NEWLY OPENED MAY 2023!!! With a menu as diverse as the clientele it serves, Sahib’s attention to quality is paramount and evident in its lean and fat-free tandoori dishes, gluten-free choices and enough selection for a vegetarian paradise. Join us in our dining room, bar, or terrasse. Take-Out available as well..
Had a really great experience food was good; however service was truly exceptional. Melissa truly understands what hospitality means. The owner of this restaurant is very lucky to have her. Atmosphere was great as well!
Had the absolute pleasure of visiting Sahib's Dorval location for the first time last night for a dear friend's birthday party. The ambience is modern and sleek, the amazing bar staff was attentive, quick and super friendly, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended.
Been going for years but first time to Dorval- food was ALL SUBLIME!!! Only complaint is music should reflect Indian culture, hard to listen to house music when you want the full experience. Servers were very nice and really steered us with our preferences 🥰
My wife and I discovered that restaurant by coincidence while working and we are so happy we did… the Linch box was amazingly good, like extremely good. Perfect restaurant to bring friends and family if you want to impress them.. would recommend 💯💯💯
Had a craving for Indian food… it was satisfied with no ill after-effects. Lovely atmosphere and warm friendly service too. I walked to the restaurant from my airport hotel, 30 minute stroll but navigating the freeway crossing took some creativity. If you’re conservative, it’s well-service by taxis and ride companies. Recommended for good Indian food.
The staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered carry out. The service was timely. The food quality could be improved - samosa wasn’t fully cooked in chaat. The rice and daal were good. The quantity is good enough. Masala tea wasn’t hot/warm enough. You can park either in street or in front of restaurant. Google doesn’t take you to the exact location as it is at intersection.
We were a group of 6 people last Saturday and my husband and I first time. WOW what a great place‼️ The food was delicious and fresh. My husband is Portuguese and I am Italian. We are very picky. Best Indian Restaurant we’ve ever been. The service was great too. Always to help and serve us. Timing of serving the food impeccable too. Definitely we will go back Many thanks to the owner who took the time to speak to us many times over. Also explains the dishes and made recommendations which we all appreciated. Thanks to staff too who are very friendly. ❤️❤️❤️
We're no experts in Indian cuisine, but my wife and I really enjoyed the meal here. We ordered the recommended dishes on the menu (with the green heart): Chicken 65, Shrimp Mollée, Dhaba Chicken, and Lamb curry. The lamb was my favorite, everything else was delicious as well. Pricing for main platters is a bit high imo, as there are really not many blocks of meat for ~$20. The $10 appetizer of Chicken 65 has 3x the quantity of protein vs a main platter. Great decor and excellent service. UPDATE 2023-11-12: the portion sizes for the mains have increased tremendously.
Always great!!
Great and clean restaurant! Friendly staff, exquisite dishes. I recommend.
Everything so so good. Food , service, and care Repeat custumers. Food
Delicious, service in French, lovely atmosphere
Great place for groups, with good service and amazing vegan options!
Amazing food,great staff,cozy ambiance
This restaurant is always a real delight! The food arrives quickly and very hot, the quantities are ample, you can even share. This was our second visit, believe me there will be more. Well done to the whole team Wenda Vegetarian options: Generous and very tasty portions Parking: The parking lot was icy the evening of our outing, the owners should think about the danger of slipping and injuries, it would be necessary to spread an ice melt product
A discovery of this restaurant located in Dorval with an atmosphere, a choice of menu and high quality service, at a VERY respectable price. I highly recommend and would like to highlight and thank the hospitality of Rajiv Chopra, he and his team take care of creating an unforgettable moment. The fantastic suggestions exceeded our expectations. We only want to plan a next time.
Very good vegetarian dish. I would still have liked service in French.
Best Indian fine dining restaurant in Montreal. Great ambiance, amazing servers and very good chef. Wheelchair accessibility: It has barrier free washroom and the restaurant has direct access from the parking
Such a good pearl and very beautiful place
Parking: On site free parking. Food
The food was absolutely delicious. Our server was warm, friendly and welcoming. The ambience was very classy and clean. This restaurant is a must go to in La Salle.
