We were passing thru and decided to stop in to an old favorite. Under new ownership since we last went it still is amazing (dare we say better). Served by Lino and team, great arancini, delicious wine and mains of provacanti and manicotti.... We were stuffed and so very satisfied. A perfect reminder of why we miss Montreal's food scene. Do try it, you won't be disappointed. Sorry to miss Savario, hopefully next time. Cheers team well done.
Service a bit slow and was very noisy this past Saturday but to be expected as it was a busy night. Have been to this restaurant 5 times in the past 10 weeks, so I guess we like it!!! Restaurant is accommodating to special requests(especially appreciated as my wife is celiac) and wait staff is super friendly.
It was my family and I, first time at this restaurant. The food was delicious. We split pizza and carbonara pasta and both were amazing. Sangria was tasty and service by Stephanie was top notch. She took care of us from the beginning to the end. We are definitely going back soon, and I will be asking for Stephanie to serve us.
Loved the apetizers but the chicken cacciatore and the pasta and the fried calamari had the same tomato sauce, the waitress could never told me if the sauce was home made or canned because the used it a lot, the lobster tasted weird like too fishy, fortunately didn't make my wife sick, the waiter forgot to serve my wife the salad ... a salad that he recomended! And he never came to apologized once we told about it to the other waitress, other than that for the appetizers i would go back.
I had the daily special which was fish when I went. I really enjoyed it, and it was prepared to perfection. That being said, one of the other people in my party found it a little too lemony. Of course his personal taste and did not reflect the quality of the food. They were kind enough to show us there which was not open yet as we were still a little too early in the spring. We intend to go back once they’re beautiful is open.
Outstanding food, well prepared and flavourful. From Apps, to Main, to Dessert - all on point. And when you look around the room, you see the people come here not just for the food, but the experience. It’s relaxed and wholesome. The service is very attentive .. full marks to our server, Lisa. She was engaging, and helpful with menu options. So take your time to enjoy Bellissimo, with great food, an extensive wine list, and comfy atmosphere. See you there.
Some of the the reviews here are ridiculous. When you go to Bellisimo you're leaving happy. It's impossible to have a bad overall experience. I was with a group of 18 people and my guests had 100% satisfaction. Special requests and table arrangements were taken care of immediately. A good sign was the flawlessly clean silverware wrapped in a cloth napkin, accompanied by crystal clear wine and water glasses. I didn't notice problems at other tables either and it was Friday with all tables at MAX capacity. There was an issue with one dish that was prepared for my table but was taken extremely seriously. It was a minor issue with cooking and preparation NOT a quality issue. Despite the pizza being slightly undercooked it was still better than most places anyways. As soon as Giovanni and Malik became aware of this they took the time to apologize and refused to let me pay for that item. They even went a step further and invited me to the bar and bought rounds of drinks for us. My brothers girlfriend passed by the bar and they invited her in as well. It was a party inside my guests party! This place treated me like family and was one of my best restaurant experiences. Of course a restaurant of this class had a well dressed gentleman providing live music. The ambience and decor is perfect as I expected. It's a historical building that adds to the experience. If you had an issue here and just mentioned it to the busboy as you left the restaurant that was unfair. There is no way the owner or manager let's anyone leave unhappy.
Our boss took us there for our Christmas luncheon. I had seen the establishment but never tried. The entrees of calamari and Italian sausage with peppers were delicious. All our dishes were not only eye pleasing but delicious as well. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and very professional. Thank you for such a wonderful and enjoyable meal. We all agreed we would go back again.
My main meal which was veal Marcela was not very good. Very bland taste. No flavour. However, everything else was good.
Slow service and the server made lots of mistakes. The atmosphere no music. Despite having mentioned my intolerance to garlic I received a dish which contained it as a result... sick for more than 24 hours...
Food was superb! The ravioli was excellent. The waitresses were very nice and made sure I had plenty of water.

We waited 30 minutes before someone came to take our order. And another 40 min before receiving boss entry. No alcohol-free option. And very salty for pasta dishes.
A lovely dinner on the terrace. Delicious food and excellent service from all the staff. Never felt rushed and enjoyed our evening. Will be back again!
We received a very warm welcome. We ordered a osso bucco me and my wife, the food was excellent. And I would like to congratulate our waitress Kassandra for her exceptional service, very smiley and dedicated to her work. We re definetly coming back.

