It s very amazing to have a dinner here

I dont understand why the rating is lowered. We ordered dinner for 10 people. We received everything we agreed on in advance, and even more. The waiters attention is top notch. The food is very tasty!!! Since there were 10 of us, we tried almost everything on the menu. Meat, seafood, salads, desserts and drinks (very tasty alcoholic cocktails). We were very pleased Thank you very much! Kid-friendliness: Yes, there is a childrens menu.

We went there for dinner on 08/23/24. Yes the patio had a beautiful view. The servers were great. The food not so much! I ordered the half rack of ribs $39 Would not recommend at all. Came with a tiny piece of corn on the cob, and a spoon full of not very good slaw. Flavour of the ribs was just awful. The prices here in no way match the quality of food served. My husband had the meatballs and said it was ok but that to was $34 and we both left the restaurant feeling disappointed and hungry. Most definitely will not return or recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Great patio in the summer for drinks

Our family had a wedding at Riverside Bistro. We cannot say enough good things about this venue. Good food, good drinks, excellent service! The owner/chef is an amazing man and makes you feel so comfortable. The cost was surprisingly reasonable for what we received. Kid-friendliness: We had a 1 1/2 year old ring bearer and he required a few walks. There was no problem with us coming and going on the veranda. I just cannot say enough good about this place. The Meal was excellent, the staff amazing. Nice and clean and very well organized. It was very affordable compared to other venues we had looked at. You won t make a bad choice if you chose this fine restaurant for a meal and or drinks!

Amazing view, great service and the food is good too (not fantastic) and pricy since its inside Marriot Courtyard, overall I definitely recommend trying it due to the unforgettable view.

Went to have a couple of drinks before we headed out on the town. Barely got to drink one and pay. Service was very slow. Waiter told us they were busy but there was 2 other couples outside and a handful inside? My drink was okay, got the gin and prosecco drink and it was fine, tasted like prosecco and orange rind. Nothing special. View on patio is great but inside is generic hotel lobby bar.

Beautiful place with over looking view. They serve good b fast and kids loves it too. And kudos to server Phong for providing us top-notch service. We re not familiar in town and yet, he recommended us beautiful choices for some activities to be done. Very professional and knowledgeable in his work.

Went for my birthday. Great service and food, amazing views from the patio and child friendly. Dietary restrictions: Food for all Kid-friendliness: Its in a hotel so kids are there too.

Was staying in the hotel and got some room service, which was up promptly. The side fries were by far the star of the meal, super well seasoned and delicious, but the main dish, my blt and my girlfriends omlette, were both bland and lacking in flavour and seemed lacking in spices of any kind.

The view of the river was very beautiful, as for the view from the other side, its just a gloomy gray building. Regarding food: we ordered burgers and potatoes, the burger had an spicy sauce that was not warned about. The potatoes were delicious. The cocktails were tasteless, one water, Im already silent that there was no alcohol in them, but the cocktails themselves were unleavened . I probably wouldnt have come to this place again.

The best poutine till date must visit

Beautiful location on a beautiful day, which may have been why the staff were a little bit busy and slow to get over to service our table. Food was very good, expensive, but good and staff were pleasant, but obviously not enough staff to go around for all of the tables.

Great views from the patio but I wish they would support even just one of our many great Edmonton breweries.

Great views and outdoor deck. Service was excellent. Had 2 drinks - Strawberry Daiquiri and Frozen mango margarita. Drinks were not great. Daiquiri had strawberry purée- no fresh strawberries, not much for flavour. Mango margarita was terrible- no flavour.

