Omnivore West Island in Dollard-Des Ormeaux

Had a wonderful evening eating at Omnivore sampling many of their dishes, and everything I sampled was delicious. Hummus, babaghanouj, fattouche, tabbouleh, battata (oven roasted seasoned cubed potatoes with garlic sauce), kibbeh and Salad were exceptionally good. The carnivore side was very tasty (chicken and beef) as well. Couldnt find any fault here, and Jay, the owner, did a great job with a good team on service and the kitchen chefs. Very nice and pleasant experience for both vegetarian (omnivores) and meat eaters (carnivores).

Sadly we left without receiving our main meal/dessert as my partner and I were looking forward to try this spot. We drove 40mins from the south shore to try Omnivore WI. As an early reservation (called Sunday), I was told to reserve at 6PM as there will be a show on the evening that night (Saturday). We got there on time and waited 2 hours until a bigger group of folks (12ppls) arrived at 8PM for the waiters to start cooking the main dishes. They could have called us beforehand and/or told us once we got there about this. Also, when there is a show, the menu is pre-set for you which means you do not get to choose what to eat. The waiters were kind and courteous which is why I gave more than 1 star. We paid for what we got (appetizer and couple drinks) and left to go to Monza pizzeria beside. We got seated right away and got our food within 20mins over there.

Best food, specially chicken sandwich, salad and Lemonade drink, amazing

They have the best garlic potatoes and toum that I ve had in a while. The service was great and the ambience was very pleasant as well. The only reason I m not giving five stars is because we found that the sandwiches were lacking in flavour and were a little bit dry. That was the main part of the meal I felt it deserved to remove a star. Just because there are so many good Shawarma places in Montreal I didn t feel like the sandwich is actually lived up to that.

I always love the food at Omnivore, but the last time disappointed me. The potatoes were overly salted and there was a lot of garlic sauce in the shawarma, which was overpowering. Kind of lost the taste of the sandwich itself. For 2 sandwiches, 1 beef hummus & 1 potato, it came down to 70$. On the pricey side for what we get. Again, usually delicious food, but for the price, I d expect the flavours to be balanced!

The pinnacle of Lebanese food! Everything is to die for! The garlic sauce is world class along with the rest of the fresh menu! Best in the west hands down!

I ve been going to Omnivore since they first opened, and the food is always excellent. The potatoes are amazing crispy and full of flavor and the Djaj wrap is very good. The staff are usually really friendly and quick. On my first visit, they even gave me free potatoes, which was a nice surprise. I gave 4 stars; my only complaint is the price. Paying around $45 (with tip) for two Djaj wraps feels a bit steep. I d definitely eat here more often if it was a bit less pricey. Overall, the food is excellent, and it s a great place to eat if you re in the area. Highly recommend!

I organized my husband s 40th birthday at Omnivore and everything was great! The food was tasty and the portions were huge! The owner and workers were super friendly and helpful, it was easy to plan , no stress. I highly recommend as a venue for a private party!

A cozy little place on St Jean. Very tasty Lebanese food. It was our first time here and we liked it. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all good. All in all, it was worth our time and money. I recommend giving it a try.

The portion size is too small big box and barely any food. The chicken was not marinated traditionally. It was a take out the first time and the last time as well.

This is a great restaurant! The food is so tasty! The staff are all proud of the restaurant and the food they serve. The decor is charming, beautiful plants, ceramic table tops, paintings, etc. making it a relaxing place to catch up with friends and family. And the food is sooo good!!!!!! Had a wonderful meal at Omnivore a few weeks ago. You must try this gem! The staff was really friendly and engaging, they offered suggestions as well. The music as on point, I loved their playlist. I was dancing in my seat. The atmosphere is beautiful, with live plants. Very clean and warm. They give you a pitcher of water at your table which I greatly appreciated. The food was phenomenal. Food quality is great, tasty and well done on the grill, atmosphere is cosy, owner passed by on every table to make sure we are satisfied with everything, the only thing is after we finished every meal, the service by waiter was a bit slow, like taking off old dishes,providing Nupkins,bread,etc.(maybe cause it was a Saturday night and they were full house), other than that, I recommend 100%...thank you Omnivore for that great experience, will re-visit for sure.

Ordered a beef sandwich and a shish taouk plate. The beef was very good while the chicken plate, not so much. It was dry, tough and under seasoned. Too bad, the beef tasted just like the one you get in the Plateau so I was expecting the same for the chicken..but for some reason, they didn t season it very well.

