The service has been incredibly slow both times I have been here at dinner time. Both on weeknights with an empty restaurant. Drinks are not refilled, food takes a long time, long waits in general.

Food prices have gone way up now. I swear the New York strip was $39.95 few months ago now gone up to $44.95. I can go to the keg or Ruth Chris for that pricing and get better quality

Great steaks and burgers and churos

Dinner combo for 2 fajitas, an appetizer, 2 drinks was up over 140$. Ordered without jalapeño an we got them still, nothing done about this. The toppings lettuce were withered, and the cheese was warm an looked sitting for awhile Food : 2/5

Our family has enjoyed Lone Star for years but this may have been our last visit. Incredibly expensive and portions have shrunk immensely. Service was friendly but not up to par (less attentive and slower than usual) and it wasn t a busy night in the restaurant. I no longer feel comfortable recommending this place.

Came here on the monday of labour day weekend as there were many open spots on open table. We waited for 20 mins and the Resturant was only quarter full. After 35 minutes and many people leaving, we asked to be seated. The hostess asked the kitchen manager to seat us and the kitchen manager Montana told her to not seat us and to just leave. The hostest was very kind and felt bad about it and mentioned they only scheduled 2 waiters for the entire evening. I have never felt more disrespected in my life. Another gentleman was there as well for an hour and never got his food pickup. We were told that we are really busy but the resturant was close to empty. Montana the manager wouldnt even come out to apologize to us. He just sent the hostess to tell us to leave.

Fish tacos exceeded my expectations for a chain. A little on the pricey side but I guess most places are right now. Not a very good selection of drafts on tap.

The portions have gotten small and the price has gone up had the fajitas for 2 was so small and very little peppers mostly onions was not enough we get that all the time and it was more like for one not 2 this time also the price has gone from 50 to 70 for less food

Place must be understaffed. We ordered as a family and the kids meals come out first, which is cool, but 30+ minutes later our meals still didn t arrive. Kids ordered pop for the free refills but the server didn t check in on us at all, so they were waiting on their refills until the end, which we didn t get. Additionally, the kids meal comes with dessert but we had to remind the server. There s more stuff I could complain about but I ll chalk it up to a misunderstanding and poor policy, only saying it would be good practice for servers to confirm orders at the table to avoid disappointment.

VERY DISAPPOINTING! Me and my boyfriend frequent this place often and I ve gone with friends for their fajitas! Yesterday we went and ordered the steak fajitas for two! The rice they brought out was so undercooked my bf was hurting his teeth chewing it. The tomato s, lettuce, and cheese were so dried out I wanted to vomit! We only could put the sour cream chimichuri sauce on our fajitas. The waitress did not come over once after our food was brought out to ask if everything was ok Or ask if we needed another drink! When she finally came and asked if we wanted the bill she didn t ask how was the food nothing she just asked if we needed the machine. So we told her basically that the condiments were terrible and we couldn t use the rice at all or the rest of them. We also told her that we ve been there so many times and never had this happen. She apologized made excuses and that was it. She came over to offer us a free dessert which we refused. No manager came over to see what was wrong nothing! When she came with the bill they charged us full price for everything minus $15. I was so livid when I left they could have just charged us for the drinks and called it day! We will never go back there

The near empty dining room on a Saturday evening should have been a red flag. They got our food orders wrong and the rice tasted off.

Hurricane provided great service and was very kind and attentive. We ate on the patio and had a phenomenal lunch. The food was perfectly cooked as well.

honestly the worst dining experience my family has ever had waited 5 minutes to be sat, not a big deal if it wasn t completely dead.. our server (HotDogLover, according to the bill) didnt offer us drinks until we asked, or check on us for refills. while we waited 30 minutes for our food, we could see our server talking and enjoying chicken wings in the back. our food came our cold, undercooked, very obviously sitting out while our server enjoyed his food.

An online family-sized order was placed with a pick-up time in three hours. We arrived a bit earlier than the given time however the food was already in a bag -- at barely a lukewarm temperature! I hope nobody gets sick from eating food that had been left out for who knows how long. Since food safety was not a consideration, we will not be returning.

