4230 Boul. Saint-Jean Suite 107, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec H9H 3X4, Canada
Filipino comfort food, asian fusion cuisine.
I Came here for a Christmas party on 14 Dec in the evening. Here is my opinion: Good: A) The Food is good has flavour and the Lechon was crispy and not that bitter. They also have some Chinese dishes as well. B) The Restaurant has a good vibe. It has a kareoke and a stage for performing many Filipino things inside etc. C) Washroom is cleaned and hope they maintain it. D) The Restaurant is in good location not far from the Highway and Public transportation is accessible. Bad: A) The entrance is a little awkward as it is in a building with another restaurant and have offices. But it’s in the front. B) Parking is a challenge as they share it with La Perle especially on a busy time. C) The restaurant is tiny so they can close the restaurant if there is a group or event. D) The winter time it can get quite cold inside as no double doors or heating was maintained. E) Customer service is neutral the person in charge must be more active like cleaning or pickup plates or just doing stuff instead of just sitting near the door. Conclusion. Very good Filipino restaurant. It met some of my expectations and I hope to come here one day and try it again. I was satisfied with the restaurant the interior and service. God Bless Cebu’s taste God bless the people that maintain it.
No because what was this? They didnt have any traditional filipino food that you would expect. And the quality of food was just bad. Not inclusive with choices of meat. They were advertising halo-halo but not serving it lol. We had pancit, adobo & fried rice. It was not tasty or appetizing. I do not recommend it at all, and the price paid was not worth it.
Ordered online. Received an unsealed platter, that was shaky and wouldn’t stay close which is super unsanitary. The shrimp had no spices, just bland, boiled and pasty which means they’re frozen not fresh. The skewers were dry and were way overcooked, like rubbery type of overcooked they also had a very metal-ish aftertaste. The rice had a weird metal-ish aftertaste as well, it didn’t taste as if it was just made. The pork belly was like 90% fat and 10% meat. The noodles were ok at best. The whole platter plus a combo with skewers costed like 90$ with delivery and it wasn’t worth more than 20-30$. Definitely a let down.
Great food for takeout! Must try the pork belly(Lechon)! Yum! The dumplings and egg rolls are delicious, too! Well seasoned and filled with meat at a reasonable price.
Ordered food through google map, they did not get it but they still prepared the food for us, even tho it was their closing time. Big up guys! And the Food was great. Got both pancit, skewer and saomai, no disapointement. Would go back for sure to eat in house.
Real good food😍 we were actually looking for a good lechon around montreal and this resto has the real deal when it comes to it! We also had the sinigang na hipon (shrimp soup). Servings are big too. The place was cozy and friendly staffs. You can also order lechon in advance for big occasions. A must visit place!♥️
Went here for my mother’s birthday and it felt like they were celebrating with us! Thank you for the top-quality service and the excellent authentic Filipino cuisine!! We had the cebuchon, fried chicken with fries, miki noodles (pancit), lumpia, fried Cebu rice, and dinuguan.
Nice set up. Great home cooking. Tried the cebuchon, lumpia and fried chicken spaghetti combo. Very filling. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely go back and try other dishes!!! Great work!!!
The best pinoy food in town!! Must try!! We will come back again for sure! Thank you guys!
food was very good and the atmosphere reminded me of a home restaurant which makes it friendly Parking: lots of space Kid-friendliness: kids were having lots of fun making this place extremely friendly
Very relaxing ambiance and friendly staff Loved the foods, it s satisfying specially Halo-halo, recommended. Pinoys who are longing Filipino foods, this is the place. c mon in!
Try there HALO-HALO! It s really a must try!
You could immediately tell the food was not fresh ..
Must try if you are in Montreal. Brings back memories back home (Cebu, Philippines). Worth the 2 hour drive. Will definitely come back with more friends. God bless and KUDOS bai ian! Recommendation: Try everything on the menu with the whole family/friends
Me and my husband arrived in the middle of a family party, the whole restaurant was reserved and we were immediately seated and taken care of regardless. The food was delicious, we tried the traditional order with a bit of everything on it. there was a live band and they were very good. and we were included in the activities and merry-making. I would love to go again.
Ordered whole lechon for a special occasion. Was very satisfied with not just the food but also with the great customer service. The lechon was delivered on time and it tasted good It was a hit even among my quebecois guests. Will highly recommend.
I had tried the lechon when they sold it at a festival and I had loved it, but now that I tried it in their restaurant it was not the same flavor, I hope they return to their recipe that they used previously.
Accommodation is excellent, food taste makes you say Delisyos, cozy and vibrant environment. Parking: Would recommend this restaurant, Kid-friendliness: With baby chair to sit on
The service was friendly and professional. We ordered both a fish and pork platter and it was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!! Vegetarian options: Not sure Dietary restrictions: We have many allergies and they were very accommodating. Parking: Lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Good options in the platters.
Lovely place, very friendly staff and the food was delicious, I highly suggest stopping by this place!!! Vegetarian options: All kinds of choices Parking: Nice amount of parking space Kid-friendliness: Very nice vibe, music, and there s even a stage to sing if you wanted to.
Good ambience. Little bit pricey for the goods like pastillas, yema.
Yum yum! The siomai and fish were the star dishes! Will definitely go back to order those.
Great service and communication with the owner. The food was very delicious and fresh. We got some platters and 11 pounder lechon and everything was sooo good. I recommend this place without hesitation. Thanks Food
Good place for quick lunch
Ordered their General Tao $18 after tax, which Ive ordered from restaurants all over Montreal and North America. I even make my own. This was neither crispy, spicy nor sweet. It was too salty and rubbery. I would stick to their Philipino dishes, Im sure theyre great.