Food is excellent. A bit disappointed you no longer offer the thali plate in the evening. Music a tad loud at times but otherwise enjoyed my dining experience.
Most annoying music, irritating at best, competes with conversations. Great food and service Poor selection of alcohol free beer. Poor chai...served tepid, not adequately spiced, overly milky.
The service was low-key but attentive, the lamb was unbelievably tender and the butter chicken was possibly the best Ive ever tasted.
We went for the dinner before wrapping up our 1 month vacation. We were looking for the place where we could find the vegetarian option (strictly vegetarian). My wife got excited as soon as she got to know there would be no eggs. All the staff were friendly and hospitable. We would like to thank Princy and Tamara for the excellent hospitality. Princy always made sure we were enjoying. Thank you.
Love this place. Food is excellent and very relaxed atmosphere. One of my go to places when in Montreal
We went for an office bday lunch and the food was great. Service was good as well. Restaurant is VERY beautiful compared to the Pointe-Claire location - lots of windows/light, a good size tv at the bar. They also had some lunch specials as well but no buffet. Highly recommend!
Food was amazing from the kitchen but they may need to train servers little more about Indian food.
The staff was super friendly, and the food and beverages were awesome. I would definitely go back!!
Fantastic food, great service, lovely place to have dinner
Great food and staff! We always go there when we re on the west island
Great local restaurant. Refined Indian cuisine, good portions and superb decor. A place to discover
Wonderful meal. Great service Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap accessible Food : 5/5 |
An outstanding dinner at Sahib Dorval. Warm greeting by the owner, escorted to our quite corner table for the four of us. Grace , our most professional server, took our drink order and in no time our beverages were delivered. Grace answered a few questions we had...and then were off for a feast for the eyes and our palates. Perfect spice profile ( which we were asked about...our taste and tolerance ) for each item. Butter Chicken and Madras Lamb were divine. Sides selected of the Paneer Spinach, Lentils and Mixed Vegetables rounded out our service. Naan ..perfect...rice ditto. Grace was attentive through our dining, assuring all was to our liking = a resounding YES from all four of us. The owner dropped by our table...we thanked him for a true culinary adventure and experience. Not our first time at Sahib Dorval, but is was for our friends...all agreed ..we SHALL be back! Bravo team Sahib
I am a frequent diner. Everything is excellent.
Nice hidden Indian restaurant just south of YUL airport in Dorval. Easy to walk to if you have time, weather permitting. Good food selection and quiet atmosphere along with prompt service. Will continue visiting.
Great service and food was fabulous! Never misses to be a great experience!
If youre in Montreal and crave for authentic Indian food, Sahib is the place to visit. The chicken chilli chowrangi is a must have. Their butter chicken and prawns masala balti was exceptional as well. Dont miss their butter garlic naan! Five stars overall, but the only reason I have taken one star off is their their portion sizes are ridiculously tiny for the price. Really wish they had atleast 30-40% bigger portions.
food is absolutely delicious. Everyone at the table was very pleased
Service was great as usual. Food was delicious.
Best Indian food with very warm hospitality perfect Indian atmosphere.
Not the first and not the last time we eat here! Sahib in Dorval is worth it! Vegetarian options: Several excellent options which satisfy everyone Food : 5/5 |
Authentic Indian food, welcoming staff
Good service, excellent Indian meal!
It was my third visit, and this time even i brought my friend alongside as I liked this place but restaurant staff put me down in front of him with a service not up to the point. As neither water nor papad was provided before taking my order, Twice we had to reach the counter for missing items that we ordered, and last ont the least added extra item in the bill that we did not even order.
The most tasteless biryani I have ever eaten, waste of money
amazing food, Best indian restaurant in Montreal, highly recommended.
Soooo good! Amazing flavours. Amazing atmosphere. This was our 2nd time and we will be back often for the shared platters and lamb!
Excellent food and exceptional service!! Highly recommended.
