We’re very happy to launch our new venue in Morningside on Thursday 3rd October 2024. We’ll be serving all the same delicious dishes as our flagship cafe in Blackfriars street with a few extra special items just for our new venture. Our regular favourites include a mighty full breakfast, veggie breakfast, eggs benedict or smoked cod, chorizo and potato hash with a poached egg. We also love lighter options like a buttery breakfast bap or our porridge cooked to order with a selection of seasonal toppings and toasted nuts. All to be enjoyed with expertly crafted coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Wow wow wow… I think I just had the best breakfast of my life so far. I love breakfast, always have, eaten breakfast all over the world… but damn I just finished a plate of eggs benny that continued to blow my mind with every single bite. You can tell it was made with love. The whole staff are gems, we’ll definitely be back.
I found out Edinburgh Larder had opened another place locally and was so excited to try it out. I ordered the waffles with ginger cream, apple and walnut crumble. Absolutely delicious and exactly what I needed... Service was lovely and it had a calm and friendly vibe. Happy it's here in Morningside 😊 would definitely recommend coming, especially to try if you're local.
Stopped in past the Edinburgh Larder Morningside for some lunch earlier today. A thoroughly enjoyable experience all round. Excellent food, the staff were very friendly and it has a nice vibe. I went for the seasonal veg sandwich with a bowl of homemade lentil soup on the side. Also had a turmeric latte to top off the lunch. Very impressed and I’ll definitely be returning to sample more of the menu - might be a new favourite local spot!
The Lader is easily one of the best cafes in Edinburgh! The food was absolutely delicious, as was the coffee. The staff were so lovely and friendly, and also so knowledgeable about the local produce and ingredients used in the food. A wonderful atmosphere and I will definitely be coming back!! Highly highly recommend 10/10
Fabulous Friday brunch in recently opened Morningside branch of Edinburgh Larder, Waffles with Spiced Apple and Gingerbread Cream was great, although should have added the crispy bacon 🥓 as my wife did! We will be back, possibly for the live acoustic music and drinks, super friendly manager and nice buzz about the place
I enjoyed the full Scottish breakfast at The Larder, and it was amazing! The black pudding, sausage, and eggs were cooked perfectly, and everything was fresh and very flavourful. The portion size was generous, and the cozy atmosphere with friendly staff made the experience even better. Definitely recommend for a hearty and satisfying meal!
We had a lovey lunch at the larder! The staff were very welcoming and helpful! We had the hash and a full Scottish and both were delightful, the homemade beans were a standout as well as the delicious sauce that comes along side the hash. Thank you to Harriet, Karina and butters for answering all our questions. The gluten free brownie and the coffees were also super delicious! We will be back :)
Had a lovely brunch of waffles with gingerbread cream, roasted apples, and bacon along with an iced dirty chai. Staff were lovely and accomodating of allergies. The venue was bright, airy, and clean. Would definitely recommend this place!
Absolutely delicious, best haggis and black pudding ever, and delicious sandwiches. You will leave wanting nothing else but their recipes.
SPOTLESS and truly attentive service. Options for everyone and you can tell the kitchen truly care about food. Cant wait to come back. Would like to specially mention the woman who served us, karina, for making us feel so welcome. 10/10
We came in for lunch on a Saturday with two kids and a pram and the staff was beyond accommodating. It was really refreshing to feel so welcomed with kids and then sit down for GREAT food. Big thanks to the staff.
Amazing experience
Amazing! Service was so good, friendly smiley staff. Coffee was really good too, lovely latte art. Would 100% come back.
Lovely cosy cafe, We found on our trip to Edinburgh. Super friendly staff.
Best brunch I ve had in Edinburgh in forever. I had Eggs Royale (Smoked Trout, poached Eggs and Hollandaise, with Brown toast). So, so good. Great coffee too. The service was friendly and engaging without being over the top. Would strongly recommend to anyone.
We were all really happy with our lunches. We can highly recommend the ham and (2) cheese toastie, eggs benedict (which was available all day) and the smoked trout sandwhich (my own, which was delicious). My oat latte was exactly how I like it, and the selection of soft drinks was interesting enough for older teenagers. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere very chilled. I will definitely be back... and will remember photos next time!
Visited the central Larder and hoped we d enjoy our Morningside experience just as much. We did. Warm, light and super food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to our children. We ll be back
Possibly the best eggs Benedict we ever had
Lovely atmosphere with really friendly staff and delicious food! Waffles were a great portion and the perfect treat
Amazing local produce - really lovely staff, great coffee, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
Amazing food, coffee and vibes generally!
Went in for breakfast and it hit the spot with the scottish breakfast. I love that its all locally sourced, and the staff were really friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a breakfast/brunch spot, or even just a coffee catch up.
Really good service. Food was served quickly and was really delicious. Would come again!