So expensive for average food and flat beer

The fried pickles were super greasy, the chicken sandwich is average, however my reason for the low score is the pricing. $13 for a single beer is insane and so is 25 for a mid sandwich. The only saving grace is that the waitresses are wonderful. Dont think Ill be back though

I normally go to the Richmond Hill location, but thought Id give this one a try since parking is easier to get. The food is good/okay but didnt follow the same recipe as other locations; the sauce with the chicken sandwich wasnt the same as it says on the menu and wasnt as good. The food wasnt hot either, felt like it had sat on the counter for a while. Not good enough for lone star. The service was okay, no complaints but not amazing. It felt like lone star.. but just worse. Not up to the standards I expect from this chain which is usually amazing.

Service was so slow, food was cold and just to get our bill took forever when the restaurant was almost empty. Won t return to this location, very disappointed. That s my experience, I hope others haven t had the same. Food : 2/5

Padre was our server and this was definitely one of the best services I ve ever gotten at a restaurant. Margaritas looked perfect and tasted amazing. The managers wyatt and Stirling were stellar and were Constantly checking up all over the restaurant. Great to see the teamwork!!! Love love love

Where do I begin? Ok appetizer...... The smallest, hardest wings I ever had with hot sauce that tasted like nothing and blue cheese that never made it to the table! Ok Im hungry so I ate the crappy wings because they were $40 plus! Lets have a drink...... A double rum and coke that did not taste of rum or diet coke at all . Ok so far no good. Im thinking my meal will have to be better! Sadly it only got worse! My 14 oz rib steak came out cooked Blue (cold raw centre) after I ordered it medium rare. So while my table of 8 ate and finished their meals mine finally came out. Now it was the opposite problem, the new steak came out cooked medium well and at this point Im just wanting to eat something so I figured a lil extra cooked was better than a raw mooing steak! It was significantly smaller and deformed compared to the first steak and too many blubbery fat parts..... gross to say the least! On to my side dish..... Garlic butter broccoli (I ordered double broccoli as my 2 sides) they only brought out half of what they first brought me in round 1. Thats a good thing because the broccoli was caked with sooo much salt and no taste of butter! The side dish of shrimps I ordered were four small shrimps with 80% onion and peppers. . Ok Im totally dissatisfied by this point and so I could care less about the 50% off they gave me on my meal. Honestly dinner with my family was ruined for me and Im not going to get into the problems with everyone elses orders! Highly disappointed, will not return and my wife who is a local realtor and me a local contractor will make sure our friends, family and clientele are well informed to skip this place! Save your money and go elsewhere!

My boyfriend and his family went here for his sister s birthday and although the servers were very friendly; my boyfriend ordered a well done steak and got a medium rare steak.. which happens and it was taken off of the bill, then he ordered some wings to take home for me, and he said that they had to remake it as they made the wrong order the first time, so it took quite a bit. When he got home with the food we went to eat the wings and they weren t fully cooked, there was pink and we unfortunately had to throw it away. The prices aren t the cheapest and having to throw it out feels wasteful. We were disappointed.

I waited one hour for my order and lady all the time saying 5 minute and its busy in kitchen while its only 3 customer walk in last 1 hour ..so frustrating

Went to celebrate a birthday. Phoenix and team made our night. Excellent atmosphere, friendly service, and awesome food.

Sadly the quality of food and customer service have both severely declined at this location. My family and I like to come here once in a while to enjoy dinner, though the most recent visit will most certainly be our last. Our experience consisted of the following: did not receive chips and salsa (not a huge deal, but annoying when you see another table get them), the restaurant was all but EMPTY and service throughout took much too long, I ve been a server in the past (for 8 years) - guac and chips should take 3 min, nachos -10min MAX to hit the table, both took about 25. Nachos have shrunk in size and gone up in cost. Entrees were mostly inedible, and NOBODY came to check on us to realize this. Wings were black-boned and dry, fajitas looked depressing for something that costs 60$. Again, there were virtually 3 tables sat at the time. After not touching our food we had to find someone to get us the bill, only then did they realize we hardly ate and asked what was wrong with it, we said the food was not prepared well and they said they will get the manager. Now this was the cherry on top. I m not sure if it was her first day, or her last day - because her customer service skills were that of impossibly caring less. She saw the table, saw we were upset and said, so you guys just want the bill then? - not a care to ask what was wrong with the experience/food/what I can do to change this meal for you/let me take something off the bill . The kicker is we paid for the full meal. Ate guac, nachos and 1 taco. From a corporate perspective, I suppose all I can advise is to train your staff better all around.

