Heard about this hidden gem from a friend. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Had the beef vindaloo, perfect amount of meat to sauce ratio. Meat was so tender and the dish itself was very flavorful. Pleasant and helpful staff:) will definitely recommend and dine here again.
My whole family enjoys coming to Aastha Devotional for great-tasting, healthy Indian meals. Chef and server are very friendly, atmosphere is casual and pleasant. They have dairy-free options for entrees. They are also always accomodating and even willing to do substitutions. We have become loyal customers!
Amazing is the word when our friends ask us about our visit to Aastha! We ordered veg combo and it was perfect meal, a special mention to kheer(dessert) which was splendid. Ambience was cozy and staff was very welcoming. Highly recommended if you are looking for good food, Ambience and hospitality.
We stopped for lunch on the way from Victoria to Nanaimo. We had the veg pakora and the cauliflower and samosa for starters, and Malai chicken Tikka and chicken Tikka masala for main course. Everything was delicious. Service was very efficient as we came in late at 4 PM and the place was empty.
Holy smokes, the best Vindaloo curry I have ever had. All the other dishes we ordered, such as Fish Tikka and Mulligatawny soup, were also outstanding. Great service as well. It is a great find that we would happily come back to
The food was so good... that we were in Duncan Two and a half days and ate here twice! The butter chicken literally warms the soul, and the Naan... whooh, the Naan...I can't say enough about the Naan. The Naan is magical. The decor is basic and the lighting is dim... but you're not their for either... I honestly would have licked the plate clean but my wife would have been angry. Do yourself a favor and place an order!
We were very hungry and ordered Kadhai Paneer, Daal Makhani, Garlic Naans and Aaloo Paranthas (that was not on the menu). We were met by a charming and incredibly welcoming owner/host who made every effort to fulfil our off-menu demand. The food was excellent and the service was very personal. We ate at our hearts content and paid our compliments to the Chef Nautiyal. I highly recommend this restaurant to all lovers of Indian food.
Impressed by the array and selection of Vegan, vegetarian and omnivore friendly food. Something on the menu to please everyone. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend to others. The only improvement I could suggest is compostable containers. As it was we reused ours. - now they have compostable containers:) yay!
Excellent food and services!
Another great meal at Aastha. The food was incredibly delicious and Service was friendly even though it was very busy!
Food is delish. If you go for the fully spicy you will sweat in your seat.
The menu specifies that Korma is made with a cashew base. After I bought it and opened it, it looked and smelled like cows milk. When I enquired to make sure so that I wouldn t get sick, the waiter was rude and told me there was dairy in all the dishes I had bought that I can t assume that was ingredients on the menu would be correct . Be wary!! Sad, I was so hungry and it smelled so good. I can never eat there as there is no way of knowing what is in the food.
Delicious food, exceptional friendly service.
Best in town! Fast, friendly, & consistently excellent food! Vegetarian options: Excellent selection for vegetarians. Food : 5/5 |
Tried it first time and it was a good one Highly recommended Food
Truly amazing food. So good! Best I have had on the island by far. Try the Tandoori Boneless Chicken! Food : 5/5 |
Wonderful food. Would definitely order from here again
A good place and amazing food ! Prices are really decent for the quantity. The waitress was so kind Food : 5/5
Indian restaurant very generous portions, very tasty food.
Great food fast service. Smaller place. Price not bad at all. Not the easiest parking. I came here 4 + years ago and it was horrible glad to see it s changed for the best. Would recommend
Butter naan was awesome. Nice environment with fresh food in small town. Food
Excellent. The food was great, the service was fast and friendly. Near the library, so lots of parking close by. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options.
Went here today. Excellent food. Generous portions of naan. Loved the prawns in a mango curry sauce. Many thanks to the chef and hostess!
Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The flavors were authentic and vibrant, making every dish a delight. The kadhai Panner was creamy and perfectly spiced, while the naan was soft and fresh. Excellent service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Delicious and authentic Indian cuisine! The dal makhani and chicken tikka masala were standout dishes. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended for a great dining experience.
