Great place, decent prices, wonderful service, really good food and drinks

I had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the brisket and dirty fried rice and the pork bbq ribs. Our server HANNAH were very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and provided fantastic suggestions.

Always have a great meal when I go to MEAT. This is one of my go-to spots to bring friends and family. But make sure you come on an empty stomach because the food will fill you right up!

This was the restaurant that impressed me the most during my three week trip to Canada. It was delicious, friendly, and good value for money. I went around 10:30 a.m. on a weekday, so it seemed like there was a lot of waiting around lunch time. I dont know about other places, but I was willing to give a tip here, and I think it would be the best choice if you come to avoid crowded times.

Nice space, good selection of beers. Easy to grab a spot to dine for one except the meat itself was not good. Sauced ends is probably a better description of their version of burnt ends... and as noted in other reviews, brisket tastes like boiled meat... Order slapped on a plate like I was in a diner.

I visited Meat recently, craving a brisket sandwich. Instead of getting juicy slices of delicious smoked brisket I was given a sandwich full of shredded brisket. While the brisket was tasty enough, it was very dry as the kitchen didnt even mix in some bbq sauce to give the sandwich back a little moisture/juiciness. I really wish you guys would do sliced brisket instead of shredded. I feel it would be so much more moist. Gonna have to seek out some other bbq in Edmonton the next time I want a brisket sandwich. On the plus side though, the service was great. The young lady who took care of me was delightful, helpful, friendly and attentive. For the service at least I would go back, if not for the sandwich.

I guess it is all in the name. If you like meat, all kinds of meat...you found your place! They have a great selection of local beers and make their own sauces for the...wait for it... meat :)

Family style dishes, definitely need multiple people to enjoy all that MEAT has to offer, the sides are incredible, the brisket and meats steal the show, especially with their hand-made BBQ sauces on the table. Really great restaurant and atmosphere!

horrible horrible place avoid, first had one server cleaning tables completly spray my face and plate with sanitizer as they were not paying attention and get my glasses dirty as we are eating the mains with the misding cornbread. Strike 1 the server says it will be a few minutes for the corn bread... during that time which was a lie we finish eating, go to the bathroom and wait another 5-10 minutes until the server finally brings out the cornbread which is meant to be as a side instead of dessert... strike 2 she litterally sets down the cornbread on dirty plates and was about to walk away until we demanded she take the dirty plates and give new cutlery! unreal thought we were in a restaurant which was trying to give worst service for a gimmick! After that took a bit to get a bill no real appologies for the delay honestly with everything that happened im shocked they didnt at the very least offer a free dessert or take the cornbread off the bill! Strike 3, avoid avoid avoid food was Ok cornbread was good, just brutal service. worst ive ever seen.

We just beat the evening rush and were seated right away. Service was excellent and the food was amazing as usual! My only let-down was the Brussels Sprouts I fell in love with were not on the menu.

Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. Had the full rack of ribs and side potatoe salad. Left feeling underwhelmed. Ribs where ok and potato salad was blah.

The food is fantastic and our server was very efficient and friendly despite the place being almost full capacity. We did go for lunch so the open space with that many people did make it difficult to visit. For a quieter visit l recommend going off the peak hours.

My husband and I went here for a birthday lunch because it was recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was fantastic. The place is clean and vibrant. Our server went above and beyond from start to finish. She was amazing and made the experience top notch. We ordered the full sampler with the extra add on. The Cherry ribs were my favorite and stood out the most for me. The coleslaw was very flavorful and the garlic fries were a nice touch. The beer selection was good and I appreciate that they had sours to choose from. Overall, our first experience was excellent and we look forward to coming back soon. I ve been consistently going to this place since it s opening and the portions and quality of food has been slowly declining. Great atmosphere though, and OKAY service. Ribs were great and the other meat was ok, the potato salad was flavourless and the garlic fries were too oily (saturated in it and the oil felt like it was probably old)

great barbecue! the sides are perfect and the burnt pork belly ends have the most mouthwatering sauce! also featured sandwich, the thanksgiving ing dinner dip, was crazy good. the brisket was a bit dry and service was a bit inattentive despite the place being empty but Id still recommend it!

