point, but it wont be for tomorrow or anytime soon.
My steak was undercooked, and got very poor service, do not recommend
The presentation is amazing!! And the sushi is fresh and delicious!
Parking: This is our favourite restaurant! The ambiance, service, food quality and food presentation are amazing, always! We have been going to this restaurant for more than 17 years and we have never been disappointed! Everything is delicious! I just wished they offered the lunch menu on the weekends! Food
This order cost $130 +tax+tip, totally about $180. We were lucky to get a seat. When we decided to eat sushi on the road, they required to reserve a week before. We took a chance to get there, then either bar or aside small table, all around were many empty tables about 6pm. We couldn t figure out those fancy name s on the menu at the dark room, no pictures. Only way to do choosing two persons order. It has three kind of sashimi, each kind three pieces. The rolls taste I will say that were better than the most other sushi restaurant in Montreal, fresh and tasty. The service was great and helpful, the atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful design each plate by my looking around. Also found the other table had the same as us to have a selecting difficulty. When we finished, those empty tables were almost full of people, but I didn t see any oriental faces. I couldn t figure out why so much favourite for the western young people like this place, it was my Friday experience to be there.
Went with a big group, we were seated in a cute long table. Food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was top notch, so carefully crafted. The sushi was melting on my tongue and it s probably the best sushi I ve ever had! Definitely recommend this place for high end sushi and overall food. Service was quick and very attentive.
Delicacy ! Music a bit too loud but overall a pleasant experience... as always
Rice in the sushi was high quality. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The rolls where great as well. We went for the shared chefs choice and it was 65 pieces and soup for 4 people. It was enough food but we also took some entrees, if we had not it might have not been enough. Dietary restrictions: Allergie to sesame.
My absolute favourite sushi restaurant in Montreal. My friend and I go every Friday for lunch and the service and food is always incredible. I highly recommend maiko sushi!
I have done this review already but here it is again. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was super loud and noisy and it didnt help that the tables are way too close together. Much too squished. Food
Probably among the best Sushi in the Montreal region. The sushis are huge and well stocked, the presentation impeccable. The Sashimi are nevertheless, a note below. The place is very popular and in the spirit of the times, in short a little chic and therefore prices accordingly. Good experience, possibly to be repeated.
just wow
Favorite sushi in all of Montreal hands down !
Maiko offers the best all-around value for top tier sushi in the city. Their teriyaki dishes are also amazing. We have been going there regularly for 25 years and have never been disappointed. Their food is always consistently amazing and they have a wonderful staff. Hands down our favourite place for sushi. My only criticism is that the dining room is very noisy on a Saturday night but that is because they are always packed! Vegetarian options: Veggie tempura is amazing as are the veggie paradise rolls.
Decent food nice decor good service.
The food is excellent, the presentation is neat and the ingredients are fresh. However, the service is very questionable. Slow to be served, communication problem between service and customers. Additionally, one of the servers was unable to speak French, unacceptable in a customer service position.
Lovely restaurant, attentive and accomodating staff, more on the expensive side but worth the cost. Will definitely return, highly recommended for a fantastic sushi experience Dietary restrictions: There were two people with dietary restrictions, and both had a great time, very little issue
Nicest sushi restaurant in West island. Presentations are very neat. Our waiter was very efficient but not really nice...
Maiko sushi is a Montreals living culinary institution since 25 years ago. It is a family business that takes so much care to every detail in the food and the restaurant. Food variety and quality is what bring us back every time, and we leave feeling great about the quality of their service. The restaurant is more on the noisy side as it is often full, in spite of their high ceilings. Just a minor detail.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE at this beautiful restaurant. We were served by Mike and the service was a 12/10!!!! Beautiful owner who keeps an eye on everything and everything runs smoothly. Fantastic highly recommend fresh fish, beautiful presentation!! Will return. Thank you!!
Great place to eat. I highly recommend it!
Great food! Amazing staffs.
The food was absolutely mediocre. Small portions and expensive, the presentation is underwhelming, the ingredients are just average, the quality of the fish is not the best and the sushi rolls are tiny and unoriginal with very little ingredients inside. It s almost as if they are trying to make the rolls as small as possible, please look at the picture. The sashimi is thinner than a piece of paper. I came here for a birthday and was extremely disappointed, I will never come here again. This place is absolutely overrated, you are better off going to ANY sushi restaurant before this one. The only thing arguably good is the service. Save your time and money to go to a fancier place, you won t even be spending that much more since Maïko is expensive for nothing, but you might actually get a quality meal. The only reason this place is still operating is because it s open in the West Island to a public of uncultured white people who think that California rolls are a delicacy.