Great taste and cost friendly Vegetarian options: Yes Parking: Yes
Cold food a d overpriced for what you get
We went to this restaurant twice and the dishes were delicious. The combo formulas are generous and I highly recommend them! The team is very friendly and helpful. We will come back!
Excellent butter chicken and the freshest naan
Amazing butter chicken with a special on Mondays. Don t miss it oo
We tried fish pakora, goat curry and chicken korma combo. Everything tasted amazing! One of the very best Indian restaurants in Canada in my experience and I usually dont eat out Indian because its usually oily or with too many spices. Indian dishes are not just gravy with all spices and kudos to the chef, he made everything perfectly, tender pieces and delicious curries. Last but not the least ,the server lady was very nice and friendly and was careing to catered for each of our needs. I would come back if I have more time!
All time restaurant
The food is wonderful
We recently moved from South Surrey on the mainland to Maple Bay and we know and love our Indian cuisine. This is hands down the best quality and flavour of various indian spices that we have had. This restaurant has the best bang for the buck and will leave you wanting to try more of their dishes. Their samosas are to die for and taste authentic. We are going back for our third take out in the paste 2 weeks. Thank you for a job well done Aastha Devotional Indian Restaurant!
The food here is amazing! Its the best Indian food Ive ever had and Ive tried lots. Parking: Parking lot at opposite end of building from the restaurant but only steps to door, and easy in/out street parking.
Great Location In Duncan BC near Nanaimo Where you Can eat BEST FOOD. The owner (Vinod) is a Best Person. I met lots of Restaurant owners but VINOD have different thinking from them. He is dealing clients as his family he is not running behind MONEY because he is a spiritual person and wanna give Client value of their money with BEST FOOD. We eat all chicken varieties and vegetarian varieties because we were in a Group of People and all Have best in taste. Conclusion is if you ever going to visit Duncan than Please visit this Please this will definitely gives you Value.
Authentic. Peas are fresh and added to the dishes at the last moment. Delicious!
Recently I visited Aastha Devotional Indian Restaurant with my family and friends. I would highly recommend it to everyone. The owner of the restaurant Vinod and Simran both are very humble and kind hearted persons. They are extremely proactive to ensure authentuc experience. At this place you will find an amazing combination of ambience and service. Very warm and hardworking staff. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, variety of Indian cuisine. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again. Staff was actually so helpful and kind. Overall, Aastha Devotional Indian Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience with flavorful and well-prepared dishes. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in some delicious Indian cuisine! I would revisit this amazing place again. Five stars ten out of ten. Already lots of my friends have bookmarked this place as a must stop.
One of the best Indian restaurant in Victoria , Canada. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit and have the pure indian flavours of the food. Its at the prime location with all varieties of indian food with enchanting tastes of india. I really loved it
Food was great. The food quality was high. It was spicy and variety was awesome. We tried both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. It felt like food heaven. Chicken and manchurian was delicious. We ate so many appetizers that we had to take a small break before main course. Word is spread, my friends will be stopping there. I will review again and will take some pictures also.
Visited with family and felt satisfied with food. 10/10 will visit again. Willing to travel 100 KM to get this taste. Owner and cook were humble, provided an honest siggestion and invited is again.
Just fantastic food!!
Had an opportunity to visit Duncan during my recent Vancouver islands visit. And was quite surprised by the taste of the food at Aastha. Did not expect such good Indian food at Duncan. Must try if you re around.