While the food was edible, it was flavorless, lacked seasoning and there is no salt or pepper on the tables or brought at service time to add to the meal. I found it over priced for a meal out for two people when only 1 alcoholic drink was on the bill. As a family of 3 who often go out with extended family members, we are able to do 4 people at a similar class restaurant with 3 alcoholic drinks for the same amount as our invoice was here. The staff member was kind and courteous. While we were a simple table of 2 and not many around, we didnt find her in our face, but was lacking visually if we had wanted to call upon her. Overall, the experience was fine, but I wouldnt go out of my way to return due to cost value and bland food.

The experience was not great. I had to use flashlight on phone to see menu. The queso was griddy, chips were stale tasting and over all bad. We ordered chicken fajitas only had onions no peppers. The staff is friendly but it was slow. Restaurant was not busy.

I went this weekend my server was sangria, she and the food was excellent!

Muffin is the absolute worst waitress I have ever had and I left no tip for the first time in my life. On Saturday, January 27th, we joined our group late and they had already enjoyed the tortilla chips and salsa and had ordered a couple appetizers - which was fine, but we were never brought or offered any of the complimentary chips/salsa by the waitress. We waited forever for drinks and by the time we ordered our mains, most of the other diners had left, leaving a much emptier (more manageable) restaurant. Understandably, after a busy night, they were out of steak - np. I got the fajitas and my husband ordered the wings. I got one strip of green pepper, lots of fried onions, dried out chicken that were all cold and not sizzling on the skillet. The flour tortillas were cold as well, its as if i got someone elses leftovers that had sat all night. My husband had asked for ranch for his veggie sticks and instead they were put on the wings and the veggie sticks were dried out and woody. Muffin never cleared the appetizers/empty cups off the table when she delivered the mains and was nowhere to be seen the entire night - she never came to check on us to ensure we were enjoying the meal or needed drink refills. When we got our bill, she had put 1/3 of the apps that our friends enjoyed on our bill, even though we had none. When I questioned it, there was no apology - nothing. By that point I was hungry and upset as I couldnt enjoy my cold food and was just ready to leave, so I paid for apps I didnt eat, cold food I barely touched it was so awful and my husband also didnt enjoy his wings. The real kicker is when I watched another waitress who was cleaning off the tables that sat dirty for quite a long time sweep them off with the broom she was cleaning the filthy floors with. We used to love this place but will NEVER be back!!!

If you go for an all you can eat day, be ready for a LONG wait between refills. We did the fajitas and it was 25+ minutes for a refill. Seems that they get you to pay extra for all you can eat, but make it so you dont have time for a second or third serving. It was about 20% full of customers. Not busy. Be aware.

Have not been for many years and pleasantly surprised. Attentive staff serve a bowl of chip n salsa soon as you sit. Have great fajitas. Bit pricey. Have 4.5.6 dollar tequila shots. Mexican theme. Nice family restaurant.

My husband ordered the vegetarian fajitas for two ($60+). First, he had to wait an additional 20 minutes from when they said it would be ready. Then he brings it home and there is one small portobello mushroom and a million onions. Not worth the money at all.

i ve been going to this location since it first opened and the past year or so it s really gone down hill. it used to be my go-to restaurant but i can t see myself going back anytime soon. the prices have risen, the portions are smaller, the food is worse, and the staff is horrible.

