It was actually a quite disappointing experience. We ordered few apps and 5 skewers, did not try the noodles. The chicken wings one (ordered 2) was pretty disappointing, especially when the price is quite high. It only came with a single one chicken wing per skewer and the meat was dry and hard. Also, one of the chicken in the bang bang chicken we got looked like someone bit it already as the photo shows below. I almost believed I ate it and put it back to the plate. However, I really like the drinks they have and will be just getting the drinks next time. (Didn’t remember to take a photo before we ate but yes that is all I can provide)
I got the tomato veggie soup which was pretty good. It seems to be the only vegetarian soup on the menu, so that is what I got. The soup was very tomato-ey, and the noodles were good. Overall, it wasn't amazingly flavorful, but it wasn't bad.
Loved eating at Dagu! Stopped in after an event with a buddy and the whole experience had me wanting to come back ASAP. The restaurant is very clean and super modern feeling. Our server was excellent, walking us through the step on how to best experience our food, and the food was delicious. We each got a crossing the bridge noodle, both experiencing the dish for the first time, and left feeling like it would not be our last. I got the spicy lamb which was powerfully spicy, but ultra flavourful, and my buddy got the original broth flavour which was a lot more mild. We mentioned that if there was some kind of hybrid between the two broths, it would be perfect for the both of us. Additionally, we also got some fried chicken and dunked into the broth, it hit the spot. The texture was very similar to chicken karaage, and we mentioned it would have gone so well with some type of sauce to dip in. We each finished with a bubble tea which were super refreshing and gave us a nice end to our meal. Dagu is delicious and if a tasty bowl of soup or a plate of fried chicken is what you’re looking for, definitely give them a try 👍🏾
We love the food and willing to drive all the way from Southwest side. Marinated beef brisket with Rice noodle is one of our favorite and the must have dish.
Service - The server looks like a CBC keep changing the language when she is serving the customers. (She can speak perfect mandarin but she won’t do it to the people who don’t speak good English) I use to come to this place very often but since I was away from Edmonton over 2.5 years and this is the first time I am back. - ordered this chicken gristle, 13.99 and only got 14 pcs( the size per pcs is like your little finger)the plate size in this picture is like your open hand size. - soups Soup is ok. The noodle is way thicker than before. I suggest they can change back to the real Chinese rice noodle noodle. Drink- The highlight of this restaurant is their bubble tea menu, I always, always get the drinks when I came to eat. However, the drink is so flavourless this time. Overall, unfortunately not going to come this place anymore.
There was MOLD on my food. Sadly, I took a bite before noticing.. It was my first time ordering and I wasn’t sure if the color of the tofu was correct so I asked a waitress and the moment she saw it she apologized and whisked my meal away. Her reaction, and the lack there of from the other waitresses, made me feel like this was definitely not the first time. Because my meal was taken away so quickly, didn’t have time to take a proper photo of the whole thing but what you see in the photo I attached was only the half of it. My habit of taking food pictures before I ate paid off this time. I was served a new meal and it was comped. This could’ve been extremely dangerous for someone one with a mold allergy. Also could cause food poisoning. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of attention and minimal quality control at this restaurant. I will not be coming back.
Love their super hot and warming(for a cold day)soups here. Highly recommend the green pepper spicy soup base. Their beef/ox tongue side dish also very flavourful, yet spicy. Unlimited noodle refills here, which is perfect for the amount of soup they give you. They have pretty good deep fried salted egg yolk chicken wings as well. Will visit again!
There’s nothing better than a hearty bowl of soup on a cold day and Dagu delivers just that. With unlimited rice noodles and a very diverse menu to choose from, I find myself coming back here quite often. Great flavours and many spicy options as well.
Affordable food Friendly servers Warm restaurant ambiance I always order the Crispy Chicken Rice Bowl because of its generous serving! My go-to drinks are the cookie frappe and cheese watermelon.
Good clean place for hot noodle soup! :)
Service was quick, atmosphere was nice, but the food... I ordered a braised beef on the bone with rice noodles and it didnt have any flavor. It was confusing, the broth and the meat had barely any seasoning. My guess is that someone errored on this because the food, though filling and good portion size, kind of felt underwhelming. I even threw in a small side of hot sauce but it wasnt enough. I dont think i cohld recommend this place for this particular item.
The rice noodle soup base is like the seasoning package of instant noodles, not delicious
They had a Thursday rice noodle special for 10.99, it was pretty good!
Their bbt is the best in town!!