Chefs kiss
I went there to lunch with business colleagues on March 26th, I ordered the Caesar salad and calamari. My colleagues ordered a pizza and pasta. My dish came fairly quick, while their dishes came 25 minutes after. I wouldnt have mentioned this except for the fact that the restaurant was not that busy at lunch. On the upside the calamari was well prepared and enjoyable. The main issue was that I had an unexpected indigestion followed by being sick by early evening followed by two additional days of indigestion. I can only attribute this to food contamination, most likely from the salad. Given the timing of our dishes that arrived and my food contamination incident I would have to conclude that the kitchen is poorly managed.

Bellissimo hosted my Grandson s Baptism yesterday (January 28, 2024). I can t say enough about what a hit it was. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was great and the staff, not enough words can describe them. Julian, Lisa and Saverio were the absolute best. They were accommodating, to say the least, and no matter what we needed, they were more than happy to oblige. There were over 60 people at this event and everyone was extremely impressed by the food and service they received. Thank you Bellissimo for making our event so special. Guaranteed we will continue to have functions at your place, there s no question. Anyone needing a place to hold an event, this place is it, hands down. Again, thank you for making our event so special and the hit that it was.

Bellissimo hosted my Baby Shower! I am so happy to have done it there. The service, professionalism and the proactively of the staff made this event smooth! Everyone was so impressed with the service and food! Huge shoutout to Stephanie and Lisa who really made this day memorable! Definitely recommend doing your events with them definitely hope to have another in the future!
We were a party of 18 celebrating a friends birthday. The service was attentive. We never needed to ask for more water or bread or to have the wine glasses topped up. The appetizer with tomato and bocconcini, prosciutto and melon, salami, and olives, was delicious. It was followed by a fresh green salad with a sweet balsamic vinaigrette. The main course, veal marsala, had tender, mouthwatering scaloppini of veal in a tart and sweet sauce, with potato and vegetables. The dinner was completed with a small piece of tiramisu and coffee. Because the service was so efficient and unobtrusive, we enjoyed our meals and could focus on our conversations with friends. Thats how a meal out with a group of friends should be. A fun evening complemented by a superb dining experience.

The food was amazing. Stopped here with my friend after a long walk and had the best arancini, calamari and cavatelli. The staff is so nice, friendly and accommodating. The outdoor terrasse is so beautiful and calming. Ordered a cappuccino and a creme brûlée. So good.
Nice place ! Beautiful terrace garden at the back. The service is very good, the aperitifs are well proportioned and very good and the food is fresh and delicious. Very good price. I recommend the place.

Had not been at this restaurant since pre-pandemic, i came in without reservation, they keep getting better. They make you feel very comfy and welcomed, like you re visiting an old friend s home.
Extremely salty dishes! Be aware that when you order pasta, you get an amount that would fit in child s palm. Very stingy compared to majority of Italian restaurants in West Island . Potatoes and veggies means 2 small potatoes cut in half and 1 tiny slice of zucchini. Awful quality and quantity for the price.

We have been to the classic Italian restaurants on Lakeshore many times over the years but, for some unknown reason, never had the chance to visit Bellissimo. This is a real classic neighborhood eatery that is clearly popular with the locals (and has been around a long time to prove it). Clearly it was refurbished, with a nice clear décor that is neither over the top or cheesy. The menu is a classic Italian as they come (Linguine Vongole, Chicken Parma, Fried Calamari, Aranchini, and the like. For our meal we shared a classic Caesar Salad (ok but surprisingly not very tasty), Piccaatta al Limone (excellent...veal was super thin and tender and I like the lemon sauce with noticeable amounts of butter and garlic), Veal Marsala (also excellent with a flavorful mushroom sauce) and a Tiramisu for dessert (very good, extra amounts of chocolate but a bit more moist at the base than we are accustomed). Service was hopping as the place was busy but everyone paid attention to us. Call out to Stephanie for helping us enjoy our meal that much more. Enjoy!

Very nice discovery! The food is good, delicious, small portion for my taste. However the prices are a little expensive, for 1 person it cost me $74 (a plate of 3 manicotti, a soup, a dessert and a glass of alcohol.)
2nd floor perfect for groups (entrance, toilets and separate cloakroom) The food is ok, nothing more. The service is good.