We were in town to catch a play at the U of A and our daughter suggested Meat. Im not big on BBQ so I was encouraged that they had a smash burger on the menu so I gave it a try. Now Im a smash burger lover and have sampled them at 50+ restaurants and would say if you like smash burgers take a hard pass on this one. I couldnt even bring myself to finish it. When it was severed I was unhappy that it had sat long enough that the top patty had slid so far off the bottom patty that it was almost on the plate. When I attempted to slide it back the patty broke into pieces, a first for me on a smash burger. The burger itself was fairly tasteless as allI could taste was the tough bun it was served on. One of the defining things I look for in a good smash burger is the meat candy that forms of the meat was smashed on a hot enough grill and has a high enough fat content, sadly none was present on this burger. Over all this left me wishing Id chosen the chicken sandwich.

Jade did a great job of explaining the meat menu and the bourbon. Both the pulled pork and brisket were amazing. The spicy dirty rice was indeed spicy and flavourful.

The restaurant was out of three MAIN meat dishes and the cornbread. At 6:30pm on a Saturday of a long weekend. That s unacceptable. The Brisket was DRY! So disappointing. The side of Brussels sprouts were chopped up in a bowl like baby food. Over salted. Not good. The side of beans were great. The coleslaw was great. Won t go back !

Sometimes you dont need a fancy menu. You just need quality ingredients. This is what you get at meat. The best smoked protein I can ever remember having. They treat the meatst with care. The flavour of each meat comes through in its purest form. I appreciate the process and the commitment to the integrity of the product. I will be back .

It was a great smoke house with a bit of a diner and art deco feel. The interior did t match a smoke house, but thr food was good. It was pricy none the less. The platter, is more or less designed for 2 people, 3 if you are not big eaters. The side were great.

The brisket I ate today was dry and tasted like it was boiled. The sauces tasted like the sauces I d purchase at the grocery store. Another restaurant that talks the talk yet can t walk the walk. Extremely overpriced aswell.

Arrived at 9pm and they ran out of the beef brisket. Ordered the coleslaw, rib and pork belly. Coleslaw was bitter and had to change it to a salad. Rib and pork belly pieces were quite dry and hard. I would say Dicky s BBQ was better.

Excellent bbq. Maybe the best I ve had at a restaurant. Definitely worth the trip.

Came on a hot September weekend evening. We didnt have to wait long for a patio seat, and it was also our first time. Were definitely pleased with our experience and with the quality of the food and service. Would definitely come again and try the other items on the menu.

Update from original review below: Came back for dinner last night with 11 people and everything was better than ever. Thanks to Brynn for being so kind, friendly, and helpful. We had an amazing time. Would have taken pictures but we devoured it too quickly. We had family in town from the East Coast, and all of us are raving about the food here tonight. Atmosphere, meal, and customer service were all amazing. Matt was so great and knowledgeable. Thanks for everything!

We got a good selection of foods. Some (garlic fries, smash burger, burnt ends) were good. Some (pulled pork, cornbread, ribs) were okay. But the smoked sausage may have been one of the worst sausages Ive ever had. For the prices charged, I would expect better quality. Speaking quality for price, Im not sure Ive ever been less comfortable in a restaurant at that price point. Hard metal chairs, austere furnishings, an open concept and surprisingly bright lights made our dinner uncomfortable and oddly exposed. Finally, our server disappeared for long stretches. It was very empty in the restaurant, and seemed to be several servers, yet ours was barely ever seen. We had to ask for a box several times, and after I *only* tipped 15%, she came back, plopped a box on the table, and walked away without a word. Frankly, this whole experience left me baffled. 150 bucks for three people (only beverages were a single peach iced tea, and a single can of beer), average at best food, and poor service left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. Edit: management got in touch with me. Was very cordial, very professional, invited us back. So, we went. They were, again, out of items ro serve the meat sampler. So we got brisket, pork belly burnt ends, Mac and cheese, garlic fries, and coleslaw. Frankly... it wasnt good. The Mac and cheese was fine, but the pork belly burnt ends had zero char, and the brisket was dry and overdone. That said, the service was much better. Our server was very friendly and polite, and always there if we needed anything. So, we tried, but we wont be coming back. Front of house redeemed themselves, but the food just doesnt seem to be made with any sort of care.