Love their bubble tea menu. They have a lot of unique drinks that are good!
good food, good boba. yum
Generally, the food quality to price ratio is fairly good, but I recently went in on a busier day and it was probably the most chaotic experience of my life. Im not sure if the restaurant was just understaffed that day, but the service was just all over the place. The waitress tried to set our expectations by letting us know that it was a busier day, and I appreciate that, but she was a bit stern, and not exactly the friendliest. After this, it felt like our table was neglected for some time. It took a pretty long amount of time before we were able to place our order, and one of our orders came almost immediately, which was great... But the remaining orders probably took close to an hour... So one member of our party awkwardly waited before starting, and eventually we just encouraged her to eat ahead of us. She finished her meal and we still had to continue waiting about 40 minutes to an hour before we received the rest of our food. Even then, it was just the soup without any noodles, and then we waited another 10-20 minutes for our noodles to arrive. 10 minutes for mine, and 20 minutes for the remaining set. To try to avoid having to wait another hour, we placed another order in advance. During this time, plates were dropped multiple times around the restaurant, and the servers all seemed very flustered and even blaming the customers in some instances. We also had a few order mistakenly brought to our table, and I wasnt sure what was part of our order and what wasnt. Additionally, we received an extra set of noodles and I tried to let our server know it was extra so it could go to another table if necessary, and the server wouldnt believe me and tried to compare it to my initial order... I dont know what I gain from lying about having extra noodles, and overall I was just trying to help them. It made the whole experience a bit more uncomfortable for me. I think normally the restaurant might be a 3.5/5 and delivers fairly decent value for the price. Its a reasonable amount of food, and its usually under $20 (depending on what you order). But they dont seem to be equipped to manage the restaurant when its at or close to full capacity.
Would not seat me at 8:20 pm even though they close at 9 pm. NO signage stating when their last seating will be. If they had such signage I could not complain or have issues.
Went for brunch/early lunch. Malatang was delicious. Nice and spicy. Great noodles. As always, staff were friendly and great. Kid-friendliness: Had a nice little kids section on menu. Half serving that was perfect for our 10 year old.
I ordered a Super fruit tea with some modifications. Server was very accommodative and friendly.
Delicious food, great service.
Skewers were half prices. We ordered beef , lamb and chicken, and some noodles. Actually they were all deep fried not bbq , anyway, some of the beef were gone bad. We told the waitress and she said she would let the kitchen know. When we paid the bill, we requested to take off the spoiled beef from the bill but they wanted to dust us off. The waitress told us the kitchen were saying no problem of the beef .It was freshly made. Wow, they didnt even take the beef back to the kitchen to let the kitchen guy see or smell, or taste . The beef are freshly made doesnt mean the beef are fresh. We told them to try the beef as there were some still on the plate. Finally, they took them off from the bill. They seem that they dont care about our business. Would not go there again
Order from uber, I requested food with chapsticks but there is not provided chapstick, and I called the store they can not give anything answer or solutions. Very bad service
Disappointing Experience with Online Bubble Tea Orders I recently purchased four bubble teas online for approximately $40, along with a $2 service charge. When I arrived to pick up my order, my friends and I expected to receive four stamps on our stamp card as we had in the past. However, we were informed by the staff that online purchases did not qualify for stamp rewards, despite this information not being clearly communicated on their website, or anywhere else like the stamp card. It is worth noting that nowhere in their policy is it explicitly stated that third-party self-pickup orders do not qualify for stamp rewards. This lack of clarity only added to our frustration and left us feeling misled. Furthermore, the service staffs unwelcoming and dismissive demeanor only exacerbated our negative experience. It is disheartening to encounter such attitude when simply seeking to enjoy a beverage we love. Overall, our experience with this establishment was marred by inconsistent policies, lack of clarity, and disappointing service. We hope that they will take steps to rectify these issues to ensure a more positive and customer-friendly experience for all patrons.
I ordered a noodle from Dagu through Uber eats. I have you waiting for two hours for the food to be prepared, and this is how many noodle I got. This is not the first time I order Dagu, never looking like this before. This is how Dagu trade customs
My family and I love this place. My favourite is the Tom Yum soup. It have a good variety of proteins in it, extra rice noodles are free. The drinks are AMAZING! I m always too full after just the noodles but I insist on ordering the drink to go. Taro Bobo Milk Tea is my to go and never disappoint.
Staff were so friendly. We got bubble tea here and it was very good. The boba is fresh. Can t wait to come back to try the food items on the menu!
My go-to spot for lunch during work days. The food is really good, and you get unlimited rice noodle if dine in. 10/10 would recommend!
served moldy food, dont go
My favorite noodle place downtown. My noodles are always delicious and served piping hot. My go to is the pickled cabbage noodle soup with fish slices but my young kids love the braised bone-in noodle soup. They also love the fried pumpkin pancakes with red beans paste. My only complaint is service is slow when it is super busy but Ive only encountered that situation twice in all my visits (probably have been there 10-15 times in the past 2 years). Kid-friendliness: High chairs, kids utensils/bowls/plates/cups/placemat available.
I recently ate at Dagu Rice Noodle, and it was awesome! Right when I walked in, I felt super welcomed. The place has a cool mix of traditional and modern vibes. The food was amazing! I got the Spicy Beef Rice Noodle Soup, and it was so good. The broth was super flavorful with just the right amount of spice and sourness. The beef was tender and there was plenty of it. There were lots of different ingredients in the soup, making every bite interesting. My friend had the Tomato Beef Rice Noodle Soup, and it was just as good with a rich, tangy tomato flavor. The service was great too. The staff were really friendly and patient, explaining the menu and checking in on us often. Overall, this place is a gem, and I ll definitely be coming back!
