366 Morningside Rd, Edinburgh EH10 4QN, United Kingdom
Fresh & exceptional Falafel. Homemade Lebanese cuisine. Veggie & vegan, 366 Morningside Road, Edinburgh.
it is enough to come here just for the friendliness of the owners, but luckily the food is incredible too. This meal took me right back to when I worked in Saudi and Qatar, but was possibly even better! The mixed bean / foul was amazing, and after one bite had to order a hummus to go as well :) the falafel are cooked to perfection with so much flavour and the vegan baklava hit the spot too. Wish I could eat here every day!! Highly recommend this place.
A must have and must try in Edinburgh! The food here is just amazing Mr.Naseer is such a sweet person . It’s rare to see a vegan veg Lebanese cafe with this variety of food and taste. Will be back very soon ❤️
I was intrigued by the 4.9 review rating and decided to check out this place to see what makes it so outstanding. What I discovered was a very simple establishment offering a variety of Lebanese food. What truly sets it apart, though, is the friendliness of the owner and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Make sure to try their vegan Baklaway (Thumbs up)
Everything we ordered was amazing, taste of falafel reminded me of home Palestine . Tabbouleh and Batata harra were really good . I use to take pictures of food before eating but not this time I was really hungry and really enjoyed. I highly recommend this nice place and really kind owner
Small but lovely cafe serving excellent Lebanese food, including delicious Falafel wraps, hummus (of course), and sweet treats like Baklava. Very friendly service. Highly recommended!
I absolutely love hummus, falafel and general levantine cuisine. I've tried it in many places around the world, and this spot is definitely in my top 5. The service was lovely, with the person at the counter helping me fully through my decision, as I ordered the large mezze box. Their baba ganoush is one of the most flavoursome I've had (reminds me of my mum's cooking!). I strongly recommend it, along with the vine leaf rolls (sarmale as we call them in Romania), and the batata harra (spiced roasted potatoes). The hummus is a bit tangy for my taste, but works really well when mixed in with the baba ganoush and eaten along the lentil bake or the spinach pasty. My only recommendation would be adding something with a spicy kick to it!
Easily the best falafel I’ve ever had and I’ve tried them near and far on this place we call Earth. Made in authentic Lebanese style by an incredibly kind human being that makes you immediately feel warm and welcome. Honestly, a chunk of falafel hit the floor and I wasn’t having it! Had to pick it up (5 second rule doesn’t even apply because the place is so clean) We also enjoyed lovely coffee and Baklava which was as a treat as you’d imagine with those window views.
Amazing place! Everything was delicious! So many great vegan options and generous portion sizes, all for a really reasonable price. The owner is lovely, really friendly guy who is clearly very passionate about his food. We were really pleased to see the compostable takeaway packaging too. Will definitely come back if we're ever in Edinburgh again!
Brilliant wee cafe with the best Levantine food youre likely to find just about anywhere, and fantastic friendly service. Worth a detour.
All these 5 star reviews are well deserved. A pleasure to visit.
Lovely place with a very friendly owner. I really enjoyed the wrap I had, it was very tasty and fresh. The atmosphere is very friendly and I enjoyed hearing about the music. I will definitely be visiting again. Vegetarian options: All of the savory dishes are vegan apart from the halloumi. There were also some very nice looking desserts.
Fantastic food Fantastic service Food
Best Lebanese food i ve had and the people were very friendly! I really recommend this place! Thank you :)
Cozy Mara Restaurant has a Lebanese owner who works there with his son. They asked us for the tastiest free fries, beans, falafel sandwiches and tea. May God make them happy. I advise you on it.
Delicious food and a very welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing
Love this place - fantastic food and super friendly staff. Good value and very tasty, very highly recommended.
Hands down the best falafel place in Edinburgh. If i could go everyday i would. Entirely vegetarian menu, with other things on offer as a cold or warm mezze; including mousaka, green beans, lentil pies and other delicious things. The falafel is really good quality, crispy on the outside but warm, moist and flavourful on the inside. The hummus is really good quality as well. Though the drinks are a bit more pricey, if its your first time I d recommend the lemon and lavender kombucha (or the black cherry). Reese and his family are so lovely and welcoming, too. Would really recommend
Beautiful cozy atmosphere, welcoming and knowledgeable service, some of the best falafel wraps weve had and delicious vegan desserts, highly recommend
From a vegan Aussie guy visiting Edinburgh. This place is a gem and a must try. Ive had a lot of falafel wraps in the world and this was a surprise contender for top spot in the world for me. Everything about it from the thin, soft bread used to the perfect amount of sauce and succulent falafel balls, were to die for. Not to mention the desserts they have....wow. This place stole my heart as far as food went in Edi. Thank you team.