Very good typical Indian food, generous menu, great asset for the Dorval village Parking: easy parking in adjacent streets
Excellent south Asian cooking. Tasteful quiet dining. Great service. Well go back. Vegetarian options: They have them. Dietary restrictions: Exist.
Ordered take out; went outside to enjoy the weather and no one told me my order was ready.
The manager was so rude with us.We had a guests from Australia they were very shocked how the manager was talking. Staff was quick and food quantity was less as than expected. Spoiled our family get together. I would give 0 start if there is any option. Edit: You should not be in a business serving customers unless you are ready to take feedback without getting defensive . You can also see a pattern of other comments about your manager s behaviour.
I attended a party here last Sunday. Appetizers were awesome. Paneer was done differently, never eaten such paneer anywhere else. Shrimp curry and Dall makkhani were out of this world. Fish pakoda and aaloo tiki were disaster. Implacable service. Rajiv the owner is a terrific host!!
Third time there! Love the food, they make the dishes spicy for me. Fresh ingredients, restaurant is new , clean and modern. I highly recommend visiting the Sahibs in Dorval! You won t be disappointed Vegetarian options: Jalfrezi is delicious
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food but not especially flavourful or authentic... good nonetheless... a bit on the expensive side
Today I got very bad experience out of 3-4 servers just one was doing well. Other one were not giving the attention to us. Very bad thing was about throwing the bill receipt on the table, it messed my whole mood. That was the worst experience I got ever.
Fantastic restaurant! Fresh delicious food served by friendly professional staff. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. I highly recommend Sahib Dorval for a very enjoyable experience. Groups or couples and families - there s a nice bar to sit at also if you re alone and want to chill. They also have live music sometimes.
Great place to grab a bite.
Very pleasantly surprised for a first visit! The welcome was warm, the interior space is comfortable and the food is really very good! We will definitely return (by reserving the terrace).
Best chana somosa and excellent lamb curry.
Fell sick after eating here. Food seemed to be stale and unhygienic. Edit: The management of this restaurant seems to have a problem with honest reviews and constructive criticism. I do not have personal vendetta against this restaurant. I spent $130+ on a lunch which was subpar and made us sick. Am I not entitled to make others aware of this? Don t ask me to read your comments . This is my honest review and an opportunity for this restaurant to improve its service, unless it wants to bask in the glory of below mentioned comments .
Great service!
Very good service, nice atmosphere but very disappointed with the food. Very expensive for the quality of the food and I have tasted much better Indian dishes elsewhere..
Anyone landing or staying near YUL airport and craving EXCELLENT Indian food, Sahib is the place to go. Only 8 minutes from YUL airport. Had Dal Makni, Rice, Butter Nan and Dhai Puri.
Food to satisfy your soul. Delicious food, elegant ambiance and impeccable service!
The guy with the specs roaming around dont know how to behave.. he might be the owner but customer service should be the first priority. But the staff klara was gud
Amazing, addicted and can t wait to go back.
The food here is really amazing. Incredibly flavourful and good portions. The interior is attractive and there s a nice patio. All in all a great dining experience. One of the best Indian restaurants in the city.
Excellent service and several gluten-free options!!! I highly recommend.
Pop music for an Indian restaurant ??? Service delivered by rookie personel ! Excellent food though
Best indian food Dietary restrictions: There are gluten free dishes which fit for me Food : 5/5 |
Food preparation was quick, large portion for cheap. Staff is helpful and atmosphere is neat and spacious. Food
I love vindaloo and I love Sahibs vindaloo
We went last week for lunch, food was delicious
The biryani tasted like an inauthentic low spices recipe with the chicken not marinated and tasted so raw. very surprised compared to the atmosphere the food was not tasty unfortunately. i am a very big fan of the indienne cuisine but cant recommend this one .
Great chicken Chettinad, maybe the best chilli chicken in town, great bread, good location, good staff.
The food quantity was less which was not a big deal for us . Everything was okay until we did not tip them, the owner was extremely rude and racist inspite of being an indian himself . The tipping culture is getting out of hand !! These people need to realize the employer needs to pay his employees reasonable salaries instead of expecting clients to tip ! I will only tip when I like the service . Being respectful towards clients is the first rule of any business. Edit: Seeing the response, I have never mentioned anything about taxes, its the TIPPING I referred to . Naturally, I am a law-abiding taxpayer in Canada.