For me, its the best place for bubble tea in Edmonton!!!
Must try their summer cold noodle special! It s sooo good! The watermelon chunk in it was so sweet and such a surprisingly complementary pairing to the cold noodles. My new favorite noodle dish in the city! It was busy but the service was always prompt and friendly. Will definitely be there for it again very soon.
Food is great! That would be the only reason why I give it the most stars I can give. Service isn t very good, there is one server with a really bad attitude. I ve witnessed her twice speak rudely to myself and other tables. She is extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly and I feel like I am inconveniencing her everytime I speak to her. Also, no one came to check on us or on our food for our whole duration of being there. It s really difficult to get anyone s attention. The other person I was with received their food before I did and by the time I received my food, my friend had finished their food. Overall the experience seemed disorganized.
I ate their crossing the bridge noodles with my family and it was great service and awesome food. The atmosphere was aesthetic and calming, we will be coming more often.
We used to come here a lot and been away for awhile. Came back for the deal today and it was a total disappointment. We ordered three soup noodle and a large sausage. The lettuce that was underneath the sausage was full of bugs, not just one, many small ones. No explanation of the hygiene and food safety was given to us even after paying. There were only 4-5 tables including us yet no one filled our emptied water cups and napkins was not brought to us after requesting. This is unacceptable for restaurants.
Food was great and service was fast.
I have been there several times, really enjoy the food and bubble tea! Tried different flavor of rice noodle soup, they all taste wonderful and lamb skewer is sooo good ! Server also very nice and serve quickly, will definitely come more times and recommend to friends.
So good. Wandered in for a Noodle Soup lunch deal and could not have been happier.
Slowest service ever wasnt even busy
Everything was exceptional. The staff were committed to great service and were very friendly. Most importantly, every food and drink on the menu tasted great! I think we have found our new favorite restaurant . We will definitely come back, and we highly recommend this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: The kid s meal is perfect and our kid enjoyed it! There are also high chairs available and utensils designed for kids
I really love their hot soup. Drinks were so refreshing. Highly recommended!
Great food and services. Highly recommend.
One of the best avocado smoothie in town
Can only Speak for the bubble tea which is fresh and delicious! 5/5 for me!
Salt crispy chicken rice is delicious and cheap The taro mochi with fresh milk is amazing The rice noodles are also great
Great food and service! Love their bubble tea too.
Delicious! Try a bubble tea while you re there too!
Both the food menu and drink menu offer a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. Overall, dining at this restaurant was a 10 out of 10 experience.
Love their bubble teas! They use fresh fruit so it s always super yummy! Their rice noodle soups are also good too. I always come with my mom and my sister to get their seafood tomyum and spicy clam soup!
Love this place!! Servers were very nice every time I visited, and their malatang is absolute heaven! 100% recommended Great drinks too
If you like fresh and spicy food, I definitely recommend the Malatang rice noodles and Huajia rice noodles~ This is also my favorite~ They also have their milk tea, which is delicious! Some time ago, the store also launched Northern delicacies such as porridge-based hot pot, Spring Festival set menu, pot-wrapped pork, piglet quilt, etc. Looking forward to the next new product, haha~
Tasty food and professional service
Delicious salty crunchy chicken bowl, fresh and tasty blended fruit drinks, fantastic brown rice sticks, and very reasonably priced
So disappointed with their bubble tea. Orginal milk tea is plain milk with no tea base. The cheese green tea has too much of cheese portion and completely overpowers the tea.
Super serving of food - you get your soup boiling in the bowl, but be careful, its very hot. Big bowl of soup, delicious nice cooked meat brings you on the seventh Heaven of happiness Fair price makes you more satisfied
The soup is hot enough to roll on the table, and the flavor is rich without drying up your throat. The rice noodles have a moderately soft and hard texture. If you finish one bowl and its not enough, you can add a second or third bowl for free, which is great. When I visited, the store was offering a 30% discount, which was a great deal. The service and dining environment are both good.
I visited several times and this is my favorite hot pot place in Edmonton! The soup was really rich in flavour and tasty. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a perfect hotpot place in Edmonton.
so gooddd
We had been here previously, in 2022 and found everything really good. At that time the place was packed. Since then the service and food quality have dropped substantially. Mostly empty at 6 pm on a Friday when other area restaurants were packed should have been a sign. I never received the pop I ordered and water glasses were left empty. For 3 people our order included appies, crossing the bridge soup and rice entrées. The server came back sometime later and told us they were out of rice. That seemed...weird. we added an extra appie since we didnt want soup. Service timing was way off. The soup came for the person who did order it, but no other food, including the rice noodles for the soup, for at least minutes. The salty chicken was pretty good, the vegetarian spring rolls were average and the soup was only ok, not great. The lamb with the soup was really good. The appie replacement for the rice entrée was slow to arrive. Overall the fact that they didnt have some basics like rice, the slow service, forgotten items and mediocre food means we wont be back. I would not recommend.