Beautiful location, a great opportunity for so much more out of the property & restaurant than what currently resides in this space. The vibe and atmosphere most certainly does not match the food quality, menu, and costly experience. The patio at 8 pm on a hot Saturday evening sitting 1/4 full should have told us something when we sat down. The view is great but I can go to 80 other restaurants within the downtown core that have a way better atmosphere, service and food. Shared the fish tostadas as an appetizer and it was delicious, but the entrees that followed were gross and left us with heart burn and completely bloated the rest of the evening. The blended mango margarita was a nasty ice chunked texture- for $18 I can make a much better one at home for a fraction of the cost. So not sure if this is the bartender who needs to know how to use the blender accordingly or the management who needs to purchase a better quality kitchen tool my Sauvignon blanc wine was not great either, certainly not fresh and a warm temperature (on a 23 degree evening). Is the Prime Rib burger the ones from Costco? I can literally get a better burger from Burger King for $3 not $30. Actually sickening how terrible this food was. The half rack of ribs for $40 were quite costly and most certainly did not fall off the bone which was expected. The layers of spices followed by sauce did not sit well with my stomach. Terrible. Does this restaurant have a chef? Or a quality check? Not sure about the management who oversees the functionality and the menu and clientele. For a Marriott chain this entire place is disappointing. Surprised by the lack of interior decor as it is just painted drywall and plain lighting which feels like an average hotel. The conference room off the patio to exit was ghetto to walk through. Why not make this room a much greater space given the view. The patio could use an uplift. How about some live music like a saxophone player on Saturday evenings. There is so much potential here.. Overall the entire main floor should be looked at on a business perspective on how the flow and functionality work to deliver a great customer experience that leave clients wanting to come back or even stay in the hotel. I would never return. There are so many other places I can go where both atmosphere and food quality are top notch.

I have been a regular customer. But today, I came with my family and there is this Chinese guy who always greets me with warmth but today I just entered the restaurant, before I was about to ask him for a table for four. I asked him can my father use the restroom and he said in a rude tone, this is not a public washroom . Very disrespectful especially considering, I use to eat here, every weekend.

Just wow experience with this place.I tried to book a table 3 times,two times while I called nobody answer,3-th time finally when they take a call they ask me to wait a second.This second was about 15 min,then I hung up.Today we ve been not too far from Fairmont and decided to try this place despite previous experience.We came in,waiter ask as to wait to check free table in terrace and that s it.We were waiting about 20 min,no one came.While we were waiting there was a calls nobody answer and few people try to catch waiters.Its a wasting as a place with such a view and service from another side..

was super excited to check this place out but the domes aren t clear enough to see out of, service is slow from domes even though they were near empty, food has probably been left sitting underneath the lamp too long or made with hate, and on top of that a $50 extra charge with $200 minimum spend just to be unsatisfied. do not recommend this place even if you were thinking about going here.

To start off I called a day prior to reserve. I asked if they could accommodate the party since it was a large group. I made sure to ask ! They said yes but I would have to preorder and I did that and confirmed in the morning prior to. Then when I got there, a little late but I called and let them know, there were two tables pushed together to form a longer table but it wasn t the amount of seats I requested. I had to ask again for extra chairs before my guests arrived. Then, food was horrible and around three people kindly returned the food. The waitress argued with my brother about the state of his food after he told her it tasted off. Eventually she took back the food. Then another guest sent their food back because of a food preference/allergy, which isn t their fault but it took them till the end when everyone was done to actually bring out his food, his food even came after his mother s who ordered just before the end of the dinner lol. The waitress and waiter had zero communication skills, we would order from her, he would show up, confused when we asked for our items and vice versa. She brought my starter with incorrect order then came back 30 minutes later with the missing chicken. I sent that back. Remember at the beginning I was there first so I told him exactly how to split the bill, he came back with a $200+ bill for only myself with three starters on the bill that I asked previously to be split for everyone. Additionally, no birthday vibes were felt. Not even a festive song or dessert. The manager was a proper unprofessional presentation. Telling me there s nothing he can do, other than remove her food from the table, about the dissatisfaction after they put us through a terrible experience for my sister s bday. Every single person was dissatisfied with the service. It felt like they were running around with no clue what to do next. Our original waiter was definitely pleasant at first and I get being frustrated because it was a large party. But it wasn t like we were pressuring or rude till they were rude.

Great services, good food and wonderful ambience

When I go to Edmonton, this is the place to go in the summer. The patio is wonderful and the views are exceptional. The River valley in Edmonton is so beautiful and this restaurant showcases that.

Ordered a drink (whiskey sour) and the server brought a flat drink (no foam) and tells me after that the barman dont do white eggs in their drink. Just to realize once Im ready to pay that HE was the barman... Why not tell me this before I order an 18$ drink thats not technically made as its supposed to be ...

DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY HOLIDAY MENU BUFFET EVENTS! The recent Mothers Day lunch/brunch buffet hosted here can only be described as a complete cash-grab. While the event was completely booked up and packed, the actual buffet operations was chaotic and the food was disappointing considering a $71/person price before tax. Upon arrival, despite our groups reservation, the table only had 3 sets of cutlery, and we were told that we had to share one crab opener across 5 people, which was ridiculous considering most people probably felt the crab legs were the price-justifying item. Furthermore, during the busy hours, many of the buffet trays (including the shrimp, mussel, and crab tray) were empty. The buffet spread itself was quite disappointing, only maybe 6-7 real selection items laid across a single long table (two of which were scrambled eggs and potatos...). The salmon was cured, so extremely salty and it would be hard to eat more than 1 serving. The carving station had roast beef that was extremely dry and ham. The quality of some food items were okay, but for the price tag and the way it was listed on the menu, definitely felt like paying Michelin-star prices for McDonalds. For comparison, the Crack the Crab buffet at the River Cree is only $69.99 and includes 20 unique non-dessert buffet items. Table ended up with an almost $500 bill, and the worst part was that we were upset this scam happened when the intent was to genuinely provide a good experience to mom for Mothers Day. Only redeeming qualities were the view from the venue and the service of the waiting staff.

We made a reservation for a birthday night. First of all they did not provide the asked specifications. Which is okay, as they then completed the set up upon our arrival. It was a cold night and the heater that they had put up kept turning off every 2 mins due to increased load (ironically there was no one other than us in any of the igloos). It wasn t working from the very beginning so it was something that they could have verified before our arrival. We gave them plenty of chances to fix it because we wanted to stay in the igloo. They failed each time and we finally asked to leave. We only stayed in the igloo for 20 mins and they still tried to charge us for the igloo fee. We had to spend 30 mins talking to waitresses, assistant manager etc who kept arguing. No body apologised for spoiling a special night. Left and went to Earls later, saved the night. <3

Made a reservation for a birthday night, didn t go as planned at all. First, the dome we booked wasn t working properly as the heating was going on and off making the dome very cold. The staff said that this was due to excess load but we were the only ones in the dome that night, all the other domes were empty. Secondly, there was no birthday decoration in the dome when the person who took my reservation confirmed beforehand that there will be birthday decorations, that spoiled the vibe as we entered the dome. After that, the food was also not good, the bread they served was burnt and not good at all. We spent 30 min talking to the staff who kept on arguing and didn t listen to us. Not a good experience at all.

Was there for lunch and froze the entire time. Even my legs and feet were cold. Mentioned this to the waiter a few times. Ordered soup and salad and soup was also cold when it arrived. My friend had a rice bowl with a small piece of salmon and just that dish was $40! Highly over priced, very poor environment. Ill never go back.

We went there on March 30th for my daughter s 16th birthday. Received awesome service from Mark, Leon and Ronalyn(sorry if I spelled the name wrong) Ronalyn was very professional and knowledgeable. All of them were very happy too. Food was good and amazing view. We will be back on Mothers day for dinner. :)

We recently visited riverside bistro to celebrate my husbands birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The food was average, nothing special, but the service was disappointing. Our server seemed distant and uninterested, didnt offer any recommendations or check in on us during the meal. It felt like we were an afterthought. The ambiance was also lacking - no music, nothing to create a welcoming atmosphere. Considering it was a special occasion, we expected a bit more effort to make us feel celebrated. Instead, it felt like just another ordinary meal, Overall, we left feeling unimpressed and not particularly eager to return. Maybe theyll improve their service and ambiance in the future, but for now, we wouldnt recommend it. Pros: Average food Cons: Poor service, uninviting ambiance, no special treatment for special occasions

Food was decent but overpriced. Service had to many faux pas, not sure what our servers ( Indian fellow) problem was but he was distant and not very friendly.

The food was freshly made, with unique flavour combinations that were delightful. A varied menu that had great options for fresh healthy meals - a refreshing change during business travel. This kitchen / chef are *chefs kiss*. The view of the valley doesnt hurt either.

