I went to eat there because my sister said the food was delicious. It was good except for the rice. The rice and peas had no flavours at all. I’m used to eat rice and peas but it was not it.. The bbq jerk chicken and the fried chicken was bomb. I also really liked the beef patty and the fried flour. I would recommend it except for the rice and peas.
I recently visited one of the few halal Caribbean restaurants in Montreal, and I have to say, the food is absolutely AMAZING! From the perfectly seasoned jerk chicken to the flavorful rice and peas, every bite was a delight. Being one of the only halal Caribbean spots in the city makes it even more special for those of us looking for a place to enjoy this unique cuisine. That being said, I did run into a bit of an issue during my visit. Yesterday, I ordered five plates for my group, only to be told at the end that they had run out of food. While this was disappointing at first, the owner of the restaurant went above and beyond to make up for the situation. They generously compensated us and made sure we left feeling taken care of. It was clear they genuinely care about their customers, and their effort turned the whole experience around. Despite the hiccup, I highly recommend this place. The food is top-notch, and the customer service is exceptional. It’s a must-try if you’re in Montreal!
Ordered the large Jerk Chicken plate, for take out. Very happy with it. Great flavour, spicy but not crazy. They gave me a couple plantations, and some festivals (fried dough). The rice with beans was good. I’d go there again, even serve it at a party, with some Pina Coladas, or Bahamas mamas.
Wanted to go here for lunch for the longest time! It is a very small space and there is only seating for 2, so eating in the car or at home is ideal. I ordered the fried chicken with BBQ sauce. My friends got a half/half jerk chicken and oxtail and half/half curry goat and oxtail. My friends would rate their meals a 7.5. I liked my meal but it did take an extra 15 mins for my meal. There were very kind though and appreciated my patience. I absolutely loved my chicken and the festivals. The rice and mac salad were not my favourite though. PS. Don’t waste money buying drinks at the restaurant, walk two doors down to the dep to get drinks!! Overall would rate this experience a 6.5/10!
I have to take back whatever I said about this place a year ago. It was the opening week and I waited very long for my food and when I received it, it didn’t taste authentic to me. I went back today and had an amazing experience, spoke to the owner and told him my concerns. He really does do his best to fix any and all bad experiences you may have encountered. Food is A1. Boom J’s used to be my go to for Jamaican food, but since they have downgraded, I will now be exclusively going to Pimentos for all my Caribbean food needs.
Discovered and absolutely loved everything. We got to try: - Half and half plate, 1/2 Jerk Chicken, 1/2 BBQ chicken with rice and peas, macaroni salad, plantains, and festivals (delicious, deep fried slightly sweet bread). - Jerk Salmon and all the fixings - Oxtail and all the fixings - Spicy Beef Patties - Fish Cakes We loved the flavour explosions, the variety of foods, and the service!
LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!! tried it out yesterday and i love their oxtails. As soon as I walked in, the menu got my attention. I would for sure be going back and trying some more food. The best Jamaican restaurant. They only do take outs, since there are no table and considering that the place is small.
I am really picky with my island food because I’m Jamaican… but I am seriously impressed with Pimentos. I am a giveaway winner for the oxtail plate (ElMigo foodie), I also purchased the jerk chicken half and half, fish cakes and Jamaican Pattie’s. The food was so tasty and well cooked. I can tell it was made with lots of love! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is well decorated. I honestly have nothing negative to say. I know where I’ll be going now when I need island food!! Thank you and I’ll be back :)
Delicious food, very fresh, very cute spot.. to my surprise it s a takeout place but ,i will go back if i m the area again and highly recommend
Wow wow wow!! This place really impressed me! Explosion of island flavors this tiny gem is my new fav to go spot ! Great service and the food was Insanely good!!! I just left but already can t wait to go back! Just got back from the Caribbean few days ago and I have to say this was better ! The coleslaw was so so so good! Oh and they have SORRREL!
Absolutely amazing food. Its ny first time there and I have to say if you want the most amazing carribean food in Montreal this is the palace to be. All the staff had smiles and were so welcoming and kind. I had the best experience ever.
The food is excellent. We had salmon jerk and chicken jerk dishes and they were so delicious. The personnel is really nice and friendly. Keep in mind the place is for take aways.
Wow! Amazing food, ingredients, presentation. Everything is on top. My new weekly food joint!