The buddy that I went to this restaurant with had picked it and I know sahib in the West Island but this one was in dorval. He told me the story why it was created cuz the West Island one was losing its lease so they got this place. Then the lease peoples decided to allow them to stay on. The best feature was some music playing in the background, though not in flavor of the food being Indian. I would have expected some sitar and lightweight Indian sounding music. Best feature? Four young charming waitresses that were almost flirting with us. Id say. Either that or were just very charming and they couldnt resist which I doubt very much. Hahaha the food was okay. The cheese dessert was so thick that it was heavyweight and and the parts of the other foods were actually heavyweight as well. Although the spicings were well done, I didnt expect for the food to fill so heavy and thick at least the various items. Overall the food was okay Id say maybe just under four out of five cuz the flavors were good and they turned the lights down. They dropped the electronic shades cuz the sun was burning my eyes and it became evening as we finished our supper. Id say for the meal it was overpriced. 90 bucks for one beer, a main course and a dessert? The charm of the waitresses made it palatable and the seasonings were good but having food. Thats high density cheese as a dessert. And sure I thought it was some thing like the guy stuffed a lot of ghee in it or something. It wasnt a refined meal and for that price and setting and delivery I thought it would be more refined. However, as overpriced as it was, I feel for what we got, the service was great. The music in the background okay and the way they set up the restaurant was quite reasonable. Back to the waitresses... they made the difference. Otherwise with the price and the heaviness of the food, I would give it a lower ranking. Thank goodness for the waitresses. .
Bad rating not because of food and staff, it was the owner/ manager of the restaurant his treatment with our family was so rude and unacceptable. They should put no kids allowed outside because he just not only talked rude to us but also didnt let us complete the meal. Restaurant wasnt even crowded at the time when he showed ruthless and pathetic behavior towards the little kids.
Great service and the food is delicious!
Great experience. visited here first time and it was really worth.
I am on visitor visa here and came here to see my students all over canada. I visited Calgary, Surrey, Vancouver, Abbotsford, mississauga, Toronto, hamilton and brampton, but the food I had at your restaurant was fantastic. I am surely gonna recommend my students to visit your restaurant and enjoy the taste. The indian girl served us so nicely. Thanks her for the hospitality that she showed us. God bless her. Must visit restaurant
We were greeted well on arrival. We were four people. Curled papads already on the table with a dipping sauce was a nice touch. We ordered all vegetarian dishes. Two entrées which were all very good. Three curries, the first three on the menu, plus some nice naan bread which seemed freshly baked. Unfortunately rice does not come with any of the curries when ordering vegetarian dishes. The rice we did order was quite a small dish, especially for four people. Seemed a bit cheap given the price of the curries. This was the only down side to the meal. We had no deserts, chai or coffee. All n all very good. Service was also very good. We will go back. Enjoy. Vegetarian options: Very good. Parking: Very good.
Curried Easter eggs, what a delight!
Cant wait to enjoy the terrace as well as the yummy food! Parking: Fine, if resto isnt full... Food : 5/5 |
Giving 1 star because of rude and toxic behaviour of manager/server. The manager/server(white shirt with beard) was extremely rude with us. He also kept staring at our kid. I saw older reviews with similar comments about this particular employee. Looks like either he is frustrated at this job or having some personal issues at home which is spilling out at customers. To the owner: Please conduct an evaluation of this employee and enroll him in a civic behavior course. The other employees were awesome. We also met Chef Saurabh who was friendly and welcoming. We loved the food but the experience with this employee have ruined the efforts of other employees.
Beautiful elegant restaurant, lovely owner, good service and the food is delicious! So happy to have found your new restaurant while looking on the map for a place for dinner with my dad, who is visiting us in Lachine. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I will return with my husband soon. Thank you! Vegetarian options: Balti bucket of veggies in a creamy almond cashew sauce. Mmmm.
