I like this place even though it s overpriced! My main problem is the tip on the contactless machine( 22-25 or 28% after taxes). Why should I pay more than 15% for a beer??? It s not the waiter fault but the manger should put 15 on the machine!!!

Not as bad as expected... We read the reviews after we ordered and expected the worst. But we were pleasantly surprised. The service was extremely friendly, we were provided with tap water and refilled without asking) The food came quickly (~15 minutes) and tasted okay. Of course not restaurant quality like in Germany, but definitely okay for an airport.

1 hour for 2 New York steaks, much overcooked (requested rare) and tenders so dry that all the ketchup in the world couldnt rehydrate them... so much so that I thought they were going to kill the cow for my steak, so c It was long... Finally and barely served, the bill was presented to us, therefore punished with dessert... without offering any gesture on our drinks in view of the wait and above all paying before even having tasted the my dish... Well I do that at McDonalds but not at the restaurant... For the first time in almost 3 weeks in Canada I didnt leave a tip. The slowness of the kitchen has nothing to do with the service, I know that, but the attitude like yes I know but I dont care to be clear it was annoying for me

I took advantage of this little restaurant while connecting to the Montreal airport. Interesting choice of items on the menu. Prices are what you would expect from an airport, not necessarily affordable and a bit overpaid. The quality of the poutine was okay. The service was good and fast for me.

Stopped here on a layover. No one approached us after ten minutes of waiting. Finally, after interrupting servers that were on their own phones, we were able to get some service. The drinks were way overpriced and not good at all. Our chicken wings were served with no cutlery and no napkins. We finished our order of chicken wings without being asked if we would like anything more or even how they tasted. We got our bill and left after this poor experience. Too bad!

Ive been coming here for 3 years and Ariane, Emma and Clemence have always given amazing service. She even remembered my name! Located at gate 53 international departures.

Omg. The service I received by your server NANA was second to none. He paid attention to details. His suggestions for bar and meal were spot on. The Food was delicious. It s my 1st but surely not the least. As airport prices are skyrocket, receiving service as Nana lets us quickly forget the costs. Bravo Nana. Industrial meal, the pizza ordered is the same one I already ate in a vending machine at my old job...but not at the same price! Waitress clearly not motivated to work in this place...

I loved this place!! We had a 3-hour connection and took advantage of it to eat, good prices, quality food and excellent service, I recommend it and of course I would return. Just a tip when paying if or if they invite you to leave a tip starting at 18% so you can consider it

We asked if we have enough time to order something small, because our boarding starts in 20 minutes. After that, we had to wait 18 minutes until we received our order. Other than that, the service was nice, the food was underwhelming.

Clemence was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. Clemence was engaging, knowledgeable about the menu and our food choices (we requested some input she did not disappoint). She was extremely pleasant and I will come back here again due to our dining experience and the killer wings!!!! Thank you Clemence.

We came here at 5AM for breakfast. Fresh coffee, food was delicious and portions were fair. Maria was an excellent server and made sure our coffee was topped. Id prefer if the music wasn t that loud in the morning though but that s just preference

Worst service ever. The Hostess kept us waiting for more than 10 minutes to finally tell us that they will close soon . After another 10 minutes she showes up with attitude and lack of respect . An endless wait of 1 hour and 10 minutes to get a burger! No pitcher of water only one glass per person. The price announced on the menu is not the same at the end, the waitress requires a tip of 15% or more so why is there the no tip button? You have to explain to me. In France we give a tip when the service is up to par, but this was not at all the case. A shame! I gave my tickets for payment and the waitress didnt want to give me change because they dont give change for 2 euros! To flee the French please

To flee the French! Waitresses charge a minimum of 15% tips even with terrible service. A wait of 1h30 or more for a burger! If you dont give the exact amount, no change, they keep everything, its a shame!

Catastrophic service We arrive at 6 p.m. and ask is it possible to eat in 1 hour because I have to board quickly, the staff answers me, theres no problem as you can see, there arent many people. The waiter brings me the card at 6:30 p.m.... despite several reminders... This airport bar is to be avoided... Exorbitant prices, a waitress dressed in an indecent or provocative manner who ripped me off when paying An ordinary beer at $13.25 Canadian dollar. I had $20 US dollars left, so a much higher rate. The waitress with the initials AL asked me for a tip, I said a dollar and she gave me 25 cents Canadian... I called her back and told her I wanted $4 back... She came back with parts a long time later.... I didnt even check. How can we legitimately scam this common practice? By reading the other reviews, I can tell you that I am not the only one to report the operation of this bar It seems like only wealthy people travel. I will never transit through Montreal again And Mr Ayman should be ashamed and resign.