Wanted to take my parents in law out for some East Indian food and stumbled upon this place on Google. Was definitely happy to see such a high rating so my partner checked out their menu and showed how versatile it was. Absolutely loved how everything looked. Showed up yesterday to a small but lovely family owned restaurant. The decor was a bit dated but it definitely gave off comfy cozy family style restaurant. The kitchen was pretty big with some great equipment inside. We sat at a booth in the empty restaurant, although it was roughly 2pm and most likely part of the mid day lull most restaurants experience during the day. I would definitely like to see it attracting more foot traffic because its absolutely worth it! We ordered our drinks first. Nothing too fancy, just some pop cans and water which is always a safe bet! When we were looking over the food everything sounded so incredible. Our waitress was very helpful in providing information on our dietary restrictions and made reccomendations that were spot on! We ordered the batter fried cauliflower with garlic sauce. Holy Moly that was incredible. Even the batter was light and fluffy inside and crispy outside, had to make a comment to our waitress about that. Fantastic and delicious. On to our entrées, I had the vindaloo chicken curry with a dairy free Naan, MIL had the same but in a combo, so she had her drink, Naan, curry, rice, salad, AND a rice pudding afterwards all for around 22 dollars! Was blown away by the portions and price point. FIL had the butter chicken and enjoyed it but would have really loved a burger or something like that. Everything was absolutely delicious with a lovely cooked from home feel. Was definitely one of the best eating experiences Ive had in duncan and cant wait to take my partner there very soon and try an assortment of different food items! If you love Indian food, this is the go to spot in the area! The only thing that would make this better is just a few more options for people to enjoy typical canadian food when theyre out with family or friends getting their amazing east Indian cuisine experience. And who knows? They can always add in an Indian twist and create something everyone can enjoy! 10/10 for their food for me. Absolutely loved it and ate every last bite on my plate! Please please please go to this restaurant, it does not disappoint! Dietary restrictions: They provide vegetarian dishes, gluten free, and dairy free!
Owner run family business proudly cooking authentic Indian food for the lucky residents of Duncan. Vast menu with large vegetarian section as well as meat dishes. Big portions, super flavourful food prepared with loving devotion. Also famous for their freshly made naan bread. We got one of their lamb combo plates incl Chai tea and rice pudding all in. Good value. Will def return and bring friends next time to order a la carte. Highly recc.
Absolutely love their food, but after getting some takeout, i found myself chewing on a staple ... Sorry to say but it couldnt have ended up there when I opened the bag, as all the food boxes were closed. Cant say I wont be nervous if I ever order food there again. Maybe stop using staples? Just a suggestion. They really dont do much for us customers anyway.
Have ordered online for pickup from Aastha Devotional Indian Restaurant a few times. The food is okay but nothing special Some of the sauces are very similar between dishes and taste like they came out of a jar you can buy at the grocery store. The service is another matter. They repeatedly got the order wrong - especially the Naan bread. Wed order without butter, it would be buttered. We ordered a $6.50 coconut Naan and we got some other kind. The last and final time we went we ordered two plain Naan without butter and we only got one Naan (but were charged for two). They stiffed us, either deliberately or accidentally. We called back when we got home and found out and the lady refused to refund our credit card the cost of the Naan over the phone. She told us to come right back and she would make another one. We live in Chemainus so we were not driving back at night in the winter. Just bad service and treated us like we did something wrong by calling about being overcharged. In the end, we never got compensated for being short-changed on our order and it was the last straw. What kind of restaurant refuses to do right by their mistake and loses a customer over a $5 flat bread? This one.
Good food and ambience. Would love to visit again.
Staff are so friendly, I ordered Mango curry chicken. It was so good! Highly recommended
Best naan Ive had in a while.
My favorite restaurant in Duncan! Delicious food, kind staff, and good prices. Definitely recommend!
Food is really nice and service is good.
The food was absolutely amazing. Service was amazing Friendly hard working staff. . I will be back!
Pretty dissappointed with the chicken biryani. Basically a heaping plate of rice with maybe 4 bite sized pieces of chicken. I kept trying to eat more to be considerate, but the rice was dry and didnt have much flavour.. also didnt look or taste fresh. The naan felt undercooked and doughy as well. Overall sad experience, Ive had some of their more saucy dishes (masala, curry) and found those to be more enjoyable. But the naan still seems to be consistently undercooked Oh well
I think we were here on an off night. Server was great! Food was frozen in the center and the curry lacked flavor. Reading the reviews I was surprised by the poor taste. Vegetarian options: There were many!
