Great place to gather with friends for a casual, fun games night. It is also a perfect alternative to meeting at a standard pub. They have a good selection of games and a menu with yummy food options and tasty drinks. I recommend pizza and a margarita!
The Fort is a great place to hang out and play different games, they host lots of fun events. I have had many fantastic experiences thanks to Keely. She always greets us with a smile as soon as we arrive and makes sure we feel welcome to explore or ask about the games they offer. Throughout our visits, she has always been attentive, offering helpful recommendations for food and games, and she always ensures that we have everything we need. Her friendly, approachable attitude makes going out that much more enjoyable. I always appreciate the outstanding service and will continue to go back.
This is the best place to hang out and entertainment friends in Duncan. They have an extensive library of games and host numerous weekly events. As a volunteer who runs a weekly event, I have found the management to be very engaging helpful. Keely especially shines with her engagement and willingness to show up in unexpected ways
Great place to go as a couple or with the family. The games are great and the selection is huge. Also nice to be able to try some new games you’ve never heard of or try one out if you are considering buying. Highly recommend.
The Fort is an amazing asset to the local community as a place for people of all ages to hang out and have fun all year long. Their wide selection of games allows everyone in the family to have fun and the staff are so friendly!
We decided to look for a boardgame cafe during a roadtrip and were SO happy to find Fort Game Cafe! Dave made us feel welcome right from the start and recommended some great games. Amazing drinks too, including coffee from a local Victoria-based roaster. We only intended on staying for a couple of hours but we had such a good time that we ended up staying double that. Thanks again!
Bizarre place. Seems like a great family place to play some board games but we zipped in to grab a couple of quick cold drinks on a hot day. We ordered two banana smoothies for $16.... and waited .... and waited... there never was more than 10 people in the place and the guy behind the bar was often not appearing to be doing anything? Finally after 20 minutes we asked why it was taking so long for two drinks - thinking they'd forgot, only to be told they had no bananas and had sent someone on an errand to buy some. We asked what flavors they did have and were told blueberry so we asked for blueberry. Two minutes later two ~1.5cup blueberry and oat milk smoothies were presented to us. Really? $16 for two very small smoothies consisting of mixing oat milk with blueberries. It was somewhat laughable of the drinks simplicity and our time wasted here where staff didn't recognize that people may not want to spend 25 minutes waiting for drinks. Honestly, tell people if you're out of something and allow them to change their order don't wait for them to approach you exasperated.
Games cafe plus! Also a nice menu of pizza and fried foods; ciders, beers, and juarritos; baked goods and candy and coffees. And video game stations down and upstairs! And of course full wall of games to play—many marked for those that are good for 2-player. The hostess was attentive and friendly! Lots of room. I hope they’re a success!
I hang out at the fort every weekend with my friends. The girl at the front is always so kind and helpful, she really makes the space a place I want to keep returning to! Keep up the great work Fort!

I go here at least twice a week to play board games, and always have a great time. 10/10 would recommend.

Terrible service from the young man working. My friend ordered the hummus panini but it had no hummus. Our drinks and other food came out sporadically so much that my friend offered me half of her sandwich. Good thing we weren t in a hurry. The big tables and all the games to try is a great idea though and I would come back for a coffee or a drink.

This place is unique. Fun for everyone, open and bright, great selection weve gone there since day 1 of the original owners..too bad from the get go the server today decided to drop energy, tude was annoying,.that subtle enough passive negativity in a zone thats its bristly..compare that to a pleasant server thats happy youre spending 75 bucks to be there and not challenging you..we r there to have a good!! time. Otherwise the place is perfect.

I was very disappointed with my visit. I did not feel welcome the guy that was working had a bad attitude and seemed like he didnt want to be there. I would like to visit again on days he is not working.

Great spot, went there for a date, we had some coffee and enjoyed the space for a very long time. Service was exceptional. Lots of games, good music and great chia lattes.

They could use a few more options for snacks. I understand why the menu is limited but maybe a few a more simple items. Got tater tots they were ok. Wasnt my favorite seasoning. The pita and hummous was really good though. A great place for family time.
Really great spot, popped in with my son. Played some games and he had an awesome mango milkshake which he loved. Staff was pleasant and chatty and I saw them even explaining the rules of games to other customers to get them going quickly. Great experience, we will be back.

Absolutely loved this place! We visited from out of town - sad we wont be back for another year! Kid-friendliness: My 6 year old loved this place! Young kids might be bored there - so bring toys then!

Been to The Fort several times now, its always a blast! Perfect place to go chill and play some board games and video games. I got a really good smoothie (banana mango I think it was) last time I was there, and Ive been dreaming about it ever since Oh also really love their pesto pizza!

We booked a cottage at Duncan and it was raining heavily and are were pretty bored. Got to know about The Fort Videogame & Boardgame cafe at Duncan through Trip Advisor. I would highly recommend this place where you can check out thier video games, board games and Virtual Reality Gaming collections. Emily was very friendly and made us an amazing Smoothie to drink. Do check it out
Great place for a date night young or old. Nice smiple family menu if youre hungry or just want a snack... The only thing that was unfortunate which was in no way the establishments fault was a homeless man kept coming in a flirting up the owner / hostess and making her and us very uncomfortable. Thankfully a gentleman came and escorted him out but I was close to doing it myself... Root beer float, slam dunk milkshake, Obi Wan pierogies and yam fries were all delicious, reasonably priced and great portion sizes. We plan to go back for future date nights!

So glad we found this place, very affordable entertainment for families. My teen loved the selection of video game consoles and they have probably every board game you can think of. The vegetarian menu items were super tasty as well. We will be back often!

Coolest place on earth! Has amazing food, great prices and loads of game choices. Florida man has to be one of my favourite games from there! Perfect way to spend your evening. Great place to hang out! Video games, board games, VR, and snacks all available. They also let you bring your own takeout food in. If I were a kid I would spend every day here. As an adult.. I still want to spend every day here! Very fun place for all ages, and the owner is kind and knowledgeable about all the games there.

The Fort is such a cool spot to check out while visiting Duncan! Emily has so many games but what really makes it amazing is the warm and welcoming space she s created there. They ve recently moved to a new location in town and upped their snack game. Such a quality business worth supporting!
I had Emily with The Fort help us with a large work event (around 130 people) and she did a tremendous job. She brought a ton of games for people to play at their tables, as well as assisted the guests with recommendations and how to play the games. Emily also helped with ordering games for us to be raffled off throughout the night. Thanks for making it a great event and I would highly recommend Emily and The Fort!

This place is a great addition to Downtown Duncan. I loved the decor and the pita chips. The collection of games is always growing, and Emily is fantastic at helping you find the right game to play. The Fort is a great place to hang out with friends in the evening.