Really good food and was ready in 15 minutes i recommand to take the jerk chicken
Horrible service and time management. Placed an order on Uber and waited 1.5 hours before cancelling which ended up costing me the price of the whole meal. 2 different drivers had gone to pick it up and was fed up of waiting. Save your time and money and do not order from them. They don t appreciate your business. Making sure my friends and family don t lose their time and money as well.
I ve been seeing a lot of videos from this restaurant on instagram so I was very excited to try it, they also had a lot of good reviews. My first complaint is I ve called this restaurant at least 5 times on different occasions and nobody answered the phone. I finally decided to come in person only to be disappointed. I ordered an oxtail plate and a curry goat plate, as soon as I opened my order I smelled the burnt curry. The goat was mushy and had a bad flavour. The oxtail had a burnt taste. I didn t finish it. The macaroni was not good. Sadly a waste of time and money. There is room for a lot of improvement.
I had the red snapper my dad the oxtail. The food is amazing. You actually taste the love in the food. I will buying from Pimentos again.
Very clean, great-tasting food. Worth the trip to the West Island of Montreal. Will be back Kid-friendliness: Have a kid menu
Good music good service excellent food
Every meal is delicious !!!
Wait time is very long. It took 1h30 mins for two orders .
Loved the experience. Service is great, fast & most of all the food is properly cooked and delicious !A must try, specially if youre a foodie!
Fire
Great customer service love it
I ordered the oxtail and didn t get any rice because the wait time was 20 minutes. I asked if I could just buy a portion of oxtail and the person from the back told me in a very passive aggressive way that he couldn t do that. Maybe he was having a bad day? Then people he knew came in and he was smiling and very friendly. Not a pleasant experience. The oxtail tastes like BBQ which is NOT what oxtail should taste like. I threw out most of the food. The patties were decent. It s a not recommend for me.
The food is absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going back often.
Just love it!! Bursting with flavours and amazing staff! On top of everything, it s HALAL!
Very slow service. More than 45 minutes for 3 plates not during rush hour. And the employees ignore the customers
I ve been looking for a place with good food and my first time Ordering from here all I have to say is wow! Played it safe with the chicken got jerk and fry bbq .listen to me you won t want to share. All the way from Toronto and this place can come out there and set up shop. I ll definitely order again hoping to make it there 1 day. Forgot my gravy was the only thing. The chef deserves whatever they want.
Amazing service , Owners and Employees are very friendly and easy to talk to. The food was even better , overall best Caribbean place in Montreal! 100% recommend couldn t be better experience!!!
10/10, amazing flavor, portion size and service!!! Ive been several times and am never disappointed.
Good food and more importantly great energy from the people making the food! Wheelchair accessibility: No steps Food : 5/5 |
Overpriced jerk and fried chicken.
Amazing quality food, very tasty, and great service. Family s in the back cooking it up, that s how you know it s authentic. Come here all the time when I m down visiting from Toronto Food : 5/5
Everything about this spot was great. I wished they also had chicken patties and offered family sizes for jerk chicken! A plate should come with plantains and dumplings, that s a must. Food
Had the jerk chicken plate and it hit the spot. Chicken was tender and had the right amount of spicy. Absolutely crushed the plate and will definitely be back for more.
The best Caribbean restaurant in the West Island! Everytime I order the food is always good and fresh!! Great customer service!
not exactly the type of place youd dine in at, since it only has a small table that fits 2 people in the corner. did that stop me and my friend from taking the only 2 spots in the restaurant? it did not. anyways, foods amazing, workers are great people. ordered the goat curry and my friend got the jerk chicken. the flavour on the jerk chicken was insane. if you had to chose between the goat curry and jerk chicken (assuming youve never had either), definitely pick the jerk chicken you wont be disappointed
Really impressed with the quality of the food! Ordered a large jerk chicken plate - the chicken was spicy, well seasoned and exceptionally moist and fall off the bone. Rice and peas was tasty, plantains had a great taste, the festivals (which I ve never tasted before) was unexpectedly delicious, and the coleslaw brought a nice tang and was very well seasoned and added a nice texture to the meal. Overall, really impressed with the food!
Incredible food I m still dreaming about the jerk bbq chicken, it s a must try. My only complaint is the macaroni salad, tastes like mustard and I hate mustard. Wish it was Mac and cheese instead, would slap so hard with the meat.