Took forever to get our food but worth the wait. Excellent
Delicious meal, but music too loud unable to talk to each other during the meal, because people, to understand each other spoke loudly therefore an extremely noisy atmosphere!! Music this loud is not necessary ..it s a restaurant . not a bar :(
Amazing food, great place and nice staff! Highly recommended!
Had high expectations. Taste of the food does not match the price at all. It is very bland and mediocre. I was very disappointed as you could definitely find the same stuff or much better elsewhere. Won t be going back or recommend.
Amazing sushis, amazing service, amazing experience, every time. Ive been going there for years.
What a disappointing experience. My fiancée and I were actually excited to go there tonight for her birthday. We were met with very dry and rude service from our waitress. When asked to refill the soya sauce, we were given one from the table next to ours and it was almost empty. I asked for the complimentary ice cream for my fiancées birthday and she brought it without clearing the table of our supper! The presentation of the food and the decor was Instagram worthy, but the food itself was not nearly worth the hype Ive been hearing, and certainly not the price tag. Maybe I was unlucky, but I am certainly not coming back again.
Top of the best atmosphere welcome service everything is as we like its really to do when you are with family or friends what a great time thank you
Nice atmosphere but small portion
Best restaurant in west island.
Always the best
Always fresh and delicious, impeccable service!
I recommend!!! Very good fine cuisine.
Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly service and the food .. AMAZING!!!
We ve been going here for many years. Excellent quality sushi, great service. A little pricey but worth every penny!
Fresh and delicious food.
So hear me out .... Except that a women that served us ice cream , litterally pressured me to tip more than I already intended to, even tho Im a student .and she told me Im disrespectful to not tip the amount she wanted....like girl calm down , the other servers were good tho . Anyways , the sushis omg I loved them all we tried ; Kamikaze which is TOP flavour I loved that one , papillon ,some spicy ones , and ones with cheese cream ...it was all delicious I loved them all ( For the sushi with mango and peach , it was my least favorites so yeah the mango isnt a tropical mango so it wasnt good for me )
The best sushi in Montreal. Service is a little slow but soo worth it.
Great place
Best sushi in montreal
Best Sushi Restaurant in the West Island. Always fresh! Consistent and the service is great. The only Sushi restaurant we will eat at in the West Island.
Food was exceptionally good. Service was very good until it got really busy. Atmosphere I rated 3 because if the noise level Food : 5/5
Always delicious.
Great food and great ambiance!! A bit slow but worth it!! Food is 10/10
Most overrated restaurant ever, expensive, average sushi, everytime you go there they pack you like sardines, no space between tables, very awkward eating right next to strangers, rude waiter too, much better options in west island
The best sushi in Montreal
The meal was exquisite i will go back for sure.
Still one of my favorite sushi restaurants in MTL. Atmosphere great. Service a little slow tonight.
Very on Japanese restaurant A little expensive, but quality comes with the price. Several choices of sashimi and unique maki creations
This is my favorite restaurant in Montreal because the Japanese cuisine is simply unbeatable The atmosphere is welcoming and the incredible taste of the food makes every visit a memorable experience. Cant wait to come back for another amazing meal
Food is great. However I wasted so much time by coming here in Monday!!!! They are closed. Why wouldn t you update your website!!!!!!
A terrific atmosphere with a friendly staff, a beautiful restaurant and even more beautiful food. Its as good as it is pretty (if not more so). They make a killer martini and the sushi/maki/sashimi dinner for 2 is just the right amount of food. Fair pricing. I recommend it BUT make sure to make reservations.
Best service I have ever received. The waitress is incredibly nice and helpful.
Great atmosphere and, more importantly, extremely professional service by each of their employees, who went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I called in almost at closing time yet they still entertained me and the food got served surprisingly fast as well. As for the food, the tempura fried shrimp appetizer which included some tempura fried vegetables like kakiage as well, was close to perfect. The seared salmon was quite nice too, with a good sized serving. All in all, it was an excellent experience.
We made a reservation(party of 3) but they said the table wasn t ready and had to wait 30 min until it was ready. During the waiting we saw atleast 10 ppl in around parties of 2-3 who had a reservation and could get their table and 10 ppl that finished eating and walked out.