Always been delicious every time Ive been there. This soup for all their soup noodle dishes are flavorful and I LOVE their fried chicken. Their drinks are the BOMB. I had their mango coconut smoothie is amazing! Recently I did have their Strawberry Panna Cotta; it was a bit bland for me but I can see they are not trying to give people diabetes by making it overally sweet. But for sure get their smoothies! It has the right amount of sugar!
The chubby lady who served us was quite rude. Told her not to put any peppercorns inside the soup and yet its inside the soup.... In the end we gave her 15% tips and she didnt say anything at all... Shame on the owners that hired those employees who do not even have ppl services skills.
I have a perfect experience at Dagu rice noodles. Malatang rice noodles are rich in flavor, Hokkaido milk tea and coconut mango smoothie taste good. Beautiful environment waitress are nice too
Came in to check out the place since Ive always wandered passed. Pleasantly surprised! Their drink menu is huge and they even have Soju available. They also have some unique dishes for appetizers, the dumplings and the pumpkin cakes were so good. Had a hard time choosing what to order but settled on the salty chicken bowl. I regret not ordering a soup because although the bowl was a generous portion, I found it lacking a bit on flavor. That being said, I definitely will return and I do recommend. Especially their milk tea!! I have to note too, the staff are very helpful and fast. Also friendly!!!
I ve been to Dagu Rice Noodle a few times now since they first opened. Generally, I like the restaurants decor and setup. They offer somewhat authentic (Yunan-styled) rice noodles with really good soup, such as pork bone soup rice noodles. The highlight for me is the unlimited refills on the noodles. I recommend asking for a refill ASAP (i.e. ask for a 2nd bowl of noodles when the first one comes) so that the soup is still warm when the refills arrive. Their bubble tea is also quite interesting and worth trying. Overall, I d give them 8.3/10
I like their Malatang but they have to keep their recipe standardize and unify. I order the same spicy level all the time but sometimes its toooo spicy and sometimes its toooo mild, and sometimes its toooo salty. Im worried what I would have today whenever I order eventhough I order the same thing. Rice noodles come first than the soup so it gets soft and soggy. Service is okay but a little slow.
Had the lunch combo - beef brisket with noodles, fried pumpkin cake, and a large milk bubble tea. Really delicious and decent price at $20.
Food was okay love the unlimited noodles. water served had soap in it so I just ordered a drink. Sat in a table of 6 and was on my third noodle refill when I noticed that everyone else at my table has received their drinks but me. Asked the server about this and they said that they were in the process of making the drink. Which is fine but then they gave me the wrong drink. The correct drink was not delivered until we had all finished eating and were ready to leave.
Weve been here a few times and Im glad the food is still very good but service seems to have come down quite a bit. It took a long time to get the food and it was always very difficult to get the waitresses attention. Aside from the service issue we started with the pigs feet which was delicious. Personally this is not a dish I enjoy due to the many bones but it was very authentic to the real stuff in China and the Sichuan pepper flavour was spot on. Definitely a great choice if looking for the real deal! For the noodles I had the tomato crossing the bridge which was delicious. Its not spicy at all but the flavour of the booth is amazing. All of the crossing the bridge noodles come with a side tray of vegetables and if you get the beef slices or other meats they come on the tray like in a hot pot. I get the meatballs though instead which are really nice and they come directly in the soup. The other soup we had was the fish one which again the soup was amazing. The noodles are technically all you can eat but the bowls are so large you dont really need a second bowl of noodles and they dont actually taste like anything. For us its all about the broths. Their bubble teas are also very good but take quite a while to be made. So overall its worth it just dont go if in a rush!
Food is good. Atmosphere is cozy and clean. Staff is friendly.
Went here for boxing day lunch with my boyfriend we got rice noodle soups and I enjoyed mine but their couldve been more toppings that the dish comes with. The food also took quite long about an hour and the menu was kind of confusing. The appetizer was strange because it was served cold but it was apparently supposed to be eaten that way. But I will say I quite enjoyed the skewers and my bubble tea was delish!
Great little discovery in downtown Edmonton for asian noodles.
Great bowl of hot soup on a brisk day. The servers took the time to explain the menu and checked in on us several times. I got the signature soup with beef bone in, and added lamb as I couldnt decide on a single meat. Unlimited noodle refills as long as you still have soup. Taste of the soup was similar to other pork bone broths except with that signature Northern meatiness exemplary of a soup slow-brewed bone-in. Very well done. Got a Hokkaido bubble tea for the road. Only reason I didnt give it full marks on the atmosphere was because it was somewhat resembling a cafeteria in nature. Definitely would come again.
Crossing the bridge shown in photo. Get this variety of you want to add your own ingredients to a piping hot bowl. Similar to the dolsot concept except with soup instead of rice. Great selection of soups and meats. Menu also shown.
I ordered the meatball but didn t get it. Moreover, there were pebbles in it... This New Year s gift is too expensive.
Everything Ive tried there so far is good. They have a winter menu where they offer Seafood Tom Yum soup and it was SUPER good. It comes with big prawns with shells which I wasnt expecting so expect to use your hands to peel the shells.