Best falafel wraps in town. Get the baba ganoush as well
Fantastic people, amazing place and delicious food
Absolutely delicious food, we loved the cosy atmosphere when we walked in. It definitely felt like it was a family run place, we had the halloumi and hummus wraps and a mezze box. Omg it was pure heaven! The service was excellent, the owner was so lovely and answered all our questions since two of us were sugar free. Couldnt fault anything about our experience, its the best Lebanese food weve tasted, we will definitely be back and bringing more friends in tow! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!
Such delicious fresh food! Great value for money and the staff are always so lovely!
Delicious food and wonderful service. A real gem.
Fantastic tasty and healthy food.
Great food, nice people
Amazing food and a great little gem of a place in Morningside! The wraps and mezze boxes are the most delicious middle eastern food I have ever had. And the baklava is to die for! Highly highly recommend!
If you want some five star Lebanese cuisine you need to try this place out. I dont even know where to begin: the gentleman that ran the kitchen and served us was impeccable, the food tastes exactly like my mothers home cooking (shes also Lebanese), the atmosphere was great. Ill be going back lots as long as Im in Edinburgh. Thank you for the great experience!!!!!!
I have taken deliveries twice and both times food was amazing!
Super place, amazingly fresh ingredients and well put together and served with a cheeky smile. Highly recommend!!
What an amazing place for fresh and healthy food. I just popped by and got a falafel and potato wrap. It was absolutely incredible. I ve eaten a lot of falafel and this has to be the best I ve had in Edinburgh and some of the best I ve had in the world. Fresh, flavoursome and moreish! I also had a piece of the baklava and I kid you not, it s probably the best baklava I ve ever had. The syrup was amazing and the filo was so crunchy. So yummy. I also give a bonus point for the welcoming atmosphere! Lovely owners!
The food and service are absolutely fantastic! Extensive, entirely vegan menu with gluten free options available. Friendly and warm staff top off the experience. The only reason for not full five starts was that the seating is VERY limited. Vegetarian options: Entire menu is vegan Dietary restrictions: Vegan
This was simply an incredible falafel experience.
So fresh and friendly
Incredible food and Lebanese culture with plenty of vegan gluten free options. Their fattoush is the best salad in town! Dietary restrictions: Great for vegan gluten free options
Incredible food!
Class scran.
Oh how I love Hummus. Easily the best falafel in Edinburgh. Vegetarian options: Im vegan and the variety of choice is great! Food : 5/5 |
Was recommended to try this place and certainly was not disappointed, absolutely delicious. Will certainly be back. Food
Honestly the best falafel Ive had in the UK. Handmade and cooked in front of you. Amazing salads. Food made with love! Great chat too.
Great food :) highly recommend
Most amazing falafel ever!! Fresh & delicious highly recommended.
Amazing best food ever! it was all over my face loved it kept ordering more
It was my second time there and I can confirm its my favourite wrap in Edinburgh. It tastes fresh and delicious. I got a falafel wrap with extra baba ganoush and it was delicious. Also it is vegan which is even better. Vegetarian options: Also a lot of vegan options.
amazing vegan food and super nice staff
Amazing Falafel, we often walk from Leith for our fix. Great food, place snd really friendly happy staff. Thanks
Solid gold. But like the carpenters cup... beautifully thought out dishes, served with care and well priced. Thanks guys
Hummus is a hidden gem for lovers of Middle Eastern cuisine. The hummus, foul, and falafel are simply exceptional, bursting with authentic flavors. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make dining here a delightful experience. Dont miss out on this culinary treasure!
Hummus is a delightful find for enthusiasts of Middle Eastern flavors. Their hummus, foul, and falafel stand out with their authentic taste and exceptional quality. Coupled with the inviting ambiance and hospitable staff, dining here is an absolute joy. Be sure not to overlook this amazing restaurant
Fantastically tasty and fresh falafel! It was obvious that people knew what they were coming for. Hummus must have a lot of regular guests because there was constant rotation. A must have:-)
The best falafel wraps in Edinburgh! It s an amazing find and we would definitely be back for more!