The food was absolutely horrible. Today was my anniversary and we decided to go there for the first time with friends . Honestly you want my opinion we had the worst food ever. Server was kind and respectful also the place was super beautiful and cozy but i am sorry the worst food you can have . Waste of money. Do not suggest unless something is changed . To the manager of the restaurant: you made 4 people on new years Day/ wedding anniversary very unhappy I truly hope you put yourself in our shoes when after a long time we decided to do lunch instead of breakfast. Very disappointing

I went on right before close on Friday night, Kash met is at the front and took care of my girlfriend and I. She recommended the spicy crispy chicken burger with curly fries and it was awesome! Ive been here many times and we plan on coming back again. They also extended their hours recently which is great!

Had a great experience! Great food and wonderful service. Staff were so kind and seemed to enjoy themselves while working. Cant go wrong with a margarita. They also have gluten friendly options which is great.

Had the steak, which was meh. Jalapeños dip was cold and chips very greasy. Server was not able to manage a large table. Not as good as it normally is. May have been a one off so will try again and then decide if I need to boycott!!!

Had the Chicken Chimichanga it it was absolutely awful. Someone else at the table had Fajitas which consisted of a chicken, a hint of peppers and a ton of sliced onions. Overall the food experience was not good. On the other hand the server was friendly. For what you pay, I cant recommend.

Really like Lone Star. Fajitas are amazing since they make the tortillas right there. Theyll even give you a raw ball of dough for kids to play with. Great servers too.

Fish tacos taste and chicken fajitas taste really good!Considering my husband is a very particular eater, he rated our food exceptionally good! Kid-friendliness: Coloring activities keep the children busy while waiting for our order. Dough putty makes them explore their creativity.

I would give this one star if it wasnt for the fantastic service from our waitress. The Food was absolutely terrible. 0.5/10. Yuck. Wings were raw, the chicken fingers came out dark as if the oil hadnt been changed and the fajita dish was a complete fail. Shrimp was sour and Ribs were burnt, how unappetizing. My 2 years old son was craving hamburger and fries and lets just say he only ate the fries and spit out the burger. Never going back.

Food was pretty good, I won t put that down. Service in the bar area was quite slow. I d advise you sit on the restaurant side and not the bar. Was definitely overpriced, feels like they gouge at every opportunity. $12 for a beer felt like I was at a baseball game. For their kids meals, portion size was very good for kids food but again $12 for chicken fingers and fries and then another $1 for a drink. To add guac to my fajitas was $3?!? Probably won t be back any time soon.

The service was nice and friendly. We were a larger group, but it was not busy. Anyone who ordered a steak had to send it back. Not once but twice. One person decided she lost her appetite it took so long. If you serve a steak, make sure someone is employed and knows how to cook it. Also. We were there for over 2 hours and were not even asked if we wanted refills on pop. Only the people buying alcohol were asked if they wanted another. That didnt sit well with me.

All was good havent been here in a long time but it was good they do look like theyre a little short-staffed and I was surprised no utensils are plates were on our table when the food arrived but they were quick to bring them same happened to the table beside us

I ordered take out this evening (July 3, 2023 at 8:40pm). I attended the front lobby and waited for 5-10 minutes, no staff members to be found anywhere, no one in the bar area. Ordered two nachos, three quesadillas which can to about $125.00!!! The nacho order was screwed up, I asked for no lettuce, no sauce and both nachos were covered in a mystery sauce and lettuce. I got a fajita kids meal instead of what I ordered a chicken quesadillas kids meal which was very poorly done. Food quality was low to average. Overpriced. Service very poor with the wait time and significant inaccuracy of my screwed up order. This was my favourite restaurant until tonight - wont be back. Check out the Beer House in the same plaza!

Awesome service. Citrus was our server and we were sitting on the patio. She provided us with the best service possible. However, the restaurant in general needs to keep their floors more clean as there are lots of food and crumbs on the floor. The foods was awesome too!