AMAZING AND DELICIOUS RICE NOODLES, FRIED CHICKEN AND BUBBLE TEA!!! 5/5 Not only does Dagu Rice Noodle offer unique noodle dishes not found in many other stores in Edmonton, but the consistency and quality of the noodles, and the flavour of the broth is unmatched! It s very fun to come with family and friends and spend time dipping the different ingredients in the hot stone bowl. Other items on the menu I would definitely recommend are the salted egg bubble tea (I know- but TRUST ME it will blow your mind) and the fried chicken. The staff are also very friendly, so I have become a repeat customer!
I ate the most delicious fish soup I have ever eaten. So worth your time and money
Dagu is delicious. Get the spicy over bridge rice noodle, spicy quail egg, fried pork and chicken, and get their fresh tea products! Hiiiiighly recommend!
I reached the restaurant at 9 pm after skiing for an entire afternoon. I was extremely hungry and ordered a beef bone soup. The soup was greasy and disgusting. So I left the restaurant even I was not full yet. Never visit again.
Came here for lunch, first impression of the restaurant is very spacious, clean and newly renovated. Ordered tomato soup based noodles soup. It was delicious, the tomato soup based is very thick and rich. There are a lot of spices and tomatoes in the soup, has the right flavour. Service was not attentive, I had to wait a while before they seated even there s no one waiting in line and less than 5 tables with 3 servers.
I visit whenever I miss mala flavour ! Highly recommend mala noodle
Yummy dishes AND the drinks are EVERYTHING
Favorite bubble tea place in YEG, fresh ingredients and delicious flavours. They offer $1 skewers for Mondays, very good bang for your buck. Their noodles are decent.
Had the beef bone with soup. The soup was a little bland for me but they do offer different soups with more flavor. Unlimited noodle refill so its pretty good value. Coconut mango slush was done well.
Visit: July 2023, January 2023, December 2022 July 2023: Got the curry chicken rice bowl. It was okay, I wasnt really blown away by the flavours, and likely wouldnt get it again. There was a BOGO on bubble teas, so I got a strawberry Panna cotta with 30% sugar (definitely not sweet enough, and I dont like really sweet drinks) and the salted egg yolk milk tea (very unique flavours!) I love Dagu Rice Noodle. They have a lot of great soup dishes and sides. If you go there, you know youll be full when you leave. When they had the offer for a VIP card, I knew I had to get it, and it was a good call for sure. Their prices are very good for what you get, and on Mondays, they have $1 skewers which is pretty awesome! Their soups are very flavourful and they dont skimp out on the ingredients. Theres also unlimited noodles, so you can eat to your hearts content! Overall, love Dagu and I usually think about coming back whenever Im downtown
Slightly strangely slow service given the number of servers but they were certainly friendly and helpful. Love the atmosphere and the food was very good.
Good food and service
Food is okay, but the drinks are great. But thanks to Molly and the rest of the team for the great service!
Everything is perfect . Fist time to come this place, the foods are amazing.
I ordered a coconut mango smoothie and I was asked sweetness and I said clearly No sugar . But I found out they messed it up and made it regular sugar. Crazy sweet. Totally waste 9 dollars on a smoothie. Very disappointed!!!!
The food here is to salty and dried for the stew. Soup is fine (digestion soup is still smell strong)I would go there again....
Good tasting beef noodle soup. Rice noodles are thick and firm, surely fresh. Even better with a bit of chili garlic oil. Their crossing bridge noodles is great as well, like an unassembled version of other noodles. Their salted egg milk tea may sound weird but tastes so good.
Can you believe the best smoothie I ve ever had is in this noodle soup restaurant lol? Pls try their avocado glow!!!!
Paid $9.99 on SkipTheDishes for this Bang bang chicken (which is $1 higher than dine in) and just got 6 tiny pieces really that s $1.67/piece - how precious it is! Very disappointed
Enjoyed it Parking: Make sure you ask for the parking discount before paying for your meal Food : 5/5 |
My favorite food is Mala rice noodle soup in this restaurant. I always eat it whenever I go, and its always perfect and so delicious. Pleasant and spacious restaurant interior and very friendly staff. The food is served at a fast pace and is in an easy-to-visit position. Food : 5/5 |
Delicious food and drink, enjoyed my soy osmanthus tea. They cared about my allergies!
My boyfriend and I were on our way to get boba but we stopped on the way there and ran into Dagu Rice Noodle. We saw their boba pictures on the windows so we went inside. Surprisingly this place didnt pop up for nearest boba options, maybe because of the restaurant name? Anyways we ordered our drinks and we loved them. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and I really enjoyed the flavors and boba chewiness. Boba consistency was just how I liked it. We loved our drinks so much that we came back another time. We got our drinks pretty fast as well. The inside was very spacious. The next time we came back, we had dinner and boba here. I got the Teriyaki Fried Rice with beef. It was delicious and the portion size was huge for me. And I think we got the beef and fishball skewers. I like spicy, but the spicy sauce on the fishballs was just alright for me. Maybe I wouldve liked it in a separate cup on the side rather than on the skewer itself so I could control how much sauce was on it. Lastly, I got the Mango Panna Cotta with boba and my boyfriend got the Avocado Smoothie with boba. I really liked the mango chunks on top of my drink and the granola on top of my boyfriends drink. They were really cute touches. And these last two drinks we ordered were my favorites by far. The Mango Panna Cotta was just amazing. Sweetness level was great, the drink consistency was blended and smooth, the mango was amazing. And it was the same with the Avocado Smoothie, it was at the perfect level of sweetness, I loved the added granola which gave the drink more texture. We loved these last two drinks so much we came back again another day lol. Whenever Im in the area I always plan on stopping here for the drinks. 5/5 easily for me.
