Rigoletto's in Edmonton

Food is great. Not happy with the forced 20% gratuity. The waitress spilled a part of my mimosa on my fur coat and I not Only had to pay for the drink, get my coat dry cleaned but on top of it pay her 35$ in a tip. Sad but I wont Be coming back. Food

We were at Rigoletto s last night for a birthday, and all in attendance had not been there before. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and in particular the large wonderfully seasoned steaks! There are large portion sizes and you definitely get what you pay for. Staff were friendly and accommodating, especially because they put the Oilers game on for us to watch our team win the Western Conference Final! The decor is beautiful and historical as it used to be the lobby of the old Alberta hotel. Parking was easy to find even though there was a hockey game near by. We will be back here again in the near future! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta available.

My husband and I stumbled across this restaurant while driving around Jasper Ave. We knew it was a lovely Italian restaurant based off the name and curb appeal. Upon entering, you re greeted with an old school vibe. The decor is beautiful and the ceiling is embedded with stunning detailed crown moulding. This building must be historic because it had a classy traditional look to it. Our server, Alex, greeted us promptly and was a delightful person with his great sense of humour and kind persona. He was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu, providing suggestions on what pasta to choose from. The food came out in record time and everything tasted absolutely delicious. He recommended black pepper on the spaghetti carbonara, which elevated the meat in the dish. My husband and I agreed we d be coming back and telling all our friends and family members about this place. We love supporting awesome businesses like this, with high quality food and service. We re so glad we found this gem. I d strongly recommend the ceasar salad, best one I ve ever had hands down. I d also suggest if you go, ask for Alex. He makes the experience so fun and has a wonderful personality. Thank you for this hidden gem in Edmonton. And thank you for having awesome people like Alex as servers to elevate the experience even more. We re so looking forward to coming back soon and trying more delicious dishes.

This is my new favorite. Only my second visit and I can not say how much I and my wife enjoyed the meal, the ambiance, service, etc. Love this place, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Craziest Urinals ever!!!

Excellent restaurant, warm atmosphere. Food was delicious and yet prices were surprisingly low.

My friend and I arrived early in the 5 pm hour and had to wait in your foyer quite a while before anyone even acknowledge our presence. Once we were seated and menus given, I had asked for a negroni and was given the drink with a lemon wedge on the edge. Later I was asked how the drink was and I had requested an orange rind be prepared for the drink instead, I was told by the gentleman (bartender?) that he always makes that drink with a lemon. Then he walks away and goes to the bar and slices an orange and walks back to our table and leans over the pony wall and places it on my glass. That felt very awkward for a server/ bartender to approach the table and lean over instead of coming to the open side of the table. The ladies washroom ( which looks fantastic!) smelled like old mop water. The worst part of our evening was when my friend found a piece of metal in the crust of the cheesecake that she had ordered. It looked like it was from a metal scrubber that are used in kitchens. Yes the dessert was taken off of the bill but the whole of the experiences had tainted the evening.

Had dinner while staying in Edmonton. Awesome pasta dishes with huge portions. Service was excellent with a nice atmosphere. Will be eating here again next time we are in Edmonton.

I admit that I am a little biased about this place. It has been one of my very favourite restaurants for over 20 years. I love this place!

I love the new location. Its so beautiful and spacious. The food is amazing, the vibe is romantic including the music. The amaretto dessert was just delicious. Honestly better than Cafe Amore.

Having had good reviews I was looking forward to this meal. I couldnt find a menu though, their website sucks. They count on social media too much, of which I have none. The meal was bland and heavy. We went with a group and had what would normally be called a 7 course meal? We started with a ceasar salad The dressing was WAY too heavy, but it was favourable. 3/5 Then we went onto a spicy sausage with roasted red peppers. It was good, but would be better in a pasta. 3.5/5 After that we went kind of strange. We had a large plate of vegetables where half were over cooked and soft and the other half were undercooked and hard. One half had seasoning the other half tasted like I was eating at a seniors home - NO flavor. 1/5 With the veggies was pasta and sauce. Again, lacking flavour, which REALLY surprised me for an Italian restaurant. No oregano, no garlic, just very bland. 1/5 A strange combo too - veggies and pasta. Finally, to really make my stomach feel like throwing up was Chicken Parmesan. How do you make chicken parmesan lack flavour? I thought maybe my stomach was rejecting it so I had leftovers the next day to try it again and equally bland. 1/5 The atmosphere was nice but the bathroom was the coolest place in the restaurant. They have another large room inside that a party of our size could and should have been seated, but it was full of items that should be stored in a more appropriate place. All in all, I had my fill, it was too heavy and too bland to ever go back.