Literally my fav West Indian spot in Montreal Vegetarian options: Salmon available Dietary restrictions: All Halal menu (minus the patties)
Amazing food and the staff are fantastic too. Wish they had a bigger restaurant for dining in but im sure they will get there ! Parking: Lots of parking available
The food was good but expensive for the quantity I got. I usually eat my Haitian and other African or Caribbean for 2 or 3 days. I spent over $35 and it didnt last me for more than a day.
Best Jerk chicken, OX tail and Salmon in the city. Must have for all looking for a delicious plate of food.
first time trying Carribean... delicious good and halal... bringing my bros here to try it out next time
Wow! Weve been looking for some good Caribbean food on the WI and came across Pimentos today, so we decided to order in. Great presentation, authentic taste, and fresh produce. We will definitely be ordering again in the near future. Food : 5/5
Great diner! The food was delicious and the serving sizes were great. Two critiques I would have regarding this place would be that the potatoes they gave were a little too salty. It s best to serve something with a little less salt because more salt can always be added however if something has too much salt it s pretty much doomed at that point to be able to reduce it. Secondly the staff forgot that we also were supposed to be given two standard hot black coffees based on our orders but never provided it until asked. At one point I asked a passing by hostess to refill my coffee and she said sure and walked away just to never come back so I had to ask someone else. Parking: Lots of parking available at the free parking in the plaza.
Id like to give a huge shoutout to Matthew and his team at Pimentos. Not only do they provide great customer service, they are both quick and prompt at addressing any issue you may have. The food here is divine and the Jerk Chicken is a must try!! Cant wait to be back !!! -Tim
Excellent service friendly staff I will be recommending this to family and friends... The food is perfect I will be going back for sure
I ordered a large BBQ jerk plate and small fried chicken plate since my sister orders from this place often. Not only did I get 2 fried chicken plates, Ive been in the bathroom since yesterday. So you screw up my order and upset my stomach. Wont be ordering again.
I was actually kinda just browsing on Uber and came across Pimentos. I didnt know what it was so I googled it, and Im glad I did! I saw some amazing reviews and saw someone I know write a great review, so I knew I had to try. Everything was amazing! It tasted so fresh and everything was so full of flavor. The rice and peas werent dry. Omg the jerk chicken is sooo juicy and tasty I also ordered extra plantains because theyre my favorite and they were soo good. Fish cakes were also amazing. Im so happy I found this place and I will definitely come by for more thank you
Delicious!
Excellent food,
Referral from my tattoo artist and The food was fire!! The festivals were perfect!! Can t wait for the next time I m in town
From day one I knew it was going to be great. Great atmosphere and service. Love the oxtail and jerk plates. Many blessings and success!
Fiyaaaa!! Fresh, vibrant and generous portions. Truly recommended. Great rhythm as you walk in (IYKYK)
These guys are great people and take pride in the food they serve. Food for soul 5
The best Jamaican restaurants Ive ever had it had the best BBQ jerk salmon
This is the best spot for Jamaican cuisine in the West Island hands down!!! My boyfriend and I heard great things and we decided to try it out and we were not disappointed!!! The staff were super friendly, kind and helpful! The food was incredible! I loved the curried goat. The flavours were so fresh and seasoned perfectly. I really only have great things to say about this place. We will definitely be going back again soon. Thanks so much Pimento s!!!
Very polite and nice staff. God bless them
Best Jerk Chicken I ve had in my life. Will definitely be a regular here.
The Best Island food
I don t even know what to say!!!! Food and services are AMAZING!!! Totally recommend
Amazing food.
If you havent tried it yet, what are you waiting for. Best carribean food in the area, hands down!!
Delish food, great portions! Ive enjoyed every item Ive eaten so far.
Food...service...hands down best Ive had in a while...a must try
Loved jerk chicken
I had the fried chicken BBQ plate and it was so tasty and flavourful. I highly recommend !!
Best Jerk Chicken from Westisland
One of my favourite Caribbean restaurants in Montreal, and i m very picky. Good quantity and quality food. The jerk chicken is seasoned very well with the perfect amount of spice.
The patties are delicious, the chicken as well! But the rice.. everytime we buy it, it s always waters and mushy.. maybe you should have another type of rice because it s never 10/10 (which you are a restaurant, we pay for quality and it s unfortunate that we spend our money to eat your food and don t even get to eat the rice because it s not up to standard). Hopefully you get to fix your rice, we would be happy to go back to your restaurant. The macaroni is to acidic.. Pleaseeeee fix the rice pleaseeee !!!