Amazing place

We showed up with no reservation, hoping to celebrate my birthday in a Dome. Zadan made that happen. He gave us exceptional service and made me feel so special as the birthday girl. I can t thank the team at Riverside bistro enough for the night I spent with friends celebrating.

We went for dinner with the family and we had a great experience. The food was good except for the portions to the price were not proportional. They appear overpriced for what you get on the plate.

We had supper in the igloo last night. Great experience, food was amazing, nice to have our own music playing as well. The wind chill was -39 so the heaters were running full-time. There was an understandable cold draft at foot level, but everything was a lot of fun. Food

We opted for the outside winter river valley view. Costs extra to sit in an almost semi transparent messy plastic bubble where you cant even see a star in the sky let alone anything else, we had to fix the structure in 2 places that were clearly broken. Waiter was PUSHY to the point of obnoxiously asking for an upsell at least 5 times each moment he came by, in fact that seemed his only purpose as service definately lacked. But those $20/ounce shots were proffered at least a dozen times over the course of the meal even after being told firmly NO, thank you! The domes are woefully under heated and we froze the whole time even after mentioning how cold it was our server found no upsell in that so he just ignored us, no offer of another heater or to bring us inside (which was empty) even after we mentioned it. We were dressed for cold and it was only -12 outside, I doubt it was in any way above zero in our dome. So rather than advertising it as heated, warm and cozy perhaps cold, uncomfortable and boring would be better? Food was actually *really* good but portions are SMALL. The 10 ounce steak was maybe 8 at best? Almost nothing for sides with a main. The tartare is at best an appetizer for one maybe enough to put on one of the 3 slices of baguette on the plate. Will not be returning, it is easy to find food just as good a half a dozen places with better service, prices and portion within 2 blocks.

Amazing views

Wonderful anniversary dinner here in one of the outside domes. Food was delicious, especially the steak and sticky toffee puddings. Dome was very quiet and well decorated. Got a little chilly later in the evening but they did provide some blankets. Would definitely come back again.

Dinner was a good experience in the outdoor igloo, the setting had a nice & cosy ambiance to it, our server was very polite and I would consider having dinner here again. I did add a photo that reflects the dinner menu for Jan.2023 along with a few pictures of the setting for our evening. Parking: 15 dollars is a little steep for the evening flat rate , and I would have preferred an hourly rate. This is the paid parking lot right in front of the hotel.

It s a shame the restaurant and patio are a beautiful place , atmosphere. The food was not great, no selection and very over priced! Very disappointed. The service was ok not great definitely a shame the place has potential. I wouldn t visit again unless new men and staff!!

$50 Igloo fee gets you the opportunity to eat outdoors in a fake plastic Iglooish tent. It was a neat experience, that perhaps you really just need to do once. Servers were prompt and pleasant. They recognize this is a novelty dinning experience and we re happy to take photos. Food quality was great, and was even served hot after being transported through the outdoors. The igloo comes with uniquely themed decor, blankets, mood lighting, wireless Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music within the igloo. The views were would be nice in the daylight and the city/bridge lights were nice to see at night. The ground around the igloos can get quite icy so be careful. Bookings can be made on open table Dress warm. It was toasty warm in our igloo as it comes with a heater, but do keep in mind it was only -1 degrees. Have fun everyone, it will be a memorable experience for you.

Took my wife to the patio dining domes for her birthday. We had a very enjoyable time in our themed dome. The service was top notch, the food was prepared quickly and was very tasty and the beverages were excellent. I highly recommend a dinner in a heated dome for any special occasion here.

Reserved the outside domes for dinner. We had 3 space heaters and a blanket to keep us warm which did the job in -20c. Food was great; the steak was a bit underwhelming though. Servers were curtious and helpful

The staff is nice and keep a good eye on low coffee etc. The breakfast buffet is OK, not a 5 or 4 star rating worth one and fairly expensive but does the job.

Had food poisoning after but food was good

Server ignored us for the last 15 minutes the place was open just so we didn t get to order a main. Literally came to our table 1 minute before the kitchen closed asking if we wanted our bill. Horrible, would never ever recommend this place.