Had a really nice experience at MEAT. Service was lightning quick and the food was quite good - that said, the star of the show is the bourbon selection. I did however have to deduct a star as the glassware provided is totally inadequate for the quality of bourbon your restaurant has. I was going to have some of the George T Stagg, but when seeing the shot glass style glass, I decided otherwise as I knew I wouldnt get the full experience from it. Please, please, please get some Glencarin glasses for those who want their whiskey neat. Your bottles of BTAC, Pappy, Michters and so on will thank you!

Ordered a smash burger with a glass of water. Im sorry but the burger was boring. Quit trying to hide the meat flavor with a slab of melted cheese. And the water tasted like it came from a toilet bowl. My tip, season your beef, add parmesan cheese to your ground beef to bring a beautiful crisp to your burger. Also.... quit feeding your customers with edmonton tap water, that water was disgusting. Also your French fries... high potential but what a let down. No one likes soggy fries. I think you cooked them with beef tallow which is a plus but either your oil was old or too cold. Im not trying to bash your company, just trying to give you feedback

I would greet meat with 6 stars if I could! When you meet at Meat, whatchu eat cant be beat. Its really neat that some is sweet and some has heat. So stop what your doing and go eat Meat. Food

Great Barbecue Restaurant, Reasonable prices, the brisket and the cherry barbecue sauce is sooooo good. Food is served for sharing so you dont need to decide exactly what youre having but its worth having someone get the ribs and someone get the brisket. Also love the garlic fries, they are wonderful with the hot mustard. Staff is friendly and the food arrived promptly really cant go wrong with this restaurant. Have been back multiple times and always had a good experience.

Honestly, the best barbecue Ive ever had. I went to a very reputable one in Calgary a month ago, and every meat here was better. We got the sampler plate. I cant believe Im going to say this put the smoked chicken was the best. Not that the others meats were not awesome, but I did not know chicken could ever taste that good.

I may have been spoiled living in the southern USA but this lunch was kind of mid. I had gone to the soft opening years ago and it was awesome. But this round it was nothing special. The brisket sandwich was missing a lot of meat and it was chopped, not sliced. But would give it another chance. The Mac and Cheese was delicious. Service was awesome.

Was having my husbands birthday dinner while in town and let me tell you, the burnt ends were like juicy clouds of meaty delight. They had just the right amount of spicy kick that made our mouths beg for more. Everything was going swimmingly, until our waitress, with the enthusiasm of a ketchup connoisseur, swooped in and snagged our bottle. Her attentive service ensured everything ran smoothly, even if she was a bit overzealous with the condiments! Despite the ketchup caper, it was a night of meaty miracles and saucy shenanigans that we wont soon forget!

I recently visited MEAT, and it was a fantastic experience. My friend had a burger, which they absolutely loved, and I tried the smoked chicken, which was incredibly flavorful and tender. The atmosphere was cozy, friendly and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. MEAT is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food and a great dining experience. Highly recommended! Weekends are busy so book your spot before you go.

Went here for a Fathers Day outing. Ambience and service were great. Ordered ribs, pork belly tips, wings and sausage. One issue...the ribs were overdone (very dry and slightly burnt). The sauces provided at the tables helped, but couldnt disguise how dry the ribs were. Spoke to a colleague who also went here recently and had the same opinion. Maybe this needs to be looked into. Otherwise, the food was good and we had a great time. The mac and cheese was excellent!

