Excellent reasonably priced food! Although I d like them to stay open later!

We LOVED it. so yummy. we ll be back for sure. it may be our new fav local Mexican restaurant. homemade salsas and sauces. nice & spicy the way we like it (varying levels of hotness, we like it HOT). chips & salsa are served while you wait. They dont nickel & dime you for extra salsa. very friendly staff & the owner/chef even came out to meet & check everything was good. Great service that makes you feel appreciated. Just an all round great experience. went back and found it closed.. sure hope it s temporary cuz we love this place. best mexican in the area. tried another up the street and didnt like them at all. please come back soon, we miss you

What a horrible customer service experience. Decided to call the O Connor location at 8pm as I would be in East York for 9:15pm. Website said they close at 10pm. The lady on the phone said sure come over from Whitby we will wait for you until 9:30pm. Arrived at 9:15pm and the lady said we are closed. I said I I called and drove over 1 hour from Whitby? She said sorry we are closed and it was 9:15pm only. The chef/owner walked out and yelled at the lady saying we are closed and then told me sorry we are closed now. Again I said I called and you said you would wait for me? Why tell me that and make me drive 1 hour then tell me to leave? Horrible customer service. I ate there once before and found the food extremely salty. But I wanted to give them one more chance as maybe it was a one off thing and maybe today the food would taste better. Also, I remembered the chef/owner from his Kennedy and Ellesmere location where I also ate once before. But today the chef/owner was grumpy and saltier than his chimichanga. I drove all the way from Whitby to their O Connor location and arrived at 9:15pm. The website and the lady on the phone said they will be open. They wasted my time and gas. Will never return to this location. I heard stories the wife was the mean one in their divorce and subsequent openings of their other franchises. But maybe the grumpy mean ex husband is equally to blame the way he acted tonight. No wonder the place was empty.

It s a very nice restaurant overall very clean and good ambiance overall. Food was good specially the portions were decent sized compared to the prices complimentary nachos was better than most restaurants who charge for the nachos .. But the best part was their behaviour and treatment of us I ordered an Horchata (mexican drink) which I generally like.. but may be because I am pregnant I somehow didn t enjoy it today so they noticed and brought us a complimentary dessert (Tres Leches) we were very touched by it obviously But then when we asked for the check they said they also are not charging us for the drink we were in shock to be honest not many restaurants will do that specially in Toronto They really are trying so hard to make their customers happy and satisfied going above and beyond We had a very pleasant experience

The food is amazing here! Queso fundido is a must have! The best guacamole ! Service is A+ The Gringo combo is great! Dont get me started on the Tres Leches cake! Yum!

I m not usually on this side of town and was pleasantly greeted by Carimi and Raul. The atmosphere is authentic and cozy. The food is delicious affordable and authentic. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for some delicious Mexican on the side of town.

I ordered birria tacos on Uber eats, and the menu said its 5 tacos in the order, but I only got 3. I called to let them know and the man who handled my call, told me it comes with 3. I had to pull up his own menu an tell him that it says 5 tacos. He said well we sent you salad rice and refried beans, I politely thanked him but explained that I didnt care for that side because I was looking for a large portion of tacos. He said well theres nothing I can do Im not sending you 2 tacos. How about next time you order Ill send you 5 tacos. I didnt have the energy to explain the nonsense behind his offer.

Met Raul and Aryanna that cooked us an authentic Mexican meal that was delicious and very affordable. I ll be going back for more soon. Thank you for the hospitality.

Best Mexican Restaurant in Toronto

This is one of our go to places for Mexican. Eat in or take out, the food is excellent. The staff and friendly and authentic. And, you cannot beat the value for what you get. I do enjoy these types of quaint restaurants so I m a bit biased. It s home style cooking at its best. Much of it from scratch. Their cake is a great finisher. My fav are the chorizo plates. My wife and daughter are big fans of the taco salad. They ve been hit likely hard by the endless construction on o conner making parking pretty much impossible recently. You can park on the side streets in the neighbourhood and do the short walk to reach it.

This is the best little secret! We love every dish that is served and the Diablo homemade hot sauce is delicious and can make you sweat a little bit. The family owners are super friendly and always ready to please. If you want delicious, authentic Mexican food that is reasonably priced, you wont be disappointed here! Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant! Booth seating or tables & chairs, great selections on the menu for everyone to enjoy.

The only authentic Mexican place Ive been to in Toronto. Ive been looking for a place like this for 7 years now. Highly recommend the taco special, $10 for 3 and a pop. (Salsa Verde was amazing, Salsa Roja was pretty bad tbh)

Got horrible food poisoning immediately after eating their burrito del mar. Definitely from rancid shrimps. Food poisoning aside, everything else I got was not very good. Burrito was extremely salty. Horchata was also extremely sweet and practically inedible. This is coming from someone who loves sugar too. Don t understand the high ratings. Definitely do not recommend. Please don t cut corners with seafood, I wouldn t wish rancid seafood induced food poisoning on my worst enemy.

Best Mex, best price, best service...