Phenomenal food and brilliant service, definitely a contender for best café in Edinburgh
Amazing food and lovely customer service! A great please to go!
This place is absolute class. Beautiful flavourful authentic food served by really friendly guys. I make a detour to go past when Im in town.
The shop might be small but it is absolutely brilliant. My mum and I went for lunch and it completely blew our socks off, excellent variety and the owners were very chatty and friendly. My mum said it was the best lunch she had had in ages.
Amazing food and service as always!!! Highly recommended Food
Highly recommended from a working collegue, visited today for the first time, such a wee gem in a city filled with corporations everywhere this is a family owned indipendent business the owner was so chatty and nice, cant recommend enough!!! Five stars
This place is a neighborhood gem. Morningside s best kept secret. The food is incredible, every dish tastes like a home-cooked meal. Lebanese with extensive vegan options. Almost entirely plant-based. The staff and lovely, welcoming, and create a warm atmosphere. What s most under-appreciated and slept on about hummus is the COFFEE! Reasonable prices for great coffee in a neighborhood with plenty of good options. This is my go-to spot for lunch or a coffee as a local.
Absolutely fantastic food. The Baba Ghanoush is extremely tasty, best Ive had. Lentil soup is very delicious also. Cosy, welcoming and warm cafe that I cant wait to return to again. Highly recommended. 10/10
The best Lebanese restaurant ever I went to Lebanon and the taste of this restaurant is way better. Pleased to meet the amazing owner and his lovely family. The interior design and the space is what make the place really delightful and refreshing
The best flafel in Edinburgh undoubtedly xxxxxx
I am so glad I stumbled upon Hummus. The food was so fresh and unbelievably delicious. Ive kind of gotten bored with vegan options (Ive been vegan for many years) but here I felt excited to try everything and truly enjoyed everything I ordered. The service was so lovely, too. Felt so welcomed and looked after!
It is so lovely to come in and get amazing Lebanese food. Staff is always so friendly and chatty and we always taste something new. The portions are very generous and food is super yummy and healthy. We always look forward to coming back. Grazie mille
Delicious, travel from the other side of town to visit. Really lovely people and delicious food!
Very good. The wrap with falafel is delicious. The moussaka is also a 10/10.
Everything is delicious and the staff are lovely. I hope to come back on my next visit to Edinburgh!
Excellent food, freshly made. I am very much a repeat customer .
Best falafel wrap I ve had in my life. My partner and I have come here at least twice a week every week since moving to the UK and I think we genuinely had withdrawals over the Christmas/New Year shutdown. Service is always so lovely. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
Thats no lentil soup
Absolutely delicious food. Super nice owner. A dream find!
I always get the falafel wraps and it is just amazing. From the bread to the proper fresh falafels that are fried fresh in front of you, all the spices and flavours Im sure respects where it is from. Gives you authentic Lebanese taste. People there are kind and make your food with love. Just as you expect from a family-run place. You will not be disappointed.
Friendly owner with the most delicious food! We were lucky to visit this shop, we had a feeling that we are with our mums eating at home, thank you for the great hospitality!
Great tasty new types of food I never tried before
I cant stress enough how great this place is. Amazing food and service! I absolutely love it.
Must try the baklava sweet. The most delicious I ve ever tasted. Definitely worth the visit
Home
Absolutely the BEST falafel & baba wrap ive ever had. The pickles and chilli sauce were just enough to add the piquancy to the falafels, and they were phenomenal. I had the half I couldnt finish, cold for breakfast! Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum
Best falafel wrap I ve had in my life
Great place! Friendly owner! Yummy food with great gluten free and vegan options :-)
I cannot recommend enough this place. The food is delicious and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I have an allergy and they managed it extraordinarily well. If its your first time I recommend the mix box and dont forget the awesome baklavas for desert.
We moved to Morningside, purposely close to Hummus Incredibly tasty!! Food
Amazing food and such friendly staff! Really keep us going for shows, performances, classes and our private functions. Healthy food, made with love. The owners are just THE BEST!! Genuinely lovely. We have sampled pretty much everything and recommend absolutely all of it can t go wrong. Best food in Edinburgh. :) Vegetarian options: It s all veggie and mainly vegan awesome! Dietary restrictions: Good for vegans and veggies and very easy going for allergies too, they ate really caring.
