An Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Edmonton, offering up local, organic Italian food and a wide range of Sparkling wines and Italian Amaris. Come join us for a casual spritz on our sunny patio or indulge in a bowl of our fresh house-made pasta or Woodfired Neopolitan Pizza.
One of the best Italian food places in Edmonton. Sophisticated, beautiful decor, perfect lighting. We celebrated my partner’s birthday and all went great Food was great. Handmade pasta and fire wood pizza oven. We ordered ragú and carbonara. Carbonara was fantastic. The ice cream gelato is worth trying.
Great food. One of my favourite places for pasta, their appetizers are so good aswell! My partner and I always share 2-3 appetizers and end up eating a main together, their food is very filling ! Their red wine selection is also one of my favourites in the city.
Bianco in Edmonton was quite a treat, With friendly service that can't be beat. The atmosphere’s lovely, cozy and bright, Perfect for a dinner, day or night. The prices were fair for upscale fare, Italian dishes made with care. I ordered a pizza, flavorful and bold, Each bite was a story perfectly told. For a delicious meal, with charm and grace, Bianco’s the spot, a must-visit place!
We had the bruschetta di pesto as an appetizer. It was decent. For the main we the the tortelloni which was AMAZING and the casarecce con pollo e funghi which was also great. Our host was Lexy, she gave us great ideas and split our dish’s so we both tried great experience
Amazing service! Service staff were extremely attentive, checking in throughout our dining. The drinks, appetizers, mains and dessert were excellent. Nothing was lacking at Bianco. It’s a beautiful restaurant. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very gracious and welcoming. Can’t wait to go again.
My absolute favourite restaurant in Edmonton!! We always go for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries! Our anniversary dinner last night was so perfect! The food was absolutely delicious and our server was fun and personable with great recommendations!! Love this place
Honestly one of the best italian restaurants in Edmonton. Everything tastes fresh every time I come and the atmosphere is great. I LOVE the uniqueness of their salads, pizza dough is thin and chewy and their tiramisu is super creamy. Its on the pricey side for $19-27 per dish but the quality is good! Service was okay but the food was amazing.
My absolute favourite spot to share memories and dreamy food with loved ones! The first time I came with friends, I was blown away by the artsy aesthetic, magical dishes and cosey location downtown. The waitresses were so kind and didnt charge me for my tiramisu because it was my birthday :) The second time, I HAD to introduce my family to Biancos and it was wonderful service again and so many varieties of breathtaking dishes to choose from! The third time I came back with friends, we always share the most joyful times and to our surprise, the owner paid our entire bill out of kindness and appreciation. Our servers were so sweet and helpful and treat us like royalty always. I love that they serve halal meat, I highly recommend the calamari, sweet potato gnocci, spicy lobster and seafood pasta, mushroom and chicken pasta, the creamy parmesan spagetti made with the wheel cheese, the appetizer thats a bunch of thinly sliced meat slivers, and the black squid ink pasta. Everything else I tried is amazing, I just cant remember all 😅. This is probably the only restaurant I ever always order every course, from a cold drink, to appetizers, Mains, dessert and hot beverage to end off, because the ambience and menu is too perfect. Im so happy we discovered this beautiful place to continuously create more meaningful memories at 💕 long live pasta pals at Bianco's!!
Every time that I come here I m more impressed. The staff, manager, atmosphere, and FOOD are all amazing. This is the best restaurant in Edmonton and one of the best restaurants I ve been to ever.
Excellent restaurant. Very good food value for the price. Was busy on a Friday evening but our server Ari did a great job attending our table even though there was only 3 of us. The Gnocchi was excellent. The menu is reasonably priced and the portion size is quite large. Im looking forward to going back.
I went with my friends for dinner. It was very good, I liked it a lot, I recommend the pizza and its very good, the waitress is called Bohban, I was very kind, well be back soon
I had a delightful experience at this restaurant! For smaller groups, I highly recommend it. However, with more than six people, the limited space and noise can become cumbersome. The food was exceptional - the calamari was great, and the Manzo (grilled tenderloin) entree was incredible. A standout for me was the Howard Smoked Show drink; its unique flavor had me hooked, and I ended up trying a few more
We had our Christmas party at Bianco. We had amazing appetizers and top quality dinner. The staff and service were second to none. We were also greeted by the owner. The cappuccino with the tiramisu is a must have !!!!
My favorite place downtown for a lunch. Everything is very high quality.
Unfortunately, some of the food wasnt as good as expected, but other menu items were great, but this could have been a one-off. The service was amazing. It really made the night with such an amazing and friendly waitress. We will be visiting again to try for comparison, but the atmosphere and service are what makes the night. Will have to try other menu items to find a favorite.
Delicious food, awesome drinks and great service.
Terrible service! The staff were inattentive and barely checked on us during our meal. The drinks, appetizers, mains, and dessert were all extremely underwhelming.
