Is delicious!

We sat outside as it was so nice this morning. Breakfast was great, service was perfect, value was great.

Perfect for brunch, we recommand their buttermilk pancakes they are amazing !

The best pancake ive eaten so far, waitresses were so kind !

Really unique place good food and service

We went in around 1130 ish on May 11th. We had a stroller with a party of 5. Both waitresses introduced themselves but said there would be no room for the stroller. I get it. It s big but least we could do what we usually do is sit it outside for a solution then considering it a problem. The waitress was rude enough to call my SON a girl. Idc if it was a mistake but she just smiled as we corrected it. And the customer was offering their booth but the waitress said no it s okay like as if we did not want to sit down. Don t get me wrong. The foods great.we always tend to find it rude. Or is it because we re native ? Idk but poor service. We left to go eat elsewhere.

Love this Cafe. Been enjoying their taste food for quite literally decades ! Stopped in for lunch recently-- did NOT disappoint- delish as ever. John and Micki continue to provide wonderful food with a diverse menu to the regulars and new guests alike.

I have great service and even better food every time I stop by.

Has been a trusted old time cafe in our town for many years the Chinese special every day is so good and a huge amount of food so be prepared to take home the leftovers!! The waitresses are always wonderful and very good at their jobs - excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner - highly recommend!!

Ive been going here for 11 years. I go there a lot, but not as often as I would like. Its a great little place and the folks that run it are super nice. Breakfast is good, crab cake benedict is my favourite, and the lunch specials are delicious. Good coffee too. Parking: Theres spots all around. Kid-friendliness: I take my 4 year old for breakfast with his great grandparents before school some times. He loves it.

This place makes the best Chinese food in the region by a significant margin. It s always very fresh and high quality which is why almost every person I saw at the restaurant was ordering the same Chinese combo. Quality: 5/5 Superb. Easily the best in town. Pork has a light crisp to it so you know it s not reheated. Everything tastes fresh. Very balanced flavours. Speed: 4/5 15min wait but that s reasonable given the quality. Value: 4/5 The portion sizes are decent for an $18 combo. About average for this region. Atmosphere: 3/5 A bit awkward. Very small inside and no front counter so you walk in and start hunting for a table. It feels cramped. Things are very compact due to the layout. Finding parking this area can be difficult; street parking only. It was a very cold day outside and it was a bit chilly inside.

Staff wouldnt allow my 30 week pregnant wife to use the washroom, despite her obvious discomfort. Thankfully Kahuna over the road were far more thoughtful and accommodating! Avoid!

Hadnt been here in years. Lots of old pictures to reminisce over. Food was good and friendly service.

Like to make a reply due to the pregnant lady who needed the bathroom it not About her getting her way yes paying customers only it does help keep wondering people and unemployed wonderers away but it s human decency to allow exceptions once in a while she is pregnant that is just simply selfish and ur very unprofessional to make the reply u did you do not care about common courtesy just every penny u take in that will catch up to you. if it was a person taking advantage of the situation and repeating the scenario yes ask them to buy something you guys have also done that to a person I know who is 65 years old and has a Medical condition and simply your bathroom was the First one she could get to never grabbed her purse or anything just jumped out of the car as it was a emergency and she desperately needed a bathroom and u refused to help her ,65 years old like wow that is absolutely disgusting. It is not about getting anyones way ,that is simply just cold hearted and selfish and shows no empathy to humans. She was in tears and needed help ,shame on you I will also never use your establishment due to these multiple issues you should be giving an apology on your review sight to make things right to both ladies also sure they are not the only ones treated poorly.

I ve been going to this cafe for over 30 years with the same family owners. Fast courteous service, great cafe food at a reasonable price, I rarely come by Duncan anymore but this is always one of the highlights of my stop here!

Great place to go for some breakfast and coffee. Its a beautiful place in the heart of Duncan. The service was excellent, and the prices were good. They serve your traditional breakfast fare, including shredded hashbrowns, which are a rare commodity these days. Definitely would go again.

