White Spot Duncan in Duncan

Got the chicken mushroom alfredo, and I spent the night in the er with chills and aches and when I talked to the doctor he said it was food poisoning. Not worth the rough night I had.

Had a late lunch today while driving through Duncan. Everything from the food to our amazing server Kim was good. A very pleasant surprise.

Been here a few times recently and none of my wait-staff used the correct language when asking me if Id like upcharged items, just asked do want it?do you want avocado When I asked is it an upcharge he didnt answer at first and I had to ask 2 more times and he whispers 3.50 as if he didnt want to let me know. Its not hard to ask would you like this for an upcharge makes people feel more comfortable if they dont get deceived about the price of 2 slices of avocado being 3.50 Wheelchair accessibility: Good door and entrance with lots of good table and seating options for motorized wheel chairs and normal

The service was great. The food was not up to White Spot standards.

Both times ( in the last two weeks) we took our 88 year old Mom to dinner at the Duncan White Spot they served her a burger that wasn t what the menu said. Both times she had to wait while we all are our meals as the same waiter said it would be right out. Both times it was about 20-30 minutes she sat with nothing. The strange and upsetting fact that it didn t say cheese on the menu ( our Mom doesn t like cheese) why does it come with cheese then?? The waiter said he give the other table her burger really ?? Both times??? When I asked him to discount the bill he said well she got her burger and when I said that s not the point he said I will see what if anything can be discounted. He acted like he was angry at me like it was our fault not one to complain but really not happy with this it s not like White Spot to do this twice and then not even think it s abnormal. I know there are way worse things going on in this world I just sayin don t expect the burger in the menu to arrive as stated.

Ordered cobb salad, wad a little different than other Cobb salads I have had. Very good

We get amazing service at this location, even during happy hour. Food is always consistent. The friendly server always checks back to offer refills. Would recommend! Vegetarian options: The veggie burger patty can be swapped for any patty in their burger options. They are also happy to modify options to be inclusive. There are also many veggie options in their happy hour menu (love the zoo sticks, which they are very generous with).

White Spot is always a consistently good dinner spot. Nothing fancy and a great place for a family dinner with kids. The staff are helpful and friendly with the restaurant being clean and the food being good with reasonable prices. Again way over priced food was overcooked and vegetables were not fresh whats wrong with these greedy business owners quality and service should be before profit

I have to take a star off for the prices. The food was good, the service was good, none of that has changed. But $25 for a burger and $5 for a fountain pop before tip? I get prices have gone up every where but my paycheque didnt. We used to come here once a month, now it will be likely 3 or 4 times a year. No fault of the staff though, good service and the food was tasty.

Ive been to the Whitspot several times, in Duncan and Nanaimo, and it never disappoints. Even when the menu has changed over the years, the food is always well prepared. Awesome service, too. Keep up the great work! Parking: Duncan has many parking spots, as does the Nanaimo one at Woodgrove Center. Never an issue.

Two of us had eggs bennie there last week. We both ordered how we wanted the eggs done. Friends was as ordered. Mine was over hard(solid) which was ordered runny yoke. By the time I got my replacement my friend had just finished & I was charged full price. Not impressed as when I paid the bill the server seemed surprised I brought it up, but was unable to adjust the bill in any way without speaking to a manager first which takes more of my time too. My thoughts was she should have done this when she took my over hard eggs back.

Went with my mom and son, pirate packs are always great for kids, and you cant go wrong with an original burger with a milkshake.

We went when it wasnt too busy so we got served right away. Typical white spot food and nice size portions. Most of the time you really cant go wrong with white spot and this one is one of the better ones.

My wide and kids had the fruit and waffles . They loved it and I had endless hashbrown with bacon and eggs . Very big portions I recommend

We were driving through from Victoria up island and decided to stop for lunch. We were very happy with our choices off the menu. The plates were hot! We had vegetarian options. The burgers were very taste and the Ceasar salad was fresh. We had 2 side dishes (onion rings & brussel sprouts). The bathrooms were clean. Overall a really friendly atmosphere. We will return Vegetarian options: Mushroom & Brie Impossible Burger also excellent

I made a reservation for Mr. Mikes steak house they didn t make my reservation and lied about it and was very rude to me on my birthday!!! Then my friend called white spot and they said we can be seated right away only look 5-8 minutes to get there from the other place and everything was all ready for us very kind and good food. So grateful they could take us on such short notice and they were very happy to have us there. I would definitely recommend this White Spot. Thank you White Spot. And yes I did get my steak it was great.