Best spot in the west island!!!!
I wish I had a photo of how amazing this food looked next time I go I will get one. This was a great gem in the west island. The customer service was great everyone was so friendly. Id highly recommend going. Keep up the great work!
Id give 10 stars if i could!! Everythung is tasty fresh delicious every single time we order
Great place with amazing food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our first time trying Caribbean food and we were shocked how good it was. Will definitely be returning many times to try all their dishes. Highly recommend
Tried this place for the first time and the food is PHENOMENAL. Easily one of the best jerk chicken meals I ve had in MTL :)
Sooooo good, I m so happy it s halal
Amazing!!!! It was tender and super good, great service, he gave us good advice. Im definitely coming back!!
When you walk into Pimento s, it just smells AMAZING! Great people and great service, def check this spot out Food : 5/5
FRIED BBQ CHICKEN. THANK ME LATER
Amazing food great service!!
Let me start by saying the flavour of the BBQ jerk chicken was delicious. But the rice was stale. We also tried calling before we made the drive, but no one ever picked up. When my husband arrived, they had run out of patties, goat and oxtail. Will deffo give this place another try, maybe for lunch where hopefully the food will be plentiful and fresher.
Found my new spot. This place does not fail. Professional from start to finish and you taste the love in the food. Can t wait to try everything on the menu.
I dont understand why this place isnt known in west island yet!! Everything in the plate had a good flavour to it. The service was exceptional. Not to forget its Halal, im definitely trying the oxtail next time
Best Halal Caribbean food hands down!! The owner is super friendly and the food has soo much flavour and taste. Keep up the good work. highly recommend it!
Great service! The BBQ jerk chicken was delicious
Amazing food, for a great price. The fired chicken and their rice are amazing.
The jerk chicken was amazing. However the rice was too stale, the fish cakes didn t even taste like fish it was too doughy. We also got the goat curry plate do not recommend. Got few pieces of goat not worth your money.
Hidden gem in DDO. Jerk chicken was great, portion was huge, and the staff was very friendly.
Amazing food served by friendly people. As a Muslim, it s hard to find halal Caribbean food in Montreal, and this place satisfies that craving. Highly recommended! Note: the Jamaican Patties are not halal, as of this post.
Very delicious halal food! I had the jerk chicken small and it came with coleslaw rice and plantain and some bread
Great local spot for Jamaican food! Many options of dishes including jerk chicken, fried chicken, oxtail, salmon and fried fish. Everything was excellent, but I really recommend the oxtail. Juicy, succulent and fall off the bone tender All of our dishes were cooked to order and made fresh. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable in answering many of our questions. Will definitely be coming back!
Food 10/10 I recommend really good service I love it
Great customer service and delicious food!
The best fried chicken Ive ever had...Im not even kidding 100/10!! Everything else is great too but the fried chicken...no words
Amazing food. Just found this gem!! You need to try this place out . Order on line or pick up. Such great food!!!
It was SOOOOOO delicious coming from a girl who loves Caribbean food. Thank you for making it halal
My partner and I decided to try a new place for lunch and Im so glad we did. The food was amazing. Best fried chicken and jerk chicken. Even the sides are amazing and the amount we got per portion. Ill be sure to add this place to our rotation of restaurants now. Thank you very much!
The menu has many options but some items may run out for the day or for a while until next batch is available. Waited over 10 minutes to place an order, there were 2 people before us & waited over 40 mins for our order to be ready because most of their stuff wasnt available at that moment. We waited because we heard about this place & it was the only reason we drove far from where we live (about 30-40 mins drive depending on traffic) to try different kind of food. I would recommend it if youre looking to try something different & willing to wait patiently. Was the wait worth it? Not really but thats my personal opinion. Be aware, the place has only space for 2 people to dine in, no other tables or chair. Youll have to probably take out. * DISCLAIMER for Halal concerns The Jamaican patties are the ONLY thing that is NOT Halal
Good food
Absolutely one of the best for Carribean food in the area. Whenever I m in town I always get a little bit of everything. Support local small owned business.
Food was good, but I waited about an hour.
Everything I have tried is great Dietary restrictions: They dont use cornmeal!!! Thank you. Food : 5/5 |
Love it
Friendly owners...big portions...love the macaroni salad and fried chicken...Irie!
