Nha Trang cuisine seems to be a combination of cuisines from all regions. Recipes of food and drinks have their own appeal with a taste that is too familiar to be confused with a specialty of any province. However, a special thing about the delicious dishes of Nha Trang is that they are all very rustic that tourists often call "street food". It sounds like it's that very "delicious" that has made those dishes famous, even considered a specialty of Nha Trang such as: Pho restaurant, crab vermicelli, crab vermicelli, spring rolls with rice paper. garlic paste. Pork skewers, papaya salad, grilled rice and vermicelli, vegetarian dishes and soups prepared by the restaurant's chef. #Restaurant #Soup #Vegetarian #Salad #Rice
A very nice grilled lemongrass pork with spring roll noodle bowl. The grilled pork was a little on the fatty side but the taste was excellent.
I enjoyed my lunch here. I had salad rolls and Viet ice coffee, then the prawn and pork rice plate. The food was good. They did get hit with 2 bus tour groups though so to be fair im sure the kitchen was a bit banannas. Im going to try it again. Very sweet people working there. Super friendly!
The food was really good.... I'm taking about the pho....I order fried wonton and was very bad it taste like oil only so try to avoid that.....the pho was really good and very big portion....service can be better
excellent traditional pho, the special spring roll is a must try! friendly kind staff. clean nice atmosphere. I definitely recommend trying them out.
Great portion! The bowls are huge here! We were so happy to find a pho restaurant in this area, especially on a rainy day a big bowl of soup was definitely what we needed. Our server did seem like she was new as she did not know much of the menu, and was not able to answer most of our questions. We ordered some drinks to go with our meal but our drinks were made after she started cleaning our table. We felt a little bad as she did mention they were short staff at the time. Overall a great meal
Overall a ok/good experience. Food came super quick. The papaya salad, veggie salad roll was excellent. The spring rolls were really off. Ordered a fruit shake and it came at the end when dinner was done and was just ice. Servers were kind. Not giving a strong recommendation but it wasn’t awful. Probably won’t go again.
A great little Pho 🍜 spot we found in old downtown Duncan. The servers were very polite and attentive and wanted to please. They listened well and got our order perfectly right as it was complicated with changes to all 3 meals. Food was also good quality. Although broth seemed a little watery but meat quality was excellent and everything else was fresh. Hot tea 🍵 was too strong so we stuck to water. One thing they should attend to is all the weeds around the building. Makes the restaurant seem sus but overall pretty good.
Well, this was my first experience and so far they did an excellent job! For the Pho I liked the flavour of the broth! For the vermicelli I like how they served on the plate, beautiful. For the rice wraps, taste awesome and its quite big for us! Perfect size. The chili oil was great! Never had that kind of chili oil which the one I’m looking for. The restaurant clean and cozy, located where people can find it easily. The servers did excellent service. They served pretty quick, less than 15 minutes.
The server has no manners or a bit of respect given to anyone.
You know they are going downhill when they charge a dollar for chili oil. No basil. Beef was well done when the flavourless soup arrived. Food
My children, friends and I have been going to this restaurant for over 7 years. It has always measured up. However, this visit was super disappointing. Unsure if the chef has changed - it seems like the quality left the restaurant. The server was argumentative. Unhelpful & super arrogant.
The server was not very friendly, and after we ordered our meal she then informed us there werent sprouts for our pho which was fine.We had dropped 1 small wedge of lime that came with our meal and she then said if we wanted another one it would cost us extra, we politely declined. Our meal came and usually when you order veitmanise food you get a hot sauce we asked for a little sauce and we got a table spoon full and she charged us $1.00 extra which considering we didnt get sprouts that were supposed to come with our meal you think she could of given it to us. While we were eating another unhappy customer came in and asked to please speak with the manager and asked how she could contact them, there server said she did not know and would not help her. The food was horrible and the meat was all fatty. We wont be back!!
Nice little restaurant which serves a good and authentic pho soup. Very helpful staff. I fully recommend it.
