Restaurant Dorval is a comfy family restaurant, run by the same owners since 1992. We are proud of our friendly and loyal staff, and are always involved with the community. Monday night is Seniors' night. 7 items for $7.50+tax. Tuesday night we have chicken wings on special. Wednesday night we have sizzling fajitas. Sunday night, eat for free after 4pm for children up to 12 years old (1 child per adult). Specials available 7 days per week, include 2 meals for $25 (4 items to choose from). Great day and night specials are also available.

I would like to start off with how Amazing the staff was. The mozzarella sticks are a great way to start your meal. I had a bacon cheese burger it was fine I would try something diffrent next time. Very nice bar area.
The service was good but the fries were super greasy. Other than that the food was good they seem to have good specials on every day of the week.

Ordered the smoked meat and ribs combo ($24) and the breaded mushroom ($6) and pineapple juice ($2.5). The ribs were good to the bone, very tender, well seasoned and full of flavor. The smoked meat was great too and the service was first class. I'll be heading there soon enough.
One of my favorite places to go out to eat at. I believe it was the owner who greeted us at the door and he was incredibly polite and very welcoming. He even thanked us for being there coming into the restaurant and once we were leaving. The waitress was also extremely polite and pleasant to talk to. She took our order without marking anything down which at first worried me because we were 4 but when the food came we each had everything we ordered correct. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to everyone....even the prices for the quality and quantity were great!
I found this restaurant on Groupon. It didn't look like much of a place from the outside, but inside it's a spacious, clean restaurant. They have a huge menu with all of the classic entrees at very good prices. I definitely recommend.
Interesting Lee enough this restaurant is not only a stall word of the brunch crowd but gained incredible reputation because Mattel actually sue them for using the name supposedly of their famous doll called the Barbie doll. So they did go to court with Mattel and the restaurant eventually won - absolutely amazing! Meanwhile it's a great place in the middle of residential West Island Montreal in a small mini mall with outside only access to the few stores. The opening looks rather small and then it opens up into a huge place that's beautiful adorns in older class year furnishings and a great team that works in the old classier ways of a hard-working crew who truly take care of the customers. The Food Fair is a great offering of well made standard choices that makes you feel special rather than anything standard at all. It definitely feels like everything is just a little bit better than the everyday standard items that they represent. With quality ingredients excellently prepared, and service on a professional level that is rarely seen in any brunch place, the experience of going to Barbies restaurant is one that is not easily forgotten and a standard who's bar is raised passed all those larger franchise brunch places. Barbie's restaurant has nothing extraordinary, except for their service their quality of food and the whole Ambience and experience of Excellence! This is definitely a five star restaurant and experience.

been going there at least four times a week for breakfast and LUNCH ...Everybody from the owners to the waitresses and waiters to the busing staff are hugely pleasant and attentive ...and usually really busy great care is taken playing the food ...GO FOR THE SOUP ..STAY FOR THE MEAL

Went there due to proximity. The pricing on the lunch special was decent. However the food was ordinary and the service was slow especially that we were there after the lunch rush. This place used to be called barbies and in the past it was very good. Not so much anymore.
Have been coming here often for many years, breakfast, lunch or supper. Daily home made soups are excellent. All food delicious, rarely has something disappointed me or all who have accompanied me. Best fries in the area! PLEASE OPEN AGAIN!!!! (with no changes)

The best breakfast in Montreal, period. This is a hidden gem, in the calm suburbs, if the weather is good you can enjoy the porch. Zero to light traffic on the road, no noise the most exclusive bar, and a very gentle and humble owner.
Last time I gave a 5 star review,things have changed since then.The portion of the ribs is now about half the size the tuna sandwich was literally a can of tuna cut in half ,placed on dry toasted bread with a piece of iceberg lettuce,the B.L.T. was a few over cooked nuggets of bacon on top of a slice of tomato too bad there are no photos. My friend told me about the same problem with the smoked meat.Seriously it is not that tough to make a sandwich.Plus it took over 25 minutes to make the two sandwiches when there were only about fifteen people in there who were already eating