Walked in an hour before going to a play at the Westbury Theatre. We were seated on the patio right away. The server was friendly and suggested the 1lbs Cherry ribs. We added Pork Belly Ends, the Brussels Spouts and of course the Corn Bread Skillet. The food came out very fast and was delicious. Overall it was a great start to an amazing night. If you havent been here this summer you should definitely go and confirm it a really good place to eat. Vegetarian options: Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options even though it was a smoked Meat restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Many families brough their kids out and this place was well suited for them.

Vegetarian options: Don t recommend for vegetarians. As the name of the restaurant indicates, the menu focusses around meat. Kid-friendliness: I saw multiple families with kids here for dinner. It is a nicer restaurant not catered towards kids, so I would expect parents only take their kids here if they re used to restaurants and know how to sit quietly.

Meat is an amazing place to get BBQ! The staff is friendly and kind, and the atmosphere is an acquired taste. Not my scene, but still a great spot. Once you get you into the restaurant. The line ups can be long.

Awesome service, classy, prompt and kind staff that really take care of you! I picked up my food an hour late, because I waited at home for a delivery not knowing I had placed my order through skip the dishes for pick up by mistake. When I arrived the staff at Meat insisted on re-making order so it was fresh! Now that s a classy move! Thank you to the kind and considerate staff that made my meal delicious dispite my order debocle!

Tried the meat sampler, which fed 3 of us, and i liked it. Definitely feel its worth it to try if you are thinking about eating here. It gives you a good selection of different meats on the menu. Staff was also very friendly and made a great drink recommendation with the Japanese lager they had on tap!

I tried half rack of BBQ pork ribs with garlic fries and craft coke Since I don t get used to BBQ kinds of food, I didn t like it But there are four flavors of sauce and they are good. You can try different tastes. I liked the spicy sauce The garlic fries are enough garlicy and not bad If you are BBQ person, I recommend here.

First time here, it was REALLY good food! A Chipotle chicken sandwich with macaroni was had. Hubs said it was good, maybe the sauce could have been a little more evenly distrubted Got a bite of big spice, then none in another, but he loved it totally! I had the beef brisket with GF bun and loaded mash potatoes, sooo good! You can choose from the sauces on the table I added mustard...it was perfect. I can see why this place was rated so high! RECOMMENDED!

The good: lovely staff, very friendly! Fast service as well. Cornbread and Nashville chicken are highlights. Andoullie rice was a decent side. The okay: the meat itself. Pretty average. Nothing was melt in your mouth or juicy. The pork and beef were not worth the cost and did not live up to the hype.

One of the best veggie burgers in town, made from beets. This was not your traditional let s add a veggie burger and be done with it . It s even double stacked as a nod to the Big Mac. Don t let the name fool you, it s worth a Vegan or Veggie trip. They make their own beans, adding a veggie option would have been the last 1% of perfection. Check it our Meat is Non Meat friendly.