Really nice experience overall
Very good pho. Delicious and generous. Loved the strawberry drink as well.
Had the steak and meatball pho. The broth itself was decent but overall the pho was average at best.
Garbage place. Called in an order to go and the person working there clearly runs a daycare for children because of the amount of screams coming from his end of the phone. Screwed the order up only to find out after I was gone and actually trying to dish up the orders that were made. Hopefully they take the tip money and invest in proper staffing that can take phone calls.
AVOID!! Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Customer service was complete garbage and they clearly do not know how to fulfill orders. We ordered 15 bowls of noodles and only 7 came out. Also ordered several drinks but only 1 came out and was not even what we ordered. When the bill came, all the drinks and 15 bowls were charged. Manager (photo) did not admit it was their mistake and said all the food was served even when the waitress said she only cleaned up 7 bowls from our table. Then one of the waiters started to film us for no reason and made us very uncomfortable. It is also quite concerning that a lot of us also had stomachaches after eating their food. Not sure how they passed food safety inspection but they should not be serving food to the general public. Nightmare experience, would not come here again. Also it appears they also like deleting 1 star reviews just to keep their fake 4 star rating
Horrible way overpriced and food was cold even o pick up
I m vegetarian so I ordered one of the specials - fried tofu with tomato sauce, veggies and rice. The tofu was tasteless, the tomato sauce was a couple of chopped pieces of tomato with some basil, a small bowl of an oily something that wasn t bad but so greasy. No veggies at all except the garnish of some shredded carrot (which was wilted), lettuce and shredded cucumber. My partner did enjoy his meaty Pho. Our server was a cute young man who clearly had just started working there and couldn t answer any questions so his supervisor took over. She was very rude and reeked of cigarette smoke. If we hadn t ordered drinks, I would have walked out right there. There were two Pho places and we were recommended to go to the other one but unfortunately they were closed.
Just needs to make spring rolls a bit bigger like other pho places they seem small but other than that great food
Wonderful place and service with an authentic veggie broth Pho as well. And the home made chili oil delicious too!
Pho bowls looked huge. We had some different choices. A little bit intimidated for a small lunch choice. Simple fare. Decent prices.
Pros- decent food, big pho bowls and good location Cons- the waitresses are not friendly at all. Its hard to enjoy a good meal when you feel they dont want you there. I have been here many times, and I dont like to feel im a inconvenience while supporting your business. Food : 4/5
Very friendly server n very nice Pho We order The sweet one. Good food n big portion
I ve always had a good experience at Pho Vuong. I usually get the vermicelli plate with fried rolls and lemongrass pork, and it s always delicious and fresh. Last time I ate in restaurant (just last week) we had good service as well. My friend got the vegetarian pho and the serving was huge! She really enjoyed it too.
Unwelcoming take out experience. Came in to order Pho as we ve tried many times in the past. We ve struggled with the service in the last few years but decided to try again. Hardly any greeting upon entering. When asking the server a questions received very short answers that were abrupt. I was asked if I wanted a bag after the order was completed with no mention of a fee. I ask if there was a charge for the bag and how else I could carry the 2 pho out and with a snarky reply she said with a bag, and the girl next to her said you could bring your own bag . Guests who dine in are not charged a dishwashing fee or to use the washroom. I ve never been charged a bag fee with any take out order in the past. Worst part was the rude staff. Will not return or recommend.