On a chilly Sunday, there I was with cabin fever looking for a place to have fries and gravy while doing some homework. Everything downtown seemed closed! Then I came across a lit OPEN sign. Parked steps away. I opened the door and a hello! and a welcoming smile greeted me. I enjoyed friendly service and a fresh basket of fries with divine gravy. Delish! I ordered a pretty slice of mincemeat pie to take home for my son. I ll be back :)) Clean place, too.

We had a coupon book that had a buy one entree, get one free, at this cafe. We told the waitress we had a coupon she told us they pulled them from the book and would not honor it. Will not be back.

A hidden Duncan gem- hands down one of the best resteraunts on the island. This authentic family owned resteraunts has it all. Starting with the food: absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing and affordable too. We especially enjoyed the Chinese lunch special, and the eggs benny with homemade hash browns. I also loved their espresso- yummy Italian beans. The service is phenomenal. The waitresses Selena, Yumi and the owners+ chef are incredibly friendly. They really make you feel at home, and are very nice to chat with. The interior design is super unique. The bright colored walls with historical pictures plastered over the wall give it a a fun a boisterous 80s vibe. ( instagrammable) The model airplanes sets the family friendly tone. Overall, this resteraunt is a Duncan staple. If you are looking for a resteraunt in Duncan, stop looking! This is the place!

Great food from one of those authentic little mom and pop shops. Its cool how John has his whole family in there to help out sometimes, love going in there.

Shredded hash browns arent my favorite and didnt mention it was shredded, menu can be updated if there is another option. One peice of toast wasnt sliced in half like the other one was. There extra of bacon and sausage is over priced just for 3 of one kind. They had absolutely no honey for coffee. Not that i had a coffee. I felt like the plate i got was for like chinese food or something. Dont plan on going back.

We just had lunch at the Corner House......... Best Chinese lunch special ever !!!!! The staff are so nice, its just such a pleasure to have this treasure in our town.

Poor value for money spent, prices out of line with this type of restaurant, and, we were presented with what amounted to left overs. Lunch was not what we expected. In fact the Chinese style Chow-Mein with sweet and sour pork and spring roll proved inedible. The pork portion was ok, the noodles had obviously been reheated several times, were rubbery and stuck together. The spring roll was filled not with greenery, but with the pulp that greenery becomes when its been frozen and thawed several times. It had the consistency of toothpaste. They sell a $20 hamburger here. The average meal price now tops 15 dollars. The want 2.60 for a cup of coffee and 60 cents per refill after. If you order the $20 burger, have coffee and decide to eat a dessert as well, you can easily blow 35 to 40 dollars on lunch with taxes and tip, this in a place that has model airplanes dangling from the ceiling as decor and has not seen any sort of updating in more than 20 years. For 35 dollars you can have lunch at the Vine in Cowichan Bay or at the Genoa Bay Cafe. That $35 also spends rather nicely at One More Sushi, The Duncan Garage, or the Woodland Chinese restaurant. $35 spent at any of those establishments will leave you feeling overfed. Yes, its relatively clean and tidy. Yes the service is friendly. (Our server was rather incurious as to why plates full of food went back to the kitchen, indicative of the sort of professional but unconcerned friendliness youll find.) So, one sad and sorry little star for an establishment we used to frequent once a month, but have been away from for a rather long while. We had intended to go to Woodland for our Chinese style meal, but they were closed. Our fault then, for making a rather stupid second choice. Very disappointing.

A small family-run restaurant, quaint and adorable setting and environment in Duncan downtown which provides small town atmosphere. This restaurant serves a Reuben sandwich that is absolutely the best in the world. There is not another restaurant in this city which produces a reuben sandwich as good as the one made here at this restaurant. My wife enjoys coming here for the Chinese special meal.

My wife and I have had breakfast here on two occasions now. Both times we had great service, great food and great prices

The espresso was made from a little cartridge style machine, not a proper espresso maker. It tastes like it as well. Very good service.