I dined at this location for dinner with a friend on July 2, 2023. It was not very busy at the restaurant. It was Margapalooza and we ordered sour gummy frozen margaritas which were quite good. I ordered Nashville chicken fajitas which were not bad. My friend ordered the portobello and halloumi cheese fajitas and the entree was terrible. The food on the cast iron skillet was cold. We waited a little while to see if our waitress would come to our table to ask if the food was fine, but no one returned. I went and found the waitress and told her one of the entrees was cold and she indicated that she would let the kitchen know. I went back to our table and we waited awhile. My friend then took her dish and found the waitress to inquire about her entree. The waitress advised that the kitchen was making her a new order. I am not sure why the waitress did not come back to our table to let us know this? The new order of portobello and halloumi fajitas was delivered to our table and the temperature was hot. However, there was barely any halloumi cheese or avocado compared to what the first order contained and the tops of the broccoli were black and charred. We advised the waitress of this and she removed the order from the bill While this was a good customer service gesture, unfortunately it ended up being a bad dining experience. My food was served hot and it was fine but my friends food was prepared twice. It was not prepared right both times. Neither my friend, not I will come back to this Lonestar location as it was a sub-par experience. Vegetarian options: Portobello and halloumi fajitas were terrible.

I went to Lone Star in Newmarket last night for a family bday dinner . Our server made several mistake when the first 3 of us arrived. And more mistake as the rest of the guest arrived also . She forgot several simple things with the first drink order . Straws for the margaritas, limes for another drink and water . Server insisted a drink be up sized even when one of my party said NO and again said NO THANK YOU . Server had to be reminded twice to bring water, straws and limes . Limes were brought and no straws or water. As food started to come to table by another server they had to be asked to bring the water ordered 20 minutes earlier. I ordered the Dos steak fajitas for the bday girl and myself to share the server was told this twice and had to be shown on menu what the order was. The sever claimed they had been there for 1 year and had no clue what beer they had in bottles for 2 of my guests $57.99 fajitas was served on a small single serving skillet. Less than 1 pound of meat was brought out for that double order . The $30 steak had more on plate than my order to share with bday girl . The manager was brought over and gave no real explanation for small portion . Before meal was completed server wanted to give us bill . No coffee or dessert offered . No apologies given for mistakes . Our 6 person order was $264 . Totally unimpressed with service and lack of professionalism also portion size . Music was way to loud causing everyone to almost have to yell order . As I tried to explain to server my issues she rudely kept interrupting me and I had to tell her to stop and listen. This is one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had anywhere. As a chef and former kitchen manager and server I would never have allowed a customer to leave upset !!!

There for my birthday with my sisters. Good service.Friendly staff. Steak was cooked to order and delicious. Ribs and wings was also very good. Would return.

The first time I ordered a quesadilla & it was pretty good. The second time I got a steak and it had gone bad. The waitress was very nice & the cook remade it and it was better but still not the best quality steak. I went again this weekend & it was terrible. Again, the waitress was very nice. I ordered the quesadilla with sweet potato fries. The quesadilla was okay but the sweet potato fries were very burnt. The waitress had them remade & they were less burnt but still tasted terrible. The oil they were using was clearly old. I only ate 5 fries & my girlfriend ate the rest but the oil was so bad that I felt sick for 24 hours. I have a stomach issue & normally have no issue with sweet potato fries but I almost had to miss work the next day. I normally dont leave bad reviews but I had heard such good things about this restaurant, I was very disappointed. Definitely not worth the price.

Honestly a near perfect experience. Servers were friendly and helpful. Chimichunga and fajitas filled me and my girlfriend up while tasting fresh and flavorful. Frozen margaritas were delicious too! Highly recommended

We have been in several times and had an excellent experience, the food is consistent and the staff is so considerate. We have had Wrangler as our server a few times and he was so excellent each time. Thank you for making us feel welcome when we come out to Lone Star!

Terrible food, bland, overpriced garbage. Server was nice but service itself was awful. Was dead yet took half hour for food and table was never cleared. Just terrible. Dont go here EVER

My pork ribs were served luke warm, the sides were hot. They offered me replacement ribs but it would take 10 to 12 minutes. I accepted and my guests at the table continued with their meals. My ribs arrived in 10 minutes but they were no hotter than the first batch. In the meantime the rest of my meal was cold. To their credit they offered to remove the meal from the bill. My guests enjoyed their meals but I went home hungry. Needless to say, a very disappointing evening. I wont be returning to Lone Star in East Gwillimbury.