Went today and ordered a cheddar burger and hubby had the hearty breakfast. Burger was good...fries were cold. Hubby asked for medium poached eggs and they were hard poached and cold...so was his toast and back bacon. The smashed potatoes were good. Waiter was a nice fellow but by the time he asked us how we were doing I was almost finished burger and hubby was starving. We told him about cold food and over prepared eggs.. ..he did offer for kitchen to remake but we didnt have time to wait. He talked to kitchen and said they were only offering 15% off the bill. I felt sorry for waiter as its not his fault about our food. But take note that the cook on that day was terrible! If you cant poached a medium egg and send out hot food you need to go back to culinary school. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

You steal a load of white spot when I lived in town. Went there for lunch today for the first time in a couple years, fries were soggy and undercooked. For the price there is better places to have lunch

We enjoyed the Wine Wednesday menu. Eva really liked the Steelhead Burger, which she was able to option into lettuce wrap. Our server, Tonya, was terrific.

Starting to slide into the smaller portions for more money thing. Getting a bit pricey for a casual lunch As for the reply: Wait What? Did you not read what I wrote? Basically saying if I want to spend more money for the same experience I will have to find another place to get my moneys worth.

I ordered a perfectly created Stealhead burger on a Gluten Free bun( great tasting bun). I had the house salad with herbed oil vinaigrette. Our Waiter, Noah was fabulous. And, I am so thrilled that WS has so many Delicious GF options, wow! Dietary restrictions: Celiac. Extremely careful in serving meal, ensuring non- gluten contact.

I have never written a negative review before. On January 30 I went for lunch at this white spot. It was not busy but it took a long time to get lunch. I was in no hurry so didnt worry. I ordered my old favorite burger. I noticed right away that the bun was over cooked and dark and had light black burning on the edges. I didnt have time to wait again for a new one. So I took off the bun and used my knife and fork. The bacon was so hard you couldnt cut it and it crunched hard to eat and the burger was actually completely over cooked and dry and had burn on the edges. Oddly considering the burn situation I was surprised that it was not even warm, more room temperature. It was the worst burger Ive ever had. We live on a small gulf island and had to get going, so couldnt really deal with it. As I was leaving I saw a waiter carrying food to a table and saw a burger with the exact same dark over cooked bun. My feeling is that the buns, meat and bacon had to be sitting in an oven to keep warm maybe, and allowed to burn, and then had been removed due to the overcooking. Our waiter was absolutely lovely and he did a great job.

Stopped here on the way home from vacation up island. This was a great experience. I had the fish and chips and it was very good. My wife had a burger and salad. Our server, Brenda, was super helpful and even recommended some gravy for my fries, which I enjoyed. Lovely place, will stop here again.

Picked up two turkey dinners to have over Christmas, and again another turkey dinner for New Years. The dinners were delicious and cooked to perfection...loved the mash potatoes. Nick (the manager) straightened out a very, very tiny issue with my order and was most gracious and classy on how he handled the matter. Superb costumer service!! Looking forward to dining with White Spot in Duncan over and over again in 2024! Thank you Nick.

Staff was friendly. Brenda our server was excellent and the ribs she brought us were amazing. The meat fell off the bones and the ten year old texting this was happy and sloppy. Brenda brought me lots of wet naps because I wasn t going to be allowed in the car unless I was not sticky. I think I liked the old car better, there were less rules with that car. Protect the Moo Moo fish!

The BC Sunny start is a good breakfast. Lots of great breakfast options and reasonably priced

This is the first time I have ever had to give a bad review. My family and I were there for new years eve for a nice family dinner. My toddler contracted food poisoning and it was scary. My toddler was throwing up so violently that she went red in the face, and was passing out from choking on her vomit. She went to CGH. I really expected more from this restaurant. Its been our family favourite but I guess with food prices being so expensive your restaurant is cutting corners or someone didnt do their due diligence when it comes to food safety. As a result we are saddened to not go there in the future

I have a son with multiple severe food allergies so we are a bit of a pain when we order food from restaurants. I cannot say enough good things about the Duncan White Spot. They are always SO accommodating with finding food options that are safe for my son. Many (if not all) of their staff are familiar with how carefully food allergies need to be handled. As a parent of a child with allergies, it is a HUGE relief to find a place that you know your child can eat at safely. This White Spot has, and will continue to be, our go to place when we want too eat out as a family.

Waited for half an hour with a small child. No one came to take our drinks or ask us if we had been served. There was next to no one in the restaurant. We were just getting up to leave when a waitress came over for our drinks. We explained we were thinking of leaving. She rolled her eyes at us, told us she had just taken an order for a group of ten and we were welcome to go. Then she walked away. Didnt apologize for the wait or anything. Very rude service.

