The food is great; it takes me back to when I grew up in the area very authentic Greek food, and the price is good for the amount you get.

There is nothing to eat in this town except Greek food. Fresh, healthy, and delicious.

OUTSTANDING!! We had my daughters suprise Sweet 16 party this past weekend and catered from family owned Skara Greek Cuisine which is located in the heart of East York. The communication throughout the planning was excellent which makes a huge difference. We had ordered succulent souvlakia to rotisserie kountosouvli and what they are known for the best gyros, rice , roasted lemon potatoes and their refeshing village salad. Not only was the food beyond our expectations it was perfection in presentation!! We heard nothing but amazing feedback from our guests throughout the night. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. I would highly recommend them for any catering needs. Thanks again for making my daughters sweet 16 party even more special!!

Best Greek I ve had in 20 years , the freshness the flavours and the simplicity. It s old school flavour with perfect cooking , Chicken souvlaki amazing .potato perfect even the salad dressing and vegetables were like fresh picked , I highly recommend them , I also ordered the coconut shrimp . I gave them 4 stars because they tend to mess up my online orders (the past 5 at least), even though I make sure to include clear notes. If you order online, I would suggest checking your food to make sure everything looks right. Otherwise, great place!

I would also recommend your give the Club Gyro (Skepasti) a try...you wont be disappointed. Still the same friendly people, doing good got the community. Everything from the Pork and Chicken gyro, the Souvlaki sticks, the tzatziki was delicious and even the fries were so tasty. This is a good family-run resto. The staff is friendly and smile at you (imagine that lol!). They serve authentic gyro (chicken or pork). They also have the good gravy which is hard to find so next, I m trying the poutine. Plenty of parking and it s free after 18:00 (for now).

The souvlaki dinner is simply delicious. From the carefully-cooked and seasoned chicken to the sumptuous lemon potatoes. My wife also loves their LFG box and its a great place if you just need some tasty chicken to put on your salad. Staff are always polite and attentive. A neighbourhood gem!

One of my favorite local Greek spots. Quick and easy, serving delicious gyros at affordable prices. They pack those gyros full too with meat, sauces and fries. I definitely recommend coming here to grab a quick bite if youre craving a Greek gyro on a pita.

After many high recommendations by friends and family, we decided to try the much talked about gyro sandwich. We had the chicken and pork mix gyro on pita and it was delicious. The meat was juicy and well seasoned and a very generous portion. It is definitely the best gyros in the GTA.

Every time we order the same things happens. They say 20 mins until order is ready. Show up in 15 like today and they say 20 more mins. Order wasn t even started. No other orders. No one there. Greek good done bad.

Skaras has the best souvlaki! It s always cooked to perfection and flavourful. They have quality grilled meats and plentiful sides. Every time we have visited this restaurant we have had the friendliest service. Danny and his staff always make sure you are satisfied. You will not be disappointed after a meal at Skaras!

Love this place but the wait is absolutely ridiculous. Every time you place an order in advance you end up waiting an extra 30 minutes after the wait time they gave you. To not receive any form of compensation after standing in front of the staff for 30 minutes is horrible customer service.

Kontosvli dinner was delicious, the meat and vegetables are fresh. Chicken was perfectly battered and cooked. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely I will recommend and come back to this restaurant.

Been here twice , both times the food was fresh and good , service was friendly, placed look clean. My only negative comment is both times I was told order would be ready in 15 , for takeout, I would wait 20 to make sure ,as I always have kids with me ,so I like it to be ready so we can walk in grab and go , but each time they waited for me to enter before putting my gyros together and toke there time doing it. There was no one in the place nor were they busy with orders , just socializing and stock things. If Im ordering ahead and giving extra time for them , they should have my order ready to go or at least do it as quickly as possible.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered a chicken gyro PLATE. I got a TINY box of JUST chicken, no rice, no pita, no potatoes & when I questioned the worker she had attitude and told me that s what a plate is when it literally describes what a plate is on their site. Paid 13 dollars for chicken and a couple soggy tomatoes, unacceptable. Never going again

Went here for lunch with a good friend. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. We went around lunchtime so it was a little loud with the teenagers in getting their lunch. Once they left, it was nice and quiet to enjoy our meal. The staff was super friendly, and they made sure to clean and sanitize everything really well between guests. Highly recommend this place to satisfy your craving for Greek food!