The restaurant is very open and spacious. I really like that the concept is more family style dinner. We got the meat sampler which had so many different types of meat. They had brisket, fried chicken, bbq chicken thigh and breast, ribs, andouille sausage, and pulled pork. We added the pork belly tips, and 3 sides of cornbread with honey butter, macaroni and cheese, and loaded mashed potatoes. That was enough to feed 4 adults and a 5 year old. We got all of the food insanely fast. However when we got the cornbread and loaded mashed potatoes, they were lukewarm-cold. Not sure if they dont make it fresh and pull the potatoes from a larger batch and the cornbread was already made and sitting. We asked the server and they said thats not usually the case and immediately brought out a new skillet of each. Mashed potatoes were hotter than before but cooled pretty quickly. However, other than that, the food was great. Everything was seasoned well and cooked up just right. I think the macaroni was wonderfully cheesy, the mashed potatoes yummy. Brisket tender, andouille sausage good, ribs smoked & cooked well to which you could add any of their 4 tableside sauces. I enjoyed the spicy, which was smokey with a bit of kick, and the cherry which was sweeter bbq sauces. Bourbon wasnt as much to my taste. My favorites of the samplers was the insanely tasty fried chicken, and crazy moist chicken breast/thigh. SOOOO yummy and tender and good. The pork belly tips were also excellent but almost too sauce and the sauce was spicier than I expected. I enjoyed the whole meal with my family as we were celebrating my sisters birthday! We ended with a slice of pecan pie and featured dessert. The pie was amazing flavour and not too sweet. It wouldve been nice if it was warmed a bit as it was a bit more solid than Id like for pecan pie. But it was still so yummy with the vanilla ice cream. I only had a taste of my sisters white chocolate blondie with ice cream, but it was also wonderful. I give our visit here a solid 9.5 for food and the wonderful serving staff who wanted to make sure we were satisfied with our meal!

Excellent place, very well served, simple and welcoming atmosphere. Great and tasty meats.

We came when it wasn t very busy; around 2:30pm on a Friday. Menu is clean and simple which is great if you re indecisive. Our service was pretty good, fairly quick, and efficient. Only thing is that it took a solid 5+ minutes after we sat down the get service. One quick thing I noticed: our server held the glass around the rim to refill it, which is where you drink from, so not very sanitary, but all good. There s also a sanitary door handle in the bathroom which I find is really smart! For the food, the house fries are great and really well seasoned! The brisket sandwich I found lacked juiciness and sauce, to be frank it was quite dry and couldn t taste the smokiness that much. You can use the four sauces on the table if you find you need more sauce; I liked the bourbon one. As for the pulled pork sandwich I found it to be better than the brisket one. It was much more moist, more toppings, better sauce, etc. We also asked our sandwiches to be cut in half so we could share and take one of each which they accommodated. Placed at 55$ for two plus tip I found it to be quite an average price for whyte ave. Apart from that, great experience, nice atmosphere, solid food and would definitely recommend this place.

This place is just heaven for the carnivore in you. Service is great, even at peak hours.

What can I say. MEAT is consistently soooooooooo good and serves the best southern bbq in Edmonton, IMHO. Its Edmontons not so hidden little gem. When I first discovered this restaurant many moons ago, I let my nose do the navigating on Whyte Ave. I had to find the source of what smelled so delicious. I love the casual atmosphere with family-style serving trays and people enjoying pints of beer from MEATs ample rotating taps. No stuffy wine or other formalities, although there is a limited selection of wines available if someone in your group is into vino. Its also a good place to try a shot of Bourbon or rye whisky or have one of their many Bourbon-based cocktails. They also have a number of the very tasty Philips brand sodas for any non-drinkers in your party. What about the food, you ask? Well, MEATs beef brisket is truly a dish to die for, and is always beautifully smoked and juicy - a melt in your mouth favorite. Make sure you order a pound of it and youll be served a nice pile of both the lean and fatty parts. Ive tried a lot of brisket in Edmonton and most of it is dry as a hockey puck and nowhere near as flavorful. Ribs are great, burnt ends also. One thing that sets MEAT apart is they minimally season their meats and smoke them in an 2/3 cherrywood, 1/3 hickory blend of woods, and this allows the subtle flavor of the meat to shine through. The brisket, I believe, is rubbed with salt and pepper only. Side dishes: The mac and cheese is a must have dish, as are their spicy meat beans. The beans have more smoked meat than beans - truly amazing! And I can vouch for the flavor of their Andouille Dirty Rice, made with sausage from local producer Meuwlys. I hope MEAT brings back their roasted beets, which was on their rotating menu a few years ago. The beets were sweet, tender and so very earthy. Just remember to get there early as some items sell out if you arrive past 7:30 pm. Atmosphere is usually pretty lively/energetic. Oops. Almost forgot to mention how good their house-made sauces are. Im partial to the Bourbon bbq sauce and the cherry. Great blues! Vegetarian options: There is a featured vegetarian option on their menu board every day. There also is the BEET MAC, so you can bring along your vegetarian friends and they can watch as you devour all of the succulent meat dishes youve ordered. Parking: Youll have to walk a bit if you drive. There arent a lot of parking options around this restaurant.