An Italian gem in downtown Edmonton.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff too. Certainly a great place for a date
1. Service: I cannot say enough great things about our server tonight, Dustin! From the moment we sat down, his exceptional service made our experience unforgettable. His attention to detail was impeccable he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Even during a busy service, he remained attentive, friendly, and composed. Thank you for a wonderful evening Dustin! 2. Dish Recommendations: Casarecce Con Pollo E Funghi, Aranchini Funghi, Bruschetta, Burrata Pizza, Tortellini, Calamari 3. Atmosphere and Vibe: The vibe of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a lively yet relaxed atmosphere.
Amazing as always.
I had my birthday dinner here. Service and food was amazing.
Great place friendly staff great food
Always great service and amazing food
Ate here last night with my wife. We just randomly picked it while out walking. What a great choice. The food was amazing with homemade noodles. The staff and service was top notch and attentive but not overbearing and annoying. We had a wonderful dinner. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. 5 stars
Really nice fresh pasta dishes. Awesome happy hour specials. Well be back for the cheese wheel pasta
Had a dine in experience for a couple of times and overall the food was good and the ambiance. However the reason im giving 1 star is because of the poor customer service especially the one who answered the phone around this afternoon. As I speak regarding a reservation she just hung up on me which is very rude. And as I read some reviews here I have the same issues regarding the phone calls. I hope this issue will be fixed as the restaurant is a good one however the customer service must be a priority too.
Nice spot to go before the hockey game to get some food. The waitress was really nice always made sure we had glass bottles of water at the table and checked in on us in a timely manner They have pretty big portions and a lot of options for pasta, pizza, and salads. Their pizzas are oven baked which is always nice and they have plenty of Vegetarian and gluten free options Would recommend this place if you want to get a solid meal in before the hockey game to avoid being hungry at the arena and having to buy arena food. Vegetarian options: Lots of options if you are vegetarian or want gluten free Parking: They have a Valet service Wheelchair accessibility: Should have no real problems getting in
Amazing food! Our server, Teagan, was very helpful and friendly! Definitely recommend Bianco.
An amazing option in Downtown Edmonton. The food comes quick, warm and fresh. Subtle flavors, delicate mixtures, nothing crazy. No need to reinvent the wheel. Locals will pack it on weekdays for lunch, which makes great atmosphere but can make you wait a little bit.
We came in for a birthday celebration and had a most spectacular time. The mood was stylish, contemporary and creative. The food was tasty, and the service was excellent! Jon took care of us and his attention was unwavering. He was confident with his recommendations, and we were thoroughly pleased with his suggestions. From the carbonara to the lamb to the wedge ceasar salad, every dish was impeccable. The cocktails were unique and refreshing, and the ricotta cheesecake was to die for. We will certainly be back. Dine with confidence, you wont be disappointed.
Great service and vibe. Pasta was delicious
We had a great evening at Bianco for a birthday dinner! We had a big reservation of 15 people. The service was top notch. The food was amazing. We were very well taken care of and the restaurant was clean and beautiful. They also put a candle in the ice cream which was a super nice little touch! 10/10 would recommend and will be back!
Awesome restaurant and they have halal options as well!
I might be biased as i might compare this to a TORONTO Italian SCENE as prices were similar to Toronto... Good place in Edmonton but not worth the hipe.. Drinks were balanced and food was ok.. Hospitality was ok as well.. BUT BUT BUT... FLAVORS WERE NOT COMING THROUGH IN THE FOOD.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... REVIEW YOUR MENU AS EDMONTON POPULATION IS CHANGING... TASTE IS KING...ALL THE BEST FORM MY SIDE.. Will definitely return to try more from the menu..
Great food, service design and vibe. My server Mia was exceptional. Made me feel very welcome. She made great menu suggestions and they were delicious. Everything was perfect. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
Food and service was great. Candace was amazing! She made the experience so awesome!
I recieved exceptional service from Hannah at the bar, truly top notch. Please give Hannah a raise.
These 2 items were spectacular! Great service and great people! Always a great homemade pastas pizza they have it all. Thank you Dave & Joe!
Best food, wine and atmosphere I have had for a meal in a very long time!
Came here with my sister for lunch for the first time and had the most wonderful experience. Natalya servers us and she was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Our wine served in a chalice from entrees, drinks, dessert, it was delicious. Atmosphere was lovely. Perfect music. Would definitely recommend for any business lunch or casual dinner
Been twice and I just feel like this place is too overrated. First time I came I got the spaghetti pomodoro and the noodles tasted extremely doughy and stringy. Second time I came I decided to order pizza and it was ice cold and extremely bland. I ve had better pizza at Pizza 73. Their rigatoni was delicious however my friend did complain to the waiter that there was barely any chicken added. Calamari was ok and their bruschetta is delicious. Gelato was really good. Service is great and the atmosphere is lovely. It s a beautiful restaurant inside and you will need a reservation, even for a random Wednesday night- book a reservation. Good luck finding parking though. The restaurant is located downtown with extremely minimal parking.