Delicious soup with unlimited noodles! Soup broth is flavourful and delicious. Service was fast and helpful. If your in the 104th street neighborhood, this is a great and unique place to eat!
Nice place downtown
I have always enjoyed their broth and rice noodles. But the best part is their bubble drinks!
I loved there food. The taste of noodles is fresh. (i guess they made it on their own.) they have a big table for a big group.
I decided to pop in to Dagu Rice Noodle to try their cheese tea. I thought it sounded interesting and had never heard of it before. The server who helped me was knowledgeable and recommended the Watermelon Cheese Tea. I am so glad that I took her recommendation, it was absolutely delicious. It is a sweet and savoury flavour. I will definitely be back again for food as it smelled phenomenal! Thanks for the excellent service!
Not that good taste as the one in Chinese mainland
An absolute gem! The portions are incredibly generous you definitely wont leave hungry. The staff are not only friendly but also attentive, making the dining experience truly delightful. From the moment you walk in, youre greeted with warmth and kindness. The food is delicious, and the sizable portions ensure you get more than your moneys worth. Would definitely recommend leaving room for dessert as they have a great selection of bubble tea flavours. A fantastic spot for those who love great food and a welcoming atmosphere!
Why arent you given chopsticks when ordering takeout? ? how do i eat
My kid s Loves it there. Imo best bubble tea place in downtown.
Good veggies tomato noodles. And sweet sticky rice desert. Hot green tea. Vegetarian options: All they need is veggie stone rice. Dietary restrictions: Clean basic soup base that is plant based good for Buddhist like myself Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs. Lots of space.
The service was good with the right amount of attention. I got the spicy pork intestine soup. The meat was excellent and the broth had just the right amount of spiciness. Food
The portions are pitifully small, the couples lung slices are less than ten pieces of meat, the soup is very bland, and the egg yolk chicken wings are also bland. Maybe its just my taste.
Always a great choice for noodle soup. There are crossing the bridge options where you can add all the ingredients into your soup or you can get soups where everything is already added in. The best part is that the noodles are unlimited! My favourites are the tomato soup and kimchi soup.
Love how hot the soup comes out and to add all your toppings into it! Service was a bit slow & our drinks came out after our meal, however it was lunch hour too. Definitely recommend for the delicious soup bowls!
Rated 5 stars for excellent service and a pleasant environment. The staff is friendly, and the noodle dish I ordered was satisfactory. However, I found the milk tea and appetizer to be more impressive than the main course. Parking can be challenging during peak hours.
Love their soup and services is always nice.
The taste of noodle is awesome.
Friendly staff & yummy noodles.
Probably the best rice noodle place in Edmonton.
The taro bobo has pretty much become my weekly must-have. So good!
Last night, my boyfriend and I went to Dagu and ordered their $35 dinner special for Downtown Dining Week. The special included 2 noodle soups and 2 drinks: signature rice noodle soup with braised bone-in pork, tomato flavoured crossing the bridge rice noodle soup with beef slices, Hokkaido milk tea and strawberry Yakult. We also ordered the sliced beef and ox tongue in chili sauce and deep-fried pumpkin pancake with red bean paste as appetizers. The special was definitely good value for the price; all the food and drink items we had were fantastic. I liked how the tomato rice noodle soup was like a deconstructed noodle dish, as they brought out a tray containing tiny dishes with crab meat, fish tofu, egg, corn, beef slices, etc. (see photo) and I added them into the soup myself. This allowed me to pick out the items I dont eat. Dagu also offers unlimited noodle refills. We both ended up getting an additional bowl each. If youre looking for authentic Chinese-style noodle soups, I highly recommend Dagu!
Man this place is so good. Had a soup and a weird kind of cold french fry sort of pickle that I didnt expect. Was better than I thought, but definitely not what I expected. I believe it was Sauteed potatoes with chili sauce The soup came out super hot, the service was excellent, and for stumbling on it because it was cold out, I really was extremely surprised. Didnt know what I was getting into initially, but know that Im going back.
Just went there for lunch today. This is not our first time at the place, but is our first time with our would be toddler. The food has always been great but I was most impressed with the service. The restaurant is stroller friendly, provided us with high chairs and toddler safe plates and cups as well as plastic utensils. We asked for extra items to be boiled a bit longer for our baby. The server Molly went above and beyond to make sure everything to our satisfaction. If we loved their food before, now we are in love with their services. Thank you for a very pleasant dining experience with our lil toddler.
My go to bubble tea place. They use all the real fruits. drinks are not overly sweet. Mango sunrise is my favourite drink. I can have it everyday. All of their drinks are between $6-$8 Check out uber eats as they offer discounts often.