A Great Filipino Comfort food specializing the Cebuano cuisine
10/10! Loved the lechon skin (sooo crispy) and dinuguan. Feels like home hopefully they ll have a branch closer. Would def come back.
Food was delicious. This was the 2nd time I ordered lechon but unfortunately it s the same as my first time that only a few portion of the skin was crispy. Someone called me that my order was ready but when I got there, I still had to wait for about 10mins. Overall the food is really good! I will still order back again but hopefully I won t have the same experience.
the interior was beautiful and the service was fast but the food we ordered (chicken inasal and dinuguan) was really bland for a somewhat expensive price . We felt disappointed with what we ordered.
Best Visayan food taste in Canada. Very homey. Everytime I travel to Montreal I always try to drop by and eat here. Was there yesterday so yummy. Food : 5/5 |
It was my first Philippines dish I ever tried I really liked both of them ...only thing I gotta say is make sure to post if you can full ingredients I ordered thinking it had no onions (my personal turn off ) but the meal was amazing regardless just had to be a bit picky ... it had a good citrus / seasoning taste to it as described and the pork bbq skewers were good I recommend eating few pieces Salamat .
Not worth it. I ordered a lechon for a party and was told that a large could easily feed 30-40 people. When I received my order, the pig was SO SMALL. I was sure that they must have mixed up the size, because it looked like a PIGLET, the portion could barely feed 30 people. Impossible that what I received should be considered a large, it was barely a medium size. I called the restaurant to ask if there was a mistake. I was told that they would check my order and call me back. They never did. Truly disappointed. I paid a lot of money for so little. I wont be ordering from them anymore. DONT RECOMMEND
We had the Cebuchan and inasal platters. It did not disappoint! Highly recommend Cebus Taste!
Best Sisig Ive ever had! Super authentic tasting Cebuano food, everything was so very delicious. Siomai was top notch too, cant wait to go back.
Closed on Monday. Only found this out after getting to the restaurant.
Tasty and cheap
It was delicious I really enjoyed my evening
I ordered for take out I m so excited to pick it up . I was surprised! The lechon is not crispy terrible the texture is rubbery and is not really fresh if you guys said the lechon is good .you don t know how to taste the real lechon .I m very disappointed I will not come back again..:
Great food and customer service. I had ask something that wasnt on their menu and they were nice enough to do it. Food is amazing!
Little place. No fancy decor of anything like that. Its all about the food. You really have the impression of being in Philippines with their warmth and fun loving attitude. Great place! Likely the best place in Montreal for authentic Philippino food! The cebuchon platter and the seafood platter are excellent! Make yourself a treat and try this great Philippino restaurant!!!!!
Simply outstanding food and service. So friendly, live music, fair pricing. This is a must is you miss phillipines food or someone trying it for the fist time. You must try this restaurant
Came here for the first time for a family celebration and the food and vibe are filipino-legit. Growing-up with visayan family, Cebu s Taste surely felt like home. Kuya Ian and the staff made sure all the guests felt like so. If there s no band playing, get your vocal chords ready for a good ol fashioned after dinner karaoke.
Feels like being at my home town of Cebu City!
Food wasnt that great according to my standard.. the lechon was salty.. pansit wasnt my preference.. the experience with my family was awesome! Cool concept inside.. Parking: A lot of spots to park
Food is ok but when comes for take out poor service called for orders pick up really ahead of time but upon arrived the order is not yet preapared always forgotten and fyi that is the time they will only preapared it happens almost 3 times hope they improved this kind of simple services...thanks
The lechon was tasty and crunchy. We also ordered humba but somehow got a paksiw? We didnt mind because it was still good. Other than that I have been here a hand full of times and generally the food is good.
We ordered a lechon for my 50th birthday and it was the best Ive had in Montreal. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere! Good food and music had a great time!
Made a special trip this time. Killing some time before an appointment to meet with friends. Great food, great service. Ended up grabbing some take out to bring to our friends.
Love the place and really good Filipino food! dont think twice, just visit them!
Food was great! Quick and friendly service. We got the pork sisig and the sweet and sour soup to share and the portion was perfect. Definitely recommend if you re craving filipino food in the West Island. A must.
We always come here everytime we miss filipino foods. Cebus taste is an authentic cebu palates. You can enjoy their band or sing karaoke on weekends. Feels like home. Bon appetit

Taste really delicious. Taste like home. All my québécois friends love it, and theyre shocked when they saw the whole lechon in the first time.
Expensive, food was okay but nothing to write home about. We ordered a platter buy many items in the menu were missing. I would not go back.
Food was amazing!!
The food is good. Staff very polite love going there again for jamming and music. And food again. Cant get over with the dessert.
The lechon was on point and the calamari was fresh! Seafood platter was awesome! Kid-friendliness: Place was decorated for the family.
feels like home at cebu taste

Food is great but the service needs improvement
Cebuchon (Small) was delicious. Excellent value for the price. The same goes for the sisig, which was also very tasty. Called in our order when they opened around 11am and it was ready in about an hour. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended
Very good bbq pork must try
Very tasty.
Its so worth it. Its worth our visit. This restaurant is amazing! We tried BBQ balbacua, or cebuchon belly. It really is savory and delicious. We will be back soon. Mura raka and is in Colon or Manalili. The owners are very warm and welcoming as well. 5 stars well deserved. Congrats Cebus Taste.
Excellent - the service, the food, the authenticity. We did take out and loved every morsel. Thank you!
Very delicious Filipino food! The lechon is very tasty.
