Always my fav breakfast place. Staff are the friendliest I have ever had in town.

The Elvis Pressley French Toast and Hathaways Muffins were excellent. The French toast was unfortunately missed on the first call and my wife and I ended up sharing the muffins as a sort of first course followed by the French toast as a sort of dessert. The staff identified the delay themselves and handled the whole situation very professionally. If we are in the area again I will eat here again.

I ve been coming to Hathaways for years and I ve gotta say the food has always remained great! Doesn t matter what day I go my food is always cooked perfectly. The last couple times I ve gone in, my partner and I have been lucky to have the waitress with the orange hair and her service has been TOP-NOTCH!! The past Saturday was really busy when we were in but she took the time to make us feel welcome and she always recommends the best pie flavours!!

Came in for 1st time this week. Left as waitress was rude. She just talks and didnt listen...in fact was walking away as were trying to reply. And no it wasnt busy. 4 people at the time. The other waitress came out to the car to apologize. That was really nice. We went to Jay bees instead.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Edmonton. Their menu is delicious and has such a variety of options. I personally recommend the egg s benny to anyone who wants to try it! The place is so accessible.

Food always great. We ve been here for breakfast before. On Google, it says 3:30pm is their closing time. On Tuesday we went there a few minutes after 2:00pm all the way from south of Edmonton, and they turned us away because the kitchen is closed . I don t know if it is normal, or diners are supposed to be visited only during breakfast or brunch, but if their business hours says 3:30pm, then they should honour it. I understand if they turn us away at around 3:00, but it s just 2:00pm.

Had the Clubhouse and the turkey had gone bad. Needless to say Ive been suck all night. Such a disappointment.

This place should be on the TOP 10 list of Edmonton eateries! Upon entering the restaurant, the place is 100% full occupancy and full of infectious laughter. The lineup continued outside and down the sidewalk. The breakfast hamburger steak was the best Ive ever had, gravy - incredible, medium poached eggs perfection and hash browns to die for. Mitch, (the owner) was at every table ensuring everyones breakfast was to their liking. He also surprised my wife and I with a slice of their coconut cream pie...all pies made by his Mom. This establishment is worthy of an award winning place on Guy Fieries Triple D. So, please expand your operation and open a place here in Spruce Grove, wed love to have you!!!

I went to the new Hathways diner in St. Albert this Tuesday and had just the best experience. Our server Emma was lovely and very attentive. The managers made sure to stop by and ask about the food. One of the managers Jacquie was so accommodating and pleasant to chat to. Thank you so much Hathways!

Honestly the best diner I have been to in Edmonton. I was unsure if I should even try this place at first because I like to stick to what I know is good, however coming here for the first time really changed my mind about where to eat. I will be choosing this diner over any other one in Edmonton now!

Stopped in for breakfast. Staff is super friendly and inviting, the diner itself is kinda cool and eclectic with everything hanging on the walls. I ordered the big breakfast and it lived up to the name everything tasted really good and was cooked exactly how i ordered it only thing I d change is next time i think I ll ask for a double toast on the sourdough. Will be back for sure to try other menu items and you can never go wrong with the pie>

Words cannot say how amazing this place is! The food is fantastic, the staff are amazing and their pie, OMG good. The owner took time to greet us and if you are in the Edmonton area this is a MUST stop.

Went for the pie and hype; pie was inedible and the experience did not live up to the word of mouth. Banana cream pie was so old, the bananas were shades of grey, crust was hard, and the cream was gummy and separating. Seating is uncomfortable and the restaurant felt cramped overall. Will not return, very disappointed.

My wife and I have been coming here for a few years. We try to come for breakfast once a month. We absolutely love it, the staff, the food it s all top not. We also get there Pup Cups for our dogs, all natural dog cupcakes. I cant say anything negative about this place. We have waited 45/60 min for a table on a Sunday morning. It s with the wait

First time at Hathaways this morning. 10 for service! The staff checked on us, without interrupting, so often. I was very impressed! I tried vegetarian eggs benny, only a half order...( perfect size) with extra home made hollandaise, 10/10! My son in law had turkey sausage eggs benny, he was stuffed 10/10. My daughter had pancakes and bacon, she was also stuffed 9/10. Upon leaving, they gave us a piece of homemade pie, to take home....wow! We all agreed, were going back to try lunch. Only issue was, that it was really loud. I couldnt hear my kids talking. But we also went, at the busiest time of day. 10 for us! Finally, a great brunch place in edmonton!

My son was sick and I can t cook that well so I asked if they could make something for him and they gave the best mushroom soup and mashed potatoes!! I appreciate them so much to the point of tears cause he ate it all with nothing left and fell asleep. I love hathaways for helping me! Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly no questions asked.