We booked the domes for an anniversary for my parents and they absolutely loved it. We brought our 6 month old and it was cozy and warm in the dome so we were all very comfortable. The food was delicious and a wide range of custom selections! Parking: Plenty of parking right next to the hotel. Kid-friendliness: High chair available

Went to the domes on the patio. Very good food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely make it a regular thing. Unfortunately they double charged us for parking and when told about it, did nothing. Look out for yourself parking, front desk staff dont care. Food

After a long day on a business trip this was a private experience in the domes with an excellent server (rona) thank you very much riverside this will most definitely be my spot when I come back. Brilliant views and food. Highly recommend the bison! Melt in your mouth meat!

We went for the dome experience.. Beautifully set up with an amazing view for pictures. Staff was attentive and on point. Very friendly. Food was mediocre at best and disappointing for how nice of an establishment Could find better at this price point

The steak knife was duller than a blind date. bare table with no plates or anything to set cutlery on, Its somewhat unsanitary. service was good, I eat at several fine dining spots per yr usually 1 per month. the view is good but the rest falls short even when registered again butter nut tree or other failures . even for gourmet or fine dining standard it not good value.

Breakfast Buffet was a rip-off. The buffet is what you would get at a hotel that serves a regular buffet breakfast for free, except this place charged $24+ for it. The food was mediocre. I dont usually post bad reviews as I am a huge Marriott fan, but this was not Marriott standards by a long shot.

Amazing little place to go. Thank goodness for Google showing us this location. The food was pretty good, but it is all about the atmosphere and the service staff was amazing. Additionally, there was somebody playing live music at the time and it sounded awesome. Would go back in a heartbeat, would probably order something different.

Loved the place and food

This is a nice little gem that I randomly discovered with a friend. The view of the river is really nice and the food was really decent. The tandoori poutine was delicious! Ill remember this spot for taking people from out of town to show them a nice view of the river.

The bubble or dome was great! Really cozy and very romantic if youre looking for a place to take the significant other, highly recommend this place.

Booked the dome for my parents wedding Anniversary. Nice ambiance, food was not up to the expectation of Marriot. Overall very nice experience and the dome dinnning is a must try.

We had the pleasure of enjoying our Christian party here and boy oh boy Dan delivered. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was wonderful. I cant say enough great things about last nights meal.Highly recommend and we will for sure be back.

Opted for the dinner in the dome. We had the scallops as an appetizer and the duck breast and steak frites for the entrees. The scallops were a bit of a disappointment. They were a bit rubbery and over cooked a touch but they tasted pretty good. Luckily the entrees were overall excellent. I quickly forgot about the appetizer within the first bite of the duck. Service was good. It was nice that a button was provided to call for service but it wasn t necessary as our server came quite often to check in on us. Parking was expensive but it s to be expected with the location The experience of being in the dome and the view of the city was great. Parking: Free parking is far away from the actual restaurant

Views were lovely, food was alright but overpriced. Service was great while we dined and they even gave my mom a complementary cake slice for her birthday. One issue that made me wary going in was the inconsistent communication when I called to reserve an igloo. I got conflicting information about whether our reservation was confirmed or not from several staff members and had to keep calling to get a straight answer. Overall, the igloo dining was a unique experience and I would recommend it

Went for a birthday drink today at lunch. Monday noon. We left because of the absolutely VULGAR music they were blasting. Totally not what one would expect at NOON at this type of establishment. I dont mind music in the background, but I dont need F-words and vulgarities at lunchtime. Who picks this music?

The place is beautiful for sure...both night and day but the server maria, gave the wrong vibe when we walked in, as if she was bothered, and the ridiculous thing, we were asked to leave, when we paid $50 for the dome itself. We hardly stayed there for There was 3 other domes, nothing getting set up. Very bad experience. I would not really suggest the place.

Cannot even get through the call, been holding over 15 mins. Heard some good reviews from some friends but apparently they are extremely busy on a Monday 2 PM.

Absolutely ridiculous I had requested igloo dining 3 days in advance for our 10th year anniversary. I had been calling all 3 days to get a hold of them to confirm that I had igloo dining booked and unfortunately wasnt able to get a hold of them. They got back to me few hours before my reservation to let me knwo that the outdoor dining was booked. Unfortunately its so last minute that I cant find any other place for dinner. Thank you for ruining our day.