Ordered food for 20 people the quantity was good enough and food was extremely delicious made by chef Pradeep & Shankar..they were extremely kind and humble..I would definitely recommend their food for big parties!
Amazing food..so glad to have found this place in middle of nowhere..we were craving some authentic dal makhani and ate here with hearts content
It was a pleasant surprise to find such a nice Indian restuarant in Duncan of all places. Being an Indian, living in Surrey, I generally avoid eating Indian food when I come to the Island. However this time my buddies were craving Indian food, so we decided to give this place a try. Safe to say, this food can put most of the Surrey restaurants to shame! The food was fresh, homely and the staff were friendly. I recommend the goat curry which was really tender and well cooked. The prices were very reasonable too. If you are passing through Duncan, please give this place a try!
Just had lunch here! My first time and it was delicious. I ate too much and now need a nap lol! So very good!!
Excellent food, Love it!!!
Hands down the best Indian food I ve had on Vancouver island so far. Fresh amazing flavour. Quick service. Loved our experience here thank you!
Best Indian restaurant ever ! I have tried many. I recommend the califlower ghobi garlic and the naan is the best. Vegetarian options: Amazing gobhi garlic califlower
Dinner was so good , delivery driver was super friendly and lovely . So impressed with the amount of gf and dairy free options . I called another restraunt locally to confirm there as said online dishes were gf and was told no they now use flour not chickpea flour as traditional . So could have had a really bad gluten poisoning if I did not confirm . Super happy with the amount of gf options , flavour was outstanding Vegetarian options: Tons of traditional vegetarian dishes packed with flavour Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free and dairy free , vegan options . Super accommodating place and amazing flavours .
We had takeout. Food was great! They forgot our Naan, but oh well
Pleasent, prompt, tastey, reasonable price, Thank You
I visited this restaurant last week with my friends. We did takeout order. It was our first visit and the place was recommended by someone. I heard lot about this place so I just went to chekout. First thing that i want to mention is that no one is humble at this place especially the server was quite arrogant. Talking about the food the naan was undercooked. Only thing I like is the shahi paneer and its flavour. Overall I found my trip worthless.
So delish and really lovely service!
Best restaurant food Ive had in a long time.
Was absolutely awesome as per usual. Their butter chicken never fails to make me happy. Not to mention the waitress that night ( Sim ) was extremely nice. Great service overall
Great place , great service. Very friendly and polite. We tried the combo, and it was great, tasteful and appealing. Definitely coming back. Thank you. Vegetarian options: Good tasting.
Ive tried all three Indian restaurants in Duncan several times, and Aastha Devotional is the best and most consistent. The food is always fresh and delicious! The Monday Butter Chicken special is a great bargain! The take out portions are generous too. I usually order two main dishes, one veg and one meat, plus an appetizer and Naan. Plain rice is included with the main dishes too! Its always between $40 and $50, and my spouse and I get TWO meals out of it. Great value!
Dined in and enjoyed goat biryani, dal makhani with naan and lassi. The food was delicious, and hospitality was great. This place is a gem! Looking forward to visiting again, thanks for a lovely evening.
We almost always get takeout here. The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and we always end up stuffed for at least three meals.
Delicious! good service too. I ll be going back!
We were really craving for some tasty Indian food and found this place. The paneer tikka masala and daal makhani was really amazing. The complimentary rice was a surprise for us as we dont get that in Toronto.
Wow what a busy little place. Food was delicious! Server was extremely attentive! Will definitely be back when we visit the island again.
Delicious everything so far has been fresh & flavourful - fast friendly service- as mentioned wheel chair accessible -good parking - enjoy it every time
We just happened on this adorable little restaurant and its the best in town. I know my Indian food, and this little hidden gem is it for us. The food is spot on and obviously someone there really knows how to make you want more. They service is the best. There is a lot of care and time put into accommodating the customers. Well be back again and again. Vegetarian options: It seemed they several choices. Parking: Parking lot Kid-friendliness: We brought my little 11/2 year old grandson. They had a high chair. And then they donated over him. We lived their kindless. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs that I remember.