Went in for dinner this evening had caramelized pork belly and rice- The rice was the only saving grace. It was literally drowned in sauce and edible. The pork belly was not render down. There were two waitresses in there, talking amongst themselves no other customers in the restaurant. They sat there, talking about how good it was to work there, because there are no customers. When I mentioned that my food was drowning and sauce, both of them ignored it- this is a one and done the food was revolting, and the service was nonexistent
I would like to give less than zero for the food and less than zero for the service I ordered the ginger chicken. It was rubbery salty could ve got better out of a can. One other customer in the restaurant the waitress was gabbing with the other waitress- never going back
Terrible- had the soup ~ server didn t check in on me - pho was bland bland bland
I love trying new restaurants and especially supporting local business, but the food and the service was horrible. I will say the rice was good, but the food was drowned in sauce. When I told both servers - they did nothing about it except a stand and talk to her coworker for 25 minutes with no other people in the restaurant no attention to the one and only table in the restaurant, a real disappointment the food was terrible and absolutely no service. The restaurant itself was very cute. I ordered the pork belly it was not rendered down whatsoever. It was tough rubbery and edible and literally drowned in sauce.
Got the chicken pho. Broth had good flavour but disappointed more then half my chicken was not real chicken. Server was lovely but too busy to check in, I had an empty glass for more then half my visit.
It was edible, about as much as I can say for the food. Everything was in general was lacking in flavour; the deep fried wontons tasted like overcooked ground beef in a bland chip with the accompanying dip being just straight cheap soy sauce (no green onion, no ginger, nothing), and the sliced tofu I can only assume was supposed to have a peanut sauce on it since it had only a slightly nutty tinge to it. If youre absolutely desperate for sustenance, youll live, but I wont be coming back by choice. Place was cozy if in need of a few repairs (front door handle was wonky) and staff were friendly, if a little inattentive at times.
Ordered a combo. Amazing broth! Service was very good. Polite and prompt. Good size portion for Pho. Peanut sauce for the salad rolls was so good. Fried roll was decent. And the tea was perfect. Just passing through Duncan and had a craving. Ive ate at many pho places across the lower mainland and Vancouver. Happy to say Id come back here for sure.
Took 45 mins to get our food. The table 5 min behind us was already paying when we finally got our food. It wasn t that busy but every table expect us were served. One server was cleaning a table off instead of taking our order. I had to get the bill as soon as the food arrived and had it packed and sent my daughter on her way with her mom while the rest of stayed to eat. Food was really good service wasn t impressive. Not a short staff issue.
Very good Pho. Broth was clear and soul warming. Could have been a bit sweeter for balance. At first I thought they were stingy with the portions but thats because their bowls are massive so it throws you off. Big hunks of tendon that you never get at other places.
A calm place to hang out on a Saturday afternoon late lunch. Our server was new but hard working and entirely lovely. Best of luck! Recommended dishes
We decided to try this place as we were in Duncan for the afternoon- the food was decent but we felt unwelcome from the beginning by the server. It did not seem like she wanted to serve us and it made for a semi uncomfortable experience and awkward atmosphere. The sour and spicy tofu pho had good broth, but the tofu was weird and not deep fried like the pictures show. The salad rolls were okay. Maybe it was an off day but based on other reviews the service seems to be lacking.
Not a good place to dine. We try to eat today and this server provided us zero or low standard of food service ! She already asked us to give 18 percent of tip considering We haven t order the food. Secondly, we haven t finish eating and this same server asked us to pay our bill! Can I give this place zero star? Do not eat here worse service. Not good food worse experience Parking: Only good thing was parking was free
Portions are on the small side
First time here. Will definitely be back. Everything was delicious and good-sized. Food
By far the best Pho on the Island. If I could give it ten stars I would. Owner and staff very friendly, very quick service.
The portions here are huge! The waitress did warn us that certain soup dishes only come in large, and we were fine with that. Food was on the table shortly. The bowls that came out surprised us as they were bigger-than-your-face large Love how clear the pho broth was, but it felt like it was lacking something. still a pretty good 4/5 pho. The spring rolls weren t anything to write home about, but presentation was nice. The Vietnamese coffee was strong and excellent! I would say 4 stars for the restaurant, cleanliness, and food. But our waitress today was so nice! She was the only one out front and it felt like she was on point with everything. She was polite and took the time to explain different menu items and provided prompt service. I know it s her job, but she seemed happy to be there and made it a positive experience for me. +1 star
I love this place. It s probably my favourite place to actually eat out at. It s small and from the outside doesn t look like much but the food is to die for! Definitely a hidden gem. I usually order a combo 1 and it s a great amount for a great price! The prices are extremely reasonable especially for the food portions that they serve.