They are alway late in preparing ghrir meals, at least 15-20 minutes

The cashier was very passive aggressive for some reason. We ordered first before a nice family behind us and for whatever reason, they received their order first, theirs was a bigger meal than ours, and we had only ordered 2 pita wraps.On top of it, I had ordered the wrap and did not ask for any ketchup and she smothered it in ketchup completely. Very rude condescending. Quite frankly a very bad experience for us. It s unfortunate that in our city today we still have such people working. I would like to say that it is probably racism but of course she would deny it.

My friend Eleni brought me here like 2 to 3 years ago and I had to come back, the food is simply so good, the staff are honestly so sweet and the place is clean and is so chill. The free wifi is also a plus, as well as the different drinks they have that are not the regular sodas , those are a must try! I had the cherry soda and loved it. Def a place to go no matter who u are. *their tzatziki is to die for*

Its not good. I come here because the children have a lot of food and dont eat much, so I order three servings to eat together. The number of times the meal is out... I want to eat and see how the four-star evaluation is. But the attitude of ordering makes the taste of the meal greatly reduced. I suspect that we only want to eat delicious food. My friends dare not sit at the table for fear that they will think that we are only displeased by ordering less food The meal is delicious...but the crust is burnt. The rice is delicious, like white rice with egg yolks. The meat is delicious, with a lemony sour taste. I feel a little better. In fact, the portion is enough for five children. The children cant finish it. There is no kindness, here because the children have a lot of food and don t eat much, so I ordered three portions to eat together. The number of meals is taken slowly... I want to eat and see how the four-star rating is~ But when ordering Our attitude made the meal tasteless. We suspected that we only wanted to eat delicious food. This made our friends afraid to sit at the table for fear that they would think we were unhappy because we only ordered a small meal. The waiting time for asking for an extra tableware is about 10 minutes~I was so busy that I forgot~The children sadly asked if they don t like children~ Let s wait for the meal and let s see how it goes~ The food is delicious...but the crust has a burnt smell. The rice is delicious, like white rice with egg yolk. The meat is delicious and has a special sour taste from lemon. I feel a little better. In fact, the portion size is enough for five children, and they cant finish it. The potatoes and salad were quite sour. After the meal, the service was a little bit better

Theres no way that this place will remain a hidden gem for long. As I said to the hubby as we were eating, finally have a place where the price matches the taste and quality.. And quantity and value, etc. Bonus points for being away from the Danforth - there is ample parking and not nearly as much traffic. Got the souvlaki chicken dinner and mixed dinner of the kontosouvli and chicken gyro. Meat was so tender and juicy and the rice and potatoes were so good too. No dried out pieces that have been left out all day. I love when the potatoes have a bit of tang of lemon and these guys do it perfectly. Cant to go back!.. As soon as we finish the leftovers :)

I ordered catering with Kathy and she was phenomenal. Kathy was friendly, had great suggestions and was very helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone at my party enjoyed it, and the price was very affordable. The party goers and I will definitely be ordering from them again great service, great food, great people.

I was looking for something out of my norm when I saw this restaurant. Theres a lot of street parking which allowed me to stop in otherwise I wouldve kept driving. When I got in, I heard a lady customer, talking to who I deduced was the owner (I could be wrong), raving about the unique drinks (colas and beers) they had. Apparently hardly anyone else sells it. But I was there to eat, so again, looking for something different I saw a sandwich that was a bit pricey, the Skara Club. I asked the owner how was it. He said Are you hungry? I said I could eat. Very friendly, he described what was in it and using two pitas saying a couple of times its a solid sandwich to which I couldnt have described it better. It was good eat, it was satisfying, and it was filling. I was not disappointed in paying the higher price. If Im in the area I would definitely check them again. Also, they had a bowl of snack size chocolate bars with a sign saying take one. I took two hoping they didnt notice. I didnt get kicked out so I think Im good.

