3616 Boul. Saint-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9G 1X1, Canada
Staple open 24 hours serving hefty plates of comfort food like smoked-meat sandwiches & BBQ chicken.
we received a glass of water with debris that looked like thin fennel stalks. there was quite a bit peeled off inside the glass. We asked the waitress to comment on the kitchen. She emptied the glass in front of us and continued her service as if nothing had happened.. The kitchen didn't give us the impression of cleanliness... we saw a person come in with a coat and a hat.. And the prices have increased quite a bit.,.
Food was alright, not the best smoked meat I've had, fat is too hard, it's not melt in your mouth unfortunately. The fries and pickle were great. Service was ok.. please fix the men's bathroom.
Old school deli and restaurant. Opened 24 hours. Large parking lot, easy to find a space, the entrance is around the front. We went in for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday around 10:30am. No wait to sit down. Service was friendly and helpful answering questions we had about the menus. Coffee and water was quickly served while we settle on what to order. The decor is old school deli/bar counter as well as leather booths. The lights above the booths have Chenoy 1936 emblazoned on them. Good variety of selections, have a separate breakfast menu as well. The smoked meat is available in different items throughout the menu. Had the smoked meat omelet, and the big boy breakfast combo. Food came out quickly, hit the spot. If I came again I'd definitely have the smoked meat sandwich. The meat in the omelet had a nice classic smoked meat flavor.
We stopped in for lunch and ordered cheeseburgers and fries plated with coleslaw and pickles. I know it's a simple meal, but it was presented well and tasted great. The decor is of another time, but the standards were what I remembered as a youth. Their menu has quite a large variety. The atmosphere is relaxing, and I can understand why it has been in business for decades.
The pizza with the smoked meat was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was also super nice and friendly. Will be back asap
I would have given 5 star if the fries were good. We left all of our fries on the plates for both of our meals unfortunately. Other then that the sandwiches were both tasty, the french onion soup was ok, wouldn't order it again. Stick to the smoked meat folks.
I tried chicken poutine. Chicken was really dry and no flavour. Fries, gravy and cheese are delicious. Friendly customer service Beautiful, neat and clean place Plenty of free parking
At first, I thought the portions were quite small for a 40$ trio but it ended up being quite a meal and with a decent amount of leftovers. The fries were a bit soggy, maybe due to it being delivered, and the wings were normal. The smoked meat was good, quite tender, but I would have preferred it more if the meat had more fat in it. The coleslaw was good and the bread was alright. My favourite part was definitely ribs. It was glazed with amazing flavours and the slightly charred exterior made the ribs so addictive. It complemented the tender meat so amazingly and it was quite delicious. On the other hand, I was quite disappointed in the Strawberry shortcake. For one slice to be charging 9$, the cake was really underwhelming. The strawberry itself barely had any flavours and the texture of it was weird. The sponge cake itself was soggy and the texture was also a bit off. It wasn't an amazing dessert following the great ribs. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal for a reasonable price. I wish they had a better ratio of vegetables in their trio but that is probably just me. Their menu offers such a wide selection of meals, it is a great place for a larger party as everyone can easily find something they enjoy.
Great service and friendly atmosphere. Thank you for allowing me to ride down memory lane
Great Authentic Montreal Smoked Meat!!
Great smoked meat! Traditional dinner, this is a great place to eat.
Best place for smoked meat...I love their Old Fashion Smoked Meat and Cheese Cake Wheelchair accessibility: Parking for disabled stickers available, access to the restaurant for people with restricted mobility and wheelchairs also (Ground floor).
Its changed so much over the years. So sad
Dirty and unmaintained physical locations inside and out. Fries rendered frozen.
Ok
Best cheese cake u will ever eat steak was great
Great food and service to bad no locations in Ontario.
Really good old school diner.
