Please don t buy out lamb rosh and chaple kabab from here, The lamb rosh taste like sour soup (yakhne) just waste my money for nothing chaple kakob was full of spices doesn t taste like real Àfgh ñi chaple kabob. Chef is pakistani he doesn t know how to cook Àfgh ñi Rosh and chaple kabob. Don t wast your money here for the food you will regret it

The pictures and menu are all fake. When asked about the food, they only offered roti. It was so rude. They dont even have any bakery items. When I asked for a menu, she told me to go and check online.

The bakery is fine and the bread is good, but the front of house cashier its both disrespectful and unhygienic. We ordered two pieces of bread. She proceeds to grab the bread with her bare hands after handling cash, after we bring up the fact that its unhygienic and that she should wear gloves, she becomes incredibly disrespectful giving us the side eye and even dropping the bag of bread before I could grab it. I wont be coming back

Tried an order of Chapli Kabab and Chicken Karahi today. Went back for a second order immediately. Haven t eaten good authentic food this good in a while. Reminded me of my mothers cooking. This place also makes really good Naan bread. Took a few home as a test batch and my family loved it. It is a traditional bakery so there aren t any tables to sit down and eat at. It s a takeout restaurant. But definitely worth the try at least once.

The Chicken Karahi was absolutely delicious and just the right amount of spice. The bread was freshly made right there and was also amazing. I was very impressed with this dish and with the friendly service. We were able to sample the dish before we purchased.

Second time. I came back for a Karahi Chicken and again amazing. Real authentic and reminds me when I first had chicken Karahi very first time. They make the authentic way!! Amazing bread too and good people. This will my go to spot. If they had a some sitting spots that would have been awesome place for a sit in meal

Best Afghan naan in Toronto but super expensive

Worst experience, time of closing is 9:00pm but the place is empty with no food and naan on Saturday 3 hours b4 closing ,very unprofessional and not clean,their advertisements not true!,

I came to try out since I saw them in blogTO when I arrived at 830 the girl at the front said they are closed... But in the back the most likely the owner and couple of his best friends 4 to 5 eating as shown on the pictures below while a couple of customers were walking away... Even though on Google maps and on the door it says they close at 9...

Chicken karahi is chicken cooked in blend tomato paste. However their Naan s are really good and fresh. Thank you for your response, update my reviews.

This place has a variety of delicious types of baked bread which include barbary, sangak and taftoon. They taste best with homemade food. And its freshly baked every day which is amazing! Definitely recommend it! Clean, free parking, helpful customer service.

I would really recommend their bread. Its fresh. It is utterly butterly delicious. It fresh from oven and you can literally see them making right infront of you. The biryani is good too. On the whole the price is very affordable too. The only issue with this they dont have dine. They treat their customers with very polite and humble manner.

Guys, your Chapli Kabab are the best in town. I found them better than Bamiyan and Afghan Cuisine. Naans are superb as well. I found the Kabab to be spicy (contrary to being a Pakistani I eat mild). Please let me know if we can request a mild spice level.

The fresh baked bread is amazing! $2/bread. Soft with a little bit of chew. Perfect for nihari/paya. I buy the bread and keep it in freezer AND it is just fresh after putting it in toaster oven for 3mins!

Quality bread, fresh and well-textured.

Got Karahi chicken, chicken biriyani and Naan. The food was too oily and very basic. No salt no flavour, the biriyani was just oily rice and they billed us for 2 big Naans instead of 1. They gave us 2 big Naans but we didn t need it, it was a lot for us. Okay for a one time try but we won t go again. The food is not even worth 2 stars.

I fell in love with this afghan restaurant. Food is perfect. The size of portions are really good. the guy who brought the food for us was so nice and I asked him if I could have a little of stew.he gave me a bowl of stew . Its a take out restaurants. Great customer service, offers authentic taste of an array of Afghan foods The bread sold here is a Pilar of Afghan culture and has been present for countless centuries in Afghanistan and the rest of Central Asia, it is unfair for some Iranian individuals, to leave unfair and spiteful reviews because they believe sangak bread is exclusive to them. Furthermore the kind of Karahi, Capli kebab etc. you will be served here is the authentic Afghan style which predates the one later on introduced in Peshawar and further popularized in Pakistan. Once again it is unfair and negatively effects an honest business when people are leaving false negative reviews because they believe certain foods to be exclusive to their country.

Best Chapli kabab in GTA but you need to keep the standard same. I first tried that in Jan bought a couple for tasting & ends up arguing at home who will eat it as it was amazing. Your place is about 60km away from my home but I bought plenty back in Feb with same great taste. However the last one we bought on March 8 the taste is not the same more like that of Bamiyan (which is ok but not great). Please keep the original recipe..

The bread here is so fresh and delicious!! Such a hidden gem! And the employee I met was super sweet , I asked if the bread was $2 casually however it was more but because of my error in words he still honored it and wouldnt take more than $2. Thats real good customer service !!

Every thing is good but was very disappointed when I took the jalaybee box yesterday Monday it was not fresh and very soogeey, this is second time I took it first time was good fresh and crunchy but 2 time not good at all.

The bread is soooooooo good and so fresh. It s a small store with takeout only. We got the bread with flaxseed and oh my God it is so good. You can also cut it up and freeze it and then pop it in the toaster when you want it. I highly recommend

Ordered some naan and lamb karahi recently. Naan is clearly their specialty - it was fresh and tasty and many customers had lined up to purchase it which is an attestation to its quality and value. While flavorful, the portion of the lamb karahi was shockingly small for the price especially for the area and a quarter of what I thought was meat was just fat. Theres better value for Afghan food in the plaza alone. In terms of hygiene, its concerning that the person handling cash is also packaging the naan and while I was there I didnt see any use of gloves, handwashing or sanitizer.

I bought a chicken biriyani today. The rice and chicken was stale and smelly when I opened it at home for dinner. I think they give me left out from yesterday. I had to throw it out in garbage. I bought another rice from the other Afghan restaurant also at same time but it was good and $3 cheaper also. This is my third time (and last too) in mama restaurant but earlier it was good.

I cannot believe they have been in town and I missed it. Best bread you can get in the city. Fresh and delicious. They are very friendly too. Thanks for the service.

Worst chapli kabab ever I had in my life .I ordered 2 orders of Chapli kabab and waited more then 20 mins thinking I will get a fresh and good food which I ended up throwing in the garbage it was hard as hell and burned couldn t even take the 2nd bite .I wanted to return the rest of chapli kabab but couldn t get a chance to go but I went the next to tell the person the food was awful and made my sister sick he responded back very rudely and said u have to bring me bck the food and show me .I am very disappointed will never buy food from here again.

Boolani is worse: add some quality you are ruining the Afghan foods specialities. I bought their Boolani it had nothing inside it. They fries some Chapati.. I wonder they eat the same at their home. This is Canada just add ingredients and charge is more. Potato is cheap in Canada. Smell: There is body odour and sweaty smells. My suggestion: - shower and wear deodorants - wash your apron and cooking or backing cloths after each shift

Got chicken drum for $13.99 plus tax and I get three small pieces of chicken!! Why do you charge this much for not an even half of chicken breast quantity?

Mama bakery has amazing fresh afghan bread. You cant pass by it without stepping inside. They also serve yummy curries and soup. The owner and everyone here are very kind and friendly. I highly recommend going to this family run business!

Great Sangak bread, but they dont have it every day, so call and ask. Their barbarry and lavash is great and they have whole wheat options too. Saves me from going all the way to North York for Persian bread.