The food was delicious!
Authentic cuisine with a large vegetarian / vegan selection. Good service too. Its become a favored place to go.
Yummy and Big Servings My friends and I decided to try out Aastha and we are amazed. Foods tastes good, buttered chicken is amazing and so as vegetable and beef samosa, calamari and pakoras. Food is quick and server Sim is nice and friendly, she gives lots of choices, making sure we enjoyed our foods. We will definitely come back! Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians
Our hopes and expectations for an Indian restaurant in Duncan were low, we would have been happy with a good tasting meal that resembled Indian food. What we got was one of the best Indian meals we have had in the last 20 years. The food was amazing with a definite twist from the traditional N. Americanized version. From the cardamom in the mango lassi through the ginger strips in the goat Saag, this food was authentic and different. The various types of Naan were all so delicious and fresh. This food was as deliciousas we make at home, and have had in India. Kudos for the twists to tradition and huge thanks for the extremely pleasant surprise!
This is the best tasting food that I ve had from an Indian restaurant on the island! Huge selection on their menu and very delicious. All at a reasonable price! Highly recommend.
Delicious food with great service in a simple, yet welcoming atmosphere. We found the combos to be great value. Our go to before shows at Cowichan Performing Arts Center across the street. Vegetarian options: Lots of interesting ways to eat plant-based. Parking: Hundreds of spots within a two block radius.
What an amazing find. The love and experience can be tasted in these flavourful dishes. We had Lamb Saag (spinach curry), Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Naan and Pea Palauo. Cooked to perfection - textures & spices that leave your tastebuds satisfied. Finished off our meal with a perfect cup of chai. Will be back with the kids as they have an awesome looking kids menu. Number One Indian restaurant on Vancouver island in my humble opinion. Vegetarian options: Tons to choose from! Parking: Good spots around Kid-friendliness: Butter chicken poutine and chicken strips with Masala Fries bring on the kids
Great service and great food. Will definitely be back :)
Love the food and have had friendly service consistently. Thank you :) Vegetarian options: The Malai Kofta is a go to for me. Good vegetarian options for a small town. Food : 5/5 |
The best indian in town
Best place to get this type of food on the island! Butter chicken is especially amazing! Appetizers are always delicious too. The lady at the front counter runs her butt off and goes above and beyond for her customers. Great little gem in Duncan! Vegetarian options: My parents are vegetarian and love all the vegetarian options!
My daughter-in-law, grandson and I had Mothers Day dinner this evening. What a lovely meal and such personable service. Will be back soon.
Favorite Indian restaurant in Duncan. Delicious and great portions!
Quality Indian food near downtown Duncan.
The food was amazing ...
We got takeout from here. In my opinion the food at this restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation of being the best Indian food in Cowichan Valley. The staff is pleasant and friendly and the restaurant is inviting. Im happy to recommend them.
Great food and great service. Highly recommend
I really enjoyed my dinner from here tonight. It was my first visit and they helped with recommendations of both food and flavors. The portion sizes were great and my dinner was great! Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible.
Hit the spot
First time having some authentic food and it was delicious. Cant wait to try more of the menu. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that wasnt some delicious food
Nice restaurant and great food..location is awesome and professional staff.
Loved food as usual, great service
Great place for Indian food, very tasty cuisine with friendly and helpful staff.
Aastha has the best indian food I have ever had! The flavours are so complex and the food is always consistently excellent. They go the extra mile and add extra ingredients like nuts, cilantro, and special sauces. The chefs work very hard. I always have leftovers for the next day as the food is so filling and great value. The food here is top tier and I highly recommend Aastha. The staff is kind and efficient. 10/10!!