Really enjoyed the bun lemon grass pork!
Ordered a beef pho (regular) $16.75. It was not bad, but the beef broth didn t have any beef flavour. It s supposed to be beef bone stock cooked for hours. However the soup was more like Campbell light chicken broth. Hence minus one star.
Terrible tasteless meal, SO disappointing No flavour, no fresh herbs like cilantro, basil or mint. Dipping sauces bland. I doubt anyone Vietnamese would eat this food. Food
Would love to try it, but it was closed even though the opening hours on website and the door was saying it is open.
Not pho broth! Ive eaten many pho from many different restaurants. This is not pho. The broth smelled very funny, and tasted weird. Maybe its just for a kids meal, but for $10, I think some veggies garnish would be nice. It literally just came with rice noodles, a few pieces of meat and broth. The lemon grass pork was very dry. Very disappointing!
Amazing service and food!
Delicious food, great portions, excellent service, and many gluten free-ish options (if you can tolerate a soya sauce marinade)! We will certainly be back again!
Pho Vuong never disappoints us. I love ordering #45 plus spring rolls. Love yall and appreciate yall at Pho Vuongs.
Not bad. The food was delicious, but the portions are kind of small...at least when it comes to the meat. Lots of rice and salad but not enough meat for me.
First time here as we usually go to another place. Lady that took my takeout order was very unfriendly. I did tip her well just to see if it would cheer her up...it didnt. Got the food home and it was substandard. We will not be returning and will take our business back to Green Leaf. Unfortunate on all fronts but sometimes these types of reviews is noted and the manager/owner will up their game. I have not given many negative reviews but feel the honesty of this one was warranted based on the experience as a whole.
Food was great, service only got 3 stars because they really rushed us to order and the place was mostly empty. It was our 1st time there and we wanted to read the menu, but they came back about every minute to ask us what we wanted.
Food was wonderful but service was a bit off. Just not very friendly.
When a restaurant intends to sell Pho, it comes with a burden to perform when that very same restaurant uses the word PHO in its name. I agree with a few other reviewers claiming the broth was not Pho broth. One reviewer specifically claimed it might be just straight Campbells beef broth. I wouldnt doubt it actually because I couldnt taste any traditional ingredients like star anise, ginger, cinnamon, cloves etc etc. One reviewer youll find claims to be a Pho coneseur and raved about the soup. I can assure you, theyre as much of a Pho coneseur as I am a coneseur of canned dog food. It just missed the mark completely for me. Sorry.
Delicious broth and generous meat portions. Miss the Victoria location.
Went in specifically for the Vietnamese sandwich but they ran out of buns
Vegetarian options: Mostly noodles, not a lot of veggies. Food
The food and service was absolutely the best! Thank you and will definitely come back if we return to Duncan
A terribly managed restaurant that can not keep staff. Kitchen and prep areas are NOT clean.
The food was good, but the soup has lots of liquid and they used a big bowl
No water or tea was delivered to the table. Rude staff with slow service. Bowl was way too big for how little noodles there was inside. The soup was the only thing that was alright
Pho was tasty and filling...seems a bit different then last time I ate it there...like a new cook or something. Dont get me wrong, still a great broth with fresh toppings!
Food was good but that was the worst service I ever had in my entire life. The server did not understand any part of what was going on and they were not friendly at all. Also they charge more for coffee than what s posted in the menu. Will not be coming back. Sticking to green leaf
The server who greeted us at the door was extremely rude. She had no patience and barked at us for our passports and identification which we all know by now is required. She then barked at each of us individually asking for Id before we had a chance to take it out and ignored me personally when I tried to show her the form of Id I have available. Lastly when we showed a partially vaccinated passport for our child- she immediately took the chance to aggressively say I can t let you in if you re partially vaccinated you can t come in here. That was the worst welcome I ve ever had to an establishment and it certainly does not make me want to return, even tho we frequent this specific pho location.