This diner is like a hidden gem. The food was very good and the server was very attentive. I suggest having a slice of pie. I had the banana cream pie and it was delicious. I also got a puppy pie,which I think is such a cute idea. My puppy loved it.

two eggs and cheese were very expensive, I paid $62 because the picture showed potatoes, poached eggs, fruit on the restaurant menu, when the order arrived it was cold and not tasty, they even forgot to add salt, not to mention the potatoes that I paid for The order was not made complete, they arrived with eggs and sauce, terrible service, I would like to return my money. Vegetarian options: Very bad food

I tried the Hathways Burger. It felt so real and nostalgic. 10/10. Please open up in Southside, Gas is expensive lol.

Hathaway diner is a decent brunch spot. The prices arent outrageous, and the service is amazing as well as the owner/manager was super kind and helpful with managing our table and for how busy it was. the food is alright to say the least I had the French toast and fruit there was only one black berry and 3 blueberries with minimal jam so it wasnt very good however when I go back Ill update my review depending on if everything meets my expectations maybe the chef was just busy since the restaurant was super busy lol

Had the pleasure of dining here,the food was delicious, Sydney and Serena welcomed me with open arms,kind, professional and made sure to check up on my needs.I most definitely recommend them as well as the entire staff.AWESOME

I wanted to love this place after reading the reviews. But there is just too many issues. As soon as we walked in I noticed how close the tables are. In order to get into the booth the ppl beside us had to move their table over. Being this close also made having Any sort on conversation a no go. We ordered breakfast. Eggs Benny was OK. But my meal was just all wrong. I ordered the steak and eggs. Med rare. Over med eggs. Well done hash browns. My steak was so well done there was no juice when I cut into it and had zero seasoning. Not even a little salt and pepper. Nothing. Eggs were over easy. Hashbrowns were half cooked. I will say they did remove the meal from my bill. That was the plus. However I declined the meal remake since I was asked after my meal companion was finished their meal. Not once did our waitress return and ask us if we needed our drinks refreshed or how the meal were until we were done and our napkins were on our plates. She didnt notice or come comment on the fact that I was not eating my steak. I did try a couple pieces at first but could not chew it. My companion tried also and had the same reaction as I did. Offering to remake a meal once the table is done isnt helpful or good customer service. We havent decided yet if we will visit again or just go back to our usually breakfast spot.

Weve lived in the area for a while and always heard great things about Hathaways so we decided to take our boys and check it out for brunch. Hannah greeted us and introduced herself to our kids. She was very warm and welcoming! The food was great, nice portion sizes and well priced. We really enjoyed both of the other ladies serving us and the charismatic gentleman checking on us, I just didnt catch their names. Family of 4 and we will definitely come back and try the pies next time! Very nice experience.

It can be surprisingly hard to find a really good diner, and I stopped looking when I went to Hathaways. Amazing vibe inside the restaurant: retro, bright, and comfortable. Folks make you feel like family, service is always fast and kind. Onto the food, I have been coming to Hathaways since 2019: burgers, clubhouses, pancakes, Koren-BBQ bennys, they just do it all and they do it perfectly. Never left without loving what I ate, and being excited to return! Finally, the pies are to die for, multiple slices are had on each visit. I love you, Hathaways, cant thank you enough for being my perfect diner!

The best french toast I have ever had!! And the coffee was delicious. To top it off the staff and owner gave better customer service then any most buisnesses I have been too. Our new favorite breakfast spot!!! Thank you! Kid-friendliness: With 5 kids we often dont get the best customer service or we feel like an inconvenience. Here they gave the kids gifts, let them ring the bell and were so fun and friendly that we all enjoyed being there from start to finish.

Went for breakfast this morning with a buddy of mine. The service was great and very quick, the restaurant was about half full but was still quick to get our drinks and our food. The food was perfect and delicious.

We went right at the brunch/lunch rush on a Sunday, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Food was fantastic, especially the pecan pie.

Mitch runs this place at a smooth and comfortable pace. Every customer is always respected and taken care of. Servers Hanna and Ally should be highly requested because of there incredible compassion and energy. The food is always cooked and prepared to the highest of expectations. And the pie .. mmmmmmm, best I have ever had. Original diner pie that smooth and creamy with new flavours every week. I can t say enough good about this little restaurant. Little neighborhood diner .The food was exceptionally delicious! The atmosphere was warm and homey . The servers were very friendly and attentive! It was our first time there and we got a free piece of pie (needless to say, we had to take some home for later).

I ordered the Corned beef hash skillet and side of sausages. All of it was bland. Home made hash browns were medium to large chunks of potatoes that tasted like boiled potato. Corn beef was deli meat chopped up. Cheese was stringy and annoying like eating plastic. Side of sausages tasted like biting into an unsalted butter stick. Best part was the buttered sourdough toast, that seemed normal. Id visit again to try something else.

