Update 2024 Nov 2, kick ass flavor, same great food. 2022, Ive been spoiled eating at some of the best Indian and Nepalese restaurants in Montreal and this place is right up there with the best of them; absolutely amazing! Staff and service are super. Spicing is all made in house by their chef. Honestly give them a try you wont be disappointed.

Worst serving Worst momos I asked them politely that the momos are too much spicy, and the staff girl started arguing with me that it is as it is. No politeness in the attitude and no proper serving even though the restaurant is empty. I am writing this sitting in the restaurant.

Our first time in an Indian restaurant. We LOVED it! Our food was amazing. Our server seemed young and inexperienced and could ve guided us on how to order but having said that recommended amazing appies. The restaurant was empty which was surprising. I hope more people discover this gem

Really quite superb cuisine, and a style of Indian flavors that are unique in my many years of Indian dining. I love this place.

Got samosas, butter chicken, momos, Chana masala, and naan. Unreal food. Highly recommend everything.

Mediocre food. Mediocre service. The chicken in the butter chicken was weird, spongy and cubed in a way that Ive never seen before, almost seemed like fake chicken? Tried this place once and thats enough for me.

Legit the best Indian food Ive had anywhere across the country. We ordered the chili paneer (semi gravy) and lamb Rogan josh. Heat level at 8 for both. Absolute perfect cook, heat, flvour, and balance on both dishes. The level of execution and flavour is on par with top places in Mumbai and Delhi. There ought to be a lineup out the door. Hope word gets around and this place gets the recognition it richey deserves.

I had a small event . Amazing Food, cheap price . Highly recommended ! They provided buffet style and service was amazing. They worked so hard to make every one happy and success my event. Thank you so much . Keep up your great work. I m glad we have this kind of restaurant in Edmonton.

Food was very good and tasty. It was a takeout. The reason I am writing the review here is the customer service, very positive and active vibe from the lady working on the counter. I forgot her name. She was a young Punjabi girl moved from Ontario. most of the Desi restaurants and their servers gives boring and zero work ethic vibe. But this girl impressed me.

Food, ambience, atmosphere is good. Must visit. I can compare it with khazana, and there s really good.

We used the restaurant for a large celebration of more than 35 people for my sons university graduation party. The restaurant was excellent, everyone had fun, and the prices were reasonable in a buffet style setup. We highly recommend them.

We had a birthday party for 40 people. Staff was very accommodating. The food and service was excellent . I highly recommend it. Food : 5/5

This new iteration of Spice Kitchen is awesome! The Biryani was to die for! Quiet and classy atmosphere, kind service attentive to details and fresh big portions dishes. The menu indicates clearly gluten free items and cashews. I love menus with pictures, so this was a nice bonus to make sure we ordered what we thought we were. We, for sure, will be coming back many times!

My boyfriend and I went to eat at this restaurant and it was exquisite, the atmosphere is very pleasant and it was a nice experience. We will definitely return. We enjoyed it very much

Sooo mango lassi was great, food was great, but spicy means spicy! Mouth was on fire but worth it! Food took a while despite not there being much people, staff didnt have much description on food, but still a great place. We had lunch combo and momo and it was wonderful

Came in from and Calgary and wanted to try some Nepalese food and I was not disappointed. This new restaurant has some great options and with some authentic Nepalese items. I Highly suggest any of the momo options or the lamb sekuwa. Great staff and very timely service!

The food at this restaurant is very good. It is located in the old Cibo space, so plenty of parking and central location. The Nepalese chicken mono dumplings were delicious as were the other dishes we ordered. All main dishes come with either rice or nan bread. Prices are more reasonable than comparable Indian restaurants.

Oh man, you gotta try this place out for Indian food! Tasty food, generous portions, and great service. Only thing to note: parking is a bit weird but thats nothing against the restaurant. Im going to recommend this place every chance I get from here on. Ate their Chicken Briyani, would recommend!

Dish presentation was excellent, mocktails were divine, and server was attentive. Its a miracle its not busier than it was. The food was amazing. Loved the chicken korma, and the naan was delicious.

I ordered food via skip the dishes and this restaurant changed the item which I ordered with a different item without even asking me. We were invited at Spice Kitchen and Grill from one of our friend to celebrate his son s birthday party. It was an excellent choice for any party celebration. The atmosphere was perfect for a festive occasion, and the staff was very accommodating in helping us. We just discovered spice kitchen tonight and were very impressed! The chicken momos and chicken biryani were both outstanding! As important as excellent food and service is the restaurant is a independantly Nepalese owned restaurant. It truly deserves a visit if you enjoy Nepalese and Indian food. We will certainly be back! I love their veg chilli fried momos. Must try, especially MacEwan University students. Just 2 min walk from University.