Top quality food, nice packaging and generous portions. Tried the jerk chicken and goat curry with Jamaican patties and macaroni salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. Just enough kick without being overpowering. So much flavour and so tender. Highly recommend!!
I had called them and placed an order well in advance for pick up because last couple of times I went and the food took long because they keep running out of rice. So this time I called and went to pick up the order after being told your order will be ready I get there and guess what they said we are out of rice you have to wait 30-40 mins this is the third time this happened. First two times it was in summer so we walked around the area for 30 mins. This time that wasn t the option. I shouldn t be waiting for anything if I m placing my order in 40 mins in advance. Rice is an essential item with jerk chicken. How can you keep running out! If it s a constant problem find ways to make a bigger batch have a plan, your running a business. That s like going to McDonald s and being told we are out of big Mac, also fish cakes too they are always out. Why is it on the menu then ? If you don t have food to serve close up shop why keep it open? Anyway had a terrible experience ended up cancelling my order and will not be going back and definitely won t be recommending it to others.
So this place right here, wow not much to say juste delicious they do the caraïbes the right way wow keep that quality and service
Ay yo bruh nah nah nah nah nah nah. Dis food right here. Yo have u ever went to heaven before?? Nah seriously im askin a legit question. Well eatin dis food is da equivalent of a heavenly experience. Bro I took one bite of da food, closed my eyes, n I swear I think I seen one of da angels call out to me n say welcome! But den I snapped out of it cuz I had to finish da rest of da food. Bruh I can literally TASTE da motherly love. Every bean, every rice grain, every chicken, every bone, every macaroni, was done wid da utmost care. Bro Im not even cappin I came home n all I could do was think about it. I pray dat GOD sends dis entire family to da highest levels of heaven cuz da way da food taste here makes absolutely no sense how good it taste. Da ONLY dillemma is dat its not open 24/7
Best jamaican restaurant in west island!!! They make a mean bbq jerk salmon. Keep up the good work chef!
I want to eat oxtail and found them online with great reviews. I have to say that the mac salad, the fish cake and the oxtail were delicious they have a lot of great flavor but the rice seriously smell plain burnt... I would of gave them 5 stars but eating burnt rice is just not for me... So I have mix feeling... I can eat but it smell foul and for $24 I think its unacceptable. Probably its better to pickup the food and not order from them online so they dont try to give people burnt smell rice! I will wait to gave them the rating they deserve on Uber eat.
The BBQ fried chicken was really good! Unfortunately cannot say the same about the rice. It was really stale for all 3 plates we ordered, couldnt even eat it.
Small and lowkey place but don t sleep on them. Food was AMAZING! generous portions and good price! 10/10
This place is absolutely amazing, was looking for Caribbean cuisine in west island and found Pimentos , it is also Halal, the food is amazing specially their pimento special , Oxtail and jerk salmon. highly recommend this place
Very bad food quality, the reviews must have been written by the owners friend. Sorry but i do not recommend
I ordered the large rice with fried chicken, a side of extra plantains and a Jamaican patty. The rice was extremely mushy and had a weird texture , the chicken was pretty good, my good the plantains were very unripe, and we re just basically green plantains that were fried. The Jamaican patty was very old and did not have a good texture inside the sauce on the macaroni salad was basically just sugar and Dijon mixed.
With all due respect, serving that kind of food is disrespectful to carribean culture. The rice is awful, the sides too. Only thing that is decent is the chicken, but every carribean person knows how so its the least they could do. The owner also has a bad attitude when asking for extras. Anyway, There is so much better carribean restaurants in the west island other than Pimento.
Amazing food!
This was by far the most delicious Caribbean food I ve had bar none . I grew up eating my mothers jerk chicken and oxtail and I never thought I would find a place that delivers that nostalgic feeling like this place . I love how much gravy they put on the rice most places forget that important detail . The jerk was Spicy but not over bearing and the fish cakes what !!! Talk about flavourful . You would have to be a fool to not grab a dozen . The beef Pattie s are flaky and packed full of flavour reminds me of Jamaica at 12 years old . The prices are fair too a real gem of the West Island
I enjoyed their jerk chicken plate. Took the large plate it was very filling! The chicken and sides were delicious but I didn t enjoy the rice too much. I have a photo but the app is lagging and not letting me post it Dietary restrictions: Halal!
Great food, great service !!!!
