Teriyaki dishes, traditional sashimi & a wide selection of creative sushi rolls in a striking space.
Excellent service, fabulous food. For a large busy restaurant it was an unexpectedly quiet atmosphere which was very enjoyable. You could hear each other talk. There are an abundance of staff all doing a job professionally. Server, water, clean-up during the meal and delivery of the food was never neglected or forgotten. Hats off to the sushi chefs! Remarkable!
Never disappointed with this sushi place.( West Island montreal) Super tasty, clean and great service. My number one place to go for sushi Highly recommend it
Second time in last month and we truly enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere is clean and relaxing. Music in the background is pleasant without making hard to talk. We had the very reasonably priced table d'hote. I had the vegetable tempura, beef teriyaki and a side dish of Pok Pok. For the included desert, chocolate moose and green tea.
Had food delivered and it was excellent. The spring rolls were very good. We had the 46 piece platter and added the lobster pizza. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Good job!
Nice ambience, the service was on point. The server was nice and helpful. They refilled the water often. The beef was tasty and fresh.Delicious sushi! I ordered the assorted combo, it was a nice mix of sushi ans sashimi. They even brought a sweet treat for my friends birthday, that was very yummy!
I recently dined at this restaurant and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The ambiance was inviting, the service provided by the staff, particularly Renee, was exceptional, she was AMAZING indeed 💕👌 and the culinary offerings were nothing short of impressive. From appetizers to dessert, each dish was expertly prepared with a delightful burst of flavors. The extensive menu catered to a variety of preferences, and the presentation was top-notch. The attention to detail in both the decor and the cuisine showcased a commitment to quality. Moreover, the barman, David, skillfully crafted drinks that complemented the overall dining experience. The staff's attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm added a personal touch, making the visit memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful culinary journey. It's a place where every aspect, from service to cuisine, is meticulously curated for a fantastic dining adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and look forward to returning.
Host was nice, one waiter don’t look too friendly, no smiles, just serious face but he did refill my glass when needed..that’s a good sign.. luckily my waitress was more friendly and nice! She recommended we take the “besame mucho” and sushi sashimi which was the lunch hour special menu..most of the stuffs on platter was raw..it’s what sushi is about anyways..I’m not used to eating lots of raw pieces LOL..it was quite an experience too! Also, the sushi pieces which was deep fried..it was overdone..like it was fried multiple times..super dry..it didn’t feel like it was fresh..as if it was leftovers..🙁 Recommended for sushi lovers here..pretty nice atmosphere here too.
Love this new location of Aikawa. The food was impeccable. The delicate, bite size, full of flavor pieces are there to leave your taste buds delighted. We tried the sushi pizza, tartare, Heaven plate and a few others. To top it off, our waitress Renee, who remembered us after few years of not visiting, recommended our last plate and it did not disappoint. She even mentioned that we had it before... what a great memory, Well done! Definitely going back.
I was greeted at the door by the cashier with a big smile I met the owner was very nice and one of the waitresses we had a great sense of humor and I needed something in a soup form because of my C situation and they were nice enough to blend their soup for me and I took it for take out and brought it to one of their competitors in the bag with a big smile on my face and said dont worry about me I got my soup and great service sorry I dont have you guys names but I will eventually post them great service and really nice place to have sushi enjoy my friends... By the way the soup was excellent thank you chef
From starter to dessert, everything was perfect! Fresh, tasty and impeccable service.
We posted our allergy ,there was a glitch with Uber but no common sense
High end sushi place. Great ambiance, service is above average but I had better sushi for $100. Suited for business meetings or when you are going a special date.
People were nice and welcoming, took an order to go ,everything was really good, I have to mention the vegetarian tempura had lots of variety and made my meal ! Thank you will go back if I m in the area
The service here was wonderful. I ordered the poke bowl for lunch and it was love at first bite. I highly recommend this place for a quiet lunch by yourself, witn a friend or for for business.
What should I say whether it is for the food, just magnificent, no word to say or whether it is for the service and the calm atmosphere I love it I would give 100/10 even more thank you for your work to the employees and the chef
A wonderful night out for 4 of us. Impeccable service! Excellent food and incredible choice . Highly recommend and will be back. Tables are also nicely spaced, so having a conversation was pleasant.