Simple vegetable steamed momos are really good! The outer layer at many places is really thick, especially at the corners but here it was very nicely pleated and was not thick at all ! Also, the chutney is mostly mixed with ready-made schezwan sauce but the taste here was like authentic momo chilli chutney, purely made of red chillis. I really liked the small details they take care of. Great experience!

Ordered chicken fried rice for take out it was very bland and taste less when asked for hot sauce the guys said it will be extra $$ because apparently fried rice doesn t come with hot sauce which is a first for me in Edmonton. Paid $17 for it wasted my money had to go home and modify the dish myself because it was so tasteless came here after reading the reviews but very disappointed. No other Nepali or Indian restaurant in Edmonton charges extra $$$ for hot sauce or soy sauce when you order Indo Chinese food the quantity and quality both very below average. Won t be going there ever again do yourself a favour go somewhere else unless you want to get disappointed.

Clean, tasty, delightful staff. Not a single thing I ve tried have I not enjoyed. Easily the best Indian I ve had. The coconut nann was so delicious Vegetarian options: So many and so yummy!!! Dietary restrictions: Had vegetarian , vegan, and gluten free options. I got a veg samosa and someone else at the table ordered a beef one and they very clearly marked the beef one to make sure they weren t switched by accident. Parking: Street parking

Best Momo in town. Remind me of my childhood from the taste of that juicy and flavourful of mixed spices. Definitely going back there again n again. Great management and friendly environment. Keep it up! I recommend everyone to go and try their authentic food . You won t be disappointed.

My first experience with this restaurant was a disaster. I ordered online for pickup 2 orders each of roti and paratha to accompany a home-cooked meal. When I arrived it hadn t even been started to be prepared. I waited patiently though. What I got for $17.83 was 2, roughly 6 inch diameter pieces of each. To add insult to injury the owner and cook insistently defended this. Needless to say, but I won t be back.

I came here for lunch after seeing a bi-fold stand promoting their daily specials. I very rarely take the time to write reviews. However, my experience at Spice was excellent through and through. Their employees are extremely kind and attentive. The food was some of the best I ve had in Edmonton. To top it off this place is extremely well kept. The bathrooms and dining room are both spotless and kept in an upscale manner. I will definitely be returning in the near future. This place is situated in such a nice spot, with a lovely walking path in front. We had the vindaloo for lunch, I think it was the best I ve ever had! I would love to keep this place all to myself but that wouldn t be right. You will definitely have a wonderful dining experience if you choose to eat here! We ll be coming back soon :-)

Yesterday I visited to this rasturant coz I was cravings for Mommos and its the best rasturant in town. Must visit this Nepali rasturant. Had the bestest customer service though we were but he said Thank you for coming. Never had this kind of experience.

I used to come here a good few months ago, and the service was glowing, and the food was worth waiting every minute in its sheer quality, But... This recent trip was a disaster in poor service with absolutely no customer service, sitting Down and placing an order for a single app to start, taking over 30 miniuted before the waitress comes out to say they are out of that, and to re order and wait another 30 miniutes for a two kebobs of chicken to come out, really made the experience a trainwreck and no desire to try again, their was one other customer present the entire time, so they cant blame being overwhelmed.

I ate here two times and the great food and friendly staff are why I keep coming back

Just got takeout from them. Ordered veg Biryani, chilli momos, veg chowmien, paneer tikka wrap. What a disappointment. Chowmien and biryani had no salt at all. They forgot to put salt! Only momos were half decent. Rest everything was a waste unfortunately. Had to wait 50 mins for such bad food.

Came here with some friends and everything we tried was delicious The customer service was excellent as well. 100% recommend if youre looking for a new Nepali/Indian restaurant to try.

We advise you to make an appointment two days in advance. Since I went to temporarily that day, I didnt make any appointment. Bit sad of me and my children... Their waiters excellent service attitude left a deep impression on me. It made me deeply realize that I had such a cordial experience. Since they are very busy. But I saw their waiters treat each guest as same they walked into a royal restaurant. Also really enjoyed the music in the restaurant. Allow me and my naughty kids to settle down and enjoy our meal time.

Nice little spot for a lunch date. They have a lot of variety and don t serve everything in the same tomato base curry like the other typical Indian restaurant. Definitely worth it to make the trip and enjoy a meal with the special someone.

First time order for us through skip. We had the butter chicken, chef s lamb, and mo mo dumplings. All the food was excellent. Not greasy at all. We ate it with naan. Very good. Superb service as well. We did not get the side sauce for the mo mo when delivered. The owner, Janga, took our call when we reached out. He asked for our address and brought us the side sauce for the dish himself! Amazing! We will definitely be ordering from Spice Kitchen again.

Ordered this a couple times and its been good every time. Got the butter chicken, aloo Gobi and dumplings and they were really good! They accommodated our dairy allergy and made them sans dairy, and it was good service. Local business and local family run so Ill be back!