Local friends brought us here right after our flight to try our first proper smoked meat sandwich and did not disappoint. Friday evening, it was quite quiet. The decor is very old school diner complete with vinyl booths, stained glass lamps (love!) and lovely service. We ordered the original smoked meat sandwich platter with some shrimp and steak and upgraded to a poutine of course. The sandwich was quite tasty but the steak was a little dry. Not surprising as we didnt come here for the steak. Loved the poutine though. A must try! We also ordered a cheesecake to go on the road with us to share with some friends and OMG is it heavy and dense! True deli cafe style. I love my cheesecake but I couldnt finish my slice sadly.
Some of the best smoked meat Ive had in a while...better than overated Smoked meat pete..IMHO !
A little dated but the food and service was good.
Amazing service with Joseph
Great, as always
Dinner atmosphere Efficient service and good menu with interesting choices for those hungry. Wheelchair accessibility: First floor
Amazing food , wonderfull service and always fairly priced
Best Montreal smoked meat.
this place aint it. smoke meat sandwich is some weak sauce and the fries they give are even worse. like those fries were equivalent to frozen McCain crispy fries. Food : 1/5
server was friendly and the food was great. My parents wanted good montreal smoked meat and they werent disappointed. We liked the family-friendly deli vibe. I ate the fish and chips which were super yummy too.
Eating at Chenoys was meant to be a trip down memory lane...Chenoys is barely a shadow of what it used to be. It was disappointing and under whelming after an almost 20 yr. absence from living in the area. Perhaps my memories are slightly tainted on the nostalgia- however, even as a stand alone dining experience it paled to a number of similar deli style restaurants. I ordered the Jumbo Plate. It was less meat than I was told (definitely Not the 1 lb they told me before ordering)... the rest of the meal was made up of lots of fries (over compensation?) And a decent side coleslaw. All in all - Quite Over Priced! While the food quality was good, I could not say it was exceptional in any way. As far as atmosphere- the place was and seems dead every time I go by it.
The smoked meat was very very good Parking: Very easy to access directly on the site where the restaurant is located
Fantastic cheesecake, fudge cake and carrot cake!!!! The sitting area could do with some renovations. Food
Chenoy s Deli never disappoints! Whenever we pass through the West Island, we always stop here even if just for take out. Generous portions, delicious smoked meat, and you have to try a slice of their strawberry cheesecake (if you ve got room!) It s a shame they re not open 24 hours anymore, but a definite stop if you can!
Ordered 2 Exprees Smoked Meat sandwich which were awesome. Pickle was awesome and the coleslaw is the only coleslaw I will eat. I love it. Would have given 5 star but unfortunately, this express order got into a jam and had to wait longer than usual. Dont know why. Ill still go back!
Food was good but lacking heat. Renovations look good.
Great smoked meat
Still great. Lunch time and were alone. Service was very attentive. Shared old fashion and regular smoked meat plates, both tasty, but older was better.
smoke meat was awful it looks like he gave me and my friend the rests it was hard and inedible
Great smoke meat.
Delicious meats! Would go back anytime
For their smoked meat and deli, as well as cheesecake, its great. They have the best smoked meat on the west island, better than Petes. The rest of the food is mediocre, and although the service is friendly, its very slow. The decor could use an update as well. Parking: Lots of spots and handicapped near the front.
Lena was amazing, great service!
Lena was our waitress and was amazing - excellent smoked meat too
Very good service
Service is good as well as the meal.
Awesome smoked meat!
My smoked meat was fatty, ask for extra lean. English-speaking restaurant but continued in French when they noticed that we were responding in French.
Love it. Wish they werent disappearing at this pace. I urge everyone to pay them a visit once in a while.
A must go if visiting Montreal
Got my comfort food fix last night we always enjoy our food and with Sara our waitress it was really fun .
During my recent trip to Montreal, I swung by Chenoys for a smoke meat sandwich. The meat was kinda dry, but alright. Thinking of treating my son, I ordered two pounds to go, not even checking the price since most spots around here charge around $26.55 per pound. Well, when the bill came, it was a punch in the gut $75 for those two pounds! Shocked, but with a tight schedule before hitting the road back to Toronto, I just paid up and split. Back in Toronto, I hyped up the smoked meat to my son. He was stoked. But when he cracked open the package the next day, it was a letdown. I mean, this stuff was worse than bargain bin quality. Fatty, dry, and barely pink. Couldnt even take it back since I was out of town. Straight to the trash with $75 down the drain. Not only was the restaurant service a letdown, but getting ripped off like that was just the cherry on top of this disappointing sundae. Bad on Chenoys for taking advantage of out-of-towners and ripping them off.