The chef s specialties are creative, beautiful and delicious.
One of the worst dining experiences. Price is way above the quality and portion. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate that was portioned for a 6 year old child with a side of rice that could be finished in 2 bites. One of the most blandest plates I ever had. Frozen steamed vegetables and barely seasoned chicken priced at 30$. After eating we left to go somewhere else since we were starving. I ve never done a review on any restaurant but at this price for food court quality dish, it was worth the review. Save your money and go to an all you can eat. For the same price you can have a massive variety of sushi and fusion dishes.
Amazing staff, great food and a nice atmosphere. What more can you ask for?!? A definite must. Food : 5/5
Sushi is fresh and well made. Environ is clean and simple, professional. Service sometimes lacks attentiveness but is kind and welcoming. Reasonable prices for the quality and location. I make it a point to eat here when visiting - very enjoyable.
The best place for sushi. The food is fresh, tasty and the presentation A1. The staff is simply the kindest, very polite and respectful. On top of it the owner is really a true gentlemen that cares about his customer. Not the same quality... rude service and not fresh as before. Im sad because that was the place we like the most. I think the owner sold.
Miso flavour was dull, sushi and maki was good
The food was amazing and the staff very friendly
Great service, the staff are very nice.
Please bring back the lobster or at minimum the crab in your Volcano roll! Felt completely scammed after paying full price and seeing you were now making it with salmon!! Not the same at all.
My go-to special sushi experience! Always fresh and delicious, their new location is perfect for a special lunch, or adate night. Service was excellent, Renee is always friendly and welcoming.
Great calm environment The food was great and the waiter was great help for a beginner like me o dont know all the names but 5/5 for me! Vegetarian options: Good in both Parking: Easy
Great with suchi combos and bowls, favorit tuna and salmon mix
Glad to see it back. This is my all time favorite place. Just the best.
Love the sushi here. I always go for the chef specialties. Fresh food, excellent service and a very comfortable seating situation makes this restaurant an elevated experience
On each of our visits we were served by Renée who has a phenomenal memory. She is always in a good mood, smiling and courteous. The food is excellent and well presented. A restaurant to discover or revisit. Parking: There is plenty of space near the restaurant and easy access.
Used to have Aikawa regularly, then we moved to city and recently moved back to West Island. We didn t realize just how much we had missed this place! The food is always amazing, regardless if you re taking out or dining in. Service is great as well! Even our toddler approves!
Excellent food quality, nice variety, impeccable service, and nice upscale ambiance.
OMG the best sushi I have ever tried. The special rolls are all heaven. We tried all and could not get enough. Its nice to have new flavors to try. Yes a little on the pricey side but so worth it. Food
We have Renee as a waitress every time we go and she is always so incredibly nice!!
The food was amazing. Each specialty roll better than the last. Our server, Renee, was so friendly and made us feel so comfortable. The experience as a whole just made all 4 of us in our party HAPPY!
By far the best sushi in the West Island
Very tasty! The environment is elegant and the waiters are very enthusiastic. Like it
You cant leave the place without trying the Vanilla ice cream with tempura chocolate nuggets....
Great place for sushi and Japanese eats. Service was great, David was awesome. Must try
Great restaurant with delicious dishes and impeccable service. Renée, our usual waitress, is calm, attentive and just fantastic. I highly recommend this place!
The food was great . No words to describe . If you see Renee the service will be perfect !!!! Amazing place!!!
One of the best sushi in town.
I usually go to the west island Sushi Buffet restaurant with my family, but this year, I decide to try the Aikawa Sushi restaurant that was said to be fresh and the best. before booking my table, I did a little bit research online about this restaurant review. i was aware that the food is expensive and service was not friendly. but i thought that review was 2 years ago, they might have been a little bit improved. with this bad impression mind, I booked a table for 6 people for the new years Even dinner. what we experienced during the dinning gave me a slap and proved I was wrong to make such a dinner reservation with this restaurant. we still face unfriendly services. what made me come to here to give them this review is that final billing time. the gentleman who served our table forced us to pay 15% tips. he was so aggressive that he even used his hand to press the 15% button for the tips. our order was not small (>400$). i was so astonished by what he did on this! no word! just a kind remind for Sushi eater, be cautious when get in this restaurant for Sushi, the food was not as fresh as the other reviewer commented. my experience is that the Sushi Buffet restaurant provide better food and service than this one. at least I have never experienced forced tip request by pressing the PSOE button machine by the servant themselves!!! DONT CHOOSE this one! lesson should be always remembered !