The food was delicious

The meal was excellent, I had a good quantity and ate well. Everything was fresh in the mouth, my mouth was so watery, unfortunately I didnt take the time to take a photo of my plate. I wont forget the next time I go back! The service was also excellent, the waitress came to check on us on several occasions and ask if we were satisfied with the meal. She took care to bring more paper napkins for my 15 month old baby who also enjoyed the meal.

There were two servers on Saturday night that went above and beyond. They took their time to explain the menu and made the whole experience delightful. We eat a lot of Lebanese food but often Montreal is reduced to fast food type places. Omnivore really takes it up a notch (the cauliflower salad is absolutely fabulous). Thanks for making our quiet date night a very nice meal with fantastic service.

Always a warm welcome and smiles from all staff; servers, cooks and kitchen staff. Joyful and pleasant decor, lots of REAL plants...tastefully decorated during holidays, but not overly so. Dont feel rushed to leave whenever is over, ok to linger, whether alone or in a group (had a small group gathering of ladies in our 50s in the winter and we appreciated being able to actually hear one another speaking unlike many other restaurants where to noise level, music or acoustics of location make it difficult to have conversations). Some of us are of mixed Lebanese origins so we really appreciated the homemade Lebanese and fusion dishes. My personal favorites are the samac (fish) sandwich and the Thai fusion (chicken instead of beef) sandwichwith peanut sauce. Love the homemade lemonade with hint of mint. Vegetarian options: Veggie options available! They can adjust ingredients also if necessary. Also, for chicken eaters eho dont eat red meat, they can use chicken instead of beef. Dietary restrictions: The chicken is halal and I believe the beef is as well. Please ask if you need. Some meals contain milk products and or peanuts. Parking: No issues with parking, free. Also an outdoor terrasse in warmer weather. Kid-friendliness: Family-oriented. Colorful decor. Some meals have peanut sauce.

Oh-my-gosh this place is a gem! Food is beyond fresh and tasty. Every bite was spectacular. Am so thankful we have this calibre of a place on the west island. Usually I m disappointed with restaurants these days -However these guys reinstated my faith in the dining experience. Bonus our server (think her name was Kelley?) was the sweetest, kindest, most attentive waitress I ve come across in years. Plus the atmosphere is a cool, unpretentious vibe . The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely, but I have to take 3 stars off because the staff doesnt understand the importance of allergies. I told the server I couldnt have dairy and asked what on the menu were safe options. They said some dishes contained mayo (mayo does not contain dairy ) and when I suggested the salad and chicken wrap she said those were fine. Cut to several hours later and Ive been dealing with the consequences of an allergic reaction... Maybe the chicken was marinated in milk/yogurt? I would have much preferred the server say that they dont know, or ask the chef, instead of having to spend a sleepless night. Its luckily not an anaphylactic allergy, so I was willing to risk it despite the sketchy answers from the server, but I cant recommend this place to anyone with dietary restrictions. Tasted good though.

We visited this place after friends recommended it and we were not disappointed. Nice and clean place, the food was amazing, our server kyrylo was very helpful explaining the different options on the menu. we shared a carnivore plate and the herbivore and every salad was fresh.

Yesterdays meal at this restaurant was pleasant, but regrettably, my husband experienced an allergic reaction to peanuts afterward, necessitating a trip to the hospital via ambulance. We ordered a variety of salads, unaware that the orzo salad contained peanuts. While we typically check ingredients meticulously, we didnt anticipate peanuts in Lebanese cuisine, particularly in a pasta salad. As someone of Middle Eastern heritage, I can attest that peanuts are not a customary ingredient in our cuisine. This presents a significant risk given the prevalence of peanut allergies. Moreover, as visitors from Boston, this unforeseen incident incurred substantial expenses and disrupted our trip. I implore the restaurant to reconsider including peanuts in their dishes to ensure the safety of their patrons. The unexpected presence of peanuts in Lebanese cuisine can catch individuals with this allergy off guard.

This place is excellent. I used to go here at their location in Plateau on St Laurent Blvd. Always tasty fresh and quality. This isnt your run of the mill fast food Amir, but if you want tasty, quick and quality Lebanese food with great portions for maybe a little bit more than your normal take out joint, then this is a must visit. Im so glad they opened in the West Island and make it a staple spot here! This place is amazing. Incredible food, vibes and hospitality. The owners explained us the menu really well and have amazing service. They came to our table multiple times to check up on us and clear our table. They even offered us tea and dessert on the house at the end of our meal. The food tasted super fresh and didnt give fast food vibes at all. We ordered 2 sandwich combos and the Kebbe and were super full at the end. They do not skimp on the portions. With the housemade lemonade and free tea and water, I left feeling super hydrated too. Will be back again!