Great coffee and breakfast
This place is super cozy and cute. Came with my boyfriend for date night. We sat on the heated patio, the food came fast and hot. Both the spaghetti carbonara and campanelle Aragosta E Scampi were delicious!
A classic Italian spot in Edmonton! You can never go wrong with Bianco! My favourite dishes are the spicy rigatoni, creamy mushroom and chicken pasta, and the tortellini! The espresso martinis are easily the best in the city. Everything on the menu is delicious. Get the gelato for dessert! Wheelchair accessibility: No
The chef on duty this afternoon (5 Oct 24) is belligerent and sent out food poisoned mussels. Everyone and everything else was top notch. Just get rid of the rotten apple.
Tried the parm wheel. Don t get it. Get something else. They have a good menu. That s just novelty.
Max at Bianco was awesome. He made us the best espresso martinis Ive ever had! Everything from the drinks, food, service, and atmosphere at Bianco was amazing. Cant recommend this place enough. Loved it.
We had fine meal , when came time for the bill our server was gone or on a break another server helped . I questioned the charge for the Bella spritz as it was not as per Aperitivo Afternoon pricing. Was told it was not part of the afternoon special, however as per the menu it should be see photos . A minor item that throws off the experience. Ahmed, I already provided the details in my review. I noticed that you often respond to low reviews with generic, copy-paste comments. Why don t you address the specific issues mentioned?
My dad called to make a reservation for my birthday, he spoke with a woman and then the reservation was confirmed by a man. He ensured the date and time was right as online it says to call in for a reservation of 5 people and the person who he was speaking to read back the reservation and confirmed it was in place. When we arrived on my birthday they told us that they had no reservation for us. My dad confirmed on his phone records he had called the right place. They offered to seat us outside anyways however it is fall and no one in my family had brought jackets as we were not prepared to sit outside. The staff was not apologetic at all and essentially blamed us for the mistake. The kicker is a group of 5 came in after us and said that they had just made a reservation on the phone that night and they were seated immediately. Bad management for reservations and bad service when it was them who had made the mistake. The food does look great but we will not be back because of this.
Amazing food vibes are on point
Great Italian restaurant in downtown Edmonton. Nice atmosphere, tasty food at a good price point, and good service. It looks like it has a lovely patio for the summer months. I ordered the burrata appetizer and the spaghetti carbonara. Both were very well done, and used authentic ingredients.
Rostik is the best barmen in the whole city. By the way the bar is also very nice. Not so many places like that in Edmonton.
As usual the best Italian food , atmosphere and service, thank you Veronica for the excellent service This beautiful restaurant is consistent in quality and their service , thank you again Veronica and every staff, had a wonderful birthday lunch Vegetarian options: A lot of them, am vegetarian and found lots of choices Kid-friendliness: Perfect place for families especially for lunch
Felt like crowded and louder than before.
Amazing atmosphere, and the food was awesome. Huge portions friendly staff and a wine list that may even be too much choice highly recommend
I can honestly say that Bianco hits the mark for authentic Italian cuisine. As a proud Italian myself, I am very picky. But this hit the mark! I had the classic spaghetti con pomodoro e ricotta- it was FABULOUS! So rich, so tasty. Noodles were made fresh. A large portion, for a fair price. I will be coming back! Thanks Bianco!
Friendly and attentive service from Giacomo at the bar! All of the staff are so sweet and the food is the 10/10!!! My favourite restaurant in Edmonton :)
Always great! 1st class. Try it!
Always have great experience! Best Italian food in town and tiramisu is just amazing
Delicious calamari. The best Ive ever had. Super light and flavourful with a fantastic crisp.
We just enjoyed a late lunch and it was wonderful. All the staff were genuine, helpful and happy to be there. The food was delicious and true to Italian flavors! The patio atmosphere was perfect.
We had Candace as our server! She went above and beyond! She made our experience amazing.
Food was decent. The real reason why I am not leaving a good review is because our server checked on us at most 2 times. We were left waiting multiples times and for long periods that night.
Came in with a party of 10, very unaccomadating for large groups. Took the server more than 15 minutes to bring us our bill and when she brought the bill took another 10 minutes to get the debit machine.
Huuuuge portions, but slightly underwhelming flavours for the price.
It says on the website to reserve by phone for a party of 5 and up i called and was put on hold for 30min then the hostess said to call back in 30 min i did! She said she has no room at the time i asked for i understand totally however i asked for another availability and she hung up the phone i called again immediately hung up the phone again! Wonderful way to represent the place and to chase away customers.
Perfect for lunch. You can arrive without a reservation although it is preferable to reserve a table as it fills up. Wide variety of foods and drinks.
Had a excellent lunch here in August. The pasta was delicious and the service was friendly.