Everything was fantastic! Excellent food, super nice service, cozy atmosphere.. highly highly recommended !
Got a takeaway falafel wrap with baba ghanoush and it was seriously good, would recommend.
I *always* feel better after eating at this place .. If you Iive in the Morningside/Brunsfield/Marchmont neighborhoods and struggle with overpriced boring toasties and average tasteless soups for lunch options like I did, well search and struggle no more! In fact I dare anyone in edinburgh to find a better sandwich or deal than their falafel wrap?! If you are not feeling up for the best sandwich of your life, then try their selection of amazing homemade Lebanese mezze. Their baklava is also the real deal and they can throw down a good coffee/flat white too. Did I mention this place is family owned, and very family friendly? This hidden gem has it ALL. Vegetarian options: So many options! Vegan too Kid-friendliness: They always do their best to accommodate families
Amazing food, the service was exquisite!
Lovely place, best falafel in Edinburgh!
Charming little place, family run, delicious food, great vibe, always good
We were in the area and needed feeding. My wife found Hummus in a Google search and Im so glad she did. Im not the most varied eater but the owner took his time with me, asking questions and making suggestions. His suggestion hit the spot and I left with a full belly. Would give 6 stars if I could
Food is always Fresh and fantastic here. Nutritious, friendly and helpful staff. Mostly Vegan.
Just had some tasty vegan soup and my friend has vegan bake. Both super tasty and good value
Its literally the best wee coffee/lunch place in Morningside area. Wonderful food, with such a friendly service. Just love it!
Truly delicious food, best falafel I ever had. Vegetarian options: Lots of options, all very tasty. Food : 5/5 |
This family-run shop has a friendly atmosphere and delicious food (truly no wrong choices). They make the most of their cozy space. Best falafel we ve ever had! Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegan aside from a couple dishes with halloumi!
Beautiful food, fresh, lovingly prepared and cooked. The owner has brought his own family recipes from Lebanon to Scotland and his family must be proud. Edinburgh has been treated to great Middle Eastern food. It was my first time today with my girlfriend eating there - in the words of Arnie: Ill be back! Vegetarian options: Its all vegetarian and vegan. Perfect for vegetarians and all eaters!
Really delicious and authentic food cooked and served by the hospitable owner. Absolutely recommend and will be back!
So good! Not cheap but Im sure their overheads are high given the location. Definitely the best lunch Ive had in Morningside!
One of the best falafel warp I ever had it in Edinburgh
This is my far MY FAVOURITE SPOT in Edinburgh. The food here is DELICIOUS, it is very fresh authentic lebenese food. Falafels, hummus, cauliflower, patata haras, tabbouleh, fattoush to name but a few. Reece, the regular chef and man running the show, is very friendly and keen to provide food that will cater to your tastes whilst educating you about the Lebenese cuisine. Every meal here be it takeaway or sit in feels like returning to an old friend. Thanks Reece and the team at Hummus for being a highlight of my 3 years in Edinburgh.
What a find! The food was incredible. A unique family run little place. Lots of options and flavours to enjoy. Absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.
I have worked in Lebanese restaurant before and had Humus in different places and the Humus here is so authentic and tastes soo good and different here i think this is the best place to have Authentic falafel and Humus.
I enjoyed breakfast with my family and the owner of the restaurant and his son were very nice. Thank you for the delicious food
Absolutely love this place. The food is so authentic and delicious. Can t walk past the place and not get enticed in with the aromas
Great small family run place with fantastic wraps. It has never disappointed.
Great falafel wraps!
Very tasty and fresh food. My first try and just love it!
Really good food! Extremely fresh and tasty. The service was quick, helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a quick but hearty meal
The best fava beans and falafel in Edinburgh...the food is delicious and clean and the service is excellent
It has simply the tastiest, most flavoursome Falafel wrap in town, period
This is a great little place to get food. My boyfriend recently discovered falafels whilst on holiday and has become a bit obsessed. He has been on a mission to find falafels as good as the ones we had on holiday, and this place wins hands down. The best place to get falafels in Edinburgh. I had the falafel salad and it was the best salad I ve had in my life. The people working there were very friendly. They clearly put a lot of love into the food they make. They only have a couple of tables and most people I saw there were getting food to take away. A fabulous place. I ll be a regular there from now on.
my friend and i each had the mezze box. it was terrific! the staff were super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu! 10/10 we will be back
One of the best falafel I ve ate ever
Fresh delicious vegan food) Arabic style food. Stuff always smiles and kind
One of the best meals we ve had during our month in the UK! The space may appear small from the outside, but you will receive a warm welcome from the owners that prepare this wonderful and flavourful food! Vegetarian options: If you re undecided about all the wonderful options, let the owners choose - you will not be disappointed!