Vegetarian options: First time going here, found them on Instagram. The food was amazing very clean atmosphere, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable with there food recommendations. The prices wasnt to bad for the quality of the food. Definitely will be dining there again. Kid-friendliness: For kids the Greek fries was recommended and my kids loved it. The flavors were not to harsh or tangy. My kids dont like salad but they devoured it in seconds the dressing was not too lemony or tangy.

Payed more than 60 for a family platter and they couldnt give me extra sauce on the side the service was not good the people have an attitude I would not come back the pork gyro was old and my mom was throwing up from it I called them multiple times no one answered I would avoid this place they shouldnt be serving such horrible old food to customers

Nov 17 23: 1:30pm 5min to start cooking our burgers. Burger finished cooking then they left sitting on grill for 10 minutes more. I had to go to counter and point to my burger burning on the grill that they are done! Im hungry. Please serve my food. Then took another 5-10min to serve 2 cooked cheese burgers and 1 plate of cold fries. Burgers are served BURNT and DRY. Fries served COLD and the second order of fries came LATE. Other people got their fries and food first. Dozen of other people in general served first. If... dont bother. They dont serve ppl from outside the neighborhood very kindly or in an equal manner of service. What a Horrible experience. What a waste of $30!!! My son did not want to finish his BURNT burger. Dry POS, I dont blame him. Horrible place.

Owners are not adhering to Covid protocols. Customer was standing in front of prep table (no separation shield), no mask on, talking away to owners. Also, when I offered to show my vaccination to sit inside, they said dont worry about it. Lastly, I was served a chicken giro where up to half the meet was charred black. Awful. Cant believe the preparer didnt think to cut away the charred pieces before serving. Never again. I really wanted to support his place, however, they have let me down multiple times in multiple fronts.

Ive been here few times and let me tell you why this is a 5 star greek restaurant without a doubt. 1. Clean 2. Lady make sure the order is accurate. 3. Organized menu. 4. Excellent tzaziki. 5.juicy tender chicken and pork. If you think this place is not 5 star you need to seek help.

I have never written a review for restaurants but this place really deserves it! The staff is really friendly and the food is great. I am a customer of theirs for about 5 months and i am very satisfied. In the beginning i was hesitant because there were a few bad reviews but from what i have experienced time and time again they are fake! My advice is to try it for yourself, dont rely only on reviews.

Phenomenal food. Came in randomly for dinner and got the mixed dinner plate. Huge portions, the chicken was juicy yet crispy, the pork was delectable. Absolutely coming back.

High quality food, good presentation. Staff felt very passive aggressive, serving multiple customers their order before mine despite mine being placed 3 orders earlier for just a gyro. Credit where credit is due the food was good and I m giving them the benefit of the doubt that the lady was grumpy that day or something. Cook was nice to me though.

When they opened this shop it was really ok. I just ordered souvlaki ang gyro from them, and in both the meat was barely cooked. Not to mention that there was mostly onions and potatoes and just small portion of meat inside. Not ordering here anymore.

Tip was added without my consent. I dont care about 2 bucks but it is not a good practice.

Disappointed with long wait for take out. We called in and ordered 3 chicken gyros and 1 chicken souvlaki and they quoted us 20 mins. Very simple order but it was 50 minutes to get the food and it was almost wrong to boot!!! On the phone they always warn you about the 20 minute cook time to cook to the souvlaki so why did we wait 50 mins ?! And it tasted very dry!! I m sorry no more

Delicious, authentic Greek flavours are something I dont take for granted. Skaras food is amazing! This was our second time eating from Skara, and both times have been a huge success. Previously we got takeout chicken and pork gyro plates, and tonight we got bifteki and chicken souvlaki dinners. They came with a generous Greek salad each, and a delicious salad dressing. I appreciate the care and quality this restaurant delivers.