I got the crab Pho and the portion was huge. Could have easily shared. The soup itself was amazing. Full of flavour. Understaffed for servers maybe but my soup came out quick! I would come back :)
Amazing food & amazing customer service! I can t stress enough how good of customer service I get from this restaurant. I really want to thank Logan & Chelsea for their help dealing with an issue. They helped resolve the problem fast and went above and beyond! I will absolutely be ordering from here again!
Food was great! Would go again!
The quality is going down and the portions are getting smaller and smaller but the price stays the same... just ordered through doordash and its about half the size it used to be. Half of my lemongrass pork was inedible(fat and tendons) and the prawns way too cooked .Its a shame.
Quick and friendly! Very nice staff
Our initial server was less than inviting, so it didnt start our first visit off on a good foot. I ordered pho steak as I always do. The broth is a 7 and was a little salty and could use more body but it passed the test of broths that I would eat again to ones that I would never. The ratio of noodles to broth wasnt quite right; could have used a little more noodles. Normally, I wouldnt even comment on this, but the jalapeno was a little limpy. Looking forward to trying other pho places in Duncan to see how they stack up.
Fresh and delicious! I had the pho and Bah-mi. I would have done 5 stars, but I found the broth a little weak for my taste. The Bah-mi was spot on and so very good. Also, the staff where very friendly.
Everything good!!
We stopped in on the way through town as our regular spot was closed. It was a funny experience. Im not sure how many people were working but it looked as though it was 2 . There should have been more I think. The lady serving the tables was slow as death and looked as though she was hung over. She wasnt outwardly mean. She just presented as though it was the last place on the planet she wanted to be. She mispronounced pho and when I asked for bun bo hue she said. Use the numbers I dont speak vietnamese. Its was funny. Hard to get good help these days... The owner?I think , zipped around serving food and doing dishes, he may have been making it as well, with a smile on his face. The pho and the salad rolls were great. The bowls were huge. The noodles in the bun bo hue were over cooked so maybe order it with regular rice noodles. Loved the amount of jalapenos . The broth was delicious. Slightly sweet, salty with a linger of star anise. Lots of meat in both bowls. Ive eaten hundreds of bowls of pho all over. This was good. An 8 . When we finally got bill We were going to leave 10% but left a 15% tip as the machine wouldnt let us ! Im leaving 4 stars on the food and effort of the owner. Well worth trying. The waitress has probably quit by now !
The food was very good. Very traditional and served in beautiful bowls. This is the reason I have 4 stars. I dont think we will be back however. The waitress was unhappy and unsure of everything. With any mistake she blamed it on being new, or that she had told the chef so its not her fault. We had a soy allergy in our group. We asked about options and the waitress asked the cook and came out with a list that said some things can be asked to be made without soy. The person in my group ordered and specified absolutely no soy. I also reiterated to the waitress that there should be absolutely no soy as she seemed disoriented and not really listening. When the order came, there was tofu chunks in it. These are made from a soy bean. When we told the waitress that this does not work with a soy allergy she huffed and said she will ask the cook who was also the owner. We could overhear her saying They think the tofu has soy in it. She came over and asked if we would like to talk to the owner and we said yes please. He came and we talked about the soy allergy. He was happy, kind and able to accomodate by putting together a dish that my friend could eat that had no soy. When we asked for drinks the waitress again was confused and talked about closing and not having drinks and coming back saying its not close to closing, and there are drinks. When I ordered the 1 green tea on the menu she took the drink menu from my hands to read it and asked if I knew that they only have one tea on the menu. I said I did know that and that was the one I wanted. The waitress came by to tell us she would be cleaning the washrooms which I found super odd. I could go on and on but I think Ive rambled enough to give you the hint. Overall, great food, but the waitress wrecked the experience.