If you know omnivore then you already know. Big location which is nice because we all know how hard it can be to get a table at one of the other locations in town big enough for the whole family! Amazing service - Milan and Hannah and the whole crew kill it! Congrats to the owners, we need omnivore in Ontario asap!

Its difficult to tell if this is meant to be fast food or sit down. If its fast food, then it takes way too long and is way too expensive. If its a sit down restaurant, the service is slow and the menus are unclear. I wanted to order something that was clearly written on the menu but was told that the menu was wrong and the meal doesnt come that way. The meats are all ground and skewered so theres very little texture on the plate. Its tough to enjoy chicken when it has the same consistency of the hummus. All in all, its incredibly expensive for a pretty small amount of food that is, unfortunately, not that great. For the same price, I could have had a feast at several other similar cuisine restaurants.

Went to Omnivore for the second time and based on both experiences, I consistently had excellent service, very solid food and an overall great experience. The restaurant does a lot of takeout, but it has a charming interior and it looks like they re building a terrace for the summer time that will be nice to sit in! It s kind of halfway between fast food and sit down in that they ll serve you if you eat there, which was nice! First time I had the Bombay and it was very tasty and fresh! I had it with a side of potatoes and garlic sauce, which was probably my favourite part! My wife had the 5-salads plate and seemed to really enjoy it! (Picture below) This time I had the carnivore with chicken and beef kefta (picture below). It was so good!!! It was also a lot of food for one person (probably meant to share) - I preferred the chicken kefta to the beef but both were good. Again had thé potatoes, not to be slept on! 100% will be back! The young lady serving us, Sydney (Sidney, Cindy? sorry) was really sweet, patient and accommodating! Restaurant seems to have overall great staff based on both experiences

Food is excellent. Place is clean the people working there are nice people. We had a Hummus plate, Beirut and Djaj sandwiches, potatoes and their lemonade. Everything was fresh and excellent. One constructive feedback for them: The staff should be a little more careful with food handling. Preparing pita bread right after handling menus without washing hands and manipulating a mobile phone right before touching food at the pass is a no no in my book. Leaving a 4 star instead of a 5 star because of this. Otherwise, the place is great. Omnivore is a refreshing option for Lebanese food and compares very well against its competitors.

Went for lunch and left super happy! What a beautiful rustic modern restaurant, loved all the plants and just enough decoration. Food was really good, we ordered a Roma sandwich with grape leaves and comnivore plate. Service was great, we were well taken care of, we will definitely be back.

The best Lebanese there is for my taste. So fresh. Ive been loving their location on St. Laurent BLVD for years, but no one seems to know about this location.

Customer service and food was great! I have not had such warm service in a long time. The portion was good; I could not finish it and took the rest home. I gave it 4 stars because its pricey. Was not expecting to pay that much after ordering. However, I would return because everything else was on point.

Thé staff was friendly and the preparation time was wasn t long at all. The food is delicious and flavourful. I tried the Thai wrap and was definitely and interesting mix of flavours. Their house lemonade was alright but it was yummy overall and would recommend!

First time at Omnivore and the food was very good I would have given a five star for the food, but we found the garlic sauce to tart. Otherwise the food was great. The chicken kafta that came with the Omnivore Platter was tasty and moist! The Chicken Djaj sandwiches were amazing and not poor on the quantity of meat. Everything was very good. And even had a Lebonese beer to go with it, which was light tasting. Parking: The restaurant is located in a strip mall which has plenty of parking.

Always friendly service, the food is delicious and the portions are generous! Pleasant atmosphere, the place is clean. It s not very big so it has a fairly intimate atmosphere.

We used Omnivore Grill catering service for a party we were hosting at home. The person I was dealing with (Gaby) was very professional and provided great service by answering all my questions promptly, providing recommendations on quantities, and accommodating us with changes. They have a wide selection of food, many healthy and vegetarian options. The food is very good, the orzo salad is absolutely delicious and was everyone s favourite. The Fattoush salad is a bit bland in taste and the cauliflower salad is tasty but a little salty but overall the food was very good. I had lunch at the new West-Island location too (see picture) before placing my order and it was very good as well!

Just went today to try it out. It was fantastic! The staff were super friendly, their food were delicious, very appealing to the eye. You have to try it out. They made you feel welcomed. Vegetarian options: I may not be the one to want vegetarian but I tried it with their dips. It was amazing! It brings it to the next level.