We had a wonderful meal in a cute bubble/igloo under lights overlooking the Frozen River while the snow fell around us. I highly recommend this!

Excellent view and Service...

I made a dome reservation for dinner on feb 5 2022 1:21pm for feb 26th dinner (post birthday celebration). My great surprise today was that no reservation was done and they were fully booked. Their excuse is that I needed to call to confirm I actually got my dinner reservation. It doesnt make sense if I already called and a spot was given to me why should I call again to confirm I got my reservation. We travel all the way from another city for the weekend. We could have stayed in another hotel but we decided to stay there just for the dome reservation experience. Very disappointing service, they reach to me for indoor dining which I denied as is not what i reserved for, might as well go somewhere else. Proof of my call attached.

Great experience. Amazing food!

The domes are really fun. It does get expensive if theres only 2 people. But if you split the $50 between 4 or 6 people, its reasonable. There were 3 little space heaters so everyone was nice & toasty warm. The hotel also has light fleece blankets if you extra warmth. The service was great & our server was awesome making sure we had everything we needed. The bugers were awesome, according to my friends. I had the salmon which was fantastic. It was a great meal & the sun came out in the afternoon, which also warmed the dome. Its a great view of both downtown & the river valley. I highly recommend eating in the domes with friends.

I visited this place a few days back ,have to say it was not a very pleasant experience ,neither there was a soothing atmosphere as the washroom of my sweet was not in a proper working condition neither did I received any assistance or help form the staff members and i had to face a lot of difficulty during my stay with them and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Completely disappointing experience. Thank You.

Exceptional service with solid menu suggestions. Great experience and one of the best views in Edmonton. This is going to become a staple of our Sunday afternoons.

We go here for the view not the food. The menu is somewhat limited and I find it more expensive than other restaurants in the downtown area. I guess we are paying for the view!

Very disappointed. The waitress today was very rude. We came all the way from US just to experience this bistro.

My lunch at the Riverside bistro was one of the worst experiences I ve ever had at a restaurant. We took our nephew who is a pilot with A major airline to lunch. It took over 2 1/2 hours to get a small soup and salad combo. They muttered something about the tape with the order had run out so our order was lost. The explanation made no sense. They offered no compensation and threw a plate of truffle fries (French fries sprinkled with Parmesan) on our table which no one wanted. I guess that was to fill the void while we continue to wait for our order. To add insult to injury, we had to hunt somebody down to get our bill. I appreciate that there has been staff shortages due to Covid but this was clearly not the case. I am not one to ever write reviews but this experience was both expensive and embarrassing.

Views are spectacular but food is pretty mediocre.

Best view of the river valley from an outside patio. Visitors were very impressed. Appetizer was also good along with ice cold beer.

Tried the below dishes : Margarita flat bread which was naan topped with cheese n arugula - not worth $15 for sure Bistro Chicken sandwich with a side of truffle fries - it was okayish Mediterranean inspired veggie burger with a side of sweet potato fries - burger was good but fries were really bad so bad and soggy, try the burger not those fries For dessert we tried the coffee Panna cotta. It was decent too. Overall average experience considering that you pay for the view and the view itself wasn t worth spending so much on

Great taste, great value. Best view in town, in terms of bistros. Menu is somewhat limited though, and the choice of mozzarella didnt seem to match the salad. The duck salad was good. Vegetarian options: Good choices for vegans and vegetarians

We went yesterday as a group of 7 people. They seated us in a very uncomfortable high seats, then we went paying they told us that there is an 18% extra charge for group of 7 or more that came to $65 which we were not made aware of it when we reserved for 7 people, but the worst was that my mom ordered a sea food pasta and got food poisoned by it and spent the rest of night and today vomiting. I would not recommend this restaurant to nobody.