The food was so delicious especially the tofu appetizer with ginger garlic sauce. Even if you think you don t like tofu you will love this. Great service. Very clean with nice background music and the prices are very reasonable.
Delicious food, nice staff, and super bowl!
Acceptable and OK broth. Shocked when I asked for cilantro the server said theres no cilantro in that dish. I was shocked. Other than that it was good taste, the spring roll were tiny but tasted good. Staff was kind and happy to serve us. I will go again.
Service was great. Very clean. Pho didn t have much flavour though.
So I ordered the pho with just the steak to go, when I opened the plastic bowl container i found just broth and the second small plastic container had all the ingredients which was quite small, very little rice noodles. Maybe 3 or 4 slices of rare beef. Onions ect. For $15.99 plus $1. For the chili oil.( that spilled in the bag) the soup was basic but nothing amazing! Now if you want exceptional pho try green leaf bistro. Hands down the best pho on the island. The broth was rich in flavor. You get loads of rare beef and it comes with free chili oil with the rest of the toppings ( the owner there is a bit strange so I wouldnt eat in but I would definitely order to go there again on my next vacation) Ps. Those ordering from skips the dishes from any small businesses have to up the prices because skip the dishes charges 30% interest so youre paying double on every order. Its not worth it when some businesses are already skimming on the dishes because of inflation!! Stick to delivery or pickup, just not at this place. Thank you!
Best Pho in town!
Very authentic taste and decent portions for a small town. I m impressed. Very good job.
Great food. Pho and salad rolls!!
Horrific service. Very unfriendly. Mumbling, cranky, no food sage practice. Very bad portion size so small. Two pieces of short rib in the wonton. Black spots on the cabbage. The extra tofu was cut matchstick just from a raw brick. Not fried like the photo. Nice atmosphere. Would not go back
Flavour of photos was good; however, I asked for seafood and was surprised to find no protein in broth or noodles when I got home.
Very nice broth. They skimp on the toppings a bit, but everything is quite tasty. Service is alright.
Great food and service....perfect location downtown Duncan. I recommend!
Ok Pho but they dont offer it with satay.
Its one of our favorite places to eat in Duncan. Consistent quality.
Delicious food! Slightly disappointed that they dont have Sate, but the Pho was still really good.
Love their chicken and lemongrass vermicelli. Its always delicious and never had an issue here.
The pho was some of the best Ive ever had!
Great value, good atmosphere, generous portion sizes, and fantastic, authentic tastes. I would eat here every day if I could!
Try the iced coffee!
My wife always orders the #20 on noodles. But today she said that the chicken was tasteless, bland with none of the usual flavour. We hope that was an oversight for this time only.
Mmmm so good, every meal at the table looked great. Come support a small business that serves great food!
The food was excellent, the service was great and nice location. Will return next time I am in the area
Good pho and friendly staff.
Terrible service, no even worth 1 star. No one is helping, no even a glass of water.
Great authentic Pho in Duncan, highly recommended
Super slow service and even don t know what you ordered! So sad.
Great value and tasty selection of authentic plates. We managed to walk in as a party of 8 and eat right away. Would recommend to anyone craving a pho or a vermicelli with pork.
Impressions: - Overpriced for what you get - Taste was so-so - Restaurant was messy - Service nothing special - Very little noodles in pho - Selection items on takeout menu not for takeout. . . ?
The food is not authentic, I had the grilled garlic pork and was so disappointed as soon as I saw the meat. This was more a sausage meat than real meat, and it was blend. Not only that, but there were several flies flying all over the restaurant, I am sure they probably went to the kitchen too. The whole ambiance was weird.
I ordered steak pho and caramelized chicken with noodles, it was so-so not much of meat in the soup and noodle dish. Servise was great though
They forgot our salad roll appy. It had some kind of Bologna in it #20. Good peanut sauce though. The ginger pork belly special want braised so the meat was super tough. The brocolli was super fish saucy. 28# was good. But there was no dressing for the salad. Server was rather poor, but he seemed to be inexperienced and rather young.