Best Indian Food in town and affordable price. A must stop for anyone who enjoys good food and friendly service. I highly recommend! My mouth is now watering just writing this review!
Great quality, quantity and variety of North Indian style food with kind service. We recently moved to Duncan from a city with awesome Indo-Canadian community and restaurants - we were very thankful and impressed to find this gem. Their lamb briyani is our favourite ever. My adventurous 2 year old can eat the medium spice level but prefers mild and you don t need a towel for hot :) Kids welcomed. We eat in regularly and take out sometimes. Just heard about the lunch special and will have to try it -
Very good Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka Masala!
We were in a hurry to finish lunch when we came in, so we didnt expect much initially on the food and its quality. We were blown away by the fresh and hot Dal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer. Moreover, the Chai was the best wed had over any Indian restaurant in the Seattle area (where were from). The lady who took our order was very sweet (she was the chefs wife if I remember correctly) and came to chat with us. Overall, it was a really memorable experience for us and would definitely visit if we visit Duncan again. Vegetarian options: Dal makhani, Chai, Garlic Naan and Kadhai Paneer were excellent
Quick food service. The veggies pakoras were amazing and the chutneys were delicious. Vegetarian options: Pakoras
Consistent all around. Naan bread is on point. I keep going back.
The best Indian food I ve had in a while! Very complex flavours and so many tasty vegetarian options. I almost always get at least a few meat dishes but didn t even feel the need with all the awesome veggies dishes. The vegetable Biryani was especially good!
This little place was a big surprise. Best Indian food weve had in BC, and we have eaten in many famous places in Surrey. Will be back soon!
Best i ln town hands down
Best and tastiest authentic Indian food in the Cowichan Valley, excellent service, amazing food, Naan breads to die for, look no further there is no competition in the valley, hope this saves you time in looking for something better as it does not exist. Dine In, Take Out, good prices, fast service, lovely humans, quiet easy access up James Street just moments from the busy highway thoroughfare. My favourite dish is the Lamb Korma, Garlic Naan and a sweet cardamom Mango Lassi : )
Just ordered the shahi paneer and garlic Naan for lunch - YUM!!!! So flavorful, and huge portion. Staff were very friendly. First time ordering from here and wont be my last
Overall very good fresh Indian food loved by the whole family. Pompadoms, naan, fish pakoras, butter chicken, alu gobi, red lentil daal are all favourites of ours. Weve tried several other dishes too and all have been good.
Delicious food and great service.
Amazing food! Their butter chicken is best in town.
I love the lunch special.
We have had take-out for a few times and have not been disappointed!!! The flavours in the food are deeply dynamic as Indian culture. The overtones of spices brings me back to my time spent deployed on the Indian Ocean. I have worked all around the world many times over and can appreciate authenticity in cultural foods when represented on Canadian soil. You can pick your spice hotness level with confidence which shows their compassion and commitment to newcomers and traditionalists alike. Cheers
Awesome food!
Staying in Duncan working for the week and I am tired so I ordered off of door dash. The food came quick and hot. I have had lots of Indian food growing up in Surrey. I had the butter chicken and garlic spinach paneer naan. The flavours are delicious and the bread is super fresh and savoury. I chose hot and it wasn t overly spicy but just right. Good job!
Genuinely Tasty and Good Food.
Fantastic food ! Terrific selection and decent prices. Staff are lovely and welcoming. I would highly recommend checking this place out.
Love the butter chicken, awesome Naan!
Everything I ve tried has been so delicious! Highly recommend! My only comment is that it would be great if they switched to biodegradable take out containers :)
The best Indian food in the area! The veggie samosas are hot and golden crisp on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside...not heavy or greasy at all. The curries are rich and delicious and customizable in terms of heat and the naan is perfectly charred and chewy. Glad we found this place. Will be back!
Best ever place in Duncan for Indian food served in good portion and at reasonable price.
I was visit there last week.food is very yummy taste was very nice drinks also indian style I like that place.
