3030 Danforth Ave, East York, ON M4C 1N2, Canada
This is my number 1 foody place since I came in Canada. Apart from their mouthwatering food, they provide you very good service. Especially Samad bhai, Zillur bhai, Mahi and famous Apa they'll threat you as a family member.
Food tastes really good and authentic. We often go and order their goat kacchi biryani that comes with decent amount of meat. Also beef bihari kabab which tastes like deshi street (shikh) kabab in Dhaka. Note that this restaurant is a casual dining set with very reasonable prices and excellent service.
I recently visited Red Hot Tandoori, and I was very impressed with the quality of their products and the changes under the new management. The meats are always fresh, and the grocery section is well-stocked with essential items, including hard-to-find specialty products. The friendly and knowledgeable staff make the shopping experience pleasant, and the store's cleanliness and organization, particularly in the meat section, are commendable. Prices are reasonable, offering excellent value for money, with occasional discounts and promotions. Conveniently located with ample parking, it’s an easy stop for both quick and extensive shopping trips. Highly recommended for quality halal meat and groceries!
Food tastes really good. The wait period was not worth it. Loonnggggg wait time. Try the kachi biryani every Friday Saturday and Sunday.
One of the best bangali restaurant of this area. The food is very delicious and cheap prices. Best suggestion for newcomers.
I ordered one beef biriyani, it comes with an egg! But the thing is the egg was rock hard and frozen, and according to the rice portion beef was only 15%. And most of them had fat in it. Overall it wasn’t that bad. Maybe i will go and try something else .
The food is absolutely amazing. You'll get to taste authentic Bengali delicacies at a pretty reasonable price. I would highly recommend the Chicken Biryani, the taste is delicious and the portion is more than one could eat, you also get a boiled egg with the Biryani. The staff in the restaurant are extremely helpful and warm, you would feel like home.. in evening hours if you want to pickup food you can call and order beforehand so you don't need to wait longer.
Pretty decent place. We had the singara which was really flavourful and authentic; wasn’t a big fan of their pakoras though (i think a dipping sauce would really make it better). Overall great customer service, and great place for quick snack; will definitely go back for other items coz the menu looks really good.
Cheap tasty good
Authentic tasty friendly and good value
Taste foods. Clean kitchen atmosphere .
Food was fresh and taste as expected.
If you know what Peaju is and Singada/Samosa is, this place has amazing peaju and singada. The Kacchi Biriyanis also extremely good on the weekend. Very friendly owner and service. Highly recommended.
Just got food first time. Daal was all water yuck. Fish was gross and insanely salty
On Fridays and Saturdays I go to Red Hot Restaurant to eat Katchi Biryani. If you want to eat original kacchi, everyone should try this restaurants kacchi.
I really liked their Kacchi Biryani. It tastes like Dhakaiya Biryani. I would recommend highly about Red Hot foods and customer services.
We went to try the kachchi biriani (goat biriani) which is currently available only on Friday and Saturday and you have to call beforehand to ensure they are making a fresh batch. This is perhaps as authentic as you can get, so far away from Dhaka; flavor, tenderness of meat, generous quantity and all the good things you can imagine in a plate. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: The owners were very friendly to our kids.
The service is not good and the food is not very good
Mid afternoon, quiet. Delicious food!
Tried their Dhaka style Kacchi biryani ( goat biryani) and it was very tasty and authentic.
Yesterdays gathering at Red Hot for around 100 people was nothing short of fantastic. The food was exquisite, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended!
The samboosa 4 four dollar only one
Garbage i say.. . Bengali restaurants totally not up to the mark
A good little place for food for a very reasonable price. The service could be a little better.
I recently tried the kolija singara and filling was a letdown - it lacked flavor and inside potatoes were overcooked, oily and mushy For a snack thats usually a delight, this was a disappointing experience with costs..
Amazing food! Best samosa!!
Its bongoli not much to it.
If you want to try authentic Bangladeshi food this place is the best here in Toronto. The employees are so friendly as well.