Brisket was so tender and juicy, and pulled pork sandwiches are awesome. We also had garlic fries, but they were too salty for me. The portion size was good for the price. We will be back again.

Last time I was here the ribs outshined the brisket, not that the brisket was bad just the ribs were that much better. This time however the brisket truly was the star of the platter, everything else was also fantastic.

Great place for dinner if you like meat. The meat (especially the brisket) was excellently cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable about food allergies. We had one celiac (gluten free) and there were lots of options. They knew cross contamination, like being able to answer that the fries were in a dedicated fryer, but one of the ribs was flash fried in the same oil as the fried chicken. Those details matter, and they were great at that. Try the sauteed brussel sprouts if they are on the menu that day. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options

decided to try this place out over the weekend, staff seemed friendly, atmosphere seemed pleasant, although was immediately a bit stunned by the advertised prices on the menu. craft coca cola was $5 for a single can. I decided to go with a featured menu item striploin with cajun butter for $30. My expectations were high because thats $30 just for the meat, no sides came with it, So i thought it must be a fairly large steak by itself.. so i ordered a full side of loaded mashed potatoes for $15. when the food arrived, I was shocked at how small the portion of meat was, I could count about 10 fairly small slices of thinly sliced striploin, probably about the same portion you could find for $6-8 at a grocery store, and it was probably the saltiest piece of meat ive ever eaten, and i like salty foods! it was so salty I could barely finish the last slice, I tasted nothing related to cajun, or butter, the meat wasnt dry.. but thats because whatever it absorbed was extremely salty because thats all you could taste to an extreme level. The loaded mashed potato was okay, portion size seemed fair for what it offered and the price. Between myself and my SO, our bill came to about $85, but ultimately I felt pretty ripped off and jilted at the pricing, the portion, and the quality. its one dish in the menu, I know I shouldnt let that sour my experience, but first impressions count and I cant say Id ever return again or recommend the food to anyone else after all that.

As good as real Texas barbecue

I have had BBQ in Montana, California, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and different spots in Alberta. This is my favourite BBQ food. I find every dish, including sides to be excellent. Granted you pay Alberta prices, and dinner for 2 including drinks ran around $100, but there were left overs and the service was great. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

A local Edmonton diner with seating on long tables for all ages. This place is known for its meats that are smoked for many hours, which fall apart on your plate and are delicious. You can add flavors with their homemade sauces. Food is served family style on cookie sheets. Tasty drinks as well, and its Caeser cocktails are made with bourbon.

You literally MUST try the honey butter cornbread before you die

The overall review of this place is great. The food tasted amazing, particularly loved the rack of ribs juicy fall of the bone deliciousness and burnt pork ends, a wonderful spice to it. The service was attentive and courteous. Atmosphere was relaxed but buzzing aside from your local hipsters who spoke annoying loud about 1. The woman who was disinterested in him for i don t know why, maybe she s just crazy (it was the skinny jeans beanie and beard dude don t fool yourself) 2. The local breweries should invest more into places like this. (Menu had more than half local breweries on it). And 3. I could made it better than this (do it then, stay home and let actual considerate patrons enjoy their meals). All in all a wonderful outing. Dinner and a drama show. Lol Pro tip: give those bbq bottles a nice good shake before you use them. Wheelchair accessibility: Didn t recall any steps, front foyer had plenty of space and doors open wide to accommodate wheelchairs. Tables are low enough. Washrooms may cause for some difficulty though.

We order the sampler platter with extra brisket and everything was 5 star.