We went to eat today at Chenoys in the beginning everything was okay with the appetizers till the time we order our meals. We order a daily twist rice cooked in the microwave chicken one side cook the other side not cooked Shrimps over cooked But the worst is when I order my plate Monte Carlo London stake we ask for medium the broaded rare one side cooked the other side not cooked rice in the microwave Shrimps overcooked smoke meat we ask thin and lean and when we complain the took or played and put it in the basket of the dishes and they said they will make another one. The cook came out took the plate from the dirty dishes and we see him taking the London steak and the shrimps cooking it again and putting it back to my plate and serve it .When I ask for a manager or a boss They told me its nobody there. Thats what happened when a boss is not in the restaurant I was expecting more I guess thats why all the other one closed down
Food and service top notch. If you like matzoh ball soup, GO!!
Oh boy, where do I start? First off the place smells horrific, the service was terrible with this absolute hag complaining about not getting enough tips next we waited 2 hours to just order and it took an extra 30 minutes to get our food. I ordered chicken tenders with somehow were dry as hell and oily on the outside. The fries were not salted and the chicken was bland. Overall genuinely horrendous
Smoked meat brought back teenage memories. Still a great place to eat!
I don t like the attitude of the waitress, she s implying a weird image, when ordering the food, she s like: just one eating? Just sandwich only? I could feel how impatient she was from the very first second I stepped into the door.
terrible smoke sliced in big thick slams stale bread. thats the last time for me
Back after a long time and good to see that the smoked meat sandwich was as good as I remembered. Will definitely go more often.
I ate the best I could ever get sick
Makes very lean if you ask and big sandwiches if you ask for the super sandwich.
Great service, food was excellent. I would recommend that you ask for Vivian to serve you. Each time here the service is amazing.
Terrible food. Worst smoked meat Ive ever had. Small portions for the price. The atmosphere is dreary, like the place is stuck in the 80s. Not very clean.
Classics never die!!! Feels like coming home! Food is excellent, exceptional service. Thank you Sara for your wonderful hospitality! Vegetarian options: Plenty of choices. Parking: Plenty of parking to accommodate a special event or celebration. Kid-friendliness: Its known for a great family restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: All on the same level.
Excellent milkshakes, thick and creamy. Fries were delicious. *Updated #2 I enjoyed my dinner so much last time I came back this week, I ordered a grilled chicken it was juicy and perfectly cooked, the bun however was overcooked. I also asked for cheese to be added to my chicken burger there was a charge of $3 for 1 piece of cheese. This time the fries were frozen kind, not good at all. Not sure how the fries can change from week to week?? Disappointed cause they were really good last time. Once again the service was great. This restaurant does feel like its stuck in a time warp, nothing has changed over the years except the prices. Needs an update, and I found it a bit dingy too. Bathrooms are the worst extremely small - broken down - no handicap washroom either.
Wheelchair accessibility: Good access, handicapped parking and seating. Bathroom is not accessible. Food
Nostalgia. Grew up off Gouin. Used to be a family haunt for us. When we moved from Montreal to Ottawa....it was the last meal we had. 30 years later, my mom, my partner etc...still take the trip for Smoked Meat. Worth it. Never change!
Food was good, service was satisfactory, but it was so cold in the restaurant that we had to eat with our jackets on.
The menu has no photos, especially for those who do not speak the language. I asked for a Chinese roll with the Montreal meat .... came full of fat and without flavor !!! In addition to paying 14 dollars for 2 greasy rolls.