The service and food was very despite it being full and crowded with reservations it s easy peasy . The serval pizzas that was ordered was great and the drinks were quickly served.
Always great food, great service and an amazing atmosphere!
This was my first time visiting and it was for a work lunch so I didnt take any pics of my food! I was thoroughly impressed and loved my Casarecce con Pollo e Funghi. Im excited to introduce my family to this place!
That is a must to visit if you re in the area, service was great, food was excellent and the price is reasonable, will visit again for sure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Food
Came here for the 10th time and once again it was amazing!
Service and food was amazing. Gave them double what I normally tip
Pasta cheese wheel on Wednesday nights this summer... it was so delicious. Definitely recommend a reso. We got in without(8pm), but it was busy.
Very hip place with eclectic patrons. Excellent food and hospitable staff
Visited Edmonton from Calgary, this place had good reviews which is justified. The steak was really soft and the seafood linguini was flavorful. The portion of pasta was big with generous portion of seafood. Atmosphere was pleasant as well, not really busy on a Saturday night though.
super good dinner experience for a family
Beautiful space and incredible food
Amaazing food!! Pasta is made in house, unbleached, organic and GMO free. Nice portions, with delicious flavors and homemade sauces. Cozy atmosphere with an outdoor option. The only downside is our food took a while, but it was busy as it was on a Friday evening.
My husband and I went out for our anniversary to night. I had the gnocchi and my husband had the pizza. I get that its a Italian restaurant but its in Canada the menu should really have the English translations. The pizza couldve been a little thicker. It was hard to hold it was so thin but the flavor was spot on. The gnocchi wes AMAZING The tiramisu was really flavorful but the lady finger where like wet crumbs. What I really couldnt understand is why they brought us warm water to drink, especially on a hot summers day. It was tap water why they didnt use the cold or add ice is byond me. We found out after we ordered they didnt have the chocolate gelato so my husband ordered the vanilla. The poor server had to come back a second time to inform us she could barely get half a scoop of what was left of the vanilla. I feel bad for the front of house staff having to take the heat for the lack of communication from the back of the house staff. Overall fair price for the quality and well definately be back.
Delicious. When I was young I had many Italian friends and I was fortunate to be invited for dinner at there homes. How lucky I was. I went to Bianco with my adult son on his recommendation and had the Cassarecce Con Pollo e Funghi. Delicio! Generous serving and perfect execution. The quality of ingredients was at an excellent standard. I enjoy a good Caesar cocktail and they did not disappoint. Cocktails were a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and the food was five star at a four star pricing. Im good with that. Service was great and the place was very busy. Our server had a very large group as well and when she realized it was going to effect her other tables another server jumped in . Very professional and organized. I will definitely go back as I saw so many beautiful dishes going to other tables that I want to try. Good job, keep it up. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant.
Great Italian restaurant in the heart of Edmonton. Food was great and came in good portions. The atmosphere was great for a Sunday night, and the restaurant was very busy. As a result, service took quite a while, however our server was very friendly. Would come back.
Love this place! The whipped ricotta dip is my favorite!
Food was amazing
Best pasta in Edmonton. Very authentic, every dish is amazing you cant choose wrong.
Wonderful ambiance and outstanding staff! The authentic Italian food is delicious, and the cocktails are top-notch. Everything we ordered was a hit! For the quality and price, Bianco is definitely worth checking out perfect for a business lunch or a nice evening out!
I love eating here. Ive had their pizza, pasta, starters, and aperitifs, all are well worth the prices, really exceptional in quality and taste. They have good beer too, very tastefully selected to compliment the food. The staff are very easygoing and customer service oriented, which is refreshing for a higher-end restaurant. Over multiple visits, they have really earned my loyalty.
I had the pleasure of dining at Bianco this evening after discovering it on social media. We opted for the cacio e pepe pasta, which is prepared tableside by tossing the pasta in a large wheel of parmesan cheese. The dish was exquisite and the presentation was quite entertaining. While I was unable to sample the entire menu, the other dishes looked equally enticing. I highly recommend Bianco and look forward to returning in the future.
Food is okay, we had a pizza each and shared appetizers. But honestly this is the third time we ve went and received absolute garbage service. Snippy and rude servers.. like you certainly won t be getting a tip with that attitude. Go to Dalla Tavola down the street, way better service and food.
Very good food and service
Awesome experience. Was here for the week and went three times. Definitely recommend
The mood and atmosphere are alive, and the space is well decorated. The server was fabulous! I loved her friendly demeanor and creative ideas for drinks. Sadly, the 3 of us all had pasta dishes we thought were just meh, and each of us ended up not really eating much and taking it home to our husbands. Id come back only for a cocktail and the downtown vibe but wouldnt eat here again.
excellent service and food quality! nice atmosphere
wonderful experience, food and service, will be back again. Thank you
Food was good. Carpaccio was great, octopus was nicely cooked but didn t really go with the red sauce. Pizzas are good. Caprese salads were ok, but very inconsistent on the amount of cheese from one person to the next. Service was friendly but quite slow. 18% automatically added to groups.