Loyal customer since 2007, sushi today is grotesque, see the attached images of a take-out order for nearly $200 dated October 21, 2023. Sparsely garnished sushi, disappointing quality, absurd presentation for such a price and banner. The soy and sauce containers were 1/5 full. It s actually laughing in the customers faces and very ashamed to serve such a product.
Nice ambiance, but very crowded and had to wait 30 minutes passing our reservation time. Then 45 more minutes for our order. The food was quite expensive but enjoyable. Kid-friendliness: We were not offered a kid menu options. It was quite dark inside and our kid fell asleep. Not recommended for small kids.
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was my first time trying it. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience, food, service, ambiance. Whoever created the menu is an artist. The food was incredible both in taste and in presentation. I can t wait to go back.
Amazing sushi! Truly Authentic and scrumptiously delicious. You can taste the crispness in how fresh everything is. Truly outstanding. Presentation is A1. This place is a must go to.
First off, I enjoyed an exceptional service from a man named Hao, and a bar tender named Tito. Honestly, the experience was best because of these great men. I ended up at the bar, and was treated with the best service ever from a man named Tito. And when we were at the tables, Hao made us feel like kings. I love this place, great food, great service, great restaurant. A special thanks to the owners.
You have to go eat sushi there. What an excellent restaurant. The magnificent atmosphere.
The food is delicious, but sometimes the food is really slow to be served
Hao is the best
15 years + monthly customer, but I think its time to turn the page on , Mayko was amazing but now maybe her age is affecting the business like any great hockey player there is a time to Quit amd retire and not chase money for ever.... quality of food is terrible lately / service is pathetic / portions get smaller every month / if there is any other people who agree plz like cheers and RIP mayko sushi.
Nothing special .
Top top quality sushi. Not your average good sushi. Real lobster, real crab. Best fish imported from Japan. We had this cold sake that you wont find anywhere and it just blew our minds. No doubt it is expensive but if you eat here you understand why.
The service was great. The food was absolutely fantastic. The giozas, seared Tuna and scallops appetizers were great. Though the scallops were not full size scallops but rather small slices of scallops. Had the filet mignon and it was really tasty with a bunch of delicious veggies on the side. Overall it was a great experience. Ironically I didn t try much sushi so I can t comment on that, but the rest was great. Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly
Very mediocre Japanese food especially for the price. The plating is beautiful but the rice was dry and flavourless it makes it that much more disappointing. The seafood itself was just ok... Montreal is just not very good at Asian food. But the service was top notch and the ambiance very nice. Price is rip off category.
Its one of the best a la Carte sushi restaurants Ive ever been; a little expensive but worth the money, delicious sushi, rich ingredients, and very fresh. I will surely go there again
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miko Sushi in Montreal, and it was truly a remarkable experience. My cousin, who is a local, recommended this gem, and I must say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance of Miko Sushi set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The sleek and modern décor, coupled with the subtle Japanese-inspired elements, created a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere. Now, lets talk about the star of the show the food. Miko Sushi delivered an extraordinary culinary journey that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were apparent in every bite. From the melt-in-your-mouth sashimi to the intricately crafted rolls, each dish showcased the chefs expertise and dedication to perfection. The menu offered a delightful variety, appealing to both sushi enthusiasts and those looking to explore new flavors. The service at Miko Sushi was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the timing of each course, added to the overall sense of refinement. While Miko Sushi undoubtedly stands out as a high-end sushi establishment, its worth noting that the prices reflect the quality of the ingredients and the skill involved in crafting each dish. While on the higher end, the dining experience at Miko Sushi is undoubtedly worth the investment for a special occasion or when craving an exceptional sushi experience. In conclusion, Miko Sushi in Montreal is a culinary haven for sushi enthusiasts and anyone seeking an elevated dining experience. The delicious food, excellent service, and sophisticated ambiance make it a standout choice, even with the slightly higher price point. I highly recommend Miko Sushi for a memorable and indulgent dining experience in the heart of Montreal.
The fanciest sushi place in the west island. Everything is amazing!
It was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious! My waitress left so I dont know her name but she was superb! Thank you!
It was a great à la carte sushi restaurant in West Island. Very nice decor and modern restaurant, the staff was pleasant and attended to our every needs. The sushis were great, the huge platter with different types was excellent. However, the sashimi was not very fresh that day, I hope next time I come back that it will be better. It is towards high-end sushi ($$$$) but the quality is above average.
It was my first time dining here with some friends and it was awesome