Worst taste ever.
I never enjoyed such a good and testy mustard Hilsha fish. Also, my daughter loved chicken curry and birianni. Parking: Opposite side of the road you can park in the big free parking
Service is very bad. Food is very bad
This restaurant is not suitable for the customers rather this is for the suckers. This restaurant environment is not good enough. And the service is out of demand
Poor taste of food, bare minimum service. And the naan I ordered was just a pre-made naan you get in grocery stores. And don t even talk about Butter Chicken!!! Complete waste of money.
One of the best veg shingara in Danforth road
The interior gives off a very bangladesh restora vibe with water filled plastic jugs on every table. It is self serve. It took more than 20 minutes for our order to arrive. Naans are of decent size and taste. The paya and beef haleem tasted good but nothing noteworthy. Duck curry and khashi rezala were okay, not to die for. The main selling point I would say is their cheap pricing. Overall a 3 star for me.
Fresh and real test of food.
OK place for biryani at a good price...rest of the items are not that good
In Toronto there are many types of Bangladeshi Restaurant but this is the NO:1 Bangladeshi Restaurant in Toronto. Good Food, Good Environment, Friendly and Family atmosphere. At last I just can say one thing... GOOD FOOD, GOOD MOOD.
Very cordial service but food needs to be little improved.
The staffs are never attentive and food quality is just below average. However, their haleem is good.
Tasty chicken biriyani
Very good and taste food
Youll get all the Bangladeshi snacks here. Nice place to hangout with friends
Best bengali restaurant in TORONTO
Service and Food way below expected
Went here for lunch. The food was great. Rice, beef curry and daal (lentil soup) and a plate of beef tehari. Spices and chilly just right. I quite enjoyed the daal. Service took a while to prepare but it wasnt so bad. What I didnt like is they serve everything on cheap disposable plastic plates. If Im sitting down to eat in a restaurant I would expect to be served on proper plates and cutlery. It certainly takes away from the dining experience.
Must try out the chepa sutki bhorta, one of best chepa bhorta in canada i guess. Also beef khichuri was amazing with enough meat.
Nice place
Amazing khuchuri. Very friendly woman
BIG MISTAKE! Be careful while paying I only ordered chicken tandoori with nan which was $8 something and and one samosa on may 24 so my total may be somewhere $12 with tax I payed by debit they didn t gave me receipt. Today when I checked my transaction history I saw that they charged me they charged me double all over they char Me $21.45. I called them and now they re asking receipt which they haven t given to me.
Not so good ots just ok place for dinner
Our everyday go to place, serves best chicken biryani, beef tehri and tikka combo is amazing too, friendly staff feel like home
Called in half an hour ahead yesterday and when in reached my food wasn t ready and I was told to sit, after 20 minutes when I asked for it they said it was ready and just lying there getting cold and the staff started laughing don t know what they found funny in this. Biryani was dry and haleem was mediocre overall terrible experience
Service is terrible
Very Good
Excellent selection of Bangladeshi food
One of the best places I have tried food, really delicious and reasonably priced, I tried the fish fry and beef haleem and both are the best I have ever had till date in any restaurant this restaurant deserves more love, Jaz k All hu Khayran.
Banger food, amazing.
Terrible service and food. Never eat here. Unhygenic
Food was frozen and hard. Place is not clean at all.. Never eating here again Food
Service was slow and the food wasnt anything to write home about.
Its nice environment. Good items are available there of hslal food too. Kid-friendliness: Need more kidfriendlinesd. Food : 4/5 |
Sorry for the bad review from me. I ordered naan with beef curry the potion of the beef curry even not enough for 1 naan . I asked her she said people from their country they dont eat much curry but they pay for that.
I took my family out to eat and was amazed by their affordable pricing, delicious shingara, chicken rolls, tandoori chicken, and naan! The service was amazing and would definitely come again!!!
food was cold and taste was not good. told that to owner and he was rude and angry since i complained about the food.
cold food, told the owner, owner was rude .tried some biryani. gharoa nearby has better biryani
Good food and great pricing.