Came in for a date night dinner to try the Parmesan cheese wheel pasta. We did initially see it on social media and it looked like something we had in Europe so we were hooked. We have been here before but felt like the experience had changed. The starter (involtini) was amazing; dessert was fantastic as well. However, the pasta was underwhelming; The noodles themselves were great but there was barely any cheese and hardly any seasoning. Watching the noodles get prepped table-side there wasn t a lot of time for cheese to pasta contact. I had to ask for salt and some chilli flakes. Granted, this is a very traditional dish and maybe the complexities are lost on me but the dish could have done with a bit more cheese. The quantity is huge, which is great value because the noodles themselves have a fantastic texture and chew. I did go with the servers suggestion for wine but it wasn t to my taste. I did tell my server as soon as possible and got a different wine, but I was charged for both glasses. Not a huge deal, but I wish there was a tasting option before being served a glass Vegetarian options: Great options!
What a great dining experience. Pistachio gelata was my favorite. I also enjoy the sister restaurant Rossos Pizza Ria.
The music was good, beautifully lit and it was such a great level of sound where you could hear everyone at the table. Great energy and ambiance. Making my dish next to my table twisting up my pasta in a cheese wheel. It s a vibe!
Came here for date night and the food was as reviewed. We got the: Gnocchi Di Patate Dolci - 7/10 - it wasn t as flavourful, tasted very plain. -Handmade sweet potato and Grano Padano parmigiano gnocchi, sautéed with sundried tomatoes, spinach and leek on top of a butternut squash purée. Topped with parmigiano Antipasto 10/10 - was filling and the spread was all quality ingredients and fresh. -Cured meats, assorted cheeses, warmed olives, and house-pickled veggies. Served with house-made roasted red pepper jam, house-made fig jam, fresh fruit and crostini. Forgot which pizza we had but it was a 10/10. Crust. Topping. Every bite Minus 1 star because the service was a bit slow.
We went there in evening at 6pm on a weekend which made it hard to look for parking. I had prior reservation for two. The ambiance was decent and the service was also good. About the food overall for an Italian restaurant it was mediocre maybe just average and too bland. There are many other option for pasta even east side marios pastas are better than this, and def Panini is something you should be considering if looking for a good Italian restaurant. However we ordered- 1. Spaghetti alla Carbonara (too bland) 2. Casarecce con Pollo e Funghi (its supposed to be creamy, you can see in the picture how creamy it was again mediocre) 3. Florence sunset(cocktail) again too average for the price Not good enough to try again for sure.
I love this place. The atmosphere is Food is excellent Highly recommended Food : 5/5 |
Great food and atmosphere.
Decent place, Decent service, Pricey food Food : 4/5
Amazing Italian food, probably some of the best in the city right now. The burrata is amazing.
Tasty, good portions, selection of wines by the glass could be better but other than that no complaints
Fantastic pizza with great atmosphere.
Loved it!
Pizzas and Pastas are to die for!!! Amazing service
Great selection of wines and food was delicious
Went there a few days ago. Started with Giostra Dalcol, and Americano Aperitivi they were both nice and rich as I expected. The next drink was Cocomera so flavourful and so good for the warm season. For food, we ordered Pollo e Avocado pizza which I expected to be way better. It was too much garlic on it, the raw diced tomato tasted like fridge and not fresh, chunks of avocado too big, but still better than average of pizza in the city. And the best pasta I had in Edmonton linguini alla nera!!! The pasta was perfectly cooked and tasted the way it should. Prawns, mussels, clams, scallops and squid slices were all fresh didnt smell fishy. Nice creamy texture with fresh cheese and fresh black pepper served by our waiter the gentleman who was super nice and I wish had asked their name. Vegetarian options: Wide choice of vegetarian food. Dietary restrictions: They ask you when taking your order about any allergy you might have.
Amazing drinks, fantastic meats and cheeses, wonderful pizza Love this spot and the carpaccio is a must try. Our server went the extra mile to make my brothers birthday as special as possible!
AMAZING find in Edmonton at the heart of the city! My dad is visiting from the Caribbean and he wanted to try something unique - this restaurant did not disappoint. When you walk in you are greeted by a warm welcome followed up with impressive service for a delicious meal. Overall highly recommended!
The GF pasta was very good, the sauce was not very good though.
Food is nice, service is great and the ownerships passion is even better.
Tasty apps and attentive service.
Wonderful food wonderful staff!
Awesome place and amazing fresh food
The food is delicious, and the service was great.
Incredible food, sat on the patio. The place was busy, service a bit slow but nothing to really complain about. I knocked one star only for the fact there are 2 stalls in the bathroom.