The most delicious, flavourful, well priced Indian food in Duncan. I would highly recommend Aastha Devotional Indian Restaurant.
This place is AMAZING ! The food is incredible I recommend this to anyone who loves curry. They have exceptional customer service BEST curry in town !!!!!
Excellent food and service to match!
Great price with how much serving you can get! And we loved our food, so delicious!
Being from the mainland I have had the opportunity to experience some wonderful East Indian cuisine both homemade and at very nice establishments. Aasta blew away my expections. The food was amazing the staff was courteous and the prices were great. The place is packed so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it s well worth it.
Good food and people
Delicious food. Good service. Reasonable prices
This is my second time visiting aastha. I am happy for the both time I spend here .less waiting time.best customer service. delicious food. When I get here I usually have Tandoor roti and chana masala ,its really tasty
We were looking for some good Indian food after long day and this place was simply amazing, the food, presentation and potions were all amazing, with every gravy they serve bowl of rice too, and the combo was good enough for 2 people....the most amazing was the host, she is very welcoming and a great host....will come back...
We took a take-out from Aastha. The food was delicious and authentic Indian food. Quantity was good and filling. The lady at the counter was helpful and suggested options that we enjoyed. Will come back surely.
A small, casual space next to a high school with a lovingly served and prepared, ethnic food experience. The name means Faith, which we can all use more of in our lives and I definitely need more of this flavor rich and soul satisfying warm, cooked to perfection goodness! Better than any Indian food in Victoria, and extremely busy w take out all the time I was there. I enjoyed eating in.
Very inviting ambience and hospitable waitress. I ordered Paneer Kofta which was made perfect for the spice level requested. Butter Naan was good as well. Highly recommend
Very tasty food, large portions. I recommend visiting this establishment
Dined in last night, very accommodating and friendly. The food was so delicious and had so much flavor even for mild. Will be back as often as I can! We had the Malai Kofta(comes with rice) garlic naan & somosas! Very affordable with adequate portions for sharing.
Good food
This cute place on Islands in Duncan serves delicious Indian food with so much love. Ms. Gagan was so polite and serving us food with love. They have really good variety of food. Even buffet is so reasonable and tasty. Highly recommended.
Great food! We got the combos and it was a lot of bang for your buck. I would highly recommend.
Was so surprised at how good the curries were. They have that homemade touch. Highly recommended.
Just tried this restaurant, the food is amazing, so flavorful! Portions are generous., will be eating here again
The best Indian buffet in Duncan as it s my second time here in less than a week.
Nice buffet. Friendly staff
Absolutely delicious place to eat
Absolutely love the food, my favorite butter chicken around. Although ordered the butter chicken Monday online and was quoted 11.99 price and when I picked it up I was told that it was a Monday only special price and I had to pay the standard full price. I thought butter chicken Monday was a specific name for your product not a Monday special price, its not very clear.
Very Delicious food, Very Kind staff and great service
Welcoming people. Tasty food. Reasonable rates for great quantity. Great staff and happy to be here. Parking: Parking available just next to the restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly location
The place is small and cozy, wheelchair accessible. The service is kind and all they wanna do is feed you delicious food. Try their vegetable curry, its amazing. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian curry. Vegan options too like garlic roasted cauliflower Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level and open tables. Some door sills.
My absolute favourite butter chicken!! Great portion sizes and the owner and his staff are amazing!
Fantastic indian food, friendly staff and good service!
Good food Friendly staff Currently a good deal on butter chicken on Mondays (dont quote me on that in the future as it may have changed, its a current thing in 2022-check their site) They have online ordering for pickup through their website, which is what we do most of the time. Really convenient.
We re so lucky to have this place in Duncan. They are very knowledgeable about what is vegan on the menu and there are many options. Everything tasted amazing and love the mango lemonade.
Food quality is nice, we order tikki chaat and malai kofta and garlic naan. Main course come along with basmati rice by default. Customer service was pretty good. Unfortunately didn t got chance to take photos.