Regularly get take out from here, the Vindaloo is incredible. Spicy yet still wonderfully flavourful, to be honest its a bit too spicy for me and has given me stomach aches but the taste is absolutely worth it. The butter chicken is complex, and has a mild sweet note to it which I believe is honey which is such a brilliant ingredient in butter chicken. Their dumplings are what got me sucked in to this place. They are easily the best dumplings I have ever eaten. Today I tried the Himali Lamb which had a great balance of flavours and the Lamb Jalfrezi is also something I will be sure to order again. Also, for the love of your own taste buds try their Samosa.

I am a big momos fan and so far out of all the restaurants, this one was beyond our expectations because their momos were juicy and they served authentic red chilli chutney (dipping sauce) along with the orange one. I hope they start serving veg tandoori momos too.

Last night my wife and I went out for dinner and decided to choose something we dont normally do and I have to say it now may be one of my favorite restaurants. Spice Kitchen & Bar Indian and Nepalese restaurant located at 11244 104 Ave, is a quiet little establishment which opened during the pandemic. The owner who we met is a soft spoken and kind hearted individual who made sure we taken care of in every aspect of great quality service and made us feel like we were in his own personal home. The food was absolutely amazing. Spiced just right and I couldnt help but think to myself that not only did my meal feel like a full on dinner, it also felt like I was eating my desert too. You could taste every ingredient on your plate and they fused together so perfectly. The little details also like shaving small amounts of coconut in the coconut rice showd they dont cut corners for a full customer experience. A full 10 out of 10. I dont normally promote places but my wife and I will be back many times. He could also use your support too as he opened up in probably one of the worst times when people are not going to resturants and not spending money. We should still try to support the good guys and so this is my ask to you to someday try this place out.

Honestly such a nice vibe to this place. The owner is really kind and chill! The food was great! When we asked for naan we assumed it would just be 1 or 2 naans cut into pieces but there was A LOT of naan. Porportions were good and my husband said this was the best lamb vindaloo hes had in Edmonton.

Originally ordered take out but there was an issue with the website ordering so decided to dine in. Would recommend calling in orders rather than using the website ordering system. That said both the food, service and staff were great. My personal favourites were the chicken mo mo s and the chicken sekuwa, while my friend loved the butter chicken and aloo gobi. Excited to try out some other dishes next time I order!

The food was amazing, very flavourful! I shared four dishes and the sweet naan with a friend... Its been a few weeks and I still think fondly about that naan. Not obsessing over it, but it was memorable enough that smelling coconut now reminds me of it.

Great food, I was very surprised as to the difference between Nepalese food and what I m used to. Spice kitchen was very rustic and it felt like it was a home-cooked meal. The naan was the best I ve ever had. Clean and priced well, we had requested vegan options and they were amazing.

Just arrived from Toronto and was looking for good takeout; I came across this restaurant which had opened last week. I ve had my fair share of Indian/Nepalese/Hakka in the past as have my parents (including my mother who was born in India), both of whom agreed the food here was top-notch. What stood out in particular was the fact that even the non-spicy dishes (e.g. veggie biryani) held up very well flavor-wise. Lamb curry was particularly good, as were all their naan (garlic, coconut, and aloo paratha). Will be returning for sure.

Had a take out order, food was really tasty. Taste of nepali food, great ambience and location. I would love to visit again with my family for dine in. I would strongly recommed this place if anybody looking to have a taste of nepal. Thumbs up!

Fantastic! I got food to go (written during lockdown) and not only was the food great, but the portions were massive! I got a meat dish, a veggie dish, and a rice thinking it would be two good meals... itll be closer to four meals by the time Im done! My favorite thing, as a spicy food lover, is the Chicken Vindaloo. Its listed on the menu as Very Hot and they dont disappoint. Dont worry, theyve got mild, medium, hot, and very hot dishes. But for those that like it legitimately hot and not watered down for the masses, this is the place to go! Oh, I also got a couple of veggie samosas - brilliant!

Very happy to have this new restaurant in the neighbourhood. I ordered the lamb noodle and vegetable samosa and both were *chefs kiss*. Service is great too, even with take out. Staff are very knowledgeable about the ingredients and can guide you if youve got dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. Looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu!

Have ordered food from Spice twice now and both times it was all excellent. Particularly enjoyed the Lamb Sekuwa and Himali Chicken.

Great place. Very good customer service. Very gentle and polite treatment. Quiet and lovely ambiance. Very neat and clean. Ideal for a family dine. Need more variety and Indian foods. Dosa, iddli, Chappathi, Vadai Very convenient and hospitality at the best!

Best momos in the town. Veg momos were outstanding. My kids enjoyed their Jhol momos. Portion of the paneer tikka was huge. Friendly staff.Highly recommended !!!