We had a lovely experience! David was super friendly and very helpful with making sure we had a lovely dining experience. He was also amazing with our toddler =] Food was delicious!
This place definitely stands out among Sushi restaurants. Super creative new ways of presenting traditional rolls, a lot of really good surprise ingredients, very thoughtful staff and great service. A little hard to find but definitely worth a small detour!
Aikawa has been in business for well over a decade. It continues to be a solid choice for your sushi cravings on the West Island.
Vegetarian options: Love the freshness of the meal the plating and just visually delicious to the eye .. one of my favorite never disappointed
Beautiful little chic sushi restaurant. A little gem to discover! For a lovely evening for two or to take away and enjoy at home. A beautiful atmosphere and above all a delight for sushi lovers. I recommend
My favorite spot to go for my one on one with my special people. Ordering out from them is also fantastic. The presentation and plating never disappoints.
Second time I dined here and I have to say...the sushi was fresh, presented beautifully and delicious! Only thing for me is that the place is a little dated but good news...they will moving soon to a new spot in April with renovations so thats good to know. Also its a little pricy but well.. you gotta pay for quality sushi! This aint no all you can eat stuff. Great job and Ill be back 100%!
I don t know what they do but this is hands down the best sushi I ve ever had!!! Worth every penny thank you Aikawa. They also tailor to gluten free Dietary restrictions: Tailor to gluten free
First time. Service by Renée was amazing. Good suggestion and joyful. The food was amazing. Melt in your mouth. We will come back for sure. I recommand to sushi amateur.
Very good, old I you will not waste your money.
Sushi was excellent but chicken Teriyaki was tasteless, tempura was soggy. Very overpriced for quality
Amazing sushi
I got sick because of Sashimi. My girlfriend told me that their sushi is very ordinary comparing to other places like Kyomi. They didnt have good services either. Mostly, they were busy with their old customes. Definitly, Aikawa is overrated.
We went for dinner this evening. The food was excellent, but the service could improve. There was a lot of waiting around when we were only 1 of 3 tables.
Ordered sushi for 2 plus extra stuff, 2x containers came for 84$ plus tip, lots of sashimi...we were still hungry. Nothing special, I guess I shouldve ordered for 200$ and all a la carte...
Always have an incredible experience here! Renée is an amazing waitress, very attentive and always pleasure!
Excellent Sushi restaurant, top notch. Best in West Island and Montréal, probably in Quebec. We have been addicted to brand and been regular to witness their creativity, hospitality and family environment. Our regular host Renee has been exceptionally accommodating, remembering every detail, making our day with her decorated presentation and jokes. Thank you being there Renee. Absolute bliss, already counting days for the next visit. Kid-friendliness: Our kids love the ambiance and hospitality.
Sushis were ok, service was good. I wish they had deleted their old location from Google Maps because there is no indication that they moved except when you park at the old location and see a sheet attached to the door saying we moved. Makes people waste time.
Aikawa has been my favourite go to for sushi, sashimi, teriyaki and tempura for over 20 years. I ve tried other restaurants around the city and none can compare to the flavour, quality and freshness of their food and their exceptional service. (Thank you Renee for making our evening even better - your friendly and proactive service was a great complement to our fabulous dinner) For those who haven t been to the new new location it s cozier and more private than the last. Best of all, their food tasted better than my memory of it! Continued success Aikawa! Wheelchair accessibility: Wide aisles, easy access throughout the restaurant
This has been my top sushi spot for years. Ive tried many different sushi restaurants and the chefs menu here is out of this world. 10/10
The food and services are great. We were a group of 12 people. They had a cozy place for our group. Their team is very friendly and the food is great. They have many choices even for the people who are not a fan of sushi! We will go back for sure!