Was welcomed in as soon as we arrived, complimented, and the food was excellent and FRESH. Was our first time and W ere offered some pie - would HIGHLY recommend.

What a hidden gem! We loved everything about Hathaways Diner. Its a great atmosphere, the staff is truly amazing! I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were so amazing to my daughter on her second birthday and went over and above when my pregnant wife forgot to ask what type of berries would be in the spread on her French toast and ended up being raspberries, which she couldnt eat. She explained to the staff that everything was fine but she made a mistake and couldnt have the spread because the raspberries will get her excruciating stomach pain. The staff insisted that they would make her new French toast and my wife did not want them to because it wasnt their mistake. It was truly amazing service! Thank you for a great experience, we will be back again. Kid-friendliness: Amazing with toddlers!

To start, the service here was amazing. The waiters/waitresses were all exceptional in making sure we were tended to. The food was great, the serving size was just right and left us feeling very full (my partner and I both got the sunrise skillet) and also had a slice of their chocolate cream pie (also delicious). I also loved that they had Coca Cola as a drink option. Cute diner with personality. We will definitely be stopping in again next time we are in the city!

Came here for the first time today with my partner, it was fantastic. This is a small diner, roughly 14 tables (so somedays you will be waiting for a table). We were greeted and got a table, we had multiple staff members take our order and check in with us throughout our meal. The food and portions are great. I absolutely recommend the pie! Side note: they also make puppy pies and have two tables outside. So if you have a dog/puppy you all can enjoy a bite to eat. Thanks for a great first experience Hathaways

Living near the area and disappointed that I ve never tried the food here. It s an awesome place to get breakfast. Was taken aback by how flavourful and fresh the Eggs Benny was. Weve been twice now. All the staff are excellent and pleasant. The food is just okay. Ive tried the lunch and breakfast menu and its under seasoned and underwhelming for the cost. The pie is amazing. Probably the best Ive had, both the chocolate cream and banana cream were delicious and not overly sweet. The atmosphere is seriously lacking. Its loud, cramped, and the seats are uncomfortable.

A bit greasy but what brunch diner isnt? Would recommend you try it if you are looking for a different brunch spot.

Amazing food, probably the best hollandaise on my eggs benedict Ive had in the entire city! The pistachio and pineapple pie was also great. If anything the only thing I could criticize is the fact that the tables are too low for the booth seating, and the chairs are too low for the tables, but that one can deal with.

The food was good I got the eggs Benedict and it was cooked right, the hollandaise was good and the hash browns were also okay although they were not crispy. The dunkaroo pie was really good, not overly sweet and was good with coffee. The service was good, friendly and I think the owner even stopped by and said to make yourself at home which was a nice touch. Glad to finally try this restaurant. It s pretty cool they have take our pie for your dog and we got those and my dogs loved it, thanks! Parking: There s a small lot and then some street parking.

Fantastic place, excellent service, and hospitality, the owner talks to the customers, making sure they are happy. The serving staff are very nice and attentive. Our food was great and the portions were very nice. I am full happy and off to the start of a great day. Try them out, and you wont be disappointed. We went 2 days in a row while we were in town for an event. Ill be back next time Im in town. Thanks guys

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Hathaway s. the food was amazing and the service was excellent. The ambiance was fantastic. The mains were great but the piece de resistance is the pistachio pineapple pie. Everything was delicious and we had a great time. There is limited parking but there is room on the street.

Always our go-to place for brunch, today they out did themselves! Their Valentines specials of Cupod French Toast and Valentine Benny were superb Served all week, dont miss!

Amazing food and AMAZING service. The place was packed, and we had to wait 15 minutes however this was our first time coming here. The gentlemen at the front were super friendly, he even came up to us during our meal just to check up. The place was small and not a lot of space however the food and service make it totallyyy worth it. Also, we got our two pups the little pup pies and omg they ate it in seconds!! We would come back for sureee!!

Ordered from here for delivery; we order two monte Cristo sandwiches and a side of sausage. Sandwiches were dry, potatoes/hashbrowns were bland and the sausage was dripping in grease. Definitely wont be trying again.

Made it here finally after wanting to go for a long time and it did not disappoint. There was a 5 minute wait at 10:30 AM on a Saturday, which was not bad at all. The space is quite small and cozy but the staff are efficient at getting people in and out. The food was delicious, especially the slices of pie that we ordered as appetizers . We liked the coconut cream so much that we bought an entire one to take home after! The food prices were fair as the portions were a good size, but they definitely were not the cheap diner prices that we were used to pre-2021, unfortunately. Parking: Parking in the strip mall lot can be difficult if the diner is busy - park on the street if that s the case.