What a wonderful experience we had! Great food and service! The chef was really nice and came to meet us in the end. If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to visit. Good size portions of food and delicious nachos! We also got complimentary Guacamole and chips from the chef. The Guacamole was delicious, freshly made and served in mortar and pestle. I would highly recommend this place.

Goodness sakes this place is good! Fiancée and I have been all over the world, and this authentic Mexico place hits the spot. Guac dip was phenomenal, we got a few of their main menu items and will be back for more once our stomach s have space! Even their dessert which we struggled to finish due to lack of real estate in our stomachs was amazing. Can t speak enough about this place. Just amazing.

Found this gem in the neighbourhood. Absolutely incredible Mexican food! The owners/waiters were very nice. The food was SO delicious and huge portions. We received a complimentary guac & chips and tres leches cake. The guac was fresh and every dish was packed with flavour. 10/10 would recommend!

We came here for lunch to celebrate a birthday; party of 5. Great food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. This is a family owned/run restaurant, so they take pride in everything they do. We had the guacamole and the fajitas, followed by tres leche. All excellent. Highly recommended

Everything was so good! It was so cozy, and the place was very cute. The food was really good and filling. The complimentary nachos and cake were amazing, I will even drive back just for the cake. All in all, we ll be coming back, PS ITS HALAL!!!

Authentic spot with great food and drinks.

We went there today for dine order starter appetizer guacamole which smells bad specially the chips came with it cold and old smells very bad, we didn t even eat neither order any food, spoke with the owner start misbehaving shouting, realize came at the wrong place, paid for the food didn t even ate. He is scammer scamming people. I don t advice anyone to waste there money on the food like this. It s not worth it.

Best halal food in town

One of my favourite places to get take out. I always get the Vegetarian Enchiladas. Comes with rice, beans and salad.

I cant recommend this place enough! Amazing service, and great value for money. I always get the Gringo - comes with enchilladas, burrito, chimichanga, and side of refried beans and salad! If you come in a large group, you also get complimentary nachos and sometimes tres leche depending on their availability as they run out cos tres leche is so good and extremely popular! Family owned business, with friendly staff. If youre looking for a mexican spot that is more local and authentic, this is it!

There are more than a couple of Mexican spots near Mexico Lindo. But this is our local favourite! Get yourself some gauc. With fresh made chips. Don t forget to Add Side of a margarita bulldog slushy! My go to entree is the gringo - 2 beef one chicken along with a side of rice n beans and salad to boot. My kiddo is crazy about the Molettes ( think garlic bread with refried beans and diced tomatoes) it s honestly incredible. Most nights the nice server will treat us to a yummy tres leches on the house. Overall just consistently a memorable meal at a cozy local family run spot. Can t go wrong!

Extremely welcoming and friendly staff, excellent food, and great value. We had the fish tacos, the Al Pastor tacos, nachos and guac, and will go back to slowly eat everything else on the list now! Strongly recommend, and in my opinion, best Mexican in the neighborhood!

We went for our date night tonight and the food was very flavorful and absolutely delicious. We definitely will go back. The sauces were so good and the tamales... Service was amazing as well between the waitress and owner coming up and talking to us and giving great suggestions.

Had to park on the north side of OConnor. Aluminum and white foam dishes with clear lids so easy recycling. Happy with our supper. Mexico Lindo will likely become our go-to.

I ve been here a few times now and I cannot recommend it enough!! The seafood dishes is to die for and the service is both incredibly and extremely friendly!! If you have the chance and love Mexican food, definitely come check this place out!

Such a cozy little place for a date night. The owner is awesome not only because they gave us complementary house special nachos and dessert but also very mindful about what the customers need. Portions are big too so maybe consider sharing the combos. And they are halal too ! Definitely recommend this place.

Great Mexican restaurant! Finding a low key spot with delicious dishes at a reasonable price is a hard thing to do these days this place checks off all 3. The waitress is very friendly and has brought us chips and dip, nachos or cake on the house. We always leave satisfied and full. Highly recommend the mojitos. Thanks for the great times.

This is probably the best Mexican Restaurant I have experienced in the city. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a very charming and helpful man who seated us and told us about their specialties. The complimentary nachos are perfect. I ordered a green sauce chicken Enchilada and it was the best one Ive ever eaten in Toronto. I had two Tecates, and at the end of our meal I was gifted a shot of tequila out of a tiny cowboy boot, which was a nice touch. Wonderful people, delicious food, authentic atmosphere: an absolute MUST TRY!

This is like a small part of Mexico within Toronto. The people running the restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. The food is awesome and in decent proportions. Also the chicken and beef are halal so it is a must for any Muslims who want to experience Mexican cuisine.

This restaurant made me feel like I was back on vacation. The service wasnt the typical good service, it was good service with a soul. The owners are amazing and will make you feel happy to spend your money there.

We were delighted by a nachos starter on the house! Everything we ordered was delicious. I thought my partner had mentioned it was my birthday when we were also served complimentary dessert (he hadnt told them!). I had a fantastic birthday dinner.

We had the fajitas for 2, which I can recommend, tho the portion might be a bit small for sharing for some. They offered us a trilece on the house which was delicious. 4 stars as we did have some unpleasant experience regarding serving (which is why they offered us the dessert on the house I guess)..