I was very disturbed upon picking up my order that was $205, requesting one additional soya sauce and being told by the girl at the front desk that soya sauce is very expensive and we would have to pay for one additional soya sauce. We were four people who were eating our takeout and they had only supplied three soya sauce. This was very disturbing and truly shows a lack of customer service. Petty business is not the way to run a restaurant. I am not saying I would not be back, but I am saying I am very disappointed.
Very good sushi
Our waitress Renée is always attentive, friendly and efficient. Great service! The sushi specials are amazing.
One of my favourite sushi places in the West Island, they have a wide variety of sushi with always fresh tasting fish. Bit more pricey than all you can eat type of places but we ll worth it for the quality of food.
Renée welcomed us in the new location with some fanfare. We re regulars. We had tempura for entre and sashimi for the main. As usual this experience was a memorable one. Sooo fresh and delicious. Presentation was delicate and beautiful. This new location is ideal for parking availability. The decor is what we expected with Aikawa , tasteful and wonderful. Awesome!!
Aikawa is a great restaurant, fresh sushi with options for everyone. what really stood out was our exceptional server, Renee. She was friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience extra special. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Well definitely be returning soon to enjoy the fantastic sushi and the top-notch service. Highly recommend
Love this restaurant ! Food is exquisite and hosting and service with Renee is impeccable and such a pleasure!
Trying new restaurants is lots of fun for this foodie. Good sushi restaurants that are not over priced, are even harder to find. Well, we found one. Aikawa is one of those restaurants that serve a variety of sushi, sashimi, and cooked Japanese food. We did order 2 of the specialty rolls; Empress and Tango Mango. The Empress was amazing, while the Tango Mango was very refreshing for a hot summer day. We ordered sashimi of grilled eel and scallops. The eel was perfectly cooked with a light sauce and delicious, but the scallops were without any taste. Then, yes, we ordered more. We had 4 sushi rolls: Spicy salmon, a Rainbow, Aikawa eel and a Tokyo. All we perfectly rolled and very tasty. We did order saké: 1 hot and 1 cold. Both were great. You cant go wrong with saké. All in all, we enjoyed the service, atmosphere, and food at this newly related Aikawa restaurant. Its a definite keeper to our restaurant list.
The place is magnificent, the welcome is very cold and the saddest thing is that the cashier made us pay the tip twice on the same table, but I paid 15% tip for the group and she forced my guest to pay again the 15%, by force instead of giving us our change, she refused to give us the return saying that the tip for childrens meals, no sense, Im really sorry and wont come back there again Parking: Parking is easy and accessible to everyone! Kid-friendliness: Very good, more space to move!
Very good sushi at affordable prices, very good service!
Aikawa is the best, everything is so fresh. Long time waiters who remembers you. My relaxing place
Focusing more on specialized Makis than traditional Japanese fare. If you love the rolls, this place will appeal to you. If you are looking for traditional Japanese style sushi, expect blank stares from the chefs.
We ve been coming to Aikawa forever. It is our go-to Sushi restaurant. We look forward to being served by Renee who is absolute gem (ask for her when you come!) Highly recommend the restaurant for both take out and in house service. Dietary restrictions: I have an avocado allergy and they have never made a mistake with my order. Kid-friendliness: My kids love this place. Lots of great options for children
We love coming here! The food is great and always fresh. Love the lychee and apple martinis. Our server Renee always has a smile and remembers us and our orders. Great atmosphere for a date night or a group dinner. Highly recommend
Amazing Place! You cannot find better sushi and sashimi in the west island of Montreal! And the service is outstanding! Renée was our server she is simply amazing! So were the other servers...