Service was really bad, very disorganized, not enough staff. It took 30 mins for us to order drinks. Meanwhile other tables got their food before us. Finally, when the server came, she had the wrong drinks, happened twice. Would not recommend. I feel bad for the staff, who were doing their best to keep up, it seemed stressful for them. Nice decor. Great to see Valpolicella red wine on the menu. Poutine was ok. Sweet chilli chicken wings were crispy and well presented. Service, a bit slow but it was getting late.

The staff seems extremely bored. They dont bother to provide a little service. Without a tray, they quickly dump 2 overpriced wine glasses on your table. And you pay 20 euros for a frozen pizza and when paying they are extremely offended if you only tip 10%.

Mixed, during our first visit, impeccable service, we were well explained the tipping system, for our return flight, average service, the waiter forces us to give 15% tips without using the function on the TPE, then we take our American Dollars which have the same value as Canadian Dollars!!! 3 key service points needed for a good airport restaurant: - attentive, quick and friendly service They are missing all of that. Service was slow, didnt pay attention at all. Also not friendly, they gave us a feeling of being not welcome, especially the women that looked like they hate it working there. Food was ok, pricey for what you get. But they charge a minimum of 18(!!!!)% service charge. Standard during card payment is 25, hahahahaha. For what?! Dont go there.

Discouraging service so as not to be absent..charge of 5 dollars on a lunch at 25 because my partner does not eat, in case she shares on my plate, specifying to us that it is her boss Marc André who forces her to charge these additional costs on a lunch already at an exorbitant price. 30 minutes of waiting in line, only 6 tables to occupy. The waitress discourages us at the entrance by telling us that it will be long, that she is alone, yet we can clearly see 3 other employees. In short, go elsewhere if you want to get your trip off to a good start

Thank God I am flying to Frankfurt via Montreal and I had the chance to taste the greatest burger ever. U bar Burger is simply the best. Great service by Patricia as well. Highly recommended place.

Decent food but good service. On the menu, maple syrup is advertised and we are served TABLE syrup. We are extremely disappointed. My partner and I produce maple syrup, so it is very insulting to usurp the name maple syrup for a sweet syrup that is not edible. It takes all the fun out of eating pan cakes! And very bad publicity among tourists! Maple syrup = national treasure Please respect the maple syrup and the customers!

After a long delay of our flight and only to finally have it cancelled last minute, the only silver lining to our miserable wait was the one whom they call Clemence. Besides her friendly and professional attitude and honest recommendations we found her to be the highlight and she deserves praise. This is from 3 world travellers. Thanks Clementine!

I got served by a waiter named Abbass. It was an awful experience, the waiter didn t let me split the bill yet other waiters were completely fine with splitting the bills. Honestly I work at a restaurant and I m also a restaurant owner and this isn t the definition of customer service. The food on the other hand wasn t bad, I had a beef burger which was quite dry. To the owner please do have a check up with your employees because I m sure by the service you wouldn t be impressed. Will not be coming back here and I ll definitely let others know about my experience.

Horrible service is allll I can say. When I arrived I was asked if I had enough time before my flight because there was a lot of people, and I did. The waitress started serving beer to other customers so I asked if I could get a coffee while I was waiting and her reply was : I told you it was going to take time because of how busy we are. I asked her again nicely if I could just get a coffee while I was waiting but to place my food order I was going to wait. I eventually placed my order, but after a while another serve brought me my bill. So I told him I was still waiting for my plate, the other NICE waiter was surprise since I had been waiting for a while. He came back with my plate saying it had been sitting there in the kitchen so my eggs were cold. He offered to have the kitchen make me another plate, which by then I simply refused so he offered to give me a discount. Welllllll he wait to my waitress and she refused, saying you can t just start giving discounts to single female travellers. At the end I told the nice waiter it was ok and paid my 22$ cold egg plate.

Incredible experience for a transit. Franck the bartender is welcoming and provides the best musical selection that has ever been made in the history of international airports.

But what a shame to have to say: it was better before! Came in 2020, well received, poutines worthy of the name and good beers. There its autotune music via the same album, deplorable service and attitude of the staff without forgetting that the portions are much less well served, almost cold and you will only be entitled to a fork. A good poutine at YUL during our visits, it s ancient history, too bad.

Disappointed, cold welcome, cold cheese Poutine, portion half as much as the photo, music not varied, rap on loop and not the best. What a shame, so much money and time wasted.

The service is very slow. They didn t come to take our order for a very long time. I had a switch tables to get their attention. The food tastes average.