We ordered piyaju, keema poori, veg roll and cha. I must admit their piyaju is the best, its soo crispy. Overall its a good place for having snacks.
A good place for samosas. The veggie samosas I had were good. They were not oily, they were crispy, perfectly spiced and full of flavour. Id be back to try something else as this was just a snack to fill the void between meals.
Good Bengali good at decent prices. Recommended
Best food and Best service In Danforth Toronto
Good Deshi food.....!
they literally fry white rice in utrmeric and serve as biriyani.never ever going there again. such a waste
I was a fan of their Khichuri and spread the words to my close circle to try them on to have a deshi test. But for 2nd consecutive time, the taste and amount of beef in khichuri is so low that it kinda makes me liar to my close ones here. No gonna try it in near future. Complete wastage of money and appetite.
Another Bangladeshi Resturant...nothing really special to mention...
Great food and great service
Wow
This is a spacious restaurant with good sitting arrangements. I recently went to meet with a few friends during evening snack time and had some peyaju (onion pakoras), tea and samosas. The quality of food I had was good and the behavior of the restaurant staff was great as well. The place is clean well kept. Note that there is no parking for this restaurant, you need to find parking at nearby plaza or on the street.
Good taste
This food was for one person which was more than enough, spice combination was awesome. Lastly the food was less oily. I would recommend the chicken biriyani
Complete value for money, loved the taste, specially the snacks items, fresh and lumsum
Good food.
We waited over 2 hours patiently for biryani and it was still uncooked. For the money the quality went down!! Also, the owner was talking to this L guy and the guy seemed like giving a speech like Bengali politicians. It was not annoying. We told owner and the lady who was working there 3x if food was ready and after close to 1.5 reminder them we were waiting, they went to check and still forgot our orders. Then they gave us the wrong order and chicken biryani was chicken curry mixed with rice so awful and we were starving so ate and never going back! We are a regular customer, go there at least 2X a month. We will going to Adda at least the owner is available and service is amazing!! May be u guys can learn something about running the business from them! Parking: None, park across from them in the metro parking area
Too noisy
Perfect family run restaurant for affordable, tasty, and healthily prepared foods! The food is always made fresh to order (so be prepared to wait 15mins or so for your food), it s always spiced right and is cooked with love (trust me, you can taste it!). They never disappoint.
you want Bengali food? drop by here and youll feel like your mother is cooking your favourites! theyll take care of you
Good Bangladeshi food
Literally you will find the best Puri with Jhul just like You get in Bangladesh. The closest Bangladeshi taste I got in Toronto
I like the food very much. Good place to spend time with friends.
Need to be more fast
Ordered beef tehari. They warmed up old stale tehari and gave me that. By the time I drove back home it started to stink. I had to throw the whole thing away. The store is very dirty and ill-maintained. I went against my better judgement but never making that mistake again.
Ordered on the phone for take out last week. The food is very good and my family enjoyed. Although the service is extremely slow and portion sizes are way smaller than advertised, so inconveniently we had to grab more food after dinner.
Red Hot is Known for Bangladeshi food. Restaurant is cleaner compared to other Bangladeshi restaurants. Foods are also delicious.
Very friendly staffs and the food is so awesome
Very friendly & food are good & cheAp
Very good place to try haleem, puri and beef samosa!
Very lovely restaurant. I called ahead and was told my order would be ready in 10 mins. We got there 12 minutes later and it was ready truly. I ordered the goat curry and Palau(basmati rice). My friend saw how good it looked and placed an order for goat biryani. 10 mins later, her order was ready. We went home to eat and the food tasted absolutely amazing with very distinct taste of spices and flavours. When next I visit Scarborough, Ill be sure to buy again. The staff were professional, prompt and welcoming.
Delicious, traditional, Bangladeshi meals. Appetizers are also available in reasonable price.