Great view with friendly service. Definitely on the pricier side and a bit slower but for a relaxing lunch enjoying the view it was perfect. We had the fig and goat cheese flatbread and the margherita flatbread. They were both on the smaller side and at $17 were a bit overpriced. The fig one was definitely the better of the two. Great flavours and would buy again even at that price. The margherita one felt bland and didnt really taste like anything. The crust for both was delicious. We also got the yam fries to share as a side since we saw how small the flatbread were before ordering and really glad we did. They were delicious and crispy. The side spicy mayo they gave was also great but ask for two cause they only give one and thats not enough. We would definitely go back since they definitely have the best patio in the city but wished they had a bit more selection on their menu. They apparently have a different menu for dinner so will have to try that.

Awesome view from the patio of the river for sure. The food was very good. A bit slow in getting the food to us, there was not many in the restaurant hence only 4 stars. On a general comment, I get it that finding good service staff is hard so my comments following are in thought of the current situation with the great resignation. BUT Our server was extremely introverted! To the point where we could not hear them speaking to us. Eye contact was non existent and they really looked like they didnt want to be there. Thank goodness it was not busy cause I personally think they may have gone into the fetal position and would rock in the corner. I honestly felt bad for this person, they really should not be in that position. Please be patient with all our service industry staff right now, times are very hard.

Good choices on the menu

Thornton room for 50th wedding Anniversary - A BEAUTIFUL VENUE!! A PERFECT venue, for 40 - 60 persons Wedding /Anniversary or for that matter any function. We were very pleased with our experience in the Thornton Room at the Marriott Courtyard Edmonton. On Friday night we were allowed to come in early to decorate, only to find the room beautifully set up....even with floral centerpieces. Wed brought tablecloths and some 50th decorations etc., all we did was to add some 50th decorations. Sara and Gary were our first contacts at the Hotel and were very easy to deal with, even when there was a detail missed. Sara was always quick to respond to our many questions and we appreciated her promptness. Executive Chef Pawanjit Singh - THANK you for preparing the delicious food!!! The Italian menu/meal we chose was a hit - especially the melt in your mouth breasts of Chicken with Lemon/caper sauce and the Roasted red pepper soup were favorites !! On Friday night we dealt with 2 very nice gentlemen - Sorry we didnt get their names. : -( They were both very helpful and accommodating. Ive attached a picture of our bartender and the waitress ( she made sure the food was refilled/plentiful, she also cleared tables & took drink orders etc.) We are Thankful to them - both were very pleasant and willing to please. All in all - we cant THANK everyone enough for making our 50th Wedding Anniversary VERY memorable!! We highly recommend, having any 40 - 60 person function at the Marriott Courtyard Edmonton!!! Loved the gnocchi it was so good. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the taste is very good. Also they have beautiful dinner domes on the patio that you could have a wonderful date in.

This was a different experience - dining under a plastic dome outdoors, in winter. We had 7 in our group so it was a bit cramped but no worries because we needed the heat. The food was excellent but expensive. It would be a great idea for a date.

Such a nice view

November 20 2021, we just had my sisters birthday in the igloos. Words cannot express how amazing this experience was. The views, service, and especially the food all top notch. I would highly recommend this for any occasion from girls night out to intimate dinner with your partner. I will definitely be coming back and doing this again. If I could give it more than five stars I definitely would.

Went for the igloo outdoor eating experience. Igloo had two heaters running and was warm (weather outdoors -8 celcius). Could eat without jacket on. Igloo $50 with needing to purchase at least $100 in food--> total $150 minimum to spend in igloo. 90 min for igloo, firm. So if kitchen is backed up and you get your food late and the 90 min period is up, they seat you indoors so you can finish your meal. Portion sizes were large enough for sharing at times, prices decent. Excellent service and hospitality. Would go here again.

Look to the Marriott for bigger review experience with dome dining

Visited today to experience dome dining. Food was great no doubt about that! I understand that there is demand for the experience, but 90 minutes did not feel enough time to fully immerse in the experience considering it does take time to get the food plus the $50 fee for reservation. We didnt have enough time to feel that we could get drinks or dessert, and we only had enough time to eat quickly. I know the server is suppose to remind us of our time, but it felt even more rushed as he kept reminding us almost every time he came by.

I took my wife to this amazing venue for her birthday. Loved the kaleidoscope of colors for the igloos; the menu was varied and the food was finger licking good!!! Customer Service was at its best and the view, breathtaking. This novel idea of fine dining, truly provided memorable moments!!!
