Phat Bastard Eats is exceptional. The Mushroom Burger is truly amazing - honestly the best burger I’ve ever had! The quality is top-notch, with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked patties. The service was incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning again in the future.
On the recommendation of my better half, who shall continue to have earned this title due to said recommendation, we went to grab lunch from these folks. After checking the usual location and a quick call we hit them up behind the hospital that day and man oh man was I in for a treat. I got a triple cheese burger with bacon and some light toppings. Holy friggin bonkerstocks was that burger good. Not high cuisine by any means but just the tastiest of tasty that I've had in ages. And I've had some pretty good burgers. I wanted another at the time. Truth is I probably couldn't have eaten it even if I did. I still would've tried. This was weeks ago and I've been meaning to go back (as well as leave this review) ever since. Come to think of it, now that I've written the review, I think I'm gonna go back incredibly soon. Holy shirtballs.

Phat Bastards has officially ruined all other burgers for me. After one bite, I knew I d reached burger nirvana. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor I don t even want to look at another burger joint now. The Spicy BBQ burger is all I can ever think about now. The staff? Absolute legends. Friendly, funny, and they clearly know they re serving up the best burgers in town. If you haven t been yet, what are you even doing with your life? Seriously, Phat Bastards has set the bar so high, I might just move in next door.

Had lunch here today, we ordered 2 bacon bomb burgers. Great sauce and toppings but both of our burgers were a little dry and overcooked. The no option for fries was a little surprising for a burger stand. Would go again and maybe try the potato salad or street corn. Food : 4/5
Ate there today and oh my goodness I am so glad this came up when I searched burgers in Duncan. Absolutely delicious. It is obvious that the ingredients are high quality. I had the double with cheese (no sauce or veg) and it was oh so good. The party was well seasoned and didnt need anything else to make it taste good. Will definitely be back.
So impressed! These guys really know their stuff and you can tell they really care about quality, taste, and making sure that their customers are satisfied. The burgers were all delicious and the whole family loved them! Kept talking about how good they were for our whole drive upisland. Great service and reasonable prices too. Will definitely be back!

I usually have the Original Burger and absolutely love it!!! Today I tried the mushroom burger and it did not disappoint Sooooo yummy, like stroganoff on a bun!!! I highly recommend it!!! Everything is amazing!!!

This is by far my favorite place to eat. My husband is a chef and therefore picky. He came hone so excited about a food truck of all things. He brought me a burger and it was a dream co e true. Delicious patties. So much cheese. Buns perfect. The folks who run it are amazing and kind. And just really fun to talk to. We stalk this truck. Everywhere it goes. So after working at the fair all day. One if the tiwns biggest events. I knew they would be there. And as I sit here eating my favorite thing ever made I couldnt be happier. They taste like the best burgers you ever had at a BBQ as a kid. Just nothing beats them

Oh man best burger Ive had in ages and I made smash burgers for a living. The mushroom burger is a culinary experience. The way the mushroom slurry is placed between the perfectly cooked patties is divine. Honestly worth double what they charge. The kids loved the kids burgers and my wife absolutely devoured hers, a sign that she loved hers as well. Seriously these guys are legit. Go check them out if you are ever in Duncan.

Easily the best burger Ive had since moving to Vancouver Island! Definitely worth the drive from Nanaimo. You can tell they use quality ingredients and the burgers were cooked to perfection. The kind of burger youll be thinking about until you have it again!
Oh man, Ive walked by this truck so many times and finally grabbed a burger at the Saturday market and Ill never walk by them again! The quality was outstanding and the price was soooo reasonable compared to every other place right now. And adding on grilled onions and jalapenos for free? yes please! A lot of gourmet burger joints will over-complicate their burgers. PBE proves that keeping it simple can really work. Hands-down, the BEST mushroom burger Ive ever had! Cooked in a cast-iron, all made-to-order, homemade mushroom sauce instead of just throwing on mushrooms (like most places do). Absolutely amazing!!

Best burger in the Cowichan Valley. Stopped by for lunch after going to the local Saturday Duncan Farmers Market. Convenient location, fantastic fellas running the food truck and a delicious burger that hit the spot. 11/10.
Awesome, awesome fricken burgers. Had the Spicy Bbq burger... it was incredible. Probably the best burger Ive had in Duncan, maybe the Island. I will hunt this food truck down at least once a week. Highly, HIGHLY recommend. Especially when they are in front of Small Block Brewery. Great beer to go with your burger!

I had read nothing but good things about this food truck, and was so pumped to hear another food place being available in the area of my work. BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER EATEN!! Juicy fantastic flavour, cheesy , yummy sauce, perfect onions , pickle perfect, bun fresh and bouncy , just everything was spot on. I will be back and I will be telling anyone and everyone who will listen that they need to try these burgers! Besides the burgers very nice clean truck. Super friendly owners. Love seeing a father son duo. Thank you guys for making these burgers available for our mouths!!! I will be back many many many times!!!

Best burger Ive had for quite some time
Top quality meat for the burgers with a good blend of fat and beef making for a flavourful and juicy burger. Every burger is a double which is nice! Potato salad was not my favorite for flavour as to me it tasted like a little too much bacon grease was in there but it was still a good tato salad. Sweet corn had good flavour and heat. My one suggestion would be to get a tajin shaker for people to add instead of just the crunch toppings. Tajin is an amazing topping for this with head citrus and a wonderful blend of flavours. My one critique would be no fries! But hey the price for what you get is completely fair if not unfair to the owners! These burgers are amazing and the rest of the food is amazing too. Appreciate the fantastic meal guys! 10/10 would reccomend to anyone. The only other comparable burger I have had in duncan for flavour is at the oakhouse but the price is double.

I got the (Ham) Burger the other day and it was great. Im not usually the biggest fan of ham but it was perfectly done and I enjoyed it a lot. Ill have to come back and try a few different burgers but so far its one of the top burgers in the valley, and definitely the #1 burger per dollar.

Best god damn burger I ve had on the Island and easily one of the best I ve had in my life. Incredible food and an awesome father and son that run it. Please support them! Also, if you can, try to go to their truck instead of Door Dashing. Door Dash takes 29% of the order revenue and I think these people deserve to get 100% of what they put into their work. I highly recommend this place. Great service, great grub, and a great time all around