A real hidden treasure! Decor is so cute and very Mexican themed. Loved all the cool little cultural things around! Food was FABULOUS!! its so hard to find good Mexican and this tastes like a place I visited when I visited Mexico years ago. I regret not taking pictures but we were hungry!! We got the nachos app, chicken tacos, extra side of rice and the chicken burrito. I have a dairy allergy and my family doesnt and they accommodated SO perfectly! The server checked with me if it was ok to put dairy on half the nachos/not in my dish and I was grateful to be accommodated. It was delish!!!! The server gave us a slice of a flan (I think) with chocolate on it that she made herself!! It was so good my mom bought one from her. Thanks for such great food! We really enjoyed it

Hidden gem of a place! Food was fresh and authentic- the chimichangas and burritos were delicious. We also tried the Pina coladas which Id definitely recommend, it tasted like they used fresh coconut. Service was excellent and they threw in an order of nachos on the house for us too!

I ve heard a lot of people rave about this place so I placed an order on my order I requested no rice, no coriander & no peppers due to an allergy & guess what they included all of them so needless to say, I m disappointed & wont ever be ordering from their again & suggest that if you have allergies or preferences, to not order food from these guys as they don t listen

Love this place! Wonderful, local restaurant with a nice front patio. Food is fabulous, especially the Pollo con Mole. Their Margaritas also come highly recommended.

Not even near to authentic Mexican food, food is not fresh, the ingredients feel like from a can, the red rice is instant cook rice. And nothin is spicy. The service is not good either. So don t expend your money there, not worthy.

I would not recommend this place for any vegetarians. Ordered veggie quesadilla and nacho fiesta and it was filled with WARM cucumbers and broccoli. I was so surprised to see this and it tasted so bad. Who in the world puts huge chunks of cucumbers and broccoli?! They werent even finely diced. So DISSAPOINTING.

You know that feeling when you go to your friends place and their mom and dad feed you this authentic delicious home style but restaurant quality meal, well that s what I had here. So much love and care goes into the service this restaurant provides. I love this place so much I don t want to tell people about it because then it ll be too busy to go myself lol. They don t try to be too fancy and break your bank, they give you a huge portion of delicious food for a fair price (they could probably charge even more) and you leave feeling full and satisfied. But wait there s more! They topped it off with this soft creamy piece of cake that s glazed with chocolate and vanilla sauce, I was so full but how do you say no to kindness and generosity, you don t. I meant to take photos of my meal but not at it so fast I forgot haha next time.

Very good portions in their dishes, excellent service, the pastel de leches for dessert and the carnitas with a very authentic flavor. We will be back to try the shrimp soon.

Ordered burrito, they gave me without wraping a paper , as soon as I try to eat it it fall apart, its taste less, they dont ask you which saus, which veggie they are putting in it. Better to go to mucho burrito

The food and experience was absolutely fantastic. Food is Halal so a must try for Muslims. Tried the Grindo platter, huge portions and very delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in Toronto

Found this gem with a simple google search. Easy access, small but big enough to seat larger groups, great service. We got there maybe 30min before closing and we re graciously accommodated. The food is perfectly portioned, seasoned and presented. Also, it s halal! I mention that in passing because I m a vegetarian but it s a huge plus! Very nice owner and included chips to the chimichanga. This place is the closest to the delicious food Ive had in Mexico city. Even my cat could smell how good the food was.

Pazole was bland. 10$ for water with a little chicken flavor. Enchiladas had a decent tortilla. Fluffy and flavorful. However, the sauce and cheese were almost non existent. Filling was mediocre at best. Not to sound pretentious but I lived in Mexico for 3 years and its amazing what passes for mexican food these days. Not sure if its cost cutting or staffing issues but will never go again. Not sure what all the rave is about. If this is passable as mexican food then power to you guys

Great tasting food but I ve been disappointed several times when they are closed, despite their listed business hours; unprofessional.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been. Customer service 10/10, food 15/10 and overall satisfaction 100/10. The owners were very nice l, gave us free nachos and tres leches cake. The food is so so so so delicious and filling and the portions were perfect along with the prices. The pina colada and the mojito is very good. I will definitely visit again (: 10/10 Definitely would recommend!

A very familiar place, the food is very good.

We were in the area so we decided to try this Mexican place. It was really good. Inexpensive and with large portions. My son keeps asking us if we can go back. It s a bit far from where we live but we ll definitely go back whenever we re in the area.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I got delivery for a burrito was tiny, the chicken was tasteless and looked like boiled chicken, the salsa tasted like canned tomato. This is definitely not authentic Mexican food and I probably could have cooked something better. The only good thing is that the takeout container can be reused. You are better off going to chipotle.

Love this place! I ate here probably at least 30 times by now (NOT exaggerating!). Everyone I introduced this place to absolutely loves it as well. The food is all great, very authentic food, reasonably priced, the owner is so kind and they have a special hot sauce (their orange habanero hot sauce) that just makes everything taste even better! Totally recommend to anyone in Toronto!