I would say the food was okay. For the price of our whole order (Consist of appetizers, skewers, rice bowls and noodles) it wasn t worth it. Definitely, one try of eating here was enough. Also, when our water was served, it had some bubbles. We let our server know and she was kind to replace it. It did smell like a dish soap. So we got worried.
Yummy mango cheese shake. Sorry no picture this time.
Finally got to try this out. There are 5-6 soup base you could choose to go with the rice noodle. Ive got myself a sour & spicy soup and it tastes good, not too spicy as to my standard. You could refill the rice noodle if needed. There are many appetizers & drinks (pearl milk tea, fruit tea, sake, soju) you could choose as well. Sure would come back and try other soup as well.
Things tasted lighter then the first time I was here. I really like you can refill their rice noodle!
The servers today were not professional with rude attitude. Even food and drink are good, would not recommend it!
server with yellow hair discrimination poor service
The servers today were not professional with rude attitude. The girl with the yellow hair under the ponytail
The food is fresh with excellent service.
I tried almost all the rice noodles and love them all! Drinks are also giving me surprise every time I ordered
first time trying out Dagu Rice Noodle and I was left speechless as the rice noodle soup I ordered was so delicious, I am sure to visit again very soon.
Very great place with friends and families! Tasty food and neat environment. Their side dishes are awesome, with many choices for young kids. super!
So tasty. My cheese watermelon beverage was so good!
Horrible customer experience, waited 45 min for a couple of bubble teas. When I got it, the drinks melted already.
The attitude was very bad. I waited for about 45 minutes and it was past the self-pickup time. The ice in the milk tea has melted.
A delightful little place to get soup noodles and tasty appetizers in the downtown core. Always an enjoyable lunch for me.
Great good.
They are doing Buy one get one free drink until.....I guess 16th. Friendly staffs
The deep fried chicken is a must try. Pork knuckle soup pretty tasty as well. Keep up the good work!
Cute place, awesome bubble tea - will be back to try the food!
Servers are polite and pleasant. You get free flow of rice noodles when you order any of the noodle soups. However the taste of the food here is really mediocre by Chinese standards. Price is high for the amounts of meats and vegetables you get. Soup broth is also very bland, not much different from the instant paste you can get from T&T. If not for company events, I would never pay out of pocket to eat here.
Don t order the Yunnan Small Pot Rice Noodles. The menu description says it has minced meat, but it actually doesn t. The taste is hard to describe. There are only six fried buns in one portion, but two are missing. I have always had good reviews before, but now I feel like I don t take the food preparation very seriously.
The noodles were great, rich with flavor and great portion size. The crossing bridge bowls are similar to hotpot where you get the raw ingredients. The bubble tea was the show stealer though. It was soo good, better than any of the chain franchises in Edmonton. They have an extensive bubble tea menu, with lots off options and toppings. Would come back just for the bubble tea.
Great food, open late night, clean and friendly!
I was really satisfied with the noodle. And the staff were lovely too. I have asked a few questions as it was my first time and one of the staff, she was really lovely and willing to answer my questions. I ordered regular size of salty chicken for to go and it was really good. It reminded me the one that I had in Shanghai! If I come to Edmonton again for my work, I would definitely visit again to try other menus! Highly recommended :) Plus, I m adding some comments as I was so impressed with Sakura Matcha. It was SO GOOD. I mean I wasn t expecting much but I was amazed with the matcha flavour. I feel like I m having Matcha ice cream in Japan. <3
Get A1. It s so good. The broth is amazing.
Food and drink was very good! A bit of a wait in my small order. Pearls weren t fresh but overall would come back for another try. The small buns and condensed milk were so yummy! Defintley come back to try some food!
The noodles took really long to deliver, my friend ordered his noodle before me and didn t get his until I finished mine. The servers never refill water. There is one side that was never delivered. The photo shows my friend still eating and I am drinking off my own water bottle.
The rice balls were delivered too slowly... they still tasted good. The milk tea is really one of the best in the village, and there are many varieties.
I remember I asked for cutlery, but they were not given to me? ? ? Then should I eat rice noodles with my fingers?
Been here so many times . I love the foods. and milk tea so much. Great place to have some milk tea
Staff is very helpful and friendly, food is incredible
Always visit with my family. When you dine in, you can unlimited refills the noodles. I ordered tomato soup with beef and Jasmine Milk tea with taro ball. The noodles soup are super hot when it arrived, have to be very careful. But taste are super good , and fresh. The drink are not too sweet, and the topping are very chewy. Highly recommended
Neat little place with authentic Chinese noodle soup. Also has an extensive drink menu if you like unique Asian drinks (black sesame, green tea, red bean, bubble tea, etc). Overall, a great little spot for lunch! Service is quick and portion sizes are fair. The noodles are also unlimited, so you can always ask for more!
Genius concept, love the flavours and all the options. I always get a milk tea when I go. It does get very busy, so go early if you can. Food
The food here is okay. To be honest I would say its not worth if your going just for the food. Ill give it stars for the concept though. Theres unlimited noodles and the food comes out in a piping hot bowl that stays hot for your whole duration eating. Overall, if your looking to just eat, better luck somewhere else. But if your feeling curious one day and want to try something different its worth a look.
