Good cafe to go to while waiting for an appointment. Food is very homestyle and reasonably priced.
Such a great place extremely friendly service. I had the jerk chicken and they let me change the rice to salad at no extra cost. I got two types of salad, the pasta salad, and their taboule. Both were amazing and the chicken was extremely juicy seasoned to perfection and the sauce that came on top of it was amazing. Also great portion!
A truly hidden gem of the East York restaurant landscape. I couldn't recommend eating here more highly. Lovely patio as well.

Unfortunately this is one place in this area where u can have a cup of dripped coffee and tasty breakfast 9-4pm!! Atmosphere amazing like “grandma cafeteria” i will definitely come back!! 💪
I did not give these 5 stars lightly. The lady that served me was incredibly sweet! So refreshing early morning. I had a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese and she came to check up on me when I mentioned I've got some dietary restrictions. If you're in the building or just around the block and hungry, go eat here. Won't be disappointed.
Across from the East York Hospital (Michael Garron Hospital) and a block from the East York Civic Centre, I wish this humble little gem the best success. Great food, hot items (meat lasagna looks home-made oozing with gooey deliciousness!), sandwiches and an interesting selection of not your typical gourmet salads. I had the portobello sandwich, a breaded mushroom cutlet, special sauce on toasted bread - AMAZING! Bright spot with comfortable seating.
Stopped in and had lunch here. Enjoyed a Toasted Western sandwich on brown bread. Very Tasty. Friendly attentive service too. I will be back.

This hidden gem on Coxwell is a blessing! I work nearby, and although I dont visit as often as Id like, whenever I do, the service is top notch and the food always hits the spot. Huge thanks to the staff for their consistency. If youre ever in the area and feeling hungry, you wont regret stopping in at the Apple Cafe & Diner!
Needed a coffee! They were closed at 4, i came at 4:30 and the nice lady was kind enough to still serve me. Good service
I just had one of the most delicious and unexpensive meals that I ever had in Toronto in this hidden place, located right in front of Michael Garron Hospital. I had the roasted butternut squash with two salads. Each single bite was unbelievably good. As this a small business, they do not accept credit cards. But you can pay with debit or cash.
Friendly staff and good atmosphere. They have a very interesting menu with good variety. We had a good time. Will visit again.
Vegetarian options: I ate a spinach and cheese quiche. Delicious. Kid-friendliness: Bright and sunny patio outside and restaurant is spacious.

Hands down the best restaurant for high quality food within a 10km radius of the hospital. All their food is organic, hand made and healthy. But also so good, you just keep coming for more!

I worked in the same building as Apple Cafe and just loved their food! Especially their lasagne, western sandwich, burger and those assorted salads were my pick me ups. Also they are all so lovely!

The food is absolutely amazing, home cooking and fresh salad with organic ingredients very delicious. everything we Tasted melted in our mouth. Simply put this is one of the best Cafes in Toronto. The food selection and taste is amazing; the food it tastes like homemade cooking. They have a unique menu with variety of tasty and healthy options. The coffee is superb. The staff are kind and very friendly. I look forward to my doctors appointment. Sometimes I just go there and order food for the night. Once you try this place you understand what quality food tastes like.

Been here many times...everytime I visit my doctors office, in fact. Rude service. And the food sucks. I asked if they took debit because all I needed was a bottle of water. She said yes grabbed the debit machine and my debit and tapped it for me. I am not ok with that because she didnt mention the total to me. And my concern is, she could enter any amount up to 100$ and pocket 98$ if you dont pay attention. Her recation to me telling her she cant do that was incredible. I dont know if you have a debit fee when you complete the transaction for me...you cant do that.