Very very nice, smiling and professional waitress. Tasty food, but its very expensive: 2 hamburgers, 2 small beers, taxes and tip: almost $100. Tiring and too loud rap music. When you want to eat, hearing a rapper shout f***k you is not inviting. The guy at the bar prefers to choose music for his friends instead of respecting the customers.

A nice place, but staff really not trained childish. A somewhat stout lady behind the bar was the only one who was very attentive. The rest , why little children. Especially a younger lady with glasses who was also in the bar buying you. Didnt look in the back for almost 15 minutes. Three customers want to pay once to the back. The one lady is a bit stronger, she even goes to the tables and cashes up and serves. You notice that the staff are not fully booked. Because some do a lot and some cant give their head to have an overview. You should kick out the manager who is that organised and has a bad report card People, customers were annoyed because a lot of staff just look at the floor and not up to see if maybe the customer wants something else. I have a lot of stopovers in Montreal, but I wont drink here again.

The service was terrible and it s wasn t the first time we ve been there but this time the man that served us was really the worst we had at this restaurant, rude and was never coming at the table we are in an airport most people have a plane to catch and when it take over 30-40 min to catch the attention of the server it s a big no also we had to stand up and go directly to the bar more than once to ask for stuff since our server was never coming and it wasn t busy the food also terrible, we usually go to the airport the morning so we get breakfast and they are ok there but the food for dinner wasn t good at all and way too expensive for what it was.

The service is just 0. Ordered drinks and they weren t even full quantity. The server caught an attitude when called out. I Have never been to Quebec, I suggest just give them their own country at this point.

Nice setting, decent food...and nice staff..!!

Perfect restaurant for a nice airport lunch. This morning, 3 of us ate here and were very satisfied with our experience. Impeccable service (thanks again to our waitress Margarita who made sure we had everything we needed). 2 of us shared a full lunch plate (the $5 extra charge for sharing made the most money, as they made us a plate each). The 3rd person had a plate of pancakes, the only downside of our moment, the plate was a little empty for the price.

Any pizza, particularly high prices. Please note this is not a tax-free zone. Great amateurism in the service, 15 minutes waiting for the card machine to work in the middle of the airport and without any compensation (offering a coffee while waiting, etc.). All put together, that makes a mini pizza for $33, a joke. To avoid.

Food was terrible. Expensive $25 Crispy Chicken Sandwich had the same Chicken Tender (single piece) that they offer in $12 Kids menu (at least Kids menu had 2 tenders). Ubar burger was bland, dry. Fries were so oily and limp that they were coating the throat.

If you want garbage service at ridiculous prices , this is the place. Once I read that they service ice coffee , I reserved a table. Once I give the waiter my order , I was served with an attitude like response that s it ! . The waiter then came to me and asked if I would like to eat something , about 2 minutes after serving my coffee. The response from me was I was enjoying my coffee as of now. He then gave me the bill and asked me to leave. On the contrary , the man who seated me at the front desk was extremely kind. He helped me out tremendously. I there for tipped him 70% on the already overpriced food , which I willingly ordered in hopes a quality service was served along with it.

Friendly, hospitable service and a pretty good, calm ambiance in the heart of the busy international terminal. The food is basic, standard pub fare and moderately more expensive than what youd pay outside an airport. The main items include poutine, burgers, chicken wings, salads. I had the chicken wings in a sweet and spicy mango sauce; reasonable portion and it tasted quite good.

We ordered burgers with fries. Came relatively quickly and were totally inedible. No seasoning on the burger meat and the fries were cold Im also not sure what kind of bun this is supposed to be. And they want 25 dollars for that! Absolute joke - dont go there if youre in Montreal airport!

We were promised that the food would be delivered to boarding in 50 minutes. Despite reminding us several times that we were in a hurry, the food wasnt ready. When our flight was called we paid for the drinks and left. Since we refused to pay for the uneaten food - since it wasnt brought - the police were called. Our boarding pass was taken away until we had paid. Our son and we were totally shocked.

I had lunch at your restaurant. I was waited on by Clemence. She was fantastic! People kept coming in and she kept her cool. She was the only waitress working and she hustled. She deserves a raise. Look at your receipts from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. She seated all the people and then quickly took their orders. I travel a lot and never saw someone WORK so hard at an airport restaurant.

Bizarre. Host hardly spoke or made eye contact. When I asked for glasses of water for our table, our server told me they only sold bottled water then later proceeded to serve glasses of water to other tables in eyeshot. At one point an employee entered the restaurant to start his shift and decided to clap his hands so loudly and obnoxiously that the entire restaurant stopped eating and turned their heads to see what was happening. On top of all that, burger was bone dry.