I always want to try something else on their menu but enjoy the rib eye steak with jalapeno sauce so much - just came from there and again went for my favorite steak! Others say their pasta is great, maybe one day Ill try something else. New location is perfect and of course food and staff are Grand.

Parking was bad. Service was very slow between courses. Wasnt asked for 2nd cup of coffee. Had to ask for parmasan cheese for pasta ( Italian restaurant) sausage had a mild and hot sausage wasnt told. Food was good but not a really good experience. Needs improvement. Chairs uncomfortable.

This was a great experience for me. Ran into an old acquaintance from many years ago, from my favorite restaurant ( which is now gone, sadly). All in all, a wonderful time. Looking forward to going again. Hopefully I will be seeing a wonderful artist,Lindsay Walker, this weekend. Vegetarian options: I saw that there were several options . Parking: Lots available, mostly street parking or underground, but being on jasper Ave by the government building....need i say more!

Booked our kids baptism dinner here, they were very accommodating not only did they go above and beyond for our family, the food was 10/10 service impeccable. When we walked in the private room was staged to what I would have wanted at a wedding classy, clean, and beautiful. Plate sizes more than generous couldn t finish all the food for the party of 26 had to take left overs home enough for the week. I definitely not only recommend this place but will be booking our family events and birthdays here going forward. Thank you Rigoletto s for making our special day perfect.

An old classic is reborn in an even better location. Same great Italian staple foods and likely the best baked rigatoni with spicy Italian sausages in town. Cajun chicken with angel hair pasta also awesome... but much more affordable than the new trendy and fickle places... but dont expect earls... way more real. Awesome patio right on Jasper Avenue too!

Came here during Animethon. Had the chicken tagliatelle special and it was delicious. One of the better pasta dishes Ive had in the city, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Service was prompt as well.

I can feel the worst service ever !!!

One of the worst experiences I had and super frustrating because we brought 2 friends with us. Took 10 minutes to even get drinks and then 45 minutes for pasta lmao. There was only 4 tables and then a 5th sat down and got their food first. The expo runner was so angry when he dropped off our food . The absolute cherry on top is our waitress took my friends plate while she was still eating?!? Not once, but twice as we had a piece of garlic bread left and she swiped that too. I was baffled. Literally ridiculous service who does that

Six of us had dinner last evening and it was a wonderful evening. First we found parking steps away on Jasper ave. Their new location looks gorgeous in what was the original Alberta Hotel building moved to this site years ago. The service and food were spot on. I highly recomemd trying them out if you havent been there before.

My husband recommended this place as he had been to other locations over the past 40 years. We called and made a reservation. We arrived early and were seated right away. It was very busy Saturday night around 730 pm After a bit the waiter came to take our order and did apologize for the wait. He took our order. We were pretty much ignored for the rest of the night Our appetizer was brought - steamed mussels- and kinda slapped onto the table. Another server cleared our table after a good ten mins of the plates sitting there Our entrees were brought out right away. Unfortunately mine had a hair in it. Another server took it away and another one brought me a new plate. Not our original server Again it took a bit for plates to be cleared. We wanted dessert and coffee but it was almost another 10-15 mins to get a menu And several more mins to be asked. At this point we were done. We paid our bill and left We were credited for my entree, we did not request that and it was a nice offering The food was amazing. Very delicious, fresh, and the wine pairing was a good choice. Prices were very reasonable The service was not great. It was busy but other tables around us had attention and did not wait for service. I recommend the restaurant for the food but for us, the service could use some re training

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The service from the start was awful. Our server looked annoyed we walked in.. (This was the point we should have turned back) drinks over priced for the quality.. food was terrible...a chilly sweet sauce on a $42 ribeye?? The description said jalapeño butter... well, this was way off.. and honestly who ever think is ok to put the sweet chilly sauce (same sauce you dip spring rolls from a take out Chinese restaurant) on any steak does not belong in a kitchen.. im sorry, but this is how i feel. To make the night worse, we had to to flag the server in order to get a drink, after our glases were empty for a good 8-10 min, everything was terrible and we felt extremely unwelcome here..

