I had a Horrible experience. I felt discriminated. A few days ago, I was being serve by what seemed to be a nice gentleman, when the older "cook" took one look at me and rush out to take off half the meat and give me the dry scraps from behind. The original cook explained i ordered extra meat. The older guy took the plate away from him in anger . Like there's no way "this guy" is getting the good stuff. Couldn't believe my eyes. In multi cultural west island. Been going for years. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. You saved 2$ worth of meat but lost a family of customers for life.
I’ve been eating here for over ten years. Delicious, fresh fast food. They take care to keep their quality high and consistent. Great people. Family run restaurant. I’ll definitely be back.
The food is always great and looking fresh, even during the less busy times of the day. Potatoes could be crispier, but they are usually warm and well seasoned so it's not a big deal. The service is always impeccable and plates are dressed just how you ask them to be. The interior of the restaurant is outdated, but clean.
This was a lunch hour rush visit so I expected hot food. The potatoes were actually cold and the meat was very dry and tasted old. Surprisingly the lettuce and turnip was extremely fresh. But the meal was ruined since the main meat of the mixed plate was cold and tasted off. Another unusual finding was the more than usual yellow tone of the potatoes. Although the garlic sauce was excellent, there was no way to make up for the temperature and lack of taste. Usually they are golden brown, warm and a bit crispy. I hope this was an odd visit, but I was very disappointed with the quality of food. Update: The hummus was lousy, and the meat was definitely off. I had to throw it out. It did not sit well.
For around 12-13$ a trio, the portions are pretty good and filling. I was having trouble finishing my pita trio but I was looking over at my friend finishing their Shish Taouk plate which was pretty massive. So maybe it's just me that has a smaller appetite. Even then, the plates had so much food for around 16$ which is pretty nice. The thing that bothered me though was probably that the pita was lacking a bit in flavours and the meats were a bit dry. It might be because we ordered it as a delivery but the flavours still seemed a bit more on the lighter side to me. The potatoes were pretty good, flavourful and soft with a light crisp exterior which was great.
I have been coming to this Basha location for many years and my favorite thing to order is the chicken shish tawook plate. The chicken and potatoes amazing ! Always greeted with a friendly welcome. It's nice to see that they renovated as it was time for a new updated look. When I get Basha, I always think about going to this location over other ones for it's consistent service!
Wow, they really load it up here and the flavours are amazing! My go-to spot from now on!!! Their salad game for tabbouleh and the eggplant are out of this world. Just made to perfection! Meats have a high turnover so you’re always getting everything fresh. Definitely planning to go again this week after visiting twice in the past 9 days already lol
2022 - 2024 Update: First off, I get food here regularly these days and, of course, the staff are always good to me and my brother. They renovated the store and now have the poutine! You can replace the fries with their garlic potatoes and it is absolutely worth it. I tried the large serving, got some spicy sauce and vegetables. It is AMAZING. I included a photo, too. And now you guys got Boustan beat on the poutine game as well, haha. Thanks so much again for being awesome. This is THE go-to for me when I want to get some shawarma, shish-taouk, etc. I used to go to the Boustan on boul Saint-Jean, since they used to give HUGE portions, but that changed. This place has the quality and value at the top, and some of the most chill people working there. I usually go with the mixed plate and the portion size is huge! Well worth the money. Love the flavor of the meat and potatoes. Hummus, well it's always good! There's an Amir and even another Boustan really close to it; I'll take this place over those any day! Except Boustan has them beat on the garlic potato poutine (update: see above). Some far away Basha locations do have the special poutine, so please get on that, Basha Des Sources! Anyway, love this place, and I go there often. I hope they never reduce the quantity and quality feat.
Ahmed and his employees always providing a nice service. They are generous with their food, clean and very tasty.
Fantastic food however I asked the guy today to put potatoes on the side inside of in plate and got reamed at front desk by uncle - he said I need to pay full price for side of potatoes and proceeds to make me a new smaller plate to compensate for all the extra I received for free. I told him I ve been a customer for a decade and I don t want potatoes nor do I have time for him to make me a new plate I ll just pay extra to cover for YOUR mistake - didn t care, took the plate to the back and started making a new one.
The food was so delicious. I grew up eating Levantine cuisine (Syria/Lebanon).The service was top notch. Sahar was so sweet and welcoming. I wish we had this restaurant in Southern California.

My boss told me about this particular Basha location last week..... I was amazed at all the containers filled with all their fresh salads...... at 5h15 pm! I never experienced a Lebanese restaurant with such fresh food this late in the day. Besides that, they still use the pre-covid large aluminum plates for take out..... so you get generous portions of their fresh food.....no shrinkflation at Basha Service was great with friendly staff! Im glad I found this place...... like Arnold would say...... Ill Be Back! Vegetarian options: All sorts of delicious salads...... all fresh!

I usually prefer Basha but not sure what happened tonight. The meat had no flavour at all, especially the chicken, and it was cold. Half the mixed plate was filled with rice. The shish taouk sandwich was also tasteless. Too bad.