One of our favorite all-time restaurants. In this COVID-19 era, prices have been raised but are still affordable. The staff is always friendly. The food was very tasty and the wine variety is still very good.

Our wedding reception took place at this lovely location. For a private reception or a romantic dinner, it s a perfect place. Friendly, dedicated and accommodating staff. Not to mention the food which is really tasty and delicious. Big favorite.

Service was so-so. A lot of wine/water glasses were left empty for quite some time. The food was average. I had the veal and it was little bland. There wasnt much flavor and the potatoes were a little too hard for my likings. It was also very hot on the second floor and they did not turn the air conditioner on so we had to open the windows.

By far the worst representation of italian food. Sauce is very salty and acidic. Manicotti fiorentina were hard and loaded with mozzarella instead of bechamel. We were very disappointed. Absolutely not authentic.

First time dinning here. Nice small selection of wine. Friendly staff, might by a bit of a wait for service but thats because everywheres understaffed. Really good dinner, escargot was excellent and my filet mignon penne pasta was phenomenal. Hailey served us mainly though it was a team effort. Definitely going to come back hoping the 2nd visit is as amazing as the 1st impressions. Thank you Hailey for recommending me that amazing ice cream WOW!!!

The service was fine but the food was bland. The sauces on the veal Marsala and the lemon veal were a bit off in flavour and texture.

I would give it more like 2-3 stars but I feel bad because the service was good and very kind. It s also in a cute area. The food wasn t bad, it just wasn t great, nothing to write home about. The pasta dishes my table got were alright, and the recommended wine was good, but the calamari was a little fishy and the lemon veal a little bland.
220803 Excellent cuisine and one of the two most beautiful terraces in the West Island. Prosciutto and melon, veal limone, tiramisu, with a glass of chianti. In the shade on the terrace, near the small stone fountain like in a small Italian village. Reasonable prices and sumptuous quantities.

This is the place to go in the West Island. Its my second visit, 1st time with my friends on the terass then inside with my husband. What a treat to have Aldo sing, also served by Averly. Will definitely come back, amazing food, service and entertainment.

The ambiance was very good and the food was tasty at a reasonable price. The only take away was one of the young busboys took my plate while I was having my pizza... Overall I had a good time and will go there again! Parking: Its not too hard to find parking in the area. Not like downtown or saint Laurent street... Like a zoo...

Bellissimo is usually a very good restaurant, but last nights experience was not good at all. I ordered for pickup. Food was hot is the only good thing about my meal. I ordered the lasagna. My partner had it last week when she went out with friends and brought back left overs. I tasted it, it was so good that I wanted it for myself so I ordered it last night. It was so salty I couldnt eat it. Tasted as of they dropped the salt shaker in it. I want able to have more than 3 bites and I had to throw the rest out. At 23$ a plate for that very small portion, its an expensive meal to give the trash can!!! Not sure I will be ordering from there again! On the up side, my partner says her manicotti was good! Update 2022-10-21: I guess the owners either dont know they have reviews here or they dont care cause I havent heard from them about this review!

First time at this restaurant. We were seated in the terrace/garden which was perfect but in our case, waiting time was over 1.5 hours for the food! After our drink order, we only received bread after asking for it 1.5 hours after sitting down. The waiter was apologetic and polite. The food was very good but due to the wait and delays to be served, we are hesitant to try this place again. The manager never came out to see us once but to be honest, we never asked for him. It was very busy and due to pandemic reasons, they must be short staffed. Good luck!

I took my girlfriend to lunch for her birthday. I ordered an arugula salad with pear. The salad was delicious but almost at the end I discovered a hair on one of the slices of pear. I pointed it out to the waiter, Carlos. His question and you just found this at the end . I was shocked and insulted with his question?. That was not the response I expected. Not an apology, let alone a discount or anything. I have a choice where I dine and it won t be at this restaurant again. The customer service was horrible.
Very good food, for a restaurant of this size, the noise of the music is disturbing. You have to shout to talk to each other . Im thinking for example of Mr. Laprises restaurant, Im sure that the music, if there is any, is very gentle! Please, wouldn t it be to your advantage if it was more discreet!