Wow! The experience started off strong with amazing customer service. As a first time customer, they took the time to explain the menu to me and make recommendations. My food was ready quickly (considering the kafta was made to order) and was simply fresh and extremely flavourful. I had the herbivore platter and added kafta. The salads were higher quality and more flavourful than other Lebanese chains. The orzo salad was a real surprise with peanuts and basil - delicious! Really impressed! I will definitely be back!

I have just left the restaurant I went to from Laval and frankly I am not disappointed, the place is very clean, friendly and warm decoration, courteous service, attentiveness and smiles were there, the sandwiches (djej, Beirut : crispy bread, well-marinated meats, fresh vegetables, what are the people asking for? batata and tabbouleh were succulent, the exquisite teta baklawa) to crown the good dishes, place with a refreshing homemade lemonade! I highly recommend. Nb: for the obsessive people I took a look at the kitchen it is as clean as the well-ordered room the employees wear gloves... etc so for my part its a 5 without any hesitation, good luck to all team

I started with an amazing lemonade and a few entrees: tofu/veggie patè sandwich, stuffed vine leaves and hummus & pita chips. The sandwich was okay, it was too vinegary for me and I wanted actual chucks of tofu. The hummus & chips were good but the stuffed vine leaves really stood out; the rice on the inside was flavored to perfection. For my main, I got the 5 veggie plate where essentially you choose 5 salads and small dishes. I got tabouleh, moussaka, babaganouj, vegé kebbeh and roasted potatoes. The tabbouleh, roasted potatoes and the kebbeh stood out. I only wish that the potatoes were warmer and that the kebbeh was less vinegary. The moussaka and the babaganouj lacked some flavor. All of their dessert are vegan, so I had to try them all. I got the maamol (date paste cookie), baklava and nammoura (semolina cake). The baklava took first place, the other two were a little dry but had flavor. Great place, great experience overall.

ONE OF THE BEST LEBANESE PLACES IVE EVER BEEN TO. the food was so delicious and so great for its price! the service was incredibly warm and helpful! the decor was so so pretty and the music was wonderful. one of my FAVOURITE restaurants of all time,, would def recommend!!

I discovered this place by accident. I was driving by and saw it. Wanted to know what PM s e that was. Very FRESH food. Very tasty. Unique flavours. Salads were FRESH too. Very clean place. Very courteous service. Bravo! Vegetarian options: I have not tried the veggie options as yet but I tend to in the near future

I order the djaj sandwich every time I go, it s delicious. The people who work there are friendly, the music is good, all around good vibes. If you haven t gone yet, you re missing out

I went last night with a large group of 24 people and it was amazing! An impressive menu and many vegetarian options as well. Great prices, menu and cute decor. The Djaj sandwich was good. The Beirut sandwich wasnt great. The battata (potatoes) were pretty plain and not crispy. The garlic sauce was good.

Best Lebanese/middle eastern food in WI. Tried their vegetarian options Arrez and salad plate. Amazingly delicious and slightly different from the usual Lebanese stuff. Highly recommend them. Vegetarian options: Arrez is a must try!

We went in the evening for a dinner and the service was good at first but eventually it seemed as though the waiter just disappeared. We sat for quite a while chatting, and eventually went to ask for our bills. The other thing that was difficult was that it was freezing cold near the window. The food was good though everybody was happy with what they had. Vegetarian options: Im not sure if its strictly vegetarian but they certainly do have salads and hummus Parking: There are a lot of spots but they are right in front of the restaurant

HIGHLY RECOMMEND OMNIVORE!!! Such an amazing restaurant that everyone needs to try at least once in their life! Food was absolutely delicious and a very good price. Staff was patient and kind. Cute atmosphere and decor, loved the vibes. Will 100% be returning soon.

The best Lebanese by far. The food just always tastes so fresh, the staff is so friendly and attentive, and we have literally never had a bad meal. The djaj sandwich is amazing, and I love the trio which comes with spicy potatoes and fresh lemonade. The servers always go above and beyond and we often get free hummus and homemade pita chips when we go there for lunch.

Was super excited to finally go grab food from omnivore. This is one of my favourite restaurants in the plateau. Unfortunately I am left disappointed. The food and service at the Plateau and even PVM location is much better. My sandwich was good but the potatoes are soggy, like they d been sitting there all day. I waited 35(!!!!) minutes to leave with my takeout order they weren t even sure was right. A guy walked in 15 mins later than me and was served before me. Multiple Uber eats drivers, call in orders, all served before me. Whether they forgot my order, messed it up, no problem, but let your customer know what the reason is for the delay ahead of time rather than apologizing for it when the order is ready.