I don t even know to start. We ve come here often, but this time around the experience was very bad. Let s start with the prices which had jacked up by a lot since the last time we came. It was about $25-$30 a plate. I got the top sirloin, which was pretty good, with a side of mashed potatoes which was good but not as hot as it could ve been. Believe it or not, the steak was cheaper than the Fajitas. My family however, got the fajitas, which not only got more expensive, but had lost some components (to have those, you now have to pay extra). Their sizzlers were not working, we were told, and the food was obviously not hot enough. By the second time making a fajita everything was cold. We were not told about the sizzlers when ordering or served. Only when we asked we were told. Onions and peppers were not cooked through. Tortillas were also disappointing. So sticky they would rip when pulled apart. Salsa wasn t very saucy. It was mostly tomato chunks. Service was okay. Our waiter was nice but the server covering her break was rude and dismissive. The manager was pleasant and did give us extra pairs of tortillas and a discount, to compensate for the poor experience. Not sure if we re coming back here ever again. My guess is most people must been having the same experience, as the place was pretty dead at 8pm on a Saturday night.

I ordered steak enchalas. Presentation was nice, however enchala had tiny little pieces of meat - definitely not worthy of a meal. I spoke to manager Stirling, she said that she couldnt do anything except give me a discount. I didnt have the meal I ordered in the picture. I wanted dinner, not a discount. This restaurant was empty. Now I understand why!

Good prices great food

Pretty decent restaurant, awesome staff, especially the host on the weekends. His costumer service is really good.

Service was not found. Sat at our table for 25 minutes, not one server came over to take our order even though the restaurant was 1/4 full. We left and went next door to beertown and was served immediately even though it was a packed house. Will never return to this lonestar location again.

Had lunch here, chicken fajitas and enchiladas were good. Service was good too. Took a while to get seated tho.

Came in for some nachos and drinks last night. Food is what you would expect, but the drinks and service were fantastic. Kash did a great job

Small portions, overpriced food, lacking flavour, churro greasy and tasted rancid could not eat it - had a burnt French fry in it. Fajitas meal for 2 people was $60 and was a 1 person portion. Grilled corn appetizer was $16 for 1 ear of corn. Everything tasted a bit off like cooked in bad oil. Ate here several years ago, loved it. Disappointed this time in the taste & food quality. No complaints about the service.

Food was delicious (it was a bit expensive) but worth it, our bartender Padre never ceases to surprise us with his service. Loved our drinks too. However, the floors need a bit of a sweep as there were crumbs under us.

10/10 staff, little to no wait for good quality steak and chips

Came a few weeks ago i believe my servers name was sangria she was one of the best servers ive ever had. She was very attentive and cheerful. I had the fish tacos they were ok but not worth the price.

Food was terrible. Calamari was tough, not chewy like it should be. The beans were baked beans with a little spice. The rice was tasteless and the burrito, which was not good t begin with was so hot I couldn t eat it. The waitress was very good but the food took a while considering there was no one else in the restaurant. The manager did comp me somewhat otherwise I would only give it one star

They have a large patio area here. Recently revisited here and had a great lunch and I tried Alligator tails, They were delicious. Food is just amazing. My husband and I got Chicken Wings and Garlic Shrimp Fajitas. Super delicious. We also got Fuzzy Peach Margaritas and Corona. One cool thing about this place is everyone who works here has a cool nickname, like our host hotsauce. The Manager of this place, Wyatt is such amazing person. Amazing atmosphere, fast service. If you are here looking for reviews, look no more my friend, 100% recommended place to have a fun evening with your friends and family.

Giving 3 stars because the bill was wrong and because they brought the wrong order on our table and they charged us for the was much difference what we have a just a $1 difference what we order price wise but overall we really enjoyed the food and our server was really nice.