As part of our stop in Duncan, I was craving Indian food. Well done and great variety in their menu. Online ordering was straight forward, however; our garlic naan bread was left out of our order (hence the rating). Will definitely come again!
Amazing food, a frequent place for us! Super nice staff!
Excellent service and the food was incredible! The restaurant was full and our server was very busy but she was very attentive and brought things out as quickly as she could. She even brought out a couple extra sides for us for a very slight wait. Great quality and great prices. Will go again!
Excellent food and service
Good food
This was our second time at Aastha We loved the meal, and the service was good too.
Incredible food, wonderful service. This place is incredible. Give it a try!
Wonderful food, nicely spiced, and adjustable heat. I have been there several times, each time pleasure. The Mango curry is particular favorite! Great staff too!
This might be the best Indian cuisine Ive ever had, so happy we happened to stop in! Veggie vindaloo was phenomenal.
We ve been to Aastha a few times, the food is delicious the spice level is pretty consistent but every now and then a little hotter than what we asked for and the service in great. One little thing though. Being in the business, having to hear a staff member constantly yell at another across the bar is extremely disruptive and annoying to listen to while you try and enjoy a nice dinner. Especially in a restaurant that size just a little unprofessional other than that, again great food our server was amazing definitely knows how to run the floor and attentive too! We ll definitely be coming back!
Restaurant interior designing is immaculate (shoutout to the phat elephant). The korma was astronomically fantastic and the paani tasted fresh. Service was amazing and the endless rice was great, especially for Spencer.
I must admit that the food was delicious. Better than most of the mainland restaurants. Nice preparation. The staff was accommodating. The inside was clean. Outside was not that much impressive but dont judge the book from the cover.
Delicious food and amazing staff! Love this place
Didnt even deserve a single star. I am completely disappointed with food they serve. I choose to eat at their place due to their good reviews. I hope they get better at serving fresh food.
I went with my family after reading some good reviews but my experience was ruined after eating their food. They didn t used fresh dough to make tandori roti as it tasted like rotten one. It was a wastage of money.
My 12 year old said its pretty good compared to other places
Absolutely delicious food - and easy to order Gluten Free for my celiac husband. Do yourself a favor and try the Gobhi Garlic appetizer... it was AMAZING. The only reason I am giving four-stars instead of 5 is due to the wait time at pickup (after ordering 5 hours in advance) and also that we were missing a few things from our order (and had extra of other things).
Wow! First time here and the food was spectacular! Service was awesome as well. We will be regulars going forward.
Great food, super friendly service. Great value. Our new favorite Indian restaurant in Duncan.
Best Indian food Ive ever had. Highly recommended
Yummy butter chicken...
Best Indian food I have tasted. Curry spices perfect. THE BEST GARLIC NAAN baked in a traditional Tandoori oven.
Great Indian food. Loved the samosa chaat and the Malai Kofta. Definitely try when in Duncan
Delicious food. Best Indian food around. Check it out!
The portions are very generous. Palak Paneer was good, but the sauce on the Mali Kafka was quite bland. Not knowing the spice level, we ordered mild. Would definitely have been better to order medium. Service was also slow.
tasty food, good prices. butter chicken special is my go to
Most delicious in affordable price.
Great food! Lamb is a must
Flavourful food, great portions, and all of our dishes were piping hot when they came to the table. Friendly service and lots of options for vegans and meat-eaters alike.
Some days biryani was spicy somedays it wasnt Overall great food
Update (12/12/21): The food is delightful and arguably the best Indian food I ve had. I look forward to exploring more of the menu. During my initial visit, there was an issue with the transaction process and customer service with a relatively new employee. After my initial review, the manager reached out to me to resolve the matter promptly and appropriately. During our conversation, I was met with kindness and understanding. She assured me that the establishment is customer focused and seeks to develop meaningful relationships with lifetime customers.
Very authentic, and delicious. Have done take out from here a couple times now and its been great both times. Still trying to figure out the spice levels though- Medium seems pretty mild.