Very attractive restaurant in a convenient location downtown. I was there at 5:00 on a Saturday, with a group of four. Obviously not particularly busy at that time Even so, the service was not good. It took forever to get a drink order in. At one point we asked a passing server if we could order with him and were told: Youre not my job. We eventually got the drink order completed, but it was another long delay to get our food order sorted afterwards. Once ordered, the food came reasonably promptly. None of the staff were particularly friendly, we agreed. Our Caesar salad and pastas were solid, but not exceptional. Desserts were all disappointing. Mine was the Tiramisu, which was flavorless and had some weird textures which made me wonder if it had been sitting in a fridge for quite some time. This could be a really nice restaurant with a little effort. As-is, its disappointing, especially given the pricing.

Sadly, we were disappointed with our dinner when we attended this restaurant. Based on the ratings, we were expecting more. Both pasta dishes and the salad were way to saucy, to the point of swimming. The two pasta dishes ordered were drastically different dishes, but the sauce was identical in flavor. The salad and one of the pasta dishes were carried to the table together and I ended up with salad in my pasta dish when delivered. Overall, it was not a great experience for us attending this restaurant.

Edmonton classic - vintage or not - it is an Edmonton classic. Including the staff the owners the music. I have nostalgia for their original location but I honestly cannot give them less than 5 stars. :)

As I sit here engorged with the abundance of food I just ate too much of..... I think. Holy #$&@. This was amazing. Unreal. If you make it to Edmonton and want some really really good Italian food, come here. We will be back. Oh, also it was so good....I ordered another dish to take back with me. Excellent service on top of it! Thanks for the dinner!

Ive eaten at this restaurant with friends and coworkers a few times in the past. Good portions and prices. Very sassy waiter, but I didnt mind so much after a few visits. I dont think I will return anytime soon because there are so many restaurants to choose from in the area, but this is an OK work-lunch spot if you are looking for good bang for your buck in the downtown core.

I havent been to Rigolettos for at least a decade, maybe more. I really enjoy it then, and even more so, now. Food, atmosphere and, of course, Jack is lovely!!!

Im all about the Pasta, heard about Rigos through word of mouth, decided to check it out and was not disappointed. I love their pasta, ill get it everytime, refuse to try anything else.

Walking in we were immediately greeted by Jack The atmosphere is unassuming, makes you feel at home and you are in for a treat. The menu is not boastful and pulls it s weight in fabulous pastas. The Gnocchi with bacon, onions in a spicy tomato sauce is worth the trip alone. The rigatoni with Italian sausage and peppers will leave you ready for bed in the best way possible. This business deserves a visit or 10. Can t wait to return!

Stumbled across this place on a Saturday night, wasn t too busy. The owner and waitress were both very nice. Food came out fast, got the chicken and lobster penne and it was phenomenal. Will definitely be returning!

A lot of Soul here. Lifetime professionals work as servers here. Great pasta. Wednesday night is a special treat with PJ Perry playing with 4 other top artists in their field. Remarkable. Great acoustics in the room so only the piano and bass guitar were electric.

A bit of a hidden gem in downtown Edmonton. Hidden off the main roads on 100 Ave and 103 St, Rigolettos provides a great location for an upscale dinner for a special occasion, or just before a night in the town. Its relatively close to Rogers Place, the Art Gallery of Alberta, and the Citadel Theatre for those nights on the town. Food and service are consistently good - the honey jalapeno rib eye is worth the journey all on its own!

We had a business meeting/lunch here and it was great. Service was excellent and the pasta was fantastic. Hearty portions so bring your appetite.

Went with colleagues and no one was happy with the meals or the service. We pre-ordered the day before to have everything ready by noon and when we arrived at 11:50 they hadnt even started and the restraint was dead. The waiter was the rudest old man in the world, we barely tipped we were so unimpressed. Wont be back!