Aikawa is a reliable choice. The food, the atmosphere and the service are impeccable. We really appreciate the miso soup and the vegan sushi choices. Shout out to Renee who always welcomes us with an inside joke when we arrive :-) Vegetarian options: About a dozen vegan choices in terms of sushi. Parking: Parking is plentiful Kid-friendliness: We love to come here with kids, we order the edamame as an appetizer.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Aikawa Sushi Restaurant and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. As a sushi enthusiasts both my partner and I have visited numerous sushi restaurants, but this place truly stood out in terms of taste, presentation, and overall dining experience. Now, lets talk about the star of the show - the sushi. Every dish that arrived at our table was a work of art. The sushi chefs at Aikawa clearly possess immense skill and creativity. Each piece was meticulously crafted, showcasing the freshest ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. The fish was incredibly fresh and melted in our mouths, leaving us craving more. The menu offers a wide variety of sushi rolls and sashimi, catering to both traditional and adventurous palates. Whether you prefer classic options like the California roll or are open to trying more unique creations, this place has something for everyone. I highly recommend trying their specialty rolls, as they are a true testament to the chefs creativity and expertise. In addition to the exceptional sushi, our server Renee was absolutely fantastic! She was very helpful and personable. She made excellent suggestions, and made our visit the best ever. In conclusion, if you are a sushi lover or simply someone who appreciates exceptional Japanese cuisine, Aikawa Sushi is a must-visit. With its outstanding sushi, warm atmosphere, and attentive staff, it guarantees an unforgettable dining experience.
Great food, service and ambience. Renée consistently makes us feel welcome and goes over and above to make sure that we are completely satisfied. I highly recommend Aikawa!!!!! Food : 5/5
Wonderful service! Amazing sushi! I love the simple , which is nigiri, sashimi and it was just wonderful Staff was very kind and very attentive. Madona the owner was not only a pleasure but her staff adores her . Which is why this place is a must try on the West Island
Ever since we settled in the West Island 7 years back, Aikawa has consistently been our sushi sanctuary. The atmosphere effortlessly blends comfort with a genuine charm, and the service has always been reliable. The ingredients maintain their freshness and delightful flavors. Id genuinely suggest exploring their Chefs Creations menu; these dishes truly stand out. Their new location boasts an ambiance thats a perfect blend of contemporary and traditional. Its reminiscent of the trendy sushi spots youd come across in LA. Whether youre planning a special date night or an enjoyable outing with friends, Aikawa comes highly recommended. Its been our go-to for all occasions, and it never disappoints.
My fiancée and I have been going to Aikawa for many years. Tonight we finally went to their new location and as always, we are greeted with friendly smiles and we felt like we were right at home. We were lucky to be served yet again by Renee who has always been so kind to us all these years. The quality and quantity of the food is impeccable and we can t wait to come back!!! Thanks Renee and the team
Came here last minute with my son! Thrilled we did! Warm welcomes and cozy table. Probably some of the best sushi ever! Ask for David!!!! He s so friendly!! We will definitely be back!!! Love the new location!
The sushi is excellent, the portions are generous and the waiters are genuinely kind and extremely diligent regarding service.
Went for dinner and had Renee as our waitress. As usual, everything was excellent. Highly recommended!
Always great service and hospitality with Renee, and the food is always fresh!
Certainly one of the top suchi restaurants in the west of Montreal.
We had a wonderful family supper. Our waitress, Renée attended to us efficiently and professionally. We trusted her recommendations which were all delicious!
The presentation was wonderful!
I ordered takeout and unfortunately it was not very fresh looking or tasting. I found multiple small bones in my nigiri, which was a first for me. The rolls were also poorly constructed and didn t stay together at all when I tried to pick them up. I ve had a lot of sushi and this isn t very good. Most sushi in Quebec didn t very good in general, but this place is definitely a skip. The rolls were clumsily made, a lot of rice, hugely chopped fillings that spilled out, and fish that didn t taste fresh
The best sushi in town. Made only better by my favorite server Renee she is above and beyond the very best xoxo Vicky
Best sushi in town and Renee is the best waitress and makes excellent suggestions. Suzanne
Aikawa sushi is simply the best sushi restaurant in the West Island. Everything on the menu is just perfection. Fresh fish, fresh veggies and crispy tempura, you just cant get enough. You have to try the Montréal roll or the Queen of the sea roll in the chefs creation. And if you go, ask to be seated in Renees section. Shell treat you like royalty.