Love Pimentos! Great food, great vibes every time Food
The chicken was very good but the rice was lacking tasted over cooked plantains seemed unripe
After all the hype, my wife decided to order the oxtail and a goat plate yesterday. Needless to say I was terribly disappointed. From presentation to the actual food. First off the oxtail was way over cooked and very sweet, way too much sugar of some sort. And I also tasted the goat it lacked proper seasoning. Am not here to bash this establishment just being an honest patron.
If i could give more then 5 i would! The best food and service . That my new spot now! Much respect foe the service!
Went for lunch with work friends we loved at so far the best place the lady in back even gave us free fish cake was so delicious and the guy whom took our order was so polite and respectful much respect i 100000% will be back !!!!!
This place had everything homemade and cooked to perfection! We will definitely go back and bring the family with us! There s place for three to sit and eat but the atmosphere was so welcoming that we felt more comfortable than a 100 seater restaurant Thank you PIMENTOS for the awesome food and service
I have been with them since their first day of business, I am happy to be a customer and recipient of their impeccable service. Thank you Pimentos Family!
Everything s heavenly delicious especially the bbq jerk . The food is incredible, friendly staff, great service definitely recommend it
I highly recommend this restaurant the quality of the food is exceptional
Delicious and very friendly owner
I took the hell salmon and MY friend took the Jerk chicken, yummyyyyy on both. Decent price and amazing filling portion. So fresh and flavoured. A must go to!!! I wished I would have taken a picture of our plates, yet we were so at ahhh we couldnt put our fork down Thank you Pimentos
The food is very good it feels like a homemade meal fresh and warm. The only criticism I will have to say is that they are not open every day. Otherwise if you want to try Jamaican food in Montreal and its area this is the place to go. The food is truly amazing, everything is fresh and well prepared, the only criticism I have is that they are not open every day. If you are in Montreal and its surroundings and you want to taste Jamaican food, PIMENTOS is the perfect place for you.
This is my first online review lol. As soon as I took a bite, I knew I had to give one. Best Jamaican food in Montreal. Omg this was too good. Jerk chicken was seasoned so well, plantain was perfect, the salad was sweet and tasty! Do yourself a favour and get yourself a plate
Best Jamaican food in Montreal!
Had nearly everything on the menu. Loved all of it! Cant go wrong with this place
This was my first time trying Pimentos. I m not a big fan of spicy food , but the staff reassured me that what I had ordered wasn t going to be very spicy. The jerk chicken plate was amazing. The chicken was very tender and flavourful. The rice was very tasty as well. I had to try the Jamaican patties because it reminded me of my time in high school (RHS4LIFE) , and they tasted great. The staff was very friendly and I wish them plenty of success in the future. I will be coming back for sure.
GOOD
I tried the grilled salmon and it was delicious! The macaroni salad was really good too.
Now I know why theres a big line up during peak hour. The food is great and tasty.I bought the fried chicken meal andI told them I will buy the oxtail the next time I come back and they let me try a piece, its so good I shared the meal with my boys and they both love it. I wasnt surprised when they said they will buy the fried chicken meal.
Definitely going back to try out other meals they offer. Small, no dine in, take-out only. Prices are fair for the portion size. One of the best, if not the best in D.D.O. Ordered oxtail meal, jerk chicken meal and 2 patties. Both meals have a bit of a kick, which is great. Im not a expert but the spices they used dont taste cheap, like some other places. Its for sure a must try...great work!!!
Fresh, authentic carribean cuisine. Owned by locals. The food was hot, ingreidents were quality and cooked by hand. absolutely phenominal!!!!!
I had the jerk salmon a pleasant size piece with a nice jerk seasoning. Definitely going to recommend trying their fish cakes they have a nice kick(pepper) to them. Good portions & taste great would recommend trying their food.
Amazing food. First time trying it and I will definitely come back.
Easily one of the best Caribbean restaurants in MONTREAL, the food is literally blessed (HALAL) thankfully they chose to open a location in the west (DDO). No longer will I have to drive into the city for a fire oxtail plate or authentic jerk chicken. Do yourself a favor, give them a try you won t regret it.
West Island s gem. Great customer service, amazing food that is fresh and packed with flavour, and the portion you get is worth every dollar. I recommend this restaurant to everyone thats been wishing for a good Caribbean restaurant in the west, in Montreal period.