Servers seemed somewhat inexperienced, errors in food delivery to table and billing.
The lamb madras was very tasty and the lamb was extremely tender. Parking: Not enough spots for the size of the restaurant. Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic food, generous portions, great service- worth the drive to Dorval.
First time at the new location and Sahib does not disappoint. The menu appears to be unchanged. King Cobra IPA was excellent. The salmon Tikka (my favourite) was exquisite, as was the butter chicken and the lentil soup. Still some of the best Indian food in the city.
Delicious food And good Service
Fantastic food! Having spent a lifetime of cooking and eating Indian food, studying it, travelling to India, and living in London for many years, where Indian restaurants are probably the most common place to dine out, I was delighted to find such an amazing restaurant right here in Dorval. Familiar but fresh flavours, authentic dishes on a varied menu which includes old favorites like Vindaloo, Madras and Jalfrezi, but also some bold chinese/India fusion options (very trendy in India right now). The food was truly excellent (try the dahi puri starter for an explosion of fresh, spicy flavor), served in a comfortable and lovely ambiance. Service was friendly and perhaps a little slow, but they were very busy, and the food was still fast to come out of the kitchen. They also have Cobra beer on tap! Which if you are nostalgic about Indian restaurants in the UK will be a draw card for you. Prices really quite reasonable. Cant recommend highly enough! Go there.
what is the price for buffet
OUTSTANDING! Hosted my hubby s birthday party here and am so happy. It was the right choice by far. Inviting and contemporary decor , attentive service, warm staff, lovely background music, and gorgeous serving ware. We were a group of twelve and seating was arranged so we could all see each other and converse. And the food! Fresh, flavourful and abundant. The recommended appetizers were excellent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their main choice. Hubby is a chef and was raving about good everything was. Exceeded my expectations which were already high. Well done!!
$150 for 4 people, no alcohol and I was still hungry
Vegetarian options: Oui Dietary restrictions: Oui bien affiché Parking: 7 places dans le stationnement et plusieurs sur la rue.
Vegetarian options: Eggplant Food
The quality of the food and ambience are amazing. The owner took the time to walk through dishes with me as I had a dietary restriction and his recommendation was 10/10. Also, their masala chai tea is absolutely delicious.
Love the new location in Dorval, dont have to travel too far for our favourite Indian food in the west island!
Amazing food, delightful ambiance, service excellent!!!
The food was delicious. Next time we ll be excited to let the staff help us choose more interesting dishes but all good and will return soon
There are good service and nice staff
Excellent service, food & atmosphere. Highly recommend the Chicken Tiki. We brought a toddler with us & the high chair was ready at the table with staff making sure we had an enjoyable time. Food : 5/5
Had an immersive experience mostly dueto great food. We had chicken changezi chilli and veg jalfrezi. Must try options The ambience was great too. Staff was super friendly Food
Good food, nice place and good service (French and English) Parking: Small parking lot in front of the restaurant otherwise on the street
Great food, cozy and not loud you can actually have a conversation. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian option as expected from an indian restaurant Parking: There is not too much parking during the day in Dorval. Parking lot to too bad. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs, most tables would accommodate a wheelchair
Do yourself a favor and reserve a table... An absolutely fantastic dinner.