I loved this a la carte sushi place in the west island. All the sushis we took were very good and fresh. The staff was really nice. The tempura was really good and not too heavy. The sushi pizza was good as well. You will definitely come out of here satisfied to your sushi cravings Definitely a must try
Got the initiation combo. The non fried rolls were warm and the restaurant is not far away. Did not follow instructions to not provide chopsticks or soy sauce. The rolls themselves were alright, seemed a little much for the quality price but it was definitely filling. Bunny orange slice is a cute presentation addition.
Food used to be so much better at their old location!!
What an amazing restaurant. The food is the best in the West Island and the service (Renee) is outstanding. Keep it up!
Very good services !!!
The best food and the best customer service I ever had. We definitely recommend this place. Thanks so much Renee and David, you are the best and very attentionate
Good service and food would recommend
Very good food and service waiters was very polite and nice
Great food and fast service. Renee was very professional and friendly! We love coming for lunch or supper. We will be back soon.
Best sushi in town!
The food is delicious and beautifully displayed. Renee our waitress is the best she s kind, cheerful and considerate she always remembers us when we walk in. She s definitely an asset to the restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available. Parking: Lots of parking available.
Still very good place at new location. But very busy.
The food was delicious. The owner made a point to put a smile on my face. P.S. Highly recommend the desserts. Jodysjewelry
hair in my fried sushi, sashimi tasted mediocre and no taste to be honest
Perfect spot for a girls night out! Everything was delicious and fresh!! Friendly staff - attentive but let you enjoy the time there!
Super restaurant! Delicious food and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is also very nice. Friendly and excellent service. The owner discovered one of us had a birthday and surprised her with a birthday dessert. Our new favourite restaurant
I was very disappointed today at lunch . I had very good sushi in the past . Today I had the chefs special and it was tasteless and very plain . I was too embarrassed because I had invited a friend for lunch , but I would have spoken to the manager . It was the worst sushi I had in a while and at a restaurant I was so fond of ! I seriously should have asked for a refund ! Expensive and tasteless .
Paid 120$ 1 assortment of sashimi : good overall (very hard to mess up) 1 plate assorted by chef : only 1 roll with fish which was ridiculous for the price) Food : 2/5
Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. Excellent recommendations and warm service from Renée every time! Try the chef s specialities, so many great options!
Best place to have delicious sushi in West Island. Staff are amazing cheerful and so professional
Alright listen up, we got a goodie here. Its a little bit more expensive than other places but I would say its worth it. There are a lot of choices here, not just for sushi, but also other foods. My girlfriend and I had sushi, some new ones we havent had and I gotta say it was delicious. The shrimp tempura and cream cheese took my by surprise, I didnt think it would be that good, but the tempura is just perfect. Salmon and tuna felt fresh, and I even have scallop too, which usually I dont see on other menus. It was great, and to top it all off, the desert. You would think that fried banana and vanilla ice cream would be in a small bowl, but not this time. This desert is so simple yet it just works, everything combined in the plate makes a great desert that is easily shareable with your significant other after a big sushi fest. This place makes a really nice family day or a date, I would recommend Aikawa sushi strongly with their quick service and great food!
Visited this restaurant earlier this week and I have to say that the food here is amazing! I had the Bonsai combo (15 piece assortment of nigiri, maki, and chefs specialty). The food was delicious, the waitress was courteous and the food came out in a timely manner. Looking forward to my visit here the next time Im in town! Note, this location is following covid protocols.
I was definitely expecting more for a 50$ sushi combo, especially since the portion isnt that big to begin with. Even though the quality of the ingredients were better than a lot of other restaurants, the sushi itself was only average in my opinion. The rice was too soft and mushy, so when I was picking up the sushi, everything would fall out. Moreover, the homemade soya sauce was lacking a bit in flavours, just like the wasabi. They were a bit too diluted in flavours for me. I did really enjoy however the mayo sauce they served with the sushi. The flavours were impactful and paired well with the deep fried sushi. I am usually not a fan of deep fried sushi, but this one had great crispiness to it and a great sauce along with it. The small container they used to serve the sauce was a bit questionable though. It was too small for any dipping so I am not sure what the plan was suppose to be.
Delicious fresh sushis with a good service.
Ordered by ubereats, sashimis were stale, colour brown. They should be ashamed of themselves!