We had Pho and wonton. Both were great! Broths were great! Friendly staff!
amazing food, try the combo for 1 steak pho , spring rolls and salad wrap, delicious
This place is in the old Duncan town area. Clean and decent place for Pho. Ordered some take out. Standard pho nothing special but if you are craving pho this place can do it for you.
No complaints here. Everything was fresh and tasty, friendly service, reasonable prices. Washroom bit of an inconvenience as located out of restaurant in shared building space needing shared key, but not a big deal.
Theyre soups fantastic. Also lemon glass pork is so delicious . I will be back soon
Amazing food - authentic and fresh! The Pho Vuong rolls are our fave! Great service! Highly recommend!
Incompetent staff, mediocre food, and charge extra for condiments do yourself a favour and choose Greenleaf Bistro Duncan for reasonably priced absolutely excellent food and great service.
High quality pho, great service, and yummy deep fried bananas.
We moved to the Cowichan Valley area and found this little gem of a place in Duncan. Love it!
Good Pho!
3 words Wonton Soup Yum
Excellent broth ! Will make the stop again.
Absolutely delicious! Ordered through Dash ans the food arrived in 20 mins. Portions are so huge that my husband used a mixing bowl for his pho lol. The spring rolls and deep fried wonton are to die for! This was our first time ordering and well definitely be regulars now!
great soup and service
Amazing food :)
Decent to good food, and giant portions. I felt like I was bothering our server, and was charged separate for a spoon of chili flakes for my Pho. Still an excellent deal for two full meals.
Food is fresh, great flavors. Best Vietnamese iced coffee in town. Servers are friendly and efficient.
The staff is friendly
It was delicious, but there was an error in the calculation and we had to recalculate. They told us to come back and pay while we were far away. E-transfer didnt work either. What is this?
delicious
The Pho Ga was fantastic.
Randomly found this joint, after smoking a joint, after the Saturday market. Got the number 3 it was amazing, vietnamese coffee to wash it down. Delicious cheap and plentiful
Best place in town for pho!
Solid, reliable pho. Good options for kids. Reasonably priced. Fresh ingredients. Good broth. Will be back
Very tasty pho. I am a foodie and this is my go to place for Vietnamese food.
Excellent food and service. Will go again!
Great food, excellent staff, authentic cuisine! We spent the winter in Vietnam and have a place close to home to revisit enjoying the food and of course the Vietnamese coffee with milk!
Big portion size lots of noodles and a tasty broth make this bowl of pho very good. Pork salad roll was very good as well and a nice size as well.
My mind was blown at how good the food is here. Great value for the money. Fast service
Food was generally good and wee prepared. I had a vermicelli plate and it was a good meal for about $14.00. Service was good. Fried won ton were salty and overdone. We will go back.
Just finished the most amazing traditional Vietnamese Hot and sour lobster soup dish at Pho Vuong! Never have I experienced such intense flavour and the perfect amount of hot spice!! Also the service here is top notch. Definitely one of the best places around for authentic high quality food !!
Great food. Staff and service
It was terrible. The wontons were over cook and the chef special was so over power with cilantro.
friendly staff and delicious pho
Pos: plate size portion enough for two. Lemon beef is rare on Vancouver Island and they do it well. Viet coffee is spot on. Priced $$ for how good and how much you get. Interior is spacious. Free parking available close by Cons: none I can think of.
This is the must-to-visit place for Vietnamese food in Duncan. I ordered the Grilled Lemongrass Pork and Fried Rolls, and it was amazing. If you love prawns, dont forget to order their grilled prawns skewer, it comes with yummy homemade butter on top.
One of my preferred restaurants in Duncan. The food is good, the owners love what they do.
Very tasty food, and the cute Vietnamese server who helped us was very nice and responsive!
Lunch was very good!!
Good place for Pho. Centrally located. Not a lot of other options around anyway.
Great food and service. Best Vietnamese iced coffees!!