I went to this restaurant for the first time today and it wont be the last. Very friendly welcome, I ask for the menu for an order to bring. I sat at a table to look at the menu, I started coughing, the young woman brought me a glass of water without me asking! And she asked me if I needed help with the menu. Then I ordered. I waited a few minutes and left for home. Chicken Tikka Masala, so good!! I loved it!! The well-balanced sauce, the tender chicken, the vegetables cooked to perfection! Delicious jasmine rice! With the nan bread, a taste orgasm!!! Succulent!! I loved everything about this restaurant, the warm welcome, the clean, inviting and well decorated place, the quality of the food, the taste flavors and the great experience!! Marie G. Lachine
Vegetarian options: Decent vegetarian options Parking: Enough parking spots Food : 5/5 |
Very nice discovery. Its cozy, its beautiful, theres good music as we enter, were asked to take off our coats...in short, its a pleasure to come in there! The kitchen is just perfect. We find everything we love about Indian cuisine, the delicious sauces, the little spicy kick that wakes us up, the tender meats...everything is fresh, beautiful, tasty. A delight! The waitresses and waiters are young, not all very experienced it seems, but all really nice and pleasant, very pleasant. We feel like kings! All this quality comes at a price...$43 for two people, the veggie combo!! In 2024, its just a feat. But what a joy to be able to eat so well, in such a beautiful place, for such a reasonable price! I paid $91 for my wife, our daughter and me, taxes and tip included, and I left with a smile and a box of leftovers! I would certainly have paid almost the same thing in a Mikes or a Boston Pizza to eat a cheap pizza with fries and a beer..!! I recommend it very sincerely. Gorgeous !
Great food, great service and very chic. Delicious unique cocktails as well.
Great place to wait 10 minutes to being seated even if the place is quiet, because the hostest need to joke around with she friends. This is is the place for you. If you rather not wait McDonalds is around the corner and ya do not ask for a bigger table the are for clients that do not show up
Great spicy Indian food and great atmosphere. Don t miss-out! I would go more often if I could! Vegetarian options: Tons of options for veggie lovers
We were a group of 7 and food was delicious and this is coming from someone who usually hates Indian food. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options
We had dinner here for my friends mothers birthday. The food was phenomenal. Great taste, some people have mentioned small portion sizes but I dont believe that to be true. I think the portions were fair for authentic indian food. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful and classy. The staff were polite and attentive. The only issue I had is that we had a reservation for 5pm and at 6:40pm the bill was brought to us with our deserts and coffees...We ordered many items, our bill amounted to a little over 300$ plus tip. (We were 6 adults and a baby). I dont feel its fair to ask that we free the table after only an hour and 40 minutes. We felt rushed through desserts and coffee in order to vacate the table. At the very least we should have been warned in advance that there was a time limit on our table as there are other restaurants in the west island that have such policies (Escondite for example). That is my only complaint. Otherwise, a great restaurant. We will likely return and give them another try. :)
Food was fast and fresh! Hot and ready! The live musician was a nice touch on valentines day Food
Cozy decor, friendly service, and the food was great. I like that you can see the chefs preparing the fresh naan by hand.
Very beautiful and good restaurant. The dishes were very tasty. Impeccable and courteous service. The young waiter tried to speak French even though it wasnt easy for him. Beautiful mark of respect that we dont see often enough in the west of the island. The only downside is its expensive.
Food was delicious Dish recommended by waiter was amazing! Vegetarian options: You can easily find multiple vegetarian options! Delicious food
Amazing!
Best Indian cuisine in Montreal !
Amazing food, fun atmosphere and delicious cocktails which is so rare at an Indian resto. Very nice place! Vegetarian options: Great options even vegan
This is a superb restaurant. Food was delicious. Service was very good. Waiters were polite and prompt. Menu full of great traditional Indian dishes. There is nothing more I could have asked for.
Went for lunch on the weekend. Was very quite but the restaurant is beautiful nice decoration and very clean. The food was amazing. Best butter chicken and great service. Will definitely be returning again soon.
Very good
Ive been going/ordering from Sahib Pointe Claire for years and we have recommended it to many friends who have also become regulars. I was excited that Sahib was opening close to home. Finally, after waiting too long, we picked up a supper from Sahib Dorval on a weeknight. I have not eaten in the dining room but it looks much nicer than pointe-claire + theres a terasse! My complaint is the portions are smaller than Pointe Claire, I heard the same feedback from a friend (who we referred to Pointe Claire originally). Hopefully the portions get bigger... but Ill definitely go back soon. Congratulations and goodluck on your new location!
The food was very delicious but the portion sizes are quite smaller than what we were expecting for the price. For example, the chicken curry is $20 on its own but came with 5-6 bite size pieces of chicken (rice or naan not included). The drinks had nice flavour but I don t think there was any alcohol in them, and for $12-14 each I thought they would have a little more kick. The flavours were very tasty though, it just left me wanting more.