Great lunch specials
This was one of the worst dinning experiences. I went there with my boyfriend & his mother, who took us to dinner; she also had coupons. The wait was long and our waitress was rude - plain & simple. My order of Ravioli was given to another table and the manager, George, came over with a Lasagna and suggested that I take it and he would make it up to me. I was hungry and it looked good. The lasagna had spaghetti noodles, large pieces of pepperoni, slices of green and yellow peppers......basically, it looked like left over pasta and pizza topping baked in a dish covered in melted cheese. It was gross. My boyfriends mother had to remind the waitress that something was suppose to be done for the food mix up. After a time she came back with a small piece of cheesecake with 3 folks........really!?!? My boyfriend took a forkful of cheesecake but noticed that there was a film of sorts on the cake. After closer inspection, it was parchment paper that was not removed from the top of the cake before that strawberry topping. When we told our unpleasant waitress, she said.....and I quote well, it s not dirty . When I pointed out that you can not eat parchment paper, she just looked at us and repeated the same thing before leaving to serve another table. To top it all off, the coupon was not applied properly, nor was there any attempt at any time to apologize for the inconvenience or mistakes. Shame on the manager, George, for not taking responsibility out of the gates with the first mistake or even bothering at any point during our meal to come over to ask if all was ok. I will NEVER set foot in this place again and anyone else should think twice before going here.

Liked it. The smoked meat was good but asked for no mustard and was served with mustard so I ended up not eating about 2 of the 8oz... the wings were in special but nothing worth writing home about. At least they have free popcorn... i would go back.

Went specifically to have the advertised monthly special only to be told by server, You cant. He went on to say that it should have been taken down. Left me with the menu rather than suggest something similar (which I would find in the menu.) Not sure why a monthly special would not be available mid month? A dispointing visit.
This place used to be good and now it sucks. The owners have been trying to sell the place for years without success, I wonder why.
The only reason this is getting one star is because the food was good, and everyone apart from one person was friendly. Ive heard from multiple people who have been there they had the same experience. The older waiter, kind of big, with dark hair greased back is a complete jerk. Rude, confrontational, adds in his own tips before handing the machine over, and now when I was standing (completely out of the way) against the bar waiting for the waitress to return with the machine to pay, he hit me in the back either with his shoulder or elbow. It had to be on purpose, because there was no one behind or around me, and no tables close enough to merit anyone being that close to me. I turned because my immediate reaction is to say Im so sorry but he just glared at me while continuing to walk away. Hands down the worst server Ive ever seen, or had the misfortune to deal with. He must know the owners personally or something, otherwise I have no idea how he still has a job.

Enjoyed a plate of ribs and some wings for an appetizer. Ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the wings were small but tasted good. Ask for their specials, they have lots of choices.

This is a good place for the casual food on the menu, and the waiter at our table was exceptional and attentive. The menu had a huge variety; so huge, I feel that everything the kitchen was expected to fire out was just okay. They sell filet mignon with seafood for a low price, sandwiches, wings and ribs, and everything in between. I had the filet of course; it was undercooked, the seafood was bland and greasy. The Caesar salad was good. I think if the kitchen manager revised the menu and had a clearer vision on the direction of the restaurant, this place could do well!! Again, amazing waitstaff.
For breakfast its excellent but ate dinner yesterday evening and we was quite noticeable that there stock was several days old and the food was tasteless pickle was hanging by a thread coleslaw was about the only thing that was half decent the rest of it literally it was not worth the money
Didnt give popcorn or water. Give me wrong order, yet I had to paid the price. Ordered cakes.($$) 4got them. busboy was cleaning the table you think they had the courtesy to let me know I forgot them. cheers to the next person that orders cake.

Everything had a very good taste. Chicken wings with medium sauce was delicious. Side Salad had the stem ends of the lettuce in it. Not serious just not perfect.