The new guy at the front is surprisingly rude and unprofessional. We were dining in as a family when we heard him complain in front of the whole restaurant to the delivery driver about the amount a customer had just tipped him, WHILE the customer was still sitting at the restaurant. Another time I called at 9pm to place an order for pick up, and told them I would pick up at 9:20 pm. Then, I called my husband and he let me know he already ordered delivery from elsewhere. I called them back at 9:06 pm, 14 minutes before the time I said I would pick up, and he tells me he already prepared my order (2 plates and 2 sandwiches in 6 minutes, that were supposedly going to be hot and fresh when I got them in like 15 mins). I said I just placed it 6 minutes ago Im not sure how you already prepared the whole order when Im not picking up for another 15 mins but Im sorry I wont be able to pick up. He starts yelling at me and orders me to talk to the managerto whom I explain the same thing. I said I would call back my husband and see what we could do but Im surprised that with that tone and with food they were gonna serve me cold, they really expected me to bend over backwards for them

Fantastic food at a good price. This place is def. one of the best quality quick pick up places in the West Island. The food is fresh and the quality is outstanding. Lots of choices. The salad selection is a highlight. Friendly staff. Compared to Amir, Subway, etc, this place is a cut above, no question.
I use to go very often but then the Ubers and DoorDash became really important so I decided to give my money to someone that cares if Im inside the actual business. Dont get me wrong a customer, is a customer but you should have a system where you let the customers inside the restaurant know that youre not ignoring them, youre just taking care of other customers that are not in the store. I always take the same thing so I cant speak for the rest of it. You use to get lettuce with your shish taouk plate now you get the heart of the iceberg lettuce, if youre lucky to have anything green its in very small quantity. I dont take or like any of the other veggies so my lettuce is pretty important to me. Also, half the time the lettuce is rusty, like you cut it two days ago? I went there today, was going to buy two plates, I came in, there was this other guy ordering already so I go in line and wait my turn. Now that it is, this guy comes out of the bathroom and gets served right away. Umm, arent I next? Well, he was here first, he was just in the bathroom. The end.

I have been eating here since the age of 16. Each time when I come down to Montreal, I constantly indulge myself with Lebanese and not just any other Lebanese food. Basha! Fresh food, fresh ingredients, always a treat coming at this location. Please, DO NOT CHANGE INGREDIENTS!
The food is always great - Never would I dream of complaining! Also, I have to mention the woman at the front, who answers the phones when taking an order for delivery! Shes AMAZING and thats a complete understatement! Whenever I order for my son, I ask for the chicken to be done a certain way and she delivers EVERY single time! Shes kind, courteous, friendly and SOOOO respectful! Great environment!

I recently ordered tabbouleh from this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was too sour and lacked the traditional burghul and was overloaded with red onions. My taste buds disappointed.

Fast service. The staff is courteous and kind. I had a charwamar but I think he forgot to add the hot sauce. Still, it was delicious. On the other hand, the simple poutine is too salty. I was craving a chicken shawarma plate and a quick Google search found this restaurant in the area. The other reviews are correct. The staff here are extremely polite and ensure you have a great experience. The food was prepared neatly and quick so we didnt have to wait long at all. The food was also delicious!
They used to be one of my go-tos but unfortunately the inconsistency in the quality of food and customer service is not worth it anymore. For the past few months, every order has been a hit or miss and the restaurant, when at fault, has been disappointing in terms of customer service.

Hands down THE best take out Lebanese food. Always fresh, they know how to make salads really well! Their Taboulé is lemony and fresh, avocado salad = delicious! Their Shawarma/Shish Taouk are amazing, well seasoned. We often like to take out but stay away from the junk food, so we go to Basha DDO. We picked up again yesterday a plate of crispy meat and fresh salads, everything was fantastic! They are always consistent!

Very disappointed. An open scam. the quality-price ratio is low even more the quantity-price ratio. A few chicken crumbs at full price. In addition, we get charged tip for lousy service. I wont go back there again.

Oh my gosh. The waiter here made my day I am obsessed with pickled turnip and shared this with my waiter; well dont you know on top of my sandwich, he gave me a full homemade jar of turnip. Best dang turnip ever! I ate more than half the jar in the 1st afternoon my bathroom breaks were an amusing shade of pink the next day

This is my go-to restaurant for Shish Taouk. Their dishes have been consistently very good, their potatoes well seasoned, and the amount of food we get for the price is excellent. The staff is efficient, though on evenings they tend to get very busy.

There are absolutely no preventive measures taken against covid. One of the employees even touched his mouth just before starting to make shishtaouk again... Personally I would not go there again without being certain that they are making efforts to limit the spread of the virus.

Without a doubt some of the most delicious comfort food Ive had in the Montreal area. Portion sizes are plentiful. On top of that, the staff are wonderful human beings. Even called me when I accidentally ordered something that contained gluten, since I stated in the order notes that I cant have gluten. They go above and beyond. Love this place!

And both the shish taouk and shawarma is amazing Then last night I used their catering servive for the first time for 50th wedding anniversary celebration and both the food and service was phenomenal.