This place has great food. We ordered the 4-person platter, which sadly I didnt take a picture of. We actually ate almost all of it, which made me feel good that there wasnt a pile of waste. This place is worth the jaunt to Whyte ave.

If you like meat, whether it be beef, chicken or pork, you HAVE to go here! Ive been here a few times and every time its been phenomenal. As soon as we walked in the front door, we were greeted by a friendly employee who sat us right away at our own table. The restaurant is set up with mostly long tables so if you go in a larger group, this place has tables big enough to accommodate that. The chairs dont look comfortable, but they are just fine, dont worry about it! I had the beef brisket (get a full pound, youll want leftovers to take home when youre craving it for a late night snack!) and for sides I ordered the cornbread which is served in a cast iron skillet topped with a delicious honey butter. Also ordered mac and cheese (you need to try this!) and also the warm southern coleslaw which was absolutely delicious! For drinks, I recommend you get a coffee, yes plain regular alcohol free coffee, but drink it black, youll want to enjoy the bourbon notes. Its a medium bodied coffee with a very smooth taste. I also tried a hot drink which I cant remember the name of but it was an early grey tea I believe with Baileys, vanilla liquor of some sort and cinnamon stick. So good! For dessert, yes, you need to get dessert, we ordered the creme brulee but it was orange infused. The crackle top was perfect and very pleasing to break through. The creme brulee was so smooth and silky. It reminded me of the Terrys orange chocolates but way more elegant or perhaps bougie. Id go back just for the dessert. Service was fast and the employees all seem quite pleasant exuding such positive energy and at no time did I feel rushed. Staff are happy to give recommendations if you cant decide on what to get. Once you start your meal, its as if your surroundings disappear and the only thing in life is the amazing mouth watering tender, flavorful food in front of you. The beef brisket falls apart and the flavor is on point. You want to get some burnt ends if you can because thats where you get a lot of the (what Id call) crusted or maybe seared flavor. There is parking in front, but not many spaces so go up the alley behind the building and park there. After 6pm the parking lot is open to the public to park there. I went around 1pm and the restaurant mightve been at about 30-40% occupancy but like I said, once your food is in front of you, nothing else matters!

One of the best pork bellies I ve ever had! Changing my reviews because I brought my family and friends here to try the pork belly but the pork belly we had were so hard.. there were barely fats :( I was kinda embarrassed lol Food

We had an amazing experience here, very busy place but got seated relatively quickly. We (2 people) ordered the meat sampler, lots of meat, but we were hungry and polished it off. Every piece of meat on that sampler was amazing! We especially enjoyed the fried chicken and the pulled pork! Absolutely the best meat weve eaten in any restaurant ever! Even the pickle was good! Its a family friendly restaurant. Service was also great. And Id love to get their recipe for their house made bbq sauces!

I ve been to MEAT a couple of times over the years and I have tried almost everything on the menu. The atmosphere is quite lively and the food is good and consistent. Their chicken has remained a favourite at this place and I d rate them overall an 8.3/10

I stopped going when you guys stopped, making the beef burnt ends I checked the menu from time to time to see if the old menu is back, I tried the pork belly burnt ends,but it s just like eating cubes of fat with sauce on it.. I hope one day I can go back there Food

Probably my favourite place to get bbq in Edmonton. The assortment of meats from the brisket, pork ribs, pulled pork, and sausages are all tasty and tender. The barbecue sauce is fantastic!

A friend took me here for my first time and not only did we wait almost an hour for our food to come out but they were completely unapologetic about it. We watched people come in, order, eat and leave while we waited only to be told once I flagged down a server, there was a mixup in the kitchen and itll be right out. The food was good but the experience very disappointing.

Eat Meat! Have eaten here a few times over the years and most recently my wife and I drove all the way from BC to enjoy Meat! Well there were other reasons. But I was happy to share this wonderful place with her. The dishes are so yummy that I cant stop eating. Service is perfect and food is exceptional.