Food, portions were ok - but overpriced. The bolognese sauce - or so they think , did not taste anything like bolognese sauce. They added no cheese to my pasta nor garlice bread when I asked if it could be done. However the service was great, the girl was such a doll. Water topped and gave us free garlic bread on the house until we were finished. Ate like 6 garlic breads. So thank you! Atmosphere, it feels like a speed dating arena. Literally dainty tables, chairs were rocky. I felt as if it was just quickly thrown together. Wood piled in a space to add .. flare?
Teresa was great!!
Great Place To take clients or for a date night!
I had the pleasure of being served by a Ukrainian-speaking server. She effortlessly guided me through the menu, recommending delicious dishes. I truly appreciated her hospitality and would highly recommend this restaurant to others.
Nice place for dinner with friends. Kinda loud but still good. Stuff was nice as well. Tasty black pasta with seafood Cocktails yummy too!
Horrible pizza, the worst pizza Ive ever eaten. The pizza dough was unsalted and poorly rolled out and leavened badly , the toppings above were of poor quality. We ordered the calamari and they were full of oil. Im writing this review at 2am with atrocious stomach pains.
Unfortunately, I didnt take food pictures, but everything was ummy.
I m just going to be honest, this place HEAVILY disappointed, as I went in after hearing good things about this restaurant. It s been on my list a while, but boy did it fall short. To be fair, we ordered the calamari and it was quite tasty. Nicely fried with choice of two sauces. However our other dish, the table-side cheese wheel pasta was horrendous. The pasta itself tasted like they forgot to salt the water. No seasoning at all. After asking us how much pepper and cheese we wanted in the pasta (which we responded lots) they proceeded to produce the most dry, oiliest, flavourless pasta I ve had this first quarter of the year. What was meant to be a creamy cheesy pasta was a water flavoured oil fest. What little cheese was added was incorporated in unappetizing grainy chunks. And the noodles were dry, like sucking on shoelaces drenched in cornstarch and separated cheese oil. We also ordered a tiramisu that was sickeningly sweet, and lacked coffee flavour. The presentation was okay but in terms of quality, the ladyfingers were mangled and cakelike. This is a restaurant with a supposedly good reputation serving cheese wheel pasta worse than your closest chinese restaurant s mac and cheese. It was also hard to find our server. Overall everything was somewhat passable until the cheese pasta. Honestly unacceptable for a restaurant to serve something that unappetizing.
We had a wonderful dinner. The service was nice, attentive and quick. Absolutely recommended.
One of the best dining experiences Ive had in a while. Ive been a few times, and the service and food are exceptional. It may be my new favorite restaurant in the city. 5*
Great pizza
LOVED this restaurant! The food was spectacular! The Carpaccio definitely was the hit at the table. We will definitely be coming back to try out more of the menu. 5 stars all around!
Great service, fantastic food. Staff is friendly and attentive to detail, which helps make for a positive experience. Highly recommend.
Honestly, my wife and I had a great lunch date downtown at this place. The servers were right on top of everything, and they are very friendly. I got a chance to talk to the manager and he was also really friendly. The food here was absolutely amazing, as well, so I think we will come her more often. I loved their risotto and high class pizza they had - just amazing. In terms of atmosphere, it was very classy.
Went in with my friend because thought this place looked cute and heard good things about it. DEAD WRONG! The waitress was alright but honestly didn t know anything about the food. She was raving about the Tortteloni saying it was the most flavourful item on the menu. Ordered it. Hated it. It was SO BLAND and GRITTY! Didn t taste like ANYTHING! When I went to send it back politely. She told me right off the bat that the kitchen wants to go home so they can t make me anything else. The cheesecake she was also RAVING about, fell apart cause it sand in the middle. It s giving kinetic sand. Most gritty food I ve ever tasted.
What a great place for a casual elegant dinner. Perfect romantic date night spot. Loved the beef carpaccio, mussels, pastas. Great wine list as well! Will be back 10/10
We had a very nice night here. The staff were very kind and the food was good. The portions were very big so heads up youre leaving with leftovers. Recommended trying this place!
Beautiful restaurant, kind of an odd entrance but it s like a nice little quirk to it! The food here is fantastic, I feel like I can order anything here and I will enjoy it. Especially the pastas! I really recommend the funghi one, it was absolutely delicious and just the perfect amount of creaminess! The service here is abit slow, but still great overall. Our server Lexy (Lexi?) was very kind and attentive. If you have her just know you re in good hands! I suggest coming here if you enjoy Italian food, maybe even if you want some fancy and delicious in-house pasta or even pizza. Be ready for the bill though! The food I feel like are abit expensive for me but worth it in the end.
Excellent food with impeccable service, the owner even greeted us and chatted with us for a while. Definitely recommend.
The gnocchi! Do not leave this restaurant without trying them. Im not even a gnocchi lover, and I am already thinking about the next time I can come back and have it again.