A gem in the GTA. Great quality and taste. The smiling faces and the warm greetings of the owners will make anyones day great! Check them out!
Anyone who says anything bad about this place doesn t know anything about community or homemade quality. Never had a bad experience here and the people couldn t be more welcoming. I hope they are in our neighborhood for years to come.
Awesome place for the community with soo chip prizes!!!
Nice place, nice behaviour, so tasty food like at home
Yummy...
Very delicious food
Very well mannered owner. The mutton kachhi biryani is very tasty as are the kababs and daal puris. Awesome service oriented folks. Loved the experience.
This is the best place for the most authentic Bangladeshi food in Toronto. Forget Premium Sweets. I highly recommend this restaurant. Menu is attached.
Great food
Their food is always top notch and therefore bang for the buck!
Decent food, reasonable prices. Chicken Biryani bit dry (and less oily than others) -. The side lettuce cucumber adds a niche crunch and moisture. Large drumstick and back piece
Affortable yummy snacks
Felt like frozen food. Ordered butter chicken but It could be waaay lot batter.
Good for tea, snacks and hangout. Bad for any lunch or dinner plan.
Traditional Bangladeshi food ...
Different kinds of Bangladeshi snacks and foods are available here.
Excellent Service and Good staff.
I was really skeptical about this place when I first went it. There was this guy just standing behind the counter but he didnt even say hi or anything and I was turn off. But it seems that may be that man didnt work there or something and after like 5 min, another guy came out and he was super friendly. We paid for our food and me and my bf was thinking okay let see how the food turns out! Boy! The food was so good we cannot even complain at all. Tandoori was perfectly season and garlic naan is superb. Hands down amazing creamy butter chicken. It doesnt taste like store bought sauce which most indian restaurant sells. I definitely recommend this place!
Customer Service, Food, out side looking, one of the Centre of comunitie people Gathering, and so many things are very good....
Delicious food and service was good.
They didnt seem to have what was on the menu, and really a combo is just one piece of chicken and Naan...salad was a few lettuce
Biryani not tasty
Local food and tasty. Biriyani was very tasty. They are better than some of the posh places. Give them credit.
Couldn t bother to serve us food that was warm and washrooms cakes in mould.
Very good snacks such as daal puri, daaler bora, pani puri, etc. Clean place. Very good service.
Good place to hangout with authentic Bangladeshi food. Staff are very cooperative.
Excellent owner. He treat you like a VVIP. The place is neat and clean. Evening time always full house. Yammy food.
Great Bangladeshi foods!
OK.
Personally I didnt like it. I would not advise anyone to go to this resterant.
Great food!
I always stop by purchasing some food in here. I love the swift service and well prepared dishes. 5 stars.
Good Food samosa
Good deshi bangali food snacks place. Tried there jhal muri, shingara and peyaju. I think they also serve regular bangali food. Will try next time.
Food was late and self served for me but the table beside me had some community leaders so they got their food faster and served.
Piaju
One of the best khichuri in town. Its spicy & tasty, 9$ per serving. If you like too spicy, then try their Shutki vhorta. Beef is also yummy. Separate washroom for men and women. Another day, another good food. Its about Haleem, only 5$. So good, real BD taste. 3rd visit at Red hot tandoori, yummy Beef tehari with mustard oil which is BD special. Never tried their Chicken biriani though but will try next time for sure and will review that 6$ chicken biriani.
The tea was very nice , as well as the pakora
Nice location and delicious food with warm hospitality and pretty reasonable price
Great place for friends and family dine... I love the kababs ...
Tandoori chicken with sheikh Kagan was good
I had some bangali food after a long time and it was delicious. I recommended the place specially who loves spicy food and tea
Lamb is very tasty. Maam is freshly made.
Great.eatery joint
Poor service. They dont know how to behave with the customers and the quality of food is below average. I had a chance to have chicken briyani at this place, the experience is a worst one. Avoide this place. They also charge you too high. Overall a bad experience.
Very friendly environment. The food was very delicious and freshly prepared. Highly recommended