Delicious food, fast service, great for lunch time
Lovely little place with great pho, inviting atmosphere and really welcoming staff! We had two different dishes and both were hearty portions.
Best vietnamese place in Duncan.
Good food, nice portions, and friendly staff. Love this place.
Been here a few times. Never disappointed. A pho restaurant isnt worth its wait in salt if they dont serve tendon & tripe.. they serve both :)
Such good pho
Food is quite good, portion sizes are generous, and the staff are friendly.
Fast service very good food and friendly staff
THE MOST DISGUSTING food Ive ever paid for. In the four years I have been with my husband, I have NEVER seen him spit out food until this place. I ordered a pork vermicelli bowl and my husband ordered basil beef. Mine looked and tasted like cut up, deep-fried Spam. It was colorless and the texture was not like meat. My husbands meal was powdery like it was cooked and the spices were poured on afterwards. Please save your money and appitites- this place is no bueno.
I ordered the Pho Vuong Special and was totally horrified and disgusted when I bit into a cold meatball in the soup. The service was really slow and pathetic, too, despite the place being next to empty - we were sitting at one of two occupied tables in the restaurant with two servers working. I try to support local businesses, but my family and I will be going out for dinner elsewhere after tonight.
Fresh food and great staff
I have a feeling some of the negative reviews for this place are from people who dont usually (ever?) eat Vietnamese food. My wife and I were first time in this location - we had the Pho and first thing I commented on was how clear and tasty the broth was. Noodles were also done to perfection. The large bowl is even more massive than most Phos. Later after we finished the owner/chef was in the dining area and I asked about the broth.. he said it cooks for over 14 hours and then sits for even longer. This place clearly has a dedicated following, we heard others come from Crofton and even Victoria to eat there. The girl serving us was friendly and attentive. Its well worth a visit, my only negative was some of the chop sticks could use replacing as they are super worn.
Loved it
This was my first time trying Pho. I was not disappointed. I went with the Combo 1, which came with some rolls and steak soup. Everything was fresh and tasty. The prices are pretty reasonable for how much food you get. Im a big guy and couldnt finish my soup, so thats saying something. The only thing I would do differently is pull back on how much Sriracha and Hoisin I put in the soup, but thats a noob thing. Next time Im out in Duncan, Ill be stopping in Pho sure. Hahahahahaaaaaa! Ahem. Sorry.
Okay food at okay prices.
I never get tired of this place, always delicious. Best Pho!
Best Vietnamese on the island.
Food was pretty good. Not the type of food we thought we were going to but didnt realize the restaurant had changed since we were last there.
Good pho, great service , decent little place not great bathroom
Fantastic bowl of Pho. They accommodated my hope for no noodles with a bunch of veggies for no extra charge.
Great food and serving
Always been a customer of Pho Voung since I moved in Duncan. I only order their Soup Special and its still good upto now. Keep it up!
Best family oriented vietnamese restaurant on Vancouver island. Hands down
I ve been going to this place since it opened, the food is killer my favourite part is that it is consistently just as good as the first time, I love beef pho but after I tried hot and sour prawn soup I have not been able to eat nothing else since,
Great service, fast serving, quality pho, bbq pork belly is amazing!
Went here last week to try their new chef s special menu and were super satisfied. We had Vietnamese crepes, Beef stew Pho and Spicy Noodle soup. The soup broth was hot and yummy, the portion was large with lots of meat. Very impressed with the beef stew as the meat was tender and flavorful. The crepe was crispy with lots of fillings and a variety of fresh herbs to eat with. Should have taken some pics but we were so hungry and ate right away as soon as we were served lol. Thanks guys for your friendly service and delicious food. Will definitely return
Amazing food, highly recommended. Its a weekly stop for me
The food is great and the workers are just wonderfull
Good Pho and good service.
Very authentic , great lunch spot !
Like their plates better than their phõ
Hands-down best phó in Cowichan. Get the extra veggies for $2.50: its totally worth it.