Me and my wife went to chenoy at st jean yesterday on Saturday and its been a long time since i last visited. The smoke meat was the same as it used to be long ago and we were served by a young guy named vivian or viv i think. He took care of us and was really impressed how professional and nice he was to us. Definitely a good place to get smoke meat
Walked in to buy smoked meat. Didnt stay to eat. Atmosphere is one that take you back alittle bit. Service was good at the time. Their smoked meat are comparable to that of others around but this was in and around our area
From the outset, my steps towards Chenoys were marked with concern, fueled by stubborn prejudices towards West Island gastronomy. Moreover, twenty years had passed since I relegated this gloomy restaurant, perceived as low-end, to a simple street view. However, the recent praise from a reviewer on a reputable site praising the quality of smoked meat piqued my curiosity, despite my fears sparked by other reviews and high advertised prices. The funny thing is that the concern was shared! In fact, I gave the owners a cold sweat when they saw me camera in hand. A zealous person who came to take photos and then write a slanderous review left them with a bitter taste. So, a taciturn employee (I know, because he served me) saw me, interrupted his dinner break and reported my activity to one of the owners (or their daughter?) who approached me. Far from reprehensible or outrageous behavior, this resulted in a warm exchange and a history lesson on the restaurant. So I learned several interesting details, such as their choice of music adapted to the age of the customers (this time, luckily, it was around the 70s), the fact that they regularly have new customers ...old, and that at one time, lines of cars formed in front of their doors, because they were one of only three restaurants in the area. Above all, I appreciated the exchange tinged with frankness and humanity with the admission that they sometimes have bad days like everyone else and that it is enough to speak to them directly to find relief from his troubles. Also, my kind interlocutor mentioned a few times the idea of refreshing the dining room, the old look of which has been preserved. In reality, I find that this gives the place a soul that it would be a shame to sacrifice for the sole frivolous aesthetics of a childish societal fringe in search of attention. Now, you will definitely want to know my impressions of the menu which featured Chinese spaghetti, hamburgers, pizzas and so on. I stuck to the specialty , the smoked meat sandwich with golden fries and coleslaw. A more than adequate meal for $27 with tax and tip. We remain in familiar territory with the combination of Heinz mustard and rye bread. Even though it is difficult for me to distinguish them from one place to another, I still had the feeling of having tasted some of the most vibrant flavors. In retrospect, this experience contradicted my initial expectations, revealing a far more charming restaurant than I had imagined. Its American atmosphere, combined with a familiar and generous approach, redefined my perception of this reddish shell on the banks of Saint-Jean. However, I dont know if I will honor the invitation to come with my mother, knowing her preferences. Thanks anyway! Vegetarian options: Um... No, unless maybe you only come for coffee and cheese pizza. Parking: A good twenty places (with the snow it was more difficult to assess) Kid-friendliness: Yes of course. Its good for a family outing. Wheelchair accessibility: No automatic doors, but plenty of space!
Great service! Great food! As it has always been
Great service Great smoked meat.
Smoked meat is decent. The lady behind the counter is not very friendly.
This place hasn t changed in 25 years. Biggest Matzoh ball I ve ever seen. Old fashioned smoked meat is on point. Has a very cool old-timer feel.
As a young adult, Chenoys was one of the only restaurants that was open late, or 24/7. After clubbing, it was the place to go and grab a bite before heading home. That was some time ago, and it hasnt changed. The old-fashioned smoke meat is exactly the same. Served warm on rye bread with yellow mustard. I ordered the combo, so the sandwich plate had fries, coleslaw, and a crunchy pickle. To be honest, the meal was very good except for the fries. They werent quite cooked enough. The inside and outside were cold and limp. Not the best. We did enjoy our lunch. Service was quick, so its the perfect place to go for a business/work lunch hour.
Expensive.. Disappointment. $29 + tip.. for a handful of soggy fries, and a poorly sliced jumbo sandwich. Bread was soaked, fries undercooked and small portion. This place has lost a step. Pu Jamais..!