Authentic Italian food. The excellent carpaccio. Highly recommended this place
5 star Italian restaurant BBBBBBianco !!!! You need to eat the mussels omg and calamari best in edmonton FACTS dont go without the iceberg Caesar salad and the lobster & prawn pasta so good omg eat here twice in the last 2 weeks and hit it up again next week Food
My colleagues and I had wonderful lunch today. Our server was friendly and right away he took our order on time and our food came on time with 15mins to spare. This was my second time here and I love it!. I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend.
We were seated right away and enjoyed prompt and attentive service. Food came quickly but we didnt feel rushed. Ive walked past many times but never popped inside before. Ill definitely return, so many items looked great. Food
Pasta is always a safe bet. The carpaccio was outstanding and the eggplant was phenomenal.
Ordered take-out here and the food was cold when I picked it up, there were no utensils and they forgot to put vinaigrette in my salad. Called back to tell them and no f@#$ were given. DO BETTER!
The stools were difficult to get closer to the table. I ordered smoked bourbon and meatballs which was a delicious meal. Wheelchair accessibility: I didn t find any accessible way
Very good food and service
A group of 8 of us came for a post graduation dinner and the service was amazing. The dishes were very flexible for subsitutions. I forget our servers name, but he was very attentive and he even gave us a sweet treat after the meal. Reccomend the pesto pasta!
Update: Changed rating from 2* to 4* (not 5* due to first experience). Revisited and had a completely different experience than last time. Had the Spaghetti Pomodoro e Ricotta with 2 meatballs. It was excellent. Meatballs were moist and flavourful, pasta was perfect and well sauced with extra sauce in the bottom of the dish, there was a generous dollop of beautiful fluffy ricotta mousse on top and it was garnished with fresh basil. My friend had the Funghi Misti pizza which was served piping hot and was very tasty. Our server, Arianna, was pleasant, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu items and ingredients and took excellent care of us. Before you read this you should know that, in spite of what I ve written below, I will definitely go back. Everyone around us seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their experience so I think we just had an unlucky experience. Appies: Bruschetta topping had no seasoning and we couldn t taste or see any garlic, bread had only splotches of their balsamic reduction which had an overpowering flavour of cinnamon, no olive oil. Calamari was I think one of the very best I ve ever had, beautiful light crispy batter, the squid was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth tender. The garlic aioli was also excellent but, the arrabbiatta ( translates to the the angry sauce) had absolutely no spiciness, no kick, though it was an excellent tomato sauce. The portions were very generous. Entrees: Linguine al Nere was a generous portion but the parmesan only seemed to be on the clams, the Butter Lemon Sauce was good but light on the lemon and there was no extra sauce at all in the bowl. The Carbonara was also a generous portion but it was a miss. Pasta was over cooked and stodgy, very little pancetta. In fairness, we did take longer than usual over the appetizers and perhaps my entree sat somewhere. Pasta is not a dish that can wait! A word from our waitress to say they were ready, along with a quick tidy up/reorg of the table, would probably have had me with a wonderful plate of pasta. Dessert: Caffe Affogato with the cinnamon house gelato. Excellent! Service: Pleasant but lacking. It wasn t busy when we were there. Dishes weren t removed, we had to stack them to make room and request they be removed. We weren t offered wine with our meal. I declined the offer to have my pasta boxed up to take home and the waitress could see that very little had been eaten and removed it from the bill without any further discussion - I really appreciated that as this was a birthday celebration and I didn t want to focus on a poor dish of pasta. Prices: Very reasonable.
Second time here. Love the food. Love the service!
What an amazing meal kali, Ahmed were such wonderful people it made us all feel special and the hand made Italian food is something everyone must enjoy. This is a hidden jem
Talon is an amazing server / bartender. the vibe here is imaculate . I ve worked in the industry for 20 years and he knows how to take care of his guests . I would give him a 10/10 if I could . It was my first time here and this place is my new favourite spot . Thanks talon for an amazing experience. I ll be back soon .
Great stuff and the food was delicious
This place is hopping! Great vibe, fantastic food, and wonderful service! This place will not disappoint and will go that extra mile to try to help. Im not sure what the evening is like, but if you are going for lunch, you better make a reservation!
5/5 We ordered meatballs , Carbonara and Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Our server Anastasia was well-organized and helpful. We will be back ! Food
Awesome food, awesome service however, there were a multitude of menu items that the server was unfamiliar with and didn t know what the ingredients were, up to and including some of the coffees.
One of the best restaurants
Great ambient atmosphere and music. Outstanding suace and pasta. I had the casarecce con pollo e funghi as I was in the mood for a creme sauce. Savoury, creamy, sticky, and hearty. Im not a huge fan of mushrooms, but I still thoroughly enjoyed them and the meaty truffles in this dish. Highly recommend.
I hate to leave a review for Bianco because its so good. It has character, its clean, it has fantastic service and mouth-watering dishes. There are many great restaurants in Edmonton, but Bianco is at the very top of my list.