I have eaten their food, and I will eat it again. Good jerk chicken.
Got the Jerk Chicken absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned. The rice was a bit firm. I like it like that, however some may not and something to keep in mind. The coleslaw is ok. The plantains were good. They definitely now got a regular customer given they are the very few that are non-Arab and Indian that serve halal food.
We couldnt give 5 stars. Anyways the girl at the front counter was amazing. Took her her time to explain the menu to us. The food was amazing.the fried chicken was outstanding. Macaroni salad was delicious. And the coleslaw was best one that I ever had.the only one problem I have is that they forgot my large plantain
WoW, this was the best experience I ve had in a while. The customer service alone will have me going back. I got there a few minutes after they opened I was greeted warmly. They were polite and professional. My kids have been on my case to try this and I don t regret it one bit. I ordered the bbq fried chicken, the curry goat, and a patty. The kids loved the bbq fried chicken. Between the three of us, we had 2 large plates and it was sufficient. I would definitely recommend Pimento . You will not be disappointed.
Food and service was Amazing! I ordered the jerk salmon plate and it was flavourful I recommend 10/10
got Bbq chicken and jerk chicken, both good. bbq is on the sweet side. Supporting halal
Food was amazing. Everything tasted great from sides to main dish. Only sad part was the service. For a takeout resto, it shouldnt take more than 20 mins to get your order ready. Overall, it was still yummy and the staff were very nice. Would defs come back! Parking: Lots of parking available.
Great find! Friendly staff, food is fresh and flavorful. Pick-up only. Had the jerk chicken. . Going for BBQ fried chicken soon UPDATE : Just had the BBQ fried chicken : AMAZING
The jerk salmon is good, as are the festivals. Friendly staff.
I visited Pinento s today and everything was excellent! The customer service, decor, food quality, fair pricing. I will definitely be a regular customer! I got the jerk chicken plate. The portion and flavours were all of very high quality.
Mediocre and dehydrated jerk chicken, soggy plantains.. coleslaw was stale. Much better jerk chicken places in mtl
They work very hard to give the best service and dont give anything less
bus
The food here slaps! Travelled from cote des neiges to here just to get food and 0 regrets . Plus its Halal!
What are you waiting for..get there! THE BEST west Indian cuisine on the Island. Reasonably priced, generous portions and delishious. The menus are clearly displayed everything was available and staff was friendly. Well done, Congratulations!
Amazing food!
Great food, great staff. Alot of varieties. Worth every penny!
This is the best west Indian cuisine in Montreal by far!!! Plus its all Halal! A Must try is the Jerk dipped BBQ and the fried BBQ They arent open all day everyday so Get it while you can A definite must try for everyone
Excellent service and overall takeout experience. Call ahead to save time. Theres a picnic table outside on the grass, but almost no space inside to eat.
I knew it was gonna be fiya when I saw all them people picking orders. I tried the goat curry sooooo Good!!! I went on vacay in Jamaica this past April and it brought me back!!! The patties was so yummy!! The filling was so good well SPICED. I Will definitely go back to have some Jerk Chicken For the amount of food 26$ is pretty cheap definitely 2 people portion
We had curry goat, bbq fried chiken, jerk salmon and fish cakes Everything was really good. The service was excellent. The restaurant is small but they managed to make it really pretty. The portions are generous, the prices really honest considering the quality of the whole experience. My kids especially loved the festivals and the chicken There are tables outside on the side and its nice for waiting or eating.
I just had the best curry goat of my life i dont even leave reviews they were out of oxtail and rice and peas so ill have to come back
Listen .. don t walk, run here. They are 3 for 3 for me so far. Customer service always A1, Food was tasty and fresh, very accommodating if they no longer have something on the menu.
The food was very good. The staff amazing but the portions are ridiculous for the price you pay that s why I m giving a 3 star. We got a minimum of rice and chicken. Disappointed in that. It also took 30 mins for our plates to be ready (2jerk chicken)
Kid-friendliness: Great place to eat. Love the vibes.
A west island hidden gem, the food you get, looks like the picture on the menu board. Good portion size, the festivals were not greasy tasted great, the coleslaw is on point. I had the jerk salmon with yellow rice, amazing, My wife had the fried chicken plate, the chicken was properly seasoned, flavourful, not oily. I saw the chef take the salmon out of a ziplock bag full of jerk seasoning, if you know you know. Keep up the good work.