My parents went to Chenoys today and some older waiter tried to F O R C E them to tip more than they wanted. A TIP is for GOOD SERVICE!!! you cant force people to tip more than they want, especially trying to take advantage of elderly people. You up your prices to ridiculous levels and than you harass easy targets to tip more than they want. I tell you this place has gone down the drain. It used to be a West Island haven, now its turned into an overpriced piece of ...
We went to Chenoys for a little coffee and a light meal. The food was good and the service was excellent! Sara was so kind and accommodating. We ll be back for sure! :)
We went to Chenoy s this afternoon. We had top service by your Sara Feldman. We have gone many times before. But she is exceptionally great. Thank you Sara Kohar K. Parking: We parked near the entrance
We arrived from the restaurant and were extremely disappointed... The smoke meat seemed almost raw and had a worrying pink color. Its been over a year since we were there and we wont be going back. Choose another chain or another branch, advice from a friend. On the other hand, the service was excellent even if the waitress did not speak French.
It was our favorite place for smoke meat a tradition the place we went every snow storm I ordered my plate of smoked meat what a disaster no flavor of spice the meat wet as if it had been reheated on the micro wave the dry bread I wont go back there sorry English speaking service only
It was always good before changing the fries
The portion of fish was huge. Burgers were delicious, great fries too!
Great smoked meat best rye bread.
Its closed For a very long time the building has even been demolished
Smoked meat was just like I remember it from 40 years ago!! Delicious
I have been going onto 40 yrs now...classic place....cant beat there smoke meat sandwich
Loved the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich.
Nice restaurant! The food is delicious.
Good old Chenoys great place good unhealthy lol food worth the trip every now and then Rivals Schwartz
I drive from Ottawa to eat at Chenoys this is how much we love it!
The food and service are always great!
It was super super busy because of power outrage around; had the best smoked meat ever ! Service was very pleasant, very professional server.
Great service.
Lunch was good but the service from my waitress was impeccable.
As usual the best Veal liver and chopped liver in town.
Huge burger
Good service, generous dishes and adequate price.
A staple of deli food
Havent been here in years. Service started off slow, but then Sandra our waitress made up for it with top notch service! I had a club sandwich which I could barely finish. The smoked meat looked great, Ill have to next time for sure! Thanks Sandra
Great service, food is a hit or miss in my opinion. Smoke meat is delicious here, fries not so much, they taste like theyre the frozen kind. Milkshakes are rich and thick, very tasty indeed. Bathroom are in desperate need of update, 2 of the womans washrooms are broken not to mention there is no handicap washroom.
Much too expensive 22 pias for smoked meat
DONT GO!!! Went to Chenoys tonight 11/05/2023 as I convinced my friends ordered 1 Mynokos plate 1 Cajun burger plate and 1 Gargantua burger plate! The Gargantua plate came back with uncooked pink minced meet with blood on the bun. I told the waiter if it s possible to cook the meet a little bit more as the meet was uncooked. He insisted that it s not uncooked it s just fresh and juicy. I had to do the second cut cutting the burger in four and all the inside was red pinky I called him again so he took the plate back to the cook and he returned and said, our cook says that if he brings me another burger then the meet will be the same uncooked meet, meanwhile my friends burger was fully cooked! He says either you take the same burger or change your order to something else!!! Worst service I have ever had specially in West Island! Then the waiter says to me if you want go and speak with the cook maybe he will do something for you?!?! NEVER am I or anyone I know will step foot in that restaurant!