First time here. We came for the after lunch rush as a group. The place was empty when we walked in. ATMOSPHERE: [3/5] Good looking place, but tables were left uncleaned with visible dirt on a few tables. FOOD: [TASTE 3?/5] Very Yummy, Good portions. We could not finish and packed stuff home. However we all felt very lethargic afterwards. We all come out from the restaurant feeling extra cold, difficulty staying awake for the rest of the afternoon. STAFFS/SERVICE: [1/5] (much improvement needed) The cashier was chit-chatting in a different language with the chef even though we were clearly in the middle of ordering. I was trying to speak to her, she continue to chat with her co-worker. No recommendations were given. We were not asked if we want rice or fries for some of the dishes we were allowed to pick between a few thing. We all ordered gyros because otherwise, well have to wait 20 min for souvlaki. We sat down to wait for our order. Then 3-4 clients came walked in after us. 1 out of 3 of our order came quickly, my friend got their salads, then we waited for a long time for the rest of my friends rice gyro and potatoes. In the meantime, the others 3-4 persons that came after us got their takeout, paid and left already. Probably 20 minutes the the rest of the gyro, rice and potato finally got scooped their food counter There was not apology for the wait. It was also very clear that one of us had already finish the food that was served 20 minutes ago Overall, the food was good, unsure why we were all lethargic even though none of us overate. Service was terrible when we went. Unsure if poor service is a norm, or rather that the staffs had a terrible lunch run and were just tired. We give this a try again if we have to.

My new favorite place for all greek food. I work down the street and can walk to grab lunch. I really enjoyed their chicken gyro on a pita, souvlaki dinner with rice and potatoes and their greek salad is one of the best with fresh ingredients. Last week I booked a private event for my engagement dinner. Everyone had an amazing time. I would highly recommend trying this place out!!

I came to Skara last Saturday for a small and intimate engagement party for my sister. We had the best time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing. We started with warm Pita bread and Greek dips, followed by a fresh Greek salad. The main course was chicken souvlaki with rice and potatoes. I ll start by saying I am not a fan of chicken souvlaki, but this was by far the best chicken I ve ever had. It was soft, juicy and the perfect portion size. We had so much food we barely made it to dessert. This is officially my go-to Greek restaurant from now on.

Went to Skara Greek Cuisine for the first time on Oct2 for a private event and what can I say. All the food was amazing!!! Very large portions of rice and potatoes and the chicken souvlaki was so tender and cooked to perfection. The staff and owners were so friendly and catered to all the guests like family. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend!

Great restaurant! The food and drinks are amazing. I had the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner and I loved it. This will definitely be one of my spots when I crave greek food.

The best gyro is the area, hands down. Plus, the burgers are super good.

I live in the O Connor and Coxwell neighborhood and this is my favourite go to restaurant for dinner. The owner and all the staff are amazing. They always go above and beyond with the service. My daughter loves their Greek salad with their homemade dressing. My favourite is the chicken souvlaki in a pita. The tzaziki is absolutely amazing.

Too over crowded during lunchtime and no one is there to control how many students enter at a time. Took takeout and asked for my gyro to be wrapped to be fresh when I eat it, I got a napkin wrapped around the gyro. Do not go during the week at lunch its a nightmare.

The food is excellent and the staff are absolutely amazing.

Not to be dramatic or anything but I havent been this happy with a vegetarian sandwich/ wrap in a few years. I can already tell I m going to have an addiction to this wrap, since I work nearby and it s so delicious and reasonably priced. Everything on the wrap was so fresh, healthy tasting and so satisfying with the perfect proportions from pita/ veggies/ fries and tzatziki. I m going fo come back again and again and bring my boyfriend and family too, they eat meat so they can try the whole menu which I bet is equally as amazing. I d give this place 10 stars if I could.

Great food for a great price - very nice staff

Very courteous and efficient staff. The lady at the front was very friendly and helpful. She was so quick in taking Oder. My food arrived in no time. Highly recommended. The gyro was also very tasty

A major disappointment I m sorry to say the Gyro had no taste and it was very very dry had decided to give this place a try cause coming from a restaurant family who have always had small business I like to support and this place was recommended I don t know if ownership has changed but if it has then you need to continue the way the business first started off. I don t intend to return.

Stopped here for dinner today. I ordered 2 pork gyros as 1 doesn t normally fill me. This place has massive portions and I could barely finish one! They were fantastic and tasted great!

AMAZING experience!! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome, friendly service and accommodating staff (Beth!). The food was incredible!! So fresh! So delicious! It was lovely to get out of the house and enjoy a meal around the table! We will definitely be back many more times (for both dining and take out!). 5 out of 5!!!!!