Staff were insane. If you ever do go on an international flight you must grab a drink at Ubar resto bar and hope to get served by Ariane, Tara, Emily, Alicia & Clémence!

We had 2 beef and chicken burgers. The fries were lukewarm and not crispy. The burgers were very classic and no more. The small coleslaw salad is ok. The bill was quite high for 2 burgers and fries. In short, we have had better and it seems possible to try other restaurants in the terminal without risk...

Food is not really good, it tastes like frozen food badly warmed up. Restaurant is kind of tacky and not really clean (table was not cleaned up, the host simply wiped the table with his own hand). Prices are expensive too. Only good point : our waitress was very nice. You can just avoid this place.

The service was HORRIBLE. Clerk #6 deserved to be in the back. Worst service I have ever had. I work in the service business and he would be in our employment. Ask for water and the check and I had ask two other employees to ask him to bring the check. He just the water down.

They cram way too many tables into this place and there is no room for your luggage. They tell you to leave it on a far away wall not close to your table. The burgers are horribly bland and dry. The poutine was decent but how can you mess up French fries with cheese curds and brown gravy? Service was slow and bothersome. The waiter insisted that we move our luggage while everyone else could keep theirs at the table? Not sure what was in the sangria but it was just ok. Won t be back.

I am being held captive in the International area of the airport and needed somewhere to unwind. Here comes Ubar and Nana to the rescue. A great couple of beers and poutine later and I am able to take on the next leg of my flight. The bar is literally in front of gate 53, yet the music transported me to elsewhere. Nana was attentive but not pushy and I spent a nice relaxed couple of hours whittling away my 6+ hour layover. Thanks!! Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza is on the menu

Bought a rum and coke, coke cola was absolutely flat, asked for another, got given the same thing, terrible drink. Said if we wanted coke from the can we d have to pay extra.

There are 6 servers milling around the bar and waiting for it to happen. Non-existent service. Value for money to be reviewed, with this price displayed we dont serve food like this... Blah blah. And to try the tables please think about reusable napkins..

Food ok, nothing more. Poor service. And to top it off, the waiter finds that he doesnt have enough tip and asks for more, even though initially he didnt necessarily deserve it given the service received. Avoid at all costs!!

The absolute worst service experience with an over the top rude server who threw our bill at us while we were seated. No drinks were refilled, didnt check on the table after food was served, long ticket times. It is just not worth the money for poor service and mediocre food.

The U-Bar makes a good visual impression, so we went in without looking too closely at the prices. We were served very friendly. We were asked in advance whether we had at least 40 minutes. That was fine with us. Surprisingly, the food was at the table after 10 minutes before the drinks. It was OK but not remarkable for the price. (Salad in a tiny soggy paper bowl, which is more intended for ketchup). The burgers were good, cheese or bacon only with an additional charge. What particularly annoyed me personally in retrospect was that I felt taken by surprise when it came to tipping. Payment by credit card: Variant 1-30%, Var 2 - 25% (selected!) Var.3 - 18% and Variant 4 - free entry - but in the do-it-yourself method. For me as a German, this seems strange and reminds me of robber barons. I chose the 3, not because the service was great, but because I wasnt used to the method.

Great bar to grab a beer before your flight. Sat at the bar and fast and friendly service. Grolsch was not on tap at the moment, but the Peroni also did well. Qrispy quesadillas were very tasty!

Horrible service. Sat there for 20mins and wasnt even offered a drink. Left and went to Hurleys (close by) and had a drink in 5mins. Avoid this terrible place if you have a plane to catch!

Unpleasant staff especially lady with black hair and pierced tongue. A substantial tip needs to be earned and bad service does not earn it. Nor does an ugly attitude.

The food was excellent. Great service from the waitress behind the bar! Despite a very condescending client, she knew how to maintain her patience and her smile!

Keeps within limits. Quite ok for the airport, but only because there are hardly any alternatives. Hunger drives it in. Vegetarian options: You can order the pizza without meat and otherwise there are fries and salad. There is no real vegetarian or vegan dish. Wheelchair accessibility: is given.

I really advise you (if anyone reads this): go somewhere else. I can agree with the previous speakers, the ambience is really the only good thing about this store. The service really wasnt good, or I didnt really feel welcome. The food was almost at rest stop level, which isnt that bad if you dont keep an eye on the prices. 25 dollars for a small Bibibubu burger with dry bread and fries. My colleagues pizza was obviously from the freezer with maybe a few extra toppings. How do I get it? When you lifted it, you saw symmetrically arranged holes in the bottom (like a frozen pizza). A can of Coke $4.50. I know that you pay a little more at the airport (especially in the security area) than usual. But when I think about the fact that someone is charging so much money for such rubbish, in my opinion it cannot be justified by the situation, but only one thing: cheeky. I really recommend everyone: go to the alternatives. There arent many, but youll definitely find one. I was in this restaurant in 2019 and thought things had improved a bit, but I was far from it. Bad decision on my part. Please dont make the same mistake.