Was at Chenoys on the weekend for a late morning breakfast. Had the simple (yet delicious) basic two eggs, toast, coffee, fruit salad, and potatoes. Everything was fresh and plentiful. Plated neatly and cleanly. Portions were generous and all was very very tasty. Even the bottomless (brewed) decaf coffee was quite satisfying. The atmosphere was classic Montreal deli style with an ageless design that makes you feel at home - hopefully they will not change this as it is quite quaint as well. And the service: polite, respectful, attentive, detail oriented, and got the order to perfection - even the extra potatoes and well done scrambled my guest. And he was always making sure that our table had what it needed and checked in with us - even though he had a huge section he alone was managing fantastically. All in all I wrote this because I found this experience to be not just as good as other breakfast specialty places like eggspectation, l Ouffrier, and others, it was actually better!! Better in very possible way for that matter. And the bonus, for those who love or appreciate a good smoked meat, you can smell the wafting aroma of their classic and delicious smokers meat warming in their steamer. And by the way, as one of the meats, you can have smoked meat with your breakfast to boot!!! So be a Tourist or a Local, GO to Chenoys for a great meal and dining experience you shall not regret it. And to boot, the pricing is not par with the the quality, portions etc, it is less expensive than the competition hence - even celle t value for your money as well. Love to hear everyone s expletive.
Have been going to Chenoys in Dollard since 1977 when I was a little boy living in Chomedey with my parents, whenever I head back to Montreal for a visit the first place I head to is Chenoys for a real smoked meat sandwich, fries, Coca Cola, and a piece of strawberry cheesecake for dessert with a big glass of milk. Always bring a few lbs of smoked meat, bagels, and a few loafs of rye bread back home.
Fast service and good food
3.5/5 Restaurant atmosphere is fantastic. The restaurant is clean. Good food. The smoke meat is good but not incredible. Good service .
It was my first time at this restaurant. The place was quite spacious. The server was very attentive. They had a large variety of dishes to choose from. I had a spinach omelet. It came with potatoes, whole-wheat toast and a small bowl of fruits. It was the perfect portion size for me. In regards to the cost, I believe its quite reasonable.
The tall thin waitress is really not good
A journey through time.
Food was good but the service was even below the minimum expected, which is kind of a shame.
Steady food always fresh and reasonably priced
A very friendly stall, good service... but the food quality /taste is just very disappointing.
Similar to Dunns. Not much value for the money though.
Smoke Meat very good
No longer 24hrs. Big disappointment.
Food was delicious for all 5 of us.The service was very good and friendly. The restaurant needs one very big redecoration. It looks stuck in the 90s and overly well used.
Good food
Our food took a long time to come. When it did, my burger had a dirty piece of cotton in it and when I pointed it out, I was asked if that was okay. Didnt give less stars because everyone else really enjoyed their food and the waitress kindly offered a free slice of cheesecake for the long wait.
It was good, nothing more. The service was good and the food was ok! This does the job more than enough if youre just passing through.
Havent been in 15 yrs. Finally went last week and was disappointed, it was empty and food was subpar compared to when I used to go as a child and teen.
I would have given 5 stars for the quality of the meal, but they preferred to place several UBER orders in front of us and let us wait more than an hour with the children without anything to compensate for their lack of organization. There were 6 tables of us waiting, of course even if we werent the last to enter, we were served last.
Never go there terrible
A classic!!
Depends who you get. I got this girl when I went with my Sister and her kids. She was a fantastic waitress. Fast, engaging, really nice and the price was good, the food was good too. Today I went, I got this guy who charged me over 3.00 extra for a Jumbo Smoked meat. it was supposed to be 20.99 and he charged me over 24.50. Avoid this place. Its too bad. Its near my home. Im sure i got ripped off on other stuff I got there. I wont bve back.
Food is great. Smoke meat was very good but a little more spicy than I remember. Would have loved to have room for cheesecake as it looked delicious. Please fix your ladies bathroom. Not a great look. At minimum please get a new toilet seat. !!
This place has gone completely downhill! Paid $20.99 of a sandwich, fries and coleslaw. Smoked meat tasted like it was from a grocery store pack and the fries weren t even cooked. Restaurant was completely empty and it took 20 minutes to get my food. I came out of there with a $50.00 bill for me and my daughter. She had a kids meal. I should have gone to McDonalds instead. If you want a really smoked meat sandwich, do yourself a favour and go to Pete s. Extremely disappointed as I grew up always liking this place. They will NEVER see me there again. And I discourage anyone from going there.
Its not like it used to be
Not bad at all. Looks like the cook put some effort to make the plates nice and tasty. More than expected. The menu the other hand missing description of the each plate, so we could not figure out what ingredients are in each, so we can decide easy.