I find that the prices were way too high for White Spots, not to mention charging almost $5 for pop and lemonade is ridiculous. We had spagetti, and both options were very tasty, nonetheless, its too too expensive.

Good food

We always enjoy our food quality at White Spot. Service is great, but there is a server by the name of Sheri who is the amazing. From the first time we came in to this one, we have been lucky to get her as our server. She makes you feel like your family and is so positive and always sure to make sure everything is to your liking. Her professional, but yet, warm and welcoming personality is so great and it makes us wanna come back often and we feel like weve won the lottery when she is our server on that day. We sure hope the company treats her right and other customers tip well. Gotta keep the good servers around not just to serve us right, but to show us all how we should treat others with kindness and respect. The world is such need of that right now.

Stopped in with a friend while shopping. Ordered our meals and coffee. Coffee arrived - my cup had crusty food residue all over the outside so asked somewhat indifferent waitress for a cup that was actually clean. The second cup was also crusty - waitress said hes just draining the dishwasher as if that should somehow make it all alright. Waited and waited and waited for the third try - guess she was maybe trying to prove a point but the longer we waited, the less I wanted to trust the cleanliness of the food or plates, so in the end we walked out. Went somewhere else and had a wonderful meal (for less $) and a totally awesome, friendly and professional waitress. Guess White Spot has permanently lost my business

If you re ordering the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl make sure you are getting a full chicken breast like the photo below. They put chicken thigh in the first one we ordered hoping we wouldn t notice. When we questioned it staff tried to tell us they don t serve chicken thighs here.. lol on the menu they serve gochujang chicken burger made with chicken thighs Don t be fooled breast of chicken cost more than cheap thighs !!

Oven was inoperative, didnt tell us until after two of our party had ordered. Food was mediocre, one dish had to be sent back with undercooked potatoes and overcooked eggs. Seemed understaffed and we repeatedly had to call our server over for the bill and subsequent payment. A disorganized place to work with the staff not knowing what was expected of them.

Food was pretty good, service was great. However the cost of drinks is a little ridiculous. A single soda is $4.29. My dad got a tea and it was the same price. Why does a single tea bag cost $4.29? Honestly absurd. Two non alcoholic drinks that cost the business literal pennies shouldnt add almost $10 to the tab.

Been multiple times and is a place where I get the same good experience. There chicken ceazer salad wrap is my go to order, and enjoyed all other foods I had. Atmosphere is nice and well lit, great for family gatherings.

Went to this place on trip to Nanaimo, as there used to be to be a White Spot in Nova Scotia . Not related. Anyway, it had your family restaurant vibe, and great staff but the food was bad, really bad. I had the Chinese inspired crunchy chicken sandwich, and it tasted like it had been cooked in old burnt oil. More breading than meat, which had an awful colour/flavour for chicken thighs. I left lots of the breading on my plate as it was bad. My spouse had the fish & chips, which looked great but had a very thick batter swimming in grease not much fish. Another waitress cleared our plates, so I didn t have a chance to show ours the burger remains. Also the shredded Napa on burger, looked like old dried out regular cabbage. Can t believe this place gets such good reviews, and recommend not going.

Tasty, but I find White Spot is getting pricey these days. I ordered the legendary burger plate with a coffee. The burger with fries and a scoop of cole slaw was only $14 - but the slice of process cheese on top was an extra $2, and the cup of coffee another $4. With tax and tip, $25 for the most basic meal. The food is better than the average burger joint, but not twice as good.

We had pasta with meat sauce and pasta alfredo with chicken. Both were soon good. Very tasty and served nice and hot. Servers were very friendly. The vanilla icecream is so good. My suggestion is a paper placemat or a side plate for the garlic bread and the utinsels to instead of having to put things right on the table. But. Great place to have a tasty meal. While the service was good, I am not too happy with this place. We ordered the chicken quesadillas and I do not suggest it. The chicken was dark grey and very bland. I heavily suspect it was canned chicken, and it was dark meat chicken too, which makes it even more gross. They dont even know how to make proper quesadillas with lettuce, onions, peppers, and cheese either. All they did was dump some gross canned chicken and canned corn and some kind of unknown sauce (?) onto a weird tortilla. It was so awful we could barely even manage to eat any of it. It was like the flavors clashed horribly. I should also note that we were there in the middle of Happy Hour but were charged the full price for everything. And those quesadillas were not worth $54, believe me. Definitely never coming back! Save your money and taste buds- Avoid this place.

Terrible pasta-soft and gross. Barely any sauce. When asked for garlic bread, received a hand written note upon delivery saying it doesn t come with garlic bread. Which we knew, and wanted as an add on. When we phoned the store to complain, little care was given. Chicken was like rubber.