Been ordering from here for years, supported them during covid often. Made an order tonight for over $100 which is the minimum we usually order for. We asked to make sure there was enough soya sauce which is a regular request. The person who answered the phone said you need around 5 soya, I said perfect. She then stated that she would have to charge extra. Spoke to the owner who refused to give soya sauce without charging for them. Cancelled my order over soya sauce??? Wow I m just blown away! I told the owner to look up my name and see the amount of times I have ordered and the business they will lose. Guess it doesn t matter to them. Weird form of customer service.
Nice gem sushi restaurant found while in the area, tried their table d hôte card with their sushi selections and It was probably the freshest and tastiest sushi we had in a while.Prices are decent for the quality you get.Nice vibe well appointed place. Not too loud with enough tables to come in groups.Parking is easy to find. Only one thing to improve is the little smell present in the restaurant that is a mix of spices and cleaning product?! Service was 10/10 from our friendly waitress.Would definitely come back when in the area.
Great quality for a very reasonable price. Nice atmosphere and beautiful decor while not pretentious in style or pricing. The sushi was very tasty and their homemade soy sauce is delicious. My only negative feedback is that the ginger was too strong and overpowering the sushi. It would be good to have a visual of the specialty sushi dishes because at about $20 each, you dont want to be disappointed so best to manage the customers expectations!
Delicious as always. Their speciality roles are some of the best Ive had. The service is always friendly and quick as well.
Normally I like to give 5 stars. However, I ordered the sashimi table dhote and the sashimi was not fresh at all. I additionally ordered some Hamachi (3 pieces for 7.50) which tasted water logged. To make it worse, the service was not good.
Succulent and delicious. A success
Unassuming outside but really really good inside. Best tempura ever and great cocktails. Their website doesnt do it justice.
Aikawa not only has amazing quality sushi, but the staff were great as well. Not only was our waiter very nice and attentive, but every staff member with interacted with were extremely pleasant as well. The sushi was light and buttery/melted in your mouth. Yes, its a bit pricier, as some have said, but it is high quality seafood, and the price is more than competitive for the quality and taste of the food we received. I highly suggest getting the sushi or sashimi combos and trying a variety! Overall, a wonderful experience.
Its O-kay. On the pricey side. I just had their (Bonsai), its normal. Even less than normal. But the only negative I personally found was that I couldnt connect to their WiFi. Not only that but when I asked their answer was theres nothing wrong with our internet. I guess my new Galaxy is going nuts. I do not recommend.
Fresh and large variety, friendly service, good parking
The sushi was mediocre. The staff while efficient wasnt friendly at all. We did not feel they wanted us there. However pricing was reasonable but there was no explanation of how to order the sushi.
Arrived here with limited (but enough) time. The wait staff understood and were excellent. Very attentive and we had a fabulous meal. Queen of the Sea was our last dish and made a terrific dessert . Would definitely go back again.
The best sushi in the west island. A little pricy but well worth it!
The sushi are really good! The first time I ordered, I took the sushi and sashimi combo and it was delicious! I loved how the size of the sashimi are big enough! For my second order, I took the sushi for 2 and was a bit disappointed. Dont think I will be ordering again. Taste like average sushi and they are using regular soy sauce...
Awesome restaurant..I would come back here 100% every month. So so so good
Excellent
Beautiful spacious setting, discreet but attentive staff and great sushi.
Excellent. Called today and ordered for 6 people. Rene answered the phone and told me she would take care of it. The sushi player came and it was fantastic. Fresh and amazing!
Given we were a group of 20 ppl we had the best service we couldve hoped for. Very accomodatin, flexible and opened past there opening hours. Sushi was fresh and high quality. Thank you for the amazing service!
Love the food here, best sushi in the west island. Take-out isnt as good as dining in, so seeing its pricey I suggest dining in.
Very nice ambiance, prices are good and the staff is on pont. Very good overall
Pretty good food, great service!
The food was ok but we feel we have had better sushi and that this restaurant was overpriced in comparison. We tried it but will not be coming back
High end Sushi Place in West Island of Montreal. The service was impeccable and the sushis are simply delicious! Strongly recommend!
