Stayed at the hotel across the road. Followed advice in reviews to cross the street to La Semaphore. Angus burger was very tasty! Salad side was quite generous and shared with my husband. His fries were tasty too. Service was excellent. Prices were typical of hotel restaurants.
September 2, 2024 - Breakfast Le Quebecois cost $26.00 - small serving of fresh fruit, 2 eggs any style, bacon, sausages, home fries and toast. Myself and 2 other guests ordered the same meal "Le Quebecois" and were very disappointed. The eggs were perfect however everything else was terrible. Meats were of poor quality; bacon appeared to be the cheap pre-cooked bacon very thin and resembled the pre-cooked microwave bacon. The sausages were nothing special, at best edible. Home fries were far from being home fries, they served us deep fried wedge fries, not what I expected to be served for breakfast when paying $26.00. The toast were cut in half giving the impression that they had been processed for serving however they had not been buttered. By the time I realized the cut toast had no butter on them they were cold and there was no way that little side of butter was going to melt on my toast. This restaurant is located inside the Double tree by Hilton. The hotel was nice and at the price of the meals in the restaurant attached to this hotel I was expecting a good meal, we were very disappointed. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant, save your money and call an Uber, there are plenty of other restaurants to chose from in Montreal.
We were on holiday for nearly two weeks and had a chance to eat at many places. The food for dinner at Le Semaphore was outstanding, as well as the presentation. Hughes gave us excellent advice on what to eat and the wines to be paired with the dishes.
Quick burger. Nice spicy sauce on a great burger with some well seasoned fries. Service was awesome - it was an early dinner so the woman working the bar took care of me. She was great. I actually walked over from the hotel across the street due to the reviews. Pleasantly surprised. One of the tables near me got the ribs. They looked and smelled really good. I might try them on my return.
We had read about the restaurant turnover at the Hilton Garden Inn Airport so were unsure what to expect for the last meal of our vacation. Our expectations were low and we were blown away by the quality! Excellent chicken with rice and salad with wine. As usual, we shared the meal to keep costs down, but found it was plenty of food for two.
Amazing food and service. We came 9:05pm and still got served for food. Much appreciated! Duck entree is no more on the menu but the ribs and poutine taste really good!🙏
Awesome food. Really great dinner, my fish and chips were awesome, as was the duck my brother had. It really was a dining experience, not to be missed. Stuff was helpful, service was quick. When compared to other restaurants in the price range, easily one of the best I've came across. If I had the possibility to give more than 5 stars I easily would, well deserved.
Solo business traveler staying at the Double Tree for 4 nights. Ate at the restaurant 3 of the 4 nights because it was fantastic. Being a hotel restaurant some of the menu items were not available at the time of order which was frustrating, but everything I did order was excellent!! The servers and bartender (manager) were extremely pleasant and provided great service. The Cornwall chicken was my favorite dish. Juicy chicken breast with skin cooked to perfection. The pistachio desert was the best! Will definitely return to this hotel and restaurant if working in the area again.
Arrogant staff. I think the place has its name because you have to do semaphore to be served at all. They seem to think they are a high class establishment but the menu and the standard of service are mediocre. I left because being able to order before closing time seemed an impossibility. Shame on Doubletree. Your restaurants in other places are so much better.

The Double Tree restaurant was a pleasant surprise, the cocktails and plates are prepared with the greatest attention and Émilie offered us superb service, what a great way to start your vacation before taking the plane to YUL! Thank God