Breakfast at Montreal airport before flying to Rome, food just ok, good service.

Service is extremely slow and the food/drinks are ok. Not only was there a small lineup to get in, but once inside, they gave us our drinks and waited over an hour before serving the food. Also, the music is very loud.

The whole service and experience was terrible to say the least. The kitchen messed up our oder several times, the service was rude and our drinking glasses were dirty. They mis-charged our final bill with the table beside ours so we had to send the bill back as well. This was the most frustrating overall experience at a restaurant I have ever had. Would nit recommend

If i could leave 0 stars, i would. Service very slow, understaffed, staff very arrogant and barely answers. Food has no taste or tastes disgusting. Portions aren t the same (coleslaw came in a small condiment carton cup AND was disgusting). They forgot ingredients in the burger. This is an airport restaurant. Should be a TAD more time sensitive ! Horrible experience.

Been discriminated racially as of July 5th 2022. Got turned away by one of the men who assigns seats and told me to go to Junya instead. Racial discrimination at its finest.

Horrible horrible service. We had to wait 40min before ordering and then had to wait almost 2 hours before getting half of our order. On top of that, we ordered water and it never came. We had to personally go see another waitress in order to have it. The food was mediocre and literally thrown at us with utensils and napkins missing. Won t ever come back here. Severely understaffed and unorganized.

The poutine was good. The waitress was very friendly. However, the one who received the people did not even speak with the people. The reception was not good!

I did like the combination of pizza s flavors (goat cheese, pesto sauce, chicken, eggplant) Although the service is very slow, after they take your order, prepare to wait around 1h when your food arrives. Pizza is on the pita bread is kinda weird.

Ubar Resto Bar is a nice lounge at the International Wing of the Montreal airport. Its pinkish ambience will definitely catch your gaze as you walk along to your gate. The bar is one of my favourite side attractions in the airport and I like the way it is designed. One other thing I loved about the bar is the music, they had a range of music from afroveats to hip hop to other genres and the DJ was so good, you wouldnt even notice the change in tempo and songs. The service is good, could be better but the best part of this experience is the food. Being African in Montreal comes with its challenges of finding spicy relatable food and Ubar was able to meet all my needs. I had chicken wings and chicken burger with fries and it was really good! I loved every part of the meal. To be honest it was so good. I had cold chocolate and got the complimentary water but it was good. If you are caught up at the Montreal airport and need somewhere to eat and chill, Ubar is definitely the best choice for you! Ambience Service Food Drink Location

We were served our drinks and then no one came to our table for the full hour and a half we were sitting there. No offer for refills, no one asked us if we even wanted food. We had to ask the same person for our bill twice 15 min apart, the second time we asked it was obvious to us that he forgot the first time. The payment machine starts off with 25% tip. We gave 18%, but they did not deserve it because we got no service at all.

Poutine for $17 (a plate of frozen fries with a little melted cheese and a little sauce). The airport pretext cannot be put forward: other bars in the same airport offer the same product at the same price and of superior quality (I am thinking of the terminal to the USA). Mediocre burger. And when we give them factual feedback (actively solicited, but like everywhere in North America, purely for form), they dont even have the dignity not to ask for the tip (impossible below 10%).

Good burger and fries. On the other hand, the prices with taxes and tips are exorbitant. The waitress is friendly, the same cannot be said for the waiter. Service was great and the atmosphere is awesome, I love the pink!! This is the first time I ve ever been to an airport restaurant so it could be normal but the prices were ridiculous, close to $5 for a can of coke? and my second complaint would be that the fries were unappetizing so that poutine was not worth the $18 I paid for it.

Went there to have a quick meal while catching my next flight. The food is ok but the servers were quite rude one of them even replied back that he was as rushed as me when I expressed concern over not having utensils/napkins brought with the food and the delay (more than 5 mins) to get a set and being able to eat my food not going there again

This morning, we went to the restaurant for lunch while waiting for our flight, the waitress who cleaned my table so that we could sit down, didnt even give us a card, I had to take it myself and whats more, she makes us wait 10 minutes and then goes to serve the customers, last of us. We were before these. What great customer service. If I could give zero I would have given it, for this waitress!