Its OK, friendly staff, food was mediocre atmosphere feels like youre in a bus station. Ive lived in Japan I know what good sushi is at least the Wasabi was hot would not go there again.
Nice place to grab a quick lunch. The inside is nice, and the staff were very friendly. The sushi was quite decent for Montreal.
Great sushis
The food is excellent and the service impeccable! All the staff are attentive, they know how to take care of the customers. We will return there, thats for sure!
Very solid, very consistent. Always good!
This was our first time ordering and we were not disappointed. Their sushi was really fresh and their quality was amazing. The service was excellent too. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and will order again.
Ordered from this restaurant about once per month throughout the entirety of Covid to support them. Now that things are getting better and the restaurant feels they do not need our business, they decided to stop delivering to our area. A real shame because its a good restaurant but just goes to show how they do not value customer loyalty.
Whoever is creating the sushi here is an absolute genius. Ordered the Ultimate combo for my girlfriend and I and it is needless to say we will definitely be coming back when the dining room opens up.
The food was very good, both the sushi and the beef teriaki
Excellent sushi and sashimi, with superb service.
Best sushi in the West Island!
Their Sushi is very good and we enjoyed our group in a small room in the back
Absolutely amazing! I ordered takeout and mentioned that someone with a gluten allergy would be having some of what I ordered they made sure everything they included was completely free of gluten so I didn t have to stress about possible contamination. Super quick service and super kind and helpful staff
One of the best sushi restaurants in Montreal!
Quality of sushi was great especially for the chef s specials. Some pieces weren t that good and hard to chew (I believe it was the samurai that had crispy chicken in it. Way over cooked) Staff wasn t as professional as I expected. Gentleman over the phone was dry and not as polite as he should ve been especially at a high end resto. Only the tall blond French girl was nice when we got served. When it was time to pay, the lady at the cash gave me advice about tipping before I even had the chance to make my selection. I felt her attitude was entitled and she definitely wasn t trying to be polite. That same girl was sitting next to us talking loudly to some client for 45 mins while my girlfriend & I were trying to have some quality time. Nobody else in the resto was as loud as her. Kinda ruined the atmosphere for us. I still tipped about 12% only because I appreciated the professional blond employee and the chef s specials.
Wow, I really loved my dining experience here. The food was fresh and everything tasted sublime. The waiting staff were very gracious. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Aikawa Sushi.
Sushi was great, server was really nice and helpful.
Good sushi. Not all the rolls were memorable. We had the jade roll, the one night stand, empress , the rose maki, and my favorite is the besame mucho.
Has been one of the best sushi restaurants in the West Island for years. Even when you order through Uber eats it still arrives warm and fresh. Highly recommended!!!
Gooood
Great food, great staff. Always exceed our expectations.
Such an underrated sushi spot.. Aikawa has been around for years and overshadowed by overpriced next-door neighbors. The sushi is well prepared, delicious and the service is impeccable. Thank you for a wonderful experience Aikawa!
The food was tasty & fresh, dining area mid to upscale - a good place for sushi. Only very minor suggestion: if you like sweet soya, get it elsewhere (like Metro grocery store. they dont have it, & no reason to penalize -1point for that. Maybe in future...)
Very good sushi, and the service was awesome. Parking was easy. Recommended!
Pricy
Nice settings, nice drinks, friendly staff. The only reason I dont give it a 5 is because the sushi was good but unremarkable. Sushi has become so ubiquitous that its very hard for it to stand out. It simply didnt.
Renée was our waitress and the service was EXCELLENT...food very tasty! Overall beautiful restaurant. We shall return! Loved there menu display on screen. Never seen that done before.
A delightful experience. Food was mouthwatering, delicious, and creative. Presentation was lovely. Staff were really courteous. Even dessert was amazing! Solid 5 star experience. One suggestion maybe add lounge music. Some clients were speaking loudly... Other than that no complaints. Highly recommended!
Great food and staff! I Went to dinner with my friend and ordered the sushi plater for 3, the fish was so fresh and flavorful and it was ready very quickly. The staff was very accommodating and had such great attitudes, they were an absolute pleasure. If you want good quality sushi and great service come here you will not be disappointed. I live in Laval and will definitely be making the trip back here soon!