The place is amazing, the food is authentic and homemade and the handsome young owner is a pleasure to talk to. Support your local business! I will come here at least once a week from now, to the day I die.
Very nice falafel wrap to go
Probably the best falafel in Scotland, France and Navarre!
Simple, we go every week for the amazing, fresh food and the fun chat. A brilliant place. Highly recommend it if/when youre in Morningside.
Best falafel wrap in all the lands. Super healthy and delicious. Wrap is lite and fresh, flavours are world class. Nicest family owned business around. Highly underrated gem in Edinburgh.
Fantastic! One of the best wraps I have ever had - simple but delicious. The staff were lovely and it clearly is a well loved place in the community. I will definitely be returning to try everything else!
The best place for lunch! Can t beat their falafel wraps! Not to mention all wonderful baklava. You ll always get a friendly welcome too! Vegetarian options: All options for vegetarians and lots for vegans Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options
This is without doubt the best wee cafe/restaurant in Edinburgh. Consistently delicious food, exceptional falafel, wonderful baklava and great coffee to boot. Generous portions too. Fresh ingredients and sustainable packaging. A fantastic little business, and the family that run it are great too.
Best cafe in Morningside/Edinburgh - most incredible fresh falafel!
Amazing food and people!
The perfect spot for a fresh and delicious lunch. Falafel wraps are amazing and it s run by lovely people who take great pride in the quality of their ingredients. Highly recommended
everything is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend the falafel wrap. the owner is super nice as well- I always enjoy stopping in!
Delicious falafel wrap today with a decent amount of filling freshly prepared, its a quaint wee place with lovely staff.
had an absolutely delicious falafel wrap here for lunch today, and a lovely chat with helpful staff. i ll definitely be back! thank you :)
My favourite restaurant and place to go for a good company in whole Edinburgh! Recently discovered it, the staff is super kind and friendly plus the food...IS JUST SOOOOO DELICIOUS! How do you do it? ( ) When you go to a restaurant and you eat even just a salad you feel that the food has a restaurant aftertaste. BUT NOT HERE! The meals they make have such authentic taste as your home made dish BUT the problem is that your home made one doesnt get even just a little bit close to the Hummus taste. EXCELLENT, will visit you every once in a while for sure! ( )
Just discovered this little cafe on the way back from a long walk. Picked up the Lebanese Lentil and Spring Green soup to go (in environmentally friendly packaging) and my goodness was it tasty. Will definitely be returning to sample some more of their lovely looking food.
Just discovered this gem today. Enjoyed a great falafel wrap made by owner Reece. Refreshingly passionate guy, family ran business, amazing freshly made food. I cannot rate this place highly enough.
I love this restaurant. Very small, but excellent food. My favourite is the mixed bean breakfast. Charming and engaging owner, great service, great chat. Why go anywhere else?
Amazing Falafel
I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Part Lebanese, part Scottish; this family business is made with love, like their delicious homemade lebanese food. The bean breakfast is my favourite for any time of day, although if I cant sit in then a mezze box to go. The falafel is next level. The only problem is wanting everything. The vegan baklawa and mums own-recipe apple cake are the ultimate sweet treats. 11/10
It was a lovely small authentic breakfast/lunch Lebanese with a Scottish twist cafe We had two falafel wraps one with baba ganush and the other hummus sauce, fatoush salad, vine leaves, tea and baklava They deserve more than 5* as they were very welcoming and served great food! Will defo be back. P.s. the food pics was too late most was already digesting inside.
Flawless home-cooked Lebanese cuisine! Over 200 reviews and a solid 5 stars is testament. Warm, friendly and quick service by Reese. Everything we tasted was delicious and healthy, options to take away too. Looking for excuses to come back soon!
This may actually low key be the best restaurant in Edinburgh... The moussaka has me going back for more every time and the falafels are to die for! They deserve all the hype they get!