My husband and I return here again and again because their smoked meat is to die for! It is lean, flavourful, and delicious! If you have not yet tried it, you are in for a treat. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant is supposedly open for dine-in till 11 pm. We showed up at 10 pm this Friday evening and they said it was only open for take out. Not impressed!!
I would w to share my experience with everyone. I went today with my family and we had the smoked meat platter, the food was amazing and hot, the fries were fresh. No words to describe their delicious strawberry cheesecake . Our waitress was very nice and she was always smiling to us. Thank you.
I have went to this place for the first time and I loved it The server name vivian and lavera served us They were very professional and took care of us very well The food was ok but the service given by them was very appreciated .
Friendly and very accomodating staff. Great serving and excellent service.
Restaurant in need of renovations. 2 toilets out of 3 listed defective. The 3rd door which does not lock then a container on the floor to catch a plumbing leak. Food was ok
Food was not very tasty. Pizza was doughy and smoked meat sandwich was cold. I did like the cheesecake.
Always a nice meal at chenoys. Great place to go with kids or family for meal
If you love Nickels Restaurant, then you ll definitely love Chenoy s because they have practically the same kind of food! Very delicious!
Montreal & Quebec is home of the Roast Beef & Poutine, This didnt disappoint!! Great Food & Atmosphere! Merci Beaucoup!!
We hadn t been to Chenoy s in a couple of years. The food (especially the old fashioned smoked meat)was as good as ever. The service was exceptional. Our server,Lavera did everything but cartwheels to make sure we had a good dining experience. We would return for the food,of course but being served by Lavera again would be the cherry on Chenoy s amazing cheesecake.
Hello i wanted to mention how amazing the staff is very pleasant and very hospitable. Great service last week we were served by Lavira wonderful server also.
Lovely service staff and food. Do yourself a favour. Just camp out for a day and eat as much as you can. Then have a friend wheel you away while giving tummy rubs.
Was there tonight for the first and last time. Our waitress Levera needs an attitude adjustment. If she doesn t like her job she should quit instead of taking it out on customers.
Really very good... perfect place for a first date with ease
Had the smoked meat it was good no issues just price has gone up like everywhere.
The food is good and the waitress was so sweet :]
Good service in French
No frills. Decent deli food
Great smokemeat
Great sevice and yummy food
Very good meal
The only thing I didnt enjoy was my meat was sliced thick.
Was there on Friday night October 27th around closing time. They tell us theyre closing but, dont say anything to the other table also there. Not sure why. This place is going down hill.
Pass
Excellent food, exceptional waitress. Only problem, the cooks are unilingual and impossible to be served in French when they are alone. Very disappointing.
I enjoyed my meal with my wife. The Atmosphere and decor, brings back great memories from when I came to eat at Chenoys after the Edgewater dance club back in the day. Will be back!! Food : 5/5
Smoked meat with fried rice is very good. Big portion, nice flavors. Decent price. Unfortunately the heat is not working for all sections of the restaurant.
Good, generous plates!
Our favorite restaurant for several years. we go back there regularly. the food is good, the waitresses friendly.
June 2023: smoked meat sandwich was delicious, but served in styrofoam packaging.
A Montreal institution! Had a nice smoked meat sandwitch here for lunch. Clean and the staff was friendly.
Great place. Hasn t changed since the 80 s. But still great. The only thing I could offer them in terms of improvement slice the smoked meat thinner. This is a personal preference as the smoked meat was delicious.
Very friendly
An amazing local deli that serves the best deli foods ever. The servers are great and the food is fresh and delicious.
Food was just ok. Old school diner feel, but overall not very good value.
This place has been opened as far as I can remember. Growing up in the West Island it was always a favorite spot to go to and still is now. Amazing staff and food for a great price. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly
We came here as a family. My parents grew up in this area and my dad used to frequent this place as a teenager. The food was great and the staff were friendly. Will 100 percent be back whenever I visit this area again.