Very good value for money
We had the chance to go to dinner this Sunday evening, September 8, at Restaurant Le Sémaphore during our stop at the DoubleTree hotel. Before we got up early to be at the airport early, we decided to sleep at the hotel to be less tired. On the recommendation of a friend, I chose the DoubleTree because it is next to the airport, you can leave your car there during your stay abroad, and there is a drop-off service. free shuttle to the airport and also because there is a restaurant. Having traveled the road to get to Montreal, the idea of having to go further to go to dinner repelled me and so it was a plus in favor of the hotel. Speaking of the restaurant. It was a pleasant surprise. Really. Our trip is off to a strong start!!! Exemplary service from Émelie, really good food, super well presented. So well presented that it was a shame to destroy these works of art. We really ate well and had fun at the Semaphore. Without any hesitation I will return there.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. I always stay at the same hotel when coming to work to Montreal and they never disappoint. Best chicken I ve ever had. Other items on the menu are wonderful as well. The plates presentation are a work of art!! Delish!
Wow!! I wasnt expecting that, it was so good! I highly recommend!! Didn t expect something like that, that was delicious!!
Still waiting for food. The waitress informed us that there was 1 chef and we would be waiting an hour to an hour and a half . It s 2 hours and 15 mins and we are still waiting for food. With countless it s on its way , it s still not here. If considering to come here, ask if there is more than 1 chef absolutely ridiculous. If I didn t order, I would have left long long LONG AGO. Update- 2 hours and 20 mins later, food shows up. Took 3 hours from when we walked in to walked out will not be coming back here ever again.
I ordered a shrimp nachos and a Blody in the room and it was sublime! Big portion and big fresh shrimp
Sat at the bar and had nachos with smoked meat. It was huge. Very good. Staff super friendly and attentive
A very pleasant discovery, we ate at the bar where the bartenders were very friendly. My onion soupe was amazing and the smoke meat poutine was even better. I am telling you guys its not just a poutine. My buddy had the burger and found it to be excellent. A definite be back for sure.

It s a good restaurant with good food. I give 4 stars because it s not exceptional. My 5 stars go only to places which surprised me. This place delivered solid performance but it s not Michael Jordan or Tina Turner level.
Nachos serving very generous
Waited nearly 10 minutes to be seated, 10 more to get a menu and water. The food was overpriced but tasted okay. If the service, prices, and wait times were adjusted I d give it 3 stars.
Seemed like a nice spot for dinner. Wait to get seated was pretty long. After being seated, it was easy to tell they were understaffed. Because of this, everything took a lot longer than it should have. Food was average, knowing you generally pay more at a hotel restaurant.

Ate here because it was conveniently located in the hotel. The place is definitely under staffed and over priced. $80 dinner for 1 with no alcohol . Steak with French fries and a small salad! Insane.

The service was OK. The coffee tasted burnt and cold. The fruit salad wasn t fresh. The pineapple was actually rotten. The breakfast was a bit below average. I could ve whipped up some thing finer and nicer at home. When you re paying $19 a plate for breakfast, I m expecting something a bit more fabulous. I hear the dinner is good though.
Second day in a row ordering the same Spanish Omelette . It s so good that I had to have it twice, and the people at the restaurant are really nice, I was able to even practice my french lol
First opening night on the weekend of the year. Despite the lack of staff in the kitchen and dining room, the servers remained calm and efficient and the quality of the cuisine remained up to standard.
Breakfast was awesome. Especially the eggs benedict in the breakfast buffet.
The bar has a relaxed and chic atmosphere without pretension! Kind, friendly and smiling barmaid. She made me a good bloody Caesar. I havent tried the restaurant but Ill share their menu with you, which I believe looks very interesting. There werent many people when I passed.
Wonderful experience. Sevice excellent, waitress charming, and food up to snuff. Salmon tartar and duck entree were well worth the cost. Bar is a bit limited but should suit most needs. Fair tea selection as well.

Salmon burger with the squid ink bun was on point. The beet salad my wife had was good too. Service was five star and us English only folk felt right at home. If you are staying at the Hilton Double Tree it s a good choice and steps from the room.
Had a quick lunch at the resto-bar. We tasted the tuna tataki and the salmon tartar and both were excellent! Great menu, healthy and fresh. They had a vegan sandwich as well. I will be back, cant wait to try the restaurant with the full menu.