Everything is perfect! My 4 ever favorite! Quite simply, tasty, tasty and more tasty!!! Vegetarian options: Menu for vegetarians. Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Well yes..
I was looking for a new place to dine at about a month ago and found this gem down on the lakeshore. The decor, vibe, ambiance, food(international Indian Chef), service, and of course the proprietor were a serendipitous event. So much so that the owner Rajiv asked me at to join his team. So reserve a table or better, belly up to the bar and enjoy the cuisine over a specialty cocktail I will prepare with heart or if you prefer, we can pour you a draft beer from our unique blend of thirst quenching imports. I promise you will enjoy immensely your visit whether with family, friends or by your self, we promise to take great care of you! Lloyd
Extremely salty - you will say that this is normal for Indian cuisine, but for me it spoils the pleasure. Otherwise, the flavors and freshness are there, the presentation is charming, the nans are homemade, the menu is varied. The portions were, however, less generous than I expected. On the corner of a quiet street, with a beautiful large terrace. The waiter was very attentive, and the owner or manager came by (quickly, not sure if it was really out of desire!) to ask if everything was okay. The alcohol seemed expensive to me, except for the excellent Indian beer in a pitcher which was reasonably priced ($27). 3 people, a pitcher of beer and a cocktail, the bill before tip exceeded $200. A good option if salt and money dont matter to you! Vegetarian options: Sautéed Okras Lenses Stewed spinach
The food was authentic Indian cuisine, not so common in Canada. The portion size could have been a bit better and the serving staff could have been more trained.
Everything is delicious: deep flavors, impeccable execution, truly a beautiful address; I m so happy to have it in the neighborhood! Five well-deserved stars!
Very good
Best Indian restaurant in the West Island. Modern decor, price reasonable The owner very friendly and attentive to your needs.
My first visit to Dorvals location, and we were impressed, Food is good as we used to in Point Claire, staff friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Menu végétarien existe. Dietary restrictions: Peanut free et halal. Parking: Stationnement devant le restaurant disponible. Kid-friendliness: Oui Wheelchair accessibility: Pas de marche.
Excellent Food and Service... The price is really good as well. Enjoyed every bit of food there.
Food was delicious, staff was welcoming and service was great Owner was very helpful , I would highly recommend this restaurant on your visit to Montreal Food
I have dined there twice so far and will be back again. I can t eat spicy food and they were able to accommodate me. Very friendly staff and owner and excellent food and portion sizes.
Sahib on St. John was one of my favorite restaurants but the new SAHIB in BC Dorval is a be step above.
Food was amazing! Staff was kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Great service, delicious food, the only issue is that the portions are a bit skimpy. If there was a bit more rice in the bowl, and a bit more meat on the plate this would be a 5 star rating.
Each dish was expertly and perfectly prepared. The meal was excellent. A sweet welcome was followed by a fun and caring service. Noise level was a bit above my comfort zone.
This restaurant is by far my favourite Indian restaurant in Canada. The flavours are just incredible and very similar to a top restaurant back in India. The ambience just adds a cherry on top. I will for sure be returning to try new dishes.
Great place to enjoy a south Asian dinner.
Staying near YUL this week and wanted to try Sahib for the first time. This is the BEST Indian food Ive ever had. Just picked up takeout and got the Channa Masala. Outstanding
Decided to try Sahibs new venue in Dorval. The decor is nice. The dinnerware colorful and the food is great like always. I wish them all the best and they have a nice terrasse for the summer.
Went to Sahib s dorval location for dinner tonight. What a great experience. The food was delicious. We ordered a bunch of dishes. The chutney chicken was amazing. The service and ambiance is great. One of the nicer Indian restaurants in montreal. Prices are a bit high but the food won t disappoint. Decor is fresh and light. The owner is on site welcoming guests and making sure everyone is enjoying their experience. I am Indian and i will attest the food is on par with top restaurants in India. I ll be back!
Amazing place! Cozy atmosphere, the food is really good, the service is perfect, prices are reasonable. I had a great time and I definitely recommend this restaurant!