Amazing little place with delicious authentic food and lovely service
Absolutely gorgeous wee place. The smells as you pass are what initially pull you in the door and the amazing food is what will keep bringing you back We loved the falafel wraps with the baba ghanoush and also the fried aubergine wrap with baba ghanoush, also the moussaka was so delicious. Such a lovely friendly wee place, cant wait for our next trip to Edinburgh yo try
Lovely little Lebanese cafe, had a very nice falafel wrap and Tubule Salad.
This is the best place - the best falafel, the best foul and simply great choices of menu. My top spot in Morningside
Went for lunch this Thursday, sooo delicious, ultra fresh ingredients ( made fresh daily ) great choices, I had the hummus it was the best I ve ever tasted! The tabouleh excellent and green lentils mmmhmmm. Honestly wanted to try everything, will just have to go back and back and back. It s run with passion and love, can t recommend it enough.
The food and service are both equally incredible. A new favourite. Fresh and utterly packed with fantastic flavours. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Just tried Hummus on Morningside Road. Im kicking myself that I have not been in sooner. Everything was so delicious. All homemade beautiful food. I will be back for sure. Reasonably priced and very friendly staff.
One of the best falafel wraps in Edinburgh!
This place is amazing! They do delicious hummus/falafal/baba-ganoush wraps and loads of other tasty dishes. The owners are very friendly and genuine too.
Beautiful little Lebanese cafe. We tried loads of dishes and it was all amazing. The coffee and falafel were both great and there was a potato dish I ve forgotten the name of that was one of the best things I ve ever tasted. Really friendly, a lovely little neighbourhood place. I can t wait to go back!
This place is awesome! The food is truly delicious, really nice authentic vibe, the owner is so friendly and passionate about his food. Cant recommend highly enough!
Nice food, friendly staff :) thanks!
Absolutely fantastic, authentic Lebanese food! Every single thing Reese recommended was fantastic from the freshly made falafel to the baba ganoush and batata harra(spicy Lebanese potatoes). Will definitely be returning many many many times in the future.
Authentic, delicious, healthy and nutritious food in a friendly and warm space. Mostly vegan and the best food Ive eaten for ages. Well worth travelling the distance from Musselburgh in the future. Thank you Hummus
Best falafel Ive ever had, highly recommend the soup as well. All round amazing food and service from this place
Amazing wee cafe, great food, lots of flavour, and if you dont know what to choose, the owners will definitely help you out or offer their recommandations. The owners are so kind and take great care of their customer!
The food was incredible. The staff are lovely. The prices are affordable. I got the falafel wrap with hummus and mezze - the falafel s are made fresh. My mouth is watering thinking of it. The lentils were tasty, the batatas were pretty good (I d go for moussaka next time instead) and the ghanoush was incredible. However, the highlight by far was the baklava. The sweetness mixed with the butter melting in your mouth was incredible. This was probably the best dessert I ve had in my life. I also tried the maamoul. There were 2 types, date and pistachio - I preferred the pistachio. They were tasty but no match compared to the baklava. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, it has a cosy vibe to it and Reese is a sound, humble human being. It was a pleasure to meet him and eat his DELICIOUS food. Thank you
Words cannot express hummus I loved this cafe! I visited for lunch with 6 friends a few weeks ago, and was treated to an amazing spread by the owner and his family. Not knowing much about Lebanese food we gave the staff free rein to provide food for us all. We were treated to a fantastic assortment of dishes, dips, and bread to share, every bit of which was completely delicious. My favourite was the baba ganoush which was so smokey and flavourful, and the falafel which was herby and zingy, but chatting over our feast each one of my friends had a different fave. The cafe was super cosy and the staff were a delight, we had a wonderful lunch and will definitely be back again.
Absolutely delicious and the best staff. The first time I ordered they recommended the falafel wrap and it was super tasty and really filling. After that Ive had quite a few of their other dishes and I have to say I love their lentil bake!!. The food is really fresh, good produce and cooked as you would do at home (at least if you are from a mediterranean country like me!). To be fair, a big part of the charm of this place is their staff, always smiling and making sure you get the best service. A must for any vegan/vegetarian visitors of the Morningside Area.
What a little gem! The owner is Lebanese and very welcoming. As a Lebanese it felt like a piece from home. Very tiny place yet full of fresh tasty Lebanese Mezza and fresh made Falafels, even better than the ones that you get in Beirut. The babaghanoush is to die for! Thank you, you made our day! If ever again in Edinburgh we would return for sure.
Lovely falafel wrap, with mezza on the side. Server was very helpful with food recommendations. We will be back. Delicious!