Love this restaurant. food was amazing, and have always tasted the same. I wish the staff have been more lively and checked up on us, but it was a busy night.
Had a young server named Talon, good service, good recommendations, and was attentive. Vibe of this place was great, rigatoni, cappuccino, wine, were all delicious. Will be back.
Best carbonara Ive had in Canada so far. Their ragu bolognese was also very good. Service was perfect! My compliments to the whole team! Food
Enjoyed a pair of thin crust pizza before Citadel theatre musical. Parked in library underground and wakes up and across street, just a few minutes. Warm and inviting ambience with lots of seating options of high tops , tables, bar stools. We sat at the bar and had prompt friendly service from Ethan the bartender. Pizza could easily feed two people, but we wanted leftover for lunch. Crispy crust and flavourful toppings. Noted the pastas looked appealing but didn t sample. Very pleasant prelude to the musical.
Food was great but this place is busy and loud. You have to yell over everyone else around you and so hard to hear anything. Parking: Hard to find parking spots. Only paid street parking
Went to Bianco for bachelorette party and it was incredible. The baratta pizza and espresso martini were to die for. Best of all, our server Candice was incredible. The best service I have had in years! She was so friendly and engaged. All the staff went out of their way to accommodate the party, and brought such good energy.
One of the best meals that I have had... Travelling the last four weeks, I have eaten at several establishments. Rachel was detailed, friendly and engaged. The Gamberoni was amazing as a starter. The Linguine Al Nere - squid ink linguine with assorted seafood in a lemon butter sauce was the best pasta dish Ive had in years. The manager was detailed and friendly. Convinced us to go further with the pistachio gelato... One of the owners came by and you can hear his passion in the food. All the best and I will be back.
Bianco is an Italian eatery in the Rice Howard Way area of in downtown Edmonton. The space occupies one that has been occupied by numerous food establishments over the years...but it appears Bianco can make a long run in the space as they are always full of hungry food goers. The restaurant is well lit, modern in appearance and has a wonderful south facing patio. The service here is always professional and very helpful. As for the food, it is excellent. There are a few modern fusion Italian restaurants that are top shelf in Edmonton if not Canada, but Bianco serves its customers with a high level of commercial Italian fare that is very good. Highly recommend if you can get in. 4 x
We got a large pizza and pasta, but honestly it was too much. If youre not confident if you can finish it and you dont wanna bring it home, go with the smaller portions. We shared a large pizza between three but a smaller one would be better if youre going for an appetizer. I ordered a iced mocha latte and it was awesome. Even though it doesnt say mocha or iced on the menu, you can still ask for it and see if they have the ingredients. The Gelato was amazing, especially the fruit flavoured ones.
All I have to say is try the Carbonara....I dare you to take just one bite!!!!! It is sunshine in my mouth UPDATE: not going back, went for happy hour muscles, white sauce was ridiculously thick, our pasta dishes were lacking in sauce, and the young lady (hostess) was ridiculously snooty when we asked for a larger table so we could both sit on the booth bench. She snidely inquired, you want the larger table for just the two of you?, just wait, I will have to check if that is acceptable...haha...should have walked out. There was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant at 2 in the afternoon. This used to be a place we came to often, with friends but with that kind of uppity attitude, we will never come back
The best place for pasta!!
Bianco was very vibrant when I was here for dinner and I had one of the best dining experiences because of the service and the food. The server came at every single point of the meal at the right time, was very cheerful, and offered suggestions, i.e. more crostini with the Involtini, and what the dishes contained. In terms of food, I tried the Involtini, Gnocchi di Patate Dolci, and Campanelle Aragosta. Everything is at least worth trying. The Involtini had a few nice sized pieces of eggplants, which went well with the cheese and/or the tomato sauce. The crostini with tomato sauce, or with eggplant and cheese were really good. For this dish, the tomato sauce stood out the most as it was rich and flavourful. The gnocchi was really really good as well. It was perfectly cooked, with the right amount of flavour and complements. The gnocchi with the puree just makes one happy eating it. Complements tomatoes/spinach/leek added more layers to the dish. The Campanelle had a nice aroma and was really good. The pasta was cooked al dente. It was rich in flavour with a nice spiciness to it (from the fra diavolo sauce), and came in a surprisingly large portion - both the portion of the pasta and the amount of shrimp and lobster. The chunks of lobster felt fairly fresh as one could taste the lobster, and they made additional cuts to the shrimps which made the texture better and also perhaps so it s easier to absorb more flavour. Overall, all of the items are worth trying and it felt like a good value meal given the quality and quantity of food, and the service completed the experience, and I d rate them 9/10
One of the best in Edmonton!
Our dinner was outstanding! From the amazing service by our waitress to the impeccable dishes, drinks and dessert! We will definitely be back and we don t live close!
Excellent Food and Excellent Service. I Wish people dont wear hat/Caps at a fine establishment.