A new restaurant. Very clean. Very good portions for the price. I highly suggest you try it. The flavor is amazing.
My new favorite Indian restaurant Dont miss it! Food
Very good restaurant we definitely coming back
Good place to dine in .
First time eating at Sahib in Dorval. What an amazing experience! The food was wonderful, service was super friendly and the ambience was great. Highly recommend!
Exceptional service and the Lamb Biryani is to die for. Highly recommended! Food
Amazing restaurant! The ambience is cozy, the service is friendly and quick and the food is exceptional. The owner even came to our table to ask how we were doing, if we liked the food and to light a small candle on the table. The dhaba chicken curry, chicken 65, onion bhajia and lamb were all tender and flavorful. The naan was also great. The drinks menu is quite long. The cocktails are delicious and not watered down, which is a rare find in restaurants in my opinion! A must try if you are in the area
I happened to be in the area and tried this location. Nice addition to the Dorval area. Great buttered chicken and honey balls. But I suggest if you are looking for a buffet go try their Pointe-Claire location.
Although my first impression of the owner /manger wasnt good, okay we didnt have reservations but only a few tables had reserved signs, he offered us the bar... which is literally a bar, not great for a nice meal for 2. So we said no thanks and decided to leave. Suddenly the waitress offered us a booth, prime location.. go figure! That was the only negative thing, manager needs personality. However every waiter and waitress were wonderful, efficient, personable and made our dining experience awesome. Obviously so did the food, rather expensive for what you got but delicious nonetheless. A wonderful night out in a cozy location. A great addition to the Dorval restaurant scene and I hope they do really well! Well definitely be back and for sure will order out, Naan bread sooooo good!
Birthday dinner was so special. They played my favourite song then played it s your birthday and sang happy birthday with dessert. Like in Pointe Claire the food was delicious and service on point. Recommend to all who love Indian food!
Vegetarian options: I got extra candy. Amazing!!!! Food
Vegetarian options: Love the various vegetarian options for appetizers and full plate.
Guy on the reception was rude
Went today for my moms birthday. The staff was so accommodating, the guy serving was great. The food was awesome, as usual. I would highly recommend this place. Also, they made a new bill to take off the birthday gulab jamun. Who, except a place that cares about their clientele and having return visits, does this? Smart people run this place, which is why it will do well.
Defenetly amazed by the quality. We were looking for a new place to try. And this place did not disappoint. We tried the samosa channa. You would not want to skip it for sure . For the meal we got Sahib Thali with butter chicken an also with lamb curry . Both were pretty amazing. We also tried Angeau Karhi Masala with Rice which was the best in my opinion. We were 5 I did not eat all the food but I tried all . Also the Toilet was very clean like spotless. Defenetly will go back
I had a vegetarian meal at Sahibs that was flavorful and tasted authentic. Every dish in the meal tasted the best. This restaurant serves great food with a good ambience and friendly staff. It is very close to Montreal Airport. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options
Extremely overpriced. For an all you can eat style restaurant, the servers try to avoid asking if you need more, and you have to almost beg to get more plates. Even when the plates come, they are tiny and not filling at all. There is also a creep that walks around and smiles at you with the freakiest fake smile. Be prepared to pay over 40$ per person and plus you are forced to give an 18% tip. You cant force anyone to pay tips, and in the Quebec Labour standards it is clearly stated that restaurants cannot force their clients to pay tips, let alone choose the percentage for them. This place is such a joke.
We made a reservation for 9:30 PM online, but upon arriving for dinner, we were initially told that the reservation couldnt be accommodated. However, after consulting with the chefs, they managed to seat us. We ordered the chicken 65 as an appetizer, but it differed from the version were accustomed to at another location. Despite requesting extra spiciness, the dish only contained red chilies, resulting in an unpleasant flavor. When we brought this up with the waiter, they mentioned being unable to assist as the chefs were unavailable. Lastly, upon settling the bill, we noticed the addition of an automatic tip/gratuity, which is typically at the discretion of the customer, not automatically applied by the waiter.