Clean and tidy restaurant with tasty foods
Taro mud Bobo milk tea is a must-try
Food was good, however service was not comparable. I visited with a birthday group of over 20 people. We were denied being served alcohol because they stated that it was the law that everyone at the table provide ID to prove they were 18+, even when they were not ordering alcoholic beverages. (We were all above 18+ but some did not carry ID, which is beside the point.. because that is not the law..) The staff would only let my friend drink if she stood beside the cash desk and drank her beer.. very odd. Not only that, but when it came to our food, everyone was served at our table but my meal took an extra 10 minutes even after the waitress confirmed that I was still waiting. After all of this, I was not compensated on my bill, which was very unprofessional. For a group of 20 to be treated so poorly was a mistake because we will not be returning in the future.
The place was clean and the staff was nice. However, they dont let you know that there is unlimited rice noodle refills for free nor have they written it on the menu at all. Luckily one bowl was enough for me and it tasted good. You should definitely try the brown sugar sticky rice cuz Ill revisit just for that appetizer. The mango yogurt drink was a total waste of money...dont know how you can mess up mango and yogurt. Overall a little pricey but worth an experience.
My family loves coming here for steaming bowls of noodles and unlimited noodles. Lots of different flavors of broth and noodles to try The skewers are also really delicious. They also have a great selection of specialty beverages. The waitresses (Hi Molly!) are friendly and provides great service. The soups come out bubbling hot in heavy stone bowls, the employees must get quite the workout carrying these bowls. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, bright and clean. Its become a weekly visit for my family.
The ordering at this store is very messy. There is no one-for-one that is written. 75% of the total price is charged in full. I do not recommend this store. I will be very angry after eating.
Great place for a wholesome bowl of noodles. Salty crispy chicken Authentic and great flavour. Didnt need the chili sauce! Chicken was well cooked. Tender and juicy on the inside. Original -- light flavour accented with lots of toppings. Would like to see a stronger flavour. Came with toppings on the side. Beef soup -- stronger flavour. Toppings came already in the soup. No need for extra meat. The flavour on the bone in the soup is better than the toppings added in. Plenty of meat on the bone as well! Love that the noodles are served on the side so that it doesnt soak up the soup. Mushroom soup Strongest and most complex flavour of the 3 soups. Holds its flavour even when soup is cool. Herbal accents to the soup made it quite pleasant. Original milk tea cold a nice compliment to soup. Soothing and refreshing. Qty. Generous in serving size. Pricing well matched for food. Would come again!
Great place. Yummy noodle soup and drinks!! Would recommend!
Dagu is located in the heart of downtown, very spacious, excellent food, and friendly atmosphere. I ordered crossing the bridge noodles with beef slices and was very impressed! It was a fun experience. The food was at a very reasonable cost ($14-$16 per noodle bowl) and I was surprised to learn that the noodles are unlimited (although I was very full after barely finishing and couldn t take advantage of that). Very different from other types of other Asian noodle cuisines like pho or ramen for those looking to try something new!
Went here on a whim with my parents as we were desperately searching for food, and we were not disappointed! The food was very good, and the servers were amazing! They went out of their way to help us and explain the menu. Well done!
Excellent food!! The services was great. I would recommending this place to anyone looking for delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. Best quality
Pretty unique experience! You have to pay attention while eating it or you will get burnt... Literally!
Good service. The watress took care of my 2 years old son well.
Strongly recommend this restaurant!! In love with sour and spicy flavored noodle, and crossing the bridge plate is really cool! Sautéed potatoes with chilies is my FAV! TRY IT
I have been here couple times. They were fine before. I guess they change the recipes? Everything is too salty now!!!!!!!!!!!! Like DEADLY SALTY
Havent tried their food yet but their bubble tea is pretty good.
Their drinks are definitely a highlight. I ve tried many different drinks so far and they never disappoint.
Wouldnt recommend eating here. I ordered fried broccoli skewers, fried tofu skewers and cold rice noodles with minced pork. The skewers are embarrassing meager, two small pieces of either tofu or broccoli on each. The rice noodles were very over cooked, the vegetables and green onion were smashed not cut and the over all dish was bland and unsatisfying. Dont bother there are many better places close by that wont lead you to be rage quite your meal.
This place is really good! I was really surprised at how hot the broth was. Super flavourful, full of toppings, and extra noodles if you want. Excellent service, the server at our table took the time to explain the dishes and was super friendly. A must try and we will be definitely going again. Winter is coming and this place does not disappoint!
Dagu Rice Noodle is one of my go-to places. The staff is very kind and their prices are amazing. They have great soup dishes that are very flavorful, along with unlimited noodles (so you know youll always be full). On Mondays, they have $1 skewers which taste incredible. Highly recommend!
Definitely an experience to try in Edmonton. Will be back again.
Delicious!!
Like their original milk tea- always order less sugar. They make street food deep fried pork or chicken are both great. My favourite rice noodle is the spicy one.