Absolutely amazing food!! The falafel wrap is superbly delicious and staff are incredibly friendly. Most certainly the best place in Morningside for lunch or takeaway food and will always recommend going here to friends and family. The interior is fab, decent prices and i cannot wait to go again soon!!
Love it!
One of the best vegan places food wise in Morningside. A bit small, so a better choice for Monday mornings, small companies, or takeaway. Vegetarian options: All is vegan with a few exceptions Dietary restrictions: All is vegan with a few exceptions
Simply, my favourite place in Edinburgh for a snack. Beautiful food ever single time!
This is absolutely my favourite place to go in the whole of Edinburgh! Really friendly staff and amazing food!
Everything about this place is nice, the staff was so friendly and welcoming and the food was so delicious! Ive tried the falafel platter with Baba ghanouj, tabouleh and mousaka, and it was absolutely worth every penny! Im so glad Ive found this place. If youre in town for a lovely authentic Lebanese food, then you must try this place. Would 100% recommend!!
Amazing fresh food with reasonable price, i will be regular customer.
Stepping into Hummus felt like being back home in my family s kitchen. Reese and his family are not only welcoming but constantly treat you with a generous smile. The falafel sandwich took me back home to Lebanon, accompanied by a delicious symphony of Baba Ghannouj, pickles, tahini and a spicy sauce. The Batata Harra is a must try, it s even better in a wrap with some of the store s namesake Hummus. I ll definitely be coming back for some delicious home food when I m in Edinburgh again :)!
Best wrap in town! Thanks
The place looks tiny and can occupy only 8 people inside and maybe 4 outside. The staff was welcoming. The Foul was great, delicious, and I cant remember I had a such delicious Foul before. The falafel were fantastic, well cooked. We had humus and Baba Ganosh and both were above excellent. The tea pot was tasty. The children got free olive. It is really worth eating. Deserves 5 stars
I loved this little place. I couldnt try all the food they offer but will come and try more options next time. I will bring my friends here too :)
Best falafel I ve ever had, best Lebanese food, best wraps to take away, best everything. Me and my partner eat here regularly and we can t get enough. Truly a gem in Edinburgh.
Yum! Really excellent falafel (and Im picky about falafel) and the folk who run the place are good, warm people.
By far the best falafel wraps weve ever had! Such a lovely environment as well. Shame you cant spot this place very easily as it is a bit small. Im definitely coming again! Cant even describe the flavours..they burst in your mouth leaving you in heaven. 10 stars from me!
Amazing customer service.
An amazing place and the one of the best Falafel I have ever had. Amazing wraps, salads & soups with loads of vegan options. Reese and his entire staff is very warm and welcoming. This is my go to place in Edinburgh
Fabulous recommendations from the staff and one of the freshest tastiest falafel wraps ever. Go!
Gorgeous & fresh combo. Would recommend the mezza box.
My favourite place to eat in Edinburgh. I ve been coming to Hummus almost every week since it first opened and I have literally never stopped being amazed by the quality of the food. Everything is delicious and prepared in store by the lovely family, with care and uncompromising standards. The ingredients are traditional and high quality and the company in the shop is always a pleasure. It is an absolute credit to the community, full of regulars all the time. A must visit spot to eat!! Get the falafels, by far the best I ve ever had!
Freshly made falafel wraps are delicious. Espresso was the best Ive had in a while.
Tasty and good value, friendly owner. Small inside but very good food. Oh and Vegetarian/Vegan if that matters.
Delightful place with a super friendly owner. Dog friendly, with a fresh bowl of water brought outside after a long walk up the Braid.
no better Lebanese food than this, i love this place! lovely fresh food, lovely staff/ owners, lovely clean restaurant with great decorations
Tiny cafe and takeaway in Morningside with the most friendly welcome and lovely food. We simply asked to be guided on our lunch and we werent disappointed. Interesting options and definitely not your usual run off the mill cafe... Highly recommended
Delicious falafel, such a friendly owner and a lovely atmosphere, a gorgeous spot
Amazing! Very friendly owner, the food was delicious and portions were extremely generous for an affordable price. Thank you very much, we will come back again soon :-)

One of if not the best baclavas in Edinburgh!.
A small, local business with delicious food, served by friendly faces. Amazing! A hidden gem near the bottom of Morningside with lots of options, I cant wait to come back next time Im in Edinburgh.
